Awards season got off to an early start as the 82nd annual Golden Globes celebrated the best performances in TV and film on Sunday, January 5.

When nominations were announced in December 2024, Emilia Pérez made Golden Globes history as the most-nominated film in the comedy or musical categories, earning a total of 10 nods. The Brutalist and Conclave followed with seven and six nominations, respectively.

On the TV side, The Bear led the pack with five nods, continuing the debate of whether the series is truly a comedy. (For some of Us, the answer is a clear yes.) Shōgun and Only Murders in the Building were each recognized four times. The former won in all of its categories, while the latter walked away empty-handed.

With roles in both OMITB and Emilia Pérez, Selena Gomez received the rare honor of being nominated in film and television categories in the same year. She faced off against costar Zoe Saldaña, Wicked’s Ariana Grande and more for Best Supporting Female Actor in a Film and was bested by Hacks star Jean Smart in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series, Comedy category.

Bradley Cooper Through the Years: From Guest Star to Leading Man

5 January 2025 at 11:40

Bradley Cooper started off as a struggling actor from humble beginnings, but he quickly transformed into one of Hollywood’s hottest household names.

Before racking up awards, Cooper worked his way up from guest-starring roles on some of the most well-known television series of the early 2000s. In 2001, Cooper found a steadier position on ABC’s cult classic Alias.

It was around this same time that Cooper started to realize he was abusing alcohol and other substances to cope with life as a struggling actor. Cooper made a promise to himself in 2004 to stay sober after a night of heavy partying landed him in the hospital.

From that moment on, Cooper was primed for success and earned his first Oscar nomination in 2013. Cooper doesn’t let his busy career distract him from his daughter, Lea, whom he shares with ex Irina Shayk.

“They share a balanced schedule with their daughter, which also varies based on their work obligations,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly of the former couple in February 2021. “There have been no arguments about Lea’s schedule. Bradley usually is busier and has back-to-back films lined up, but he makes sure he spends a lot of time with Lea.”

Scroll down to learn more about Cooper’s rise to Hollywood stardom:

Cooper’s first big break was a small guest role on Sex and the City as Jake, a drunk guy who tried to make out with Carrie Bradshaw in a car. He joined Andy Cohen, Justin Theroux, Elizabeth Banks and more celebs who made small, surprising turns on the HBO show.

After a few more minor projects, Cooper landed a recurring stint alongside Jennifer Garner on ABC’s Alias. He played local reporter Will Tippin until 2006, but his role was seriously downgraded after season two. In 2013, Cooper revealed to GQ that he eventually asked the show’s creator, J.J. Abrams, to write him out of the series entirely.

Following his devastating demotion on Alias, Cooper began to feel depressed and considered quitting the business altogether. By 2004, he vowed to stay sober. “I realized I wasn't going to live up to my potential, and that scared the hell out of me,” he later told the Hollywood Reporter.

Cooper and Related actress Jennifer Esposito had a whirlwind — but short-lived — love story. The actors got engaged in October 2006, just a few months after they were spotted together on every red carpet during awards season. They tied the knot in the south of France by the end of that year, then finalized their divorce in November 2007.

Struggling actor no more! Cooper’s breakthrough finally came with one of the highest grossing R-rated films of all time, The Hangover. The Todd Phillips directed comedy was a critical and commercial success, making Cooper a household name.

Cooper later tried his hand at more dramatic roles, including 2012’s Silver Linings Playbook. The film centered around a man with bipolar disorder who befriends a young widow (Jennifer Lawrence) and earned Cooper his first Academy Award nomination.

The Limitless star had a series of famous flings before being linked to model Suki Waterhouse in March 2013. Two years later, the pair reportedly called it quits due to their nearly 20-year age difference. Cooper, then 40, wanted to settle down while Waterhouse, 23 at the time, wanted to focus on her career before starting a family.

Cooper starred in his second David O. Russell project, American Hustle, in 2013 alongside Amy Adams, Jennifer Lawrence and Christian Bale. The superstar cast earned the Screen Actors’ Guild award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, the first SAG win of Cooper’s career.

One month after calling off his two-year relationship with Suki Waterhouse, the American Sniper star was rumored to be dating supermodel Irina Shayk. The pair took their relationship public in the spring of 2015 when they were seen locking lips while out and about in London.

In 2015, Cooper was named one of TIME Magazine’s 100 most influential people of the year. Actor Oliver Platt penned a loving tribute to his “dazzling” friend, saying, “It’s hard to make people, especially your friends, forget who you are onscreen. But Bradley’s that good. And I think we’ve seen only a hint of what’s to come.”

Baby makes three! Cooper and Shayk welcomed their first child together, Lea de Seine, in March 2017. The Guardians of the Galaxy star and Victoria’s Secret model maintain their privacy when it comes to their daughter, but Cooper told NPR in September 2018 that fatherhood was “a miracle and something I've always dreamt of.”

The Philadelphia native made his directorial debut with the fourth Hollywood version of A Star Is Born. Cooper starred in the dramatic movie musical alongside Lady Gaga and earned hundreds of accolades, including the Oscar for Best Original Song and two Grammy awards the next year.

After four years together, Cooper and Shayk pulled the plug on their relationship in June 2019. A source told Us Weekly at the time that the duo had hit a rough patch amid intense romance rumors with Cooper’s A Star Is Born costar. “Even though there was nothing romantic between Bradley and Gaga, the noise was difficult for Irina to deal with,” the insider said.

Romance rumors swirled after the actor and his former Alias costar Garner were spotted on a beach in Malibu in August 2020 with his daughter, Lea. However, a source later told Us that the pair are just “friends and have been forever.”

Though Cooper and Shayk ended their relationship, they remain committed coparents to their daughter, Lea.
“He’s a full-on, hands-on dad,” the model gushed to Highsnobiety, before praising their little one’s manners. “No nanny. Lea went on holiday with him for almost two weeks — I didn’t call them once. … When she finishes eating, she gets up from the table, takes her plate, says, ‘Thank you.’ Without ‘please’ or ‘thank you,’ she’s not getting anything. It’s hard, because she has so many toys.”

Following their breakup, Cooper invited the Russia native to the premiere of his Nightmare Alley film. “It’s very special,” he told Entertainment Tonight about having Shayk’s support during the event.

Diane Keaton's Most Memorable Roles: 'The Godfather' and More

5 January 2025 at 07:51

Diane Keaton has been captivating viewers since the 1970s — and she shows no signs of stopping.

Following her theatrical debut in the original 1968 production of Broadway’s Hair, Keaton turned to film. Her first role was in 1970’s Lovers and Other Strangers, two years before she got her big break in Francis Ford Coppola’s The Godfather.

“I always thought I was the most outsider, weird person in the movie, and ‘Why was I cast in it?’ and I had no voice,” Keaton said of her character, Kay Adams, while celebrating the original movie’s 45th anniversary at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival. “But then I had a couple of good scenes with Al [Pacino].”

At the time, the Oscar winner confessed that she hadn’t seen the iconic mafia movie in nearly three decades. “I saw it on my computer. I hadn’t seen it for I think about 30 years,” she said. “And … I just remember all the people, I couldn’t handle it, it was so astonishing, it was so beautiful, and everybody is so great in it, and the music, and every choice [Coppola] made.”

Keaton went on to appear in the franchise’s 1974 sequel and 1990 follow-up. While her dramatic turns are award-worthy, fans also love the Then Again author’s comedic timing in Annie Hall, Father of the Bride, The Family Stone and more.

“Diane, of course, she was kind of our leader on the movie,” Family Stone costar Luke Wilson exclusively told Us Weekly in December 2021. “She would never say that but everyone was so admiring of her.”

Scroll down for a look back at Keaton’s most memorable roles through the years:

Keaton played Kay Adams throughout the trilogy, which began in 1972. Kay is the longtime love and eventual second wife of Michael Corleone (Pacino). As a non-Italian, she’s unfamiliar with the Corleones’ world — and initially doesn’t know about Don Vito Corleone’s (Marlon Brando) mafia connections. In the 1974 sequel, Kay and Michael separate, leading her to wed Douglas Michelson by the third movie.

Allen, who costars as Alvy Singer, wrote the title character of this critically acclaimed film specifically for Keaton. The pair’s undeniable chemistry helped them bring home the trophy for Best Picture at the 1978 Oscars. Keaton also won an individual honor for Best Actress.

The Let's Just Say It Wasn't Pretty writer joins Jessica Lange, Sissy Spacek, Sam Shepard and Tess Harper in the film adaptation of Beth Henley’s play of the same name, which follows three sisters who reunite after one (Spacek) shoots her husband.

This beloved rom-com focuses on Nina (Keaton) and her husband, George Banks (Steve Martin), who struggles with the idea of eldest daughter Annie (Kimberly Williams-Paisley) moving out and getting engaged. Its sequel debuted in 1995, and the cast reunited 25 years later for a shortened part three.

Longtime pals Elise (Goldie Hawn), Brenda (Bette Midler) and Annie (Keaton) are forced to reckon with their age — and seek their revenge — as their husbands leave them for younger women. The fan-favorite movie was adapted into a stage show, was rumored to have inspired a TV series and remains an iconic pop culture reference.

The same year First Wives Club hit theaters, Keaton starred in this acclaimed family drama alongside Meryl Streep, Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Hume Cronyn, Gwen Verdon, Hal Scardino and Dan Hedaya. The movie earned Keaton her third Oscar nomination for Best Actress.

© Moviestore/Shutterstock

Nancy Meyers fans fell head over heels for this swoon-worthy romance, which also features Jack Nicholson and Keanu Reeves. Both a box office hit and critical success, the film’s leading lady won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Motion Picture Comedy or Musical and was nominated for her fourth Academy Award.

Nothing says Christmas quite like family drama — and this movie is full of it. Craig T. Nelson, Dermot Mulroney, Sarah Jessica Parker, Wilson, Claire Danes and Rachel McAdams join Keaton in this complicated holiday classic.

In this heartwarming comedy, the Brother & Sister author portrays Daphne, a well-meaning mother who meddles in her daughters’ (Lauren Graham, Piper Perabo and Mandy Moore) love lives — and unexpectedly finds a match of her own.

© Bad Robot/Kobal/Shutterstock

Keaton and Harrison Ford are spot-on in their portrayals of morning show cohosts Colleen Peck and Mike Pomeroy, whose tenures at DayBreak are shaken up by plucky young producer Becky Fuller (McAdams).

Not only is Keaton a major star on the big screen, but she’s also made a splash on TV. Her turn as Sister Mary in HBO’s The Young Pope was one of the buzziest performances of the year.

Male Celebrities Are Starting to Stir the Pot More Than Ever

4 January 2025 at 06:00
SAT 2502 What Weve Noticed
Dave Portnoy, Zach Bryan Kevin Mazur/Getty Images; Scott Legato/Getty Images

Some things will always be “for the girls,” but with the way male celebrities have been acting on the internet — and in some cases, in front of the cameras — petty drama isn’t one of them.

In the words of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Meredith Marks herself, we can go there with the husbands. Season 5 of the series got off to an icy start for longtime snowflake holders Lisa Barlow and Whitney Rose, who clashed at Angie Katsanevas’ wedding anniversary party. What began as just another “she said, she said” argument between costars made Us reach for our popcorn (and pour a shot of Vida Tequila) when the husbands stepped in to defend their spouses. Justin Rose told security at the party to get John Barlow “the f— away from” him, threatening to “pound his ass.”

According to Heather Gay, the RHOSLC husbands had “never” tried to fight their wives’ battles on camera before — but Justin vs. John wasn’t even the only confrontation to be featured this season. Shawn Trujillo, married to Katsanevas, and Meredith’s husband, Seth Marks, entered a sparring match of their own during a group dinner in Palm Springs. Seth brought his own “receipts, proof, timeline, screenshots” to the (literal) table, fueling the fire by calling out the “biatches” sitting around him. Us needs Andy Cohen and a Bravo camera for an official mens’ spinoff ASAP.

Personal drama might be hard to avoid as a supporting character on a reality show, but Bravo isn’t the only place bros are dishing out healthy doses of gossip. It turns out, podcasts are an equally popular outlet for men to air their dirty laundry.

Dave Portnoy's Beef With Zach Bryan Goes Way Beyond Brianna Chickenfry

Barstool Sports cofounder Dave Portnoy had plenty to say about his “BFFs” cohost Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia’s breakup from ex Zach Bryan, calling the country singer “a really immature, not confident baby” for his alleged behavior during their relationship. Portnoy got even more eloquent on not one, but two original diss tracks: “Smallest Man” and “Country Diddy.” Yes, it’s a reference to Sean “Diddy” Combs. No, Bryan did not publicly respond. How old school!

SAT 2502 What Weve Noticed
Bravo

Portnoy admitted to being “a little out of my wheelhouse” when it comes to “talking about teenage drama” and claimed he doesn’t have much “interest” in the back-and-forth despite being one of the chief pot-stirrers in the aftermath of LaPaglia’s split. Take it from Us, sports personalities can be just as petty as Housewives.

In the Super Bowl of throwing shade, NFL free agent Isaac Rochell has proven to be a leading passer. Often appearing alongside his wife, influencer Allison Kuch, on her “Sunday Sports Club” podcast, Rochell has given Us an inside look at life as a pro football player — and it isn’t all fun and games. From claiming he turned down a $10,000 bribe to change his jersey number to dropping “homemaker” merch in the middle of NFL kicker Harrison Butker’s highly publicized commencement speech scandal, Rochell is putting the “tea” in TDs.

So while society may try to convince Us that men and women are inherently different, the willingness of even the most masculine personalities to stir the pot every now and then — cameras not required, but usually preferred — proves pettiness is gender neutral.

Justin Baldoni’s lawyer is speaking out amid the actor’s drama with It Ends With Us costar Blake Lively. Confirming that Baldoni, 40, “absolutely” has plans to countersue Lively, 37, attorney Bryan Freedman told NBC News’ Liz Kreutz in a new interview that Baldoni had no intentions of coordinating a smear campaign against the actress despite her allegations otherwise. “One hundred percent no,” Freedman claimed. “Justin Baldoni, from the get-go, said, ‘I don’t want to do anything negative toward her. I don’t want to hurt her.’” Freedman previously denied Lively’s “outrageous” claims in a statement to Us Weekly after she accused Baldoni of sexual harassment on the set of their movie, which debuted last summer. Baldoni subsequently filed a $250 million lawsuit against The New York Times for libel regarding their reporting on Lively’s accusations. Lively’s attorney, meanwhile, insisted in a statement to Us that “nothing in [Baldoni’s] lawsuit changes anything about the claims” she brought forward as a spokesperson for The Times stood by their reporting. What's in Store for Timothee Chalamet and More Capricorns This Year?

2 January 2025 at 06:00

Capricorns kick off the new year, and according to renowned astrologer Susan Miller, the 10th zodiac sign has plenty to look forward to.

Born on December 27, Timothée Chalamet ended 2024 on a high with the release of his movie A Complete Unknown. The actor has “Jupiter as the highest point in his progressed chart,” Miller exclusively reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly, on stands now. “His stock is going up.”

Chalamet’s career is “on fire,” as is his love life. Amid his relationship with Kylie Jenner, Miller says Chalamet’s “house of true love is lit up. He’s happy this year.”

Dolly Parton, for her part, celebrates her birthday on January 19 and was “born for entertainment.” Miller points to the country singer’s natal moon being in Leo. With her creativity “blossoming like a rose,” the astrologer advises Parton to strike while the iron is hot. “Some of her best creative inspiration that she’s had in a decade is happening now,” she tells Us.

Which Taylor Swift 'TTPD' Song You Are, Based on Your Zodiac Sign

Fellow musician John Legend, meanwhile, would make a “great psychiatrist” due to his three planets in Sagittarius. “He’s a careful, thoughtful observer of character,” Miller shares.

For the multi-talented performer, born December 28, the sky’s the limit when it comes to making money. “[There’s] no ceiling at all — he should keep creating,” Miller tells Us.

Scroll on for a breakdown of Miller’s predictions for Capricorns this year, from career moves to love lives:

What Capricorns Are Really Like

Those born between December 22 and January 19 are trustworthy, ambitious and financially savvy. “Capricorn is a big money sign,” Miller tells Us. “They know how to invest, do their due diligence and [won’t] squander their earnings.” Capricorns, represented by the sea goat, are also notorious for ferociously safeguarding their reputation. “They do whatever they can to protect it,” the astrologer adds. “If anyone says anything about them that’s not true, they will fiercely stand up for themselves.”

Work and Career

Capricorns’ professional lives are ruled by Venus, and the planet — which also rules profit — goes into retrograde from March 1 to April 12. (Venus isn’t the only one, Miller explains: “We have on retrograde after another, [including] Mercury and Mars.”) As such, take heed when it comes to business. Caps “should think carefully about their next career move during that six-week period,” Miller cautions. “Venus is associated with money — when Venus sleeps, profits suffer.”

Relationships

Good news! According to Miller, now is the perfect time for the Earth sign — who had the “best love aspects” in early 2024 — to connect. “If they’re still going out with someone they met last year, that is the right person [for them],” Miller advises. If you’re looking to seal the deal, do so in the 12 months between June 9, 2025, and June 30, 2026, when Jupiter spends time in Cancer. “That’s the very best time for Capricorn to get engaged or married” — and if you’re already spoken for, expect “much success, prosperity and health in the marriage.” Either way, Miller tells Us, this is a “golden” time for Caps and romance.

What to Watch For

Looking to purchase a new home? Capricorns may have trouble finding the perfect property that fits their needs. “It could be that they are discarding that opportunity because it doesn’t feel right,” Miller shares. Listen to your gut — and wait until after September 1, when Saturn goes into the house of home. Capricorns will “probably get their best deal” then, the astrologer predicts, as interest rates fall.

A Tale of Two Kates

It was written in the stars that both Princess Kate Middleton (January 9, 1982) and Kate Moss (January 16, 1974) would be leaders. Middleton’s Leo rising means she was “born for this role,” Miller explains, noting the sign signifies royalty, and with multiple planets in her sixth house (the house of service), she was destined “to serve others with dignity and a joyful spirit.” Meanwhile, Moss has an unprecedented five planets in Sagittarius, with most in the house of friendship, social groups, charities and humanitarian. “There’s a humanitarian cause that she might feel compelled to spearhead,” Miller says. “She sees the need to help areas of society that others overlook. It might have to do with endangered animals or the environment.”

Jennifer Lopez hinted at experiencing ups and downs in her personal life while discussing her role in the movie Unstoppable.

Lopez, 55, recently opened up to Variety about how she related to her character in the biopic, which highlights the life and career of wrestler Anthony Robles. Lopez portrays Anthony’s mom, Judy Robles, whose son was born without his right leg.

“I tell her all the time, ‘You need to own who you are and what you’ve done,'” Lopez said. “You’re inspiring every mother who has ever struggled. You really have triumphed. You’ve raised a son who has become a leader, and you deserve credit.’ But she’s very humble.”

Lopez noted that she and Judy felt like “kindred spirits,” adding, “We both grew up Latina in this country. We both had children and have hopes and dreams for them. We both had challenging relationships, which left us holding our families together.”

As single mom Judy supported her son’s wrestling journey — Anthony won the 2011 NCAA individual wrestling national championship in his weight class — she chased big dreams of her own. She went back to school, eventually becoming associate athletic director at Arizona State University, the same college her son attended.

Lopez, meanwhile, faced her own highs and lows with the added challenge of being in the public eye. She was previously married to Ojani Noa in 1997 and to Cris Judd from 2001 to 2003. Amid her split from Judd, Lopez moved on with Ben Affleck, to whom she was engaged until 2004. The pair called off their wedding due to heightened media attention.

Lopez was subsequently married to Marc Anthony for 10 years from 2004 to 2014. The former couple coparent 16-year-old twins Emme and Max.

Following the end of her engagement to Alex Rodriguez in 2021, Lopez and Affleck, 52, rekindled their romance. The twosome got engaged once again in 2022 and held two wedding ceremonies later that year, exchanging vows in Las Vegas before celebrating with friends and family in Georgia. (Affleck was previously married to Jennifer Garner, with whom he shares three children.)

Jennifer Lopez on Being the 'Best' Mom While ‘Struggling’ in Relationships

Us Weekly confirmed in August 2024 that Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck after two years of marriage. A source exclusively revealed one month later that “there’s still a lot of love” between the exes despite their split.

Affleck made his appreciation for Lopez known in November 2024 while praising Lopez’s performance in Unstoppable, which he produced. “Jennifer is spectacular,” he told Entertainment Tonight.

Discussing her role with Variety, Lopez highlighted the “strength” Judy displayed throughout her life. “Women are strong,” she explained. “We have to be. From the minute women are born, we’re always having to prove ourselves, to show we’re good enough. That creates a type of strength. And then a lot of us give birth — and there’s nothing that makes you stronger than doing that.”

It wasn’t a bad thing,” the Summer House star said on “The Giggly Squad” podcast. “I think we both were just being really mature and saying what we want and what we didn’t want, and I think that’s extremely powerful to be able to voice how you’re feeling in real time and what you want for your future.” DeSorbo added that she still has “so much love and respect” for Conover, referring to him as “one of the best people” she’s ever met, but she insisted that the breakup “is the right decision for both of us.” Keep reading for more of Us Weekly’s top stories:

5 Suspects Charged in Connection to Liam Payne's Death: Report

30 December 2024 at 05:19

Multiple people have reportedly been charged in connection to Liam Payne‘s death at age 31.

According to a local news outlet in Argentina, five charges have been made. Payne’s friend Roger Nores is among those facing manslaughter charges, along with Esteban Grassi, a receptionist at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel, and the hotel’s head of security Gilda Martin.

Braian Paiz, a waiter, and CasaSur employee Ezequiel Pereyra were charged with allegedly supplying drugs to Payne ahead of his death, per the report. All five of those charged were summoned to appear in court.

News broke in November that three charges were made in connection to Payne’s death. The prosecutor’s office announced at the time that the three individuals were charged with abandonment leading to death and the supply and facilitation of narcotics. Depositions and arrests were requested in a 180-page indictment, which detailed attempts to “reconstruct the days Payne spent” at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel.

Everything to Know About Liam Payne's Death Investigation

Nine raids were conducted in Buenos Aires City, and investigators gathered testimonies from hotel staff, family, friends and medical professionals. More than 800 hours of footage from security cameras and other public cameras were reviewed amid the investigation. The prosecutors found “clear evidence of at least four instances of narcotics supply from third parties and other facilitation of addictive consumption by Payne’s direct circle during his stay at the hotel between October 13 and 16.”

Payne was found dead on October 16 after falling from a third-floor hotel balcony. A preliminary autopsy cited “multiple traumas” as the cause of Payne’s death, including hemorrhages in his chest, skull and abdomen, and multiple drugs were reportedly found in his system. The incident was not ruled a suicide.

Nores previously spoke out regarding his alleged involvement in Payne’s death, telling the Daily Mail in November that he “never abandoned” the former One Direction singer. “There were over 15 people at the hotel lobby chatting and joking with him when I left. I could have never imagined something like this would happen. … I’m really heartbroken with this tragedy, and I’ve been missing my friend every day,” he claimed.

Earlier this month, Nores reportedly filed a complaint alleging that the CasaSur Palermo Hotel didn’t properly protect Payne during his stay. “A world-famous person was staying with obvious signs of being going through a crisis caused by drug intake at that very moment, and they did not even make an effort there to make up for their legal omission of having a 24-hour doctor,” read documents obtained by TMZ.

Nores claimed that the hotel manager was aware that Payne was intoxicated and argued a doctor should have been present from the time the singer checked in. He further accused the staff of doing nothing to help Payne before his fatal fall.

Liam Payne's Friend Blames Argentina Hotel for Singer's Death: Report

In a subsequent court filing obtained by Rolling Stone, Nores testified about Payne’s history with drug use. “I was a friend who loved him very much, who helped him selflessly in everything I could, who spent my own money to help him, and even then it was not enough,” he claimed. “I do not consider that I deserve the accusation that is being leveled at me.”

Nores claimed that Payne was previously “close to death” following an incident in September 2023 that left him hospitalized in Milan. He was allegedly hospitalized twice more in London that year.

“Professionals had to resort to resuscitation maneuvers to save his life, without his family or friends being able to do anything to avoid these situations or help him,” Nores claimed.

Payne was laid to rest in England one month after his death. He is survived by his parents, sisters and son Bear, whom he shared with ex Cheryl Cole.

Yankees' Aaron Judge and Wife Samantha Bracksieck's Relationship Timeline

27 December 2024 at 06:05

Aaron Judge and Samantha Bracksieck try to keep their marriage out of the spotlight, but their chemistry can’t be hidden.

The New York Yankees outfielder and Bracksieck began their romance as high school sweethearts, dating on and off as teenagers before drifting apart. They reportedly rekindled their flame in 2019 and have been going strong ever since.

Through all the highs and lows of his career, Bracksieck has remained Judge’s No. 1 fan. The couple have been spotted together at several sporting events over the years. While Judge is active on social media, he hardly gives glimpses of his life at home with Bracksieck.

The pair exchanged vows in December 2021 at the Montage Kapalua Bay hotel in Lahaina, Hawaii, but the MLB All-Star has never shared any photos from the big day with his fans. Bracksieck, for her part, doesn’t appear to have any public-facing social media accounts.

'Happy Gilmore 2' Teaser Offers Glimpse at Travis Kelce's Mystery Role

25 December 2024 at 09:15

Breaking Down Travis Kelce Career Moves Off the Football Field

Travis Kelce has no plans to leave the NFL anytime soon, but he’s already making major career moves off the football field.

Fans have seen a different side of the Kansas City Chiefs tight end since he began hosting the “New Heights” podcast with his brother, Jason Kelce, in 2022. Along with dissecting the highs and lows of each week’s games throughout the NFL season, the siblings have revisited childhood memories, interviewed family members and fellow football stars and even started a love story. (Us will never forget where we were when Travis first spoke about wanting to give Taylor Swift a friendship bracelet at the Eras Tour in July 2023.)

Podcasting isn’t the only side project keeping Travis busy, however. As his star has continued to rise outside of the NFL universe, he’s nabbed roles on both the big and small screens — and has even launched his own music festival.

Though he’s expanded his career horizons, Chiefs fans don’t need to worry about Travis retiring just yet. In April 2024, he signed a two-year contract extension worth $34.25 million, guaranteeing his spot on the roster until 2027 and becoming the highest-paid tight end in the NFL.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce by the Numbers: How Much Are They Worth?

“I can’t put a time frame on it,” he told reporters about retirement ahead of the 2024-2025 season. “I love coming to work every single day. Obviously, I know that there’s opportunities outside of football for me, and I think you have to keep in perspective that I’m still a little kid when I come into this building.”

Scroll down for a guide to all of Travis’ projects outside of the NFL:

‘New Heights’ Podcast

Us regularly tunes in to the Kelce brothers’ podcast for their hot takes on all things football and beyond (and for any subtle nods to Travis’ love life, of course). The show has won multiple awards since its 2022 launch, and news broke in August 2024 that the siblings landed a nine-figure deal with Amazon’s Wondery ahead of their third season.

“We couldn’t be more excited to team up with Wondery for the next phase of New Heights,” the cohosts noted in a statement. “We love this show, and the fanbase that has grown with us over the last two seasons. Wondery understands the shared vision and will offer a wealth of experience and resources to take us to New Heights! We are going to create some groundbreaking moments together through this partnership. We are thrilled to start Season 3 – see you soon, 92%ers!”

‘Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?’

News broke in March 2024 that Travis signed on to host a reboot of Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader? One month later, Us exclusively confirmed the title of the Amazon Prime competition series — Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? — with an insider sharing that Travis is a “perfect” fit for the gig. The series premieres October 16, 2024.

‘Grotesquerie’

Travis confirmed via Instagram in May 2024 that he was cast in a new Ryan Murphy FX horror series. “Steppin into a new world with one of the legends!” he captioned a clip of himself with costar Niecy Nash.

Further details about his role were kept under wraps, but fans got their first glimpse of Travis’ acting chops in an August 2024 teaser. Grotesquerie premieres on FX September 25, 2024.

‘Happy Gilmore’ Sequel

First look at Travis Kelce in Happy Gilmore 2 710

Travis hinted during a May 2024 episode of “New Heights” that he’d “do anything” for the chance to share the screen with Adam Sandler after rumors swirled that the athlete would appear in the sequel to Happy Gilmore. Three months later, Sandler confirmed Travis’ involvement.

“He’s a very nice guy. You guys would love him in real life. What a big, handsome guy,” Sandler said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in August 2024. “Funny and cool as hell. He’s a stud and he’s so funny.”

1587 Prime Restaurant

The hospitality group Noble 33 announced in March 2024 that Travis was teaming up with Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes to open a steakhouse in Kansas City called 1587 Prime, in reference to their jersey numbers. Travis gushed over the “unbelievable opportunity” in an interview with People one month later.

“[It’s] just another thing that we want to bring to Kansas City, to be able to show our appreciation for the city, knowing how much they love their food and how much they love their football,” he said.

Garage Beer

In June 2024, Travis and his brother partnered with Garage Beer as new investors, owners and operators. The brand is based in Ohio, where the Kelces grew up.

“We love beer that tastes like beer,” Jason said on an episode of “New Heights” while announcing the new venture. “We like beer that doesn’t take itself too seriously. … It’s the workin’ man’s beer, take it from us.”

Kelce Jam

Travis launched his music festival in 2023, bringing pal Machine Gun Kelly and more major artists to headline the event in Kansas City. When the festival returned in the spring of 2024, the lineup included Diplo, 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne.

“I do this for me. I have fun doing this,” Travis exclusively told Us at the festival in May 2024. “This is a part of me having fun for me. Yeah, I love just being around KC. The people here are unbelievable. And on top of that, man, I got all my friends and family and my business team with me gearing up for this, this just unbelievable evening.”

Mormons Ruled TV in 2024: From 'DWTS' to 'Secret Lives of Mormon Wives'

24 December 2024 at 16:00

Reality TV was at its best in 2024, and Us has just one request going into the new year: more Mormons, please.

Hulu’s The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives debuted with a bang in September, joining Dancing With the Stars and The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City in representing Utah on the small screen. Viewers were quickly captivated by the MomTok influencers featured on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, including Taylor Frankie Paul, who previously sparked interest with her soft swinging scandal long before cameras started rolling on the Hulu series.

“We’re not all swingers,” costar Whitney Leavitt exclusively told Us Weekly in September, joking that she “just took the clout” from Taylor’s scandal despite not being directly involved.

Fellow MomTok personality Mayci Neely doubled down on the swinger denial but noted that there’s more to Mormon culture than meets the eye. “You can be Mormon and wear a crop top and leggings as well,” she said. ”You don’t have to be perfect. You don’t have to be the stereotypical Mormon that people think we’re all supposed to be.”

What ‘RHOSLC’ Stars Have Said About ‘Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives certainly showed a different side of women in Salt Lake City — but it’s not the only reality show putting the LDS lifestyle front and center. Scroll down for a look at how Mormons stole the TV spotlight in 2024:

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City

RHOSLC Mormons Ruled TV in 2024
The cast of ‘The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’: Angie Katsanevas, Mary Cosby, Lisa Barlow, Heather Gay, Meredith Marks, Bronwyn Newport, and Whitney Rose.

RHOSLC has brought its A-game since the beginning, but something shifted at the end of season 4. The bombshell finale aired in January and showed what might go down in history as the Housewives dinner to end all dinners. Heather Gay designed her very own Bermuda Triangle as the women wrapped up their tropical vacation with a dramatic confrontation. “Receipts, proof, timelines, screenshots. F—ing everything” was brought to the table, revealing Monica Garcia was one of the masterminds behind the social media account Reality Von Tease.

The drama continued in a three-part reunion special — which even included a Mean Girls-inspired Burn Book — and kept Us on the edge of our seats before the show returned for season 5 in September. Monica didn’t come back with her fellow Housewives, but a few new faces joined the ranks: Bronwyn Newport and Britani Bateman.

The stakes have been higher than ever throughout season 5 — and even the husbands are getting involved in fighting their spouses’ battles. Heather gave Us some exclusive insight into how the season ends, teasing in December that the finale is “better than Bermuda.” Sign Us up.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives

Hulu introduced Us to MomTok in September, and our lives have never been the same. This show has everything — TikTok dances, soft swinging, a devout Mormon threatening to divorce his wife if she goes to a Chippendales performance. One Mormon influencer considers taking a sponsorship deal for a vibrator, while another admits to trying ketamine therapy. And yes, the “Utah curls” are basically a character in and of themselves.

The series was quickly renewed for a second season and caught the attention of some other famous Mormons. “If you’re wondering what the blue coat [from the opening credits] is in the Mormon Church, there’s literally nothing that that has to do with,” Lindsay Arnold, a DWTS pro from Utah, joked in a September TikTok video sharing her reaction to the reality show.

Why Are So Many 'DWTS' Pros Mormon? Utah Ballroom Culture Explained

Sister Wives star Janelle Brown, who was also born into a Mormon family, told Us in October that she did a “deep dive” into the lore of the Hulu series. “The Mormons I know, they’re so conservative,” she explained to Us. “They’re very salt of the earth, very traditional. These ladies are not traditional.”

Dancing With the Stars

Mormons have always had a prominent presence on the ABC ballroom dance competition, but the Utah connection was even more powerful during season 33, which began in September. Two months later, there were still eight dancers representing Utah on both the pro and troupe levels. “Utah gang in THE ballroom❤️‍🔥,” troupe member Stephani Sosa captioned a TikTok video in November alongside her brother Ezra Sosa and more DWTS pros, including Jenna Johnson, Rylee Arnold and Brandon Armstrong.

Us previously dug into why there are so many DWTS pros with Mormon backgrounds, and for Armstrong, the answer is simple. “There’s nothing else to do,” he joked during an October podcast interview. “What else do you do? You talk about our biggest cities, like Salt Lake, ain’t nothing there. … You play sports, go to school, date super young — these guys get married when they’re 19, 20 years old — and then you dance.”

Sold on SLC

Sold on SLC Mormons Ruled TV in 2024
The cast of ‘Sold on SLC’: Tyna Edwards, Malaysia Fua, Jennifer Yeo, Sarah Martindale, Kenny Sperry, and Matt Jones.

The Selling Sunset-esque reality show is new to Bravo’s rotation, having just premiered in December, but it’s already packing a punch. The first episode alone featured a cameo from RHOSLC star Lisa Barlow (complete with a joke about swingers) and a fight between colleagues about who does or doesn’t respect Mormons enough. While the world of real estate gets cutthroat in Salt Lake City, the tension is offset by footage of agents reading scripture with their kids and the network’s classic tongue-in-cheek editing. In some ways, Sold on SLC could even qualify as educational programming — who knew Mormon clients won’t show their homes to potential buyers on Sundays?

How Sold on SLC stacks up against other Mormon-inspired heavy hitters remains to be seen, but there’s definitely enough drama to keep Us tuning in.

Travis Kelce Thinks 'Love Actually' Has 'Nothing to Do With Christmas'

Travis Kelce Thinks Love Actually Has Nothing to Do With Christmas
Travis Kelce

Travis Kelce has no shame admitting he’s a Love Actually fan, but he doesn’t think it’s a Christmas movie.

Travis, 35, and his brother, Jason Kelce, were joined by Kylie Kelce on the Tuesday, December 24, episode of “New Heights” to give their reviews of the holiday classic. Kylie, 32, referred to Love Actually as “one of my favorite movies, period,” but Jason, 37, wasn’t quite convinced.

“Jason, you might be the oddball out here. I actually enjoyed Love Actually,” Travis said, prompting Jason to clarify that “it’s not an unenjoyable movie to watch.”

According to Jason, “the Christmas aspect” is lacking in the movie, which famously takes place during the holiday season. “And then also, the overall sentiment and lessons and overall values that it expounds are absolutely horrendous,” he continued. “But we’ll dive into that.”

Kylie Kelce Thanks Travis for Having Her Back in Jason's Jeans Debate

Kylie emphasized once again that she “really” loves the movie, joking, “I can’t wait for [Jason] to sit here and s— on it for the next 10 minutes.”

And that’s exactly what he did. Jason even went so far as to call Love Actually “the worst Christmas movie I’ve ever seen,” and Travis agreed that there was a certain amount of holiday spirit missing from the story.

Travis Kelce Thinks Love Actually Has Nothing to Do With Christmas
Emma Thompson and William Wadham in ‘Love Actually.’

“I didn’t feel Christmas at all during the movie,” Travis said. “I enjoyed the movie, I just didn’t understand how much it really tied into Christmas.”

For Kylie, Love Actually excels in the way it tells several stories in one film. Jason and Travis proceeded to pick apart each of those story lines in a chaotic retelling of the plot, highlighting Liam Neeson and Thomas Brodie-Sangster‘s characters Daniel and Sam as their favorite. (Kylie and Jason even revealed that their daughter Ellie, 3, started to blush seeing Sam on screen.)

Though she’s a big fan of the movie overall, Kylie admitted that there’s one part of the story that “does not sit right” with her: Mark (Andrew Lincoln) falling in love with his best friend’s wife, Juliet (Keira Knightley). Travis, meanwhile, gave the famous cue card scene his seal of approval.

“That’s, like, the iconic way to do [it],” he said. “That’s, like, the most romantic way to tell someone you’re in love with them, right?”

Kelce Bros Roast Blake Lively's 'Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants' Run

Travis agreed with his sister-in-law that “all these stories tie together,” but he wasn’t so sure that was a good thing. “It’s supposed to make it look like this is what happens in a community,” he continued. “Like, these are all the different love stories [and] this is what’s going on around you. And it’s terrifying ’cause there’s so much scandal in it.”

While some of the twists and turns were a “little far-fetched” for his taste, Travis was still “enjoying following along [with] all the stories.”

The trio went on to rank Love Actually in a handful of categories, from directing and acting to the “amount of Christmas.” Jason and Kylie scored the level of Christmas spirit much higher than Travis did.

“This had nothing to do with Christmas,” he teased. “Both of you are just trying to be generous. That’s not the one I’m gonna be generous on.”

Brandon Sklenar Spotted at Holiday Party Amid 'It Ends With Us' Lawsuit

23 December 2024 at 05:33

It Ends With Us actor Brandon Sklenar chose holiday cheer as Blake Lively‘s lawsuit against their costar and director Justin Baldoni made headlines.

Sklenar, 34, was spotted getting festive with Miles Teller and his wife, Keleigh Teller, along with Chace Crawford and more friends. “Annual white elephant x @drinkolipop 🐘 🎄,” Keleigh, 32, captioned an Instagram photo dump on Sunday, December 22.

She shared a glimpse of holiday decor — including stockings and a dazzling Christmas tree — and included a group shot of the guests. Sklenar could be seen in the back corner as partygoers showed off their gifts.

Sklenar starred alongside Lively, 37, and Baldoni, 40, in the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover‘s popular novel, which hit theaters this summer. As the cast promoted the movie’s release, fans began to wonder whether there was tension between Lively — who also served as a producer — and Baldoni. Despite playing love interests on screen, the pair weren’t seen doing press together or posing with each other on red carpets.

What 'It Ends With Us' Cast Has Said About Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni

“There were two camps on the film — team Blake and team Justin,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly in August. “This creative struggle set the tone for the negative experience behind the scenes and grew into them not speaking anymore.”

While rumors swirled of drama between the two leads, Lively also faced backlash for seemingly downplaying the movie’s domestic violence plot line as she did press. (Her character, Lily, escapes an abusive relationship with Ryle, played by Baldoni, with help from her old flame Atlas, played by Sklenar. She eventually shared domestic violence resources online.)

Sklenar addressed the controversy in a lengthy Instagram statement shared in August, appearing to come to Lively’s defense. “Colleen and the women of this cast stand for hope, perseverance, and for women choosing a better life for themselves. Vilifying the women who put so much of their heart and soul into making this film because they believe so strongly in its message seems counterproductive and detracts from what this film is about,” he wrote at the time. “It is, in fact, the opposite of the point.”

He continued, “What may or may not have happened behind the scenes does not and hopefully should not detract from what our intentions were in making this film. It’s been disheartening to see the amount of negativity being projected online.”

Sklenar insisted that “there isn’t a single person involved in the making of this film” that wasn’t “aware of the responsibility we had in making this,” adding, “This movie is a harsh reality check for the men who need to get their s— together and take responsibility for themselves and their actions.”

Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively seen on set of ‘It Ends with Us.’

Months after It Ends With Us hit theaters, the drama resurfaced. News broke on Saturday, December 21, that Lively sued Baldoni for sexual harassment and “severe emotional distress.”

According to Lively’s complaint, a meeting was held during the film’s production to address some of her concerns regarding a “hostile work environment” on set. She requested that there be “no more showing nude videos or images of women to Blake, no more mention of Baldoni’s alleged previous ‘pornography addiction,’ no more discussions about sexual conquests in front of Blake and others, no further mentions of cast and crew’s genitalia, no more inquiries about Blake’s weight, and no further mention of Blake’s dead father,” as well as “no more adding of sex scenes, oral sex or on camera climaxing by BL outside the scope of the script BL approved when signing onto the project.”

Breaking Down Blake Lively’s Accusations Against Justin Baldoni

Lively further claimed that Baldoni orchestrated a “social manipulation” campaign to “destroy” her reputation. Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, denied the “completely false, outrageous and intentionally salacious” accusations in a statement to Us, claiming Lively filed her complaint in order to “fix her negative reputation.”

In a statement to The New York Times, Lively said neither she nor anyone on her team spread negative information about Baldoni. “I hope that my legal action helps pull back the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics to harm people who speak up about misconduct and helps protect others who may be targeted,” she continued.

Baldoni was reportedly dropped by WME after Lively’s lawsuit made headlines. Sklenar has not addressed the legal drama, but Hoover supported Lively via social media on Saturday.

“Blake Lively you have been nothing but honest, kind, supportive and patient since the day we met,” she wrote. “Thank you for being exactly the human that you are. Never change. Never wilt.”

What 'It Ends With Us' Cast Has Said About Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni

21 December 2024 at 09:13

The cast of It Ends With Us brought the drama on screen — and it seems just as much drama was taking place off camera.

The movie adaptation of Colleen Hoover‘s novel hit theaters in August 2024. Blake Lively was cast as leading lady Lily Bloom, who becomes the victim of domestic violence in her relationship with Ryle Kincaid (Justin Baldoni). As she considers leaving Ryle, a love interest from her childhood returns.

Despite playing the two leading roles, Lively and Baldoni didn’t promote the movie together, quickly causing speculation of tension on set. In December 2024, Lively sued Baldoni for sexual harassment and “severe emotional distress.”

According to the lawsuit, a meeting was held in January 2024 to address some of Lively’s concerns about the film’s production. She requested there be “no more showing nude videos or images of women to Blake, no more mention of Baldoni’s alleged previous ‘pornography addiction,’ no more discussions about sexual conquests in front of Blake and others, no further mentions of cast and crew’s genitalia, no more inquiries about Blake’s weight, and no further mention of Blake’s dead father.”

Everything Justin Baldoni Has Said About Working With Blake Lively

Lively further demanded “no more adding of sex scenes, oral sex or on camera climaxing by BL outside the scope of the script BL approved when signing onto the project.” Lively accused Baldoni of launching a “social manipulation” campaign against her in order to “destroy” her reputation. (Leading up to the film’s release, Lively was criticized online for seemingly ignoring the topic of domestic violence in her promotion. She later shared resources about intimate partner violence via social media.)

Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, called Lively’s accusations “completely false, outrageous and intentionally salacious” in a statement to Us Weekly, claiming Lively filed her lawsuit in order to “fix her negative reputation.”

Lively, for her part, denied in a statement to The New York Times that she spread negative information about Baldoni. “I hope that my legal action helps pull back the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics to harm people who speak up about misconduct and helps protect others who may be targeted,” she said.

Sklenar, who played childhood love interest Atlas, issued a lengthy statement regarding the alleged drama in August 2024. “Colleen [Hoover] and the women of this cast stand for hope, perseverance, and for women choosing a better life for themselves. Vilifying the women who put so much of their heart and soul into making this film because they believe so strongly in its message seems counterproductive and detracts from what this film is about,” he wrote via Instagram, seemingly coming to Lively’s defense amid backlash to her promotion of the movie. “It is, in fact, the opposite of the point.”

Sklenar noted that it felt “disheartening” to see the “negativity” online ahead of the film’s release. The actor further insisted that “there isn’t a single person involved in the making of this film” that wasn’t “aware of the responsibility we had in making this.”

One month later, Sklenar told Access Hollywood that he spoke out because It Ends With Us is “an important film for so many women and for so many survivors of domestic abuse” with the intention of “making people feel heard and strong and loved.” He added, “To project anything but that just seems counterintuitive.”

Slate opened up about the bond she formed with Lively while working together on It Ends With Us, in which she portrayed Allysa, Lily’s best friend and Ryle’s sister.

“I deeply fell in love with her,” Slate told Entertainment Tonight of her costar. “Obviously, I have admired Blake for so long. … [She’s a] deeply trustworthy person who is also willing to share. We had long talks. I was never expecting to have the off-set experience that I had.”

The actress continued, “I was really eager to work with Blake, but to really make a friend and someone who is so capable in so many ways — like, just like a genuine winner … I’m just so grateful for this sweet person.”

Minhaj played Ryle’s brother-in-law in It Ends With Us, and he remained tight-lipped about the rumors during a September 2024 interview with Esquire.

“I can’t speak to other people’s experience, but everybody was very professional and cool to me,” he said. “It was lovely and everybody was lovely, and it is just as disillusioning for me, because I’m like, ‘What happened? Wait, what’s going on?'”

Minhaj called the movie’s success “surreal,” adding, “I don’t think anyone would’ve predicted it. I remember when Justin reached out to me and asked me to be part of the movie; he was so impassioned.”

Amanda Kloots and Sheryl Underwood Hold Space on 'The Talk' Series Finale

The Talk Series Finale Emotional Amanda Kloots Is Comforted by Sheryl Underwood 574

Amanda Kloots wasted no time getting emotional with her fellow cohosts during the series finale of The Talk.

The show came to an end on Friday, December 20, after 15 seasons. Kloots, 42, teared up almost instantly as she joined Sheryl Underwood, Natalie Morales, Jerry O’Connell and Akbar Gbajabiamila on stage one last time. The studio audience erupted into applause, giving the Talk team a lengthy standing ovation.

“Don’t make us get emotional!” Morales, 52, said while Underwood, 61, soaked in the moment. “This is the last time we get this, and we’re gonna get this,” Underwood said.

As the group took their seats, Kloots was seen dabbing her eyes. Underwood sat in the center, reaching out to hold O’Connell’s hand as he thanked the comedian for her guidance through the years. Kloots was next to share a sentimental message.

Every 'The Talk' Host Through the Years and Why They Left

“When I started [on the show], we didn’t have our studio audience because it was Covid,” she recalled. “In fact, the first couple episodes I was in my house over Zoom. … And then we got our studio audience back, the way [Sheryl] lit up. And I was like, ‘Oh, wow. That’s right.’ Like, [the audience is] a part of us. You are our cast as well. And it’s taught me so much.”

As Kloots got emotional, Underwood clutched her hand to give a sense of comfort. The cameras even zoomed in on the heartfelt moment, which reminded Us of another hand-hold taking the internet by storm in recent months.

In November, Wicked costars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo embarked on a meme-worthy press tour to promote the first half of the two-part movie musical. During a junket, the costars chatted with Out magazine’s Tracy Gilchrist, who informed the pair that “people are taking the lyrics of ‘Defying Gravity’ and really holding space with that and feeling power in that.”

Erivo was moved by the remark, and Grande reached out to hold only one of Erivo’s fingers. The moment instantly went viral — but Grande and Erivo were just as confused by the conversation as the rest of Us.

“I didn’t know what any part of it meant,” Grande told Variety earlier this month. “I didn’t understand the first sentence, and then I definitely didn’t understand how [Cynthia] responded. And I just wanted to be there. Because I knew something big was happening, and I didn’t know how to be there.”

Erivo agreed, joking, “After a while, I didn’t know how to be there.”

Following her sweet moment with Underwood on Friday’s finale, Kloots opened up about what being on The Talk has meant to her. (She joined the daytime show in 2021.)

“You know, I have a child,” Kloots said, referring to 5-year-old son Elvis. “And so, coming here every day and being able to talk to four people — five, I’ll include [the audience] because you’re a part of it — about really fun, silly topics to important topics … I’m so grateful for that.”

Kloots struggled to hold back tears, earning an “uh oh” from one of her cohosts. Underwood reached out once again to hold her hand.

“I think we can’t forget that,” Kloots continued. “Like, listen to one another. Talk to one another, don’t fight with each other. Really appreciate each other’s opinions … That’s what this show has always been about. It’s about talking and not fighting. And really, like, being a part of each other’s family.”

O’Connell held out a box of tissues, joking that he would have them at the ready for the rest of the episode. He and his costars exclusively told Us Weekly before the finale that there would likely be some tears shed.

“These are forever friends,” O’Connell said. “I don’t think this is over. It is funny when a job ends though because you have to go out and make plans now to see each other. But it is going to be funny if we see a story that we normally talk about at work. I’m going to be sending it to you guys [in the group chat]!”

Underwood, who joined The Talk in its second season, looked ahead to her next chapter. “We’ve learned a lot from each other. … We came for our time. We did what we needed to do. Now Godspeed to great things,” she told Us.

Slater filed for divorce in July 2023, the same month news broke of his relationship with Wicked costar Ariana Grande. Travis and Jason Kelce Learned the Truth About Santa in Very Different Ways

Jason and Travis Kelce Learned the Truth About Santa in Very Different Ways
Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce

Travis and Jason Kelce looked back on some of their favorite holiday hijinks while counting down to Christmas Day.

During a bonus episode of “New Heights,” released via Wondery+ on Thursday, December 19, the brothers opened their hotline once again to field questions from fans — but this time, they were a little more family friendly. When one caller asked whether it was “traumatic” when the siblings found out Santa Claus isn’t real, Travis, 35, and Jason, 37, revealed they learned the truth in very different ways.

Despite the caller’s assumption, Travis said his older brother didn’t ruin the illusion for him. “Well, Jason didn’t tell me,” Travis confessed. “I figured it out on my own when every single present had mom’s handwriting on it.”

Jason laughed as Travis recalled, “I was like, ‘This is how mom spells all of our names.’ I was just like, ‘What the f—? Where’s the one that’s from Santa and not mom?’ Santa and mom have the same handwriting, that’s crazy.”

Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce's Most Supportive Quotes About Each Other

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end admitted that he was usually “upstairs looking at all the gifts” and later realized that he “didn’t get a gift that wasn’t already upstairs,” calling himself “a little s—.”

Jason, meanwhile, had the spell broken by a classmate. “Somebody told me, and I don’t remember how old I was,” he said. “I was in elementary school. But I remember coming home and asking mom and dad and being sat down and them explaining to me, ‘Unfortunately, it’s not real. But we need you to not tell Travis.'”

Ed and Donna Kelce encouraged their older son not to “ruin it for your brother” who was “still in this deal.” They enlisted Jason’s help in order to keep Travis believing in Santa.

“They had me be a part of aiding and abetting them in their shenanigans after that,” he teased, to which Travis replied, “Nice, everyone team up on Travis. Love that.”

Travis added that he appreciated his parents’ approach. “That’s how you do it,” he said. “I mean, if you want your kids to have a pure heart and believe what you’re feeding them, don’t send them to school.”

Jason then revealed that his friend’s son, who is 7 years old, had the surprise spoiled at school. “He came home and he said, ‘Dad, is Santa real or not?’ And [his dad] said, ‘Son, the Christmas spirit and what Santa Claus represents is very real. What do you think?’ And [his son] said, ‘Yeah, I knew it. I knew it was real.'”

According to Jason — who shares three daughters with wife Kylie Kelce, with a fourth on the way — lying to your children is an important part of parenting. “I have been very adamant about this. … They gotta figure this stuff out on their own,” he continued. “If they can’t figure out the handwriting is the same, how are they gonna go around [in] life?”

The retired NFL player teased, “If I listened to everything Ed Kelce told me, do you know where I’d be?”
