Charli D’Amelio Stuns in Skin-Baring Outfit With a Statement Belt in Milan

Charli D’Amelio has once again influenced Us — and this time, it has to do with statement belts.

It all started when D’Amelio, 20, was spotted at the Prada Fall 2025 runway show during Milan Fashion Week on Thursday, February 27, and let’s just say the TikTok sensation is continuing to take her personal style to the next level.

The social media star chose a midriff-baring ensemble from the Italian fashion house’s Spring 2025 collection. The two-piece set consisted of an emerald-green Radzimir Strapless Bra Top and a low-slung pleated skirt that was attached to a moto-chic belt.

Of course, the & Juliet ensemble member made the impossible-to-miss outfit appear timeless, effortless and classic. Long, beach-like waves added soft, earthy vibes and helped balance out the overall edgy flair, while minimal jewelry kept the attention on the show’s main star — a.k.a. her belt — which just so happened to accentuate her abs.

The Most Talked-About Looks at Paris Fashion Week Spring 2025

The former Dancing with the Stars champion isn’t the only celebrity who’s recently donned a larger-than-life waist accessory or a midriff-revealing outfit. Caitríona Balfe, 45, also displayed some skin and a chunky wardrobe addition at this year’s Critics’ Choice Awards.

Courtesy of celebrity stylist Karla Welch‘s dressing magic, the Outlander actress arrived in a satin Prada crop top that featured keyhole cutouts at the neckline, a coordinating skirt and a leather belt like D’Amelio.

We’re not surprised that this risqué and bold aesthetic is being flaunted around the globe, as low-rise silhouettes are one of spring’s most coveted trends, along with oversized anything. More is more this season.

Even if you cannot imagine pulling off a daring belt like Balfe and D’Amelio, the accessory is coming back in a big way in 2025, even when styled traditionally. To reap the waist-snatching benefits, consider buckling up.

Expert-Approved Tips for Red Carpet-Worthy Skin

14 February 2025 at 16:16

The radiant and picture-perfect complexions during awards season are just as mesmerizing as the fashion, but you needn’t be a celebrity to get the look.

Just ask two of the top beauty pros in the business: Dior Beauty skincare expert and ambassador Sarah Akram, whose A-list clientele includes Sheryl Lee Ralph, Rachel Zegler and Mindy Kaling, as well as celebrity makeup artist Lyndsay Zavitz, who has worked with actresses Cameron Bure, Emily Osment and Jana Kramer, to name a few.

It’s safe to say the two glam gurus know more than a thing or two about achieving practically-perfect skin for any major star-studded event. But what are the key weapons and techniques in creating the perfect canvas that not only photographs flawlessly, but looks natural (a.k.a. not cakey!) in real life?

For one, skin prep is essential. Akram knows this, and therefore blessed Us with the at-home version of her glow-worthy facial she treats stars to, whether on-the-go or from her luxurious spa in Alexandria, Virginia. Two, choosing the right makeup formulas — and knowing how to properly apply them — is also crucial. Thankfully, Zavitz dished the products you’ll always find in her kit plus, the application hacks she swears by.

© Environ

Wash away “makeup, dirt and excess oils” with a pre-cleansing oil while “using upward massaging strokes for 30 seconds.” The Environ Dual Action PreCleansing Oil is one of Akram’s personal favorites.

© Biologique Recherche

“Without washing the cleansing oil off, apply a milk cleanser [such as Biologique Recherche’s Lait E.V.] right on top of the oil. Use circular motions for another 15-30 seconds.”

© Environ

For the grand finale in Akram’s “triple cleanse” technique, “apply a clay mask and emulsify all three products together for an additional 15-30 seconds.” A clay mask like the Environ Hydrating Clay Masque specifically works to “gently exfoliate while also giving the skin a nice, deep clean.”

© Fresh

“Use a toner [such as Fresh’s Rose & Hyaluronic Acid Deep Hydration Toner, and dispense it on a cotton round] to balance [the skin’s] pH levels and remove any lasting residual buildup on the skin.”

© Geologie

“Apply eye cream using your ring finger and massage it four times in a circular motion. Make sure to also [apply over] the hoods of the eyes.” One of Akram’s top picks: Geologie Eye Cream - Dark Circle Formula.

© Dior

Next, Akram — known for her non-invasive and preventative approach to anti-aging — said to apply a few drops of serum with collagen-stimulating and skin-smoothing effects onto the face and décolleté. (For this, you can't go wrong with Dior's Capture Le Sérum.)

© Dior

Reach for a high-quality moisturizer — like Dior Capture Day Creme — that will act as a protective layer against environmental stressors. (It will also aid the skin in better absorbing your toner and serum.)

© Tizo Skin

If you’re going outside, top everything off with TiZO AM Replenish Lightly Tinted. “[Since] sunscreens can often be very thick and pasty, go for a lightweight, physical block formula.”

© Sephora

Now onto makeup! When figuring out what you need to create a standout eye look, start with a creamy eyeshadow to “prevent creasing and provide an intense base.” Then, add a layer of glittery powder. This will give “just the right amount of sparkle for a show-stopping effect under the flash.” Zavitz swears by Patrick Ta Beauty palettes, like the Major Dimension Eyeshadow Palette.

© La Mer

When it comes to foundation, opt for one that “delivers full coverage without feeling heavy.” The makeup master is a fan of La Mer The Soft Fluid Long Wear Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 20 for this very reason.

© Charlotte Tilbury

“Bronzer is essential to add dimension and warmth to the face, especially under the harsh stage lights,” Zavitz explained. “Avoid shades that are too orange or too gray — you want your bronzer to enhance the complexion, not overpower it.” Charlotte Tilbury’s Airbrush Bronzer will do the trick.

© Dermablend

“Setting the foundation with a translucent powder [like the Dermablend Professional Loose Setting Powder] ensures there’s no flashback in photos and locks the makeup in place,” she says. “Lightly dust it over the face, focusing on the T-zone to keep shine at bay.”

9 Winter Skincare Saviors to Combat Seasonal Dryness

17 January 2025 at 12:16

Us Weekly has affiliate partnerships so we may receive compensation for some links to products and services.

The chilly weather can indicate the perfect time to refresh our skincare arsenals. Sure, we have those tried-and-true products we refuse to replace, but a substantial dip in temperature pushes Us to nurture our face and body with more protective and heavy formulas.

Board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon Dr. Michelle Henry emphasizes the importance of choosing certain consistencies and ingredients. The NYC-based doctor explains: “Thick, rich moisturizers with ingredients like hyaluronic acid, ceramides and glycerin [help] really protect the skin from the dry, cold air.” Another lesser-known reason to use the proper formulas: They work to shield skin against the “[drying] warm air that we use indoors.”

Henry also specified two products we should be using every day. “Switch to a hydrating cleanser and absolutely do not forget sunscreen,” she preached. The reason for the latter may surprise you: “The strength of a UV light is independent of the temperature in the air, so just because the temperature is cooler does not mean the UV strength is weaker, and it’s often when I see some of the worst burns!”

Ready to rebuild your bathroom cabinet? Same.

Below, 9 of the best beauty products to add to your routine this winter — from a shine-boosting lip treatment from Scarlett Johansson’s The Outset to a vitamin-rich cream that locks in moisture and leads to radiant results.

© Carlos Alvarez/WireImage

© MOROCCANOIL

Dealing with itchiness and flakes on your scalp? Less humidity in the air can result in moisture loss. Moroccanoil’s Dry Scalp Treatment is made with skin-soothing and vitamin-rich agents (like argan and geranium oils), plus gently exfoliating salicylic acid, which can aid in alleviating dryness.

© dermalogica

The lack of moisture due to lower humidity and temperature can cause the face to appear less radiant and smooth. Keep an eye out for niacinamide and pro-vitamin B5 on labels — two agents infused in Dermalogica’s Multivitamin Power Recovery — to assist in improving luminosity and texture.

© MARIO BADESCU

Moisturizing the décolletage is just as important as moisturizing the face — especially since the area is delicate and oftentimes exposed. Mario Badescu’s Vitamin A-D-E Neck Cream can help pack on the hydration and in turn, diminish the appearance of fine lines.

© The Outset

Harsh external elements can lead to lips feeling far from supple. Try developing a habit of using a skin-barrier-supporting balm, such as The Outset Lip Oasis Glossy Treatment. The popular pick from Johansson’s skincare brand houses humectants and emollients — including squalane and lactic acid — to attract and bind in moisture.

© LA ROCHE-POSAY

Notice keratosis pilaris — a common condition that results in bumpy skin — on the back of arms more so during the chilly season? The La Roche-Posay Lipikar Urea 10% Roughness Smoothing Lotion is one example of a nutritive blend that works to remove dead cells while still protecting the skin. Two hero ingredients: allantoin and urea.

© CeraVe

Especially during the colder months,  chapped skin and  inflammatory conditions, like eczema, are prone to flare up. Reparative agents, such as petrolatum and hyaluronic acid, help soothe irritation and extreme dryness — and they’re both found in the CeraVe Healing Ointment.

© Drunk Elephant

Over-cleansing your hands (and unfortunately, sometimes with harsh soaps) may keep germs at bay, but may cause the skin to look and feel less than pleasant. Formulas with antioxidant-loaded butters will deliver intense hydration. (We love Drunk Elephant’s new Therabu Buttered Reparative Hand Cream.)

© TULA Skincare

From ultra-hot showers to the cold wind, our legs — particularly knees and ankles — require extra moisture. Heavy hitters that feel butter will be your go-to fixes, especially ones with skin-softening hyaluronic acid and ceramides. Trust us: You can’t go wrong with Tula Skincare’s Take Care + Nourish Advanced Hydration Body Moisturizer.

© Dr. Teal

Tired of that rugged feeling on your heels? Smooth out roughness with a generous amount of Dr Teal’s Shea Enriched Foot Cream, which is laced with shea butter, aloe vera and Epsom salt. Head to toe hydration, indeed.

It’s that time of year! Ski season is at its peak, and let’s just say, nothing says cozy like aprés ski.

If you’re heading on an idyllic mountain vacay soon without plans of dominating (or attempting) any downhill run, it’s all good! You can still participate in all the post-slope social fun — and fashion — wearing ultra stylish, sporty and comfortable fits. Think: the perfect fair isle sweater, a knit beanie that’ll make every outfit stand out, a fringe-adorned puffer that gives the most glamorous Aspen vibes, the same snug boots worn by Nicky Hilton Rothschild… you get the picture.

Take note of the most slopeside-worthy sartorial essentials below — plus several solid skincare buys that’ll protect and nourish your complexions in the dry high altitudes. They just might make you look forward to packing.

Makeup Artist-Approved Tips for a Sparkly Holiday Makeup Look

Planning your holiday beauty look can be overwhelming. There’s a plethora of Instagram photos to be taken, the need to ensure your makeup stays put throughout never-ending family parties and maybe even the pressure of impressing your opinionated in-laws (in the words of the viral TikTok video, “we listen and we don’t judge…”). But the good news is that enhancing your complexion doesn’t have to be a stressful process, especially when you have red-carpet-worthy tips and tricks to follow.

If you’re feeling festive and want to incorporate sparkles, now’s the time to do it — but Tasha Reiko Brown tells Us that there is an art to wearing glitter. The Chanel makeup artist — who’s worked her magic on A-listers including Gabrielle Union, Ayo Edebiri and Alicia Keys — says it’s important to only focus on “one or two features of the [face]” so you don’t go overboard. Doing so “allows for the shimmer aspects of the makeup look to [stand out],” she further explains. “[Look for] products with lots of shine, shimmery textures that gleam and balms that bring light.”

Below, Brown’s top picks that will help you say goodbye to 2024 and ring in the new year with an abundance of glitz and glamour. Enjoy!

Next-Level Pout

Brown shares two ways to take a red lip up a notch. You can either “[select] a formula that has the shine intertwined with the pigment,” or you can swipe on a “clear or dazzling lip gloss” over red lipstick.

Holiday and NYE Makeup with Celeb MUA

Even if your red lipstick incorporates sparkles, you can still elevate the shine or “double down on color” by opting for a “sparkled lip gloss in the same shade.” (Brown likes the Sephora Collection About That Shine Sheer Shine Lipstick in Ray of Red.)

Holiday and NYE Makeup with Celeb MUA

The Chanel Rouge Allure L’extrait in Rouge Royal is her “current go-to”. The expert suggests pairing it with “satin skin and a clean eye.”

Holiday and NYE Makeup with Celeb MUA

Brown recommends choosing a “thick” formula like the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Heat Universal Lip Luminizer + Plumper in Glass Slipper. “A thin gloss formula will slide around too much and may eventually ‘mix’ into your lip color, leading to lip-border bleeding.”

Glowing Skin

“I like to add [shimmer] onto the high points of the face to really accentuate features,” Brown says. These areas include “on top of cheekbones, bridge of the nose, bow of the lips and center of the chin.”

Holiday and NYE Makeup with Celeb MUA

“To keep your shimmer elevated, make sure to choose textures that are fine, with small particles of glimmer,” Brown dishes. Rare Beauty’s Positive Light Liquid Luminizer in Enlighten is a perfect example of this, and if you’re using your finger to apply the product, Brown advises “using the pad of your ring finger for control.”

Holiday and NYE Makeup with Celeb MUA

Another one of Brown’s favorites? The Nudestix Nudies Glow Highlighter Stick in Bubbly Bebe. You’ll love the blendable texture and dewy appearance it achieves.

Holiday and NYE Makeup with Celeb MUA

If you’re not into highlighter, a “clear balm” such as the Jillian Dempsey Lid Tint in Dew will also deliver a gorgeous and luminous finish.

Holiday and NYE Makeup with Celeb MUA

When putting on your radiance boosters — specifically powders, like Chanel’s Diamond Dust Oversize Illuminating Powder — the expert advises using a brush that’s “thinner than your typical blush brush” to ensure precise application.

Sparkling Lids

A “glittery champagne” hue is one of Brown’s most beloved shades for the holiday season. “It pairs perfectly with a bold pop of a lip,” she emphasizes. Brown spills two techniques that will come in handy whether you’re applying a liquid or powder eye shadow. For seamless application, “use fingers or a tightly packed brush to tap the product gently onto the eyelids.”

Holiday and NYE Makeup with Celeb MUA

Liquid formulas like Chanel’s Ombre Première Laque in Rayon have their benefits because they help reduce the chances of pigment moving.

Holiday and NYE Makeup with Celeb MUA

She’s a fan of Urban Decay’s 24/7 Moondust Glitter Eyeshadow Singles in Space Cowboy. Brown notes to “press — not swipe [the product] — to minimize any fallout.”

Lauryn Bosstick’s Beauty Staples Will Transform Your Self-Care Routine

9 December 2024 at 06:35

If there’s anyone who understands the importance of self-care, it’s blogger-turned-entrepreneur Lauryn Bosstick.

As The Skinny Confidential founder and the co-host of The Skinny Confidential Him & Her show on the Dear Media network (alongside husband Michael Bosstick), she’s a wellspring of knowledge in the beauty and wellness area. And luckily for Us, she shared all the details behind the items she uses in her everyday routine — and why they’re worth the hype.

From mouth tape that yields face-sculpting and energy-boosting results, to a non-toxic brow serum that helps strengthen and grow hair for your best arches yet — read on to see 8 products she can’t live without.

Spoiler alert: You’re going to want to order them ASAP.

©

©

At the top of the beauty guru’s list? The Skinny Confidential Mouth Tape — and the number of benefits from using it nightly may surprise you. “It’ll have you waking up with so much energy, brighter eyes and a stronger chin and jaw,” Bosstick said. “It gives you this chiseled look that’s noticeable after consistent use.” So how do you use the medical-grade and hypoallergenic adhesive, you might ask? “You can slather on all your evening skincare, wait ten minutes then apply mouth tape and it’ll stay on all night.”

©

Bosstick makes space for self-care with the most compact ice roller cold therapy has to offer. “[The Skinny Confidential] Mint Roller was made to take with you — anywhere. It has caps for each end to keep it clean and fits in any bag.” She also noted that the “V-shaped size perfectly sculpts your jawline and cheekbones” while “the smooth side [helps] smooth and soothe everywhere else.” Another bonus? It “stays cold,” so no need to chill in the freezer.

©

The secret to her lit-from-within glow? A lightweight cream filled with powerful ingredients. “[The Epicuren Colostrum Luminous Glow Cream] was recommended to me by my facialist Staci Christie and it’s my favorite moisturizer,” the multi-hyphenate said of the formula that gives her complexion a “supple and dewy” finish. The nutritive blend contains all-natural colostrum, an ingredient most likely familiar to expectant mothers. “Colostrum is nutrient rich and packed with tissue repair factors and immunity benefits,” explained Bosstick. “My night nurse told me to put it on my skin if I had rashes or cuts, so it makes sense to put this on your skin all the time.”

©

Bosstick never skips cleansing oil, which is the first step of her double-cleansing regimen. “The founders of House of Preservation know skin and they delivered with this,” she said of the brand’s Step One | Oil Cleanser that nourishes her skin without “that stripped-down feeling.”

©

As her Instagram followers can attest, Bosstick has a seriously good head of hair, and she swears by dry shampoo that works overtime. “[The Dae Hair Fairy Duster Dry Shampoo] is something that I swear has also helped my hair grow. While we were traveling a lot this summer, I didn’t wash my hair as much, but this dry shampoo saved me,” she revealed. “It’s volumizing, made with clean ingredients and is non-aerosol.”

©

Bosstick applies the Primally Pure Plumping Mist “throughout the day” and finds it helpful to spray before removing her mouth tape when she wakes up. “Everything is clean and natural,” she said of the company's products. “I love the Plumping Mist because it’s so refreshing and helps with cell renewal. It’s super hydrating too.”

©

“Launching [The Skinny Confidential Brow Peptide] was full circle because I’ve always been a fan of a bold brow and [have] been getting a double tint for years,” she said. Bosstick also noted that it features skin-loving agents, like “cold-pressed castor oil and a peptide to really enhance keratin production, nourish your hair follicles and give you the bold brows you always dreamed of.”

©

“It’s so good for anti-aging,” Bosstick said of the Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare DRx SpectraLite FaceWare Pro, which emits red and blue LED lights to target wrinkles, minor breakouts and sun damage. “You only need to use it for about three minutes a day and it really does make a difference in your complexion.”
