Eagles' CJ Gardner-Johnson flips off Commanders fans after ejection

Philadelphia Eagles defensive back C.J. Gardner-Johnson had one last parting gift for Washington Commanders fans at Northwest Stadium on Sunday: two middle fingers.

Gardner-Johnson received a second unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in the second half and was kicked out of the game. He appeared to get into a scuffle with Commanders wide receiver Dyami Brown and was pushed in the helmet. Gardner-Johnson still received the penalty.

He responded to the incident on X.

"Respectfully got kicked out for nothing, I play with passion and fire!! Guys was chirping all day what u expect !!" he wrote.

The safety had three interceptions, a forced fumble and 57 total tackles for the Eagles this season coming into the game against the Commanders.

He added another interception to his total against Washington.

Losing Gardner-Johnson may have been as detrimental to the Eagles’ defense as losing Jalen Hurts was to the offense. Philadelphia led by 10 points when Gardner-Johnson was ejected and scored another three when they got the ball back after a fumble.

Jayden Daniels threw three of his five touchdown passes in the fourth quarter. The Commanders scored 22 points in the final frame and stunned the Eagles, 36-33.

"We didn't do enough," Eagles running back Saquon Barkley said. "We left a lot of plays out there, including myself."

The loss snapped a 10-game winning streak.

Jayden Daniels throws 5 touchdown passes as Commanders storm back to stun Eagles

The Washington Commanders never lost hope and were able to dig out from five turnovers to turn around and stun the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, 36-33.

Jayden Daniels had five touchdown passes in the game, three of which came in the fourth quarter. The Commanders were down 27-14 as the final quarter started. He threw a 4-yard touchdown pass to Olamide Zaccheaus to inch the team closer.

The Commanders forced the Eagles to punt on their next drive. Daniels then found Zaccheaus for a 49-yard touchdown pass to take the lead. For another six minutes, Washington was in control but back-to-back field goals from Eagles kicker Jake Elliott gave Philadelphia a lead with under two minutes to go.

Daniels then led Washington down the field on nine plays and found wide receiver Jamison Crowder with enough space in the end zone to make the go-ahead grab with six seconds left in the game. The Commanders took the three-point lead and they won the game.

Daniels was 24-of-39 with 258 passing yards. Along with his five touchdown passes, he also threw two interceptions.

Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. had two fumbles lost and wide receiver Dyami Brown had one, contributing to the large turnover number.

But Washington ultimately benefited from Philadelphia losing quarterback Jalen Hurts in the first quarter due to a concussion. Kenny Pickett subbed in for him and had 143 passing yards, a touchdown pass, an interception and three sacks.

Eagles running back Saquon Barkley had 150 rushing yards and two touchdowns. But the Eagles’ offense looked a bit anemic after scoring 21 points in the first quarter.

A.J. Brown led the team with eight catches for 97 yards and a touchdown.

Washington improved to 10-5. It’s their first 10-win season since 2012. The Eagles fell to 12-3.

Eagles’ Jalen Hurts ruled out with a concussion in first quarter vs Commanders

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Washington Commanders with a concussion after appearing to hit his head on the ground in the first quarter.

Hurts was scrambling on second-and-20 when he was tackled by Washington linebacker Frankie Luvu at the end of his 13-yard run. The contact forced Hurts’ head to bounce off the ground.

He was evaluated on the sideline before entering the medical tent. Hurts was then taken to the locker room and officially ruled out with a concussion.

Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett, who was traded to the Eagles in March, replaced Hurts and completed the drive with a four-yard touchdown pass to receiver A.J. Brown.

Jason Kelce expresses 'concern' about drone sightings, hopes to find out what they are 'someday'

Former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, like many other residents who have seen the drones in the sky, is concerned about them.

"It’s a little concerning that these things are just hovering. I don’t know what they’re looking for or what they’re trying to find, but they’re searching for something," Kelce said during a recent episode of "New Heights."

The FBI said it has received more than 5,000 reports of alleged drone sightings in the last "few weeks" on Monday, as residents seek answers as to what the drones could be.

"You know, some say that it’s just, you know…" Travis Kelce started.

"Just some people messing around?" Jason said, finishing his brother’s thought.

"They got some commitment to messing around if that’s the case. I don’t know what’s going on, hopefully we find out someday," Jason said.

RADIO LEGEND MIKE FRANCESA SAYS GOVERNMENT HAS TAKEN 'CAVALIER APPROACH' TO MYSTERIOUS NJ DRONES

The FBI, the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Aviation Administration, and the Department of Defense said while they "recognize the concern" from citizens, there is no evidence that the drones are "anomalous" or a threat to public safety or to U.S. national security, in a joint statement on Monday.

Travis was beginning to speculate about what the drones could be for before cutting himself off.

"Maybe it’s just a coastal safety precaution, just making sure there’s no, you know, alright let’s get out of here. I don’t want to get into conspiracies about what the f--- those drones are," the Kansas City Chiefs tight end said.

The drones were first spotted on Nov. 18 and have been seen every night since over the East Coast of the United States.

With the Chiefs playing three games in a span of 11 days, Kelce has a lot on his plate other than the drones to worry about at the moment.

The Chiefs defeated the Cleveland Browns 21-7 on Sunday, and will take on the Houston Texans at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday. They will then play in a rare Wednesday game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day.

Eagles' Jalen Hurts benefiting from 'pretty privilege,' ESPN NFL analyst says

Jalen Hurts has the Philadelphia Eagles back in prime contention for the Super Bowl despite criticism about some of his passing numbers slipping year over year.

Hurts had 290 passing yards and two touchdown passes in Sunday’s win against the Pittsburgh Steelers. With a shiny chain on, he started his postgame press conference asking reporters if "that’s what they wanted to see?"

CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM

Domonique Foxworth, a former NFL defensive back and current ESPN analyst, said on Tuesday’s "Get Up" that the lack of backlash from Hurts’ remarks after that game was a result of "pretty privilege."

"He got up at the press conference after the game, and he acted like he was Josh Allen," Foxworth said. "Look at this man with his Kangol looking like Nino Brown… with three thousand million trillion dollars worth of diamonds on his neck, and he acting like he just went for 400 yards for three weeks in a row.

"Man, you had one good week passing. And everyone forgets it when he starts batting his eyes at you."

"Pretty privilege" or not, Hurts has the Eagles on top of the NFC East through 15 weeks.

He has 2,892 passing yards, 18 touchdown passes and only five interceptions this season. His completion percentage (69.2%) is the highest it’s ever been in his career. And, his 12 wins have nearly matched his 14-1 season as a starter in 2022.

Philadelphia is riding a 10-game winning streak with three games left.

Eagles, Steelers players get into skirmish as rivalry game between title contenders heats up

It may be cold in Philadelphia, but the rivalry between the Eagles and the Pittsburgh Steelers heated up Sunday evening at Lincoln Financial Field.

A brief skirmish broke out in the first quarter after it appeared Steelers tight end Darnell Washington blocked Eagles defensive back Darius Slay into the back of the end zone. Players from both teams gathered around them and pushing and shoving ensued.

Washington and Steelers wide receiver Calvin Austin III were flagged for unnecessary roughness penalties. The Eagles accepted the penalty on Washington. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin was upset with the penalties and made it known to one of the officials.

Pittsburgh ended the drive with a 37-yard Chris Boswell field goal.

Philadelphia responded on the next drive. Jalen Hurts led the team down the field on a six-play, 70-yard drive that ended with a touchdown pass to A.J. Brown.

Both teams came into the so-called Battle of Pennsylvania as legitimate Super Bowl contenders. Russell Wilson seemed to be on his A-game in recent weeks with the defense playing as good as ever as they’ve been in contention for the AFC North crown.

The Eagles, though with some controversy surrounding Hurts and Brown, have maintained the NFC East lead over the contending Washington Commanders.

A win for either team would certainly add to their playoff hopes.

Eagles tandem Jalen Hurts, AJ Brown have fractured relationship, veteran teammate says: 'Things have changed'

The problems with the Philadelphia Eagles last year seem to be fixed, but apparently, there's one important relationship still fractured.

The Birds lost six of their final seven games to end the 2023 campaign, and many wondered if changes were coming.

However, they kept head coach Nick Sirriani, and that seems to have worked out well, as they are now 11-2 on the season.

But their quarterback Jalen Hurts and star wide receiver, A.J. Brown, might have their own issues.

The Eagles did win again on Sunday, but it was awfully close against the Carolina Panthers, and Brown called out the passing game. That led veteran defensive lineman Brandon Graham to say, "the person that's complaining needs to be accountable.

"I don't know the whole story, but I know that [Hurts] is trying and [Brown] could be a little better with how he responds to things," Graham said, before dropping a bomb.

"They were friends before this, but things have changed, and I understand that because life happens. But it's the business side, that we have to make sure the personal doesn't get in the way of the business," Graham said.

Graham later said he "made a mistake" to let that kind of cat out of the bag, and said he would apologize to both Hurts and Brown.

"I made a mistake and I assumed that it was something that it wasn't," Graham told ESPN. "I just want to win so bad that I don't just want to use the media when we need to talk about something and we can fix the problem ourselves. I didn't add to it in a good light, so that's my bad.

"I just assumed, and it made me out to look even worse because I had it all wrong and now people are going to run with that part. I really just want to win, man, and I want brothers to be able to just hash it out."

Brown and Hurts are in their third season as teammates, going to the Super Bowl in their first. Brown is on pace for his fifth 1,000-yard season in his six NFL seasons.

Panthers' Bryce Young receives praise for prayer as Eagles player suffers injury

Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young nearly led his team to a victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, but he received praise for one act during the game.

Eagles defensive back C.J. Gardner-Johnson went down with an injury in the fourth quarter. Young appeared to see Gardner-Johnson on the ground and took a moment to bow his head and pray for a moment.

NFL fans on X caught the moment and quickly posted about it.

It was a tough day for Gardner-Johnson, who initially left the game in the first quarter to be evaluated for a concussion. He then slowly walked off the field after the injury in the fourth quarter.

Young was 19-of-34 with 191 passing yards, a touchdown pass and had one interception. Carolina fell to Philadelphia 22-16.

Ultimately, Young was frustrated with the loss.

CHIEFS WIN AFC WEST FOR 9TH STRAIGHT SEASON AFTER GAME-WINNING FIELD GOAL GOES THEIR WAY

"There's no participation trophies, no consolation," he said, via the team’s website. "Coach says it all the time: it's about us, and when we're executing, we're at our best. We're able to just focus on that, and again, it's not a consolation for today, but it gives us some stuff on film to build off of, the opportunity to identify things we're doing well, how we continue to do it, how we build off of it and the same mindset of how we can improve on things.

"I think just being in the headspace is good for growth, but now it's on us to make sure we actually grow and take those steps."

Young has put together a solid redemption season after getting benched for veteran Andy Dalton at the beginning of the year.

He has 1,572 passing yards, seven touchdown passes and seven interceptions in 10 games. Carolina fell to 3-10 this season after dropping the game to Philadelphia.

Saquon Barkley sets new Eagles record in close win over Panthers

It wasn't the beatdown many expected, but the Philadelphia Eagles still took care of business at home against the Carolina Panthers in a 22-16 win on Sunday.

And it was Saquon Barkley, an MVP candidate this season, helping the cause with yet another milestone in his inaugural Eagles campaign.

Barkley set a record with nine games of over 100 or more yards rushing this season, totaling 124 yards on 20 carries.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM

But, while Barkley did tally triple digits in yards, he wasn’t able to find the end zone. Instead, it was Jalen Hurts getting tush-pushed from the one-yard line to score the first touchdown of the game.

Hurts, though, would get the other touchdowns with his arm, finding DeVonta Smith for his first score in more than a month, while Grant Calcaterra, who will be getting much more playing time with Dallas Goedert on the injured reserve, scoring his first career touchdown.

KENTUCKY BETTOR PLACES $3.1 MILLION WAGER ON EAGLES TO BEAT IMPROVING PANTHERS

However, this game came down to the final seconds, as Bryce Young and the Panthers' offense had a chance to win the game after a perfect punt from the Eagles put them on their own three-yard line.

But Young quickly got out of the hole, finding Xavier Legette for 31 yards after scrambling around his end zone and almost getting sacked for a safety.

Then, a few plays later, Young spotted Adam Thielen, who had a team-high 102 yards on nine catches, on fourth-and-7 for 13 yards to keep the drive going.

On 2nd-and-4 from the Philadelphia 32-yard line, an absolutely crucial drop came off Legette’s hands, as Young got C.J. Gardner-Johnson to bite down, leaving the rookie receiver wide open near the end zone.

Legette appeared to haul in the ball and roll into the end zone for the game-tying touchdown. However, referees quickly called it incomplete, and the replay showed that the ball touched the turf during the roll.

So, instead of an extra-point attempt to take the lead, Young found himself running for his life on fourth-and-9 with no timeouts left. He attempted to find Thielen again downfield to convert, but Darius Slay swatted it away to move the Eagles’ win streak to nine straight games.

On the sports betting side, an anonymous bettor in Kentucky placed a $3.1 million bet on the Eagles, a massive favorite, to beat the Panthers. It was sweatier than they wanted, especially on that Legette play, but the bet cashed for over $400,000 in profit.

Looking at the box score, Hurts was 14-of-21 for 108 yards and his two passing touchdowns, while rushing for 61 yards on eight carries.

For the Panthers, Chuba Hubbard found the end zone on one of his 26 carries for 92 yards on the day.

Kentucky bettor places $3.1 million wager on Eagles to beat improving Panthers

There’s no such thing as a sure bet, but one Kentucky bettor is surely hoping the Philadelphia Eagles don’t disappoint on Sunday.

The Eagles will host the Carolina Panthers on Sunday as the 12.5 point favorites, and according to ESPN, someone has placed a $3.1 million wager on the Eagles to do what they do best.

"We currently have the best Panthers [money-line] price on the board and will be big Bryce Young fans on Sunday," Circa sportsbook director Jeff Benson told the outlet.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM

According to the report, the bet was placed on Thursday at -700 odds. The initial bet was $1 million but the bettor asked for a bigger wager. If the Eagles win, the payout will be just under $450,000.

"I told my guys in the risk room to go to work and get some buyback on the Panthers," Circa Sports owner Derek Stevens told ESPN. "With us being in five states now, we should have the liquidity to get enough buyback to where we end up needing the Eagles."

SAQUON BARKLEY'S CRUCIAL TOUCHDOWN KEEPS EAGLES AHEAD IN WIN OVER RAVENS

Stevens added that Thursday’s wager is the largest his sportsbook has ever taken. According to ESPN, it’s also believed to be one of the largest ever placed on an NFL regular-season game.

Despite the odds, Carolina has come close to big upsets.

In their last two contests against the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Panthers lost by just a three-point margin. The loss to Tampa Bay was also in overtime.

Bryce Young has also seemingly rebounded from a mid-season benching, passing for 1,062 yards, with six touchdowns and three interceptions since returning to the starting lineup in Week 8.

Kylie Kelce says she sees husband Jason 'less now in retirement' than during his playing days

Retirement life has not come that easy for the Kelce family.

Kelce is a "Monday Night Football" analyst on ESPN, which keeps him on the road. Next month, he will also host a late-night show on the network, while he also hosts a podcast with his brother, Travis.

Jason and his wife, Kylie, have a fourth daughter on the way, but the three are a handful for Kylie, as Jason is "busier now than he has ever been," says his wife.

"I see him less now in retirement than I did when he was playing football," Kelce said on the debut episode of her "Not Gonna Lie" podcast. "We had a set schedule then. Now, it’s an absolute free-for-all. He is working so hard and really grinding right now. And so, I just make sure that I am covered. And if that means that he’s at the house and someone else is there just to make up the difference, then that’s what we have going on. He will not be watching the kids.

Saquon Barkley's crucial touchdown keeps Eagles ahead in win over Ravens

Saquon Barkley was a headache for the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday night.

The Philadelphia Eagles were able to make a 3rd-down conversion with 9:52 left in the game, and then Barkley got the ball. He ran for 14 yards on the next play. And two plays later, he beefed up the margin with a 25-yard touchdown run.

The run helped Barkley get closer to the 100-yard mark. He surpassed it on the Eagles’ next drive.

Baltimore scored a touchdown with 3 seconds left on the clock. Ultimately, Philadelphia won the game, 24-19, to pick up its 10th win of the season.

Barkley’s MVP-caliber season continued. He had 107 rushing yards on 23 carries. He also had two catches on four targets for 10 yards. It was the third consecutive game he rushed for at least 100 yards, and it was the sixth time out of the last seven games he hit 100 yards rushing.

SAM DARNOLD HELPS VIKINGS NOTCH 10TH WIN OF SEASON IN VICTORY OVER CARDINALS

Jalen Hurts was 11-for-18 with 118 yards and a touchdown pass to Dallas Goedert. He had 29 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown as well.

The Ravens could never break out of their funk after the first quarter. Baltimore was up 9-0 early in the game behind a 14-yard touchdown pass from Lamar Jackson to Mark Andrews. But they only scored another field goal before the half and a garbage-time touchdown to Isaiah Likely.

Tucker’s field goal woes continued in the game. He missed an extra point after the Andrews touchdown. He was 2-of-4 on field goal attempts.

Jackson was 23-of-36 with 237 passing yards and two touchdown passes. He also had 79 yards on the ground.

Philadelphia notched its 10th win of the season. Baltimore fell to 8-5.

Ravens star admits 'tall task' stopping Saquon Barkley this week, but Derrick Henry could be the solution

The Baltimore Ravens came away with a huge road win over the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday night as John Harbaugh beat his little brother, Jim, for the third time in their illustrious coaching careers.

While the Ravens got back in the win column, they have a short week and a very tough opponent upcoming which requires special attention from one player in particular when breaking down the film.

Saquon Barkley, the elite running back for the Philadelphia Eagles, has been putting together an MVP-caliber season that notched another milestone in the team's latest win over the Los Angeles Rams.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM

Barkley set the single-game franchise record for rushing yards with 255, breaking Eagles Hall of Fame member LeSean "Shady" McCoy, who had previously held it with 217 yards. Barkley did so by ripping over two monster rushing touchdowns, while also hauling four catches for 47 receiving yards to break 300 yards from scrimmage on his incredible night.

At the moment, Barkley is on pace to beat Adrian Peterson's 2012 rushing season with the Minnesota Vikings, where he ultimately won MVP after falling just nine yards shy of breaking the single-season rushing record by Eric Dickerson.

All of that is to say the Ravens have a "tall task," as one of their star defenders said to Fox News Digital.

RAVENS STAR KYLE HAMILTON TALKS ABOUT HELPING MILITARY CHILDREN FOR NFL'S ANNUAL MY CAUSE MY CLEATS

"A lot of teams have tried and failed at it this season," Ravens star safety Kyle Hamilton said while also discussing his choice of Our Military Kids as the organization to represent for "My Cause My Cleats" this week. "But I think on a short week, it’s gonna be a lot of preparation, just mental stuff to put us in the right position to be successful. Not being in the wrong gaps, not fitting wrong as a DB, tackling well.

"[Running the ball] I think that’s such a big part of this team. They run the ball really well, but they also have weapons on the outside to throw the ball to if you get too aggressive. They keep you honest, but I think knocking out the run game will help us out a lot winning that game."

Barkley leads the NFL with 1,392 rushing yards and has scored 10 times on the ground this year, making him one of the most productive backs in the NFL.

But Hamilton knows Barkley and the Eagles, while owning the top rushing attack at 193.4 yards per game, are not the best all-around offense in the league. He watches it every week when he’s on the sidelines.

The Ravens are averaging a whopping 426.7 yards per game compared to the Eagles’ 389.1. And while quarterback Lamar Jackson’s dual threat abilities with his arm and legs play a large role there, a lot of it has to do with the addition of Derrick Henry this offseason, which is clearly paying dividends.

In the Ravens’ win over the Chargers, Henry totaled 140 yards on the ground, giving him 1,325 total on the year – just behind Barkley. He also has 13 rushing touchdowns, though for the first time this season, he wasn’t able to find the end zone against Los Angeles.

While Hamilton and his defensive brothers are ready to make plays in one of the league’s most anticipated games this Sunday, he also wants to see himself on the sidelines more often than not.

That means Jackson, Henry and the Ravens’ offense are in control.

"We want to be out there playing and making plays, but typically if you dominate time of possession, you win the game," Hamilton explained. "Having those long drives, keeping us fresh and going out there playing fast. We get three-and-outs, you kinda get into a groove right there and you can get the score really high at that point. Score points, get a three-and-out.

"We’ve had plenty of games like that where we’ve made big waves. So, it’s something that’s easier said than done, but if we get consistent with that, we’re going to be tough to beat."

Two of the league's best teams, with the top two running backs in terms of yards, will be going head-to-head for a 4:25 p.m. matchup Sunday in Baltimore.

"I’m just more hurt on how we’ve been coming every week and trying to defy the odds and being with it and being with them. I'm still with them, I know that. I just needed this right here," Graham said on the show. "I needed to get this out. It’s been awhile since I’ve cried, man.

RAMS RECEIVER DEMARCUS ROBINSON ARRESTED ON SUSPICION OF DUI HOURS AFTER LOSS TO EAGLES

"I'm hurting a little bit, because, man, for the 15 years I've been here, and people doubting me, this was a big one for me, and I think I accomplished a lot this year. I know it's God's plan. I'm trusting it. That's where I'm at. I needed this, man. I needed this in a big way."

After the game, Graham said he was "content" if he were to have played his last snap, but he still wants to play.

Graham won the 2018 Super Bowl with the Birds, with whom he's spent his entire career since being the 13th overall pick in 2010 out of Michigan.

He made his lone Pro Bowl in 2020, but his best season came in 2022, when he recorded 11 sacks after playing in just two games the previous year. He finished fourth in the 2022 Comeback Player of the Year vote.

Rams receiver Demarcus Robinson arrested on suspicion of DUI hours after loss to Eagles

Los Angeles Rams receiver Demarcus Robinson was arrested early Monday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence after California police allege he was driving over 100 mph just hours after the team’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night.

Officers with the California Highway Patrol observed Robinson, 30, driving a white Dodge sedan "traveling in excess of 100 miles per hour" on U.S. Route 101 going northbound at around 5:10 a.m., according to a news release.

During the traffic stop, law enforcement officials "observed objective signs and symptoms of alcohol impairment." The veteran wideout was then arrested on suspicion of DUI and he was "cited and released to a responsible party."

He was arrested just a few miles away from the team’s training facility in Woodland Hills.

Robinson’s arrest came just hours after the Rams suffered a 37-20 loss to the Eagles at home on Sunday night. He had two receptions for 15 yards and one touchdown in the game.

Robinson is in his second season with the Rams. He has 26 receptions for 384 yards and a team-leading six touchdown catches while starting all 11 games this season.

EAGLES' SAQUON BARKLEY SETS FRANCHISE SINGLE-GAME RUSHING RECORD IN STATEMENT WIN OVER RAMS

The Rams did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment, but head coach Sean McVay is expected to speak to the media on Tuesday ahead of the Rams’ game against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.

Robinson signed with the Rams in 2023 after a brief stint with the Baltimore Ravens the previous year.

A fourth-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, Robinson spent the majority of his career playing for the Kansas City Chiefs, where he won the Super Bowl in February 2020.

Eagles' Saquon Barkley sets franchise single-game rushing record in statement win over Rams

Philadelphia Eagles star Saquon Barkley entered the record books with his performance in a 37-20 over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday night.

Barkley rushed for 255 yards and two touchdowns in the win. He set a record for the most rushing yards in a single game by an Eagles player and finished with the ninth most in a single game. He was four yards away from passing Jamaal Charles, who had 259 rushing yards in a single game. Adrian Peterson has the record with 296 yards.

Barkley, who has had a resurgence this season, was the sparkplug Philadelphia needed. He ran for a 70-yard touchdown to jumpstart the team coming out of halftime.

He put the exclamation point on the game in the fourth quarter. He received the hand off from Hurts, made a move and zoomed through the Rams’ secondary for 72 yards.

Barkley also had four catches for 47 yards.

Kenneth Gainwell added a touchdown of his own late in the third to add to their lead.

Jalen Hurts was 15-of-22 for 179 yards and had a touchdown pass to A.J. Brown. The star wide receiver had six catches for 109 yards.

JOSH JACOBS SCORES 3 TOUCHDOWNS AS PACKERS DOMINATE INJURY-RIDDLED 49ERS

Los Angeles was within six points of the lead after Matthew Stafford threw a 2-yard touchdown pass to Demarcus Robinson with 10:51 left in the third quarter. But after the Gainwell touchdown, the Rams missed a field goal on their next drive and punted after that.

Stafford threw a garbage-time touchdown to Cooper Kupp but the offense was far from what it needed to be to compete against the high-octane offense of the Eagles. They had no answer for Barkley.

The veteran quarterback had 243 passing yards on 24-of-36 passing. Puka Nacua led the team with nine catches for 117 yards. It’s the second straight game Nacua was over 100 yards receiving.

The Eagles (9-2) increased their NFC East lead over the Washington Commanders, moving two wins over them in the win column. The Commanders fell to the Dallas Cowboys in a barnburner earlier in the day.

Los Angeles fell to 5-6 as the NFC West continued to be as competitive as ever. The Seattle Seahawks picked up a win over the Arizona Cardinals while the San Francisco 49ers fell to the Green Bay Packers.
