When CBS revealed the first house photos of Big Brother 27 on Wednesday, July 2, fans took note of one nugget that the network teased along with them: There will be a mystery houseguest joining the game.
Julie Chen Moonves, who has hosted Big Brother since its first season, only added to the intrigue when she told Entertainment Weekly that this player surprised even her when she learned their identity.
“What I can say is the mystery houseguest, when I was told who this person is, I had to expect the unexpected,” she said in a story published Thursday, July 3. “I never expected that person. And I was very excited because, in my opinion, getting that person is epic. And that person is also very polarizing. So there’s going to be a strong reaction in both directions for this mystery houseguest.”
With still more than a week to go before the season premiere, that’s plenty for fans to chew on before the big reveal. Rumors have already run rampant that a former Survivor player would join the cast. Survivor fan favorite Kelley Wentworth even shared a video via Instagram on Thursday to confirm she is not in Big Brother sequester.
Survivor 47 castaway Teeny Chirichillo raised eyebrows on Wednesday when his Instagram account captioned a post, “But First,” which is one of Chen Moonves’ Big Brother catchphrases. But he has also been active in the comments, indicating he is not in sequester, and he’s not exactly polarizing either.
More names will surely surface in the coming days, but in the meantime, Chen Moonves, 55, also teased another twist: a masked visitor and their secret accomplice.
“The accomplice this person’s going to have — they’re going to have responsibilities, and they may or may not be able to pull it off, and that will affect the game,” she said. “And the masked visitor — very disruptive, and on another level that is more far reaching than Ainsley last year.”
Last season, an AI figure named Ainsley wreaked havoc on the game with her own twists after players decided not to let her play the game herself. Chen Moonves’ description sounds closer to a saboteur, a la Big Brother 12, or maybe an America’s Player, without the fan voting that guided Eric Stein’s game in Big Brother 8.
Chen Moonves didn’t offer much more to go on, but she did have welcome news for fans. The Big Brother 26 “AI Arena” twist kept eviction nights exciting by keeping houseguests from knowing the final two nominees until the last minute. While she didn’t confirm the twist would return, she pointed to the Power of Veto as an example of a twist that worked so well it became part of the fabric of the show.
“That became a staple after season 3. So I would say it’s like shaking the Magic 8 Ball — signs are pointing to yes,” she said about the twist’s return.

“I feel fine,” she said. “For me so far, the day of the surgery was the worst. After that it gets easier and easier.”
Days later, Kelly showed off her cleavage, to which an internet troll commented that she looked “too fake.” Kelly responded, “I [still] have stitches in. They’re hard as rocks right now. They’re kinda softening up.”
She also added that she got “275 cc silicone” and had the implant placed “under [the] muscle.”
The Running Man marks Glen Powell’s latest venture into the action genre, and the trailer is jam-packed with juicy tidbits of what’s to come in the film.
The movie is based on Stephen King’s 1982 novel of the same name. This marks the second adaptation of the book, as the first film was made in 1987 and starred Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Powell said that before stepping into the role, he connected with Schwarzenegger to get his thoughts on the remake.
“Arnold gave us his blessing,” he told Peoplein April 2025. “[His son] Patrick Schwarzenegger is a great friend of mine and I asked Patrick if I could talk to Arnold, and I hadn’t seen Arnold since we shot Expendables in Bulgaria.”
He added, “Arnold gave us his full blessing, and we get to give Arnold a very specific, fun gift from the movie in a couple of weeks here. So I’m very excited to see him.”

Powell will be playing the lead character, Ben Richards. Brolin was cast as game show producer Dan Killian, while Colman Domingo was tapped to play game show host Bobby Thompson. Lee Pace will be portraying a hunter named Evan McCone.
Jayme Lawson will portray Ben’s wife, Sheila Richards. Michael Cera signed on to play Elton Parrakis, a rebel and an ally to Ben. Emilia Jones was cast as civilian hostage Amelia Williams. William H. Macy is playing a character who helps Ben when he’s on the run.
Fans got a glimpse of Powell in action in The Running Mantrailer in June 2025. The trailer starts off with Ben hugging his sick child as his family is in desperate need of money. He gets the opportunity to be on the biggest game show in the country in an attempt to earn the money he needs. Ben is told that the rules of the game are that he has to survive 30 days while the entire nation tries to hunt him down.
Throughout the trailer, Powell’s character is seen running through the streets, dodging bullets and throwing grenades. In one scene, he scales the side of a building wearing only a piece of cloth wrapped around his waist. He then removes the cloth in order to wrap it around his hand and break a window with his fist, giving fans a glimpse of his abs. The trailer ends with Elton electrocuting a group of armed men who are chasing after Ben. “Are you crazy?” Ben asks him in shock.

Influencer Ethan Guo has been detained in Antarctica amid his challenge to fly to all seven continents.
Chilean authorities told CNN on Wednesday, July 2, that Guo, 19, landed on a portion of Antarctica where Chile has a territorial claim over the weekend. The internet personality allegedly broke “multiple national and international regulations” when he changed his flight plans without notice.
Law enforcement claimed that Guo submitted a false flight plan and took off from Carlos Ibáñez del Campo Airport in Punta Arenas. During the flight, Guo, who was the sole passenger, turned off course and headed to Antarctica. When Guo landed at Lieutenant Rodolfo Marsh Base, he was detained and formally charged.
Guo’s lawyer, Karina Ulloa, shared during a press conference on Sunday, June 29, that the pilot had experienced “complications” while flying.
“While already in the air, he began to experience a series of complications,” Ulloa said, claiming that Guo “was conducting an exploratory flight to see if he could follow this route or not.”
Guo announced in June 2024 that he was embarking on the adventure of a lifetime. He challenged himself to fly across the globe in 100 days. In addition to trying to become the “first person in history to fly solo to all seven continents in a small aircraft,” Guo wanted to raise money for cancer.
“In 2021 my cousin was diagnosed with cancer. I admire him. He inspired me to take life more seriously and join the fight against cancer,” Guo’s website read. “I want to use every opportunity to raise awareness of childhood cancer and the necessity to increase research efforts to find prevention and treatment methods.”
Guo kicked off his travel plans in September 2024, flying from Memphis to Teterboro Airport in New Jersey.
“The views flying through the city were absolutely breathtaking,” Guo said in an Instagram Reel at the time. “The day ended smoothly, but when I tried to check into a nearby hotel, they refused because I’m 18. After spending a few hours in the lobby, I was about [to] go sleep at the airport, one of the receptionists felt bad and secretly let me check in.”
Since then, Guo has traveled across Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia. Before his detainment, Guo last shared that he made it to the Philippines on June 23.
“Day 142 of flying to all 7 continents in order to raise a million dollars to fight cancer! Route: RPMD-RPLL Distance: 650 miles,” he captioned an Instagram Reel.
“I was in labor for 48 hours basically [because] my water broke at home,” LeCroy shared with Us, noting that her daughter was delivered via C-section at 34 weeks.
She recalled the “crazy” start to her labor and delivery beginning at 2:30 a.m. after celebrating her mom’s birthday at a concert while Randle was working in California.
“I ran upstairs, and I was like, ‘Mom, I don’t have anything packed.’ It was funny ’cause me and her both were like in my closet trying to pick out what we were gonna wear to the hospital,” LeCroy remembered, adding that she was only one centimeter dilated when she arrived at the hospital.
She said the doctors tried to put off delivering Teddi as long as possible because she was early. “We kind of prolonged the labor and Brett got here and then we waited another day and had the C-section and there she was five minutes later,” LeCroy said, confirming her husband made it with plenty of time to be by her side.

Teddi then spent a “few days” in the NICU as part of the “protocol” for babies born that early.
“She’s a little. She’s only five pounds, but she’s breathing on her own and hasn’t needed any oxygen or anything like that. She’s kind of a little trooper,” LeCroy gushed. “[Doctors] were shocked with how early she was that she was gonna be this independent. So I was like, ‘Oh, I wasn’t shocked at all.’”
LeCroy, who is already the mother of son Hudson, 12, revealed that she’s kept Teddi’s arrival as quiet as possible, only telling Venita Aspen within the Southern Charm cast. Her glam squad, however, was definitely in the loop.
“This is even crazier. Once I got [to the hospital] and I realized I didn’t even have, like, a toothbrush, I ended up having like my glam come to me,” LeCroy told Us. “I did a blowout and then I did a little fast face, like, makeup natural with one of my girls.”

She added that in addition to calling “in the troops” for her hair and makeup, LeCroy created a girl-power space before giving birth.
“My doctor, she’s amazing. And at this point she was, like, a friend, and we were sitting there talking and we were like, ‘What [is[the playlist gonna be for this?’” the reality star recalled. “And we were joking around, we’re like, ‘Girl power, let’s go Taylor Swift.’ So we did, we rocked out to Taylor Swift during the surgery.”
LeCroy concluded, “So that’s what she was born to. Now don’t ask me what song, because at that point I don’t have no idea. But yeah, girl mode all the way.”
LeCroy became a first-time mom in November 2012, welcoming Hudson with now-ex husband Josh Hughes. The pair married in 2010 but ultimately split in 2015.

After her divorce, LeCroy found love again with Randle. In April 2021, she hinted that she was in a new relationship, though the two did not go public until that June. The couple got engaged in October 2021 and tied the knot in November 2022.
In February, LeCroy announced that she was expecting the pair’s first baby together. “And just like that … our world is changing in the most magical way! ,” she captioned an Instagram photo of a positive pregnancy test.
LeCroy called it the “best moment of our lives,” adding, “We can’t wait to meet you, little one!”
Nearly three months earlier, LeCroy shared her plans to expand her family in an exclusive interview with Us, noting that Hudson was on board.

“Just recently, he gave me permission to have a sibling,” she revealed in November 2024. “He said, ‘Mom, you can have a baby now.’ And I said, ‘Oh, OK. Thank you. I’ve been waiting on you to say that.’”
Although Hudson’s blessing went a long way, LeCroy explained why she felt like there is never an exact right time to have a baby.
“I don’t know if you’re ever ready. My mom always says, ‘You’re never going to be rich enough. You’re never going to be prepared to the fullest,’” she said. “But I think it’s just one of those things that the outcome is wonderful.”

While LeCroy still had apprehensions about experiencing pregnancy again, she was confident that the journey would be worth it.
“I’m not the best pregnant person. I’m not going to lie. It’s not my favorite thing,” she confessed. “But I know what I get at the end of the day.”

Creator Joanna Johnson loosely based the show’s premise on her own experience as a former cast member of The Bold and the Beautiful. After three seasons, ABC announced Hope & Faith‘s cancellation, and it has since become virtually impossible to rewatch the show in DVD form or on streaming platforms.

The actress has continued to have a career in front of the camera with appearances as herself on shows such as Ugly Betty, Hannah Montana, 30 Rock, Broad City and Home Economics. After joining Live! alongside Regis Philbin in 2001, Ripa has remained on the talk show for more than two decades. Her cohosts have changed over the years with husband Mark Consuelos being the latest person to join Ripa after Ryan Seacrest's time on the show came to an end.
Ripa and Consuelos, who played love interests on Hope & Faith, met in 1995 and eloped one year later. They expanded their family with son Michael Joseph (born in 1997), daughter Lola Grace (born in 2001) and son Joaquin Antonio (born in 2003).
Before her memorable role on Hope & Faith, Ford played Corky on CBS' Murphy Brown, which earned her five Emmy nominations. She has booked roles on TV shows including Criminal Minds, My Name Is Earl, The Middle, Killing It and Night Court.
On the big screen, Ford appeared in Prom and We Have a Ghost. She was married to Robert Nottingham from 1989 to 1996. Following their split, Ford found love with Campion Murphy and they tied the knot in 1998.
Ford has used her platform as an actor to discuss being diagnosed with Graves disease.
The actor took over the role of Charlie after Josh Stamberg originally played Hope's husband in the unaired pilot. McGinley has had a consistent presence on screen with roles in TV shows including Wizards of Waverly Place, Melissa & Joey, No Tomorrow, No Good Nick, Keeping Up With the Joneses and Shrinking.
McGinley has also appeared in many TV movies such as The Note, Notes From the Heart Healer, The Bridge and Fatherly Obsession. He had a two-episode stint on Dancing With the Stars in 2008 with professional dancer Inna Brayer as his partner.
McGinley has been married to Gigi Rice since 1991 and they share two sons: Beau and Quinn.
The role of Hope and Charlie's eldest daughter, Sydney, was recast a few times. Brie Larson originally scored the job in the unaired pilot before Paggi was brought in when the show was picked up.
After the first season, Paggi departed the show but continued to act in TV projects such as CSI: Miami, One on One, 90210, Rizzoli & Isles and 9-1-1. In December 2023, Paggi temporarily replaced Kirsten Storms as Maxie Jones on ABC's General Hospital before taking over officially in July 2025.
Paggi previously stepped away from the entertainment industry after welcoming her first daughter. She gave birth to a second child with her husband before they moved away from Los Angeles.
Taking over the role of Sydney on Hope & Faith season 2 was just the beginning of Fox's career. She went on to appear in movies such as Transformers, Jennifer's Body, This Is 40, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Midnight in the Switchgrass, Taurus and Good Mourning. Fox also starred as Reagan in seasons 5 and 6 of Fox's sitcom New Girl.
Fox met Brian Austin Green on the set of Hope & Faith when she was 18 and he was 30. They eventually started dating and got engaged in 2006. The duo, who got married in 2010, went on to welcome three kids.
Green announced in 2020 that he and Fox separated after nearly a decade of marriage. Their divorce was finalized in 2021. Fox found love with Machine Gun Kelly and the couple got engaged in 2022. They have since split but their first child, a girl, was born in 2025.
In addition to playing Hope and Charlie's youngest daughter, Hayley, Cruthird scored roles on Two and a Half Men, The Secret Life of the American Teenager and NCIS: Los Angeles. Cruthird, whose last TV role was in 2013, also appeared in three movies: Come Away Home, The Occupants and Minutes to Midnight.
According to her social media, Cruthird has pivoted to a career in nursing. She still lives in Los Angeles but often visits Texas.
Hope and Charlie's son, Justin, was initially brought to life by Slade Pearce. The role was then recast with the late Jansen Panettiere playing the youngest member of the Shanowski household in the pilot before Litt took over.
He later appeared in multiple episodes of Wizards of Waverly Place and The League. On the big screen, Litt has starred in — and been a producer on — movies such as The Day I Finally Decided to Kill Myself and Sex Guaranteed.
Litt mainly uses his social media to promote his projects and document his travels.
Consuelos' casting as Gary "The Gooch" Gucharez was a fun Easter egg for viewers familiar with Ripa's love life. The couple, who met on set of All My Children in 1995, have collaborated on several projects together over the years including Hope & Faith, Riverdale and Live With Kelly and Mark.
Consuelos has also continued to appear on TV shows including American Horror Story, Alpha House, Only Murders in the Building, How I Met Your Father and The Girls on the Bus. His role as Hiram Lodge on Riverdale, however, has been Us’ personal favorite from Consuelos’ filmography.
After transitioning into an acting career following being a Playboy model, McCarthy took on the role of Faith's best friend Mandi. McCarthy remained on the small screen in TV shows including What I Like About You and Two and a Half Men. She has also cohosted Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve since 2010 and was on The View from 2013 to 2014. McCarthy is currently a judge on The Masked Singer, which she has been a part of since 2019.
In 2002, McCarthy became a mother when she welcomed son Evan with then-husband John Mallory Asher. They subsequently called it quits and McCarthy found love with Donnie Wahlberg. After one year of dating, McCarthy and Wahlberg got engaged in 2014 and married later that year.
The TV host made many appearances on Hope & Faith as successful used car salesman Handsome Hal. Off screen, Philbin was already a household name from his time on Live! With Regis and Kathie Lee, which was later renamed to Live! With Regis and Kelly. He was also the original host of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.
Philbin was married to Catherine Faylen from 1955 to 1968 and they shared daughter Amy and son Daniel. He moved on with Joy Senese in 1970, and they shared daughters Joanna and J.J.
After dealing with several health issues, Philbin died from a heart attack due to coronary artery disease in 2020.
The actor made a handful of appearances as Hope and Faith's surprise half-brother, Jay. He previously rose to fame playing David on Roseanne from 1992 to 1997. Galecki reprised the role in the revival from 2018 to 2019 before departing the series.
Galecki is also known for playing Leonard on CBS' The Big Bang Theory from 2007 to 2019, for which he received an Emmy nomination. Galecki dated costar Kaley Cuoco for two years until their split in 2009. He started dating Alaina Meyer in 2018 and they welcomed their son, Orbison, one year later. Galecki and Meyer have since parted ways.
Galecki confirmed in his Architectural Digest March 2024 cover story that he is married to Morgan Galecki, who first appeared on his social media page in January 2023. The couple share daughter Oona.
Todd and Julie Chrisley’s youngest son has grown up since the family chronicled their life on Chrisley Knows Best.
Grayson was 7 years old when his parents and siblings started filming their eponymous reality TV show. (Todd and Julie have been married since 1996 and also share kids Savannah, Chase and Chloe, the latter of whom is the biological daughter of Todd’s son Kyle. Todd has two children from a previous marriage.)
“I don’t know anything different,” Grayson said of growing up on TV during a 2022 episode of Savannah’s “Unlocked” podcast. “I didn’t really understand what was going on, because I was like, ‘I don’t really have a choice.’ I had fun with it because I didn’t understand it. The older I got, the more I was like, ‘Oh, I gotta do this.’”
Chrisley Knows Best was canceled in November 2022 after 10 seasons when Todd and Julie were convicted of fraud. After Todd and Julie reported to prison, Savannah was granted custody of her minor siblings, Grayson and Chloe. It was Savannah who even saw her brother off to college in 2025.
“You are going to the University of Alabama. You were so excited when you got in,” Savannah told Grayson during a December 2024 podcast episode. “You graduated [from high school] a semester early, so you’re going in January. He’s actually going into college a semester early, but with college credits, as well. … [It’s] absolutely insane to have accomplished and to have done, and we could have not have done it without [his teachers].”

Nearly three years into their respective prison sentences, Todd and Julie were granted presidential pardons in June 2025. They returned home to the family’s Tennessee home in time for Father’s Day.
“Man, where do I start? Today is the first time in about 3 years we have actually been able to celebrate today,” Grayson wrote via Instagram. “Happy Father’s Day to the man I look up to and the man [who] has always been there even in his toughest times. I really don’t know how you do it, how you always know the right thing to say and do or how you always come out on top. I pray every day that one day I can be at least half the man you are.”

Education
Grayson completed high school online.
“Oaks Christian School has been awesome for Grayson,” Savannah said on her podcast in 2024, referring to the private school based in Los Angeles that her brother was enrolled in virtually. “It’s been such a blessing, especially for kids who travel or want that homeschool life. It’s really great for that.”
“It was good. I wasn’t as homesick as I thought it would be,” he said on a February 2025 episode of “Unlocked,” joking that Savannah kept sending “more” Target packages for his dorm setup. “[I’m] overly prepared. It did make the room a lot smaller, though, compared to my friends.”
Campus Life

During his 2025 podcast appearance, Grayson broke down what his life was like on campus.
“I love everything about it,” he gushed. “Been going to basketball games. We’re No. 4 in the country, and we’re great at everything.”
In addition to exploring extracurriculars and meeting girls, Grayson is also focused on his studies. He told Savannah his first-year classes were mostly “fine.”
“I [only] missed one,” he quipped before adding he has “not a single” complaint about his school.
Family Bonds
Despite moving away for college, Grayson remains tight with his siblings.
“[I miss home] a little bit,” he said on the 2025 podcast.
During school breaks, Savannah would also take him to visit their parents during their prison sentences.
“She’s so excited to see you and get the run-down of everything you’ve been doing,” Savannah said in February 2025 of mom Julie.
Grayson was particularly emotional when both of his parents were released from prison amid their pardons.
“He came in and he said, ‘Can I sleep with you tonight?’” Todd said during a July 2025 interview on Fox News. “I said, ‘You can.’”
Savannah chimed in, noting her brother said he was “scared to go to sleep” out of fear that Todd and Julie wouldn’t be in the house the next morning.
“[The best part] is really just being together,” Grayson said at the time. “I mean, you take those times for granted when they are home, and then when you realize one day it could be there and the next day it’s not, you know, it means just a little bit more.”
Fans were left wondering about the nature of the Bravo star’s relationship with her mom and dad when she claimed during the Next Gen NYC premiere on June 3, 2025, that her parents “took [her] money.”
“I can’t say exactly what they used it for, because I just found out it was gone two years ago,” she said. “I don’t even know how much money I made over that time period. Nobody was honest.”
Despite her claim, Ariana clarified on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen on June 29 that money issues wouldn’t get in the way of her bond with her parents, especially Kim.
“My mom, no matter what, will be my best friend forever,” she said.
As for Kroy, Ariana admitted that although their relationship can be rocky at times, “He will always be my dad, no matter what.”
In a recent interview with Access Hollywood’s Housewives Nightcap, Ariana also opened up about keeping her relationship with her parents “separate” amid their divorce, which began in May 2023.
“It’s been a difficult couple of years, but [we’re] definitely trying to stay together as much as a family, in whatever ways to get through this,” she said.

During an appearance on Gia Giudice’s “Casual Chaos” podcast, Ariana said that the divorce brought her closer to both Kim and her older sister, Brielle Biermann.
“The whole situation of everything brought me and my mom, and my sister closer,” she explained. “And we’re kind of like the three best friends, which I’m really grateful for.”

Where Does Ariana Biermann Stand With Kroy?
Ariana told Andy during her June 2025 appearance on WWHL that her relationship with Kroy “goes in waves.”
“It depends on what motion he’s filing throughout this insane divorce this week,” she said. “I think that it’s a tough situation right now, because I think a lot of these things are just coming from anger, and nothing else.”
“Growing up, he really was my best friend — more than my mom was for a while,” she explained. “We’re definitely not as close as we used to be, and I don’t really talk to him very often just because of this tough situation that we’re in. But I really do try to keep the divorce and my relationship with him and my mom separate. It just gets hard at times.”
Ariana Biermann Says Her Parents ‘Took My Money’
Ariana claimed on Next Gen NYC that her parents “took” the money she began making as a teen from Instagram brand deals. She later told Andy that she wanted to “clarify” what she meant.
“Everybody wants this to be my mother; this was a joint partnership in taking the money,” she said. “I gave my parents, though, a notice that this was — I’m gonna be telling the truth, my truth, my story, and this is what’s happening.”
Ariana said that the “only time my mom asks me for money is if it’s regarding the bills or it’s something that she needs for the kids,” adding that Kim would pay her back “when she can.”
Ariana explained that she “reconciled” with Kim over the money drama by realizing that “nobody wants to be put in situations that they are put into.”
“Money should never ruin a relationship with your family. You can always make more money, and God blesses us in that way. I have my mom and that’s all that matters,” she concluded.
Michael Madsen and estranged wife DeAnna Madsen’s relationship was full of ups and downs before their divorce and his eventual death.
The Reservoir Dogs star and DeAnna tied the knot in 1996 before welcoming sons Calvin, Hudson and Luke. (Michael also shares sons Christian and Max with ex-wife Jeannine Bisignano, whom he was married to from 1991 to 1995.)
Michael and DeAnna’s son Hudson died by suicide at age 26 in 2022. Two years later, Michael filed for divorce from DeAnna and cited irreconcilable differences. Us Weekly confirmed in July 2025 that Michael died from cardiac arrest at age 67.

The pair tied the knot.
January 2022
Michael and DeAnna’s son Hudson died by suicide at age 26. “We are heartbroken and overwhelmed with grief and pain at the loss of Hudson,” the family told Metro U.K. in a statement at the time. “His memory and light will be remembered by all who knew and loved him. We ask for privacy and respect during this difficult time.”
When Michael filed for divorce in September 2024, the paperwork revealed that the actor and DeAnna legally separated in January 2022 because he thought her “her neglect, drinking and alcoholism” led to their son Hudson’s death by suicide.
August 2024
Michael was arrested in August 2024 on a charge of misdemeanor domestic battery and booked
under California Penal Code section 243(e)(1), meaning using force or violence against a cohabitant. When authorities arrived on the scene, DeAnna reportedly refused to receive medical attention. Michael was later released after posting $20,000 bond.
“It was a disagreement between Michael and his wife, which we hope resolves positively for them both,” a rep said in a statement at the time. “We are thrilled that Michael Madsen is able to put this behind him and look forward to our continued collaboration with more great things coming from this veteran and respected actor.”
The L.A. County District Attorney told TMZ at the time that no charges would be filed because of insufficient evidence.
After his arrest, Michael’s attorney claimed to The Hollywood Reporter that DeAnna “broke into” the actor’s Malibu home to which he “confronted” her and “asked her” to leave. “Michael has shown immense compassion and restraint during this period towards his estranged wife,” Perry Wander said. “He’s definitely not guilty of domestic violence.”
DeAnna responded by alleging that Michael was “struggling” with his “own personal issues.” She added, “Myself and our children have been supporting him to the best of our ability. We would request privacy at this time.”
September 2024
Michael filed for divorce and sought a domestic violence restraining order while accusing DeAnna of putting him in an “abusive, co-dependent, and toxic relationship.” He alleged that DeAnna’s behavior caused his domestic violence arrest the previous month.
July 2025
After deputies responded to a 911 call, the Los Angeles Police Department told Us that Michael was found unresponsive at his home in Malibu, California. Authorities said no foul play is suspected in his death.
“In the last two years Michael Madsen has been doing some incredible work with independent film including upcoming feature films Resurrection Road, Concessions and Cookbook for Southern Housewives, and was really looking forward to this next chapter in his life,” Madsen’s managers Smith and Susan Ferris and publicist Liz Rodriguez told Us in a statement at the time.
The statement continued, “Michael was also preparing to release a new book called Tears For My Father: Outlaw Thoughts and Poems, currently being edited. Michael Madsen was one of Hollywood’s most iconic actors, who will be missed by many.”

Chopra Jonas, 42, took to Instagram on Thursday, July 3, to show off Jonas’ styling skills as he attempted to undo her hair after enjoying a day at Wimbledon on Tuesday, July 1. In the clip, Chopra Jonas shared that her brunette hair was stuck in a tight updo and she needed help getting it out.
“Here we go again. We’re doing it,” she said as Jonas went to work on her bun, taking out the hairdo. Chopra Jonas then zoomed in on her slicked back tresses and noted they felt “kind of crunch” from the product in her hair.
Jonas continued to pull out strands from the updo. “Nick’s doing his thing very diligently, Chopra Jonas praised. “Hopefully I’ll be out of this by tomorrow, thanks to Boo.”
Chopra Jonas teamed her updo with a full beat including smokey eyeshadow, long, flirty eyelashes, rosy cheeks and lined pink lips. She styled the look with a fringe plum dress equipped with short sleeves, a scoop neck collar, a cinched waist and a floor-length skirt.

The couple returned to Wimbledon on Thursday, but this time, Chopra Jonas decided to avoid the hassle and wear her hair down.

As franchise host Jesse Palmer geared up for the return of Bachelor in Paradise (with the help of bartender Wells Adams and “Paradise Relations” Hannah Brown), Us Weekly asked Jesse about the upcoming Golden Bachelor star Mel Owens after he made waves for comments about “cutting” women over the age of 60 when he starts handing out roses.
“I’ve seen the headlines, obviously, because I’m on social media. I have not heard the podcast,” Jesse told Us on Wednesday, July 2. “We haven’t started filming Golden yet, so I haven’t spent a ton of time with Mel. The small amount of time I have spent with him, he seems like a good guy. But I know I’m gonna get to spend a lot more time with him pretty soon. I’m sure that’s something we’re going to talk about.”
ABC announced Mel, 66, as the next senior lead in April. Season 1 of The Golden Bachelor (starring Gerry Turner) and season 1 of The Golden Bachelorette (starring Joan Vassos) both aired in the fall, meaning it’s likely Mel’s season is set to start shooting soon and will air later this year.
The network also recently renewed The Bachelor, which typically premieres in January, for season 30.
“It makes me feel old because I was Bachelor 5!” Jesse told Us. “The only thing I’m asking for is Bachelor 30 — I’ve already talked to executives about this — we’ve got to make this big. “We have been using the same cameras to film Paradise since the dawn of time. Having these new cameras and seeing how sharp and how slick it looks — it’s like I’m watching a movie,” Wells told Us on Wednesday. “When they told me that they were gonna do this, I was really excited about it. Mainly because the show is so sexy, naturally — everyone’s so hot — we should have the highest quality cameras capturing the beauty of these people.”
Jesse also noted the “very fresh and new look” to the show. “I think viewers who watch it will notice that within seconds of the very, very first episode. I thought it looked great,” he told Us.

LeBron Jamesand many other figures from the sports world mourned the tragic death of Liverpool soccer star Diogo Jota at age 28.
Jota and his brother, André Silva, 25, died in a car accident in the early morning hours of Thursday, July 3, in the Spanish province of Zamora. The fatal crash occurred less than two weeks after Jota married his longtime partner, Rute Cardoso, in Porto, Portugal, on June 22.
A spokesperson for the Spanish Guardia Civil told BBC News that its initial investigation determined that “the car, which was a Lamborghini, was in a road traffic accident and left the road due to a tire blowout while overtaking.”
“It was in the early hours, 00:30 BST, in the municipality of Cernadilla in the province of Zamora. The car caught on fire, and the two occupants were killed,” their statement continued.
NBA legend James, 40, was among the sports luminaries to pay tribute to Jota, writing via X on Thursday, “My prayers goes out to his loved ones during this time! May you all be guided and protected! YNWA [‘You’ll Never Walk Alon’e] JOTA!!”

Soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo wrote via social media that Jota’s death “doesn’t make sense” since they only recently played together on Portugal’s national team.

“Just now we were together in the national team, you had just got married,” Ronaldo, 40, added. “To your family, your wife and your children, I send my condolences and wish them all the strength in the world. I know you’ll always be with them. Rest in peace, Diogo and Andre. We’ll all miss you.”
Jota’s Liverpool teammate Darwin Núñez acknowledged that “there are no words of consolation for so much pain” following the young athlete’s death.
“I will always remember you with your smile, as a good companion on and off the field,” Núñez, 26, vowed via Instagram. “I send all my strength to his family, from wherever he is I am sure he will always be with you, especially to his wife and his three children.”
Liverpool’s former manager, Jürgen Klopp, penned his own poignant memorial for the promising player he signed to Liverpool F.C. in 2020.
“This is a moment where I struggle! There must be a bigger purpose! But I can’t see it,” Klopp, 58, wrote via Instagram. “I’m heartbroken to hear about the passing of Diogo and his brother André. Diogo was not only a fantastic player, but also a great friend, a loving and caring husband and father! We will miss you so much!”
Klopp continued, “All my prayers, thoughts and power to Rute, the kids, the family, the friends and everyone who loved them! Rest in peace.”
Liverpool Football Club published a statement on its website to express its athletes’ grief and disbelief over losing one of their beloved teammates.

“Liverpool Football Club are devastated by the tragic passing of Diogo Jota. The club have been informed the 28-year-old has passed away following a road traffic accident in Spain along with his brother, Andre,” the organization said. “Liverpool FC will be making no further comment at this time and request the privacy of Diogo and Andre’s family, friends, teammates and club staff is respected as they try to come to terms with an unimaginable loss. We will continue to provide them with our full support.”
Likewise, Portuguese Football Federation president Pedro Proenca declared that the country’s entire sports community was “completely devastated by the death of Diogo Jota and his brother André.”
“Much more than an amazing player, with almost 50 international appearances for the national team, Diogo Jota was an extraordinary person, someone with an infectious joy and a reference in the community itself,” Proenca said. “On my behalf, and on behalf of the Portuguese Football Federation, I express my deepest condolences to the family and friends of Diogo and Andre Silva, as well as Liverpool FC and FC Penafiel, the clubs where, respectively, they played their football.”
Proenca’s statement concluded, “The loss of Diogo and Andre represent irreplaceable losses for Portuguese football and we will do everything, daily, to honor their legacy.”
Days before Jota’s death, his wife, Cardoso, shared several photos from the couple’s wedding via social media, remarking that her “dream came true” when she tied the knot with the Liverpool player.
“But I’m the lucky one,” Jota replied.
Jota is survived by Cardoso and their three children: two sons, Dinis and Duarte, born in 2021 and 2023, respectively, and a daughter whose name has not been publicly disclosed.

With Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sex trafficking trial concluding on Wednesday, July 2, celebrities have flocked to social media to share their opinions.
The rap mogul was found guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution but was acquitted on two counts of sex trafficking and one racketeering conspiracy charge. Each transportation charge carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison, meaning Diddy, 55, could face up to 20 years.
Since his arrest in September 2024, Diddy has been held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. His requests for bail were denied by Judge Arun Subramanian, including the request made after the verdict was read. He will remain in custody until his sentencing in October.
Diddy pleaded not guilty to all charges and has denied all of the allegations against him.
“We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office,” Diddy’s attorney Marc Agnifilo said in a statement at the time of his arrest. “He is an imperfect person, but he is not a criminal. To his credit Mr. Combs has been nothing but cooperative with this investigation and he voluntarily relocated to New York last week in anticipation of these charges. Please reserve your judgment until you have all the facts. These are the acts of an innocent man with nothing to hide, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court.”
Diddy’s arrest came nearly one year after his ex-girlfriend Cassie filed a lawsuit against him accusing him of sexual and physical abuse throughout their relationship, which lasted off and on from 2007 to 2018. One day after the suit was filed, Diddy and Cassie, 38, settled out of court.
The mogul denied her claims in a statement shared by his attorney.
“Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations,” Diddy’s lawyer Ben Brafman said at the time.
Many celebrity reactions have referenced Cassie and the video that CNN published in May 2024 showing Diddy kicking and grabbing her in 2016. He later apologized for his actions in a video shared via Instagram.

The rapper has been a vocal defender of Diddy throughout his trial, and he reacted via X, calling it a “great day n hip hop.”
“I’m tired of seeing us Black moguls get took down like that,” he said. He added that he was “tired of seeing us Black people go against us Black moguls like that.”
The former wide receiver stirred controversy when he claimed Cassie was not a victim in the trial. In a reply to sports reporter Ashley Nicole Moss, who expressed sympathy for Cassie, Bryant, 36, wrote, “I respect your opinions heavy but Cassie wasn’t no victim.. not even close.”
When Moss replied, “We saw her beaten on camera,” Bryant wrote, “I was referring to the freak offs and drugs she chose to participate in…”
“Her getting beat was extremely unacceptable but a lot of you people gotta understand your wife of 15yrs will risk her family for a life style in Hollywood,” he added in another post. “Accountability have to play its part somewhere.”
Bryant continued to double-down in later comments.
“I know you read the rest of my other tweets but you insist to point this one out… a lot of you folks on the internet got real mental issues,” he wrote. “Diddy and Cassie nasty as f***…other than her getting her ass beat on the elevator I don’t have Grace her.. I have daughters and I can promise you they won’t be going down that route…”

Hargitay didn’t give any comment herself but reshared two images from Glamour magazine via her Instagram Stories.
“We won’t forget what we saw you did to Cassie on that video,” the first one read, followed by, “Combs joins a long line of powerful and famous men who have allegedly engaged in abuse, yet faced minimal consequence.”
Kesha, who herself accused music producer Dr. Luke of drugging and raping her, offered a post via X directed to Cassie. (Dr. Luke denied the allegations and sued her for defamation. The two settled that suit in 2023.)

The former Danity Kane member shared a video of the verdict being announced on CNN via her Instagram Stories, writing “wow” over the post.
“Oh, this makes me physically ill. Cassie probably feels so horrible. I’m gonna vomit,” she said in the video.
She followed up in another slide, writing, “I’m still unpacking the magnitude of it all. The cultural weight of this decision is immeasurable. It is heartbreaking to witness how many lives have been impacted by their experiences with Sean Combs — only for those stories to fall short in the eyes of a judge. I can only hope these jurors never have to watch someone they love endure what so many survivors have described.”
