Stars took Us back in time on the 2025 Golden Globes red carpet.
From Selena Gomez’s Cinderella moment to Zendaya’s Old Hollywood curls, Hollywood’s favorites opted for vintage-inspired looks.
Take Zendaya, for example, who parted her brunette mane to the side and styled her tresses in bouncy coils. While showing off her engagement ring from Tom Holland, she rocked a burnt orange custom Louis Vuitton gown featuring a voluminous skirt and a strapless neckline.
Gomez rocked a very similar hairstyle, which she paired with a pale blue satin custom Prada dress and diamond necklace. Gomez’s look was inspired by a similar azure gown that Jackie Kennedy wore in 1961 while visiting the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip with John F. Kennedy.
Sofía Vergara stole the show with her flawless glam at the 2025 Golden Globes.
Vergara, 52, looked effortlessly radiant at the annual awards ceremony, which took place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday, January 5. Thanks to celebrity makeup artist Sabrina Bedrani, Vergara’s makeup perfectly complimented her Georges Chakra gown.
To achieve the actress’ dewy base, Bedrani used La Prairie’s Skin Caviar collection, including the Liquid Lift serum. ”I focused on creating the perfect canvas because flawless, long-lasting makeup starts with well-prepped skin,” Bedrani told Us Weekly exclusively.
First, she misted Vergara’s skin with the luxe beauty brand’s Caviar Mist, “which instantly refreshed and energized her,” Bedrani said. She then went in with the Eye Lift serum and cream, gently tapping the product around Vergara’s eyes with a chilled metal spatula, which helps lift and depuff the under-eyes.
“To enhance the efficacy of the skincare routine, I used the Skin Caviar Essence-in-Lotion as a pre-serum step,” Bedrani told Us. “I then smoothed two drops of the new Skin Caviar Liquid Lift serum over Sofia’s face and neck, using a lifting and sculpting motion on her cheekbones and jawline.”
Next, the makeup artist created an “‘S’ movement between the brows and upward gliding strokes on the forehead [to] create a sculpted and lifted effect — eyebrows raised and redefined. It’s truly transformative.”
As a final skincare step, Bedrani massaged the Skin Caviar Lixe Cream into her face using upward motions to help lift her features. “This luxurious cream instantly revived her complexion, leaving her skin radiant and perfectly primed for makeup.”
Vergara’s makeup featured filled-in eyebrows, bronze winged eyeshadow, long lashes and pink lips. She added the perfect amount of sparkle to her look with diamond earrings and a matching necklace from Lorraine Schwartz. Vergara, who was nominated Best Performance by a Female Actor, Limited Series, Anthology Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television for her talked-about role in Netflix’s Griselda, tied her look together with straightened hair. (The trophy ended up going to Jodie Foster for her part in True Detective: Night Country.)
Edebiri, 29, opened up about adding a subtle crimson dye to her hair the day of the 2025 Golden Globes on Sunday, January 5, while chatting with Today on the red carpet.
“We dyed my hair this morning,” she said. “It was kind of insane dying my hair in a hotel room, but I think worth it!”
Edebiri’s last-minute hair change perfectly tied her Julia Roberts-inspired look together, as she channeled the actress’ 1990 Golden Globes look.
Just like Roberts’ oversized suit moment, Edebiri rocked a custom Loewe outfit featuring a textured blazer layered over a gray dress shirt. The Bear star elevated her look with a feather tie that was dipped in 14-karat gold and plummeted to her thighs, black leather shoes and dainty Mejuri hoops.
For glam, Edebiri donned a full beat including blushed cheeks, pink eyeshadow, filled-in eyebrows, long lashes and lined lips. Her freshly dyed mane was parted down the middle and worn in bouncy curls.
Edebiri’s stylist later took to Instagram on Sunday and reposted a side-by-side pic of Edebiri and Roberts, 57, with the caption, “important.”
Edebiri also shared moments of her getting ready for the evening on Monday, January 6, as well as snaps from inside the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
“Wore a suit, wore a grill, saw some pals, almost didn’t get on the red carpet so Ethan took pictures of me that are very very bad ,” she captioned the pics. “Lots of love, feeling so so very grateful – golden globes ‘25!!! .”
This year, Edebiri was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series, Comedy, for her role as Sydney Adamu in The Bear. The trophy ended up being awarded to Jean Smart for her part in Hacks.
Elle, for her part, continued to play with leopard print in a vintage Prada dress featuring spaghetti straps, red flowers and a thigh-high slit. For the awards ceremony, she channeled a cheetah in a Balmain ball gown.
Elle’s older sister, Dakota, also changed for the party, saying goodbye to the stunning Dolce & Gabbana A-line number she wore on the red carpet and hello to a sexy little black dress.
Madison also swapped her strapless gold Bottega Veneta dress for a simple black frock featuring a gold chain strap and a cowl neckline. She added a glamorous detail to her look with statement earrings and a red clutch.

Nikki Glaser might have had a nip slip, but any Swiftie can agree that it was worth it.
Glaser, 40, took to Instagram on Sunday, January 5, to share her getting-ready process ahead of hosting the 2025 Golden Globes at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. In the clip, the comedian hilariously thrashed around while dramatically dancing to Taylor Swift’s “Who’s Afraid Of Little Old Me?” from her Tortured Poets Department album. Glaser leaned forward during the video, and accidentally let her chest fall out of the top of her shimmery nude Prabal Gurung gown.
To conceal her wardrobe malfunction, Glaser blacked out her exposed nipple with “Oops” written over the screen.
The rest of Glaser’s glamorous look featured a fitted bodice and a column skirt with a Watteau train.
Glaser elevated her look with diamond earrings and a full beat, including brown eyeshadow, blushed and bronzed cheeks and nude lips. Her blonde hair was parted down the middle and styled in beachy waves.
“You really shouldn’t be…” she captioned the post.
Glaser had a number of fabulous looks while hosting the event, including sequin dresses with cowl necklines, showstopping gowns with bedazzled embellishments and even a glittery pink ensemble that she wore while performing a Glinda/Pope sketch.
As she got ready for the awards, Glaser showed off a silky black robe featuring “Host” written across her back in crystal letters.
During her monologue, Glaser had the audience in stitches with her racy jokes about Glen Powell and a diss to Timothée Chalamet, quipping his mustache looked like eyelashes. She also poked fun at Benny Blanco, joking that a genie granted his wish for a romance with Selena Gomez, as the couple announced their engagement last month.
Take Fanning, for example, who delivered elegance and charm in a Balmain gown featuring a sculpted bodice complete with a bedazzled cheetah print. The crystals cascaded into a pleated bodice attached to a ball skirt. Fanning accessorized the look with a glittery bracelet and gold Cartier choker.
Saldana also schooled the trend in a sequin Saint Laurent gown featuring a deep V-neck and a column skirt. While posing on the red carpet, the actress added even more glamor to her look with a billowing cape featuring puffy sleeves and a delicate train.

Grande, 31, and Erivo, 37, looked beyond fabulous at the 2025 Golden Globes, which took place on Sunday, January 5. Grande, for her part, stunned in a vintage Givenchy yellow gown featuring a delicate beaded neckline and an empire waist. She dressed up her look even more with white gloves and diamond jewelry from Swarovski. Grande, who is nominated for Best Supporting Female Actor for her role as Glinda in Wicked, also showed off her new hair color: a strawberry blonde hue a shade darker than her usual blonde locks.
Erivo — up for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy — looked timeless in a glittery Roberto Coin gown featuring silver florals and a plunging neckline. The pièce de résistance was the skirt of her dress, which had a structural rectangular shape that protruded from her hips. Underneath, the skirt plummeted into long pleats.
Erivo opened up to E! about her color switch-up, sharing, “The thing is, green is Elphaba’s favorite color but what she wears is black. So we’ve been playing around with it and bringing green in occasionally.”
Her makeup was just as exquisite, featuring smokey eyeshadow and long lashes. Erivo topped off her look with a fabulous nail design complete with different colored nails and silver jewels, which she said took five hours.
While the stars decided not to wear their Wicked character’s iconic colors, green and pink, they previously channeled Glinda and Elphaba’s wardrobe while hitting the red carpet during the movie’s press tour.
Perhaps Grande’s most talked-about look came at the London premiere in November. For the occasion, she donned a yellow Ralph Lauren gown reminiscent of her Broadway character’s costume that Glinda wore while singing “One Short Day.” Just as Glinda did on stage, Grace accessorized with round green-tinted sunglasses.
Erivo also looked fabulous at each Wicked premiere, with most ethereal look coming at the Mexico City premiere, where she wore a custom Thom Browne dress featuring hands on her shoulder in the iconic shape of the Wicked Witch of the West’s talons.
Moore, 62, stepped onto the red carpet on Sunday, January 5, with a full beat. For her first Golden Globes appearance since 2009, Moore donned glamorous makeup, featuring a brown shade blended into her crease. She added the perfect amount of sparkle to her beat with a golden shimmer swept across her eyelids. Her cheeks were defined with a soft contour and blush that complimented her lips.
Moore tied her goddess look together with her brunette hair parted to the side and styled in loose curls with a bounce at her ends.
Moore’s outfit was just as noteworthy as her glam, including an asymmetrical neckline that artistically folded on her bodice. She added the perfect amount of sparkle to her look with diamond jewelry.
On the red carpet, she opened up to E! about aging in the spotlight. “The beauty in this is that we all understand there has been the circumstances of women being marginalized at a certain age but for me the most captivating is the exploration of the violence and harshness we have against ourselves because that is within our power to shift,” she said. “How we hold ourselves is everything.” On the line ‘at 50 it stops’: Just because there’s a collective agreement doesn’t mean it’s the truth. We as women have bought into it but when we change how we view ourselves the world with follow.”
This year, Moore is presenting at the awards ceremony, which is held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, California. Comedian Nikki Glaser is hosting the event. She is also nominated for Best Performance in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for her role in The Substance. (Other nominees in the category include Amy Adams, Cynthia Erivo, Karla Sofía Gascón, Mikey Madison and Zendaya.)
Although she hasn’t been to the Golden Globes since 2009, Moore stunned on the red carpet at the Golden Globes party during the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2024.
For the event, she looked fiery in a red leather dress featuring thin straps, a square neckline and a flowy skirt with a wrap dress. Moore matched her frock with scrappy heels and a cherry red pedicure.
In true Moore fashion, she wore her long hair down and straightened. She topped off her look with bedazzled hoops and soft makeup including blushed cheeks, filled-in eyebrows and nude lips.
Back in 2009, Moore sported a halter nude dress featuring a tiered skirt. The actress paired her gown with stacked bracelets and beachy waves.
Powell, 36, looked marvelous at the awards, which were hosted on Sunday, January 5, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. Powell, who is up for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy for his role as Gary Johnson in Hit Man, wore a velvet black blazer. Underneath the classy piece, Powell tucked a silky black top into his charcoal pants.
Powell elevated his suit with aviator sunglasses, a chain necklace, a silver ring and leather boots. His hair was styled in his signature ‘do, with the sides of his head cut shorter than the top. His facial hair was groomed into short stubble.
The actor posed with both his parents on the red carpet as he beamed for the cameras. His parents coordinated in black outfits, with his dad rocking a tuxedo and his mom looking chic in a dark suit.
This year, the Golden Globes were hosted by Nikki Glaser. In August, the comedian, 40, opened up about the job, calling it “an exciting yet challenging gig because it’s live, unpredictable and in front of Hollywood’s biggest stars.”
Powell is known to have an effortlessly cool style when it comes to hitting the red carpet, opting for classy suits, elegant tuxedos and more.
Last month, Powell looked timeless in a black tuxedo at the 2024 Fashion Awards in London. He teamed his tailored coat with a white dress shirt equipped with black buttons and a matching bow tie. Powell tied his look together with patent leather dress shoes.
The actor’s street style is just as cool, seeing as he normally opts for casual attire.
In July 2024, Powell owned the streets of New York City in a white tank top, which he wore underneath a teal button-down shirt. The Twisters star kept his look casual with blue jeans and a black leather belt. His brond hair, which was cut longer at the time, was pushed back with his bangs slightly falling over his forehead.
Powell accessorized with a gold pendant necklace and blue-tinted shades.
That same month, he gave Us city boy energy with a denim top and pleated tan pants. He threw on a baseball cap and white sneakers before hitting the streets of the Big Apple.
Nikki Glaser can easily win over a crowd with her jokes — and her sense of style.
Glaser, 40, who is hosting the 2025 Golden Globes on Sunday, January 5, is known to wear mini dresses, platform heels, sparkly ensembles and more while hitting the stage for stand-up acts.
While attending the Golden Globes Red Carpet Rollout on Thursday, January 2, in Beverly Hills, Glaser shined in a custom Off-White suit featuring a crinkled design. Underneath, she sported a black top featuring a cutout over her chest and a bedazzled enclosure.
Besides looking chic, Glaser keeps it real about the beauty and fashion industry in her jokes. From cracking one about wanting an eyebrow lift to feeling pressure to wear makeup at all times, the comedian never fails to make Us laugh.
Keep scrolling to Glaser’s best jokes about beauty and fashion:
Plastic Surgery
“I’m gonna use the money from tonight [and] I’m gonna get a brow lift,” Glaser said in her comedy May 2024 special with Max, Someday You’ll Die. “I know I want this because every time I’m stressed out, I’m like, ‘Oh my God, snatched,’” she said, pulling back her face. “I’ve never felt worse but I’ve never looked better,” she quipped.
Wardrobe Malfunctions
Glaser experienced her very own fashion faux pas while appearing on an episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in May 2021. As she was virtually introduced to the crowd, Glaser opened her arms to say “Hello, Jimmy!” But accidentally broke the top off of her hot pink sparkly blazer.
“My dress just unpopped!” Glaser exclaimed while crossing her arms, covering up. “That was humiliating, let’s keep going,” she said, brushing the incident off.
Glaser later took to Instagram to continue to poke fun at the wardrobe malfunction, writing, “Nippy Glaser flashed everyone on the show and also my friends who were watching on the other side of my computer. I’m .”
Wearing Makeup
“Without makeup, I look way different. I never get recognized. The other day, I was actually recognized without makeup and I got offended,” she said in her Max special. “F— you. You think Nikki Glaser looks like this?”
Glaser later joked about how long it takes women to get ready for an event during her Hollywood Reporter’s annual Women in Entertainment speech in December 2024.
“Can we all just acknowledge the toll glam takes on our schedules?” she said to the crowd. “Did everyone start getting ready while it was still dark outside? In fact, I think this very speech I’m giving right now probably could have been 20 percent better had I not spent most of yesterday getting ready just to feel presentable enough to read it.”
She continued, “It’s hard to write a speech on the same day you have to get a spray tan, do a fitting, get your nails done and bleach your a——.”
“Let’s just remember that this is the part of our job that men don’t really have to do,” she laughed.
Looking Hot
Glaser joked about getting treated differently when she has makeup on during her Someday You’ll Die special. In the episode, she shared a hilarious story about getting free groceries at Trader Joes after a cashier flirted with her when she looked “hot.”
Messy Updos
“The only safe style for a woman now is when you wear your hair up in a high ponytail,” Glaser quipped while doing standup in June 2023. “Don’t you dare take that from us.”
She also joked that men “own buns” now, and she can’t wear her hair in an updo without it becoming a “man bun.”
“I recycled an @fboyisland dress for you and then I showed up to the show and you all had stylish black blazers and bootcut jeans. I got had!” She captioned an Instagram post at the time.
From Kiki Layne’s twisted updo in 2019 to Jessica Biel’s chignon accessory and Jessica Alba’s timeless beach waves in 2017, celebrities have gotten creative with their tresses through the years.
Lady Gaga served Us with an unforgettable coiffure at the 2019 ceremony. That evening, her signature blonde mane was colored blue and pulled up into an elaborate top knot by celebrity hairstylist Fredric Aspiras.
Aspiras opened up about the ‘do in a 2019 interview with Allure, sharing that “Gaga wanted to feel like herself” at the event, and the dye job was “inspired by the magnificent color” of her periwinkle Valentino dress.
Another memorable moment came from Tracee Ellis Ross at the 2017 soirée.
The Black-ishactress donned the perfect coily ponytail courtesy of stylist Araxi Lindsey. Her locks were slicked back in the front, revealing her voluminous mane in the back. To hide the hair band, the California native wrapped her brunette tresses around the tie.

In one shot, Biles, who was styled by Kesha McLeod, proved that she stays on top of current trends while rocking a pair of silver sequin booty shorts by Retrofête. Biles made sure fans got a glimpse of her toned legs by pairing the glittery shorts with scrappy Giuseppe Zanotti heels. Carpenter, 25, took to Instagram on Thursday, January 2, to show off her winter wonderland look. In the snap, Carpenter, who was clearly unbothered by the cold weather, posed in a sleeveless gown featuring silver sequin straps, a tie-dye blue and white pattern and different sizes of sparkly snowflakes. The frock accentuated her curves and snatched her waist.
Carpenter, who posed in front of a ski lift, elevated her look with a white fuzzy shawl and diamond stud earrings.
The singer added even more of a snow effect to her look with a full beat. Her makeup included white shimmery eyeshadow in her inner corner, and a touch of blush on her cheeks and the tip of her nose, making Carpenter look chilly in the snow. She tied her glam together with long lashes, pink lips and a curly updo.
Elsewhere in the social media post, Carpenter proved she also has outfits that will keep her warm, including a Hello Kitty snowsuit. Her outfit featured the character’s face on her chest and her iconic bow on Carpenter’s bum, as well as a fur-lined hood and quilted silhouette. The singer laid in the snow as she showed off the piece and posed with a friend.
“New year’s resolution no more d— jokes it’s gonna be really hard,” Carpenter playfully captioned her post.
Carpenter has been embracing winter fashion as of late, rocking vintage fur ensembles, oversized sweaters, fuzzy crop tops and more.
Last month, Carpenter stepped out in a black jacket featuring a cheetah print collar while visiting New York City. Her outfit — which exactly resembled Fran Drescher‘s 1990s character Fran Fine from The Nanny — was complete with a briefcase-inspired purse and platform pumps.
Earlier in December, Carpenter proved vintage never goes out of style while rocking a 1994 Chanel Karl Lagerfeld black-and-white mini dress adorned with fur.
Brown, 20, kindly clapped back at internet trolls who claimed she looked older than her age via Instagram on Wednesday, January 1. “Women grow!!” she wrote in a since expired Instagram story, per Page Six. “Not sorry about it :).”
Brown’s comment came days after she pursed her lips and accentuated her cheekbones in a cute mirror selfie while showing off a colorful Louis Vuitton purse. Brown completed her look with even more color, rocking a floral frock featuring thick straps and a square neckline.
For glam, the Stranger Things star showed off her natural curls, which she pushed over to one side of her head. She donned soft makeup including extra rosy cheeks, manicured eyebrows, a touch of mascara and bright pink lips.
Online trolls were quick to share their thoughts on Brown’s mirror selfie, writing, “She skipped 20s & went straight into 40’s.” A second agreed, “She looks way older.”
While some followers critiqued Brown’s selfie, others stood up for the Florence by Mills founder.
“The amount of people who can’t tell she’s just pursing her lips and sucking her cheeks is killing me,” one fan wrote. Another added, “Millie, you are beautiful and wonderful, so don’t worry about the hate!!.”
Brown shared another chic selfie via Instagram on Thursday, January 2. In the snap, she rocked an elegant Staud dress featuring a black pearl neckline and a silky silhouette. Brown elevated the piece with diamond earrings and a matching bracelet.
Brown teamed her outfit with a full beat, including lined lips, blushed cheeks and long lashes. Her tresses parted down the middle and straightened.
Sweeney, 27, took to Instagram on Thursday, January 2, to show off her figure in a sexy swimsuit. Her bikini, featuring a brown balconette top and matching string bottoms, perfectly sculpted her curves. In the snap, the actress laid across a jet ski while leaning her head against one arm. She gazed into the camera, sporting a pair of black sunglasses.
For glam, Sweeney looked effortlessly cool with her blonde hair parted down the middle and styled in beachy waves.
“The last few days of 2024 will forever be some of my favorites,” Sweeney captioned the post.
The Euphoria star’s bikini selfie comes just two weeks after she clapped back at body-shamers with a super hot pic via Instagram. At the time, she posed topless on a balcony while rocking a Miu Miu outfit.
Her ensemble featured a brown knit jacket, blue jeans and a leather purse equipped with charms. Sweeney tilted her head back and leaned against the balcony while giving fans a glimpse of her curves.
Back in December, internet trolls were critiquing Sweeney’s figure after paparazzi photos were taken of her tanning in Florida.
While soaking up the sun, Sweeney opted for a lavender halter bikini featuring a floral design, a bow on her chest and lace embellishments on her cups. She paired the top with matching bottoms and black Miu Miu sunglasses.
Besides her purple two piece, Sweeney — who is training to play boxer Christy Martin in an upcoming biopic — has quite the swimsuit collection.
In August, she showed off a sultry one-piece, featuring long-sleeves and a zip-up front. While enjoying a boat ride, Sweeney made sure fans got a shot of her toned legs, thanks to the thong back of the swimwear.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, returned to Instagram for the first time in nearly five years on Wednesday, January 2, to share a video of herself barefoot running across a beach.
In the clip filmed by husband Prince Harry, the former actress skipped to the shore in a pair of white skinny jeans — which are usually considered “out of style” after Labor Day — rolled up at the cuffs, and a white flowy blouse. She crouched down in the sand and wrote “2025” with her finger before jogging away from the camera. Meghan wore her long hair down in the reel, which she styled in beachy kinks.
Meghan’s video marks her first post under the username @meghan, where she is connecting with fans and sharing her projects. Meghan and Harry, 40, previously had a joint Instagram account, @sussexroyal, but haven’t updated it since March 2020.
Since her first post, Meghan has also shared a clip teasing her upcoming Netflix series, With Love, Meghan. In the reel, she cooked in a kitchen, shopped for flowers and more. Her lifestyle show is set to premiere on January 15.
When Meghan isn’t enjoying days on the beach — or creating masterpieces in the kitchen — she’s busy showing off her fabulous style at red carpet events.
Last month, she looked elegant in a black Oscar de la Renta gown at the Paley Honors Fall Gala in Beverly Hills. Her gown featured a strapless sweetheart neckline, a fitted silhouette, a knee-high slit and a dainty train. Meghan elevated her look with black strappy heels, a diamond necklace and ring, and a gold bangle.
Meghan let her dress speak for itself, donning soft makeup including filled-in eyebrows, mascara and glossy lips. Her brunette strands were parted down the middle and twisted into an updo.
Bieber, 28, took to Instagram on Wednesday, January 1, to show off her first bikini pic of 2025. In the snap, Hailey, who recently welcomed her first baby, Jack Blues, with husband Justin Bieber, posed in a pink balconette bikini featuring white ruffles and a dainty bow on her chest. Hailey matched her top with string bottoms and her signature bedazzled “B” and “Jbb” necklaces, referencing her last name and Jack’s initials, respectively.
Hailey tied her look together with a fuzzy cheetah print coat, diamond earrings and a “Happy New Year” headband.
In true Hailey style, she donned a dewy base with soft blush, pink lips and mascara.
Justin, 30, later swooned over Hailey’s bikini shoot via Instagram, posting another pic of her in the swimwear. “Um, goin anywhere with u bb,” he captioned the post. “Happy new year.”
Elsewhere on social media, Hailey shared a glimpse of Jack, 4 months. She adorably grabbed his foot and held it up against her face in the black-and-white photo. She squinted her eyes for the camera while Jack wore black-and-white pajamas.
“HNY ,” she captioned the adorable snap.
While Hailey and Justin have not yet shared any snaps of Jack’s face, they posted another pic of his foot when he was born in August 2024.
Hailey also posted another pic of her and Justin taking Jack on a walk in November 2024. At the time, she cradled Jack in her coat as he bundled up in a navy blue sweater with a sherpa lining. Hailey added just a bit of glam to her ensemble with Gucci sunglasses, as Justin opted for a fuzzy camo hoodie and matching overcoat.
Taylor Swift’s watch collection just got the best addition.
Swift, 34, showed off a dazzling watch while hugging stylist and longtime friendAshley Avignone at her birthday party on Saturday, December 28. The Cartier design, which retails for $32,200, featured a white face with black Roman numerals that were surrounded by dainty diamonds. The watch was set in a gold casing with a matching band.
Swift, who is not historically been known to sport a watch, elevated the piece with a black sweater and her go-to glam: black winged eyeliner and her signature cherry red lip. She tied her look together with her blonde hair worn down and styled in a blowout.
Swift has recently been growing her watch collection, as she showed off a $54,000 design at Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs game in November.
Sarah Chapelle, the author of Taylor Swift Style: Fashion Through the Eras, who has studied Swift’s wardrobe for over 13 years, took to Instagram on Monday, December 30, to share her thoughts on the singer experimenting with watches.
“Over the last year, Taylor has upped her jewelry game and has explored the art of the stack in various categories (necklaces, earrings, bracelets). But one category that is entirely new to her? Watches,” she captioned a pic of Swift’s look. “In my memory, the only time I can recall Taylor coming close to watches is when they were formatted into different settings like, say, a vintage watch face restrung onto a necklace pendant.”
As Chapelle mentioned, Swift donned a watch face set on a choker at the 2024 Grammys in February. The time on the clock was stuck at 12:00 a.m., referencing her album which took home multiple Grammys, Midnights. The custom jewelry was originally a Concord watch face that was strung on black diamonds by Lorraine Schwartz.
Swift teamed the choker with a Schiaparelli gown, which was later reinvited for her Tortured Poets Department “Fortnight” music video with Post Malone. On her Eras Tour, she also wore a similar version of her dress while singing hits from her TTPD album.
Bieber, 28, took to Instagram on Monday, December 30, to show off her winter eye makeup, which immediately gave Us inspiration on how to get glammed up for New Years Eve. In the snap, Bieber spun her head around, pausing at the perfect moment to show off just how glittery her eyeshadow was. She donned white glitter with a silver iridescent over her lid and blended to her brow bone. Bieber teamed the shimmer with extra rosy cheeks, longed link lips, soft contour and manicured brows.
If you’re hoping to take the beauty look out of Bieber’s book for your own New Year’s Eve ensemble, Us suggests applying a tacky primer or concealer to your eyelid before patting the glitter on top. To ensure you won’t get fallout from the sparkle on the rest of your face, do your eye makeup first, then use a makeup remover for any glitter that falls before going in with foundation.
Hailey, who recently welcomed her first baby, Jack Blues, with husband Justin Bieber, paired her festive look with a black sweater and fur vest, gold hoop earrings in her first piercing and a diamond huggie in her seconds. Her blonde hair was parted down the middle and styled in a bouncy blowout.
This is hardly the first time Hailey has donned copy-worthy glam. Last winter, she demonstrated how to achieve “Sugar Plum Fairy” makeup inspired by the Nutcracker. In the video, she applied blush to her eyelids, which she covered in more sparkly pink cream eyeshadow before adding gloss to her lids for “more shimmer.”
Hailey completed her look with especially blushed cheeks, fuchsia lips, faux freckles and gelled eyebrows. To give the look even more of a girly effect, Hailey wore a pink coat in the clip and statement gold earrings.
Is Amanda Stanton on to something when she suggested Taylor Swiftcould be taking style inspo from her? This is a case for the FBI. Or Us Weekly.
The Bachelor Nation alum, 34, took to Instagram on Sunday, December 29, to wonder if Swift, 34, is secretly spying on her wardrobe. “OK I know it’s a stretch & I am *partially* kidding but when I shared how Taylor wears something similar to what I’m wearing a few days later, I wore an embellished black jacket 6 days ago (totally different style coat but same idea) and this is her tonight out in NYC,” she captioned a photo of Swift rocking a Simkhai coat on a date night with Travis Kelce, which Stanton thinks is similar her Curtis jacket from Misa Los Angeles.
She continued, “If this were the only occasion I wouldn’t think anythingggg of it but this is like the 7th time so now I’m paying attention and it just … keeps happening.”
While Swift made the fit her own with a pleated mini dress by Fleur du Mal and Stanton paired her jacket with black pants, both donned silver accessories. Swift, for her part, sparkled with diamond dangling earrings from De Beers ($34,900) and a glittery Stella McCartney purse ($2,450). Stanton glammed up her look with shimmery earrings from Mignonne Gavigan and black heels adorned with silver beads.
Upon further investigation, Us Weekly realized there might be a resemblance between Stanton’s style and Swift’s. This past summer, both the women wore long sleeve blue mini dresses featuring a detailed hem.
Stanton’s frock featured sheer sleeves with feather cuffs and a matching hem. She showed off the dress via Instagram during a vacation to France in June. At the time, fans commented that her look was “bejeweled,” one of Swift’s hits from her Midnights album.
Swift wore a nearly identical Stella McCartney ensemble earlier this year, which Cara Delevingne shared via social media in May.
It’s likely Swift and Stanton just have the similar personal style, with both of them owning a number of pleated skirts, knee-high boots, red fur coats, floral dresses, plaid ensembles and more — but the Grammy winner could also just be a Bachelor superfan circa season 20.
