With the Los Angeles Fire Department emblazoned across the chests of coaches and wildfires raging in Southern California back home, the Rams powered through to defeat the Minnesota Vikings 27-9 in the wild-card round of the playoffs.
The game was moved from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif., to State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., because of the fires. However, the fans showed up in full force and were treated to a big victory from the boys in blue and gold.
It really started on defense. The Rams sacked Darnold six times in the first half and three more times in the second half for a total of nine. Jared Verse also recovered a Darnold fumble and returned it 57 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter.
Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford didn’t need to do too much. He was 19-of-27 for 209 yards and two touchdowns. One touchdown was to Kyren Williams and the other was to Davis Allen.
The Super Bowl champion quarterback completed passes to eight different receivers.
The defense reverted Darnold back to the player he looked like earlier in his career. He was late to get passes off and looked indecisive for most of the game.
Despite the great season, he ended the playoff game 25-of-40 with 245 passing yards, a touchdown pass and one interception. His lone score went to tight end T.J Hockenson, who led the team with five catches for 64 yards.
Vikings star Justin Jefferson had five catches for 58 yards.
Los Angeles is back in the divisional round for the fourth time under head coach Sean McVay. The Rams will now hit the road against the Philadelphia Eagles. The two teams will square off on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET.
The Vikings can start their offseason and figure what they’re going to eventually do with Darnold. The veteran quarterback was brought in as an emergency in the offseason after J.J. McCarthy suffered a torn Achilles in training camp.
Now, Minnesota will have to make a decision on whether to give the keys to the Cadillac to McCarthy or keep Darnold around for at least one more season.
“They are the most beautiful, selfless people we’ve ever known,” Moore’s brother-in-law, Griffin Goldsmith, said of the “Lizzie McGuire” star and her husband, Matthew Koma.

Danielle Fishel has officially completed her treatment for breast cancer — but not without some painful side effects.
Fishel, 43, shared she was “officially” done with treatment during the Monday, January 13, episode of her “Pod Meets World” podcast. However, she is now dealing with the painful side effects that come after 20 rounds of radiation.
“I am officially done with radiation,” she told her cohosts and Boy Meets World costars Rider Strong and Will Friedle, before clarifying she was “officially done with what is considered active cancer treatment.” Fishel announced her diagnosis of ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), a form of breast cancer, in August 2024.
“I did 15 rounds of whole breast radiation and then five rounds of targeted radiation, which just means they focus in on the very small area where my cancer was versus treating the entire breast,” she explained.
“It will help significantly lower my chances of recurrence, which is always good news, but, boy, I am feeling the effects … Physically, I have a very bad sunburn,” Fishel continued, before sarcastically adding, “I also have a rash on top of the sunburn, which is just great.”
Fishel, known for her portrayal of Topanga Lawrence on Boy Meets World, told her cohosts that radiation treatment was “relatively easy. You don’t really do anything. You just lay there.”
However, her recovery from radiation has proven to be a bit more difficult. She further described her post-treatment side effects, saying it “hurts to wear a bra, hurts to not wear a bra. It just hurts to sleep on my side, hurts to sleep, period. Hurts to be awake.”
On top of all of that, she said, “It’s very itchy, and, also, you can’t itch it, because if you even come close to touching it, you wanna cry.”
Despite the pain, Fishel is still trying to look on the bright side. “You know what? It’s not gonna last forever,” she said. “Physically, every day now, I’m supposed to be getting better. Fatigue-wise, I am really very stinking tired.”
Her doctors also told her she’d begin to feel better in “two to three months,” and to “work out and drink water.” Fishel joked of her doctor’s orders: “I’m sorry, you want me to be tired and take care of myself?” However, she confirmed that she “did start working out.”
“I worked out yesterday. I’m gonna work out again on Friday because he said all the working out and drinking water helps my body get rid of all the damage that the radiation did,” she continued.
Fishel further told her cohosts that she will begin Tamoxifen, a hormone therapy, once she starts to recover from the radiation. “They didn’t wanna overload me with negative side effects,” she stated.
“There is no evidence of disease, so the surgery was successful and got the cancer out of my body,” she told Today.com in October 2024 following the procedures. “But they call cancer a journey for a reason. It’s not just walk in and have even one procedure and then you’re done.”
It was after this surgery that Fishel began her radiation treatment, telling the outlet at the time she was being “constantly monitored,” which included mammograms every three to six months and the potential of annual MRIs.
“I was so lucky that I found my cancer so early because I went and had my annual mammogram on time,” she said at the time. “I was thinking, like, ‘Great. I caught it early. I can be done with this soon.’ But there really is no ‘done with it.’ And so that has been an emotional and mental process.”

In photos obtained by The Daily Mail on Monday, January 13, the couple were spotted out and about in San Fernando, California. Foster, 49, and Jackman, 56, were photographed in a car while in the drive-thru line at a local In and Out.
While they waited for their meal, Jackman and Foster seemingly couldn’t keep their hands off each other. The pair shared several kisses as they sat in the front seat of the vehicle. Jackman was on the driver’s side while Foster sat in the passenger’s seat.
Foster and Jackman were also photographed in a parking structure, where they also shared multiple smooches. Before Foster got into the car, Jackman came up to her and gave her a hug and a kiss on the lips. Foster returned the kiss by caressing the Deadpool and Wolverine star’s cheek.
After the passionate embrace, Foster got into the automobile. The pair’s outing took place prior to the Los Angeles wildfires, per the outlet.
Earlier this month, Jackman and Foster subtly confirmed their relationship. Jackman was spotted supporting Foster during the West Coast run of Once Upon a Mattress. A few days later, the twosome were seen holding hands while on a date in Los Angeles, per pics obtained by People. The outlet also reported that Foster and Jackman enjoyed dinner together in Santa Monica.
Us Weekly confirmed in November 2024 that Jackman and Foster were dating. Sources told Us at the time that a romance blossomed between the Broadway stars when they worked together on The Music Man the year prior.
While working on the revival of the classic musical, both Jackman and Foster were married to other people. Jackman and longtime love Debora-Lee Furness tied the knot in 1996 but called it quits in September 2023 after 27 years of marriage.
“We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,” Jackman and Furness said in a joint statement at the time. “Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth. Our family has been and always will be our highest priority.”
The exes share two adult children. Foster, for her part, filed for divorce from Tim Griffin in October 2024. She and Griffin share daughter Emily, whom they welcomed via adoption.
According to a source, Foster and Jackman’s relationship was “the reason Hugh and Deb got divorced.”
“A lot of people on Broadway knew, and we kept it quiet because both of them are so nice and great people,” the insider claimed to Us in November 2024. “Everyone respected their privacy. But there was an affair and overlap.”

Chiefs Kingdom will welcome back its most famous member for this weekend’s playoff showdown against the Houston Texans.
Travis Kelce confirmed that girlfriend Taylor Swift, 35, will be in attendance when the Chiefs host the Texans at Arrowhead Stadium in the NFL Divisional round on Saturday, January 18.
“You know it, baby,” Kelce, 35, said Monday, January 13 on ESPN’s The Pat McAfee Show. “You know it’s playoff football, man.”
Swift was present for all four of the Chiefs’ playoff victories last season, including their Super Bowl win over the San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
“I just want to let you know what live bettors do,” McAfee, 37, told Kelce. “They see her walk into that stadium, [they] immediately open the phone like, ‘Yep, Chiefs are about to win.’ That is just literally the feel.”
The pop star attended seven Chiefs home games during the 2024-2025 season, with Kansas City winning every one. She last appeared at the team’s December 21 victory over the Texans, who the Chiefs will face after Houston defeated the Los Angeles Chargers in the NFL Wild Card round on Sunday, January 12.
Kelce sat out the Chiefs’ regular season finale on January 5 against the Denver Broncos after Kansas City clinched the No. 1 seed in the AFC, and he told McAfee he’s itching to get back to action — while using a Swift lyric in the process.
| Travis on the PatMcAfee Show where they discussed Taylor’s aura that will definitely be present during play-off football, Travis hinting at Taylor’s new music and how he supports her in the creation process as well as how electric The Eras tour was!
“I’m feeling fired up,” Kelce said. “I’m feeling 22 all over again, baby. Let’s go.”
McAfee then sang some of the lyrics to Swift’s song “22,” from her 2012 album Red, while waving his arms back-and-forth.
Kelce smiled and said, “I was hoping you caught the reference, baby.”
McAfee complimented Kelce on being a “gentleman,” a stark contrast to all the “f—boys” Swift has dated in the past. When asked if Swifties can expect any love songs about Kelce in the near future, the superstar tight end remained coy.
“There might be a few, I don’t know,” Kelce said. “There might be a few.”
When McAfee asked if he had “heard any,” Kelce laughed and said, “You know I can’t say any of that.”
“I’ll never chime in, but I’m here to support it,” Kelce added. “I’m here to see where it can go, you know what I mean?”
McAfee, a former punter for the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts, also marveled at seeing the Eras Tour at Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium in November 2024. Kelce, who attended the third and final Indianapolis show, was in full agreement.
“I thought the European crowds were crazy, but I’ll tell you what man. Lucas Oil, I got to go to the last night up there in Indy, and they were lit,” Kelce recalled fondly. “They were going nuts. I’ve seen that thing rocking when the Colts are playing, they might have had that thing rocking even more.”

Taylor’s brother, Griffin Goldsmith, revealed that Duff and Koma, both 37, have taken in Moore, 40, and Taylor, 39, — as well as their three children: Gus, 3, Oscar, 2, and Lou, 3 months. (Duff and Koma, for their part, share children Banks, 6, Mae, 3, and Townes, 20 months. Duff is also mom to son Luca, 12, whom she shares with ex Mike Comrie.)
“Our dear friends @matthewkoma and @hilaryduff thought it wise to set up a gofundme for us to help with everything moving forward,” Griffin, 34, wrote via Instagram on Sunday, January 13. “Not to mention they are currently housing my brother’s family. They’ve taken care of my entire family from the moment this began. I will never be able to thank them adequately. This is the kindest act any human could do for another. They are the most beautiful, selfless people we’ve ever known.”
Tens of thousands of people were forced to evacuate due to the Los Angeles wildfires, which began after a windstorm sparked brush fires on January 7. Moore shared on January 9 that her home with Taylor had been destroyed in the fire. While the “main part” of their residence is still standing, it is “not livable.” She also noted at the time that Griffin and Kit lost their home, as well.
While reflecting on the wildfires in his Monday post, Griffin shared a carousel of photos via Instagram on January 12 of the destruction.
“It’s Impossible to express how much we’re feeling right now,” Griffin wrote. “We’ve lost everything. 8 years of memories made in our house. 20 years of gear. My wife @quintessentiallykit was applying the finishing touches to the nursery for our baby boy who’s due in a few weeks. She had, throughout the years, poured her heart and soul into making the property a literal piece of paradise. Anyone who had the chance the visit can attest.”
Griffin continued, “We often would say to each other ‘I want to live together in this house for the rest of our lives’. We had convinced our whole family and closest friends to join us in Altadena. Our parents were around the corner. They lost their house as well.”
Griffin, who’s married to Kit Goldsmith, noted that Taylor and Moore are “just down the street” while the couple’s other loved ones live blocks away.
“All of these houses are gone. The thing we mourn the most is the loss of the community,” he wrote. “Unfortunately, we aren’t the only people reckoning with this. We’ve all had to watch our home, the city we love so much, transform overnight into an infernal hellscape. And it’s by no means over….”
Griffin called the situation “so overwhelming” before noting that it’s “equally overwhelming” to see the love and generosity they have received. Griffin extended his gratitude to everyone who donated to their fund.
“I’ve never been so moved in my life. We are completely blown away. I can’t talk or think about it without crying,” he wrote. “Like I said there aren’t words to describe how I feel. I’m doing my best. You all have completely changed what the picture of our future in Los Angeles looks like.”
Griffin continued his emotional post in the comments section, noting that he and his wife have confidence they “will be OK” as they begin parenthood.
“This baby will be born into a fractured Los Angeles. But because of you all he will be met with warmth and love and comfort,” he wrote. “I’m so buoyed by everyone’s generosity. It allows me to believe that we can build back the neighborhood so that it is stronger and more beautiful than before.”
He continued, “There are so many people that need help and I know based on our own experience that so many are motivated to help. We are too. I love you all. I’m sorry I haven’t been able to respond to texts. There have been too many.”
Griffin pledged to continue to help those affected by the wildfires “in whatever way we can,” noting that his and Taylor’s band Dawes “will be involved in raising money for the community when the dust has settled.”
In his slideshow of images, Griffin shared a picture of a CD burned on the ground. That last photo of the burned record was taken by Wylie,” he wrote. “It was one of the few things he found in the ashes of his own home.”
Since the fires began, Moore has been asking her followers to consider donating to Griffin and Kit’s GoFundMe to support the family. After receiving backlash for sharing the fundraiser, Moore hit back.
“[For] people questioning whether we’re helping out our own family or attributing some arbitrary amount of money Google says someone has is NOT helpful or empathetic,” Moore wrote via Instagram on January 9. “Of course we are. Our buddy Matt started this GoFundMe and I’m sharing because people have asked how they can help them.”
Moore reminded her followers that “no one is forcing you to do anything,” adding, “We just lost most of our life in a fire too. Kindly F OFF.”

One of my New Year’s resolutions should’ve been to get better at cleaning. This menial task is the bane of my existence — I may live in a 450-square-foot apartment, but I swear it takes four hours to properly clean the place. I don’t think tidying up and scrubbing the floors is something I’ll ever take joy in, though I recently discovered one product that makes mopping — dare I say it — enjoyable.
The Swiffer PowerMop has been a total game-changer when it comes to keeping my apartment sparkling. Instead of having to fill a bucket with soapy water and lug it around, this handy, lightweight mop sprays out the cleaning agent with the press of a button, making the process easier and faster. Plus, the scent of the cleaner feels totally revitalizing, like I’m walking through a field of fresh flowers.
Much like the original Swiffer (which is one cleaning tool I’ve used for over a decade), the PowerMop features a swivel head that makes it seamless to maneuver around furniture and in hard-to-reach spaces, like under the couch. But one of the best attributes is that it works on various surfaces, including wood and tile.
“I saw a commercial for this mop the other day going from tile to hardwood and thought I’d try it out. So glad I did,” writes one happy customer. “It just came today and, in all honesty, my floors have never been this clean…especially the hardwood. I have been getting down on my hands and knees to clean the tile for years. Done with that.”
Another mentions how easy it is to reach tight corners thanks to the swivel head. “The swivel head makes it easy to maneuver around furniture and corners, while the disposable cloths effortlessly pick up dust, dirt, and pet hair,” they explain. “I love how quickly I can clean my floors without having to bend down or deal with messy buckets. The Swiffer PowerMop has made keeping my floors clean a breeze!”
With the Swiffer PowerMop, I actually look forward to cleaning. When it comes time to bust this out, I turn on my jams and glide through my apartment in record time. One thing’s for sure: My home has never felt fresher, and it’s all thanks to Swiffer.
