Zachary Levi has some thoughts on whether or not Timothée Chalamet will play Flynn Rider in the live-action movie Tangled.

“Oh, I think he would be great,” Levi exclusively told Us Weekly of the rumored casting while attending the New York premiere of The Unbreakable Boy on Wednesday, February 19 at AMC Lincoln Square.

“I would totally sign off on Timothée,” he added.

Levi, 44, lent his voice to the 2010 animated film, alongside Mandy Moore’s Repunzel and Donna Murphy’s evil Mother Gothel. Levi went on to tell Us that he doesn’t know if the powers that be will “ever make a Tangled 2 movie.”

“We did a Tangled series,” he added, referring to the 2017 series Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure that featured the returning voices of both Moore and Levi. The series ran for two seasons.

In December 2024, Deadline and Variety reported that Disney’s 2010 Tangled was getting a live-action remake. According to the outlets, The Greatest Showman director Michael Gracey is in talks to direct.

Do Revenge and Thor: Love and Thunder writer Jennifer Kaaytin Robinson reportedly wrote the latest version of the Tangled script.

Revisiting his work on Tangled – whether via a live-action movie or simply a 2010 animated film re-watch — is certainly in Levi’s future, as he is preparing to become a father. In December 2024, Levi announced via Instagram that he and girlfriend Maggie Keating are expecting their first child together.

“I’ve wanted to be a dad since I was literally a kid,” Levi wrote at the time, alongside a picture of an ultrasound. “I’ve always felt that call on my life. This desire in my heart. A strange feeling of incompleteness by not having that level of love and responsibility in my journey. That the best years of my life would be on the other side of finally being a father. But deep down I knew that there were things in my life that needed to shift before I was ready for the blessing of something so special and the responsibilities that come with it.”

Zachary Levi and Girlfriend Maggie Keating Are Expecting First Baby

Levi went on to say that “last November” that aforementioned shift occurred, which he credited to “loving and valuing myself more.” He also praised his girlfriend Keating, calling her a “wonderful woman on the same journey of self discovery and love, ready to step into a new and amazing chapter of life with me.”

“We can’t wait for ya’ll to meet our little bambino,” he continued in the post’s caption. “We’re waiting until the birth to know the sex, but I’ll be stoked out of my mind either way. Keep ‘em original, but not TOO original. We don’t need them being bullied more than their theater-nerd father.”

When asked how his recent role in The Unbreakable Boy – a movie about a boy and his parents finding courage, joy and gratitude in a trying circumstance in which Levi stars alongside Jacob Laval – prepared him for impending fatherhood, the actor said that working with “anyone, be they a child or another adult, teaches you empathy.”

“It teaches you that there is another soul out there that is not you, that is living an entirely other existence and another life, and they’re doing their best,” he told Us. “And particularly with children, whether with children or adults, may we always walk more patiently. May we always walk in more kindness and more love. Jacob has this incredible energy that we all got infected by as he brought Austin to life. For us, we were so blessed to find somebody as talented because child actors, it’s tough. They haven’t had a lot of experience acting, so they’re coming with a lot of their own raw talents, and Jacob was wonderful.”

Blake Lively Slams ‘Sexist’ Cover Depicting Her and Justin Baldoni at War

Blake Lively is speaking out against a recent cover for The Hollywood Reporter amid her ongoing legal battle with her It Ends With Us costar and director Justin Baldoni.

“The Hollywood Reporter should be ashamed of itself,” a spokesperson for the actress told Us Weekly in a statement shared on Saturday, February 22.

“The framing in this picture is outrageously insulting as it plays into every sexist trope about women who dare file a workplace complaint, turning them into the aggressor, and suggesting they deserve the retaliation that comes their way,” the statement continued. “In addition, the story is extremely offensive as it incredibly seems to explain away documented examples of sexual harassment and retaliation by calling them ‘cultural misunderstandings.’”

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s Alleged Feud and Lawsuits Explained

The publication’s most recent issue included the now controversial cover, depicting Lively, 37, sling-shotting a cell phone at Baldoni, 41, as he ran away from her, clutching a copy of Colleen Hoover’s book It Ends With Us from which their 2024 film was adapted. Baldoni also appears to hold a slingshot.

The cover is meant to depict the biblical story of David and Goliath, in which a young boy overcomes all odds with just a simple slingshot and a rock to defeat a giant.

In the background, Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, is depicted as his Deadpool character ‘Nicepool,’ who is rumored to be a depiction of Baldoni meant to mock the director. Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Fredman, is also depicted in the cover, standing behind Baldoni and opposite Reynolds’ Nicepool with his hands on his hips.

Like Lively, many readers online took issue with the publication’s depiction of the costars’ highly-publicized legal battle.

“The audacity to turn this whole case into a joke is fucking alarming. I stand with Blake Lively because I believe her… I don’t care if people say she’s not a perfect victim or whatever bullshit — it really doesn’t matter,” one person wrote via X. “Predators should be punished.”

“Incredibly inappropriate,” another posted. “You have a responsibility as a publication, but time and time again yours has trivialized sexual harassment and assault, among other horrible things.”

Blake Lively Claims Justin Baldoni Made Other Women ‘Uncomfortable’ on Set

Lively named Baldoni, 41, in a December 2024 lawsuit, claiming that he sexually harassed her and allegedly fostered a “hostile work environment” on the set of It Ends With Us. She amended her complaint earlier this month, also detailing the “emotional impact” of the legal fallout.

“The emotional impact on Ms. Lively has been extreme, not only affecting her, but her family, including her husband and four children,” court docs obtained by Us read. “There are days when she has struggled to get out of bed, and she frequently chooses not to venture outside in public.”

“Our clients have been transparent in providing receipts, real time documents and video showing a completely different story than what has been manipulated and cherry-picked to the media,” Baldoni’s lawyer Freedman said in a statement to Us on Wednesday, February 19. “Our clients have taken this matter and these issues very seriously notwithstanding the jokes made publicly by the plaintiff and her husband.”

The statement continued, “Her underwhelming amended complaint is filled with unsubstantial hearsay of unnamed persons who are clearly no longer willing to come forward or publicly support her claims. Since documents do not lie and people do, the upcoming depositions of those who initially supported Ms. Lively’s false claims and those who are witnesses to her own behavior will be enlightening. What is truly uncomfortable here is Ms. Lively’s lack of actual evidence.”

Baldoni has denied Lively’s allegations, filing a $400 million defamation suit in January that claimed the Gossip Girl alum was “determined to make Baldoni the real-life villain in her story” to mask her reported “tone-deaf” promotion of the film. Lively denied the accusations.

The pair are scheduled to begin trial on March 9, 2026.

Ashley St. Clair Sues Elon Musk for Sole Legal Custody of His 13th Child

Author Ashley St. Clair is reportedly suing billionaire Elon Musk for sole custody of their alleged child.

St. Claire, best known for her children’s book Elephants Are Not Birds, filed a petition with the New York Supreme Court for custody of the child on Friday, February 21, according to SCOOP, who first reported the filing. In the court filings, reviewed by the publication, the author alleges that Elon Musk is the father of her child — though he “has only met him three times.”

“[Musk] has met him only three (3) times and has no involvement in his care and upbringing,” the petition reportedly states. The petition also claims the boy, who goes by R.S.C., was born in September 2024.

In addition to filing for sole custody, St. Claire also reportedly filed a paternity petition.

Ashley St. Clair Claims Elon Musk Told Her to Keep Their Alleged Baby a Secret

In court filings, St. Claire reportedly claims that she and Musk engaged in a “romantic relationship in or about May 2023.” Additionally, she claims they had intercourse and their alleged son was conceived in January 2024.

Musk has allegedly “acknowledged parentage of the child in various written correspondences,” St. Claire claims, according to the reported filing. The author also alleged that she exchanged text messages with Musk about their child after he was born, and that she sent a photograph of the child to Musk.

“I look forward to seeing you and him this weekend,” she claims Musk responded, per the reported docs. According to People, a screenshot of the alleged text message exchange was included in the petition.

St. Claire also claims that Musk acknowledged that the child was his when discussing safety concerns. “If I make a mistake on security, [R.S.C.] will never know his father,” she claims Musk said — something she describes in the court filing as ‘another acknowledgment of parentage.’

On February 14, St. Claire claimed via X that she had welcomed Musk’s 13th child five months prior.

Elon Musk’s Estranged Daughter Says She Found Out About New Sibling Online

“Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father,” she wrote at the time. “I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child’s privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause.”

She added, “I intend to allow our child to grow in a normal and safe environment. For that reason, I ask that the media honor our child’s privacy, and refrain from invasive reporting.” Alongside the post, St. Clair wrote “Alea Iacta Est,” which translates to “The die is cast.”

Musk has not publicly acknowledged or responded to St. Claire’s claims. Us Weekly has reached out to Musk for comment.

Days later, on February 15, St. Claire claimed via a representative that her and Musk were working towards an amicable parenting agreement.

“Ashley & Elon have been privately working towards the creation of an agreement about raising their child for some time,” Brian Glicklich, a representative for St. Clair, said in a statement shared via X. “It is disappointing that a tabloid reporter, who repeatedly ambushed Ashley and her family, made it impossible to complete that process confidentially. We are waiting for Elon to publicly acknowledge his parental role with Ashley, to end unwarranted speculation, and Ashley trusts that Elon intends to finish their agreement quickly, in the best interests of the wellbeing and security of the child they share.”

Musk is already a father to 12 other children. Most recently, Bloomberg reported in June 2024 that Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis reportedly welcomed their third baby together.

The pair previously welcomed twins Strider and Azure in November 2021.

Musk also has six children with ex-wife Justine Wilson. Musk and Wilson, 51, who were married between 2000 and 2008, share twins Vivian and Griffin, both 20, and triplets Kai, Saxon and Damian, all 18. The exes also shared son Nevada, who died of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) at 10 weeks old. Musk also shares three children with the singer Grimes.

Ice T’s wife, Coco Austin, is baring it all for the sake of one killer tan.

“I’m the original micro thong wearer…lol…,” Austin, 45, wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, February 19, along with pictures of the model and TV personality posing in a barely-there bikini on a nondescript beach.

In one photo, Austin shows off her entire backside. In another, she faces the camera for a full-body shot while holding a drink. The third snap features Austin showing off her chest in a close-up selfie that also featured her black sunglasses.

“Been doing it ever since the 90’s … nothings changed,” Austin continued in the caption. “Its the only way to tan. More pics on my fan page.”

This is not the first time Austin has turned heads in a bikini — in 1997, the model appeared on the cover of Swimwear International wearing, yes, a string bikini.

“TB My first mag cover!” Austin wrote in a 2016 Instagram post featuring the OG cover. “Wow look at them roots! I was 18 here in ‘97. This is when I slowly started dyeing my hair blonde… I called it Peanut butter back then..This was taken in Greece.”

In 2018, Austin also caused a stir when she posed in a swimsuit alongside her then 2-year-old daughter, Chanel. (Austin shares Chanel, born in 2015, with her husband Ice T. The rapper also has two children, LeTesha and Tracy Jr., from a previous relationship.)

In the photos, shared via Instagram, Austin posed in a matching floral bikini with her daughter. “I said to Chanel, ‘Wanna take some pictures while we go in the pool?’ She says, ‘Then can I have some Licorice?’ and here’s the outcome… Matching swimsuits by my fav online store!”

“This makes me so sad, she’s teaching her daughter that clothes and posing for the camera are the most important things. Some of the photos on her Instagram are really inappropriate for a baby,” one fan commented at the time.

“Oh look! Another celebrity mom with her ‘accessory,’” another posted.

Aubrey Plaza Makes 1st Public Appearance Following Husband’s Death

Aubrey Plaza made her first public appearance since the untimely death of her husband, Jeff Baena.

Plaza, 40, appeared during Saturday Night Live’s 50th anniversary special on Sunday, February 16, introducing singers Miley Cyrus and Brittany Howard.

Plaza’s appearance was brief but marked her first time in front of the camera since her husband passed away at the age of 47.

News broke on January 4 that the late filmmaker died in the couple’s home. According to medical examiner records reviewed by Us Weekly, Baena’s official cause of death was suicide.

Aubrey Plaza's Husband Jeff Baena Dead at 47

Two days later, on January 6, Plaza broke her silence.

“This is an unimaginable tragedy,” a rep said in a statement on behalf of the actress and her family to Us. “We are deeply grateful to everyone who has offered support. Please respect our privacy during this time.”

Baena and Plaza first started dating in 2011 and officially tied the knot in 2020 after a decade together. The pair kept their relationship largely private, but Plaza opened up about her and Baena’s nuptials during a December 2021 appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show.

“A lot of things happened during COVID for me. Yes, we got married. Big deal,” Plaza recalled at the time. “We got a little bored one night. We got married and I’ll tell you how: Onehourmarriage.com. That’s real, look it up.”

At the time, the Parks and Rec star shared that she and her husband had decided to walk down the proverbial wedding aisle while on lockdown.

“I created a very quick love altar in our yard. Facts of our love, little stones, smoke, fire. Things of that nature,” she continued. “Then the man from Alhambra showed up in a Hawaiian shirt with a briefcase [to perform the ceremony]. … I can’t remember a lot of it, it was fuzzy. But I’m pretty sure it’s legal.”

Aubrey Plaza Breaks Silence After Husband Jeff Baena's Death at 47

One week after her husband’s passing, Plaza deleted her Instagram account, which was flooded with condolences and well-wishes from friends and fans alike.

Director Alex Ross Perry took to social media to remember his special bond with the late director.

“I’ve struggled for days on how to summarize my friendship with Jeff Baena into just a few paragraphs. I could write more. I should,” Perry, 40, wrote via Instagram on January 8. “But Jeff wouldn’t write that much: he’d want a concise outline with the basic idea, and then to riff and expand upon it in the moment later.”

He added, “But there is no later, and that is impossible to believe. There will be no ‘Next time I stay at Jeff and Aubrey’s house,’ which I did countless times. If you’ve seen me in L.A. in the last 10 years, it is probably because Jeff gave me a place to stay. He fed me. He made amazing smoothies. Ordered delivery from places he knew I liked but wouldn’t have time to go to.”

Invictus Athlete Who Served With Prince Harry Shares What the Duke Was Like

Invictus Athlete Who Served With Prince Harry Details What the Prince Was Like in Combat
James Phelps Shawn Sprayberry

Invictus Athlete James Phelps knows what it’s like to be in combat — and after serving in Afghanistan with Prince Harry, he can confidently say the Duke of Sussex does, too.

“He truly understands,” James, 44, exclusively told Us Weekly while attending the 2025 Invictus Games at the Vancouver Convention Center on Saturday, February 15. “Like, he’s been through situations like most of us here have, so just the genuine nature of him putting this together for people who have been through similar things.”

James, who competed in the skeleton biathlon, wheelchair rugby and wheelchair basketball, told Us the Duke of Sussex was “over there on the Apache squadron” when he visited one of “our sites” while they were both deployed to Afghanistan in 2012.

“We were working with search and rescue helicopters,” he explained. “So he came over and just did a tour of our squadron and stuff — taking pictures and things. [He was just] a regular, genuine guy. This was 2012 — we had a big attack at Camp Bastion. It was September 2012.”

Prince Harry’s Military Career: From Enlistment to Invictus Games

James was deployed multiple times — he was part of a Search and Rescue Squad credited with saving 500 lives — and sought treatment and hospitalization for PTSD. “I got help before it was too late,” he has said previously.

Prince Harry served in the British military from 2005 to 2015. During that time, he was deployed to Afghanistan twice — flying Apache helicopters from 2012 to 2013 — making him the first member of the royal family to serve in active military service in 30 years.

James’ wife and caretaker, Cynthia, says she has an immense amount of respect for Prince Harry because of his military service and time in-country.

“We have a high regard for him,” Cynthia told Us. “I know James does, because there were two Marines who were killed in action [during] that attack. It was, like, two years after that attack that the Invictus Games were founded. That doesn’t fall by the wayside.”

Prince Harry founded the Invictus Games in 2014 — a competition for injured, wounded or sick service men and women inspired by his decade-long experience in the armed forces.

“He is the front man on this,” Cynthia says of Harry. “And every time that he and Meghan [Markle] have come together — I mean, they’re hand-in-hand, cheek-to-cheek — [they’re] telling us how much it means to them. There is a huge team behind them as well.”

She added, “Every time we’ve had any contact with them, it is so genuine. They make it feel like it’s just you and them alone in a room. With every contact.”

Blind Snowboarder at Invictus Games Shares Special Moment With Prince Harry

Nearly a decade after they first met while serving in Afghanistan, James and Harry reunited in San Diego in 2023.

“He came down and picked, like, eight of us to have lunch with them,” James told Us. “So I was one of the eight that got to have lunch with him. When we sat down we shared stories about how we had met before — he signed my line badge and gave me a Prince Harry coin. There were no cameras. There was nothing, no publicity. It was just him and a bunch of guys.”

He added, “He’s amazing. He called me ‘blue beard.’”

James — who started dying his hair and beard blue in 2023 as a “conversations starter” — says the Invictus Games are unlike any other sporting competition on the planet.

“There is nothing like this in the world,” he said, adding that his favorite sport is rugby, even though “skeleton is probably the most adrenaline filled.”

“This has been so inspiring,” he added of the Games. “Just the people here are positively charged — you can almost, like, smell it in the air. Yeah, [an] absolutely amazing environment. There’s so many amazing stories here — people just pushing through diversity and just thriving.”

When it comes to throwing a party, the Running Point cast knows how to get down and “cut loose” thanks to star Kate Hudson.

“Kate had a crawfish boil at her house,” Hudson’s costar Fabrizio Guido exclusively told Us Weekly while attending the comedy series’ Los Angeles premiere at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood on Thursday, February 13.

“So she brought a company in to make crawfish and the whole cast gathered up,” Guido, 25, continued. “Our showrunners were there, some writers were there, and we just kind of cut loose and got to enjoy each other’s company outside of having to be in front of the camera.”

In the film, Hudson plays reformed party girl Isla Gordon, who is unexpectedly put in charge of her family’s professional basketball team. Hudson and Guido star alongside Brenda Song, Drew Tarver, Scott MacArthur, Toby Sandeman, Chet Hanks, Max Greenfield and Jay Ellis.

Kate Hudson Rocks Plunging Neckline at 'Running Point' Premiere

When asked what it was like to work alongside Hudson and Song, Guido said he simply loves them both.

“I love them. I absolutely love them,” he explained “Kate is the number one — she sets such a great tone on set. When you’re the number one, you’re responsible for setting that tone and she works hard, plays hard. You go on our set and there’s so much laughter, so much love, and just people enjoying themselves.”

He added, “We’ll stay and hang out with each other.”

Sandeman, 36, exclusively told Us that the cast was able to create a slew of memorable moments on and off set, including one when Hudson was “fully in character.”

“Probably one of the most memorable moments was — it was take two,” he explained at the premiere on Thursday. “I was in a scene with Kate Hudson, fully in character. Knew what I was trying to achieve in this scene. All of a sudden, I’m like, ‘Oh my god – I’m in a scene with Kate Hudson.’ And it all just came crashing. It was a wonderful moment. Probably can’t use that take, but yeah, it was wonderful.”

What to Know About Mindy Kaling’s Series ‘Running Point’

While the vibe both on and off the set was a jovial one, Guido said the show’s competitive theme was certainly one he felt while vying for a spot on the cast.

“I’ll slip into a little bit of competitiveness here and there,” he explained. “I feel like even the casting process for this brought out that competitive nature in me, and I really wanted to get this role. So I wanted to bring my best foot forward and I always have made sure I’m doing my best, memorizing all my lines, doing everything to be funny.”

Scott Evans is not afraid to get competitive — even with his closest friends and family.

“Ask any of my friends or even the ones that aren’t my friends anymore from a game night,” Evans, 41, exclusively told Us Weekly on Thursday, February 13, while attending the Los Angeles premiere of his new Netflix comedy series Running Point.

“Listen, if people just follow rules we won’t have a problem,” he continued. “I like to win. My boyfriend and I play in a pickleball league and yeah, I can’t control it sometimes I’m a Virgo. I like to win. I’m very competitive. He is too, and I like that.”

His innate competitiveness came naturally growing up with three additional siblings, Shanna Evans, Carly Evans and Captain America himself, Chris Evans.

What to Know About Mindy Kaling’s Series ‘Running Point’

“Absolutely,” Evans said regarding how competitive he was (and still is) with his siblings. “We still have our game nights and there will still be fights and it will still be storming out after Monopoly. Of course It’s good. It gives you a hard shell.”

Netflix’s Running Point focuses on reformed party girl Isla Gordon (Kate Hudson) as she finds herself unexpectedly in charge of her family’s professional basketball team. Evans stars alongside Hudson as well as Brenda Song, Drew Tarver, Scott MacArthur, Toby Sandeman, Chet Hanks, Max Greenfield and Jay Ellis.

In addition to telling Us about his competitive childhood, Evans opened up about what it was like to work alongside his fellow castmates.

“I had never worked with Drew [Tarver] before and I was a little nervous going in,” he explained. “I’ve seen him in The Other Two and it’s just, like, he’s so funny. And my character is kind of dryer. He is not really making jokes. And so I was like, ‘Oh, I’m sorry. I’m so nervous.’ But he is a dream — like, a dream. He’s so comforting and loving and he’s so good. He’s so good.”

Scott Evans Defends Brother Chris Evans’ Romance With Alba Baptista

While Evans certainly isn’t afraid to show his competitive side, he is equally devoted to finding and cultivating joy and happiness both on and off the set.

“My friends and family mean a lot to me,” he explained. “I, luckily, can always count on them if I’m feeling down and I’ll let them know. I’ll be like, ‘Hey, I’m down. It’s your job now to bring me happiness.’ And back and forth. And to them, I will do it, too.”
Evans is also dedicated to sparking joy in his own life via hands-on projects.

“I just built a little marble structure out of wood pieces and I didn’t know how much joy it would possibly bring me,” he added. “But I’ll be buying more.”

Author Ashley St. Clair is offering some insight into her future plans to parent alongside Elon Musk after claiming she gave birth to his 13th child.

“Ashley & Elon have been privately working towards the creation of an agreement about raising their child for some time,” Brian Glicklich, a representative for St. Clair, 26, said in a statement shared via X on Saturday, February 15.

“It is disappointing that a tabloid reporter, who repeatedly ambushed Ashley and her family, made it impossible to complete that process confidentially,” the statement continued. “We are waiting for Elon to publicly acknowledge his parental role with Ashley, to end unwarranted speculation, and Ashley trusts that Elon intends to finish their agreement quickly, in the best interests of the wellbeing and security of the child they share.”

Us Weekly has reached out to Musk for comment.

Elon Musk Welcomed 13th Child 5 Months Ago With Ashley St. Clair

On Friday, February 14, St. Clair announced via X that she allegedly gave birth to the Tesla founder’s 13th child.

“Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father,” St. Clair wrote. “I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child’s privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause.”

She continued, “I intend to allow our child to grow in a normal and safe environment. For that reason, I ask that the media honor our child’s privacy, and refrain from invasive reporting.”

The author, best known for her children’s books Elephants Are Not Birds, also wrote “Alea lacta Est” alongside the written statement on Friday, which translates to “The die is cast.”

Shortly after St. Clair’s social media announcement, Shivon Zilis — who shares three children with Musk — tweeted a picture of herself alongside the pair’s twins, Strider and Azure. (She reportedly welcomed their third baby together in June 2024.)

“Lil loves of my life,” the Neuralink executive, 39, posted. Musk, 53, commented on the post with a sweet emoji, to which Zilis responded back with her own heart emoji.

Everything Grimes Has Said About Raising Kids With Elon Musk

Musk also shares six children with his ex-wife, Justine Wilson. The pair were married from 2000 to 2008, and share twins Vivian and Giffin, both 20, and 18-year-old triplets Kai, Saxon and Damian. Musk and Wilson, 51, also shared a son Nevada, who died of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) when he was 10 weeks old.

Musk also shares three children with Grimes (real name Claire Boucher). Two years after the pair started dating in 2018, they welcomed son X Æ A-Xii in May 2020. A year later, they welcomed their daughter, Exa Dark Sidræl, via surrogate. The pair, who split in 2022, also share son Techno Mechanicus.

In a 2020 interview with The New York Times, Musk opened up about his coparenting relationship with Grimes, 36, telling the outlet that his now ex was in the driver’s seat.

“Well, babies are just eating and pooping machines, you know?” he told the outlet. “Right now there’s not much I can do. Grimes has a much bigger role than me right now. … When the kid gets older, there will be more of a role for me.”
In September 2024, Grimes sued Musk in regard to parental rights over their three children.

According to court documents obtained by Us, the “Oblivion” singer filed a “petition to establish parental relationship” in the Superior Court of San Francisco.

Saturday Night Live’s Lorne Michaels couldn’t be swayed to cut a sketch about Taylor Swift… even by the princess of pop herself.

In 2015, after the release of her hit song ‘Bad Blood” and it’s accompanying music video — which featured a slew of Swift’s famous friends including Hayley Williams, Gigi Hadid, Selena Gomez, Hailee Steinfeld, Karli Kloss, Lena Dunham, Mariska Hargitay, Ellen Pompeo, Cara Delevigne and Cindy Crawford — Lorne and the writers at SNL created a sketch highlighting the pop star’s so-called “girl squad.”

The sketch centered around a post-apocalyptic world controlled by Swift, 35, and her squad of loyal friends, suggesting that her group of Hollywood A-listers was actually an apocalyptic cult.

According to a new profile on Michaels, 80, in Vulture published on Tuesday, February 11, the SNL creator reached out to Swift to ask if she would be willing to make a cameo appearance in the skit.

“Michaels was in his office when Swift called him directly to say that not only would she not appear in the video, but she wanted Michaels to kill the sketch entirely,” the outlet reports, adding that Michaels allegedly “heard Swift out, but as he did he picked up a piece of popcorn from the basket on his desk.”

“Taylor, I do not negotiate with terrorists,” Michaels reportedly told the singer, before allegedly “tossing the kernel into the air and catching it with his mouth.”

The skit did air, and according to the outlet the following Monday Michaels “found flowers at his office with a note from Swift” that read “I hope there’s no bad blood.”

Swift has a long history with SNL, first appearing as a musical guest in 2009. Later that same year, she returned to host the show, when she famously called out her ex Joe Jonas, alleged boyfriend Taylor Lautner and Kanye West during her “Monologue Song.”

She most recently appeared on October 14, 2023, to introduce musical guest and BFF, Ice Spice.

In 2024, Swift commented on then-host Ryan Gosling’s playful version of her hit song “All Too Well.” During his monologue, Gosling poked fun at his character Ken in 2023’s hit movie Barbie. “Don’t worry, I’m not gonna make any jokes about Ken,” he said at the time. “Because it’s not funny. Ken and I … we had to break up. And for processing a breakup, there’s really only one thing that can help: the music of the great Taylor Swift.”

Swift was apparently pleased with Gosling’s version of her breakup song.

“All Too Well (Ryan and Emily’s Version) !!!” Swift wrote via her Instagram Story on April 14, alongside a clip of Gosling’s performance. “Watch me accidentally catch myself singing this version on tour,” she added. “This monologue is EVERYTHING.”

Drew Carey Reflects on His Sitcom's 30th Anniversary, What He Misses Most

10 February 2025 at 13:00

Drew Carey is looking back on the impact The Drew Carey Show had on his life and career, three decades after the series’ debut.

“I didn’t know how impactful it was, to me and my life,’ Carey, 66, exclusively told Us Weekly. “It helped me get a house and not have to worry about money anymore and all the things I ever wanted. When I was broke, I was able to take care of [things] thanks to The Drew Carey Show and the writers on The Drew Carey Show.”

The Drew Carey Show first aired on ABC on September 13, 1995, introducing the world to Carey and his arguably one-of-a-kind sense of humor. It also served as a launchpad for the comedian’s career, which has since included stints hosting two beloved game shows — Whose Line Is It Anyway? and The Price is Right.

“That got me Whose Line, which got me on a whole other career trajectory,” Carey told Us. “And yeah, it was just crazy – I remember the pilot barely getting picked up.”

Drew Carey Gets Candid on Price Is Right, Learning to Laugh Again and More

Carey went on to explain that on the day his team of writers submitted the pilot to the network, he was almost convinced the powers that be had passed on the show.

“Six o’clock came and went and I was like, ‘Well, it looks like we’re not going to get it,” he explained, adding that it wasn’t until 10-15 minutes later that they “got a call that we were going to be able to make a pilot.”

“After that we were like, ‘Oh, what is going to happen to the pilot?’ And then that barely got picked up, and then we just got picked up for a second season,” he continued. “It just seemed like we were eking our way [through] in the very beginning – just elbowing our way in. It was every person for themself. That’s a tough business — the TV business, and even the writing business. Nothing comes easy out here.”

Whether it was their time on set, working behind-the-scenes or simply grinding in the beginning to make The Drew Carey Show into what it ultimately became, the seasoned host and Marine veteran said he still remains close with many members of the cast.

“We text every once in a while, me and Kathy [Kinney] and Diedrich [Bader], and I see Ryan [Stiles] every once in a while when I do improv,” Carey said. “Yeah, we still keep in touch.”

He added, “Everybody was so great and we were like a family for all those years. We spent all these days together working in high pressure, high stress situations.”

Drew Carey Says Many 'Price Is Right' Contestants Show Up Drunk or High

The fast-paced environment of a television sitcom created a high-stress environment that also brought the cast and crew closer together, Carey adds — an environment he doesn’t necessarily miss.

“You’re always fighting the clock, you’re fighting yourself, you’re fighting fatigue — yeah, I don’t miss that part of it,” he explained. “But I do miss the [people]. It was a really good group of people to work with. All the writers were great. Yeah, I had a good time doing that. “

While Carey certainly misses working alongside his former costars, his admiration for the show and the people who made it possible doesn’t mean he takes regular trips down memory lane.

“No, I don’t like to watch myself on television,” Carey said when asked if he ever goes back and watches past episodes of The Drew Carey Show.

“Even as a kid, I didn’t like seeing myself [on video],” he added. “I just don’t like seeing myself moving around … I don’t like to watch myself on TV.”

Megan Fox has some big plans for her life after she welcomes her first child with ex Machine Gun Kelly.

“She has a renewed sense of confidence since being apart from MGK and after the baby she will be focusing on a career comeback,” a source close to the actress exclusively told Us Weekly. “The baby is the greatest gift to come from the relationship.”

Fox, 38, started dating MGK (real name Colson Baker) in March 2020 after meeting on the set of Midnight in the Switchgrass. At the time, Fox was married to Brian Austin Green. Months later in June, after Green announced the end of his 10-year marriage to Fox, Us confirmed Fox and Kelly were “officially dating.”

The pair got engaged in January 2022 and announced Fox was pregnant with their first baby together in November 2024. (Fox shares three kids, Noah, Bodhi and Journey, with her ex-husband. Kelly shares daughter Casie Colson Baker with his ex-girlfriend, Emma Cannon.)

The pair quietly split the same month Fox announced her pregnancy.

“She believes that while they may not have been meant to be together, she was meant to bring his child into the world,” the insider told Us of Fox’s feelings about her pregnancy and subsequent breakup. “Her children are her greatest blessing and far more important than any fleeting or destructive Hollywood relationship.”

The source added, “She is looking ahead with excitement, ready to welcome her baby and focus on the future.”

In the latest issue of Us, a source explained that the soon-to-be coparents “don’t talk at great lengths but have exchanged a few texts.”

“[She] doesn’t want to be in a relationship with him,” the insider continued. “MGK wants to get back together with Megan, but she’s told him she is done for good.”

How MGK and Megan Fox Are Coping With Split Amid Pregnancy

Shortly after the pair quietly split in November 2024, an insider told Us that in the midst of their relationship ups and downs the pair were “trying to make it work again after the pregnancy.”

“But they are both too hot-headed and fell back into their constant fighting,” the insider told Us at the time. “They can’t get on the same page and it’s not easy for them being together.”

That same month, a separate source told Us that Fox’s pregnancy was a non-factor when it came to the pair deciding to call it quits. Instead, the breakup was reportedly the result of deep-seated relationship issues.

Dick Vitale is officially back in the booth.

The iconic sports announcer — best known for lending his voice to NCAA’s men’s basketball — made his triumphant return to college hoops on Saturday, February 8 during the Duke-Clemson game at Clemson’s Littlejohn Coliseum in South Carolina.

The appearance marked the first game back for the color commentator since April 2023, and after he spent the last three and a half years battling four different types of cancer.

“Tonight, we celebrate the return of a true legend,” the in-arena announcer said in honor of Vitale’s return. “For over four decades, his passion, energy and unmistakable voice have defined the game we love. After a two-year battle with cancer, he’s back where he belongs — courtside, calling the action and inspiring us all.”

ESPN's Dick Vitale Has Cancer for a 4th Time: ‘I Will Win This Battle’

In 2021, Vitale received treatment for melanoma and lymphoma. After undergoing surgery for precancerous dysplasia and ulcerous lesions the same year, he couldn’t speak for four months. After he was declared cancer free in 2022, he was diagnosed with vocal cord cancer in 2023 and subsequently stepped away from announcing. In June 2024, the sports icon announced he underwent another surgery to remove cancerous lymph nodes from his neck.

In December 2024, Vitale announced that he was once again cancer-free.

“I want to say thanks to all the people,” Vitale said on Saturday while addressing the crowd, which honored his return by giving him a loud standing ovation. “The reception here has been really off the charts. I’m so sorry for being so emotional — I can’t tell you how excited I am to be here. This is like my Super Bowl.”

On Sunday, February 9, the Kansas City Chiefs face the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2025 Super Bowl in New Orleans, Louisiana.

“To be able to sit courtside and do a game, it beats the hell out of chemotherapy and radiation,” Vitale continued. “And I want to say to all cancer patients out there: Please, listen to me, think positive and have faith. And keep fighting and fighting. I know what you’re going through and it’s not fun.”

Not only has Vitale spent a better part of four years battling his own cancer diagnoses — he has also spent his time dedicated to raising funds for cancer research. In 2022, the 45-year ESPN veteran was honored at the ESPYs as the recipient of the Jimmy V Award for Perseverance, in honor of the former NC State men’s basketball coach Jim Valvano.

Valvano, who died in 1993 of cancer at just 47, was also Vitale’s good friend.

Devon Sawa Recalls Rick Moranis Going Through 'Family Stuff' on '90s Set

Devon Sawa Remembers Rick Moranis 'Going Through Some Family Stuff' on '90s Movie Set

Devon Sawa is recalling what it was like to work alongside beloved, retired actor Rick Moranis.

“He would come in and he would do his scenes, and he was a very kind man,” Sawa told People in an interview published on Saturday, February 8. “I think that he was dealing with some stuff during the shooting of that movie, so we didn’t see a lot of him.”

In 1994, Sawa — who at the time was a teenage heartthrob — starred alongside Moranis in the film Little Giants. The film happened to be one of Moranis’ final live-action roles after his wife, makeup artist Ann Belsky, passed away of breast cancer in February 1991. After Little Giants debuted in October 1994, Moranis famously walked away from acting to focus on being a single father to his daughter, Rachel, and his son, Mitchell.

“He would come in and he would do his scenes, and he was a very kind man,” Sawa continued. “I think that he was dealing with some stuff during the shooting of that movie, so we didn’t see a lot of him. [The child cast] were told that he was going through some family stuff. And so we were respectful of that.”

Stars Who Left Hollywood Behind: Cameron Diaz, Michael Schoeffling and More

In a 2015 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Moranis — best known for his roles in Ghostbusters, Little Shop of Horrors and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids — opened up about his decision to step out of the spotlight for the sake of his family.

“I took a break, which turned into a longer break,” he told the outlet at the time. “Stuff happens to people all the time, and people make adjustments, change careers, move to another city. Really, that’s all I did.”

He added, “I have absolutely no regrets whatsoever. My life is wonderful.”

Moranis went on to explain that at the time he was “working with really interesting people, wonderful people” when he decided to walk away from Hollywood.

“I went from that to being at home with a couple of little kids, which is a very different lifestyle,” he continued. “But it was important to me.”

Rick Moranis Attacked in New York City by Stranger

In 2020, The Hollywood Reporter announced Moranis was making his long-awaited return to acting for a reboot of Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, titled Shrunk.

“To say it is a dream come true to once again see #RickMoranis on the big screen is the understatement of the decade,” Josh Gad, who was scheduled to costar in the film, wrote via X at the time. “But to say, I get an up seat view of him returning to play one of his most iconic roles is the understatement of the Century. Welcome back hero!”

In 2023, Gad announced that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, scheduling issues and budgetary problems, the project was postponed indefinitely.

Ashanti Says She Wasn’t on ‘Best of Terms’ With Irv Gotti Before His Death

Ashanti is opening up about her relationship with Murder Inc. cofounder Irv Gotti in the wake of his recent death.

“I can’t believe things ended like this,” Ashanti, 44, said via Instagram on Friday, February 7. “And it makes me so sad…We weren’t on the best terms the past few years but as I’ve always said, through our ups and downs I will forever be grateful for everything that you’ve done for me. We made history and that will remain infinite.”

The R&B singer went on to say that she has “always respected” the Murder Inc. cofounder for his “musical genius and ability to push me to be my best.”

“All the greatness and positive things that came, far outweigh the dark and negative times,” she continued in the emotional post, which featured a photograph of Ashanti, Ja Rule and other members of the infamous record label.

“I have always prayed for you to find peace,” she added. “Sending love and prayers to your entire family. Rest well. Rest in Peace Irv.”

In 2022, Gotti infamously claimed he had an alleged romantic and sexual relationship with Ashanti during an appearance on the “Drink Champs” podcast. He later doubled down on his comments while appearing on an episode of “The Murder Inc Story,” claiming the pair had sex before the singer recorded her 2002 hit “Happy.”

In 2022, while appearing on the “IRL” podcast, Ashanti set the record straight regarding Gotti’s claims.

“Let’s clear this up,” she told Angie Martinez at the time. “We dealt with each other, but was Irv my boyfriend? Was I his girlfriend? Never. Irv had several girlfriends, so I’m a little confused by the label and the description.”

Ashanti went on to describe the producer as a “narcissist” who made their past relationship “into something big, and it’s really not that.”

Pregnant Ashanti and Boyfriend Nelly's Relationship Timeline

“[He’s turned into] a completely different person,” she continued at the time. “Irv has flat-out lied about a lot of things. It’s weird. It’s very weird when you know you’re lying and you just keep lying. That’s where it becomes a little scary and a little mental.

Gotti died at the age of 54, multiple outlets confirmed on Wednesday, February 5. The cause of death has not yet been reported, but hip-hop record executive and manager Wack 100 told TMZ in August 2024 that Gotti had suffered a stroke and was diabetic.

“Irv has been struggling with diabetes for years, which caused him to have a minor stroke over six months ago,” Gotti’s representative told the outlet at the time. “He has since changed his diet to eating more healthy. He’s been successful in making a full recovery. Irv is not in a rehab facility. He is at home with his family, enjoying life.”

Cameron Diaz Recalls Men's 'Inappropriateness' on Movie Sets Prior to #MeToo

8 February 2025 at 09:37

Cameron Diaz is opening up about her experience on movie sets prior to the #MeToo movement.

“The industry is so different. I definitely have to say that the #MeToo movement changed everything,” Diaz, 52, said during a Friday, February 7 interview on the “SkipIntro” podcast. “I mean, it’s palpable. You walk on to the set and it’s different.”

The actress went on to explain that “it wasn’t just the higher-ups” that were engaging in inappropriate behavior during the making of a film, adding that “there was always just that one guy you know on set.”

“All my girls, all my hair and makeup, they were ditching these dudes,” she continued. “There was always, like, layers and layers of inappropriateness. Some people, you have to be forceful with and put up the boundaries. Others, you can’t give the time of day. And it has changed — it’s not the same.”

Cameron Diaz Addresses ‘Crazy’ Jamie Foxx Feud Rumors

Diaz famously left the entertainment industry behind in 2014 to focus on her family and her organic wine business, Avaline. She made her triumphant return to the “big screen” 10 years later, starring alongside longtime friend Jamie Foxx in Netflix’s Back in Action.

On Friday, Diaz discussed how different the environment was on the set of her latest film.

“I never in my entire career had HR come in prior to a movie and talk about what is appropriate and inappropriate behavior, [or a] hotline, which Netflix has, to call anonymously to report any issues that you might be feeling,” she explained. “So I was like, ‘Wow, that is… that’s amazing.’ The level of security and safety that you feel as a woman now on set — I never have felt that before this film, because I haven’t been making movies.”

Cameron Diaz Says She's 'Just Trying to Stay Alive Like Every Other Mother'

In the same interview, the actress also discussed why she decided to return to acting — a decision she said hinged on her costar, Foxx.

“Honestly, it’s because I’ve worked with Jamie twice before and I just know him as a person and I know him as a professional,” she explained. “It’s such a tricky thing — going to work every day with somebody. Like, what are you going to get? The unknown is something I wasn’t interested in, sort of putting myself in that position.”

She added, “I haven’t done a film in 10 years. If I’m gonna go back to doing what I really was happy stepping away from, then who I do it with is really, really important, you know? And I knew what I was going to get with Jamie as a partner, as a professional [and] as a talent.”

Denzel Washington Nearly Bit His Tongue Off: ‘It’s Affecting My Speech’

Denzel Washington is opening up about his faith and how even a terrifying ordeal is impacting his ability to act in a positive way.

“I bit my tongue almost half-off a few months ago,” Washington, 70, told the Saturday, February 8 episode of “The Interview” podcast from The New York Times. “It’s affecting my speech. It forces me to slow down. I have to use it.”

Washington — who The New York Times named the greatest actor of the 21st century in 2020 — went on to explain how the medical mishap has impacted his upcoming role in Othello on Broadway alongside fellow actor Jake Gyllenhaal.

“I have a line: ‘Whither will you that I go to answer this your charge?’ It’s hard because my tongue is swollen,” he continued. “It has affected everything.”

Denzel Washington Reveals His Acting Advice to His Kids: ‘Get on Stage’

The Academy Award-winner also discussed how almost biting off his tongue served as a moment of reflection when it comes to his religious beliefs.

“That’s why you pray every day,” he explained. “I’m like, ‘OK, Lord, I’m here, I think this is what you wanted me to do.’ Now I’m not sure why [I bit my tongue], but one can say coincidence and serendipity and all those things.”

Washington didn’t clarify how he bit his tongue or if he received any medical treatment.

When asked if he believed his profession as an actor helped people, Washington again evoked his religious beliefs and how he sees the value of his work during what many perceive to be a difficult and tumultuous time.

Denzel Washington Does Not Win for 'Gladiator II' at the Golden Globes

“At this point, everything I’m doing is through the lens of what God thinks, not what they think. I don’t know what they think,” he said. “You go down that hole, you’ll never come out of that. When people say, ‘What do you want people to get from this movie?’ or ‘What do you want them to get from this play?’ I always say, ‘It depends upon what they bring to it.’ There’s some interesting themes [in Othello] of jealousy and envy and pain and death.”

He continued, “And Kenny, the brilliant director, he’s putting it in what he calls the near future. So all of those things — jealousy, envy — it takes on a whole new thing with the information age.”

In addition to relying on his faith when acting, Washington also touched on what it was like to act alongside Gyllenhall — who he called “complicated.”

“He’s nuts. I love him,” he said. “He’s complicated. But he’s already got a handle on it. I’m not worried about that, because I don’t like to learn the lines too soon. I was telling a young actor who asked, ‘Why don’t you like to learn them too soon?’ I said: ‘Because then I’m the voice I’m listening to delivering the cues to myself. I want to hear it from you, and that’s going to affect how I say what I say.’ For me, that works.”

‘RHOP' Star Gizelle Bryant on Karen Huger's DUI, Possible Jail Time

3 February 2025 at 14:09

The Real Housewives of the Potomac star Gizelle Bryant is opening up about Karen Huger’s DUI conviction and the possibility she could serve jail time.

“It’s sad. It really is sad,” Bryant, 54, exclusively told Us Weekly on Wednesday, January 29. “I mean, do I want to see her go to jail? Absolutely not. But do I want to see her take accountability? For sure. So, I don’t know. I mean, Karen going to jail, that would break my heart. So we’ll see.”

In December 2024, Huger, 61, was found guilty of driving under the influence after she was involved in a March car crash in Maryland. Additionally, she was found guilty of failure to control speed to avoid a collision, negligent driving and failure to notify authorities of an address change. She was acquitted of reckless driving.

Huger’s sentencing hearing was initially scheduled for January 29, but has since been postponed. She is now scheduled to receive her sentencing on Wednesday, February 26. She could face up to two years in prison.

RHOP’s Karen Huger Enters Recovery Program, Skips Reunion Taping

In early January, on the day the RHOP cast filmed their reunion, Huger announced via her rep that she had entered rehab.

“Karen made the important decision to enter a private recovery program, so was unable to attend the reunion taping today,” Ryan Tresdale, Karen’s manager, said in a statement. “We stand behind Karen as she embarks on this meaningful journey.”

Bryant told Us that she applauds Huger’s decision to get help, but only wishes that she would have entered rehab sooner.

“I think she should have done it — gone to rehab — right after the accident,” she said. “I think it actually would have helped her with her case.”

Bryant hasn’t spoken to Huger “since before we filmed the reunion” and “before she went to rehab,” she says, so she doesn’t know what her cast member’s mindset is as she prepares for sentencing.

RHOP’s Karen Huger Found Guilty in DUI Trial After Car Accident

“I think she realizes that she’s appreciative of the support, but as it relates to really understanding what she did and how that could have ended in such a more horrible way, I think she’s now starting to realize that,” she added.

When asked if perhaps it would have been in Huger’s best entrance to take this season of RHOP off, Bryant was adamant about her contribution to the reality show.

“No. No. Okay. We need Karen,” she said. “Yeah. Oh, no. We always need Karen. We do need Karen. Karen is too much fun.”

If her fellow castmate does end up incarcerated for two years, however, Bryant believes the series will find a way to carry on without her.

“I mean, she wasn’t at our reunion and we were fine,” she said.

Former NFL Star Julian Edelman Recalls Peeing on the Sidelines as a Player

2 February 2025 at 09:39

Former New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman is pulling back the curtain on NFL players’ rather unusual game day bathroom breaks.

When asked how professional football players go to the bathroom in the middle of the game, Edelman, 38, explained that desperate times call for desperate measures.

“Usually you go right on the sideline,” the former player exclusively told Us Weekly. “You’ll see two trainers that hold towels. You go right by the water cooler and you get on your knees, you pull your pants down [and] you go.”

According to the three-time Super Bowl champ, NFL team trainers are “really good” at helping players conceal their, um, selves when nature calls mid-game.

Julian Edelman Says 8-Year-Old Daughter Likes the Chiefs Over the Patriots

“Trainers are really good,” he explained, adding that it’s common for players to help hide themselves on the sidelines between a water station and a headset station.

“So you’re in between those two stations, and then two trainers will hold towels right next to you,” he continued. “They’re seeing everything, but the people aren’t.”

Edelman went on to joke that it “probably costs too much money for the NFL” to supply portable toilets for every team. (The average NFL team is worth roughly $6 billion.)

Edelman spoke to Us as he’s preparing to cover the 2025 Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles as a FOX Sports commentator — a first for the retired wide receiver.

“I’m very excited,” the athlete gushed. “I’ve done the Super Bowl, not as a player retired, but this will be the first [time] that I get to cover it with FOX. We have a three-hour kickoff show, which is super exciting. I love getting to work with the guys that we work with. And the ladies, Erin Andrews and Chrissa Thompson — it’s just been so much fun.”

Edelman also gave a shout-out to his former teammate and Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, adding that he “can’t wait to see Tom and hear his insight about the game” in part because he can provide “unique” commentary.

“No one can really speak of what Patrick Mahomes is doing right now, but Tom,” he continued. “So I think that’s going to be exciting.”

Julian Edelman Says Tom Brady Leaves Him on Read, Texts Like 'Grandparent'

Perhaps haunted by his sideline bathroom breaks, Edelman is equally excited for Angel Soft’s first Super Bowl commercial, specifically designed to be missed so football fans can take their own bathroom break before this year’s halftime performance.

According to Angel Soft, nine out of 10 people have admitted to missing something important because they were in the bathroom. (NFL players, however, are apparently immune.)

“They’re taking out a full commercial at the Super Bowl to allow all of us who are glued to the TV — because of the game and the commercials — to take a bathroom break,” Edelman explained. “A little angel — we don’t have her right here, but she’s such a cutie. It’s just a reminder.”

Notre Dame Football Head Coach Marcus Freeman Attends WWE Royal Rumble

2 February 2025 at 08:50

Marcus Freeman is certainly enjoying the NCAA football off-season.

The Notre Dame football head coach was spotted ringside at this year’s WWE Royal Rumble alongside his family, including his wife Joanna Freeman and at least a few of their six children: Vinny, 17, Siena, 12, Gino, 11, Nico, 9, Capri, 7, and Rocco, 6.

The family outing in Indianapolis comes just two weeks after Freeman, 39, and the Fighting Irish came up short in the College Football Championship game against Ohio State. While some may consider Freeman’s presence to be somewhat odd, the head coach is a reported lifetime fan of professional wrestling who grew up watching the WWE.

“I grew up watching it,” Freeman said during a media day ahead of the Championship game against Ohio, adding that he took his family to a Friday Night Smackdown event in Chicago in June 2024.

Notre Dame Coach Marcus Freeman’s Family Guide: Wife Joanna and 6 Kids

“I think at different phases you enjoy different things,” he continued. “When I was young, everything was real. You ended up idolizing the Hulk Hogans and Ultimate Warriors and all those guys.”

Freeman’s eldest son, Vinny, is a reported standout wrestler and football player at Penn High School, so the love of all things wrestling (and, you know, hitting people on a field or inside a ring) is a family affair.

“If we can get to a wrestling event and I can take my kids there, we try to,” Freeman continued. “Now it’s about seeing your kids happy. And if my kids want to go see wrestling, as a father I would try to do that.”

Freeman wasn’t the only headline-making star to sit ringside at this year’s Royal Rumble event — big names like Kurt Angle, Rick Steiner, John Mellencamp, Tyrese Haliburton, Kai Canet and O’Shea Jackson Jr. were also in attendance.

Notre Dame's Marcus Freeman Celebrated Bowl Win With His Entire Family

A WWE superstar returned inside the ring as well. Nikki Bella, who retired from full-time wrestling back in 2019, made a surprise appearance during the women’s all-out Royal Rumble. Wearing her iconic outfit featuring her backwards red hat, Nikki joined forced with her fellow wrestlers while inside the ring to try and defeat Nia Jax.

Nia Jax ultimately got the upper-hand and eliminated Nikki, before Charlotte Flair successfully secured the crown as the 2025 Royal Rumble women’s champion, securing herself a ticket to the 2025 Wrestlemania event in Las Vegas, Nevada.

As for Freeman, while he’s fresh off a championship loss — and the loss of Notre Dame’s defensive coordinator to the NFL – he still has plenty to celebrate. In January, Freeman received the American Heart Association’s Paul “Bear” Bryant Coach of the Year award, which recognizes his outstanding leadership and success after helping the Fighting Irish return to the national championship for the first time since 2003.
