A plane crash on property owned by Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Dion Dawkins Thursday left one person dead, officials in New York said.
The Buffalo Niagara International Airport issued an alert at around 11:16 a.m. ET that the aircraft had mechanical issues as it tried to get to White Plains, East Aurora Police Chief Patrick Welch said. The plane originated from Lansing, Michigan.
Around six minutes later, East Aurora dispatch received a phone call about a small plane crash in a wooded area, he added.
The plane crashed between two properties and in "close proximity" to Dawkins’ house, Welch said. WKBW-TV reported it was Dawkins’ property, citing property records.
The offensive lineman was excused from practice for personal reasons.
Welch said fire officials responding to the crash reported a "fully involved fire" upon arriving.
The pilot, who was the only person on board the 1979 Beechcraft A36, died, officials said, but was not immediately identified.
The National Transportation Safety Board said it would investigate the crash.
Dawkins, a three-time Pro Bowler, talked about the crash when he returned to practice.
"I still wonder why things happen in life, but tragedies happen all of the time. The biggest point about it is that I hope the pilot’s family is OK. I hope that they’re doing all right because somebody lost their life today for an accident," he said, via Syracuse.com. "I’m glad my family is perfectly fine."
The Bills have been preparing for a Sunday evening matchup against the New England Patriots.
Buffalo is 11-3 on the season, and New England is 3-11.
Josh Allen’s phenomenal season continues to impress as the Buffalo Bills charge toward the playoffs, and the potential league MVP has credited some of that success to his relationship.
So have his teammates.
Bills left tackle Dion Dawkins raved about Allen’s relationship with actress and singer Hailee Steinfeld just weeks after the couple got engaged. Dawkins told reporters that he believes Steinfeld has had a massive influence on Allen’s performance – which in turn has meant well for the Bills.
"Josh is having fun, we’re having fun watching him," he said Wednesday.
"I don’t want to keep bringing energy to it, but I’m telling you, when you have a strong female behind you and when you’re in the right mental space of going home and everything is peaceful and going to your cellphone and seeing a heart in your phone and it just makes you bubble – there’s something about it."
Allen seemingly agreed with that notion, telling The Associated Press that she’s been "a huge part" of what’s been working for him this season.
"The morale, the support. When I get home, she’s my biggest fan, my biggest supporter. She’s just the best," he gushed.
Allen proposed to Steinfeld during the Bills’ bye week and the couple have been linked since early 2023. But her positive influence isn’t just a figment of the Bills’ imagination.
Since the proposal, Allen has a combined 14 touchdowns, including seven passing, six rushing and even one receiving. His 37 touchdowns overall lead the NFL in a three-way tie with Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow.
The Bills are also coming off back-to-back high scoring games, including a 48-42 win over the Detroit Lions.
The Dan Campbell-led Detroit Lions mounted a strong comeback attempt in a game against the Buffalo Bills Sunday. But NFL MVP candidate Josh Allen, who was responsible for four touchdowns in the game, proved to be too much for the Lions to overcome.
While the 48-42 loss to the Bills represented the Lions' second loss of the season, it did not oust Detroit from the top spot at the top of the NFC. The Lions and Philadelphia Eagles enter Week 16 with a 12-2 record.
But the Lions did not reach 12 wins without their fair share of adversity on the injury front.
Multiple Lions players sustained what appeared to be serious injuries during Sunday's game. Campbell addressed the team's tough circumstances during his regular appearance on Detroit's 97.1 The Ticket. At one point during the conversation, an impassioned Campbell let some profanity slip.
"You know, what happens is you get used to eating filet — and I’m talking all of us — and everything’s good," Campbell said. "Life’s good, but you forgot what it was like when you had nothing and you ate your f------ molded bread. It was just fine, and it gave you everything you needed. Sometimes you gotta get punched in the mouth and remember what it used to be like to really appreciate where you are, and we’ll do that.
"We got a bad taste in our mouth. We got kicked around the other day. We lost a few guys. And you know what? It’s exactly what we needed. This is exactly what we needed."
Campbell also said he doesn't care how the Lions win, as long as his team has more points than its opponent at the end of a game.
"And I don’t give a crap whether we gotta win by one point for the rest of the year, that’s what we’re going to do," Campbell added. "And I’m going to be happy about it. We come out of the game with 50 yards of total offense, and we win by one? You’re going to see smiles on my face. I promise you.
"If it’s the other way, defensively we give up 700 yards, and we win by one point, you’re going to see a f------ smile from my ear to ear, all right? I can promise you. So, we’re going to find a way, and we’re going to get it done."
In October, star defensive lineman Aidan Hutchinson fractured his left tibia and fibula. The injury will likely sideline him for the remainder of the regular season, but he could return to action in February should the Lions advance to the Super Bowl for the first time in franchise history.
"We’re going to miss him, man," Campbell admitted. "He’s another one of these guys that got us to this position — helped get us to where we’re at. And the rest of us, we owe him to keep going and make sure that wasn’t in vain."
Injuries will keep defensive lineman Alim McNeill and defensive backs Carlton Davis and Khalil Dorsey on the sideline the rest of the season. Campbell also confirmed that running back David Montgomery is lost for the year due to an MCL injury.
The Detroit Lions tried one final onside kick attempt in the waning seconds of their six-point loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday evening and nearly recovered the ball.
Things got a little too close for comfort for Bills cornerback Taron Johnson as he and his teammates fought for the football at the end of the game.
"Whole lotta pulling, a whole lotta pinching, putting fingers where they’re not supposed to be and all that stuff. We just did a good job on that play," Johnson said, via WROC-TV.
Johnson was the Bills player who initially recovered the ball. Lions kicker Jake Bates tried to sneak one past the opposing team by kicking it toward the middle of the field rather than the sideline.
Detroit learned the hard way that recovering onside kicks has been nearly impossible this season due to the new dynamic kickoff rules. Teams must declare their intentions to perform an onside kick before doing it.
The Lions attempted one early in the fourth quarter after cutting the lead to 10 points. Bills wide receiver Mack Hollins returned it to the Lions’ 5-yard line and Buffalo scored on the next play.
Entering Week 15, only 3-of-41 onside kicks were recovered.
NFL executive Troy Vincent said the competition committee may have to consider options to revive the onside kick because it has become a "dead play."
"I think all has to be on the table," Vincent said. "When we adjusted the kickoff five, six years ago, that also (impacted) the onside kick. You used to have overload, attack blocks, trap blocks that occurred on that play, which was a pretty dangerous play. You can set people up for failures is what we would say.
"I think you have to look at all aspects. You should be able to do that in any quarter. It’s not a surprise onside kick. I think all of those things have to come back to the table. We should explore. Our effort should be to make every single play a competitive play and that includes that play whether it’s first quarter or fourth quarter."
The Philadelphia Eagles proposed an adjustment to onside kicks last year. It would have let teams try a 4th-and-20 from their own 20. If converted, the team would get the ball back.
NFL legend J.J. Watt criticized Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell for his decision for an onside kick early in the fourth quarter against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
The Lions opted for the onside attempt while down 10 points with about 12 minutes left in the game. Instead, Bills wide receiver Mack Hollins returned the bouncing ball 38 yards to set up a Josh Allen touchdown pass to Ray Davis. Buffalo went back up 17 points.
"It was a 10-point game. With 12 minutes left. I don’t understand," Watt wrote.
"I ‘think’ I could wrestle a small bear, that doesn’t mean I should try it. I love that DC believes in his squad so much that he thinks everything they do will be successful. But onside kicks have a 7% success rate. Trying one with 12 min left while only down by 10 was insane."
The element of a surprise onside kick was nixed to usher in the dynamic kickoff. Teams must declare their intention of an onside kick and can only try it in the fourth quarter.

The Philadelphia Eagles proposed an adjustment to onside kicks last year. It would have let teams try a 4th-and-20 from their own 20. If converted, the team would get the ball back.
Josh Allen added to his MVP resume on Sunday as he accounted for four touchdowns in the Buffalo Bills’ 48-42 win over the Detroit Lions on the road.
The Bills moved to 11-3 on the season, while the Lions are now 12-2.
Allen, the MVP frontrunner in Vegas, threw for 362 yards on 23-of-34 passing with two passing touchdowns. But the first two scores for Buffalo in this one came on the ground for Allen, who had 11 carries for 68 yards.
Buffalo got off to a 14-0 start at a tough Ford Field as Allen orchestrated back-to-back touchdown drives in which he scored from one yard out and four yards out, respectively.
Jared Goff and the Lions, though, are one of the best offenses in the league, and you knew they were going to respond somehow.
On the Lions’ third drive, Goff found Tim Patrick after scrambling out of the pocket, and he used his entire wingspan to get the ball across the goal line to make it a 14-7 game.
But James Cook, who had two touchdowns and 105 yards rushing on 14 carries, found the end zone for the first time on the ensuing drive to maintain the gap.
It’s what the Bills did all game long: maintaining the lead despite how many times the Lions scored.
And they got in six times as Goff threw for a whopping 494 yards and five touchdowns on 38-of-59 passing.
Amon-Ra St. Brown, his trusty target, had 14 catches to account for 193 of those yards with a score on a 66-yard catch-and-run, and Jahmyr Gibbs tallied one on the ground and one through the air.
Goff even threw a touchdown to offensive lineman Dan Skipper from nine yards out as offensive coordinator Ben Johnson pulled out all the stops to get back into the game.
But Allen and the Bills would reciprocate the scores, with Ray Davis and Khalil Shakir accounting for Allen’s passing touchdowns on the day.
Ty Johnson, Cook’s backup, was also the leading receiver for Buffalo with 114 yards on five catches.
For the Lions, Sam LaPorta had 111 yards on seven catches and Gibbs finished with 83 yards.
Former Buffalo Bills star wide receiver Eric Moulds has been accused in a lawsuit of knowingly giving several women sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).
The woman who filed the lawsuit told the Buffalo News that Moulds "knew, or should have known, he had a sexually transmitted disease" and failed to disclose the disease before they became intimate. The newspaper reported that Moulds allegedly gave the woman herpes simplex virus type 2.
Herpes simplex type 2 spreads by sexual contact and causes genital herpes, according to the World Health Organization. It is treatable but not curable.
The lawsuit said Moulds’ pregnant fiancée contacted the plaintiff and recommended she get tested for STDs and that the plaintiff learned via social media of other women who claimed to have been given STDs by the former NFL player.
"I think about women that may be in the same situation I am, and I know what I would have liked to have seen for myself," she told the Buffalo News.
Frank LoTempio III, who represents Moulds, told the newspaper the allegations against his client are false.
"We are in the process of gathering information/evidence and will be responding to the complaint, which we will vigorously defend," he added in a separate interview with Newsweek. "I will have more information and comments once the litigation process starts."
The lawsuit said Moulds allegedly contacted the woman in 2018 via social media and entered into a romantic relationship in January 2023, with the pair allegedly having their last sexual encounter in November 2023, according to the paper.
The woman said she tested positive for the disease in December 2023 despite having no sexual partners other than Moulds in that span.
Moulds was a first-round pick out of Mississippi State in 1996 by the Bills. He played with Buffalo through the 2005 season and spent the final two with the Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans, respectively.
He was a Pro Bowler with the Bills three times during his career.
He finished his NFL career with 764 catches for 9,995 yards and 49 touchdowns.
Tracy McGrady and Vince Carter are among a group of minority stakeholders joining the ownership group of the Buffalo Bills, the team announced Wednesday.
Jozy Altidore, the former U.S. men’s national soccer team star, is also in the group of 10.
This is the first time in franchise history the Pegula family has brought in secondary shareholders for their team. The Pegulas remain the principal owners.
According to the Bills, the private equity firm Arctos is also entering the fold as part of the new ownership group. Arctos has stakes in many leagues, including the NHL, NBA, MLB and MLS.
It is unclear just how much each new shareholder paid for a piece of the team, which is valued at $4.2 billion, according to Forbes.
For McGrady and Carter, ownership runs in the family now. They are cousins who played as teammates early in their illustrious NBA careers with the Toronto Raptors.
McGrady was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2017, and Carter entered in October.
McGrady was a seven-time All-Star, seven-time All-NBA selection and a two-time scoring champion over his 15-year career.
"T-Mac" spent his first three years in Toronto after being taken ninth overall in the 1997 NBA Draft. But his All-Star seasons — seven straight — came with the Orlando Magic over four seasons, followed by the Houston Rockets, where he was an All-Star three out of his six seasons with the team.
McGrady also played for the New York Knicks, Detroit Pistons and the Atlanta Hawks before ending his career in 2012.
Carter spent 22 seasons in the NBA, earning eight All-Star bids and two All-NBA nods. Most of his seasons came with the Raptors, who just retired his No. 15. He averaged 23.4 points per game over 403 games with the franchise.
Carter moved on to the New Jersey Nets, followed by the Dallas Mavericks, Memphis Grizzlies, Atlanta Hawks, Magic, Sacramento Kings and Phoenix Suns. Carter retired after the 2019-20 campaign.
A slew of scoring came between the Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium on Sunday, but it was the home team, led by the combination of Matthew Stafford and Puka Nacua, that came away victorious.
It was a massive win for the Rams, as they’re now 7-6 in a tight NFC West race after the 44-42 win. Meanwhile, the Bills, now 10-3, hurt their chances at the No. 1 overall seed in the AFC.
The most points in an NFL game all season came from these two high-octane offenses, and it began immediately on the opening drives for both of those teams.
Stafford and the Rams went 12 plays and 70 yards when Kyren Williams rushed in from three yards out to start the scoring.
Then Josh Allen, who was phenomenal despite the loss, responded with a nine-play drive that went 70 yards as he ultimately snuck his way into the end zone from one yard out to make it 7-7.
Los Angeles, though, created a gap with a perfectly executed special teams play that ultimately helped the victory. After a field goal made it 10-7 in favor of the Rams, the defense forced the Bills to punt, but that ball never made it in the air as it was blocked and Hunter Long recovered the ball for the scoop-and-score touchdown.
At 17-7, the Rams never trailed again in this game. Allen tried his best to keep scoring, but Stafford was always coming right back.
And a lot of that had to do with Nacua, who had a game-high 162 yards on 12 receptions with a touchdown both on the ground and through the air.
There was also Cooper Kupp accounting for 92 of Stafford’s 320 yards and his second passing touchdown of the game.
In the fourth quarter, Allen was pulling out all the stops to try to win the game, and he managed to lead three scoring drives, including one with a minute left to play.
However, a failed quarterback sneak resulted in Bills head coach Sean McDermott using the first of three timeouts for the half, which was crucial because it meant an onside kick had to be performed instead of kicking it deep and giving the defense a chance to make stops.
The onside kick from Tyler Bass was recovered by Ronnie Rivers, and the Rams held on for the victory.
Looking more into the box score, there wasn’t much else Allen could’ve done. He scored three times on the ground while leading the Bills with 82 rushing yards on 10 carries, while going 22-for-37 through the air for 342 yards with three passing scores.
Khalil Shakir was once again his top target with 106 yards on five catches, including a 51-yard catch-and-run that went for six points. Amari Cooper also had 95 yards on six catches, while Mack Hollins and Ty Johnson collected touchdowns through the air.
For the Rams, Williams would find the end zone twice on the ground and lead the team with 87 rushing yards on 29 carries.
With Buffalo trading Stefon Diggs, the Jets getting a healthy Aaron Rodgers and the Dolphins having a high-powered offense, many expected the Bills to take a step back.
Well, with the division came a copy of the receipts.
The Bills social media team trolled those who doubted them in the preseason, posting a montage of experts predicting the Dolphins or Jets as the AFC East winner.
They also posted a video of talking heads saying the Bills would not come out on top.
One of those in the video was Rich Eisen, who admitted defeat.
"I’m gonna raise my hand and say my bad…" Eisen said on his show Monday. "For some reason, I saw the cheese of Stefon Diggs being a Texan and the back end of that defense being devoid of a lot of those bold, big-name guys that helped them have a Super Bowl window open with the generationally brilliant Josh Allen in his rookie contract and in the early years of his next contract…
"I looked at all of that and I thought to myself, this is the time the Buffalo Bills can get got… It was wrong. Not just wrong, dead wrong. I mean, absolutely way off the mark awful wrong."
The Dolphins suffered from another Tua Tagovailia concussion that caused him to miss four games, and the Jets have had the biggest nightmare season possible.
As for the Bills, they sit one game back of the one-seed behind the Kansas City Chiefs, but with Buffalo winning their meeting earlier this season, the Bills do have the tiebreaker if they were to finish the season with the same record.
Josh Allen made every play a quarterback could make and more.
Fresh off his engagement to pop star Hailee Steinfeld, Allen had to deal with the driving lake-effect snow that plagued the Buffalo area over the holiday weekend and into Sunday night against the San Francisco 49ers.
Allen definitely had more pep in his step as the Bills took down the 49ers, 35-10. Buffalo also clinched the AFC East division for the fifth straight season.
The superstar quarterback got into the scoring column with a 7-yard pass to wide receiver Mack Hollins before halftime. Buffalo had a 21-3 lead going into the locker room but were far from finished.
Allen was credited for a receiving touchdown in the third quarter after Amari Cooper lateralled the pass from Allen back to the quarter, who then ran in for a score. Allen officially had zero catches but seven receiving yards and a receiving touchdown.
To cap off the night, Allen ran for an 8-yard score in the fourth quarter to put the game completely out of reach. Mitchell Trubisky took over from there.
Allen became the first NFL quarterback to throw for a touchdown, run for a touchdown and catch a touchdown in a single game since the merger, the team said.
He had 148 passing yards on 13 completions as well has 18 rushing yards.
Bills running backs James Cook and Ray Davis also were able to get on the board. Cook had a 65-yard touchdown run while Davis had a 5-yard touchdown scamper. Cook had 107 rushing yards on the night and Davis had 59.
The 49ers had no answer to the Bills’ offense the entire night. Players didn’t appear to get any type of feel for the snowy conditions as they were slipping and sliding across the surface.
San Francisco’s best hope was to get Christian McCaffrey every possible opportunity. But the running back suffered a knee injury in the first half and never returned.
Brock Purdy was under 100 yards passing. He was 11-of-18 with 94 passing yards. He was sacked twice. Isaac Guerendo scored San Francisco’s lone touchdown.
Buffalo is now on a seven-game winning streak and have 10 wins on the season.
San Francisco fell to 5-7 and it looked like their season was about to slip away.
The San Francisco 49ers will take on the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night as wicked weather plagued the New York area and covered Highmark Stadium in snow.
Fans did their best to shovel out the snow as kickoff neared. Photos showed several people embarking on the task of trying to clear the snow from seats, walkways and the field.
New York State Department of Transportation workers did their best to clear roads around Highmark Stadium.
"NYSDOT forces have been doubling up on plow beats in and around the stadium since last night on Route 20, Route 20A, Route 219, Route 5, and Route 179," the agency wrote on X. "Tow trucks will be on standby to clear vehicles quickly and ensure traffic keeps moving.
"Go Bills!"
Another one to two feet of snow was possible for western New York and another two to three feet of snow was possible for areas in northern New York, according to New York Gov. Kathy Hochul’s office.
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen's recent engagement to actress Hailey Steinfeld hasn't been met with celebration by everyone.
Allen's ex-girlfriend, Instagram influencer Brittany Williams, has recently deleted a comment and a post from her account after news of Allen's engagement.
The comment was in response to a user who was asking whether the influencer hadn't found her "next athlete yet."
"Luckily my boyfriend owns a team and doesn't have to play for one," Williams wrote. "Don't have to be with another brain dead CTE athlete."
Williams later deleted the comment and posted a story in which she claimed her account was hacked.
"My accounts have been hacked several times tonight. Trying to get it resolved. If anyone has any tips please [let me know]," Williams wrote. That story was later deleted as well.
The current boyfriend of Williams is unknown.
The model previously opened up about her split from the NFL star in an interview on the "Martinis and Bikinis" podcast in February.
"I was with my ex-boyfriend for 10 years," she said. "I would say that coming into the dating world was very, very, very difficult for me at first, because I’m just like, I never thought I would be here again. But here I am. I am very happy now. The dating life in New York is absolutely crazy, but it’s so much fun. It was so entertaining."
Williams even went on to say that breaking up with Allen has led to her feeling "giddy."
"I’m giddy right now just talking about it because it’s so much fun. I’m having the ‘Sex and the City’ moment. . . . It is crazy out here on these streets, I’ll just say that. It’s hard, but it’s beautiful because it makes you realize everything you want and makes you not settle for anything more than that.
"For me, it’s been the most fun and exciting experience, and I’ve learned so much about myself. I’ve learned what I like and what I don’t like, and I’m not going to entertain anything other than someone that I think is actually meant for me or whatever it is."
Break-up rumors between Allen and Williams swirled starting in May 2023, when Williams unfollowed the quarterback on Instagram and appeared to celebrate her birthday without him. Additionally, any mention of Buffalo was removed from her account.
Things got a bit more interesting when the two went to the Kentucky Derby, but without each other. One of Williams’ friends had an eyebrow-raising post on her Instagram Stories.
"Now accepting husband applications @brittwilll," the post read.
Meanwhile, Allen and Steinfeld were first linked in the spring of 2023 when they were photographed dining together in New York City. They have become one of the NFL's most private power couples, compared to the likes of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift.
Allen and Steinfeld are rarely seen together publicly. But now they are set to tie the knot.
Meanwhile, Williams will look to improve the security on her Instagram account for her 142K followers.
Allen knelt down on a knee surrounded by candles and a flower arch.
The couple posted the engagement to their Instagram accounts in a joint post, captioning it with the date they got engaged sandwiched between two infinity emojis.
Allen's teammate, Dion Dawkins, said earlier this year the quarterback was "in love" with the "Starving" singer. The two have been dating since May 2023.
Allen's Bills are 9-2 this season, and he is again in the MVP race. He has completed 64% of his passes for 2,543 yards and 18 touchdowns.
Before the bye week — and engagement — the Bills handed the Kansas City Chiefs their first loss of the season.
Allen will be back on the field Sunday in Buffalo against the defending NFC champion San Francisco 49ers, and a huge winter storm is expected to slam the area.
Smith said Trump actually told him he would run for president if his bid for the Buffalo Bills at the time did not come to fruition.
"He called me in 2014. This is a true story… He says, ‘Stephen A., I’m trying to buy the Buffalo Bills.’ Price tag was $1.4 billion. He had about $1.1 billion. I was being told he wasn’t gonna get the team," Smith told Bill Maher on the latter's podcast earlier this week.
"He said, ‘Stephen A., if these motherf---ers get in my way’ - talking about the NFL owners - 'these motherf---ers get in my way, I’m gonna get them all back. I’m gonna run for president.’ That’s what he said!"
The Pegula family wound up buying the team for the price tag, Smith said.
Trump reflected on his Bills bid in an episode of "Bussin' With The Boys" earlier this year.
"I don’t think it was a very serious run, but I gave them a guarantee of $1 billion, so that’s always serious, right?" he said at the time.
Trump was the majority owner of the New Jersey Generals of the original USFL in the 1980s, which occurred after he attempted to buy the Baltimore Colts. He had also expressed interest in buying the Dallas Cowboys and New England Patriots.
Taylor Swift fans set their sights on the wife of Buffalo Bills player Baylon Spector for some trash talk over Sunday's big game.
After the Bills gave Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs their first loss of the season on Sunday, Ryleigh Spector took the opportunity to boast. The linebacker's wife made a post on social media celebrating the Chiefs' victory while taking a shot at Swift.
"9-2! Never a Swiftie," she wrote on her Instagram Stories over a photo of her at the game.
The brag quickly caught the attention of Swift fans across social media, who rushed to attack Spector while defending Swift.
"And the jealousy always shows up," one user wrote.
Another user even went out of her way to psycho-analyze Ryleigh and make comparisons to a high school girl.
"She obviously has a very low self-esteem to go out of her way to put down Taylor Swift. When I read all this crap I think I’m back in high school. I wonder why our country is so screwed up. We have a hard time treating people with kindness very sad to see," the user wrote.
Another user said the linebacker's wife should be embarrassed.
"Really? So unnecessary and immature. You would think women would support someone who has brought so many other women and children for that matter back to loving the sport. Shows their true character. They should be embarrassed," the user wrote.
Meanwhile, one user attacked Ryleigh and others who have mocked Swift, while also expressing frustration over the idea that Swift fans would be characterized by the attacks in defense of their pop idol.
"What a (add expletive here). Honestly this kind of crap creates mean behavior — then people blame the Swifties. This is crap FROM crap," the user wrote.
Spector is only the latest current or former partner of an NFL player to be attacked by Swift fans. Just before the season started, fans attacked one of Swift's friends and the wife of Kelce's teammate.
Brittany Mahomes, who is married to Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and is pregnant with their third child, was attacked by Swift fans in August just for liking a post on Donald Trump's Instagram account.
Brittany was linked to other showings of support for Trump, and Swift made headlines for not sitting in the same suites at Chiefs games ahead of the election earlier in the season. It made Mahomes a frequent target of Swift fans, as the wife and mother made multiple social media responses to the hate comments she was getting, and even had to seek advice from her husband on dealing with the attention, she said on the "Whoop" podcast Aug. 28.
"Having him to help me get through it has helped a lot because he is very good at managing those things and blocking people out and doing all that type of stuff," she said. "Having him beside me and kind of guiding me, coaching me through it has helped a ton. I think that’s kind of gotten to where we are at now.
"I think the main thing he always told me is like, ‘Stop caring about what people think, especially the people that don’t even know you,’" she said. "And so I think social media used to get me a lot, and now it’s just like, honestly, I don’t give a f--- about what people have to say about me anymore."
Swift fans also attacked Kelce's ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole and WNBA star Angel Reese after Reese hosted Nicole in a podcast episode in early October.
Nicole went into detail about her romantic relationship with Kelce and its aftermath.
"We’ve seen each other in public spaces before, but it’s – I think that we’re both aware of the nature of his new situation that there’s just no room really for us to communicate or acknowledge each other publicly without it being spun into something crazy," Nicole said of Kelce and his new relationship with Swift.
Nicole also claimed she has received hate since Kelce began to date Swift.
"I would be lying if I said that that level of hate and just, like, online chaos doesn’t impact me," Nicole said. "It does, even to this day. You can go to my most recent post, and it will be people debating each other why I am worthless, and I’ll never be a talented person and I have no career."
The comments ignited a controversy on social media, with some defending Nicole and sympathizing with her. The criticism against Reese for hosting Kelce's ex prompted a response from the Sky rookie days later.
"Hating pays too," Reese wrote in a post on X with emoji of painting toenails.
Now, Spector has joined the Swift army rogues gallery. With a potential playoff matchup between the two teams once January comes around, it could be just the beginning of Spector's reputation among the singer's fan base.
