Looking Back at Viral Jumbotron Moments Amid Andy Byron's Kiss Cam Scandal

18 July 2025 at 12:43

Thanks to social media, what happens on the Jumbotron doesn’t always stay in the arena or stadium.

The big screens have long been a mainstay at concerts and sporting events, often used to highlight couples in the crowd for “kiss cam” segments or to showcase other fan moments.

And sometimes, they stir the pot. Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and his coworker Kristin Cabot, the company’s Chief People Officer, seemingly had their extramarital affair exposed via Jumbotron while watching Coldplay perform at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts, on July 16, 2025.

Andy, who is married to Megan Kerrigan Byron, according to multiple outlets, had his arms wrapped around Kristin when the kiss cam stopped on the pair during the concert. Once the two realized they were on camera, Andy dropped his arms from Kristin’s waist and ducked out of the Jumbotron’s view, while Kristin pulled her hands to her face and turned around.

Coldplay Accidentally Exposes an Alleged Affair

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin immediately realized what might have been going on between Andy and Cabot when he saw them on the kiss cam.

“Whoa, look at these two. Alright, come on. You’re OK,” Martin told the crowd as the pair tried to hide their faces. “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy. I’m not quite sure what to do. Holy s***. I hope we didn’t do something bad.”

After that moment, the kiss cam moved to another couple, and Martin asked them, “OK, now listen, are you two a couple? Are you two a legitimate couple?” They nodded, and the musician said, “OK, good,” before he started to play the band’s song “Fix You,” as seen in fan footage shared online.

Why the World Is Obsessed With Coldplay’s Jumbotron Affair Drama

A 4-Year-Old Becomes a Jumbotron Sensation at Hockey Game

If there’s one thing people love, it’s a kid on a Jumbotron. A 4-year-old boy named Brayden Yorke went viral in April 2025 for his appearances on the big screen at an Anaheim Ducks game against the Calgary Flames. Every time he appeared on camera, he flashed a huge smile and pumped his fists, and the crowd went absolutely wild. It was nothing short of adorable. Brayden even got to meet the team afterward, according to Storyful Viral.

Taylor Swift Reacts to Being Booed on the Jumbotron at Super Bowl LIX

You can’t put Taylor Swift on a Jumbotron and not expect the moment to go viral. During the 2025 Super Bowl, which the pop star attended to support her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, Swift appeared on the big screen alongside Ice Spice and was booed by Philadelphia Eagles fans. She gave the camera a shocked side eye and seemingly asked what was going on.

Harry Styles Helps a Fan Come Out to Her Mom

Harry Styles is all about interacting with fans during his concerts, and he used a Jumbotron to help relay a message from a daughter to her mom elsewhere in the audience at one of his shows in 2021. He noticed the fan’s sign, which read, “My mom is in Section 201. Help me come out.”

As seen in fan footage that went viral via TikTok, Styles asked McKinley McConnell, “What would you like to tell your mother? I can tell her if you’d like.”

After hearing McConnell’s message, Styles trotted to the other side of the stage as the Jumbotron found her mom. “Lisa, she’s gay!” he shouted. Lisa covered her face before blowing kisses to her daughter as the audience cheered.

A Sharks Fan Ruins a Marriage Proposal

Kiss Cams at sporting events are a popular time for marriage proposals. One Vegas Golden Knights fan decided to pop the question to his girlfriend at a San Jose Sharks game in 2019, and it seemed to be going well. He got down on one knee, and his girlfriend looked shocked but happy. However, the moment was quickly squandered by a Sharks fan who jumped right in front of the couple with a team flag in order to get on the Jumbotron. He was even wearing a shark costume.

Sophie Turner Chugs a Glass of Wine

Game of Thrones alum Turner made pop culture history when she chugged a glass of red wine on the Jumbotron at a New York Rangers game at Madison Square Garden in 2019.

“Send it for the Starks 🐺,” she captioned video footage of the moment on Instagram, referring to her fictional family in the HBO series.

“This will forever be legendary,” one fan commented on the post.

“Truly a work of art,” another user added.

3 Underrated Netflix Movies to Watch This Weekend (July 18-20)

18 July 2025 at 12:35

Summertime is for indulging in lazy-time pleasures like watching movies. And there’s no better streamer than Netflix to find some of the biggest and best films around.

But what about the movies you haven’t heard of? Watch With Us has selected three underrated Netflix movies for you to watch this weekend.

Ziam is a new action movie filled with bloody zombies, while The Lost Husband is a romantic drama that will appeal to Ransom Canyon fans.

Our last selection, The Man Who Knew Too Much, is an often overlooked classic from an all-time great film director.

‘Ziam’ (2025)

Stop me if you’ve heard of this before — a man must battle against a horde of zombies in a post-apocalyptic future. Sounds like The Walking Dead, Train to Busan and about 100 other movies and shows, right? But while Ziam doesn’t do anything dramatically different in the zombie subgenre, it’s still a solid action flick that showcases lead star Mark Prin’s impressive action hero skills.

11 New Movies to Watch This Weekend on Netflix, HBO Max, Hulu, Prime Video, More

He plays Singh, a former Muay Thai fighter who must save his doctor girlfriend Rin (Nuttanicha Dungwattanawanich) from being eaten alive by hundreds of zombies that have trapped her — and all the other doctors and patients — in the hospital. Singh must figure out a way to break into the hospital, find Rin and leave without being eaten alive by the sharp-toothed, flesh-eating undead that have taken over the city.

Ziam is streaming on Netflix.

‘The Lost Husband’ (2020)

If zombies aren’t your thing, here’s a movie that deals with something scarier — love. In The Lost Husband, The White Lotus’ Leslie Bibb stars as Libby, a single mother with two young children and nowhere to go. She ends up at her Aunt Jean’s (Nora Dunn) Texas farm, where she begrudgingly learns how to manage it.

Her teacher is James O’ Connor (Josh Duhamel), a gruff farm manager who isn’t thrilled about showing a newbie the ropes. Would it surprise you to know that Libby and James start to develop feelings for each other? And that a secret from James’ past threatens to end their burgeoning feelings for one another?

The Lost Husband’s plot is straight out of a Hallmark movie, but what makes it better than your average cable movie weepie is Bibb, who shows real dramatic range as the world-weary Libby, and Duhamel, who radiates matinee idol charisma. The movie has a good feel for its central Texas setting and has a third-act reveal that you won’t see coming.

The Lost Husband is streaming on Netflix.

‘The Man Who Knew Too Much’ (1956)

Dr. Ben McKenna (James Stewart) is traveling with his wife, Jo (Doris Day), and young son, Hank (Christopher Olsen), in Marrakesh when they witness a man dying in front of them. With his last words, the man tells Ben that a statesman will be assassinated in London. Ben doesn’t believe him until Hank is kidnapped. He won’t be harmed as long as Ben doesn’t say anything about the dying man’s warning. Will Ben remain silent and let an innocent man die in the hope his son will be returned to him alive?

3 Underrated Netflix Shows to Watch This Weekend (July 18-20)

The downside to being a genius director like Alfred Hitchcock is that a perfectly great movie like The Man Who Knew Too Much is overshadowed by stone-cold classics like 1954’s Rear Window and 1958’s Vertigo. But if anyone made this 1956 thriller featuring such stars as Stewart and Day, they’d be recognized as one of the genre’s best filmmakers. It’s that good, and Netflix subscribers should watch it before it leaves the streamer on July 31.

The Man Who Knew Too Much is streaming on Netflix.

Astronomer Launches Investigation Into CEO's Coldplay Kiss Cam Scandal

18 July 2025 at 12:14

Astronomer is conducting a “formal investigation” after CEO Andy Byron was involved in a kiss cam scandal with colleague Kristin Cabot at a Coldplay concert.

“Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding,” a Friday, July 18, statement shared via LinkedIn reads. “Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability. The Board of Directors has initiated a formal investigation into this matter and we will have additional details to share very shortly.”

The tech company further noted that Byron, who has been the firm’s CEO since 2023, has not “put out any statement” despite widespread speculation.

Byron and Cabot attended Coldplay’s concert in Massachusetts on Wednesday, July 16, where they were seen cuddling on a jumbotron. They tried to hide when they realized the cameras were on them.

Alleged Astronomer Affair Sparks Meme Frenzy: See the Most Savage Posts

They have not further addressed their relationship status. Us Weekly has reached out for comment.

After Byron and Cabot attempted to dodge the limelight, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin jokingly questioned their reasoning.

“Whoa, look at these two. Alright, come on. You’re OK,” Martin, 48, said via social media footage. “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy. I’m not quite sure what to do.”

He continued, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy. I’m not quite sure what to do.”

Later during the kiss cam segment, Martin double-checked that a different couple featured on screen was indeed in a romantic relationship.

“Are you two a legitimate couple?” the British singer asked, also wondering if they understood English. “OK, I’m just gonna risk it. Can you hear me?”

Stars React After Coldplay Jumbotron Seemingly Exposes Affair

As Byron and Cabot’s kiss cam scandal dominated social media, rumors also surfaced that the pair attended the Coldplay concert with another colleague, which Astronomer denied in its Friday statement.

Alyssa Stoddard was not at the event, and no other employees were in the video,” the statement added, mentioning Cabot’s coworker in the People department.

Both Cabot and Stoddard have worked for the tech company since 2024.

“Kristin’s exceptional leadership and deep expertise in talent management, employee engagement, and scaling people strategies will be critical as we continue our rapid trajectory,” Andy — who is married to Megan Kerrigan Byron — previously said of Cabot in a November 2024 press release. “She is a proven leader at multiple growth-stage companies and her passion for fostering diverse, collaborative workplaces makes her a perfect fit for Astronomer.”

Hailey Bieber Denies Using Rhode Sale for Justin, Scooter Braun Settlement

18 July 2025 at 12:14

Hailey Bieber denied using the money from the sale of her beauty brand to pay off Justin Bieber and Scooter Braun’s financial settlement.

“The historic sale of Rhode is a huge accomplishment for Hailey and is completely separate from her husband and his business affairs,” a rep for Hailey, 28, said in a statement to Us Weekly on Friday, July 18.

Hailey’s statement comes one day after TMZ reported that Justin, 31, was waiting on Hailey’s billion-dollar business deal to come in before paying back Braun’s company Hybe.

Hailey sold Rhode to e.l.f Beauty in May. As part of the agreement, Hailey will receive $600 million in cash, $200 million in shares and a potential additional $200 million if Rhode hits its three-year growth goals. In addition to the acquisition, Hailey remains Rhode’s chief creative officer and head of innovation.

Justin Bieber Celebrates Wife Hailey Bieber's Billionaire Status

The outlet reported on Thursday, July 17, that Justin allegedly owes Braun, 44, for unpaid commissions and an advance that resulted from the musician canceling his 2022 Justice Tour. The pair reportedly agreed on a settlement of $31.5 million.

Justin has not publicly addressed his and Braun’s financial situation.

Braun was Justin’s longtime manager before they parted ways in August 2023.

“I think there comes a point where, I understand, he probably wants to go on and show that he can do it. We worked together for so long and we had such extreme success,” Braun said of his working relationship with Justin during a June appearance on the “Diary of a CEO” podcast. “I think you get to a point as a man where you want to show the world, you can do it on your own. I completely respect that. I think at this point that’s what he’s doing.”

Since cutting ties with Braun professionally, Justin has remained low-key for the most part. Earlier this month, Justin dropped new music for the first time in four years. He surprised fans by releasing his new album, Swag, which includes 21 new songs.

Justin Bieber's Ups and Downs Through the Years

“This is more of a personal project that Justin has been wanting to put out, almost like a mixtape,” a source exclusively told Us of the record. “His label is planning a more traditional pop album for early next year.”

Following its release, Braun took to social media to gush about his former client’s new project.

“Been having a beautiful start to the weekend and getting a lot of texts about how I feel about Justin’s new album,” Braun wrote in a lengthy Instagram Story statement last week. “This is, without a doubt, the most authentically Justin Bieber album to date.”

The Daily Mail was the first to obtain Hailey’s statement.

Malin Akerman Teases 'Hunting Wives' Sexual Tension With Brittany Snow

18 July 2025 at 12:01

Netflix’s adaptation of May Cobb’s The Hunting Wives hinges on the onscreen sexual chemistry between Malin Åkerman and Brittany Snow’s characters, which couldn’t have been easier for them to bring to life.

“We were really aware of that and we really thought we have to bring the audience in. We have to make this believable. Luckily, I adore Brittany as a person and as a human being,” Åkerman, 47, teased during an exclusive interview with Us Weekly. “We have had a lot of laughs around this crazy ride and what we have to bring to the table and how to portray these characters.”

Åkerman’s friendship with Snow, 39, helped develop the relationship between their respective characters, Margo Banks and Sophie O’Neil.

“This was really easy — at least for the first few episodes — where what you’re seeing on screen might just be the excitement of a new friendship that’s budding in real life that’s coming through on camera,” she continued. “Also that helps with any intimate scenes because we started building this trust together as women and as friends. We just made it fun and realized that we’re making a TV show. It’s nothing more than that. We’re having a good time and let’s make it that way because that’s what hopefully goes out into the world.”

'One Day' and More TV Shows Based on Popular Books

The Hunting Wives, which premieres on Monday, July 21, follows Sophie (Snow) who “moves to a deep East Texas town with her family and becomes drawn” to a prominent socialite a.k.a Åkerman’s Margo.

“That was the role that I was offered. What that says about me, I don’t know. I’d read all eight episodes and loved it and I was the first person to get cast on this show. They just said, ‘We can’t see anyone else but you in this role.’ But they were so gracious and so wonderful and it definitely is a dynamic role,” Åkerman teased. “It has many layers and it is all the juicy stuff that you want in a role.”

She continued: “I was privy to all eight episodes, which is really helpful. Because a lot of times when you are on the journey of getting a TV show made you usually just get the pilot episode. That doesn’t give you the character arc and it doesn’t give you the real detail into who this person is that you’re going to be playing.”

Åkerman noted that Margo’s journey will be “really vast and wide and wild,” adding, “I really wanted to play her because she’s so different from how I operate in my own life. I love diverting the code. I love when you see actors in a very different role than you’re used to them in. For me, that’s really wonderful to watch.”

While previewing the show, Åkerman hinted what is to come between Margo and Sophie.

Us Breaks Down Casting Choices for 9 Highly Anticipated Book Adaptations

“If I were to peg Margo, I think she’s a master manipulator. There’s an agenda behind everything she does. So for me, as Sophie comes into her world, it’s like Margo’s shiny new toy,” she teased. “It is someone to conquer and to have control over her.”

Åkerman noted that Margo is also “attracted” to Sophie.

“Margo is just surprised by her own feelings. Sophie sees this woman who’s so opposite of her and so free and so wild and alive,” she added. “It’s what Sophie aspires to be and wants to be around it and wants to become more like that. They have very different approaches to the relationship that they’re building and it ends up going in many different directions that we couldn’t ever imagine. It’s a complicated relationship — but a really fun one to watch unfold.”

Astronomer Cofounder Describes Working With ‘Professional’ Andy Byron

18 July 2025 at 11:51

Astronomer cofounder Ry Walker described the company’s CEO, Andy Byron, as “professional” following the Coldplay concert kiss cam scandal.

“Answered a couple questions today priviately [sic], figure I should post it here as well since I can’t respond to everyone individually,” Walker wrote via X on Friday, July 18. “I’ve found Andy to be professional, I’ve only ever been on a call with him once.”

Walker, who left the tech firm in 2022, added that those he’s spoken to on the Astronomer staff largely approve of Byron’s leadership.

“Everyone on the team has praised his leadership to me. So I think this is an unfortunate development that comes as a big surprise,” he clarified.

Why the World Is Obsessed With Coldplay’s Jumbotron Affair Drama

Byron and Astronomer’s chief people officer Kristin Cabot went viral after attending a Coldplay concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, on Wednesday, July 16. During a kiss cam segment, the married CEO was caught on camera with his arms wrapped around Cabot’s waist before both tried to duck out of sight when they realized they were on the jumbotron. (Byron is married to Megan Kerrigan Byron.)

Walker initially spoke out to deny that he had any involvement in the incident after the footage went viral.

“For those asking — I’m no longer involved in @astronomerio — yes I was co-founder and early CEO — not on the team or board since 2022, and have no information on ColdplayGate,” he insisted via X.

The former Astronomer CEO went even further by assuring followers that he’d “definitely” never been to a Coldplay concert, as well as revealing that he doesn’t even listen to their music.

“I have 704 liked songs in Spotify — none are Coldplay, but I do think Chris Martin is an amazing vocalist,” he wrote via X.

Since the footage went viral, several fake public apologies attributed to Byron have circulated via social media. Astronomer broke its silence on the controversy to confirm a widely-circulated apology was “not a real statement” from Byron.

In the fake message, the CEO was purported to have shifted the blame on Coldplay: “I also want to express how troubling it is that what should have been a private moment became public without my consent.”

The fake statement went on to quote Coldplay’s song “Fix You,” continuing: “I respect artists and entertainers, but I hope we can all think more deeply about the impact of turning someone else’s life into a spectacle … As a friend once sang: ‘Lights will guide you home, and ignite your bones, and I will try to fix you.’”

Byron has yet to publicly address the matter. Us Weekly has reached out to Astronomer and both executives for comment.

Coldplay Jumbotron Seemingly Exposes Astronomer CEO’s Affair

The fan who originally shot the viral footage — a woman identified as Grace — told The Sun on Friday that she had “no idea” who Byron and Cabot were when she posted the video.

“[I] just thought I caught an interesting reaction to the kiss cam and decided to post it,” Grace acknowledged. “A part of me feels bad for turning these people’s lives upside down, but, play stupid games … win stupid prizes.”

Grace expressed her hope that Byron and Cabot’s partners will “heal from this” viral moment and ultimately consider her clip a “blessing in disguise.”

Thus far, Byron’s wife has reacted to fans finding her Facebook account by changing her last name and ultimately scrubbing most of her content.

3 Underrated Netflix Shows to Watch This Weekend (July 18-20)

18 July 2025 at 11:30

By a quirk in the summer schedule, many of Netflix‘s most popular shows are currently crime or mystery dramas, with a side of police procedurals.

Netflix clearly knows what its audience wants, which may be why so many similar series are dominating the charts.

To narrow things down for you, the Watch With Us team has selected the following three underrated Netflix shows to watch this weekend.

Given the short length of some of these shows, you may even be able to finish them by Saturday night.

23 Must-Watch Shows on Netflix Right Now (July 2025)

‘Untamed’ (2025)

There aren’t a lot of murders at Yosemite National Park, but ISB special agent Kyle Turner (Eric Bana) can’t look past the evidence that a Jane Doe (Ezra Franky) met with foul play in Untamed. It’s a PR nightmare for the park itself, and Kyle’s life is already complicated by his broken relationship with his ex-wife, Jill (Rosemarie DeWitt), and the death of their young son.

Lily Santiago costars as Naya Vasquez, a rookie ranger who assists Kyle during his investigation. What they discover about the body suggests that murder wasn’t the only crime that was committed against the victim, and the killer or killers are more than willing to strike again to cover their tracks.

Untamed is streaming on Netflix.

‘Under a Dark Sun’ (2025)

Alba Mazier (Ava Baya) is facing a desperate situation in Under a Dark Sun even before she’s accused of murder. The only thing Alba wanted was a chance to get back on her feet so she could raise her son, Leo (Max Harter). However, someone went to great lengths to fabricate a job offer for Alba from Arnaud Lasserre (Thibault De Montalembert), the wealthy owner of a flower farm.

5 Netflix Shows We Can't Wait to Watch This Summer, Ranked

Arnaud and Alba share a personal connection that she isn’t initially aware of, and that may be why she was lured into a trap where she discovered that he was fatally injured. Now, Alba is considered the prime suspect in Arnaud’s murder because everyone thinks she has the perfect motive to kill him — greed. Arnuad’s family doesn’t have any reason to trust Alba, but his granddaughter, Manon Simoni (Claire Romain), shocks all of her relatives by agreeing to be Alba’s attorney.

Under a Dark Sun is streaming on Netflix.

‘The Gringo Hunters’ (2025)

The Gringo Hunters is the informal nickname of a team led by Temo (Dagoberto Gama) that hunts down American fugitives south of the border and hands them over to U.S. authorities. However, Temo, Nico (Harold Torres), Gloria (Mayra Hermosillo), Archi (Andrew Leland Rogers), Beto (Manuel Masalva) and Cri (Héctor Kotsifakis) were supposed to be keeping a low profile. After their latest arrest goes viral, that’s no longer possible.

This series feels very similar to the police procedural shows you can find on CBS, minus the Mexican setting and actors. Temo’s team may be good at their jobs, but they’re going to discover that their authority under the law has limits, especially when it comes to dealing with the U.S. justice system.

America’s Sweethearts’ Stars Want Salary ‘Improvements’ for NFL Cheerleaders

18 July 2025 at 11:22

The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders are still riding the high from their major pay raises earlier this year — but they know there’s still more work to be done.

America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders star Reece Weaver was “really proud of the outcome” after fighting for more money, she told Us Weekly exclusively at the Netflix Summer Break event hosted at Santa Monica Pier on Thursday, July 17.

“I know a lot of people really led that, but we all supported it. We all just wanted to not only do this for our team, but for all the women that came before us and … for just women in general,” Reece, 23, told Us. “It was just a blessing to be a part of and we’re just super proud of it.”

Kelly Villares agreed, noting that it was a “really revolutionizing” success for the dance industry overall.

“We’re hoping to see improvements in the NFL cheer world as well,” she added.

Judy Still Thinks It's More 'Impressive' for DCCs to Have Full-Time Jobs

Charly Barby said she is “really proud” of the “extraordinary” moves the “entire team” was able to make.

Us Weekly shared exclusive details last month that the cheer squad received a giant salary increase just before America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders season 2 premiered on Netflix.

The show’s first season, which took the world by storm in 2024, revealed that the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders reportedly made only around $500 per game along with hourly wages for practices and some fees for public appearances and events.

“It’s a tough topic to start to have conversations [about],” cheerleader Jada Mclean told Us before the second season’s June 18 premiere. “But we were pretty serious, as leaders, this was something that we really wanted to see a change happen.”

NFL Cheerleader Salaries: How Much Money Do They Make During Football Season?

Jada was one of the veteran cheerleaders who led the charge for more money.

“A walkout was something that we talked about, but at the end of the day, we knew we all wanted to be on that field and as hard as it was to decide what the right choice was to do, we just decided we were gonna cheer,” she added. “But still stand firm in what we believed in. And at the end of season 2, there is a resolution that’s positive for us.”

The season 2 finale revealed that the women received “400 percent” salary increases.

“I can’t go into too much detail, but I will say there’s an increase all around when it comes to hourly and appearance fees and just everything as a whole,” Jada told Us. “It’s a very great change and I think the girls are gonna benefit a lot from it moving forward.”

Faith, a dancer with more than 200,000 followers on TikTok, is the first New Zealand native to be named a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader.

“This journey has been incredibly challenging, both physically and mentally, but I wouldn’t change a thing!” she shared via Instagram on Monday. “I’ve been pushed in ways I never imagined, I’ve learned and grown so much already. I’m excited to see where this wild ride takes me! I feel so privileged to stand alongside not only the most talented dancers but also some of the most amazing women I’ve ever met.”

Thanks to the cheerleaders who came before them, the new members of the team will be rewarded financially like never before.

During the season two finale of Netflix’s America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, it was revealed that they received a “400 percent” salary increase.

3 Underrated Amazon Prime Video Movies to Watch This Weekend (July 18-20)

18 July 2025 at 11:10

It’s all about living the sweet life this weekend on Amazon Prime Video.

Watch With Us has selected three underrated movies for you to watch this weekend, which feature such TV stars as FriendsJennifer Aniston and Parks and Recreation’s Rob Lowe.

Thriller fans should enjoy the 1980s movie Masquerade and the 2005 suspense flick Derailed, both of which deal with torrid love affairs, blackmail and murder.

In contrast, My One and Only is a real-life dramedy that details a loving yet dysfunctional relationship between a mother and son in 1950s America.

‘Masquerade’ (1988)

Young Olivia Lawrence (Meg Tilly) has it all — money, looks and a killer Southampton spread. The one thing she doesn’t have is true love, but that changes when she meets and falls in love with Tim Whalen (Rob Lowe). Tim appears to be good to be true, though, and soon, Olivia starts suspecting he’s really after her fortune. Is she right? Or is someone else making her doubt Tim so they can grab her money?

Masquerade is all about those benjamins — it flaunts its wealth almost as much as Olivia does. That’s a large part of its appeal, though, as it’s escapist porn at its finest — and sleaziest. Lowe is good as always at playing a pretty boy with a shady past, and Kim Cattrall pops up briefly as one of Tim’s horny older lovers. You can see her most popular role, Samantha Jones, in an embryonic stage in Masquerade, a full decade before Sex and the City debuted on HBO.

Masquerade is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

‘Derailed’ (2005)

Rachel Green in a thriller? Yeah, it happened, and everyone’s forgotten about it. But Derailed is a modest thriller that both works and gives star Jennifer Aniston a role she doesn’t usually play — the femme fatale. When family man Charles (Clive Owen) meets Lucina (Aniston) on a commuter train, he’s instantly intrigued — and in lust. But when they check into a hotel and begin to take off their clothes, a naked intruder storms in, assaults Lucinda and punches Charles. Days later, Charles receives a phone call demanding $10,000 or else his wife will know he almost cheated on her.

And that’s only the beginning as Charles and Lucinda get wrapped up in a blackmail plot that will leave at least one person dead and another in prison. Derailed has a wild plot full of narrative surprises, but it’s mostly kept on track by its two lead stars, who are believable as horny would-be adulterers who are in way over their heads.

Derailed is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

‘My One and Only’ (2009)

15-year-old George (Logan Lerman) loves his mother Anne (Renée Zellweger), even though she’s a complete mess. After she catches her husband with another woman, she takes George and heads out West, with little direction and almost no money. As they travel from St. Louis to Albuquerque, George begins to understand his mother’s need to flee from her past and his own ambition to be better than his dysfunctional family.

Based on journeyman actor George Hamilton’s life story, My One and Only is a fascinating coming-of-age story that focuses on a complex — and often messy — mother/son relationship. Anne doesn’t always make the right choices, but she always wants what’s best for her son. George loves his mother, but he wants to get as far away from her as possible. The movie doesn’t soften the rough edges of their relationship, and that alone makes it worth a watch.

Why Is Stephen Colbert’s ‘The Late Show’ Ending? Cancellation Explained

18 July 2025 at 10:54

It’s the end of an era in late night television.

Stephen Colbert surprised fans when he announced that The Late Show With Stephen Colbert will come to an end in May 2026.

“Before we start the show, I want to let you know something that I found out just last night,” Colbert, 61, shared during the Thursday, July 17, taping of his CBS show. “Next year will be our last season, the network will be ending The Late Show in May.”

As the studio audience began to express their disappointment by booing, Colbert said, “I share your feelings.”

“It’s not just the end of our show, but it’s the end of The Late Show on CBS. I’m not being replaced,” he said. “This is all just going away. I do want to say that the folks at CBS have been great partners … And I’m grateful to the audience, you, who have joined us every night, in here, out there, and all around the world.”

Which TV Shows Are Canceled in 2025-2026?

While Colbert will continue with the show until May 2026 with nearly 200 crew members, many are curious to learn more about why The Late Show was suddenly canceled.

Keep reading to see the possible explanations for the show’s big announcement:

What CBS Said About The Late Show’s Cancelation

When confirming the end of The Late Show, CBS released a statement noting that the decision was purely a “financial” one and is not “related in any way to the show’s performance, content or other matters happening at Paramount.”

“We consider Stephen Colbert irreplaceable and will retire The Late Show franchise at that time,” the statement read. “We are proud that Stephen called CBS home. He and the broadcast will be remembered in the pantheon of greats that graced late night television.”

What Fellow Late Night Hosts Said About The Late Show’s Cancelation

Jimmy Kimmel showed his support for Colbert by sharing his announcement online.

“Love you Stephen,” he wrote via his Instagram Story. “F*** you and all your Sheldons CBS.”

Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen also expressed his disappointment while attending the Las Culturistas Culture Awards in Los Angeles.

“I think it’s a sad day for late night television,” he told Deadline on Thursday. “I think it’s a sad day for CBS. I think Stephen Colbert is a singular talent. He’s going to have an incredible next chapter. I can’t believe CBS is turning off the lights at 11:30 after the local news. I’m stunned. He’s one of three late night shows deemed worthy enough for an Emmy nomination. He produces a brilliant show.”

Both Seth Meyers and Jimmy Fallon praised Colbert not only as a late night host, but as a friend too.

“For as great a comedian and host he is, @StephenatHome is an even better person,” Meyers, 51, wrote via his Instagram Story on Friday, July 18. “I’m going to miss having him on TV every night.”

Fallon, 50, added, “I’m just as shocked as everyone. Stephen is one of the sharpest, funniest hosts to ever do it. I really thought I’d ride this out with him for years to come. … He’s really been a gentleman and a true friend over the years.”

What Washington, D.C. Said About The Late Show’s Cancellation

Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren expressed her concerns about The Late Show suddenly ending.

“CBS canceled Colbert’s show just THREE DAYS after Colbert called out CBS parent company Paramount for its $16M settlement with Trump — a deal that looks like bribery,” Warren, 76, claimed on X. “America deserves to know if his show was canceled for political reasons.”

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders shared the same sentiment when he wrote via X, “CBS’s billionaire owners pay Trump $16 million to settle a bogus lawsuit while trying to sell the network to Skydance. Stephen Colbert, an extraordinary talent and the most popular late night host, slams the deal. Days later, he’s fired. Do I think this is a coincidence? NO.”

Could President Donald Trump Be Behind The Late Show’s Cancellation?

The last episode of The Late Show will air six months before the 2026 midterm elections.

The show’s cancellation announcement also comes three days after Colbert called out Paramount, CBS’s parent company, for settling what he called “a nuisance lawsuit” brought by President Donald Trump.

In the suit, Trump, 79, alleged that 60 Minutes had unfairly edited an interview of former Vice President Kamala Harris. Paramount reportedly agreed to pay Trump $16 million, something the late night host called “a big fat bribe” in his monologue.

“I absolutely love that Colbert got fired,” Trump posted to his Truth Social platform on Friday. “His talent was even less than his ratings. I hear Jimmy Kimmel is next. Has even less talent than Colbert!”

Famed Skydiver Felix Baumgartner Dead at 56 in Paraglider Crash

18 July 2025 at 10:54

Felix Baumgartner, the skydiver who broke the sound barrier in his 24-mile dive in 2012, died on Thursday, July 17 at 56, after crashing his paraglider.

The accident occurred in the Italian city of Porto Sant’Elpidio, located along the country’s eastern coast. Firefighters dispatched to the scene confirmed that the paraglider had crashed into the side of a swimming pool.

“Our community is deeply affected by the tragic passing of Felix Baumgartner, a figure of global prominence, a symbol of courage and passion for extreme flight,” Porto Sant’Elpidio Mayor Massimiliano Ciarpella said in a statement shared via social media.

The mayor’s office believes Baumgartner suffered a “medical issue” and lost control of the motorized paraglider, leading to the accident.

The Dark Reason Why David Blaine Won’t Do a Death-Defying Stunt This Year

Baumgartner, dubbed “Fearless Felix,” was best known for his 2012 dive through the stratosphere as part of the Red Bull Stratos team, in which he reached 843.6 miles per hour, or about 1.25 times the speed of sound. The feat took around nine minutes and included a potentially dangerous flat spin that lasted for 13 seconds while he was still supersonic.

Approximately eight million people watched the jump, which was streamed live on YouTube. Red Bull later made a documentary about the stunt using footage Baumgartner recorded on a helmet-worn camera.

“When I was standing there on top of the world, you become so humble, you do not think about breaking records anymore, you do not think about gaining scientific data. The only thing you want is to come back alive,” he said after he landed in New Mexico.

In addition to breaking the sound barrier, it was the highest jump of all time, breaking the record set by Joseph Kittinger in 1960 by nearly five miles. Kittinger, who died in 2022 at age 94, served as an adviser to Baumgartner during his preparation.

Extreme Sports Influencer Andreas Tonelli Dies Biking in Dolomites at Age 48

“Sometimes we have to get really high to see how small we are,” Baumgartner added.

Computer scientist Alan Eustace broke Baumgartner’s altitude record two years later, though he still holds the vertical speed record.

Baumgartner’s career as a BASE jumper and daredevil dates back to the 1990s. In 1999, he set the world record for the highest parachute jump from a building when he jumped from the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. That same year, he set the world record for the lowest BASE jump, leaping from the hand of Rio de Janeiro’s Christ the Redeemer statue, 98 feet off the ground. Four years later, he became the first person to skydive across the English Channel.

Baumgartner never married but had been in a relationship with Romanian TV host Mihaela Rădulescu since 2014.

3 Underrated Peacock Movies to Watch This Weekend (July 18-20)

18 July 2025 at 10:45

Although Peacock doesn’t always have blockbusters to choose from, it can occasionally surprise subscribers with movies that slipped through the cracks in theaters.

While there are plenty of forgettable flicks among their number, Peacock also has some genuine diamonds in the rough that deserve to be rediscovered.

That’s why the Watch With Us team has put together this list of three underrated Peacock movies to watch this weekend.

Our picks include a super-powered thriller, a classic comedy and a film that offers a fresh take on an old sci-fi trope.

9 Must-Watch Movies on Peacock Right Now (July 2025)

‘Freaks’ (2018)

You’ll definitely see some comic-book influences in Freaks, as well as a little bit of Stephen King’s Firestarter. Lexy Kolker stars as a seven-year-old girl named Chloe Lewis who has never left her house. Chloe’s father, Henry Lewis (Emile Hirsch), says he’s protecting her from people who want to hurt her or take her away.

After an enigmatic stranger, Mr. Snowcone (Bruce Dern), intervenes, Chloe learns that her father was right all along. There are bad people who are after them just because they have powers and abilities beyond normal humans. Chloe also discovers that her telepathic gift may even be able to reunite her with her long-lost mother, Mary Lewis (Amanda Crew).

Freaks is streaming on Peacock.

‘American Pie’ (1999)

American Pie was a pretty wild teenage sex comedy for 1999. Times have changed a lot in the last 26 years, but it’s still a funny movie to revisit. The story revolves around four high school seniors who resolve to lose their virginity on or before their prom night. Chris “Oz” Ostreicher (Chris Klein), Kevin Myers (Thomas Ian Nicholas) and Paul Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas) have some promising starts. However, their friend, Jim Levenstein (Jason Biggs), isn’t so lucky.

3 New Peacock Movies with Over 90 Percent on Rotten Tomatoes (July 2025)

Jim has a real talent for getting himself in really humiliating situations, especially during his encounter with an exchange student, Nadia (Shannon Elizabeth). All four of the guys have to face questions about what they really want out of a relationship, and it may not be what they originally desired.

American Pie is streaming on Peacock.

‘Triangle’ (2009)

A boating trip takes a wrong turn for a woman named Jess (Melissa George) in Triangle. After taking the chance to temporarily leave her responsibilities as a mother behind, Jess joins Greg (Michael Dorman) and the rest of their friends on a brief excursion to the sea.

When Greg’s ship is overturned by a storm, the survivors gather on an abandoned ocean liner. Soon, Jess realizes that someone is stalking and attempting to kill her friends. More alarmingly, Jess’ friends claim that she’s the killer. And once Jess realizes what’s really happening, there may not be an escape for any of them.

Why the World Is Obsessed With Coldplay’s Jumbotron Affair Drama

18 July 2025 at 10:37

In journalism, summer is often referred to as the “silly season.” With the government on break and celebrities off on vacation, news tends to slow down, making room for fluffy, quirky stories to make the rounds. This year has been no exception — who could have predicted that the biggest headlines would involve the CEO of a tech company caught cuddling on a jumbotron at a Coldplay concert?

If you haven’t been on social media this week (good for you), here’s a recap: On Wednesday evening during a Coldplay show at Boston’s Gillette Stadium, the jumbotron was scanning the excited crowd when it captured a seemingly loved-up couple, arms wrapped tightly around each other.

“Ohhh, look at these two,” gushed the band’s frontman, Chris Martin. But instead of basking in the moment, the duo instantly leapt apart. The woman covered her face with her hands; the man practically bolted. “Alright, come on, you’re OK,” Chris said, “Uh oh, what?” The crowd erupted in laughter.

Then Martin delivered the line heard around the world: “Either they’re having an affair or they’re very shy.”

Alleged Astronomer Affair Sparks Meme Frenzy: See the Most Savage Posts

Not long after the clip hit the internet, it went viral, and the two protagonists were identified as Andy Byron, the CEO of Astronomer, a software development company in New York, and the company’s head of HR, Kristin Cabot. They both appear to be married to other people. Just one day later, Byron’s name became the most popular trending Google term in America, with more than double the searches of the runner-up.

They are officially internet famous, and the memes began to flood in (my favorite being Nicole Kidman frantically trying to get the TV rights), making them the accidental main characters of the summer.

Concert Kiss Cam Gone Wrong Why The World is Obsessed with the Coldplay Kiss Cam Story

So, what makes their story so captivating? It reflects a lot about our society today and human nature as a whole. Life can feel overwhelming right now, with wars, economic struggles and societal divisions weighing heavily on us. In this context, we often seek a lighthearted escape. This story is funny, awkward, shocking and vaguely scandalous — the kind that lets us hit pause on global chaos and tune into some good old-fashioned drama.

Coldplay’s Chris Martin Reacts to Jumbotron Seemingly Exposing an Affair

It encapsulates all the elements of a great narrative: shock, surprise, humor, heartbreak, a possible villain and victim, a sprinkle of celebrity stardust and that universal fear of betrayal and humiliation. When you watch the clip, you can’t help but become an armchair detective, drawn into the unfolding saga and eager to uncover the truth behind it all. You feel part of the story, involved in discovering the truth and craving more information. For those few minutes, we enjoy the voyeurism that comes from the internet’s creepy 24/7 surveillance.

Plus, there’s that sweet sense of justice. As humans, we have an inherent desire for resolution, and the idea that two powerful individuals may have been caught having an affair in the cringiest of ways is oddly satisfying. Reporters are still trying to uncover the full story behind the camera-shy pair, but the gray area surrounding the exact nature of their relationship drives even deeper intrigue for those following along.

Like all good gossip, it comes with some teachable moments: If you’re caught doing something wrong, you should just brush it off, keep your cool and not overreact — the camera would surely have just moved past them if they had! And it may sound obvious, but if you’re going to canoodle with someone who isn’t your partner, maybe don’t do it at a sold-out concert … that’s just silly.

Astronomer Says Statement From CEO Andy Byron Is Fake After Affair Video

18 July 2025 at 10:26

Astronomer confirmed that an apparent statement from CEO Andy Byron addressing the Coldplay “kiss cam” affair rumors is a fake.

Bryon’s company said the message that has been circulating on social media is “not a real statement,” to TMZ on Thursday, July 17.

A video of what appeared to be a scandalous moment went viral on Thursday when Byron and Astronomer Chief People Officer, Kristin Cabot, had their arms around each other during a Coldplay concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. The band’s frontman focused on the duo, who appeared to be a couple, who were shown on the jumbotron.

Once they realized they were being filmed, Byron and Cabot quickly separated, causing Coldplay frontman Chris Martin to address the rather awkward moment.

Who Is Astronomer CEO Andy Byron's Wife? Meet Megan Kerrigan Byron

“Whoa, look at these two. Alright, come on. You’re OK,” Martin, 48, said in a now-viral clip. “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy. I’m not quite sure what to do.”

He added, “Holy s***. I hope we didn’t do something bad.”

Us Weekly has reached out to Astronomer and both executives for comment.

After the concert video went viral, statements that appeared to be from Byron started popping up on social media. The one Astronomer denied featured a fake apology from the CEO, and a lyric from Coldplay’s “Fix You” to end the message.

Neither Byron nor Cabot have publicly addressed the alleged affair.

As the drama continued to escalate online, Byron’s wife, Megan Kerrigan Byron — with whom he shares two kids together — appeared to change her name on Facebook. She initially appeared to remove her married last name before deleting the social media account altogether. (Her Instagram account also appears to have been deleted.)

Cabot, meanwhile, split from ex-husband Kenneth Thornby in 2022, according to the New York Post. Details about their split weren’t made public. However, the outlet noted Cabot has “at least” one child because her ex “was made to pay child support.”

Prior to the viral kiss cam video, Cabot gushed over the Astronomer hiring process — praising Byron specifically.

“I prefer to think of my role as people strategy versus traditional human resources, as the real magic happens when you align the people strategy with the business strategy,” Cabot shared in a November 2024 statement when she was hired. “I prefer to think of my role as people strategy versus traditional human resources, as the real magic happens when you align the people strategy with the business strategy.”

Today’s Dylan Dreyer and Brian Fichera’s Relationship Timeline

18 July 2025 at 10:26

Dylan Dreyer and Brian Fichera were a match made in talk show heaven until their 2025 split.

The Today show and meteorologist host fell in love with Fichera in the early 2000s while working together at a Boston news station.

“When he started working more, he’d hang out more in the Weather Center with our friend Todd. The three of us started hanging out more and more outside of work, building our friendship and getting closer,” Dreyer wrote on her wedding blog, according to Good Housekeeping. “After a few years, we had a small party at Brian’s house which we dubbed the Jammy Jam. It was then that I realized I had totally fallen for him and from there it was history!”

The pair, who now both work for NBC, got married in 2012 and went on to welcome three sons. (Fichera works as a producer and cameraman for NBC News and Dreyer is part of the anchor team for Today.)

News broke in July 2025 that Dreyer and Fichera were getting divorced after 12 years of marriage.

Scroll down to see Dreyer and Fichera’s relationship from the start:

Early 2000s

Dreyer and Fichera first crossed paths while working at WHDH in Boston. At the time, Dreyer was an anchor and Fichera worked as an in-studio technician.

Fichera proposed to Dreyer while the couple were still living in Boston. “When I saw there were roses and two glasses of champagne, I knew,’’ Dreyer told Boston.com at the time.

October 2012

The pair tied the knot in Boston one month after Dreyer began co-anchoring Weekend Today in New York City. Once the pair relocated to New York, Fichera also got a job at NBC as a cameraman.

June 2016

During Dreyer’s first pregnancy, she sang her spouse’s praises, telling the Today audience, “He’s amazing. Every time I do get scared, he brings me back to reality.”

She noted that during her pregnancy, Fichera “kind of just sits back and reminds me, he’s like, ‘This baby is a piece of both of us … Everything we love about each other, and all the times we enjoy together, we’ve created this wonderful life that is going to be a piece of both of us and it’s going to become part of our lives.’”

“At the end of our wedding, the DJ asked Brian what song to play last. Brian just randomly said, ‘Viva La Vida’ by Coldplay,” she recalled. “We have no connection to the song, but it was absolutely perfect. I tied up my long dress and he just spun me around the dance floor. It was pure joy and love and happiness.”

The estranged couple also expanded their family after tying the knot, welcoming three kids: Calvin, 8, Oliver, 5, and Russell, 3.

Dreyer’s split announcement on Friday comes after eagle-eyed Today viewers noticed that she hadn’t been wearing her wedding ring on the show over the past month. Fichera’s last appearance on Dreyer’s Instagram came on June 15, when she wished him a happy Father’s Day.

“Took the kids to the @redsox game … in the living room. But we needed tickets,” Dreyer captioned her post at the time. “Happy Father’s Day Bri!!”

Prior to their split, Dreyer was not shy when it came to sharing details about her marriage. While speaking with Today.com in 2022, Dreyer shared how she and Fichera kept their love alive despite having demanding careers.

“Our schedules mean we don’t see each other much, but we text all the time,” she said. “Sometimes it’s even easier to have an important or deep conversation via text because we get all our thoughts out without being interrupted.”
