Jason Bateman Jokingly Asks Will Arnett, Amy Poehler About Romance ‘Fracture’

15 April 2025 at 14:36

When Amy Poehler appeared on the “Smartless” podcast, cohost Jason Bateman took the opportunity to jokingly ask her and ex-husband Will Arnett to explain the details of their split.

“So, Amy and Will, how did you guys first meet?” Bateman, 56, quipped on the Monday, April 21, episode, earning laughs from the exes and cohost Sean Hayes. “We’re going to get into it. When did it first start to fracture?”

Poehler’s appearance on the podcast came as a surprise to Arnett, 54, and Bateman, who are not briefed on Hayes’ weekly guests. (Each episode, the trio takes turns inviting a guest on the podcast while leaving the other two cohosts in the dark. Poehler, 53, was asked to join by Hayes, 54.)

Before interviewing Poehler, Hayes briefly explained the history behind Poehler and Arnett’s relationship to the audience — and his sister, Tracey. (As fans of “Smartless” know, Hayes will add context to industry stories and information to keep his sister up-to-date.)

“You guys were married and now you’re not and it’s been years and years and everything is going swimmingly,” Hayes explained, as the others laughed.

While Arnett claimed he asked Poehler to appear on the podcast before her debut, Bateman inquired whether Hayes had tried to “float” the idea of having the Parks and Recreation alum on “Smartless” by her ex-husband.

“What are you guys talking about? Why do you have to float anything past anybody? Guys, nice, by the way, great welcome. Nice to see you all,” Poehler quipped. “I mean Jesus, you’re all talking about how weird it is that I’m here. Hi, I’m your guest. Nice to see you. Happy to be here.”

Arnett and Poehler — who are parents to sons Archie, 16, and Abel, 14 — split in 2012 after nine years of marriage. Two years later, Arnett filed for divorce, which was finalized in 2016. (Four years later, Arnett welcomed son Alexander with girlfriend Alessandra Brawn.)

Amy Poehler and Will Arnett: The Way They Were

Arnett, for his part, gushed that he’s “really proud” of his coparenting relationship with Poehler.

“Of course, things take a minute because everybody is sort of adjusting to what it is. I’m also very proud of, certainly as parents, what we’ve been able to do. That has been really important to both of us. I’m really, really lucky to have her as a partner in this way,” Arnett gushed on the podcast. “There aren’t many people I speak to more than I speak to her, which is weird, you know what I mean. But it’s great. I feel really lucky.”

He continued, “She is somebody that I still run a lot of stuff by. … She’s the person that I go like, ‘Hey, I’m thinking about doing this.’ Whether it’s life or work and I really seek her counsel because it’s important to me because I trust her. She’s awesome.”

Gerry Turner Compares Quick Connection With GF to Golden Bachelor's Faith

15 April 2025 at 12:58

Prior to meeting his new girlfriend, Gerry Turner‘s closest feeling to love at first sight was on The Golden Bachelor — but not with his winner, Theresa Nist.

Speaking about his unnamed new love on the Tuesday, April 15, episode of the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast, Turner, 73, revealed his connection has been strong since the moment they met.

“I hate to say it because I know I’m going to get baseballs thrown at me. It was almost the first time I saw her,” Turner said when asked how he knew his new relationship was becoming more serious. “It was the look that she gave me. It was like, all of a sudden, I was consumed by this look and I had this actual physical feeling and I pushed it off. I go, ‘That was silly, that’s ridiculous.’ And with every encounter that feeling has instantly come back with her look and it’s like, ‘Damn, this is pretty awesome.’”

After cohost Joe Amabile asked whether Turner had felt those feelings with any women on his season, the former lead replied, “I think the closest to that was when Faith played the guitar and sang to me on I think it was the first night she got the first impression rose. That would be the closest to it. … The whole love at first sight thing, I have never been in on that. And all of a sudden, here I am, I really feel like I’m experiencing that.”

Despite his strong feelings, Turner ultimately sent home Martin, 62, and proposed to Theresa Nist in the season 1 finale of The Golden Bachelor in 2023. Turner and Nist, 71, tied the knot the following year, but split months later. While reflecting on his relationship with Nist, Turner shared that he’s unsure whether “anything went wrong.”

“We’ve had conversations, and I think our mutual deep devotion to our families kind of reared its head in conversations, and we started trying to find that common ground, the commonality of where we could share a life and where we could share a home and so forth,” he explained. “Her being a brand new grandmother and me having gone through the loss of a spouse and feeling the support of my daughters, it almost created a situation where we recognized fairly quickly that we weren’t going to find that spot where we could be together. And I think more than anything that was it. And I really feel like there was a mutual admiration and respect and empathy in both ways that we kind of understood the other person’s situation.”

When asked whether he thinks he would still be with Nist today if they were from the same location, Turner replied, “That’s a difficult hypothetical question.”

“Based on what I know and based on the experiences that we had back then. If you eliminate that huge obstacle, I can see no red flags,” he said. “I still don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t have worked out. But we were also so new to the relationship that we may not have uncovered that layer of the onion that could have been a problem yet. So it’s hard to answer that, really.”

Turner, who revealed his diagnosis with an incurable cancer in December 2024, admitted that he “withdrew” from Nist.

“I felt like, maybe, I was a source of bad feelings and the negativity that came out of the show and so forth,” he said. “So I kind of avoided talking to her, and not out of you know, ill will or being combat of it all, just I thought it was better if we gave each other space. Maybe I was wrong with that and now I intend to go a different direction with it.”

Grey’s Anatomy’s Eric Dane Spotted for the 1st Time Since ALS Reveal

15 April 2025 at 12:00

Eric Dane made his first public outing since publicly revealing his ALS diagnosis.

Dane, 52, stepped out in Los Angeles in a cream cardigan, white T-shirt and beige pants, pairing the outfit with glasses and black loafers. Another pair of glasses hung from the collar of his shirt.

In one image, a pal was photographed beside Dane as they stood behind a car on a sidewalk.

Dane’s wife, Rebecca Gayheart, also posed for photos during an outing in Los Angeles on Monday, April 14. Gayheart rocked a casual white T-shirt that read, “Loving” in black text, paired with jeans and dark red mules. She smiled for photographers as she got out of the car.

Rebecca Gayheart Seen for 1st Time Since Eric Dane Revealed ALS Battle

Days before the appearances, the Grey’s Anatomy alum shared his surprising health update. “I have been diagnosed with ALS,” he said in a statement to People on Thursday, April 10. “I am grateful to have my loving family by my side as we navigate this next chapter.”

“I feel fortunate that I am able to continue working and am looking forward to returning to set of Euphoria next week,” the statement continued. “I kindly ask that you give my family and I privacy during this time.”

Hours before the announcement, Gayheart filed to dismiss her divorce from Dane. The pair, who share daughters Billie, 15, and Georgia, 13, had been separated for seven years. Gayheart previously filed for divorce in 2018, citing irreconcilable differences — but they never went through with their legal split.

“We are best of friends. We are really close. We are great coparents,” Gayheart said of Dane during an interview with E! News on Wednesday, April 9. “We really figured out the formula to staying a family and I think our kids are benefiting greatly from it and we are as well.”

She added, “I think it’s important to not look at a relationship that ends as a failure. It’s just a season. It wasn’t a failure. It was a huge success. We were married for, I mean, we are still married, but together for 15 years and we had two beautiful kids so I think that’s a successful relationship, and that’s how we look at it.”

While Gayheart has yet to speak out about her husband’s ALS diagnosis, she has subtly acknowledged his health struggle via social media. On Friday, April 11, Gayheart shared a message about “the real luxuries of life.” The post read, “Time, health, a quiet mind, slow mornings, ability to travel, rest without guilt, a good night’s sleep, calm and ‘boring’ days, meaningful conversations, home-cooked meals, people you love, people who love you back.”

Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick Twin in Black for ‘Another Simple Favor’

15 April 2025 at 11:45

UPDATE — 4/15/25, at 2:49 ET: Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick stepped out in all-black outfits for Another Simple Favor.

Lively donned a black blazer with a floor-length skirt, styling her hair in loose waves, while Kendrick wowed in a black lace dress with a cutout at the midline.

Original story:

Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick stepped out in London to promote their upcoming film, Another Simple Favor.

The pair posed for photos at the Corinthia Hotel, with Lively, 37, rocking a black Chanel cardigan with gold trim and a black skirt. She paired the look with dark tights, knee-high black boots and a gold Chanel bag, styling her hair in loose curls that were pulled back into a black ribbon.

Kendrick, for her part, stunned in a red vest with gold buttons and matching skirt from Rixo London. Kendrick, 39, wore her hair in loose curls and completed the outfit with gold Christian Louboutin heels, earrings by Gabriel & Co. as well as several rings by Retrouvai, EF Collection and Octavia Elizabeth.

The twosome threw their arms around director Paul Feig and costars Laura Fischer and Henry Golding as they smiled in front of the London Eye.

Lively and Kendrick’s promotion for Another Simple Favor, the sequel to 2018’s A Simple Favor, comes amid the Gossip Girl alum’s ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni. In 2024, Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, accusing him of sexual harassment and attempting to ruin her reputation. Baldoni denied all allegations and filed a $400 million defamation lawsuit against Lively, husband Ryan Reynolds and Leslie Sloane. Lively, Reynolds and Sloane have all filed motions to be removed. The legal battle is ongoing and scheduled to go to trial in 2026.

After teaming up with Lively again, Kendrick dodged multiple questions about collaborating with her. When asked on the red carpet of the March SXSW premiere what it was like to work with Lively again, Kendrick quipped to Entertainment Tonight, “Oh, you know.”

Lively, meanwhile, was asked a similar question about Kendrick and gushed over her costar. “Oh, it’s the best!” she said. “I’m so happy to be here.”

Kendrick was also asked by Variety about her thoughts on Another Simple Favor being “impacted” by what’s “going on in the world,” to which she deadpanned, “Why? What happened? I did ayahuasca and the last year of my life has been gone. But I hear the movie is amazing.”

Blake Lively Speaks in Public for 1st Time Amid Justin Baldoni Lawsuit

Despite rumors that Kendrick and Lively did not get along while working together on A Simple Favor, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that there “aren’t any issues” between them now. The insider noted that both Kendrick and Lively “really love” the sequel and noted that they were “disappointed to see all the hate online” after the movie’s poster was released. The source shared that Kendrick and Lively “want fans to focus on the film and not any outside drama.”

Another Simple Favor director Feig shut down rumors after a YouTuber claimed Kendrick and Lively were allegedly uncomfortable together attending the premiere of the film.

“I just reported on Blake being terrified to walk the carpet as Anna is pissed and never wants to work with her again,” a social media user claimed in March, to which Feig replied via X, “Um … you’re wrong.”

Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner Reveals He’s Dating Someone New

15 April 2025 at 11:22

Former Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner has found love again after his whirlwind marriage to Theresa Nist.

“I am dating someone,” Turner, 73, revealed on the Tuesday, April 15, episode of the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast. “I think at this point it’s going well. But I don’t want to say too much and jinx it and I’m trying to respectfully get to a point where there’s an acceptable amount of time from my divorce. Maybe that’s an old fashioned thought — maybe it doesn’t matter as much as I think it does, but to be respectful, I kind of want to slow roll this.”

While Turner remained tight-lipped about his new love’s name , he shared that she also has daughters. (Turner is the dad of two daughters whom he welcomed with late wife Toni.)

“I think the fun part there is she has daughters that I really relate to, and she relates well to my daughters,” he said. “So we’ve been around each other briefly. It’s been fun. It’s been a very enjoyable encounter.”

Turner — who revealed in December 2024 that he was diagnosed with an incurable cancer — praised his new girlfriend for her adventurous spirit.

“The person I’m dating will say, ‘Do you want to go do?’ And before she gets out the rest of the sentence I will say, ‘Yes,’” Turner said, adding that his new girlfriend’s life experiences have included “a lot of travel.”

Turner confirmed that he told Nist he’s dating someone new, so the news won’t come as a shock to her. Before telling Nist about his new girlfriend, Turner said he asked for advice from Golden Bachelor exes Joan Vassos and Leslie Fhima.

“I said, ‘To be respectful and to do the right thing, when should I talk to Theresa about this and let her know?’ And their advice was to talk to her soon,” he recalled. “So on the car ride from the hotel to the airport [After the Final Rose] the next day, I called Theresa. We had a really nice conversation, and, you know, I let her know.”

Bachelor Nation met Turner when he starred as the lead of the first-ever Golden Bachelor in 2023. Turner, who ended his season engaged to Nist, tied the knot with his winner in 2024. Months later, the pair revealed their split.

“I don’t think we were ever on bad terms, I think from my side of it, my perspective, I withdrew from her. I felt like maybe I was a source of bad feelings and the negativity that came out of the show and so forth,” he said of his relationship with Nist. “So I kind of avoided talking to her, and not out of you know, ill will or being combat of it all, just I thought it was better if we gave each other space. Will Arnett Reunites With Ex-Wife Amy Poehler on ‘Smartless’: Recap

15 April 2025 at 09:06

Amy Poehler shocked ex-husband Will Arnett when she appeared as a guest on his podcast, prompting a surprise reunion.

As fans of “Smartless” know, Arnett and cohosts Jason Bateman and Sean Hayes take turns picking their guests and leave the other two in the dark with their selection. For the Monday, April 21, episode, Hayes introduced Poehler by listing her credentials — which still came as a surprise to Arnett.

“No way!” Arnett said when Poehler was revealed as the guest. Poehler quipped, “Not a glimpse of recognition on Will’s face when [Sean] said all of those things.”

While Arnett wasn’t aware of Poehler’s appearance, the Parks and Recreation alum revealed that their youngest son had an idea. (Arnett and Poehler welcomed sons Archie and Abel in 2008 and 2010, respectively.)

“Our youngest saw my schedule on the kitchen table and said, ‘You’re doing ‘Smartless?’ Does Dad know?’ And I said, ‘No, don’t say anything,’” Poehler said, to which Arnett replied, “And also, Amy and I were texting last night about something else. Zero [clue].”

Poehler Jokes Cohosts Are Talking About How ‘Weird’ It Is She’s on Arnett’s Podcast

Arnett claimed that he had asked Poehler to be on “Smartless” in the past, including for their tour — which she declined.

“Well, I wanted to wait until you had done 250 episodes to see if this thing was real,” Poehler quipped. “I usually give something five years until I try it.”

The discourse surrounding Poehler’s appearance prompted Bateman to ask Hayes whether he had tried to “float” the idea of having her on the podcast by Arnett.

Before getting into the interview, Hayes briefed the audience — and his sister, Tracey — on Arnett and Poehler’s relationship.

“You guys were married and now you’re not and it’s been years and years and everything is going swimmingly,” Hayes explained, earning laughs from the group.

Bateman, for his part, jokingly asked Arnett and Poehler how they first met before quipping, “We’re going to get into it. When did it first start to fracture?”

Amy Poehler’s Ex-Husband Will Arnett Gives Her Podcast Support

Arnett Recalls Poehler’s Dad Name-Dropping Her to Strangers

While recalling a trip to visit Poehler’s Massachusetts hometown, Arnett noted that her dad would proudly tell strangers about the Saturday Night Live alum’s career.

“There’s this girl and she’s like, I don’t know, 17 working [at an ice cream store] as her afternoon, weekend job scooping ice cream. This is when Amy was first on SNL, you know, 25 years ago. He goes to the girl who’s kind of silent, ‘You like your job?’ She’s scooping ice cream and she’s like, ‘Yeah I guess so.’ He goes, ‘You know who really likes her job? My daughter,’” Arnett said. “It was so good. But he’s so proud.”

Poehler noted that her dad’s enthusiasm about her career hasn’t changed through the years.

“He will get on elevators with people and say, ‘Do you like TV and movies?’ That’s his question. Like, does anyone say no?” Poehler said, to which Arnett added, “We played golf with these guys years ago, Bill and I were playing with some random dudes. He gets back in the car and looks at me and goes, ‘Well, I told them.’”

Arnett Gushes Over Poehler’s Parenting Skills

Arnett had high praise for Poehler’s parenting skills, explaining he tries to emulate her strategy when it comes to raising their two sons.

“I have to try really hard — Amy you’re really good at this and you help me do this in concert with you — to remember to listen to what they’re saying and to not try to impose what I think, ‘You need this, you need that,” Arnett said. “To actually sit and listen to what your kid is trying to say. Encourage them to, as much as they can, to speak. I don’t come by it naturally because that’s not how I was raised.”

Amy Poehler and Will Arnett: The Way They Were

Arnett Recalls Seeing Poehler for 1st Time in 1996

While Arnett and Poehler began dating in 2000, the exes first crossed paths four years earlier when she was performing with an improv comedy group. As she recapped her past with the Upright Citizens Brigade, Poehler explained that she traveled to New York City with the group.

“Will, I don’t want this to be uncomfortable for you, but I was dating Matt Besser at the time,” Poehler said, to which Arnett quipped, “I knew it!”

Arnett explained that he went to see the group in the Big Apple at the encouragement of his agent — who was also Poehler’s first agent.

“Amy, I was dating Missy [Yager] at the time, I don’t know if I told you that,” Arnett quipped, as Poehler confirmed that she knew. “We watch the show. We’re blown away, we go for a drink after, we’re talking about it. We talk about it for a few days because nobody was doing what they were doing. And we were like, ‘God, that was so funny and it was so inventive and it was so cool.’ So that is January 1996.”

Arnett Asks Poehler Whether She’s Ever Listened to ‘Smartless’

As the interview came to a close, Arnett asked Poehler to answer his question with honesty.

“This is a tough one. This is hard-hitting, alright? And I know you’re very serious for a comedian. Her mom used to say that to her when they’d get into arguments,” Arnett said, prompting Poehler to laugh and add, “When we’d get into fights she’d say, ‘You’re so serious for a comedian.’”

Arnett proceeded to inquire whether Poehler had ever listened to the “Smartless” podcast, which she claimed she had. “That’s a little high,” Bateman joked of Poehler’s high-pitched response.

Arnett Gushes He’s ‘Very Proud’ of Coparenting Dynamic With Poehler

“I am really proud of it. Of course, things take a minute because everybody is sort of adjusting to what it is. I’m also very proud of, certainly as parents, what we’ve been able to do. What Justin Rose Told Rory McIlroy After 2025 Masters Win

14 April 2025 at 14:40

Despite losing the 2025 Masters, Justin Rose was thrilled for Rory McIlroy — and had kind words to share with the new winner.

“I just said, listen, this is a historic moment in golf, isn’t it, someone who achieves the career Grand Slam,” Rose, 44, told CBS on Sunday, April 13. “I just said it was pretty cool to be able to share that moment with him. Obviously, I wanted to be the bad guy today, but still, it’s a momentous occasion for the game of golf.”

Rose previously lost in sudden death to Sergio Garcia in 2017 and tied for second with Phil Mickelson two years before, where Jordan Spieth took home the award.

“But listen, to make the putt on 18, the one you dream about as a kid, to obviously give myself an opportunity and a chance was an unbelievable feeling,” Rose said. “Obviously, I’ve been in this position before, 2017. It’s definitely tough, but I bounced back pretty well from that, too. Went on to be World No. 1 after that, so I used it to my advantage.”

Rory McIlroy Shared Poignant Moment With Justin Rose’s Wife at Masters

He continued, “Last two majors I’ve played, I’ve come up in second place, but it’s exactly what I’m trying to do with my career at this stage, and it’s more evidence that I’m doing some really good work.”

Justin also shared his well-wishes for McIlroy via social media. “I gave it everything….,” Justin wrote via X at the time. “Congratulations @McIlroyRory on winning the @TheMasters and completing the Grand Slam.. very cool sharing the green with you in that moment… Thank you Team 🌹 as always for all the support during the week… We go again 👊🏻.”

After his victory on Sunday, McIlroy, 35, shared a 13-second embrace with Justin’s wife, Kate Rose. While hugging, Kate told McIlroy that she was “really happy” for his win. (Kate and Justin, who tied the knot in 2006, share son Leo, 16, and daughter Charlotte, 13.)

McIlroy gushed that Sunday was “the best day” of his golfing life. “This is my 17th time here, and I [had] started to wonder if it would ever be my time,” McIlroy told reporters. “What came out of me on the last green there in the playoff was at least 11 years, if not 14 years, of pent-up emotion. I got the job done.”

Before McIlroy’s win, Byrce DeChambeau shared that the Irish golfer was locked in on the game — and didn’t have time to talk.

“[He] didn’t talk to me once all day,’’ DeChambeau, 31, said on Sunday of McIlroy. When DeChambeau was asked whether he tried to “initiate conversation” with McIlroy, he replied per Golf.com, “He wouldn’t talk to me. … [McIlroy] was just like — just being focused, I guess. It’s not me, though.”

Justin, for his part, congratulated McIlroy via social media.

Melinda Gates Recalls Relationship That Led to Years of Body Image Issues

14 April 2025 at 12:14

Melinda Gates is reflecting on her relationship with her body after being involved in a toxic relationship in her younger years.

“I remember caring in high school, but I felt good about myself — I should say, good enough about myself. But then I had a boyfriend in college that was really not a positive relationship for me at all,” Gates, 60, said on the Monday, April 14, episode of The Jamie Kern Lima Show. “He cared a lot about how I looked and said a lot of things about it to me, and that really is not OK. It really is not.”

Gates shared that she took “too long” to stop the relationship and had “inculcated too many of those messages” by the time it came to an end.

“I would say that carried through with me into my 20s and even into my 30s,” she said. “And it wasn’t, probably, until I got to 40 that I got more OK with who I was.”

Bill Gates and Melinda Gates' Former Marriage in Their Own Words

Now, Gates shared that she wants to “fit” because she wants to “be able to do all the things” she wants.

“I want to be healthy, but I’m not so focused on, you know, am I X weight or Y weight or do I fit in that size pants or another?” Gates explained. “It’s still there in the back of my head a little bit, but it just isn’t a big call anymore. Boy, when you take that down, that perfectionism around weight and body image, you take that down, you have so much more mind space.”

Gates shared that she worked with “several different nutritionists” as well doing work in therapy.

“I also got to a point where I realized that I was role-modeling for my daughters,” she continued. “For them, it was really important that I work on this in myself so I didn’t put any of that on them and so when they had body issues, they could come to me and I could be honest with them. One of the things that I have always said to all three of my three kids is, ‘You can count on me to be honest with you.’”

Melinda Gates Reacts to Ex Bill Gates Referring to Divorce as a ‘Mistake’

Melinda shares daughters Jennifer, 28, and daughter Phoebe, 22, as well as son Rory, 25, with ex-husband Bill Gates. (The pair, who tied the knot in 1994, announced their plans to divorce in 2021.)

For Melinda, focusing on work has helped her change her mindset. “The other thing the data shows is that if women are working and doing meaningful work, they focus less on body image,” she said. “Which, again, how beautiful is it to be able to put that energy and that time into things that you care about doing for the world?”

Author Abby Jimenez Answers ‘Say You’ll Remember Me’ Burning Questions

14 April 2025 at 12:03

For author Abby Jimenez, Taylor Swift’s “Wildest Dreams” is the anthem for her new chart-topping book, Say You’ll Remember Me.

“Either that or ‘Come on Eileen,’” Jimenez exclusively told Us Weekly while promoting her partnership with Spotify Audiobooks. “That’s another close second just because of what’s in the book.”

Warning: This story contains spoilers about the plot and ending of Say You’ll Remember Me.

The contemporary romance novel — which hit shelves April 1 — follows the story of social media manager Samantha and veterinarian Xavier, who have one incredible date before she moves to California to care for her mom, who is suffering from dementia.

While Say You’ll Remember Me kicks off Jimenez’s new series, avid readers of the author know all of her characters exist in the same universe. In the book, readers meet two of Xavier’s friends, pharmacist Chris and personal trainer Mike, who will be the leading men in her next two novels.

“Sometimes I go into a book knowing exactly who’s going to be next and having a plan. For this series, I definitely knew what the plan was going to be. We’re getting Chris’ book next,” Jimenez said of the 2026 novel titled The Night We Met. “The book after that will be Mike’s book. So I knew pretty far in advance that’s what we were going to be getting. Sometimes, though, I don’t know who the next book is going to be about until I’m halfway through the one I’m writing and a character speaks to me.”

While readers can get their hands on a physical copy of Say You’ll Remember Me, Jimenez has also partnered with Spotify Audiobooks to allow fans flexibility for on-the-go listening.

“You can exercise, you can go to the grocery store, you can cook. You can lay in bed with your earbud in your ear and all the lights off and just listen to your book while you go to sleep,” she said of methods for consuming an audiobook. “There’s so many ways that you can enjoy reading through audiobooks that you can’t with the physical book in your hands.”

Say Youll Remember Me Burning Questions Answered By Author Abby Jimenez
Matt Winkelmeyer/Getty Images for The Recording Academy

Us Weekly: Was it intentional or coincidental that the title is a lyric of Taylor Swift’s?

Abby Jimenez: I really wanted the word “remember” to be in a title, and my publisher and I had a lot of discussion about putting the word “remember” in the title. It has sort of a negative, kind of sad connotation. And I said, “You know what? I bet if we call it Say You’ll Remember Me, no one’s going to think that this is not a rom-com. No one’s going to think this is a sad book.” And so we decided to go with that name, and now that song has sort of become the anthem for the book.

Us Weekly: The Dart is a major plot point in the book. Can you tell Us a little bit about your history with the car and why you chose to incorporate the Dart into this book rather than a past one?

Abby Jimenez: I drove a 1966 Dodge Dart convertible when I was 16. I drove it for two years. When I decided to place this book in Southern California, it just really brought back a lot of memories for me of growing up in Southern California. I thought, “I should write some of my own memories into the books.” Obviously, it’s easier than making things up. So I did. I wrote my car into the book. Everything that happens to Samantha in that car happened to me in mine. I actually ended up buying my 1966 Dodge Dart convertible back with the money that I got from my book deal. Got my own memories back.

Us Weekly: Was it always the plan for Samantha’s grandmother to die?

Abby Jimenez: I always knew that I was going to have that happen in the book. Part of me felt like maybe it was, in a way, mercy for the mother who shouldn’t have to watch her own daughter pass before she does. I knew I wanted to tackle issues that were difficult and hard. This is as much a book about family and working things out with your family and caring for a loved one as it is a romance. I knew I was going to do that, and I always joke and say, “The dogs in my book are always safe, but the people, maybe not.”

Emily Henry Didn't Know How Readers Would Feel About Funny Story's Miles

Us Weekly: At the end of the book, we see Samantha and Xavier get married and end up in California. Do you think that they’re still together today?

Abby Jimenez: When I’m done writing a book, if I can’t look back and look at these characters and say, “I know these two are together 20 years from now,” then I don’t think I’ve done my job. So absolutely, I can definitely see them together in the long run. I think they were perfect for each other right out of the gate.

Us Weekly: I think they saw that too. Is he one of your favorite book boyfriends that you’ve written so far, or do you have a different one that has a soft spot in your heart?

Abby Jimenez: I always love Jacob [from 2023’s Yours Truly], just because I feel like I just wish he was real so I could protect him in real life. He’s just such a sweet, good, kind human being. But Xavier Rush is definitely on par with Jacob, in my opinion. I really loved writing him. His steadiness and his reliability and just who he is as a man, I just, I love him so much.

Us Weekly: What do you think are the best qualities in a book boyfriend?

Abby Jimenez: For me, the best quality in a book boyfriend is emotional intelligence. I think that’s the most attractive thing of all.

Us Weekly: Are there any tropes that you enjoy writing more than others, or is it fun for you to switch it up?

Abby Jimenez: I always like to switch up tropes in my book. I don’t ever want to get bored as a writer the same way I don’t want my readers to get bored reading the same thing again and again. I really enjoyed giving people Xavier. I think it was a fun difference from my previous books and the previous heroes that I’ve written. He’s so reserved, he’s so reliable, I think that Samantha very much needed that. It was fun for me. Will I continue with the same tropes that I typically do in terms of friends to lovers? Probably. I really like friends to lovers. I feel like it’s the most natural progression in a love story for them to start as friends and then we get to see the evolution. So I’ll probably continue to lean heavily on that trope, but all other tropes are up in the air at all times.

Us Weekly: I know a lot of people would love to see any of your books get movie or TV treatment. If you were to cast the roles of Samantha and Xavier, who would you choose?

Abby Jimenez: Oh, gosh, I’m always so hesitant to name people because I want my readers to be able to envision in their head who these characters are for themselves. I will say that if I ever get the opportunity to make one of my books into a movie, I’m going to really do my hardest as an author to make sure that the readers are happy with the movie that they get.

Us Weekly: You utilize a lot of pop culture references, which is really fun and puts a time stamp on the book. What do you see as the value of that in your writing?

Abby Jimenez: Well, I’m writing a contemporary romance. I think just like you said, it’s a time stamp. I feel like when I read books from 10 years ago, it’s almost fun to revisit that period in time. It’s a contemporary romance. It should reflect what’s happening now. Samantha’s a social media manager, so of course, she’s going to be very online, and she’s going to be very living in the now. I actually really like that when I read books.

'Mercury' Author Amy Jo Burns Reveals 3 Plot Points She Nearly Changed

Us Weekly: After you release a book, do you pay attention to any of the reviews? Do you try to take in reader feedback?

Abby Jimenez: I try not to because once the book is out to the readers, it belongs to them. I feel like it doesn’t belong to me anymore. Now it’s in their hands and it belongs to the people that are enjoying it. I don’t think it’s like a good place mentally for authors to check out reviews or check out things like that, but I do get tagged in a lot of really fun stuff. If it comes from a trusted source, I will definitely look at it. It’s been really nice to see the love that this book is getting.

Us Weekly: Is there anything you can tease about the plot of The Night We Met?

Abby Jimenez: I will say this was a very difficult book to write. It took me about two years to write. It is a very nuanced plot, and I’m very excited to see what readers think of it. It might be a little bit different from what I’ve given readers before.

Us Weekly: What about Mike’s book?

Abby Jimenez: I’m five chapters into Mike’s book right now. I’m absolutely loving it. We are going to have sort of an enemies to lovers plot for that one. And the Toilet King is back in a big way in that book. So we’re going all the way back to the Toilet King from Just for the Summer.

Us Weekly: You’ve typically done three books in a series. Are you considering adding more this time?

Abby Jimenez: I’ll continue with a friend group or the characters until I feel like I’m ready to move on. I don’t necessarily stick to threes on purpose. It just kind of ends up that way. If there’s a character that surfaces as I’m working on the next two books that I really love, then maybe we’ll get a fourth book in this particular series. It just depends.

Alexa PenaVega Shares Photo With Stillborn Baby 1 Year Later

14 April 2025 at 11:21

Alexa PenaVega is reflecting on the death of her and husband Carlos PenaVega’s stillborn daughter one year later.

“This was the most painful moment I have ever experienced. I remember it feeling so hard to breathe. Such a deep aching pain… How was this real? It didn’t feel real. Every emotion flooded in at once,” Alexa, 36, wrote via Instagram on Sunday, April 13. “And yet, despite devastating loss, we felt so held… so covered… a super natural peace. It was all out of our control. We had to give it all over to God. The burden was too heavy for us to carry so He took the weight off of us and draped us in His peace.”

Alexa also shared an emotional image of her cradling the infant in her arms while in the hospital. A box of tissues were positioned on the chair with Alexa as she gazed at their baby, who the couple named Indy.

“Over this last year we have watched LIFE come out of her life. We watched people heal because of Indy. We watched grief lifted because of Indy,” she continued. “We watched relationships be restored… God gave her life SO MUCH FRUIT … so much meaning and purpose. Our sweet girl is celebrating with Jesus today. And While we still mourn and wish we had her in our arms… we know she is waiting for us in a place that is beyond anything we can imagine. Jeremiah 29:11.”

Alexa and Carlos, 35 — who tied the knot in 2014 — also honored Indy with a black-and-white photo of their three children holding up an image of their late sibling. (The pair are parents to sons Ocean, Kingston and daughter Rio, whom they welcomed in 2016, 2019 and 2021, respectively.)

“Happy heavenly birthday Indy girl. 🤍,” Alexa and Carlos captioned their Sunday Instagram post. “Our little world changer. Psalm 34:18.”

Nearly one year after the stillbirth, Alexa and Carlos reflected on their baby’s death in a January interview with Stream Studios. Alexa shared that the “peace” they felt after losing Indy “really doesn’t make sense” since the experience was “so painful.”

“It’s still painful. And what I’m about to say is going to sound crazy, but we felt so blessed through it. Her life has had so much fruit in just moments of being with her,” Alexa said. “After we lost her, I was concerned that in time I wouldn’t be OK. That even though I’m OK right now — and Lord you’re sustaining me, everything is good — but what’s going to happen a couple weeks from now? What’s going to happen a month from now?”

Alexa PenaVega Had an Encounter With God After Delivering Stillborn Baby

Alexa claimed that she went through a “really deep” and “intense” therapy and had an encounter with God as she healed.

“Through one of those experiences, you’re supposed to explain what you see. And I closed my eyes and the Lord gave me this insane vision,” she said. “I was laying in the bed and Indy was next to me and they were trying to resuscitate her. The room was filled with angels around every single person in the room.”

She continued, “But Indy was in God’s arms. But she was alive in his arms. Even though she was no longer living next to me, she was alive in his arms. But God was weeping. All the angels were weeping. They weren’t like, ‘It’s OK, we have her, she’s safe.’ They were weeping for us.”

Alexa noted that the experience altered her perspective on God. “When we weep, he weeps because he’s heartbroken for his children,” she said. “Even though he knew that she was fully alive with him and great and happy. He wept for us.”

Rory McIlroy ‘Wouldn’t Talk’ to Bryson DeChambeau in Masters Final Round

14 April 2025 at 10:26

Rory McIlroy had his eye on the prize at the 2025 Masters — and as a result didn’t have time to talk with Bryson DeChambeau.

“[He] didn’t talk to me once all day,’’ DeChambeau, 31, said on Sunday, April 13, of McIlroy.

When asked if he tried to “initiate conversation” with McIlroy, 35, DeChambeau replied per Golf.com, “He wouldn’t talk to me. … [McIlroy] was just like — just being focused, I guess. It’s not me, though.”

DeChambeau said he “wanted to cry” for McIlroy after the Irish golfer hit his third shot into Rae’s Creek on the iconic green in Augusta, Georgia.

Rory McIlroy Shared Poignant Moment With Justin Rose’s Wife at Masters

“As a professional, you just know to hit it in the middle of the green, and I can’t believe he went for it, or must have just flared it,’’ he said, per The New York Post. “I’ve hit bad shots in my career, too, and it happens. When you’re trying to win a major championship, especially out here, Sunday of Augusta, the Masters, you have to just do it and get the job done and do it right. “There were times where it looked like he had full control and at times where it’s like, ‘What’s going on?’”

McIlroy was ultimately victorious, winning the Masters on Sunday after a sudden-death playoff against Justin Rose. While walking off the green, McIlroy gave Justin’s wife, Kate Rose, a hug that lasted 13 seconds. As they embraced, Kate could be heard telling McIlroy she was “really happy” for him following his win. (Kate and Justin, 44 — who tied the knot in 2006 —share son Leo, 16, and daughter Charlotte, 13.)

McIlroy went on to celebrate his win with wife Erica Stoll and their 4-year-old daughter, Poppy. (McIlroy and Stoll, 37, exchanged vows in 2017. News broke in May 2024 that McIlroy filed for divorce from Stoll after seven years of marriage. According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, McIlroy called their marriage “irretrievably broken.” One month later, McIlroy dismissed the filing.)

Rory McIlroy Wins Masters After Dramatic Sudden-Death Playoff

After taking home his first Masters title on Sunday, McIlroy gushed that it was “the best day” of his golfing life.

“This is my 17th time here, and I [had] started to wonder if it would ever be my time,” McIlroy told reporters. “What came out of me on the last green there in the playoff was at least 11 years, if not 14 years, of pent-up emotion. I got the job done.”

Sami Sheen Can’t Recall 1 Childhood Memory With Dad Charlie Sheen Sober

14 April 2025 at 09:30

Sami Sheen is reflecting on her rocky relationship with dad Charlie Sheen.

“My whole childhood, I want to say like the first 13 years, my dad was very in and out of my life,” Sami, 21, said on the Monday, April 14, episode of Gia Giudice’s “Casual Chaos” podcast. “It was the worst if we had an event and he said he was going to show up and then we wouldn’t hear from him or he would show up, like, 10 hours late. So we kind of just stopped asking him to come to stuff.”

Sami alleged that if Charlie, 59, showed up and they were “lucky enough to see him,” he was “most likely under the influence of something.”

“It’s sad but I make humor out of it,” she said. “I literally cannot tell you one memory from my childhood of him where he’s been sober. Which is kind of sad, but whatever, it’s his choice.”

Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards’ Daughter Sami Sheen Through the Years

Sami is the eldest daughter of Charlie and Denise Richards, who were married from 2002 to 2006. The exes are also parents to daughter Lola, 19. (Richards, 54, adopted Eloise, 13, in 2011.)

When asked whether her parents’ split was a “difficult time,” Sami claimed that she doesn’t “remember.”

“My mom hid so much stuff from me. Like there was one year, I was, like, asking where my dad was on Christmas. My mom told us he was skiing, but he was actually in jail,” Sami claimed. “I don’t know if he actually went to jail or if he was on his way to jail. Something with him in jail, but I thought he was skiing. And I was like, ‘That’s weird. My dad doesn’t even know how to ski.’ But I was so young. So I really don’t have that many memories of stuff when I was younger. And I think my mom did a really good job of, kind of, hiding stuff.”

Sami alleged that she doesn’t “know the whole story” but claimed her dad was not in jail for “long at all.” (Charlie was arrested in Colorado in December 2009 on second-degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief in an alleged dispute with then-wife Brooke Mueller, USA Today reported. The next year, Charlie pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge and was ordered to spend 30 days in rehab as part of the plea deal. The two other charges were dropped. He was also ordered to three months probation and 36 hours of domestic violence counseling.)

Inside Denise Richards, Charlie Sheen's Relationships With Their Daughters

Sami claimed that the parents of her friends would sometimes not allow them into her family home because of Charlie.

“That was pretty hard,” she said. “But it was honestly, it was all I knew. It would have been a lot harder if I went from having a perfect family and then all of a sudden he’s a crazy drug addict and we don’t get to see him. So it kind of helps that it’s all I know, but it still sucks.”

Aside from her friends, Sami alleged that Charlie’s actions affected her admission into certain high schools.

“No high school would accept me because of, like, stuff my dad has posted in the past about like previous schools that I went to. So that was one thing where I still hold a grudge,” Sami said. “I mean, everything happens for a reason, but yeah, that one was really difficult, like, how it affected even the schools I was able to go to.”

Inside Denise Richards’ Ups and Downs With Daughter Sami Sheen

She continued, “I was just like, ‘Why are they not accepting my applications? Like I have straight A’s, I’m a great student.’ I remember my mom had to write a letter on his behalf and, like, try everything she could to get us into these schools, but I had no idea until later on. I’m like, ‘So that’s why I did not get in.’ And, like, it honestly is really nice hearing that it wasn’t my fault that I didn’t get in.”

Richards, for her part, weighed in on her girls’ relationship with their father during an exclusive interview with Us Weekly in March.

“It’s been [complicated] from day one and both girls are finding their path in the relationship and that’s OK,” Richards shared before the premiere of Denise Richards and Her Wild Things. “Things can be up and down, but you can always get through it.”

Rory McIlroy's Ex Fiancee Caroline Wozniacki Was at the Masters

14 April 2025 at 08:10

Rory McIlroy’s ex-fiancée, Caroline Wozniacki, stepped out to attend the 2025 Masters — and weighed in on the special occasion.

“As an athlete, I think there’s some places that are so iconic that are on the bucket list, and this and Wimbledon are so special. There’s so much tradition here. When you arrive at the premises, there’s just something about not having your phone, really being in the moment. You see everything,” Wozniacki, 34, told ESPN in a Friday, April 11, interview, per The Mirror. “It’s just so beautiful, and to be able to be here with my husband and enjoying it, just the two of us, no kids, no distractions, it’s really, really nice.”

The tennis player pointed out that there’s “so much pressure” at the Masters, noting that “it’s the small margins.”

“These greens are so difficult, so if you don’t hit it at the perfect spot, you go from being in a position for maybe going for a birdie to being lucky getting a bogey,” she said. “Watching someone who is so good at their craft I think has always been very inspiring, whether it’s tennis, golf, at work, whatever it is. As a spectator, it’s always fun to see when the best in the world are struggling, and that’s what you get here.”

Caroline Wozniacki's Inner Circle Feels Rory McIlroy's Divorce Is 'Karma'

The next day, Wozniacki shared a series of images from her time at the Masters — including a selfie with tennis legend Roger Federer. “Had a great couple of days at @themasters!” she captioned her Saturday, April 12, Instagram post. “Thank you @rolex for your amazing hospitality!”

McIlroy, 35, went on to win the Masters on Sunday, April 13, following a sudden-death playoff against Justin Rose. McIlroy celebrated by embracing his wife, Erica Stoll, and their 4-year-old daughter, Poppy, on the green.

Years before his victory, McIlroy was linked to Wozniacki, whom he began dating in 2011. The pair got engaged on New Year’s Eve in 2013. Months later, he called off the engagement via a phone call.

“The problem is mine,” McIlroy said in a May 2014 statement. “The wedding invitations issued at the weekend made me realize that I wasn’t ready for all that marriage entails. I wish Caroline all the happiness she deserves and thank her for the great times we’ve had.”

Rory McIlroy and Caroline Wozniacki’s Relationship Timeline

While in a relationship with Wozniacki, McIlroy met PGA transport official Stoll, now 37 — who famously helped him get to the Ryder Cup in 2012 after he overslept. Following his split from Wozniacki, McIlroy began dating Stoll. The couple tied the knot in 2017.

Us Weekly confirmed in May 2024 that McIlroy filed for divorce from Stoll after seven years of marriage. Per court documents obtained by Us, McIlroy called their marriage “irretrievably broken.” McIlroy dismissed the filing one month later.

Wozniacki, for her part, wed former NBA player David Lee in 2019. The athletes are parents to daughter Olivia and son James, whom they welcomed in June 2021 and October 2022, respectively. Wozniacki and Lee shared earlier this month that they are expecting their third child.

“Officially switching to zone defense!” the couple wrote in a joint Instagram post. “Our family couldn’t be more excited to welcome baby #3 soon! 👶🏼 .”

LeBron James' Son Bronny James Makes 1st Career Lakers Start

13 April 2025 at 16:44

LeBron James’ son Bronny James took the court in his first career start for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Ahead of the Lakers game against the Portland Trail Blazers, The Athletic’s Jovan Buha reported via X on Sunday, April 13, that the starters were Bronny, 20, Shake Milton, Dalton Knecht, Markieff Morris and Alex Len.

The Lakers, who are playoff bound, played without LeBron, 40, and Luka Dončić, who were both suffering from injuries with a strain to the left groin and soreness in the left quad, respectively.

The Trail Blazers ultimately beat the Lakers 109 to 81. (The L.A. team had previously won the last six meetings against Portland.)

Bronny James Says He Had 'Butterflies' Ahead of NBA Summer League Debut

Before landing a spot with the Lakers, Bronny played basketball at the University of Southern California. While at the school, his career was briefly paused when he collapsed and suffered a cardiac arrest in a July 2023 practice session. Bronny ultimately underwent surgery to correct an “anatomically and functionally significant congenital heart defect,” which caused the cardiac arrest according to the family’s statement.

Bronny was drafted by the Lakers with the 55th pick in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft. The move made LeBron and Bronny the first-ever father-son duo to play in the league at the same time — and for the same team.

Days after being selected, Bronny shared during a team press conference that he was “just trying to take it all in.”

“Extremely grateful for everything that JJ [Redick] and Rob [Pelinka] have given to me and I’ve just been extremely excited to get to work,” Bronny said in July 2024, referring to the coach and general manager, respectively. “It’s for sure amplified the amount of pressure. I’ve already seen it in media and on the internet and stuff talking about [how] I might not deserve an opportunity. But I’ve been dealing with stuff like this for my whole life. It’s nothing different. It’s more amplified for sure, but I can get through it.”

Bronny James Drafted by Los Angeles Lakers, Makes History With Dad LeBron

Bronny made his NBA debut in July 2024 as the Lakers faced off against the Sacramento Kings. In a post-game interview, Bronny opened up about his feelings ahead of the matchup.

“Every first game that I step in the next level, it’s always some butterflies in my stomach,” Bronny said, per a clip shared by Bleacher Report at the time. “But as soon as the ball tips and we go a couple times down, then it all goes away and I [am] just playing basketball. So, you know, it’s always going to be there, but [I] get through it.”

Bronny is LeBron and wife Savannah James’ eldest son. The couple, who tied the knot in September 2013, are also parents to son Bryce, 17, and daughter Zhuri, 10.

Kryen Lacy’s Attorney Speaks Out After NFL Hopeful’s Death at Age 24

13 April 2025 at 15:26

Kyren Lacy’s lawyer broke his silence following the NFL hopeful’s death at age 24.

“Kyren’s was scheduled to have his matter heard before a grand jury tomorrow wherein we were very confident the evidence, after being fully collected and reviewed, would lead to a declination of charges,” the lawyer said in a statement to local Louisiana outlet WAFB 9 on Sunday, April 13.

The statement continued, “From the very beginning, this so-called investigation took on the appearance of an overzealous, targeted effort — what can only be described as a witch hunt — fueled by who Kyren was and the public profile he carried. The decision by the investigating agency to charge him at all, in our view, was not only unjustified, it was disturbing. It’s imperative to understand the Lafourche Parish District Attorney, to this day, has not formally charged Kyren.”

The statement noted that the former Louisiana State University wide receiver was a “young man with immense promise, and he was crushed under the weight of an irresponsible and prejudiced process.”

Kyren Lacy Died Before Grand Jury Hearing for Hit-and-Run: What to Know

“The negative barrage on social media, the circulation of his mugshot by nearly every news outlet rather than a standard photo, the recent civil lawsuit filed against him that named another defendant who mysteriously wasn’t charged with a crime, only him, and the overall tone of coverage painted a deeply biased picture before he ever had the chance to defend himself,” the statement read. “There was never a presumption of innocence which was exemplified by the NFL pulling his draft card over mere accusations without affording him the slightest chance to defend himself. The pressure and perception likely became unbearable.”

The statement continued, “Let us be absolutely clear: This is far from over. We will be demanding a full and transparent review of how this investigation was conducted and why. Those responsible for this gross miscarriage of justice must and will be held accountable. In the meantime, we again urge everyone to respect the Lacy family’s privacy and allow them the dignity to mourn the loss of their beloved son.”

2025 NFL Draft Prospect Kyren Lacy Dead at 24

Lacy’s relatives confirmed his death to WAFB 9 on Sunday. Details regarding his death — including an official cause — have yet to be confirmed. Us Weekly reached out for comment.

Months before Lacy’s death, he was arrested and charged with negligent homicide, felony hit-and-run and reckless driving in December 2024. At the time, authorities believed that Lacy may have caused the accident before fleeing the scene. Lacy, who had maintained his innocence up until his death, was released on a $151,000 bond. A grand jury was set to begin arguments over his alleged involvement in the accident on Monday, April 14 — one day after his death was announced.

Kaitlyn Bristowe Reacts to 'Wait Til You Have Kids' Remark: 'Birthed' Dogs

13 April 2025 at 14:11

Kaitlyn Bristowe is weighing in on her bond with her fur babies.

“The most pure form of love. For me. Personally. I haaaate when people say ‘wait til you have kids.’ IM 39 SUSAN,” Bristowe, 39, wrote via her Instagram on Saturday, April 12. “I have dogs. And I birthed them. Period. It’s late. Goodnight.”

Bristowe, who set the upload to Sneha’s “So This Is Love,” shared several black-and-white videos featuring the reality TV star snuggling her dogs.

“I didn’t know the cure for anxiety was also the main reason for anxiety,” Bristowe wrote in her comments section. “I cannot live without them.”

The former Bachelorette previously shared golden retrievers Pinot and Ramen with ex-fiancé Jason Tartick, who she dated for four years before announcing their split in August 2023. While the former couple attempted to facilitate a split custody arrangement with the dogs, Bristowe shared that they were advised against it when the pooches began playing dead to avoid switching homes.

“I’m doing what’s best for the dogs,” Bristowe explained in a September 2024 episode of her “Off the Vine” podcast. “[Jason] is more than welcome to see them if he is in town for the weekend or wants to take them for a walk. I would never keep them from anyone.”

Tartick, for his part, adopted Teddy in March. “When I met him, I instantly fell in love and there was no turning back at that point,” he exclusively told Us Weekly of the puppy. “I’m obsessed with him.”

After Tartick debuted the dog’s name, Bristowe alleged during a tell-all episode of her “Off the Vine” podcast earlier this month that he stole her “dream baby name.”

Why Kaitlyn Bristowe Is No Longer Sharing Dog Custody With Ex Jason Tartick

“It’s not that I’m not over him. I’m very much over him. I ended the relationship. I did not want to be in that. It felt icky to me. It felt like everything was for Instagram and numbers. I did not want to be in it. But to get a dog name that dog my dream baby name that I’ve had in my baby names for 10 years,” Bristowe claimed. “I said, the day I met him, ‘I want to name my baby Teddy.’”

She continued, “I know I seem very angry, but it’s more like, I don’t like feeling disrespected. I just have so many gross feelings from that because for so long I was made to feel crazy, and now I’m like, ‘Oh, I’m not crazy.’ I just saw what other people are seeing now. It’s just not aligned. What I want out of life is not what he wants, and two people shouldn’t be together like that. I’m not fully angry. I’m just really grossed out and disappointed.”

Days after her claims, Bristowe took to her “Off the Vine” podcast Facebook group to share that she stands by her comments.

“Yes Teddy is a common dog name. Yes he can name his dog whatever he wants,” Bristowe said in the post. “AND it’s f***ed up that he knew it was my dream baby name. We talked about it for years. Yes I have major things to work on in relationships AND I’ve already done so much work, I have seen tremendous growth in myself. I’m so proud of who I am today. My timeline of processing and being who I am doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s standard for a timeline.”

White Lotus' Aimee Lou Wood Calls 'SNL' Parody 'Mean and Unfunny'

13 April 2025 at 12:45

Aimee Lou Wood was not a fan of Saturday Night Live’s portrayal of The White Lotus — or her beloved character, Chelsea.

“I did find the SNL thing mean and unfunny xo,” Wood, 31, wrote via her Instagram Story on Sunday, April 13, adding in another slide, “Such a shame cuz I had such a great time watching it a couple weeks ago. Yes, take the piss for sure — that’s what the show is about — but there must be a cleverer, more nuanced, less cheap way?”

In the NBC variety show’s Saturday, April 12, “White Potus” sketch, several SNL members — including host Jon Hamm and guest star Scarlett Johansson — teamed up to portray different season 3 White Lotus characters with a political spin.

Hamm channeled Walton Goggins’ Rick as he played Robert F. Kennedy Jr., while Sarah Sherman portrayed Wood’s Chelsea with a set of fake teeth.

“I’ve been having these insane ideas, like what if we took all the fluoride out of the drinking water? What would that do to people’s teeth?” Hamm asked Sherman in the sketch, who replied with wide eyes, “Fluoride? What’s that?”

(Health and Human Services Secretary Kennedy has called for the end of community water fluoridation, per CBS News. The news org notes that Fluoride has been incorporated into public water supplies for decades in order to help prevent tooth decay.)

After Wood shared her thoughts on the sketch, she took to her Instagram Story to share that others were in agreement.

“On a positive note, everyone is agreeing with me about it, so I’m glad I said something instead of going in on myself,” Wood wrote, while sharing messages from fans about the skit.

In one DM, a fan pointed out that “everyone else in that parody was a political figure who was being mocked. The only character who wasn’t political was Chelsea, and they were clearly just taking the piss out of your appearance.” Wood shared a screenshot of the note and wrote, “Correct.”

While another user said Sherman’s “Mancunian accent she was attempting” was “terrible,” Wood added with a crying laughing emoji, “At least get the accent right, seriously. I respect accuracy even if it’s mean.”

Hours later, Wood shared an update after airing her grievances with SNL. “I’ve had apologies from SNL,” she wrote via her Instagram Story, remaining tight-lipped on who she had been in contact with or what was said.

Wood’s comments on SNL comes as The White Lotus star made headlines for feud rumors with costar Goggins. The speculation began when costar Jason Isaacs made a comment to The Guardian about “alliances that formed and broke, romances that formed and broke, friendships that formed and broke.”

Eagle-eyed fans began wondering whether Isaacs was referring to Wood and Goggins — who had an onscreen romance on the show — after Deuxmoi shared a blind item about costars who had an affair. The speculation continued to spark as Goggins and Wood stopped following each other online.

Neither Goggins nor Wood has weighed in on the rumors. Goggins has spoken about having his wife, Nadia Conners, and their son in Thailand while filming. Isaacs, for his part, walked back his statements.

“All these amateur Sherlock Holmes out there, they’re extrapolating, ‘Well, one person posted this.’ And nobody has the slightest clue what they’re talking about. People who think they’re onto something, and then it gets magnified because of a thousand other people. Nobody has any clue what I’m talking about,” he shared on SiriusXM’s TODAY Show Radio series The Happy Hour earlier this month. “I’m talking about people you’ve never met before half the time, in different departments and the people in the hair and costume and in the accounts department and stuff.”

He concluded: “First of all, it’s none of your business. I’m just saying it wasn’t a holiday. Partly I started saying that is because people think we were on a seven-month holiday and believe me, it felt like work a lot of the time. It was insanely hot and there’s all the normal social tensions you get anywhere, but for all of you thinking you’ve cracked it by something you think someone has posted or is in a photo or not, you’re just so far from the truth, believe me.”

In the sneak peak, Tammy snuck out of the house and got in her car — as brother Chris Combs wondered where she went.

“I think I want to approach this relationship different than I have in the past, so I haven’t told my family because my family’s gonna have something to say about it,” she said. “You know, I think my family probably has more opinions than the world has assholes because they be farting so much.”

Tammy shared that this is her first relationship since her husband’s death, noting that the person she is dating is a woman.

Tammy previously clarified her sexuality in a January 2024 TikTok video while responding to a user wondering whether she is a member of the LGBTQIA+ community.

“I’m a supporter of everybody,” Tammy said. “Well, I was saying I was pansexual but I kinda stopped messing with guys after my husband passed. So, I’m, like, a lesbian. Love is love. Everybody deserves love whether they’re gay, straight, trans, pan, bi, nonbinary [or] whatever. I’m just a lover.”
