Nearly one week before the Oscars, news broke on February 22 that Jenner’s longtime hairstylist, Guerrero, died in Los Angeles. While a cause of death has not been ruled, a source told Us Weekly that he had been sick days earlier while traveling with client Jennifer Lopez in Dubai.

“Everyone on his team did everything they could to get him to the doctors because he was not well,” Guerrero’s sister, Gris, exclusively told Us late last month. “They told him he was not going to work, he should see a doctor and rest. And he wanted to come home.”

Gris added, “We have his paperwork from the hospital [in Dubai] and it was a very long flight and a lot in between and going on [to] the hospital [in the United States]. That’s part of why we are looking into his health more with what happened. As soon as he showed up [in Dubai], he was told you don’t look well, to sit down and rest. And if he didn’t get well, to go back to the hospital.”

A second insider further told Us that Guerrero’s passing was particularly difficult for Jenner, who offered to pay for funeral expenses.

“Jesus was more than my friend — he was a light in my life, a source of laughter, comfort, love, and unwavering support,” Jenner wrote, in part, via Instagram. “I don’t know how I would have made it through the last almost decade without him by my side. He had a way of making even the heaviest days feel lighter. Thank you, Jesus, for always being there for me, for lifting me up, for being my friend. The pain of losing you is just unbearable.”

Later in his monologue, O’Brien laid down some ground rules to keep winners’ speeches to a reasonable amount of time. He decided that sharing the stars’ first acting headshots, which were often embarrassing, could do the trick.

“And it means you, Timothée Chalamet,” O’Brien added, sharing a sonogram picture. “I did that to them, and so, it’s only fair to do it to myself.”

O’Brien then shared his own childhood photo, while Chalamet and Jenner both exchanged a chuckle.

The A Complete Unknown star and Jenner have been together since spring 2023, and throughout the 2025 awards season, the Kardashians personality often joined her man in the crowds. Later in O’Brien’s monologue, he tried to humble all of the nominees by sharing their first-ever acting headshots.

“And it means you, Timothée Chalamet,” O’Brien added before showing a sonogram picture, joking about Chalamet’s youth. “I did that to them, and so, it’s only fair to do it to myself.”

The monologue, which ended with a surprise musical number, also featured a cameo from a casually dressed Adam Sandler.

“Adam, what are you wearing?” O’Brien asked, referring to Sandler’s signature hoodie and sweatpants. “You’re dressed like a guy playing video game poker at 2 a.m., Adam.”

Sandler, meanwhile, stressed that he “liked the way” he dressed because he’s a “good person.”

Before Sandler left the Dolby Theatre over O’Brien’s mocking, he shouted, “One more thing — Chalamet!” and ran over to greet Chalamet with a hug. (Sandler, 58, jokingly mispronounced Chalamet’s last name during the Golden Globes in January.)

Sunday is O’Brien’s first time emceeing the Oscars.

O’Brien, an Emmy-winning late-night host, previously teased how he was preparing to emcee the awards show.

“We’re gonna have a great show [and] a great show,” O’Brien said on the Wednesday, February 26, episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! before joking, “Things for me, you know, come together very late. I started working on the Oscars about four hours ago. I’m gonna pull an all-nighter. I think we have some fun ideas or some great surprises.”

According to O’Brien, he “owed” Kimmel, 57, gratitude for his advice. (Kimmel hosted the Oscars broadcast in 2017, 2018, 2023 and 2024.)

“One of the first calls I got after agreeing to host the Oscars was from Jimmy Kimmel,” O’Brien said earlier this month. “I didn’t pick up because I have caller ID, but then I thought about it and I called you back.”

Kimmel subsequently invited O’Brien to meet up to trade Oscars wisdom.

“You and Molly [McNearney, Kimmel’s wife] could not have been more gracious,” O’Brien gushed. “They gave me all these great tips.”

As part of O’Brien’s prep, he made sure to “watch a lot of movies” that scored nominations after coming to the realization of why he wanted to host the Oscars in the first place.

“I wrapped up my late-night show a couple years ago,” he recalled. “It was a dream … and when it ended I was done. I thought, ‘Now, I want to just try things that scare me. If it scares me, I think I should do it.’”

The Bachelor alum Daisy Kent and her boyfriend, Thor Herbst, have taken the next step in their relationship.

“Me and Thor are now roommates,” Kent, 26, said in a Saturday, March 1, TikTok video. “We’ll see how that goes.”

Kent further joked that her social media followers “will probably be seeing a lot more” of Herbst in the background when she shares content online.

Styles, 31, was spotted participating in the annual Tokyo Marathon on Saturday, March 1, via now-viral footage shared on social media.

In a video circulating on X, Styles was seen running incognito during the race, sporting a black Nike hoodie, matching shorts, neon-yellow sneakers and a pair of sunglasses. He also wore a white bandana to hold back his hair and was seen sporting a mustache.

Harrison Ford will reportedly no longer present an award at the 2025 Academy Awards after a recent shingles diagnosis.

Ford, 82, is doing alright and resting, per Entertainment Weekly. According to the outlet, the Shrinking star resigned as a presenter at the Oscars on Saturday, March 1.

Ford has not publicly addressed his health scare. Us Weekly has reached out for comment.

Ford was scheduled to present at the 2025 Oscars, which will be held on Sunday, March 2, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

According to Ford, working on Shrinking is akin to an “emotional exercise.”

“That’s what I think we’re offering an audience,” he told Us. “We’re offering them [an] emotional exercise; a chance to practice empathy and understanding [for] people that are unlike you — they’re not in your group chat — [and] experience what it’s like to learn from their experiences as well.”

The 97th Academy Awards air live on ABC Sunday, March 2, at 7 p.m. ET.

Outlander, Sex/Life and more TV shows and movies have hired intimacy coordinators to manage sex scenes.

“My task early on in the season was No. 1, to check in with them and go, ‘OK, so you’re together this season, how can I help you feel safe?’” Sex/Life intimacy coordinator Casey Hudecki exclusively told Us Weekly in March 2023. “‘How can I help you protect your relationship as your characters go off and have other relationships? How can I help the actors who are … being their scene partners to feel safe and to feel free even though they know that, you know, Adam and Sarah [are] together?’ So there’s a lot of talking.”

The fashion house announced on Friday, February 28, that Kardashian, 44, is among the famous faces to appear on its new series of “Fanclub Series” T-shirts.

Family members of Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, were reportedly concerned about the couple’s wellbeing ahead of their recent deaths.

“Betsy hadn’t called her mother in months. She usually called every one or two months,” Arakawa’s mother’s longtime housekeeper Keiko told the Daily Mail in an interview published on Friday, February 28. “Last time she called was October. We were thinking, what happened?’”

He was loved and admired by millions around the world for his brilliant acting career, but to us he was always just Dad and Grandpa,” Hackman’s daughters and granddaughter told Us Weekly in a statement. “We will miss him sorely and are devastated by the loss.”

Hackman and Arakawa, who had been married since 1991, are survived by the Oscar winner’s children — Christopher, Elizabeth and Leslie — from his first marriage to late ex-wife Faye Maltese, and their granddaughter, Anna.

An official cause of death has yet to be determined and an investigation is ongoing. In a Friday press conference, sheriff Adan Mendoza revealed that Hackman had likely been dead for more than a week before his and Arakawa’s bodies were found.

“Both individuals tested negative for carbon monoxide, [and] an initial interrogation was conducted of Mr. Hackman’s pacemaker,” Mendoza claimed. “This revealed that his last event was recorded on February 17, 2025. I was advised that a more thorough investigation will be completed. According to the pathologist, I think that is a very good assumption that was his last day of life.”

Mendoza further noted that there is still an open and “active investigation” surrounding Hackman and Arakawa’s deaths. One of the couple’s dogs had also been found dead, while two additional canines were found alive and taken into custody at a local shelter.

Former New York Dolls frontman David Johansen has died after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was 75.

“David Johansen died at home in NYC on Friday afternoon holding hands with his wife Mara Hennessey and daughter Leah, surrounded by music, flowers and love,” a spokesperson for the musician told Rolling Stone in a Saturday, March 1, statement. “He was 75 years old and died of natural causes after nearly a decade of illness.”

Johansen’s daughter, Leah, confirmed earlier in February that the musician was battling stage four cancer and a brain tumor.

“David is a legend but he’s also my very real very sick dad,” Leah wrote via her Instagram Story on February 10. “I have so much to say but I guess I’ll be posting about this alot and I don’t have to say it all now.”

According to Leah, Johansen fell down the stairs in November 2024, which left him “bedridden and incapacitated.”

“Due to the trauma, David’s illness has progressed exponentially and my mother is caring for him around the clock,” she continued. “As hilarious and wise as David continues to be, he is physically debilitated and his care exceeds what we are capable of providing without specialized professional help.”

Johansen spoke out that same day, telling Rolling Stone that he had been “living with [his] illness for a long time.”

Johansen, who is survived by his wife and daughter, had cofounded the New York Dolls in 1971. He was also known under his pseudonym, Buster Poindexter.
