If The Last of Us is going to do anything, it’s hit viewers with an overly emotional penultimate episode.

Spoilers for The Last of Us Season 2, Episode 6 below.

The highly anticipated flashback episode shows a glimpse of how Ellie (Bella Ramsey) and a very much alive Joel Miller (Pedro Pascal) spent the last five years in Jackson. But first, the show took viewers even further back to Austin, Texas, in 1983.

A young Joel (Andrew Diaz) comes face to face with his father (Tony Dalton) for an emotional discussion about parenting — which comes into play later on in the episode. Joel’s watch (the one he never took off even though it was broken) is revealed to have originally belonged to his dad.

Flashing forward to 2024, Ellie and Joel have lived in Jackson for two months, and it’s her 15th birthday. Joel gets her a cake and gifts her a guitar that he made. (Yeah, he called her “babygirl” at one point too, but let’s not talk about that.)

The following year, Ellie turns 16 — and their relationship is still very much intact. Joel takes Ellie to “space” by bringing her to an abandoned museum he finds while patrolling the woods.

Things start to change on her 17th birthday, however, with Ellie doing “all the teenage s*** all at once,” including getting a tattoo, doing drugs and hooking up in her bedroom. In the middle of the night, Ellie starts making moves to create a bedroom in the garage and Joel agrees that they need their space.

“You may not like the rules, but this is my house,” Joel states. Ellie replies, “No, it isn’t. You don’t own it. They gave it to you. Sorry, to us. You don’t own anything.”

The show then jumps two years, which puts viewers in 2028 (the year before Joel dies), and Ellie spends her birthday morning rehearsing a conversation she needs to have with Joel about what really went down in the hospital with the Fireflies when he “saved” her. The conversation never happens because Joel offers Ellie her birthday gift — her first-ever patrol. This is where, for lack of a better term, s*** really starts to go down.

Ellie and Joel are having a peaceful patrol with him teaching her the ropes when they find a Jackson community member, Eugene (Joe Pantoliano), who has been bitten by Infected. Joel promises Ellie that they will take Eugene back to Jackson so he can say goodbye to his wife, Gail (Catherine O’Hara). However, he lies and shoots Eugene dead. Ellie, in a rage, realizes that Joel lied to her about what really happened in the hospital all those years ago.

A nine-month time jump brings viewers back to New Year’s Eve in 2028 — the day before Joel gets murdered. He and Ellie finally have a much-needed conversation.

“You’re such an a******. You lied to me. You looked me in the eyes, and you lied, and it was the same face. Same f***ing look,” Ellie says. “I think I knew already. I knew this whole time. So I’m going to give you one last chance. Tell me what happened with the Firefiles. If you lie to me again, we’re done.”

Joel admitted to killing everyone in the hospital at the end of season 1, telling Ellie that she was the only one immune to the Cordyceps virus and a cure could have been made from her brain — but it would have killed her.

“Then I was supposed to die. That my purpose, my life would have f***ing mattered, but you took that from me! You took that from everyone,” Ellie yells. Joel replies, “Yes, and I’ll pay the price because you’re going to turn away from me.”

Joel admits that if given a second chance, he wouldn’t have changed a thing.

“Because you’re selfish,” Ellie declares.

Joel responds, “Because I love you in a way you can’t understand. Maybe you never will. But if that day should come, if you should ever have one of your own, well then, I hope you do a little better than me.”

Both Ellie and Joel are sobbing at this point.

“I don’t think I can forgive you for this,” Ellie says. “But I would like to try.”

Joel dies the next day.

The current status of Blake Lively’s friendship with Taylor Swift has raised some questions about where Gigi Hadid falls.

“Gigi has always had a closer friendship with Taylor and stands by her,” a source exclusively tells Us Weekly. “She has been a very loyal friend to Taylor, and they have been best friends for a decade now.”

The insider notes that Hadid, 30, “hasn’t necessarily chosen sides” between Lively, 37, and Swift, 35, and the current status of their friend circle is a “reflection of the closeness her and Taylor have shared over the years.”

Swift was the one who introduced Hadid to Lively, the source explains, adding that Hadid and Lively “really haven’t been as close in almost a year” but there are “no hard feelings” between the two.

“As Taylor has begun to distance herself from Blake, Gigi has naturally done the same,” the insider says. “The shift wasn’t abrupt, but gradual and organic change in dynamics.”

Swift’s famous friendship with Lively has taken quite the turn as of late and Hadid “doesn’t want to be involved at all,” the source tells Us. “They haven’t been in touch much this year and it does have everything to do with the lawsuit.”

Lively is in the midst of a highly public legal battle with It Ends With Us costar and director Justin Baldoni. Lively initially sued Baldoni for sexual harassment in December 2024. Baldoni retaliated with a $400 million countersuit of his own. (Both have denied all allegations hurled at each other.)

Earlier this month, Swift was subpoenaed in the suit.

“Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film,” a representative for the singer told Us in a statement on May 9. “She did not even see It Ends With Us until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history.”

The statement continued: “The connection Taylor had to this film was permitting the use of one song, ‘My Tears Ricochet.’ Given that her involvement was licensing a song for the film, which 19 other artists also did, this document subpoena is designed to use Taylor Swift’s name to draw public interest by creating tabloid clickbait instead of focusing on the facts of the case.”

As Swift’s name continues to come up in the legal battle (Baldoni’s suit included texts from Lively that referenced Swift), she and Lively’s friendship has continued to fracture.

“Taylor and Blake have talked, but it’s strained,” a separate source told Us in our cover story published earlier this week. “Their friendship is not what it used to be.”

Taylor Jenkins Reid has been slaying the historical fiction world for years — but she’s also making a pretty successful foray into the entertainment industry.

“I’ve felt for a really long time that I have a lot of ambition,” the author told Vanity Fair in August 2022. “And I felt like I needed to hide it. And then I felt like, ‘Well, it’s OK to say it.’”

Reid’s ambition has paid off in a big way with eight novels — and a ninth coming in June 2025 — under her belt and several TV and film adaptations. “I never take for granted what is happening for my books now, because I learned how this industry works at a much smaller pace, and — I don’t know — I think if my first book was a massive hit, I don’t know if I’ve had that perspective,” Reid told BuzzFeed News in April 2023 about her continued success. “And I love that perspective.”

‘Carrie Soto Is Back’

In April 2025, it was announced that Williams would be producing Reid’s novel about fictional tennis legend Carrie Soto at Netflix. Deadline was first to report the news at the time, but other details about the project have yet to be announced.

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy has not been shy about sharing his support for Taylor Swift over the years.

The controversial internet personality is a longtime Swiftie who started going viral regarding his support of Swift when it came to her drama with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.

“I’ve never seen anybody try to suck up like she is to Taylor Swift,” Portnoy said of Kardashian during an October 2023 episode of his “BFFs” podcast. “We all remember what you did with Kanye when you edited the footage and tried to make Taylor seem like a crazy liar.”

Portnoy was, of course, referring to the 2016 drama surrounding West’s song “Famous” in which he apparently called Swift for the OK to use her name in the first verse. Kardashian posted an edited video of the phone call, seemingly making Swift seem complicit. However, Swift was not privy to the full lyrics, including the chorus, “I made that bitch famous,” which was shown in a leaked video of the full phone call years later.

The Kim Kardashian of It All

Four years after Kardashian first released the video of Swift and West, the full phone call was leaked. Portnoy went on the “Chicks in the Office” podcast at the time to back Swift.

“Basically, everything Taylor Swift has said, which I’m sure you laid out the entire way is the truth and everything that Kim said has basically been a version of a lie or manipulation of the truth,” Portnoy stated during the March 2020 podcast episode. “Taylor Swift is off on her own island minding her own business and keeps getting dragged into their world through no fault of her own — and started with Kanye when he interrupted her acceptance speech.”

The ‘Midnights’ Support

Portnoy was quick to share his favorite songs from Midnights when Swift dropped the record in October 2022.

“I thought it was pretty f—ing good. I am a Taylor Swift fan,” he said on the BFFs podcast at the time. “I’ve been a Taylor Swift fan for a while. I think she’s a genius.”

The ‘Eras Tour’ Jacket

Initially, Portnoy didn’t know if he was going to attend the Eras Tour — let’s not revisit the Ticketmaster debacle — but thanks to a fellow Barstool employee, El Pres went to night one at MetLife in May 2023.

His outfit went viral when it was revealed to be a custom denim jacket featuring all of Swift’s musical eras. Following his time at the concert, Portnoy decided to pass along the jacket to other Swifties. An Instagram account has since been made for the special piece of merch where fans connect over the jacket and share letters of their experience at the concert.

Calling Out Brittany Mahomes

Portnoy was not happy with Patrick and Brittany Mahomes — who have formed a friendship with Swift because of her relationship with Travis Kelce — worked with Kardashian’s Skims brand.

“I’m on an airplane, and I don’t want to make too much noise, I hope everyone can hear me for this emergency press conference, but when Taylor Swift news strikes, I gotta be there to answer for the Swifties,” he said in a November 2023 TikTok. “We gotta protect Mother. Maybe Brittany Mahomes had her head in the f—ing sand and doesn’t know the history, in which case, she owes Mother and all of us an apology.” (Swift and Brittany, meanwhile, appear to still be close friends.)

‘ThanK you aIMee’

Of course, Portnoy had a lot to say when Swift released this song in April 2024 on her The Tortured Poets Department record.

“I have been at the forefront of this for years, saying [to] the Swifties, we do not forgive, we do not forget,” Portnoy said in the viral video. “She writes a song, Taylor, ‘ThanK you aIMee,’ K-I-M capitalized.”

He continued, “This is Taylor’s masterpiece.”

Swift’s Letter

In October 2024, Portnoy read a handwritten letter that was delivered to him by Swift’s brother, Austin Swift, during a Miami Eras Tour show. He also said that he met Swift’s mom, Andrea Swift, in the VIP tent.

“Dave, I am so happy you are at the show tonight. I wanted to say thank you for always being so supportive, so loyal, for having my back when a lot of people didn’t,” the letter read. “I hope you have a blast tonight. Love, Taylor.”

Decision to Call Out Kanye West

Portnoy explained why he decided to defend Swift in her longtime drama with West during a May 2025 appearance on the “Club Shay Shay” podcast.

“Kanye is a piece of s***. Kanye’s an absolute piece of s***. I don’t get how people defend him,” Portnoy said. “I think Kanye gets one of the great free passes of all time.”

Portnoy brought up the 2009 VMAs incident — mistakenly referring to it at the Grammys — and the “edited” Kardashian phone call drama, explaining that’s how he became a fan.

“What he did at the Grammys the first time, he stole her award — this is a 17-year-old girl,” Porntoy continued. “I don’t know what his problem is. He thought someone else should win. You have no problem with her. This girl’s 17 and you’re stealing it.”

Portnoy also detailed receiving the handwritten note from Swift at an Eras Tour show.

“I think she appreciated the support because Kanye’s huge. Sometimes I don’t think [people realize] — and people have said that about me — the influence he wields,” Portnoy added.

Sean “Diddy” Combs made his music industry debut in the early 1990s and has racked up a long list of collaborators and famous friends.

Over the years, Diddy used his power in the industry to create longtime relationships with various rappers.

However, as of late, Diddy has faced his fair share of controversy. The music mogul’s two homes in Los Angeles and Miami were raided by Homeland Security in March 2024, reportedly in connection with federal sex trafficking allegations. (Diddy has been accused of sexual assault by multiple men and women since ex-girlfriend Cassie filed a lawsuit against him — which has since been settled — in November 2023. “Earlier today, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York executed law enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation, with assistance from HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami, and our local law enforcement partners,” Homeland Security told Us in a statement. “We will provide further information as it becomes available.”

Diddy’s lawyer Aaron Dyer told Us in a statement that the raid showed “a gross overuse of military-level force as search warrants were executed.” He added: “There is no excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated.”

Dyer called the raids an “unprecedented ambush” and “a premature rush to judgment of Mr. Combs and is nothing more than a witch hunt based on meritless accusations made in civil lawsuits,” in part.

The statement made it clear that Diddy was “never detained but spoke to and cooperated with authorities” amid the situation. “There has been no finding of criminal or civil liability with any of these allegations. Mr. Combs is innocent and will continue to fight every single day to clear his name.”

Fans resurfaced a video in March 2024 that showed a 15-year-old Bieber hanging out with Diddy for 48 hours.

In a second resurfaced video, apparently taken months later, Diddy could be heard asking Bieber why they haven’t “been calling me and hanging out with me the way we used to.”

When Diddy’s trial started in May 2025, there was further speculation about whether Bieber was involved in any alleged misconduct.

“Although Justin is not among Sean Combs’ victims, there are individuals who were genuinely harmed by him,” Bieber’s rep said in a statement to Us Weekly at the time. “Shifting focus away from this reality detracts from the justice these victims rightfully deserve.”

Mariah Carey

Carey released her The Meaning of Mariah Carey memoir in 2020, and name-dropped Diddy ­— specifically recalling one time her former manager and ex-husband Tommy Mottola allegedly made racial comments about the rapper.

“‘Puffy will be shining my shoes in two years,'” he allegedly said, per the book, referring to Diddy’s former moniker Puff Daddy. “It was one of the very few times I stood up to Tommy, telling him that what he had said was blatantly racist. I was pissed.”

“It started over Punk’d cause he’s like, ‘Yo, you can’t punk me.’ I was like, ‘I don’t know what to tell you, everybody’s on the table.’ So, that started our conversation,” Kutcher recalled on “Hot Ones” in 2019, saying that this interaction led to them becoming “fast friends.”

Though they often put on a united front with their royal spouses, it didn’t take long for whispers of competition between the two women to spread. Reports of a heated interaction before Meghan and Harry’s wedding emerged in 2018, claiming that Meghan left Kate in tears over Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress. With no Real Housewives of New Jersey news until at least 2026 (as confirmed by Andy Cohen himself), Us Weekly had to find a way to fill the Garden State-sized hole in our hearts. That’s where Melissa Gorga comes in.

The RHONJ star launched her Let’s Sprinkle by MG brand in December 2024, so Us decided to try the iconic sprinkle cookies — which launched a thousand TikToks — and her newly launched sprinkle coffee cake.

The most loyal of Bravo viewers know the importance of a good sprinkle cookie. Once upon a time, Gorga showed up to sister-in-law Teresa Giudice’s house on Christmas Day with a plate of sprinkle cookies.

“I said to her, ‘Melissa, nobody touched the cookies you brought.’ I threw them in the garbage,” Giudice said during season 3 of RHONJ. “You know what my favorite cookies are? Pignoli cookies. That’s all I said.”

Unlike Giudice, Us Weekly staffers would not throw away Gorga’s sprinkle cookies.

“They do not skimp on the sprinkles, which is good,” Deputy Digital Editor Sarah Hearon shared. “I think a lot of times sprinkle cookies do not have enough sprinkles. That is usually my biggest critique.”

Hearon noted that the sprinkles are “the most important part” when it comes to this type of cookie. However, she did wish the treats were a bit chewier.

Senior writer Shelby Stivale declared, “If anyone knows anything about a sprinkle cookie, it’s Melissa Gorga.”

The Let’s Sprinkle by MG Coffee Cake — the newest offering on Gorga’s website — is described to taste buttery with a hint of vanilla. And there was no skimping on the sprinkles or crumbs.

“Melissa Gorga, you can really have your cake and eat it too,” Stivale said. Hearon added, “It tastes like it would be really good with a cup of coffee. I taste a little bit of the strudel — the cinnamon kinda vibes but not overpowering.”

Both Us staffers did hope that the sweet treats could bring Gorga and Giudice together again. (The women have been in an on-and-off family feud for years — even before the cookies were involved.)

“It would be really nice if Melissa and Teresa could, instead of breaking bread, maybe break some sprinkle cake,” Hearon quipped. Stivale added, “I feel like they could reach a resolution over a piece of this cake.”

Details from Nikki Garcia and Artem Chigvintsev’s divorce settlement have reportedly been revealed.

Garcia, 41, agreed to pay Chigvintsev, 42, a monthly sum of $3,500 in child support for care of their 4-year-old son, Matteo, according to a report published by TMZ on Thursday, May 15. The former WWE pro was also ordered to pay a lump sum of $200,000 — half of which will be paid out now with the other half set to be paid before the end of the year.

Court documents obtained by TMZ also stated that Garcia will be responsible for Matteo’s speech therapist. However, she and Chigvintsev will split the cost of their son’s other activities. The former couple will split holidays with their son and Garcia received both trusts that were formed in her name.

Us Weekly has reached out to Garcia and Chigvintsev’s reps for comment.

Nikki Garcia Details 2 Physical Fights With Artem in Restraining Order Docs

Us confirmed in November 2024 that Garcia and Chigvintsev had settled their divorce three months after they decided to split.

“Nikki and Artem have settled their divorce and will not be going to court,” Garcia’s rep shared in a statement. “Both parties decided to drop the domestic violence restraining orders against each other in an effort to move on with their lives and effectively coparent their son.”

The statement concluded, “Nikki’s number one priority has always been her son and privacy on the matter. She is thankful for all of the love and support she has received during this difficult time.”

Garcia and Chigvintsev filed for divorce in August 2024 after an alleged physical altercation that took place in Napa at the time. Us confirmed that Chigvintsev was arrested for domestic battery booked on a felony domestic violence charge. He was released on bail that same day. A judge declined to charge the former Dancing With the Stars pro the following month. (Both Garica and Chigvintsev filed for restraining orders against each other amid the drama, but they have both been dropped.)

“Everything was very shocking, all of it. And I think that was a main reason why I knew I had to disconnect. I was in shock,” Garcia told Us Weekly exclusively in January for her first interview following the divorce. “You couldn’t have ever told me that this would’ve been the ending of my 2024 or my marriage — [I] wouldn’t have believed you.”

Garcia explained that it took “a long time” for her to “process everything that happened,” so she decided to disconnect.

“I’m definitely finding more moments of joy,” she told Us, noting that she’s “stronger” in the aftermath. “[I’m] excited to just live this new era of me.”

King Charles III is worth significantly more than he was last year.

U.K. publication The Sunday Times published their annual “Rich List” on Friday, May 16, which is a look at the finances of some of Britian’s biggest names. Charles, 76, did not make it into the top 10, but his estimated £640 million (which converts to nearly $850 million) is still impressive.

According to the newspaper, Charles’ estimated net worth rose by close to £30 million (which converts to nearly $40 million) from 2024 to 2025. The list also noted that Charles significantly rebuilt his finances after his £17 million divorce (which converts to $22 million) from Princess Diana in 1996.

The most recent Sunday Times “Rich Lists” have revealed that Charles is significantly wealthier than his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, ever was prior to her September 2022 death at age 96. It was estimated that she reached a net worth of $486 million.

Us Weekly previously reported that Charles makes nearly $25 million a year as the King of England.

Biographer Robert Hardman previously weighed in on the royal family’s wealth during an interview with The Times, stating that “people do get confused about the royal finance.” He also explained that they don’t technically own duchies or certain estates.

“In all honesty their financial arrangements really aren’t as complex as [those of] many royal families and rulers in other countries, which are often far more opaque,” the royal historian shared in April 2023. “Our monarchy really isn’t as wealthy as many people would believe. I certainly don’t think the King is a billionaire.”

The main source of income for the monarchy comes from a taxpayer-funded settlement known as the Sovereign Grant, which is paid out annually.

In June 2024, it was reported that the Sovereign Grant is set to raise to £132 million (which converts to $175 million) in 2025-2026, compared to the £86 million (which converts to $114 million) figure from 2024-2025. (The Sovereign Grant money also goes to property upkeep and staff costs.)

The sum is calculated as the level of profits earned by the Crown Estate, which is a commercial business that owns and manages an expansive portfolio of land and property for the monarchy. This is used as a benchmark calculated to fund the royal family.

The same June 2024 report stated that the Crown Estate will reassess the Sovereign Grant for 2026-2027 and ensure that it is at an “appropriate level.”

Cassie emotionally embraced husband Alex Fine in a resurfaced video from 2019.

The clip was filmed after Fine, 32, ran a staggering 50-mile marathon in California to raise awareness for domestic violence victims. Social media users have reshare the video online as Cassie — whose real name is Casandra Ventura — continues to take the stand in the highly publicized trial against her ex-boyfriend Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Cassie took her relationship with Fine public in December 2018, after she and Diddy split. They got married in September 2019 and have since welcomed two children with a third on the way. Cassie is currently pregnant with their third child.

Social media users have pointed out how Cassie’s raw emotion in the near 30-second resurfaced video mean more after she took the stand to testify about the alleged abuse she suffered during her on and off relationship with Diddy from 2007 to 2018. (Diddy, 55, is being charged by the U.S. government on a barrage of charges, all of which he has denied.)

Cassie first took the stand on Tuesday, May 13, and was questioned by the prosecution for two days before being cross-examined by the defense starting Thursday, May 15. She is set to face her second day of cross-examination on Friday, May 16. (Fine has been present in the courtroom for a majority of Cassie’s testimony.)

The 38-year-old singer’s emotional testimony earlier this week detailed her first meeting with Diddy at age 19 in 2005 and how things turned romantic two years later.

Cassie also detailed the physical abuse she faced on several occasions throughout their relationship, as seen in part by a hotel surveillance video from 2016 that was published by CNN last year. The video showed Diddy physically assaulting her in the hallway at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles. What was released to the public had no audio, so Cassie attempted to recall what was said between her and Diddy during her time on the stand.

Cassie claimed Diddy said she “couldn’t” leave him when she was trying to leave the hotel. She also alleged that he threw a glass vase with flowers at her.

“I didn’t get hit. I remember it hitting the wall,” Cassie stated on Tuesday. “He was yelling at me and threw it at me.”

The musician also detailed a separate alleged incident that took place in 2013. Cassie claimed that Diddy had thrown her down and she cut her eyebrow on the corner of a bed. She alleged that his security brought her to a plastic surgeon to treat the injury. Cassie recalled sending Diddy a photo of the cut stating “so you can remember,” and said she has a scar from the incident.

Cassie also testified on Wednesday that she was forced to hide in a hotel room for one week after being allegedly stomped on and beaten by Diddy. She recalled wanting to see her mom at the time but claimed “it wouldn’t be safe” to leave as the physical wounds healed.

In November 2023, Cassie filed a lawsuit accusing Diddy of repeated physical abuse and sexual assault for the duration of their relationship. Diddy denied the allegations and settled with Cassie outside of court one day after she filed. Cassie revealed during her time on the stand this week that she received a $20 million settlement.

Diddy was arrested in September 2024 and charged with sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution. He pleaded not guilty to all charges and has denied all of the allegations against him.

“We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office,” Diddy’s attorney Marc Agnifilo said in a statement at the time. “He is an imperfect person, but he is not a criminal. To his credit Mr. Combs has been nothing but cooperative with this investigation and he voluntarily relocated to New York last week in anticipation of these charges. Please reserve your judgment until you have all the facts. These are the acts of an innocent man with nothing to hide, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court.”

Since his arrest, Diddy has been held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. His four requests for bail were denied by Judge Arun Subramanian.

Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds spent how much on Wrexham AFC? The actors have been candid about putting up millions of dollars for the Welsh soccer club.

The duo famously bought the then-failing soccer (football in Wales) club for $2.5 million in 2020, but have since turned it into a major franchise. However, as the team continues to get better — they’ve been promoted three times in three years — McElhenney and Reynolds have continued to pay up.

During the Welcome to Wrexham season 2 premiere in September 2023, Reynolds even joked that he would “sell” one of the four children he shares with Blake Lively to raise the $25.5 million for the team. (Reynolds and Lively are parents of James, Inez, Betty and Olin.)

Building a Stadium

The expansion of Wrexham’s Racecourse — their stadium — has been a multi-year project and it’s not cheap.

“We applied to the U.K. government for some money to build a fancy new stand there and got denied,” Wrexham executive director, Humphrey Ker, shared during a May 2024 Welcome to Wrexham episode. “But we decided to demolish the stand anyway and then we applied for more money, got that approved and then ran into any number of exciting regulatory issues that we had to iron out before we built the damn thing.”

They decided to build a temporary stadium, which left McElhenney and Reynolds with a net profit of negative $456,458.

Adding the Women’s Team

Just like the men’s team, the Wrexham AFC’s Women’s team can be promoted to other leagues. A May 2024 episode of Welcome to Wrexham revealed that the women athletes weren’t able to make any money.

“We asked last year when they were in the amateur status, could we pay them. The answer was no, by rule. In this league, you have limits on what you’re allowed to pay them,” McElhenney shared. “Just another one of the really fun U.K. regulations in football that hold you back from doing some of the things you want to do.”

They eventually joined the Adran Premier League — the top women’s football league in Wales — which allowed them to become a semiprofessional team, and get paid.

The Team’s Worth

The Welcome to Wrexham season 4 premiere in May 2025, revealed that the team is worth a near-$12 million. (The market value was listed at $11.98 million.)

Similarly, the teams wage bill — what they’re paying employees — was revealed to be $8.22 million.

Pulling the Trigger

After two years with two promotions, Wrexham came to a turning point during the Welcome to Wrexham season 4 premiere in May 2025. They had the option to stay in League One with a stabilized scenario, meaning they would risk losing $1 million over a few years and not get promoted, or McElhenney and Reynolds could take a more aggressive approach.

The actors agreed to put out an approximate $50 million for the hope of getting promoted to the Championship League at the end of the 2025 season. (The team was promoted in April 2025.)

“Do we essentially want to do the most responsible thing, which is build a team that’s sustainable in League One or do we want to put all of our chips on the table and make a push to get promoted and get into Championship?” McElhenney asked. The big risk here is the possibility of not getting promoted.

“I just say, let’s go for it,” Reynolds stated. “Let’s f***ing do it.”

Blake Lively appears in the Welcome to Wrexham season 4 premiere — kinda.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney reunited in Wales for the Wrexham AFC opening match — filmed in August 2024 — during the latest episode of their hit FX docuseries, which premiered on Thursday, May 15.

In the series premiere, the men embrace in the middle of the field as Lively, 37, is seen oh-so briefly stepping into the background so her husband can giveMcElhenney, 48, a proper kiss on the cheek. Reynolds, 48, is also seen putting a very special gift in the Wrexham clubhouse during the same scene.

“One of our owners, I can’t remember which one it is, is Deadpool, the popular comic book character,” Humphrey Kerr, Wrexham community director, said during his confessional. “In the most recent film, a number of cameos were executed by Wrexham AFC players.”

Paul Mullin, the team’s star striker, portrayed Welshpool in 2024’s Deadpool & Wolverine. Reynolds graciously gave the player’s costume to the team after the movie had been released.

“Ladies and gentlemen, Welshpool. That’s gonna have some fun drunken nights in here, I think,” he quipped. “That is the actual suit. Unwashed, of course. He probably used it as a bathroom.”

During the unveiling, the camera panned to a crowd of people watching Reynolds. — including Lively, who was smiling at her husband’s antics.

Fellow Wrexham striker Ollie Palmer also made a cameo in the record-breaking Marvel film. The athlete teased his small role while chatting with Us Weekly exclusively before the movie hit theaters last summer.

“I would say Ryan’s [a] really creative guy. He’s a fantastic writer,” Palmer told Us at the time. “There’ll be some surprises in there, I’m sure — and mine might be a tiny one. If you blink on a certain surprise, you might miss me.”

He added, “It’s only a small thing, but it was good. It was obviously great to be around Ryan.”

Palmer also told Us that he’s down for anything that might come his way as a result of Reynolds and McElhenney’s antics — especially as one of the Welcome to Wrexham breakout stars.

“I do enjoy being in front of the camera,” Palmer said. “Some people don’t, some people hate it. Some people like it and don’t admit it. And some people do enjoy it, and I do enjoy it — and hate watching it. I hate watching myself, but I do actually enjoy it.”

The royal family feels “hurt and betrayed” after Prince Harry spoke about their family drama earlier this month — but Prince William had the strongest reaction, a source tells Us Weekly exclusively.

“William is more hurt than anything else,” the insider said, referring to Harry’s bombshell BBC interview from May 2, noting that William, 42, and his wife, Princess Kate Middleton “are not giving” Harry, 40, and wife Meghan Markle “the time of day.”

Harry claimed during his recent BBC interview that King Charles III “won’t speak to me” but still pleaded for a reconciliation with his family. He did not, however, mention William or Kate. (The interview came after Harry lost his appeal for government-funded security in the U.K. He hinted at his father being a part of the decision.)

William and Kate, 43, are keeping their conversations about Harry and Meghan, 43, to a minimum for “a less stressful environment.” The Prince of Wales is focused on supporting his wife as she recovers from her ongoing health battle. (Kate announced in March 2024 that she was diagnosed with cancer and has been in remission since September of that year.)

“No one on the staff can mention Meghan’s name to Kate right now, her name is basically banned because of the stress around it, and she doesn’t want it anymore,” the source added, alleging that Kate “will never see Meghan again,” even if the royal family reconciles with Harry. (Rumors about a rift between Kate and Meghan have been swirling for years. The most notable drama surrounding Princess Charlotte’s dress for Harry and Meghan’s 2018 wedding — which apparently left both women in tears.)

The Duke of Sussex has been estranged from his family since deciding to step back from royal duties alongside Meghan in 2020 and move to the United States permanently. (Harry and Meghan married in 2018 and share two kids, son Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 3.)

“Everything changed when Meghan came into the fold,” the same source added. “[But] she’s not blamed for everything, and Harry is a part of it.”

While William and Kate “can forgive Harry because he’s family,” they “don’t want to see Meghan again,” the source added.

“The first step is to stop talking to the public about private matters,” the insider shared. “They don’t see a path forward until Harry can stay quiet.”

Teresa Giudice and Gia Giudice are joking about their ongoing family feud with Joe Gorga and Melissa Gorga.

“Celebrity boxing match? Joe Giudice v. Joe Gorga,” Gia, 24, quipped during the Wednesday, May 14, episode of her “Casual Chaos” podcast, alongside her mom. “Let’s make it happen.”

Teresa, 52, said she would “f***ing love to see that one,” adding that her ex-husband, Joe Giudice, would “body slam” her brother.

“The only way your father would do that, only if he gets paid a lot of money,” Teresa added. “Then, he could give it to me.”

Former Danity Kane singer Aubrey O’Day is set to testify in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ high-profile trial, Us Weekly can exclusively confirm.

A source confirmed to Us that O’Day, 41, was subpoenaed and has traveled to New York City to testify “sometime this week or next week” as the trial continues. (Diddy’s trial began on May 5 with jury selection with opening arguments starting on Monday, May 12. Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all charges.)

“It’s nerve-wracking, but she’s ready. She’s not going to back down. She wants justice for everyone,” the insider said, hinting that O’Day has a project in the works that will be about the Diddy trial.

O’Day shared details from her travels to New York City via Instagram on Wednesday, May 14.

“We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office,” Diddy’s attorney Marc Agnifilo said in a statement at the time. “He is an imperfect person, but he is not a criminal. To his credit Mr. Combs has been nothing but cooperative with this investigation and he voluntarily relocated to New York last week in anticipation of these charges. Please reserve your judgment until you have all the facts. These are the acts of an innocent man with nothing to hide, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court.”

Since his arrest, Diddy has been held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. His four requests for bail were denied by Judge Arun Subramanian.

Prince William is detailing his experience with grief amid Prince Harry’s ongoing rift with the royal family.

“Grief is the very worst pain any child or parent will ever endure, and while we cannot prevent these losses, we can ensure that every possible type of expert support and care is given, to help rebuild the lives of those affected,” William, 42, shared in a statement on Wednesday, May 14, announcing the merging of Child Bereavement U.K. (a charity for which he is a patron) and Winston’s Wish.

William detailed the “life-changing impact” of Child Bereavement U.K. in his statement, praising “the support, care and compassion” that the charity showcases.

“I have also seen the growing need for support of this kind, and it is because of this increasing demand that I am delighted that Child Bereavement UK and Winston’s Wish are joining forces to expand their impact,” William said. “They have recognized that together they can do so much more, and I commend them both for taking this bold step to reach more people and help to reduce the long-term challenges that unresolved grief can cause.”

William has his own experience dealing with grief following the death of his mother, Princess Diana, in August 1997. He was 15 and Harry was 12 when she died at age 36 in a car crash in Paris.

His statement comes nearly two weeks after Harry, 40, detailed their family rift in a bombshell BBC interview. After losing his appeal in the ongoing battle for government-funded security, Harry claimed that his father, King Charles III, “won’t speak to me.” (Harry previously alluded to Charles being involved in the decision regarding his security.)

“I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore,” Harry said during his May 2 interview. “Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has.”

Harry’s rift with the royal family has only deepened since he and wife Meghan Markle decided to step away from their roles as senior working royals in 2020.

“William doesn’t talk about Harry anymore,” the insider shared earlier this month. “Everyone knows it’s a subject that they shouldn’t bring up, so he hasn’t brought up the interview and won’t.”

The same source noted that William “is done” with his brother, telling Us, “When he becomes King, everybody thinks the divide will become even wider.”

Bachelor Nation alum Peter Kraus reflected on his relationship — or lack thereof — with Bryan Abasolo, nearly eight years after they appeared on Rachel Lindsay’s season of The Bachelorette.

“I [only] knew Bryan … within that show. And during that time, I knew he wasn’t a person that I enjoyed spending time with personally,” Peter, 40, said during the Wednesday, May 14, episode of their “Almost Famous” podcast. “There was nothing against him. He wasn’t the type of guy I wanted to hang out with.”

His honest answer came after Ashley Iaconetti brought up a comment Peter made during his infamous fight with Rachel, 40, on The Bachelorette finale, which aired in August 2017. At the time, Peter told Rachel to “go find someone to have a mediocre life with,” during their breakup.

“I think I felt that I knew in that moment that I could provide a very healthy, happy relationship with this person. Whether that was true or not, I can’t tell you. But in that moment, it’s what I felt,” Peter explained. “The relationship that I had built with her to that point seemed like it would be a lot of fun to be in after that time.”

Peter owned his “very hurtful and inappropriate” comment during Wednesday’s episode.

Peter was Rachel’s runner-up and Rachel ended up getting engaged to Bryan, 45, whom she married in 2019. After more than four years of marriage, Us Weekly confirmed in January 2024 that they had filed for divorced. Their divorce was finalized one year later.

Ashley, 37, asked Peter about his reaction to Rachel and Bryan’s divorce announcement.

“I figured if they were able to make it through all that hardship that they experienced after the show — because it seemed like so many people turned on them, and there’s so much dramatization of the downfall of their relationship prior to it even not succeeding — I figured if they can make it through that, they can make it through anything,” he added.

Celebrity medium Tyler Henry is offering a major update following brain surgery.

“Brain surgery was a success! Great prognosis, incredible staff, and I feel so thankful to be surrounded by my family,” Henry, 29, shared in an Instagram caption on Wednesday, May 14. “I’ll be on bedrest for a month and look forward to getting back to doing readings.”

He added, “For those of you who connect with me virtually, not much should change as far as private reading giveaways and group readings, right now I’m just on the mend. For those curious, I had a colloid tumor near the center of my brain and thankfully most of it has been removed!”

Henry joked that “the tumor, not my brain” was removed, signaling that he was in good spirits.

Henry has previously undergone brain surgery, as revealed in a 2023 Instagram post. At the time, he shared a throwback photo that was taken just after Henry’s 18th birthday.

“Only a week later an MRI revealed a congenital brain cyst that lead to emergency surgery after weeks of headaches. Without the inevitable brain surgery that ensued, I don’t think I would of had such a firsthand awareness of the fragility of life. It was an intimate reminder for me of the fine line dividing this realm and the next.”

Henry’s most recent health scare came just after the Life After Death With Tyler Henry star announced that he and Clint Godwin had tied the knot.

“Today, we are married! Life with you is an endless sleepover with my best friend and life’s just getting started,” Henry announced via Instagram on May 7. “I knew when we met nearly a decade ago that you would be the one, and that conviction only grew stronger with every day. Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas have been raising some major eyebrows with their recent joint outings.

“It’s low-key, still new and in the early stages,” a source confirmed to Us Weekly exclusively. “Their romance is definitely on the down low.”

The insider shared that de Armas, 37, and Cruise, 62, met through Hollywood circles over the years—with the Blonde star getting a thumbs up behind the scenes from mutual friend Penelope Cruz, who “raved” about the Cuban-born beauty.
