Allison Holker’s Daughter Claims tWitch’s Family Ruined Funeral Over NDAs

11 January 2025 at 10:14

Stephen “tWitch” Boss’ 2022 funeral reportedly sparked family tensions over the use of nondisclosure agreements.

Two years after Boss died by suicide at the age of 40, several of his relatives and friends claimed that widow Allison Holker allegedly forced them to sign NDA documents in order to attend the service.

“We all had to sign some weird NDA to attend his funeral — even his own mother who you’ve treated like garbage this entire time,” So You Think You Can Dance alum Courtney Platt, who competed alongside Boss on season 4 before they both returned as All-Stars in season 7 alongside Holker, alleged via Instagram earlier this week. “Let’s just remember you wouldn’t have even had a husband if it wasn’t for her.”

Holker’s daughter Weslie, 16, responded to Platt’s claims, asserting that there was more to the story and explaining why the NDAs were requested in the first place.

Allison Holker's Daughter Defends Her, Says tWitch 'Literally Raised Me'

“Y’all love to argue about the NDAs,” Weslie said in a Friday, January 10, Instagram video. “But in one day, we had an open casket viewing for Stephen. We had a funeral, and then we had a week, and my mom asked for NDAs to be signed when we were seeing Stephen’s body because God forbid somebody that went to that took a photo of Stephen and put it on the internet or shared it with somebody else. That’s the type of thing that NDAs are for. It’s not so you can never talk about Stephen.”

Weslie further praised Holker, 36, for deciding to ask family members and friends to sign NDAs prior to the service.

“NDAs are so important, and if you guys don’t agree, that’s cool,” she added. “I’m grateful for my mom making sure that everybody signed NDAs, and she put up that rule.”

According to Weslie, her mom was ultimately “lenient” with the NDA request that allegedly allowed Boss’ loved ones to attend the funeral.

“She understands at the end of the day, like, this is family,” Weslie said. “So y’all want to disrespect her [while] she’s still nice, she’s still kind, she’s still forgiving, but you have to know, like, even when Stephen was alive people that attended our events, they would have to sign NDAs. But now, just because it’s my mom handing the paper, it’s different.”

She added, “That whole day was supposed to be beautiful, and instead, it was less than that. We were gonna say our goodbyes, and instead, people were yelling at each other and bashing my mom and, like, that’s a day that’s taken away from her. She can’t remember it as being the day that we all wanted to be because his family was making it otherwise.”

Boss is survived by his parents, siblings, Holker and their children. In addition to Weslie, the two dancers shared Maddox, 8, and Zaia, 5. (Weslie is Holker’s daughter from a previous relationship, claiming on Friday that Boss never legally adopted her despite “literally raising” her since she was a toddler.)

Holker recently wrote her This Far memoir about her life and marriage to Boss, which prompted online criticism that she publicly disclosed Boss’ addiction struggles and excerpted his personal diary entries. Members of Boss’ family and other friends condemned Holker for allegedly trying to profit off his death, but she denied the claims and explained that she only wanted to further shine a spotlight on the prevalence and danger of substance abuse and mental health issues.

Weslie also denounced the accusations that her mom is “money hungry” or seeking “more fame.”

“That’s not how my mom is. Trust me when I say my mom is good —  she doesn’t need [money],” Weslie stated. “It’s just disappointing. … My mom’s made her efforts [with his family]. She’s tried for as long as she could, but this is the kind of turning point where it’s like, this stops like, it’s beyond, just like, trying to maintain a relationship now it’s like y’all burn bridges and literally it’s OK.”

Socialite Candice Miller Rebuilding Her Life After Husband's Death: Report

11 January 2025 at 09:46

Candice Miller is reportedly finding a way to move forward with her life six months after her husband Brandon Miller’s untimely death.

The former mommy blogger is said to be attending parties, various events and dinners after resettling in Miami Beach, Florida, according to a Page Six report published on Saturday, January 11. Two friends claiming to be close to Candice, 42, told the outlet that she has been seen attending workout classes and does not reportedly give the appearance that anything is wrong or awry, according to the same report.

Candice’s husband, Brandon, unexpectedly died in July 2024. His death was later ruled a suicide. Candice and Brandon got married in 2009 and later welcomed two daughters.

“Candice is devastated by the loss of her soul mate, and her two young daughters’ lives are forever impacted by the loss of their beloved daddy,” a spokesperson for the family said in a statement to the New York Times shortly after Brandon’s death.

Candice Miller Reportedly Auctioning Off Belongings After Husband's Death

Candice and Brandon were best known for showcasing their seemingly extravagant lifestyle online via the mother of two’s now-defunct “Mama & Tata” blog and Instagram account. In the former posts, Candice would highlight the family’s various trips on multi-million dollar yachts, private jets, and more.

But in the wake of Brandon’s death, court papers obtained by The New York Times in December 2024 revealed that the late real estate mogul was $33.6 million in debt at the time of his passing. According to Candice, her husband died without a will, leaving her in massive debt and, according to the social media star, only $8,000 in her bank account.

As Us Weekly previously reported, Candice “initially deactivated her social media following” following Brandon’s death, and in court papers obtained by The New York Times, claimed she owed $20 million in unsecured loans from various banks.

That same year, Candice was also sued for $195,000 in unpaid rent on the couple’s Manhattan condo. Documents obtained by Us at the time claimed that the influencer had failed to pay, while lawyers for Candice argued she was not responsible for the payments because her name was not on the apartment’s lease.

'Mama & Tata' Creator Allegedly in $33.6 Million Debt Since Husband's Death

Earlier this year, Candice reportedly started auctioning off her husband’s belongings, according to a Page Six report published on January 3. According to the outlet, multiple items were listed on the website Auction Ninja, which featured “an exclusive curated online auction” sale at the Mecox Bay Water Mill Estate.

“The auction features a carefully selected collection of fine art, furniture, decor, and bespoke pieces that were part of the home’s decor, providing an exclusive chance to own a piece of this stunning, meticulously crafted living space,” an online description of the auction items reads. “For collectors and design enthusiasts, this is an unmissable opportunity to acquire rare, beautifully curated items with the unique touch of a celebrated designer.”

According to the Saturday report from Page Six, Candice is not shopping regularly but instead living a relatively quiet life when compared to her former, luxurious online persona. She was reportedly out on Halloween with her children, and while her life has exponentially changed she has also reportedly not changed — just living a low-key, quiet life.

The report also describes Miami as the perfect place for Candice to start over, in part because it is filled with people who will accept the former social media influencer.

Paul Feig Addresses Rumor 'Simple Favor 2' Was Scrapped Due to Blake Lively

Paul Feig Shuts Down Rumors 'A Simple Favor 2' Was Canceled Amid Blake Lively's Lawsuit: 'Total BS'

Blake Lively’s upcoming A Simple Favor 2 hasn’t been canceled amid her ongoing legal battle, according to the film’s director.

Paul Feig responded to online rumors on Friday, January 10, that film studio Amazon decided to shelve the project indefinitely as a result of Lively’s lawsuit against her It Ends With Us costar Justin Baldoni.

“This is total BS. Sorry. The movie is finished and coming out soon,” Feig, 62, wrote via X. “Don’t believe anything you read on social media these days.”

In a follow-up post, Feig praised Lively and costar Anna Kendrick for their work on the project.

‘A Simple Favor’ Director Defends Blake Lively Amid Justin Baldoni Lawsuit

“The movie is awesome, and Blake and Anna turn in amazing performances,” he gushed. “I can’t wait for you all to see it. Stay tuned for more details. Simple Favor 2 is coming soon!”

Feig directed Lively, 37, and Kendrick, 39, in 2018’s A Simple Favor about a single mommy vlogger named Stephanie who investigates the mysterious disappearance of her friend Emily. Kendrick portrays Stephanie opposite Lively’s Emily.

Nearly six years later in 2024, Lively and Kendrick reunited to film the upcoming sequel. That same year, Lively also worked with Baldoni, 40, on the adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s It Ends With Us. (Baldoni also served as the film’s director, while Lively was an executive producer.)

Everything to Know About the Sequel to 'A Simple Favor'

Lively sued Baldoni in December 2024 for alleged sexual harassment, claiming the Jane the Virgin alum fostered a “hostile work environment” on the set of the summer blockbuster. She also claimed that Baldoni attempted to launch an alleged “social manipulation” campaign to destroy her career and reputation. Baldoni has vehemently denied the accusations and subsequently filed a $250 million lawsuit against the New York Times for their report outlining Lively’s claims.

“In this vicious smear campaign fully orchestrated by Blake Lively and her team, the New York Times cowered to the wants and whims of two powerful ‘untouchable’ Hollywood elites, disregarding journalistic practices and ethics once befitting of the revered publication by using doctored and manipulated texts and intentionally omitting texts which dispute their chosen PR narrative,” Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman said in a statement last month. “In doing so, they pre-determined the outcome of their story and aided and abetted their own devastating PR smear campaign designed to revitalize Lively’s self-induced floundering public image and counter the organic groundswell of criticism amongst the online public. The irony is rich.”

Lively, meanwhile, denied the accusations in a statement of her own.

“This lawsuit is based on the obviously false premise that Ms. Lively’s administrative complaint against Wayfarer and others was a ruse based on a choice not to file a lawsuit against Baldoni, Wayfarer, and that litigation was never her ultimate goal,” the actress told Us Weekly in a statement.

C.J. Stroud saves disastrous first half with huge 99-yard Texans TD drive in NFL playoffs opener

Just as the football-watching world was ready to count C.J. Stroud out, the Texans’ sophomore quarterback reminded everyone what he’s capable of. Deion Sanders criticizes Travis Hunter for deactivating social media after online comments about fiancée

11 January 2025 at 15:54

Colorado Buffaloes head football coach Deion Sanders addressed his former player Travis Hunter's decision to deactivate social media accounts in response to comments about Hunter's fiancée, Leanna Lenee.

Hunter and Lenee’s Instagram accounts were deactivated Dec. 23, days after Hunter won the Heisman Trophy. During the ceremony, social media discussion about the event included several harsh criticisms of Hunter and Lenee as a couple. Hunter's account has since been reactivated.

Sanders gave his reaction to Hunter's situation in an interview on the "Tamron Hall Show."

"It hurt me that he did," Sanders said of Hunter's deactivation. "What the enemy wants you to do is stop."

Sanders criticized Hunter for neglecting the business side of his decision. As a former college and future pro athlete with an NIL valuation of $5.2 million, according to On3.com, Hunter's social media account activity is likely directly tied to endorsements.

"You have endorsements, you have people that have sponsored you to talk about their product," Sanders said. "We have to activate right now."

Sanders was also critical of Hunter for backing down and suggested his response will make him vulnerable to "attacks."

"When somebody stays still, now you got a chance to attack, and I hate the stillness of that. Keep on moving. Don't let the enemy get you while you're still and you're having a pity party on yourself," Sanders said, adding that's what he told Hunter about the situation.

SHEDEUR SANDERS, TRAVIS HUNTER HAVE LARGEST DISABILITY INSURANCE IN CFB HISTORY TO COVER THEIR BOWL GAME

Hunter addressed the situation during a Twitch live stream, saying his fiancée cried herself to sleep and drank due to the backlash.

Lenee previously posted a video on her TikTok account in an effort to end the negativity Dec. 16.

"I’m tired, emotionally and mentally. I’ve seen people trying to make me out to be a person that I am not," Lenee said in the nearly eight-minute clip

She also addressed the negativity about her response to Hunter winning the Heisman Trophy

At least one social media video appeared to show Lenee remaining in her seat moments after Hunter was named the 2024 Heisman recipient. Deion Sanders then appeared to prompt Lenee to stand up. Lenee did eventually briefly embrace Hunter before quickly sitting back down during the audience's standing ovation.

Other video footage appeared to show Lenee remaining seated while Hunter greeted and posed for photos with fans at an event in New York City the day after the Heisman ceremony. Some fans attempted to analyze Lenee's demeanor during her time at the event and even suggested she was irritated.

"When his name was called, I instantly was going to get up. If you watch the video, his mom didn’t get up, so I was like, ‘Oh, maybe I don’t get up, I just sit here,’" she said. "As soon as I seen Travis get up, then I thought it was appropriate to stand up, greet him, congratulate him.

"But then there was a camera right in front of Coach Prime, and I knew they were going to film that moment and, because of how people are online, I was like, ‘I don’t want to be in that shot.’ So, I sat down.

"I got out of the camera, purposefully, so they can have their moment. That’s all it was. No one told me to stand up. No one had to tell me to celebrate with him. I was just sitting there crying. I wanted to take it in. I was super excited for him. But I wanted the moment to be about him and his family."

Hunter's teammate, quarterback Sheduer Sanders, has also addressed the controversy. The Buffaloes quarterback suggested critics should stop weighing in on Hunter's personal life.

"All y'all athletes, entertainers, artist etc. if y'all genuine trying to holla at Trav y'all know how to get in touch with him or someone around," Sanders wrote on X Sunday. "At this point y'all just posting for the algorithm trying to look cool."

Hunter and Lenee's engagement was publicly confirmed earlier this year.

Hunter is projected to be a top selection in the upcoming NFL Draft.
