Ryan Lochte is appreciative of the support he’s received following his split from wife Kayla Rae Reid.
“Just want to say thank you to everyone who wrote a message, reached out to me, just open arms. It means a lot to me,” the Olympian, 40, said in a video shared via his Instagram Story on Thursday, June 5. “Yesterday was a rough day for me, but like always in life, you gotta put one foot in front of the other and keep moving forward. So that’s what I’m doing.”
Lochte also thanked loved ones who sent him a thoughtful gift amid the tough time.
“To my second family that sent me this beautiful card and a basket full of candy that now my son is eating,” Lochte shared while holding up a nearly empty carton of Whoppers. “Thank you guys, I love you guys.”
Earlier this week, Reid, 33, announced that she filed for divorce from Lochte after seven years of marriage.
“Earlier this year, I made the hard decision to end my marriage after deep prayer and reflection,” she wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, June 4. “I hold marriage in the highest regard, so this has been one of the most painful, revealing and challenging seasons of my life. I’ve been hesitant to share until I could do so from a place of healing — not from fresh, open wounds.”

Reid continued: “Sometimes we face trials we didn’t choose or see coming. And in those moments, we’re forced to make the hardest decisions to protect our peace, our children and our future. I’ve come to understand that staying isn’t always the most loving decision someone can make. For me, leaving was an act of love — for those around me and myself.”
Lochte and Reid tied the knot in 2018. The pair share three children: Caiden, 7, Liv, 5, and Georgia, 23 months.
Following Reid’s post, Lochte broke his silence on their separation.
“This past year has brought major changes for both of us as we’ve come to the difficult decision to end our marriage. I’m deeply grateful for the life we’ve built together and especially for the love we share for our three children,” he wrote in an Instagram statement. “Although this decision hasn’t been easy, I believe it’s the right step toward peace and well-being for us both.”
Lochte added that he is “committed to healing, growth and coparenting with care and respect” as he and Reid navigate their “new chapter.”
DeSorbo, 32, shocked the world when she announced her departure from Summer House after seven seasons.
“Being a part of this show has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my life — the friendships, the drama, the giggles, all unforgettable,” she wrote via her Instagram Story on Thursday, June 5. “You’ve seen me grow up over these last seven summers. I’ll always be beyond grateful for the memories, the community, and the opportunities this wild ride has brought me. But like all good things (and some bad decisions), it’s time for this chapter to close.”
While some may only know DeSorbo for her time on Summer House and her relationship with exCraig Conover, fans know that she has a lot more up her sleeve. DeSorbo cohosts the “Giggly Squad” podcast with pal Hannah Berner. (Berner, 33, also appeared on Summer House from seasons 3 to 5.)
The duo launched their podcast in 2020 and it has taken off since. Last year, DeSorbo and Berner took their show across the country for their live show called “Giggly Squad Live: Club Giggly.”
DeSorbo and Berner didn’t stop there. Earlier this year, the pair published their first book, How to Giggle: A Guide to Taking Life Less Seriously. They also launched a web series titled Hannah & Paige Try New Things last month.
“Everything I’ve done in my career thus far — none of it did I think was going to happen,” DeSorbo said of her achievements in an interview with InStyle earlier this month. “I wasn’t seven, being like, ‘One day I’ll have a podcast.’ That wasn’t a thing. I didn’t think, ‘Oh, I want to be on the radio, writing a book, being on a reality TV show.’”
In addition to building her media empire, DeSorbo has ventured into the clothing brand world. The reality star has a sleepwear brand named Daphne in the works. Daphne is scheduled to drop on Tuesday, June 10.
When it comes to her brand, DeSorbo explained that she has a full hands-on-deck approach.
“Well, it’s my idea. I want to be fully involved in every single thing,” she explained to the outlet. “I haven’t missed a meeting. I’m in all the text threads. I’m the final decision-maker.”
DeSorbo isn’t stopping there. On top of her podcast and pajama line, she’s also an influencer. On her social media, DeSorbo has created fashion, beauty and lifestyle content. She’s partnered with brands like TRESemmé, Amazon and more.
“Thank you so much everybody. Be kind to yourself, be kind to each other. Don’t forget to go see Materialists,” Martin, 48, said to the crowd at Coldplay’s concert in Stanford, California per fan footage shared via social media on Sunday, June 1. “We love you! We’ll see you next time.”
Johnson, 35, stars in Materialists alongside Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal. The romcom is scheduled to be released on Friday, June 13.
Martin’s on-stage gesture came days before news broke of him and Johnson broke up after nearly eight years together. People reported on Wednesday, June 4, that the pair had called off their engagement. Us Weekly reached out to Martin and Johnson for comment at the time.
After news broke of their split, Johnson was spotted walking around New York City without her engagement ring.
Prior to their break-up, Martin and Johnson faced speculation about the status of their relationship. Johnson supported Martin during Coldplay’s summer 2024 tour. However, the actress raised eyebrows when she was spotted without her engagement ring while out and about in Los Angeles.
Johnson’s rep denied the rumors in an August 2024 statement to Us.
“The reports are not true. They are happily together,” the spokesperson said.
Earlier this year, things seemed like smooth sailing for the twosome. At the start of the year, Martin and Johnson were photographed holding hands in India. During their getaway, they were filmed participating in a religious ceremony at Mumbai’s Hindu House of Prayer Babulnath Temple.
Last month, Johnson and Martin had a rare public outing in Malibu.
Us confirmed Martin and Johnson began dating in December 2017 following the musician’s divorce from Gwyneth Paltrow. (Martin and Paltrow’s divorce was finalized in July 2016. The exes share two children, Apple, 21, and Moses, 19.)
Two years later, Johnson and Martin broke up. However, the duo ultimately rekindled their relationship after one month apart. A source told Us in August 2019 that Paltrow played a part in reuniting the couple.
“Gwyneth is the one who pushed them to do it,” a source said.
Us confirmed in March 2024 that Martin and Johnson were engaged.
“They absolutely plan on having Apple and Moses there, and they wouldn’t feel complete without inviting Gwyneth too,” a source said. “Dakota and Gwyneth have grown very close over the years and they consider themselves family at this point. One of the most important things to Chris is how beautifully Dakota fits into the lives of him and his children.”
Sabrina Carpenter has a message for boys in her new song, “Manchild.”
Carpenter, 26, dropped her latest single on Thursday, June 5. In the track, Carpenter talks about dealing with a man she doesn’t consider to be all that bright.
“You said your phone was broken, just forgot to charge it / Whole outfit you’re wearing, God, I hope it’s ironic / Did you just say you’re finished? Didn’t know we started / It’s all just so familiar, baby, what do you call it? / Stupid, or is it, slow? /Maybe it’s useless, but there’s a cuter word for it, I know,” Carpenter sings in the opening verse.
In the chorus, Carpenter confesses she has the worst luck when it comes to her love life.
“Manchild, why you always come a-runnin’ to me? / F*** my life, won’t you let an insane woman be? / Never heard of self-care / Half your brain just ain’t there / Manchild, why you always come a-runnin’, takin’ all my lovin’ from me?” she belts.
Before releasing the song, Carpenter sent a newsletter to her fans on Tuesday, June 3, which included a little tease.
“Oh boy … this is gonna be fun,” she wrote at the time (which, it turns out, is how she opens the track).
The same day, Carpenter took to social media to announce the song.
“This one’s about you!!” she wrote via Instagram. “‘Manchild’ is out this Thursday 6/5 8pm EST.”
The announcement also included imagery of Carpenter wearing cut off jean shorts and a white long sleeve button up expertly tied to show off her torso. In the snap, the singer stood in the middle of the desert and attempted to hitchhike.

Before the release of “Manchild,” many fans theorized the track would be about Carpenter’s ex-boyfriend Barry Keoghan. The pair sparked romance rumors in late 2023 and confirmed their relationship the following year. Keoghan, 32, appeared in Carpenter’s music video for her song “Please Please Please.” Their characters fell in love while serving time behind bars.
“I liked the idea of falling in love with a convict and being shocked and embarrassed every time he commits crimes,” the singer told Vogue of the video’s inspiration in June 2024. “I was sooo lucky to get Barry Keoghan in the video cause he is just magic on screen.”
Us Weekly confirmed in December 2024 that Carpenter and Keoghan called it quits after dating for nearly a year.
“It’s been challenging for their relationship since she started going on tour and has been gone a lot,” a source told Us at the time of what went wrong for the couple. “Their schedules were not aligning. All the time spent apart it was hard to maintain a relationship amid her career exploding.”
“I can only sit and take so much. My name has been dragged across the internet in ways I usually don’t respond to,” he wrote in an X statement at the time. “I have to respond now because it’s getting to a place where too many lines are being crossed.”
Keoghan explained that he ultimately decided to deactivate his account so he could focus on his “family” and “work.” The Saltburn actor is the father of son Brando, 2, whom he welcomed during a previous relationship.
“Absolute lies, hatred, disgusting commentary about my appearance, character, how I am as a parent and every other inhumane thing you can imagine, dragging my character and everything I worked extremely hard for and stand for,” he concluded.
Golden Bachelor alum Theresa Nist is giving fans a little glimpse as to how her love life is faring following her split from Gerry Turner.
“I absolutely do want to be in a relationship,” Nist, 71, said to hosts Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti during the Thursday, June 5, episode of the “Almost Famous” podcast. “And whether or not I’m in one right now, I’m not prepared to discuss.”
Higgins, 34, and Iaconetti, 37, were shocked by Nist’s impromptu confession and attempted to get the reality TV star to dish on some details. The former Bachelor asked Nist if it was “true or not true” she was dating, to which she replied “true.”
Iaconetti followed up to inquire how many dates Nist has been on with the mystery person — she noted it was “several.”
“Would you or would you not call each other girlfriend and boyfriend?” Iaconetti asked and Nist replied, “Oh my gosh, not yet.”
As for the pair’s last question on the subject, Iaconetti asked how Nist met the man, to which she revealed they connected via a “dating website.”
Bachelor Nation was first introduced to Nist during the inaugural season of The Golden Bachelorette, which aired in 2023. She ultimately won over the heart of Turner, 73, and got engaged in the season finale. The pair tied the knot during ABC’s live The Golden Wedding television special in January 2024. Months later, Turner and Nist announced they were getting a divorce.
Since her split from Turner, Nist has kept details about her love life low-key. When news broke in April that Bachelor in Paradise would be returning and including contestants from both Golden spinoffs, many fans thought Nist would be in the mix. However, Nist revealed on Thursday that she would not be on the series.
“The chronology of events was that I went through all the testing. I was already there, and they took the guys, and then I went back [to producers] and said ‘I really can’t do it,’” she recalled. “But then I actually went back and said, ‘OK, maybe I should give it a shot and then I didn’t get it.”
While Nist wanted to be on Bachelor in Paradise, she ultimately realized she was more excited to reunite with her friends from the show rather than find a love connection with one of the potential suitors.
“I kind of thought it just wasn’t really for me, and I really was so enthusiastic about it when it first came out,” she reflected. “I was talking about who I’d be interested in, and then I realized that I was really just excited about seeing the women and having a reunion and having a vacation with them. So I thought that wasn’t fair to make it about that, and I really didn’t want to go on and pretend or just make up something or make an alliance. And I thought I’d be much better off just watching it.”
Wendt died as a result of cardiac arrest, according to a death certificate from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, obtained by TMZ on Thursday, June 5.
The certificate listed congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease and hypertension as underlying causes of death for the Cheers alum. End-stage renal disease (also known as kidney failure) and hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol) also contributed to Wendt’s passing.
Wendt died in his sleep last month at age 76. He is survived by his wife, Bernadette Birkett, whom he wed in 1978, and their three children: Joe, Hilary, and Daniel.
“Beloved actor and comedian, George Wendt, best known for starring in the NBC hit comedy Cheers, has passed away,” a rep for his family told Us Weekly in a statement in May. “George’s family confirmed the news of his death early Tuesday morning, announcing he died peacefully in his sleep while at home. George was a doting family man, a well-loved friend and confidant to all of those lucky enough to have known him. He will be missed forever.”
Wendt was also the uncle of actor Jason Sudeikis. The Ted Lasso star paid tribute to Wendt during an interview with Kansas City’s KSHB 41 on Friday, May 31.
“With regard to my Uncle George, I mean, you know, there’s that old saying of ‘Don’t meet your heroes,’ and usually because they let you down is the back-half of that statement, but he’s not one of those people,” Sudeikis said at the time. “He’s as fun and kind and as warm as any character he played on television or in films and he … was an incredible influence to me, both as someone that blazed the trail, coming from the Midwest and teaching me that acting was a career you can actually have if you really care about it.”
While Wendt had an impressive acting career he was best known for playing fan-favorite Norm on Cheers. He starred on the sitcom alongside Ted Danson, John Ratzenberger, Rhea Perlman, Kelsey Grammer, Woody Harrelson, the late Kirstie Alley, Shelley Long and Bebe Neuwirth, During the show’s 11-season run, Wendt was nominated for six Emmys. Wendt’s death fell on the same day as the 32nd anniversary of Cheers’ series finale.
Following the news of Wendt’s death, several of his former costars paid tribute to their late colleague. Danson, who played the show’s beloved bartender Sam Malone, told Us in a statement that he is “devastated to hear that Georgie is no longer with us.”
“I am sending all my love to [his wife] Bernadette and the children,” the statement read. “It is going to take me a long time to get used to this. I love you, Georgie.”
Bindi Irwin had the most classic big sister reaction to brother Robert Irwin’s viral thirst traps.
“I will say there are some things as his sister that I can’t unsee,” the conservationist, 26, said while laughing during the Thursday, June 5, episode of Kylie Kelce’s “Not Gonna Lie” podcast. “When he did the Dancing [With the Stars] announcement, he was shirtless, and he recently did his Bonds commercial where he was in his underwear.”
She continued: “It is rough, I really want to be supportive. I really am so proud of him. He’s taking the message of conservation to new heights.”
Kelce, 33, added that when Robert, 21, was going viral on social media, she noticed there were varying reactions to him from different age demographics.
“The best part about it is that my algorithm showed me someone saying, ‘How disappointed he must be that there’s a group of people in the comments being like, oh my gosh I loved your dad,’” she recalled. “And that’s not the point.”
Bindi jokingly quipped, “That’s not the place!”
Kelce applauded Robert for using his online momentum to spotlight his family’s conservation efforts. Bindi agreed and shared that she spends more time on the side of the internet where he is “steering in the other direction” toward their nonprofit.
“It’s so cool watching him take the message, cause we have a charity called Wildlife Warriors,” she said. “Watching him grab people’s attention in a big way and then pivot and say ‘Here’s what we do, here’s our work, here’s our dedication to wildlife and conservation and you can get involved.’ It is wonderful and extraordinary to watch him shine.”
Bindi went on to say that she has a “mother hen” mentality when it comes to her brother.
“I’m trying to protect him, make sure he’s OK, and I’ve been that way his whole life,” she explained. “Now [I’m] just watching him shine and flourish and find his own path and voice. It is inspiring.”
Bindi admitted that she does get “a little bit scared” by the “intense” attention he gets from some supporters.
“It can be a lot. But he’s doing really well with all of it and I am very proud of him,” she said.
Robert has taken the internet by storm thanks to his modeling gig with Bonds underwear earlier this year. In April, it was revealed that he would be joining the cast of DWTS for season 34. During the official announcement, Robert walked out shirtless and holding a snake.
Last month, Robert exclusively opened up to Us Weekly about how he was faring with his newfound popularity online and revealed his DMs have turned into a “scary place.”
“I’ve been kinda sorta avoiding the direct message section for a little bit,” he explained. “The last couple months have been very eye-opening, that’s for sure. And I really thought in modeling Bonds underwear or doing Dancing With the Stars, that sort of thing, I could bring in a whole new audience to listen to my conservation message.”
Full house! While Robert De Niro is one of Hollywood’s most esteemed actors, he also takes pride in his role as the father of seven.
The Oscar winner became a parent in 1976 when he welcomed son Raphael with his first wife, Diahnne Abbott, whom he married after working on the film Taxi Driver together. The Raging Bull star also adopted Abbott’s daughter Drena from a previous relationship.
After splitting from the singer in 1988, De Niro moved on with Toukie Smith. The twosome welcomed twins Airyn and Julian via surrogate in 1995. One year after their twins’ arrival, the Godfather actor and the 227 alum called it quits.
De Niro casually dated after his breakup with the model, but he later settled down with Grace Hightower. The duo tied the knot in 1997, one year before the philanthropist gave birth to their son, Elliot. In 1999, the Intern star filed for divorce and sought custody of his fifth child. However, De Niro and Hightower rekindled their romance and renewed their vows in 2004. They later welcomed daughter Helen in 2011.
Their reconciliation didn’t last forever — De Niro and Hightower called it quits for good in 2018 after 20 years of marriage.
“Grace and I have two beautiful children together. We are entering a period of transition in our relationship, which is a difficult but constructive process,” the Golden Globe winner said in a statement to Us Weekly at the time.
Following his split from Hightower, the Irishman actor exclusively opened up to Us about navigating fatherhood with his big brood.
“I love my children, just being with them,” he gushed in April 2019. “ It’s not easy. Sometimes it’s fun and you love your kids, and sometimes you want to kill them! Then, when you have the good moments, you forget about the ones that weren’t good.”
Four years later, the Goodfellas star revealed he had secretly welcomed his seventh child. In a May 2023 interview with ET Canada, De Niro was asked about his “six kids” before clarifying the number. “Seven, actually. I just had a baby,” he replied. (The About My Father star was 79 at the time.)
Drena was born in 1971. She was adopted by the Meet the Parents actor five years later and took his last name. Drena followed in De Niro’s footsteps and became an actor. She’s had roles in several films, including Grace of My Heart, The Intern, A Star Is Born and more. In 2003, she welcomed a son named Leandro, making De Niro a grandfather. In July 2023, Drena announced Leandro's death at age 19.
De Niro and Abbott welcomed their first child together in 1976, the same year they exchanged vows. As an adult, Raphael went on to pursue a career in real estate. According to his website, he is a broker at Douglas Elliman and founder of The De Niro Team.
Raphael shares three children with ex-wife Claudine de Matos, to whom he was married from 2008 to 2015. He later moved on with stylist Hannah Carnes, and the pair tied the knot in March 2020.
Airyn and her twin brother, Julian, were born in October 1995. De Niro and Smith welcomed the twins via surrogate.
In April 2025, Airyn came out as a transgender woman in an interview with Them. In a statement, De Niro said, “I loved and supported Aaron as my son, and now I love and support Airyn as my daughter. I don’t know what the big deal is. I love all my children.”
In June 2025, he added of his daughter, “As long as they’re not hurting themselves, doing anything that’s destructive or anything like that, you have to support them. Period.”
The Meet the Fockers star became a father for the seventh time with the arrival of his and Chen’s daughter, Gia, in April 2023. De Niro was 79 at the time.
In May 2023, he told Page Six that Gia's birth was "planned."
“How you could not plan that kind of thing?” he added.
“There’s definite ways to influence you to want to do your best and stay on and so I think that somebody like me, for example, that backfires,” Chmerkovskiy, 45, exclusively told Us Weekly while promoting his new vodka brand Kápa. “Sometimes that competitiveness kicks in because on top of it, if I don’t keep making it week after week, I don’t get paid. And so now my time here becomes, like, ‘Now I’m wasting time.’”
Chmerkovskiy, who performed on the competition series as a pro for 15 seasons, added that it was his goal to make it to the semifinals to ensure he would get a “paycheck all 10 weeks.”
Throughout his time on the show, Chmerkovskiy made it to the finals five times. He took home his first and only mirrorball with Meryl Davis in season 18. While he finally got his win, Chmerkovskiy confessed he doesn’t remember if took home a bonus cash prize.
“I don’t think I had a bonus. Maybe I didn’t. I dunno,” he said. “The thing you know is how busy you are, how completely engulfed in the show you are. Especially at that time, I was under so much pressure to, like, ‘Oh, you have to win.’”
Chmerkovskiy added that while partnered with Davis, he felt extra competitive against Derek Hough who has won the competition series six times — and since become a judge.
“Then you look over and there’s Derek with one of his best, most memorable partners of all time and she’s been performing fantastic,” Chmerkovskiy said referring to Hough and Amy Purdy’s dynamic. “And so there were a lot of things to that season as well. But Meryl was an incredible partner. And I think I was also at that time already ready to go all the way in that type of partnership.”
While Chmerkovskiy recalled his personal experience, he acknowledged that he’s “not sure what current contracts are” but it appears to have “evolved” since the early days of the show.
“I don’t think [that’s] the case anymore. I think there are some guarantees,” Chmerkovskiy said of the dancers’ contracts.
However, he added that some pros could still have that competitive mindset that’s not fueled by the desire for a paycheck.

“But also some people welcome that too. Some people are like, look, my pro is just OK with stuff,” he told Us. “And they get upset [by] the fact that I wish I could have been paired with somebody who’s so driven because I need that stuff.”
Chmerkovskiy noted that he is the type of person who flourishes when he has strict guidance and he performs best with a partner who has a similar mindset.
“That’s why some of these types of partnerships work. I had some incredible partnerships with people who were a certain type today,” he reflected. “Honestly, it’s whatever they want. They want to push themselves. They want to have a great time. They want to be athletically inclined. They want it to be more of a showmanship. It’s whatever you want, but I just want you to have a fantastic time.”
Chmerkovskiy last appeared as one of the DWTS pros in season 25. However, he confessed that he’s asked back “every year” because of his connection to brother Val Chmerkovskiy, sister-in-law Jenna Johnson and wife Peta Murgatroyd.
“I think today I would come back,” he told Us of a potential return to the ballroom. “It doesn’t matter whether it’s to judge or to dance, I think it’s just fun to even be in this situation. Who would’ve thought there were moments in talk about reminiscing. There were moments in my journey with Dancing With the Stars that I’ve never thought that 20 years later I will be as part of it as I was.”
In addition to his ballroom career, Maks has ventured into the alcohol business and launched his new vodka Kápa. The spirit is available now, but Maks will make an appearance at Elsie’s Rooftop in New York City on Friday, June 6, to celebrate his new venture.
“It’s something that I’m proud of and most importantly, it’s bringing me back to New York City,” he told Us. “At the moment, [Kápa is] all over Manhattan and New Jersey and Brooklyn and surrounding areas. These are my stomping grounds.”
Maks shared that he is proud of what Kápa has accomplished so far because he’s never done anything like this before now.
“I come from a different industry. I do know sales a little bit. It’s also a different crowd,” he explained. “But being a father of three, a husband and all the duties that come with it, I now am of age and in that sort of demographic of like, this is for my people. This is for me to all of you. And it doesn’t have any bad stuff.”
A neighbor of Jonathan Joss is recounting the tragic final moments of his life after an alleged altercation in San Antonio, Texas, led to the actor’s death at age 59.
“John is ranting and raving and a car pass[es] by and stops in front of John,” the neighbor, who asked to remain anonymous, exclusively told Us Weekly. “John said ‘f*** you and f*** your wife’ to the guy in the car. The shooter never got out of the car.”
The neighbor’s 11-year-old child witnessed the shooting and the resident recalled hearing three “loud” shots fired. The neighbor claimed she “saw the shooter put his car in reverse.” After hearing the shots, the neighbor said she and her husband rushed outside to help Joss and provide CPR to save his life. However, the gunshot wounds to the left side of his neck and right side of his chest appeared to be too severe, she said.
“He was dying. You could see fear in his eyes. I kept saying ‘Stay here and stay with us, John’ and I could see his eyes shifting to try to stay alive,” the neighbor said. “It was so traumatic and I can’t stop thinking about it.”
While by Joss’ side, she asked the Parks and Recreation alum’s husband, Tristan Kern de Gonzales, why they decided to come back to the neighborhood. (Joss and Kern de Gonzales, hadn’t been living there because Joss’ house had burned down months prior.)
According to the neighbor, Joss’ husband, who was holding his wounded partner, said they wanted to check the mail for any victim’s compensation from the fire.
According to police reports obtained by Us, authorities received 66 emergency calls for service involving Joss’ address in the past three years, including on Sunday.
The police report related to the day Joss died cited a man named Sigfredo Ceja as the suspect who allegedly killed the actor. Ceja pulled up directly behind an unnamed witness who drove Joss to the property and “watched the interaction between them in her rearview mirror,” per the report. Ceja confessed to police he shot Joss.

People reported on Wednesday, June 4, that Ceja was released on bail $200,000 “special condition bond” one day after his arrest. Ceja was ordered by a judge to full house arrest and not purchase, possess, own or use any firearms.
Days after news broke about Joss’ passing, Kern de Gonzales took to social media, claiming Joss’ death was the result of a hate crime.
“My husband Jonathan Joss and I were involved in a shooting while checking the mail at the site of our former home. That home was burned down after over two years of threats from people in the area who repeatedly told us they would set it on fire,” read a statement shared via Joss’ Facebook on Monday, June 2. “We reported these threats to law enforcement multiple times and nothing was done.”
Kern de Gonzales claimed that he and Joss were the targets of “openly homophobic” harassment. While visiting their former home, Kern de Gonzales claimed they found “the skull” of one of their dogs and its harness which caused them “severe emotional distress.”
“We began yelling and crying in response to the pain of what we saw,” the statement continued. “While we were doing this a man approached us. He started yelling violent homophobic slurs at us.” (Despite the claim, San Antonio authorities said they have found no evidence indicating Joss’s murder was related to his sexual orientation.)
Kern de Gonzales claimed that the man raised a gun and fired it while he and Joss were weaponless. He shared that Joss pushed him out of harm’s way and “saved” his life. Kern de Gonzales was by Joss’ side in his final moments and told his partner “how much he was loved.”
“To everyone who supported him, his fans, his friends, know that he valued you deeply. He saw you as family,” the statement said. “My focus now is on protecting Jonathan’s legacy and honoring the life we built together. If your concern is how someone coped with trauma or how loudly they speak when recounting injustice and being ignored by authorities then you never truly cared about my husband. Jonathan saved my life. I will carry that forward. I will protect what he built.”
Tom Hanks addressed his daughter E.A. Hanks’ recent memoir where she recalled the tough moments of her childhood.
“There is a pride because she shares it with me,” the Oscar winner, 68, said in an interview with Access Hollywood while on the red carpet for his new movie The Phoenician Scheme on Thursday, May 29. “She’s very open about what the process is.”
Tom added that E.A. (real name Elizabeth Anne Hanks) has “always been” a “knockout” ever since she was little.
“If you’ve had kids you realize that you see who they are when they’re about 6 weeks old. Their personality is on display right there … their temper, the way they see the world is demonstrated in their body language and on their face,” he continued. “I’m not surprised that my daughter had the wherewithal as well as the curiosity as well as I’m going to say perhaps shoot herself in the foot kind of wherewithal in order to examine this thing.”
The actor shared that he thinks E.A. “was incredibly honest about” her life struggles.
“We all come from checkered, cracked lives, all of us. Despite the fact that part of it would seem as though she worked for some international well-known firm with a copyrighted last name,” he quipped. “She knows that and she leans into absolutely everything. I think anybody who does that is a bold journalistic literate mind and I’m just thrilled I can say the same thing about my daughter.”
E.A., 43, is Tom’s sole daughter whom he welcomed with first wife, Susan Dillingham. The exes were married from 1978 to 1987 and also share son Colin Hanks. Dillingham died from lung cancer in 2002 at age 49.
In E.A.’s book, The 10: A Memoir of Family and the Open Road, she opened up about life with her mom following her parents’ divorce. E.A. wrote that she believed her mother suffered from bipolar disorder. (Dillingham was never diagnosed with the condition.)
Tom and Dillingham’s custody arrangement included E.A. and Colin living with their mother and visiting their father and stepmother Rita Wilson on the weekends and throughout the summer. However, the arrangement was altered when Dillingham allegedly got violent with E.A.
“One night, her emotional violence became physical violence, and in the aftermath I moved to Los Angeles, right smack in the middle of the seventh grade,” she continued. “My custody arrangement basically switched — now I lived in L.A. and visited Sacramento on the weekends and in the summer.”
“I personally like Bethenny,” the SplitWell founder, 42, told Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra Judge on the Tuesday, June 3, episode of iHeartRadio’s “Two Ts in a Pod” podcast. “She’s always really nice to me.”
Teddi, 43, posed the question to Lisa since Bethenny, 54, made the recent move to Florida. Lisa noted that since the Real Housewives of New York City alum moved to the Sunshine State, she bumps “into her all the time.”
Tamra, 57, pointed out that Bethenny has a connection to the Magic City following her recent appearance at Miami Swim Week 2025.
“She walked that runway and that bikini,” Tamra gushed.
Lisa added that Bethenny looked “great” and “her body was banging.”
Bethenny strutted on the catwalk during the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway Show at W South Beach on Saturday, May 31. The former reality star showcased her toned physique in a bright pink-and-black polka dot bikini paired with a sheer black sarong. After reaching the end of the runway, Bethenny removed the sarong to reveal a tiny thong.
In addition to the bikini, Bethenny rocked a high-waisted leopard print one-piece as well as a denim two-piece paired with a cowboy hat.
Bethenny wasn’t the only personality to walk in the show. Athletes Ilona Maher, Livvy Dunne and Jordan Chiles, rapper Megan Thee Stallion, influencer Alix Earle and more also graced the runway.
Teddi asked Lisa on Tuesday whether she or anyone else from RHOM had been asked to participate. Lisa shared that she didn’t get asked this time but is hopeful to “get the call for next year.”
RHOM is returning for season 7 on Wednesday, June 11. In addition to Lisa, the Bravo series includes Alexia Nepola, Larsa Pippen, Julia Lemigova and Guerdy Abraira in the main cast. Marysol Patton, Adriana De Moura and Kiki Barth make appearances as friends of the Housewives. Season 7 will include newcomer Stephanie Shojaee.
The latest installment comes more than a year after season 6 wrapped up in March 2024. On Tuesday, Lisa gave an explanation for the show’s scheduling process.
“It’s just, like, the timing. They wanted to kind of move things around,” she said. “We were always filming during the summer, and that time to film in Miami it’s way too hot [and] hurricane season. You can’t really go outside.”
Lisa added that the weather “pushed everything back,” but when the show premieres, it’s “going to make sense timing-wise.”
“What’s the problem? Todd & I were cool before he ever had this legal issue,” the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, 49, wrote via X on Tuesday, June 3. “I’m happy that him & Julie are out of jail.”
She continued: “What y’all so pressed for? Me being happy for them has nothing to do with my political beliefs.”
Burruss’ remarks came after a fan posted a screenshot of her comment on Todd and Julie’s son Chase Chrisley’s Instagram page where he celebrated his parents’ return home from prison.
“God is so good! Our rocks are back!! Thank you to Mr. President @realdonaldtrump @potus for making a remarkable decision and bringing our family back together!” the caption read. “We love, support and thank you Mr. President! God Bless you and your entire family!”
Burruss replied, “Congratulations!!!!” with a red heart emoji.

Todd, 56, and Julie, 52, were pardoned by President Donald Trump last week following their 2022 convictions for bank fraud and tax evasion. In 2019, the Chrisley Knows Best stars were indicted on tax evasion, bank and wire fraud and conspiracy charges and were ultimately found guilty. They have always denied any wrongdoing.
Todd and Julie were both released from prison following the news. After being reunited with their family, Todd held a press conference alongside his and Julie’s daughter Savannah Chrisley. (Julie was not present because she wanted to be home with the couple’s 12-year-old adopted daughter, Chloe.)
“I want to thank first and foremost my lord and savior because that’s who got me through it,” Todd said during the press event. “[Savannah] has fought a long fight and for any parent to see their child fight this hard, it’s a double-edged sword. It’s a blessing and then your heart breaks because your child has been placed in that position. … I will always be grateful to [Savannah] from the bottom of my heart.”
Todd also confirmed that he and his family will be returning to reality TV. Savannah shared some additional details about the upcoming Lifetime project on her podcast.
“It’s going to be absolutely amazing because it follows us from beginning, middle to end,” Savannah teased. “It started with us explaining the case and having lawyers on, and the advocacy work, to [now] Mom and Dad getting full presidential pardons. … I’m so excited that they’re home, they’re going to be part of it, and we get our new start at life.”
Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s daughter, Gracie McGraw, publicly revealed that she is queer.
Gracie, 28, took to social media on Monday, June 2, to share a celebratory post in honor of Pride Month 2025, which lasts all of June, that read “Everyone get more gay now,” with multiple exclamation points.
“Happy Freaking Pride,” Gracie wrote via her Instagram Story. “I love being queer.”
This is the first time Gracie has publicly addressed her sexuality. Tim, 58, and Hill, 57, have yet to publicly react. However, Hill has publicly supported the LGBTQIA+ community in the past, including when fellow country singer Chely Wright came out.
Gracie is the eldest daughter of the country music legends. In addition to Gracie, the couple, who tied the knot in 1996, also share daughters Maggie, 26, and Audrey, 23.
Earlier this year, Tim took to social media to pay tribute to Gracie in honor of her birthday.
“Can’t believe this little bit turns 28 today! Happy birthday to our Gracie! You are a light in this world my sweet girl,” the Grammy winner wrote via Instagram in May alongside a throwback snap of him and his daughter. “So much heart, soul, respect and yes LOADS of talent!!! We hope you have the best day ever and know that you are loved beyond measure! I love you my little girl.”

Like her parents, Gracie has followed in their musical footsteps. She previously showed off her talent when she posted a cover of Barbra Streisand and Barry Gibb’s “What Kind of Fool” via her dad’s Instagram in August 2019.
“PIPES!!!!!! …… Dang, this girl can sing!” Tim captioned the post.
In addition to singing, Gracie also acts. Earlier this year she was cast in The Great War & The Great Gatsby at Carnegie Hall and took the stage in April. Both of her parents were in attendance on opening night.
Gracie isn’t the only one of her siblings who inherited their parents’ pipes. Both Maggie and Audrey also sing. Audrey was announced as the opening act for Brandi Carlisle’s upcoming The Lost Time tour.
Tim previously teased that his daughters prefer to sing with their mom over him.
“I’d love to do a song with all five of us at some point. I talk about it all the time and they’re like, ‘I ain’t singing with you, Dad,’” Tim said in an August 2023 interview with Entertainment Tonight. “They’ll sing with mom, but I’m probably not up to par with the rest of them. I’m the worst singer in the family.”
16 and Pregnant alum Whitney Purvis is reflecting on her favorite memories with 16-year-old son Weston Jr. Gosa before his tragic death.
“I will always cherish our memories together,” Purvis wrote via Instagram on Tuesday, June 3. “The songs you [used] to love, your laugh, the phases you would go through, the little dolphin noise you [used] to do when you were younger, your smile, your jokes, the first day of school, playing with you, your first time swimming, making crafts, how you would dance in your crib to the law and order svu theme song, being a great big brother, the first time I held you and the last hug I gave you.”
The post featured two snaps of Purvis and her eldest son. The first was a photo taken while the duo were out to eat while the second was a throwback selfie from when he was a baby.
“I love you Weston more than words could ever describe. Rest in peace, my beautiful boy,” she concluded.
Purvis announced on Monday, June 2, that Weston had died unexpectedly.
“This is so hard to write. My beautiful son, Weston, has passed away. He was only 16 years old. Life is so cruel and unfair,” she wrote via Facebook. “I just don’t understand. Oh my baby is gone and I don’t know what to do with myself. He was so perfect. This is really my worst nightmare come true. How do you go on in life after losing a child? I’m in disbelief, this cannot be happening. I don’t want it to be real. I would do anything just to hold him. Words just can’t describe the pain I am feeling.”
An official cause of death has yet to be determined. Weston’s stepmom, Amy Gosa, shared via Facebook that the family attempted to wake Weston up only to discover he was “not breathing.”
“We attempted CPR and called an ambulance. The paramedics attempted it as well and took him to the hospital in Gordon County where he was pronounced dead,” Amy wrote. “He had several health issues as well as diabetes. We are completely heartbroken and in shock. It was so unexpected.”
Amy added that “losing a child is the most painful thing” she has “ever experienced.”
“He was the most amazing son I could have asked for. He was brilliant, smart, funny and had so much potential in life. It doesn’t feel real,” she continued. “Please keep our family and Whitney in your thoughts and prayers as we mourn such a brilliant amazing life that was our son.”
Mia Sara stepped out in style for a rare red carpet appearance for her new movie after taking a hiatus in 2013.
Sara, 57, attended the Los Angeles premiere of her film The Life of Chuck on Monday, June 2. The actress stunned in a black wrap top and navy pencil skirt.
In addition to walking the red carpet solo, Sara also posed for multiple group shots with her costars. The Life of Chuck, which was helmed by Mike Flanagan, also stars Tom Hiddleston, Benjamin Pajak, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Mark Hamill, Kate Siegel, Karen Gillan, Carl Lumbly, Annalise Bass and more.
Sara got her start appearing on the soap opera All My Children. However, she is best known for her breakout role in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, where she starred opposite Matthew Broderick and Alan Ruck. Sara played Ferris’ (Broderick) girlfriend, Sloane Peterson.
Following her role in the classic comedy, Sara went on to star in the 1987 miniseries Queenie. She appeared in 1994’s Timecop which earned her a Saturn Award. Sara also played Dr. Harleen Quinzel — also known as Harley Quinn — in the 2002 DC series Birds of Prey.
In 2013, Sara decided to step out of the spotlight and take a break from acting. During that time, Sara pursued her passion for writing. She was featured in a variety of literary journals including The Superstition Review, Helix, The Summerset Review, PANK, The Write Room and more.

More than a decade later, Sara paused her acting hiatus to join The Life of Chuck. The film, which is based on a novella written by Stephen King, follows the life events of Charles “Chuck” Krantz (Hiddleston) as it is told in reverse chronological order. Sara plays Chuck’s grandmother Sarah and she primarily worked with Pajak and Jacob Tremblay — who portray the younger versions of Chuck — and Hamil, who plays her husband.
Sara revealed that she was inspired to give acting another go after having the desire to work with Flanagan on a project — especially when she and husband Brian Henson became big “fans” of his 2021 Netflix horror miniseries Midnight Mass.
“We met socially, he and the magnificent Kate Siegel, and he just said, ‘Well, don’t you ever really want to work again?’ ” Sara said in an interview with People published on Tuesday, June 3. “And I said, ‘Oh, I don’t know.’ He said, ‘Well, what if I offered you something?’ I said, ‘Well, okay, if you offer me something, I’ll do it.’”
Mariska Hargitay is on a quest to learn more about her parents in her upcoming documentary, My Mom Jayne.
“I’ve spent my whole life distancing myself from my mother,” the Law & Order: SVU star, 61, said in the official trailer for My Mom Jayne, which dropped on Tuesday, June 3. “Jayne Mansfield, the sex symbol.”
Mansfield was best known for being an actress and Playboy model. In the HBO doc’s trailer, a throwback clip showed Mansfield explaining that she used her “pinup-type publicity” to get her “foot in the door.”
Hargitay’s mother died in a car accident in 1967 at age 34 when Hargitay was just a toddler, so the actress grew up not knowing her mom. Instead, all she had was the public image of her — which Hargitay distanced herself from.
“Her career made me want to do it differently. But I want to understand her now,” she explained. “I was 3 years old when my mom died and I don’t have any memories of her. And then my dad died in 2006. I’ve never talked to my siblings about their experiences.”
Mariska has two older brothers, Miklós “Mickey Jr.” Hargitay and Zoltán Hargitay. She also has two half-siblings, Jayne Marie Mansfield and Antonio “Tony” Cimber on her mother’s side. (Mariska also has a half-sibling named Tina Hargitay from her dad Mickey Hargitay’s first marriage).
In the documentary, Mariska sits down with her siblings to discuss their experiences with Jayne.
“You have all these memories and I’m envious of that,” Mariska told her older sister, who was 16 when their mom died.
Jayne Marie added, “In the beginning, I had her to myself. She’d take me everywhere.”
When addressing their mother’s public persona, Mickey Jr. acknowledged it was an act and he knew that Jayne was more than just what she let the world see.
“I looked the other way because I knew she was really smart,” Mickey Jr. said.
Mariska then appeared to broach the subject of her recent learning that Mickey was not her birth father. (Earlier this year, Mariska revealed that her biological father is Italian singer and comedian Nelson Sardelli.)
“Something I’ve also realized is keeping a secret doesn’t honor anyone,” the actress said in a voiceover.
Mariska can later be seen having an emotional moment with one of her brothers as they comfort each other in a tight embrace. The camera then panned to the Emmy winner and her siblings headed to what appeared to be a garage.
“Reclaiming our family story. That is what this is about for me,” Mariska said. “Because she is a part of me. I want to know her as Jayne. My mom Jayne.”
In addition to appearing in the documentary, Mariska worked behind the scenes as the project’s director and producer.

Cashmyer was featured on season 5 of 16 and Pregnant, which aired in 2014. She gave birth to daughter Genevieve. One year after her episode aired, Cashmeyer signed away custody rights to then-boyfriend Derek Taylor‘s mother. She welcomed her second daughter, Lyla, in June 2021. Following her time on reality TV, Cashmyer was arrested for drug possession multiple times.
In January 2022, Us confirmed that Cashmyer died at age 26. It was later revealed that her cause of death was from fentanyl, despropionyl fentanyl and cocaine intoxication. It was not determined whether it was an intentional or accidental overdose.
Her father, Dennis M. Cashmyer Jr, shared a heartbreaking tribute in her honor.
“Last night I received a call no parent ever wants,” Dennis shared via Facebook alongside a black and white photo of the MTV alum at the time. “My oldest beloved daughter, Jordan has passed away, she was only 26 years old. Our hearts are truly broken. No parent should ever have to go through losing a child, EVER.”

Us confirmed in July 2024 that Crittendon, who shared son Drake with ex Dustin Franklin, died at age 27. Her death is under investigation.
TMZ reported that Crittendon’s stepfather found her unresponsive in her bedroom and when the paramedics arrived at the scene they administered CPR. Crittendon’s older sister, Misty, shared the news in a since-deleted Facebook post.
“You were robbed of your life at such a tender age, you left before anyone could tell you goodbye.. how much we love you,” Misty wrote per In Touch. “How amazing you are and how proud we are of you for staying sober through some of the toughest parts of your life, how far you’ve came from where you were, how thankful we are to have had all these years with you, how proud of you we are as a mother, how grateful we are for the 3 tiny parts of your heart that are still walking this earth.”
Whitney Purvis confirmed the death of her son Weston Jr., whom she shared with ex Weston Gosa, in June 2025. He was 16.
“This is so hard to write. My beautiful son, Weston has passed away,” Whitey wrote via Facebook at the time. “He was only 16 years old. Life is so cruel and unfair. I just dont [sic] understand. Oh my baby is gone and I don’t know what to do with myself. He was so perfect. This is really my worst nightmare come true.
Whitney, who gave birth to Weston Jr. during season 1 of the show, did not confirm a cause of death. However, Weston Jr.’s stepmom, Amy Gosa, shared insight into his passing, revealing via Facebook that she discovered the teenager was “not breathing” when trying to wake him up earlier that morning.
“We attempted CPR and called an ambulance. The paramedics attempted it as well and took him to the hospital in Gordon County where he was pronounced dead,” Amy wrote. “He had several health issues as well as diabetes. We are completely heartbroken and in shock. It was so unexpected.”
UPDATE: 6/3/25 at 2:27 p.m. ET: One day after Blake Lively stated that she has no plans to drop claims of emotional distress against Justin Baldoni, the judge appointed to their ongoing legal dispute ruled that the issue is officially dead.
Judge Lewis Liman wrote in a letter obtained by Variety on Tuesday, June 3, that Baldoni’s motion to compel is denied “based on Plaintiff’s representation that the relevant claims will be withdrawn.” (Us Weekly has reached out to Baldoni’s team for comment.)
Baldoni and Lively’s respective legal teams have been going back and forth regarding the emotional distress issue after her initial claims were made. Baldoni’s team hit back with the now-denied motion to compel, attempting to force Lively to reveal her medical records.
Tuesday’s ruling denied the motion while also shutting down the possibility of Lively deciding to turn around and submit her medical records.
“The parties shall stipulate to whether the dismissal is with or without prejudice, or Lively shall renew her request by formal motion,” Liman’s letter read. “For avoidance of doubt, if the claims are not dismissed, the Court will preclude Lively from offering any evidence of emotional distress.”
Lively’s lawyer’s Esra Hudson and Mike Gottlieb offered a statement to Us following the ruling.
“The court denied Wayfarer’s motion. He told the parties to continue their discussions about the technicalities of how 2 of the 15 claims will be voluntarily dismissed. Ms. Lively has offered to dismiss those claims because they are no longer necessary, and she will continue to pursue emotional distress damages through other claims in her lawsuit, including sexual harassment and retaliation,” the statement read. “In addition, the Baldoni-Wayfarer strategy of filing retaliatory claims has exposed them to expansive damages under California law. This is exactly where both parties were before the Baldoni-Wayfarer Parties rushed to file this utterly pointless motion to compel, all searching for yet another press moment.”
According to a letter to Judge Lewis J. Liman obtained by Variety on Monday, June 2, Lively, 37, is attempting to withdraw claims of intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligent infliction of emotional distress against Baldoni. The decision came after Baldoni’s legal team sought Lively’s medical records as part of discovery.
“Instead of complying with the Medical RFPs, Ms. Lively’s counsel recently advised us, in writing, that Ms. Lively is withdrawing her [infliction of emotional distress] Claims,” Baldoni’s team stated in the filing. “However, Ms. Lively has refused the Wayfarer Parties’ reasonable request that the withdrawal of such claims be with prejudice. She is only willing to withdraw her claims without prejudice. In other words, Ms. Lively wants to simultaneously: (a) refuse to disclose the information and documents needed to disprove that she suffered any emotional distress and/or that the Wayfarer Parties were the cause; and (b) maintain the right to re-file her IED Claims at an unknown time in this or some other court after the discovery window has closed.”
Per Variety, Baldoni’s lawyers want Lively to sign a HIPAA release for access to therapy notes and other relevant information.
“By alleging that she suffered physical and emotional injuries, Ms. Lively has placed her physical and mental condition at issue and, in turn, must produce relevant information and documents [including] psychiatric records,” the filing stated. “In other words, Ms. Lively has waived any doctor-patient privilege.”
Lively’s lawyers Esra Hudson and Mike Gottlieb, however, denied Baldoni’s team’s claims in a statement to Us Weekly.
“Once again this is a routine part of the litigation process that is being used as a press stunt. We are doing what trial lawyers do: preparing our case for trial by streamlining and focusing it; they are doing what they do: desperately seeking another tired round of tabloid coverage,” the statement read. “The Baldoni-Wayfarer strategy of filing retaliatory claims has exposed them to expansive new damages claims under California law, rendering certain of Ms. Lively’s original claims no longer necessary. Ms. Lively continues to allege emotional distress, as part of numerous other claims in her lawsuit, such as sexual harassment and retaliation, and massive additional compensatory damages on all of her claims.”
Lively and Baldoni’s legal issues began in December 2024. Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, accusing her It Ends With Us director and costar of sexual harassment, creating a hostile work environment and orchestrating an alleged smear campaign against her.
Baldoni has denied the allegations. He subsequently filed a $400 million lawsuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds and their publicist Leslie Sloane, accusing them of civil extortion, defamation, false light invasion of privacy and more. They have denied the claims and requested for the lawsuit to be dismissed.
Shiloh, 19, appeared at the launch of Isabel Marant’s capsule collection with Net-A-Porter on Thursday, May 29, in Los Angeles. According to a press release obtained by Page Six from the event, Shiloh was listed as “Shi Joli.” The name is a shortened version of her legal name that pays homage to her mother.
At the event, Shi was credited as a choreographer for an original dance number. The routine was performed by Keoni Rose and Tako Suzuki to singer-songwriter Luella’s new song “Naïve.” Alison Brie, January Jones, Rachel Bilson and more stars were in attendance for the event.
Shi’s new moniker comes nearly one year after she filed paperwork to drop her dad’s last name and legally go by Shiloh Jolie. In May 2024, Shi made the legal request on her 18th birthday. A source told Us Weekly at the time that Shi “hired her own lawyer and paid for it herself.”
In August 2024, Us confirmed that Shi’s name change request was granted. (Her full name was previously Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt.)
In addition to Shi, Pitt, 61, and Angelina, 49, share Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 20, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16. Shi isn’t the only one of her siblings to drop Pitt as a surname. Zahara publicly introduced herself using only her mother’s last name when she joined the sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha at Spelman College.
“My name is Zahara Marley Jolie,” she said in a video shared by Essence in November 2023. “Coming all the way from the Golden State in the city that is full of angels, Los Angeles, California. … I am this line’s No. 7.”
In May 2024, Us confirmed that Vivienne was credited as Vivienne Jolie in the Playbill for the Broadway play The Outsiders. Vivienne worked as a production assistant on the show, which was produced by Angelina. It is unclear whether Zahara or Vivienne legally changed their names.
Shi, Zahara and Vivienne’s new moniker debuts came amid their parents’ divorce. Pitt and Angelina, who tied the knot in August 2014 after nearly a decade together, split in September 2016. Three years after the actress filed for divorce, the pair were declared legally single.
“More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt. She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family,” Jolie’s lawyer James Simon told Us in a statement. “This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over.”
Last month, Pitt broke his silence on the split. When asked if he felt “relief” now that his split drama has come to an end during a May interview with GQ, Pitt responded, “No. I don’t think it was that major of a thing. Just something coming to fruition. Legally.”
