Gwyneth Paltrow Keeps This $19 Facial Mist on Her Vanity

19 April 2025 at 04:15

When a celebrity posts a photo of their skincare lineup, we’re the first to screenshot and zoom in on all the goods. Recently, Gwyneth Paltrow shared a vanity shot on her Instagram story — and we couldn’t help but notice it included this $19 facial mist that’s available on Amazon.

While the Avène Thermal Spring Water Facial Mist is suitable for all skin types, it’s especially good for those with sensitive skin since it’s made with only two ingredients: Avène thermal spring water and nitrogen. The thermal spring water, which calms redness and soothes skin, can be used after exfoliating or using retinol treatments to counteract irritation.

Using the spray is foolproof — it spritzes out into a fine mist, and it can be applied in a number of ways, like after cleansing, before moisturizing or throughout the day when your skin is feeling dehydrated. The travel size version can be thrown in your gym bag or stashed in your car for on-the-go pick-me-ups.

Garnering over 11,000 impressive five-star reviews on Amazon, everyday shoppers are just as obsessed with the facial mist.

One reviewer said it “has quickly become an essential part of [their] skincare routine, especially after facial treatments like Moxi laser.” Another shopper noted how it’s a product they “always keep stocked” for how “hydrating” and “lightweight” it is, not to mention how well it “calms and refreshes.”

When we learn that one of our favorite celebs uses an ultra-affordable skincare product, we run to Amazon to snatch it up. Snag a bottle (or two) of the Avène Thermal Spring Water Facial Mist — there’s no telling how long it will be in stock!

3 Great HBO and Max Movies to Watch This Easter Weekend

19 April 2025 at 03:30

It’s Easter weekend, which means a laid-back springtime vibe is in the air.

If you’re looking for something to watch after the egg hunt is over — hopefully while you and the kids are digging into some Peeps or Cadbury eggs — turn on Max.

The streaming service from HBO and Warner Bros. Discovery offers a wide selection of family-friendly films that are sweet without being treacly.

‘My Neighbor Totoro’ (1988)

In this animated masterpiece from Japanese filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki, Satsuki and Mei (voiced by Dakota Fanning and Elle Fanning in the English-language version ) move with their father to a house in the country while their mother is in the hospital. As the two little girls explore their new home, they encounter a mysterious, playful and ridiculously adorable spirit called Totoro. The titular creature introduces them to a magical world of nature spirits that have become iconic symbols of Japanese animation in their own right. (Studio Ghibli — Miyazaki’s film studio — even has its own theme park in Japan.)

18 Great New Movies to Watch on Netflix, (HBO) Max, Amazon Prime, Hulu, More

The whimsical, imaginative nature of this movie is both exciting and soothing. The imagery is beautiful, and the young Fanning sisters are delightful in their voice acting roles. My Neighbor Totoro contains themes about family and nature that are just right for this time of year.

‘Flow’ (2024)

This Oscar-winning animated film is a unique visual feast. It features an all-animal cast and no spoken lines, yet the stunning visuals and charming animal characters make it just as captivating as any joke-heavy Disney or Pixar movie. (The Latvian film had such an impact that a statue of the cat has been installed in its capital city of Riga.)

Flow is about an adorable black cat trying to find a new home in a post-apocalyptic world. With an ever-growing crew of unlikely animal friends (including a capybara and a whale), the cat endeavors to find a safe haven and escape rising water levels. It’s a hopeful, modern environmental fable that will inspire you to take care of both the people and the animals in your life.

‘Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory’ (1971)

Nothing says Easter like candy, and nothing says candy like Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Before Johnny Depp and Timothée Chalamet took on the role, Gene Wilder put his unique stamp on the iconic character who transported viewers into a “world of pure imagination” in this first adaptation of the Roald Dahl classic.

3 Underrated HBO and Max Movies to Watch This Weekend (April 18-20)

From the vibrant sets to the engaging performances to the charming musical numbers, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is the very definition of a magical film. This movie was definitely ahead of its time in terms of eye-catching production design, and while the versions that followed are great, you really can’t beat the original. As Veruca Salt would say, “I want it now!”

10 Must-See Sci-Fi Movies on Netflix Right Now (April 2025)

19 April 2025 at 03:00

There are currently only a handful of sci-fi movies on Netflix that come from major studios like Warner Bros. Pictures.

Titles like Dune: Part Two are good to have around, but they won’t be staying forever.

Fortunately, Netflix also has a selection of great sci-fi films that were made for the streamer. And these titles aren’t going anywhere.

For now, these are the 10 best sci-fi movies on Netflix. But make sure you catch Blade Runner before it leaves Netflix on April 30.

Need more recommendations? Then check out the Best New Movies on Netflix, (HBO) Max, Hulu, Amazon Prime and More, the Best Movies on Amazon Prime Video Right Now, the Best Rom-Com Movies on Netflix Right Now and the 4 Underrated Movies on Netflix in April 2025.

The second half of Denis Villeneuve’s adaptation of Frank Herbert’s Dune finds Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) and his mother, Lady Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson), living among the Fremen of Arrakis and conducting raids on their enemies in House Harkonnen.

Dune: Part Two also gives Paul significantly more time with Chani (Zendaya), his Fremen lover who is disturbed by prophecies that he is the messiah of her people. Paul says he doesn’t want to rule the Fremen, but every possible outcome is leading him on a path to claim power in the entire universe at the cost of an intergalactic holy war.

Dune: Part Two is streaming on Netflix.

Why is Furiosa (Anya Taylor-Joy) always so furious in the Mad Max films? You’d be angry too if you were stolen from your home by the men who murdered your mother. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga gives its title character an origin story and a nemesis — Dementus (Chris Hemsworth).

As much as Furious hated Immortan Joe (Lachy Hulme) in Mad Max: Fury Road, her anger towards Dementus knows no bounds. If it takes Furiosa years to get her revenge, she’ll wait and plot to destroy Dementus. And it still may not be enough to unseat this warlord from power in the wasteland.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is streaming on Netflix.

Prior to reteaming for Deadpool & Wolverine, Ryan Reynolds and director Shawn Levy collaborated on the Netflix original film, The Adam Project. Reynolds plays Adam Reed, a time travel pilot who goes back in time from 2050 to prevent the death of his wife, Laura Shane (Zoe Saldaña). Instead of arriving at his intended destination, Adam arrives in the present and comes face-to-face with his 12-year-old self (Walker Scobell).

There’s a bigger conspiracy across time than either Adam could have dreamed, and it traces back to their late father, Louis Reed (Mark Ruffalo), who died the year before. The two Adams may even get to see their dad one last time if they can stay alive long enough to reach him.

In the future envisioned by Blade Runner, replicants aren’t meant to replace people and they aren’t supposed to have feelings. These human-like androids were made for all of the hard work that real people couldn’t do on other planets. But when replicants rebel against their functions, Blade Runners like Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford) have to hunt them down.

Deckard’s latest targets include Roy Batty (Rutger Hauer) and Pris (Daryl Hannah), both of whom possess more humanity than mere machines. Deckard is also astonished when he meets a replicant named Rachael (Sean Young), and even he can barely tell that she’s not human. Blade Runner raises a lot of questions about what it means to be a human, just don’t expect all of the answers.

Blade Runner: The Final Cut is streaming on Netflix.

Don’t watch Melancholia if you’re feeling depressed — it's only going to make you feel worse. It’s a story in two parts about a rogue planet named Melancholia that is about to slam into Earth. And unlike Michael Bay’s Armageddon, there aren’t enough nukes in the world to send up Bruce Willis with a bomb to blow it off course.

The world was already ending for Justine (Kirsten Dunst) before she realized that Melancholia was heading towards Earth. It takes her sister, Claire (Charlotte Gainsbourg), longer to process the end of everything. This isn’t a movie about averting the end, it’s about the choices these sisters make when time runs out.

There are four main characters in Stowaway, and that’s a problem because their spaceship can only handle three people. On a two-year mission to Mars, Zoe Levenson (Anna Kendrick), Marina Barnett (Toni Collette) and David Kim (Daniel Dae Kim) were supposed to make the trip together. Michael Adams (Shamier Anderson) was caught on board by accident.

Since Michael’s presence is endangering the mission and the lives of the crew, he’s the one who’s expected to sacrifice himself. However, Zoe wants to wait until the last possible moment before letting Michael take that step. But the crew may not have as much time as they think.

What Happened to Monday was among the first Netflix original movies before the streamer produced seemingly countless films every year. In the future, overpopulation has led to strict rules about having children. Terrence Settman (Willem Dafoe) came up with a novel solution for his seven granddaughters (all played by Noomi Rapace).

To hide the truth of their existence, only one daughter – named for her day of the week – is allowed to leave at a time. This week, Monday never came home and her sisters want to know what happened. And they’re willing to break the rules that governed their lives to solve the mystery.

Oxygen may be one of the most claustrophobic movies ever made. That’s because Elizabeth "Liz" Hansen (Mélanie Laurent) wakes up in a stasis pod without her memory or any idea how she got there. The onboard A.I., M.I.L.O. (Mathieu Amalric), offers her some assistance, but even M.I.L.O. can’t open the pod without the access code.

Using only the tools she has in the pod, Liz has to jog her memory and learn who she is in the hope that she can remember what she needs to know before the oxygen runs out.

It’s lonely out in space, especially for cosmonaut Jakub Procházka (Adam Sandler) in Spaceman. This film has a rare dramatic turn for Sandler, whose character is emotionally crippled on his long trip to Jupiter. Mission Control won’t even tell Jakub that his wife, Lenka (Carey Mulligan), wants to leave him.

Jakub’s only companion on this journey is an alien spider he names Hanuš (Paul Dano), which can communicate with him telepathically. Once Hanuš learns more about Jakub and humanity in general, he may not be as willing to hang around.

Get ready for all the John Boyega you can handle in They Cloned Tyrone. He both is and isn’t the title character. More accurately, Boyega is playing several characters, including Fontaine, a drug dealer whose murder is witnessed by one of his clients, Slick Charles (Jamie Foxx).

When Fontaine reappears the next day as if nothing happened, Slick convinces him and the only other witness, a sex worker named Yo-Yo (Teyonah Parris), to help him figure out what’s really going on. Their investigation leads to uncomfortable revelations about how many clones are out in the wild, and why their neighborhood is being preyed upon.

3 Great Netflix Movies to Watch This Easter Weekend

19 April 2025 at 02:00

This Easter weekend, you might want to slow down from egg-hunting and ham-cooking to watch a movie with your family.

If so, hop on down the bunny trail to Netflix to watch one of these fun, kid-friendly movies that adults will be sure to love too.

Not only do these three flicks all feature bunnies (of one kind or another), they have great messages, fun writing and captivating stories.

Hallmark Easter Movies Are Rare, But These 3 Films Are All About the Holiday

‘Peter Rabbit’ (2018)

A fun, fluffy romp based on Beatrix Potter’s beloved children’s book, Peter Rabbit stars James Corden as the fun-loving veggie thief who delights in stealing from Old Mr. McGregor. But when McGregor’s younger nephew, Thomas (Domhnall Gleeson), inherits the property and decides to up his anti-pest measures, it leads to an escalating war with the local wildlife. Bea (Rose Byrne), his next-door neighbor, is a friend to animals and humans alike and gets caught between her budding romance with Thomas and her loyalty to her bunny friends.

4 Underrated Netflix Movies You Need to Watch in April 2025

Peter Rabbit is the perfect Easter film — whimsical, lighthearted and full of adorable animals. (Margot Robbie, Daisy Ridley, and Elizabeth Debicki are particularly endearing as Peter’s sisters Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail.) It’s a whole garden’s worth of fun.

Peter Rabbit is streaming on Netflix.

‘Rise of the Guardians’ (2012)

In this movie, mythical figures like Santa Claus (Alec Baldwin), the Tooth Fairy (Isla Fisher), the Sandman and the Easter Bunny (Hugh Jackman) secretly use their powers to protect children as the Guardians of Childhood. Jack Frost (Chris Pine) has never wanted the responsibility of being a Guardian and claims not to care if children believe in him. But when the evil Boogeyman (Jude Law) begins using nightmares to stop children from believing in the Guardians, weakening their powers, Jack must step up to the plate and protect the wonder, memories, dreams and hope of the world’s children.

Rise of the Guardians features beautiful animation, fun visual gags (the non-verbal Sandman uses sand to communicate in pictures, which is always entertaining) and a powerful message about the beauty of childhood innocence. It’s a good watch any time of year, but Jackman’s hilariously stoic Easter Bunny performance means you’ve got to check it out for the holiday.

Rise of the Guardians is streaming on Netflix.

‘Nimona’ (2023)

In an imaginative world that blends futuristic tech with medieval knights, kings, and queens, Nimona (Chloë Grace Moretz) is a girl who just doesn’t fit in. She’s a shapeshifter, capable of becoming any animal. (She does so constantly — and hilariously — throughout the film.) When common-born knight Ballister Boldheart (Riz Ahmed) is framed for killing the Queen (Lorraine Toussaint), Nimona sees a kindred spirit in the “villain” and declares herself his sidekick. Nimona is mischievous and destructive, with a love of fighting and chaos. Ballister has no desire to be a villain, but the more he learns about the circumstances of the Queen’s death, the more he realizes his kingdom isn’t the perfect place he believed it to be.

3 Guilty Pleasure Movies You Should Stream in April 2025

As they team up to prove Ballister’s innocence and take down the villainous Director of the Elite Knights (Frances Conroy), Ballister and Nimona form a true friendship. Nimona features a creative, chaotic animation style, an important message about being true to yourself and a twist ending that will bring a tear to your eye.

Arnold Schwarzenegger's Son Christopher Poses With Family in Rare Photo

18 April 2025 at 22:08

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son Christopher posed alongside his family in a rare snap of the siblings together.

The Terminator star’s daughter Katherine shared the family photo via a recent Instagram post. The photo also featured fellow siblings Christina Schwarzenegger, 33, and Patrick Schwarzenegger, 31, all of which Arnold shares with ex-wife Maria Shriver.

“My favorites forever and always,” Katherine, 35, captioned the image.

The siblings also have a half-brother, Joseph Baena, 27, who the Kindergarten Cop star fathered with the family’s former housekeeper, Mildred “Patty” Baena, after having an affair while still married to Shriver. Baena was not present for the family photo.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Maria Shriver Support Son at 'White Lotus' Premiere

Christopher, 27, largely keeps out of the spotlight, so when fans noticed his appearance next to his brother and sisters, they were quick to comment on the post.

“Wow amazing! Christopher is looking really good now!” wrote one follower, while another added, “Such a beautiful family! 😍

Meanwhile, Patrick has followed in his father’s footsteps and pursued an acting career. He recently starred in season three of The White Lotus, where he played Saxon Ratliff.

The Schwarzenegger siblings, their parents and Katherine’s husband, actor Chris Pratt, all attended the show’s star-studded premiere in Los Angeles in February and posed for photos on the red carpet.

During a recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, Patrick was asked whether his parents ever join him to watch the series.

The actor confessed that “it was a little nerve-wracking watching the first episode with my whole family because I do take some clothes off.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger Reacts to Son Patrick’s Nude Scene in ‘White Lotus'

Patrick, who features in some full frontal scenes in The White Lotus, said there were some episodes he’d steer clear of watching with his mom and dad.

“I think some upcoming episodes I’m going to watch without them,” he added. “[I] would definitely take a bathroom break [if things get too awkward]. The next episodes, they’re crazy.”

Arnold and Shriver divorced in 2011 but they have amicably navigated coparenting together following their split. (The actor married Maria in April 1986 after first meeting in 1977. The pair announced their separation in May 2011 amid reports of infidelity on Arnold’s part.)

“We are very proud of the way we raised our kids,” Arnold told The Hollywood Reporter in May 2023. “Even though we had this drama, we did Easter together, Mother’s Day together, the Christmases together, all birthdays — everything together.”

The actor continued, “If there’s Oscars for how to handle divorce, Maria and I should get it for having the least amount of impact on the kids.”

Kenneth Choi Was ‘Sobbing Uncontrollably’ After ‘9-1-1’ Character’s Death

18 April 2025 at 20:15

Captain Bobby Nash’s tragic death on 9-1-1’s two-part event this week left legions of fans heartbroken and in tears — and cast member Kenneth Choi was just as devastated.

Choi, who plays Howard ‘Chimney’ Han, opened up to Entertainment Weekly on Friday, April 18 about just how emotional he became when the popular character, played by his costar Peter Krause, was killed off.

“I was sobbing,” Choi, 53, who played a key role in the dramatic scenes that culminated in Nash’s demise, told the outlet.

“I mean, I f***ing filmed it and I was still sobbing uncontrollably with my friend for like three or four minutes to the point where I started to laugh at myself, because it was uncontrollable sobbing. I was laughing at myself saying, ‘I don’t know what is happening! I know this isn’t real! Why am I acting like this?’ But it was devastating to me.”

'9-1-1' Main Character Killed Off in Devastating 2-Part Event After 8 Years

Choi also reflected on the moment 9-1-1’s showrunner Tim Minear told him that they were planning to get rid of Nash, who had been at the center of the show since its inception in 2018. The actor said he didn’t want to believe it was actually happening and struggled to absorb the news.

“I just kind of went into those stages of grief. Denial, mostly: ‘This doesn’t make any sense. Why would you do that? You’re kind of killing off our father figure…’” Choi recalled.

He added: “And he explained creatively why he thought it was the right choice, and I fought him on it. And I continued to fight him on it. I fought him on it up until we kind of did the funeral stuff, because I was thinking, ‘Maybe they’ll pull it back. Maybe they’ll change their minds. Maybe they’ll reverse course.. But…yeah.”

‘9-1-1’ Burning Questions From Fans After Bobby Nash’s Shocking Death

The two-part 9-1-1 event, which aired Thursday, April 17,  saw Nash and the 118 called to a research lab at the Southern California Institute of Technology, which had become a biohazard after being set on fire. The dire scenario led to Choi’s character Chimney contracting a deadly and rare virus, which could only be cured by a single vaccine.

When Chimney managed to get his hands on the cure — thanks to Buck (Oliver Stark) and Athena’s (Angela Bassett) efforts — Bobby hid the truth about his mask breaking so Chimney would take the vaccine for himself. It was revealed that Bobby had also become infected with the deadly virus, and sacrificed himself so Chimney could survive.

This Tinted SPF 46 SPF Is the Only Formula That Doesn’t Break Out My Mature Skin

18 April 2025 at 19:30

It’s taken me years, but I finally kicked the habit of wearing foundation every day. Yes — I used to apply foundation to my skin on a daily basis. I always knew it wasn’t great, but I only realized how much it was wreaking havoc on my complexion when I started experiencing skin changes in my 30s. My acne started raging, and I couldn’t hide the uneven skin tone. That’s when I started searching for a product that still offered some coverage without clogging pores. Enter, EltaMD’s life-changing tinted SPF. I promise I’m not being dramatic — it’s just that good.

According to the brand, EltaMD has over 30 years of experience in developing “safe and effective professional skin care products for everybody under the sun.” The hard work clearly paid off, since its product lineup is the number one recommended and trusted skincare brand by dermatologists.

Specifically, the EltaMD UV Clear Tinted Broad-Spectrum SPF 46 is perfect for the days when you want a bit of coverage but would prefer to skip heavy foundation. Lightweight and soothing, it contains gentle ingredients that are suitable for all skin types. The product is crafted with 5% niacinamide (vitamin B3), which reduces the appearance of blemishes and uneven skin tone. It also contains micronized zinc oxide, shielding the skin from harmful UVA (aging) and UVB (burning) rays. Unlike other sunscreens, EltaMD’s option blends in so well that it never leaves a sticky white cast behind. The sheer tint is a perfect match for my olive skin, but those with lighter or deeper skin tones will also enjoy its coverage.

Still, don’t just take my word for it — over 2,000 shoppers have left reviews, praising the broad-spectrum sunscreen.

“EltaMD’s tinted sunscreen is lightweight, blends seamlessly and evens out my skin tone while providing great sun protection,” one five-star shopper said. “It’s hydrating, non-greasy, and never looks cakey. A must-have for a natural, glowing look!”

“I’ve tried multiple sunscreens, physical and chemical, Korean, Japanese, French, you name it,” another wrote. “Nothing protects my skin better than this! It decreased my hyperpigmentation and made my skin look better than putting BB cream/foundation on! I’ve never felt more confident and protected with just sunscreen!”

One person even commented on the smell, calling it “incredible.”

“It leaves my skin feeling super moisturized and fresh,” they continued. “And the tint is just enough to give me a natural, no-makeup look. Not to mention the benefits of SPF. I doubt it gets better.”

There’s nothing like the EltaMD UV Clear Tinted Broad-Spectrum SPF 46, so go ahead and give it a try!

Teddi Mellencamp Clarifies John Mellencamp's Family Mausoleum Conversation

18 April 2025 at 19:24

Teddi Mellencamp is defending her dad, John Mellencamp, after revealing he made comments about her joining the family mausoleum.

Speaking on the Friday, April 18 episode of iHeartRadio’s “Diamonds in the Rough” podcast Teddi, who is in the midst of a stage IV cancer battle, clarified his remarks were made in jest.

According to Teddi, 43, her father knows her so well that he knew that the joke would help lighten the mood as they tackled the emotionally and physically heavy situation.

“My dad knows that I need like, some comedy to this,” she explained to cohost Erika Janye, before adding that John, 73, supported her through the tough, serious stuff as well.

Teddi Mellencamp Says Dad John Asked if She’ll Be in Family Mausoleum

She continued: “His next quote or his next thing was like, all right, now we actually really do have to get talking serious, like we need to talk about your will and like your living trust and like, do the things we need to do, you know.”

Teddi doubled-down on how much she appreciated humor as they navigated the necessary but tough tasks surround her health issues, adding, “But like sometimes I don’t want just someone to come pummel me.

During the podcast, Teddi also explained that she told family members, including her sister, not to cry around her during her cancer battle.

It comes after Teddi revealed in the April 8 episode of the podcast that John had tried to call her 11 times in a row.

When he finally got a hold of his daughter, John had a question for her.

“Finally, I answer, I’m like, ‘I’m in the bath. Let me live a little,’” Teddi recalled. “He goes, ‘I just want to make sure you’re going to be in our group family mausoleum.”

Teddi said she replied that she has kids and didn’t know where they would go in the mausoleum. (She and her estranged husband Edwin Arroyave share kids Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and Dove, 5. Arroyave is also father to eldest daughter Isabella, from a previous relationship.)

Teddi Mellencamp ‘Cried’ from Dad John’s ‘Support’ Amid Brain Tumor Battle

“He’s like, ‘Well, there’s going to be the top five and then we’re gonna have little areas around it, and then that’s where everyone’s going to get buried,’” she continued. “He goes, ‘You’re doing your will right now, so you may as well put it in there.’”

Teddi is continuing to battle stage IV melanoma, which has spread to her brain and lungs. She underwent surgery in February to address tumors on her brain before doctors found more tumors in March.

The Real Housewives alum told Nightline earlier this month that she tries to use humor in a situation she describes as feeling like “the hardest thing I’ve ever done.”

“If I didn’t find humor, I would cry,” she said. “Even with my kids, the other day, we kept forgetting something and we often go, ‘The tumors!’ It’s kind of the only way.”

'Fire Country' Reveals That [Spoiler]'s Life Is at Risk After Stalker Twist

18 April 2025 at 18:59

Fire Country just revealed that a main character’s life is at risk following that shocking stalker twist.

During the Friday, April 18, episode of Fire Country, Gabriela (Stephanie Arcila) attempted to move on after a brief romance with Finn (Blake Lee) made her uncomfortable thanks to some concerning and persistent text messages. The former couple reunited, however, when a fire broke out at Finn’s house and he was found injured.

Finn apologized to Gabriela for his strange behavior on their way to the hospital. Jake (Jordan Calloway) and Audrey (Leven Rambin), meanwhile, stayed behind to deal with the source of the fire. This took them into the basement where they found countless photos of Gabriela — proving that Finn has been stalking her.

Fans of Freeform’s short-lived series Cruel Summer probably felt the similarities considering Lee played a creepy kidnapper on the first season of that show. But back on Fire Country, Vince (Billy Burke) was made aware that Finn was a danger to Gabriela, which meant he was able to stop the ambulance before things escalated.

Memorable 'Fire Country' Guest Stars: From Kane Brown to Jared Padalecki

Finn was able to escape — with a weapon! — which concerned Gabriela’s loved ones. In the final scene, Manny (Kevin Alejandro) asked Gabriela where her gun was after she told him he couldn’t keep her safe all the time.

Elsewhere in the episode, Jake contemplated a change after feeling like there was no room for him to grow. Vince’s support after Jake got a new job made Jake feel even worse. Then there was the Oxalta drama, which seemed to finally come to an end after Bode (Max Thieriot) and his family were nearly threatened into staying quiet.

Fire Country, which is currently airing its third season, has been putting Gabriela through the wringer when it comes to her personal life. In season 1, Gabriela formed a connection with Bode while dating Jake (Jordan Calloway). Gabriela ended her relationship with Jake to wait for Bode until he was released from the California Conservation Camp Program. Bode broke things off when he was sent back to prison, and by the beginning of the second season, Gabriela was engaged to Diego.

Gabriela didn’t end up getting married to Diego — but she didn’t get back together with Bode either. Instead, she had a one night stand with Jake and then met Finn — to disastrous results.

CBS Is Invested in Spinoffs: Guide to Every Show Universe They Are Expanding

“It’s important for anyone in any relationship — and for people seeing it from the outside — to see the battle between your mind and your heart and what should be and what shouldn’t be. All of that is so human,” Arcila, 35, told Us Weekly in October 2024 about Gabriela’s conflicting feelings. “Society has built these fairy-tale stories especially for women. The fact that people get to see Gabriella question things and not know where she’s going is a beautiful part of the story.”

The actress told Us she was expecting frustration from viewers. “A lot of people are angry, and a lot of people are like, ‘Wait, what’s going on? What are you going to do? What is this?'” she noted. “But at the end of the day, we’re just all perfectly flawed humans.”

At the time, Arcila said she was looking forward to more growth for Gabriela, adding, “There’s going to be lots of changes. This is a season that definitely shows her imperfections, which I’m so excited for because we’re all human. We’re not perfect. We make mistakes, and we all deserve forgiveness and redemption. So, this is a story about redemption.”

J.K. Rowling's Most Controversial Moments Through the Years

18 April 2025 at 18:54

J.K. Rowling is considered one of the most successful authors of all time for writing the fictional Harry Potter series, but her real-life opinions have stirred controversy.

The author first came under fire in 2007 shortly after the series’ final book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, was published. Rowling revealed to fans at Carnegie Hall that Albus Dumbledore had romantic feelings for his friend turned rival, Gellert Grindelwald, when they were teenagers.

“Dumbledore fell in love with Grindelwald, and that added to his horror when Grindelwald showed himself to be what he was,” Rowling said at the time. Some fans took issue with the revelation because Dumbledore’s sexuality was never explicitly mentioned in the book series.

The Casual Vacancy author faced backlash again in December 2019 when she publicly supported British researcher Maya Forstater, who was fired after making transphobic comments.

Her comments — which she later defended in a lengthy essay — caused celebrities including Daniel Radcliffe, Eddie Redmayne and Emma Watson to voice their allyship with the transgender community.

After the U.K. Supreme Court ruled that womanhood is legally defined by biological sex, Rowling posted a photo of herself celebrating with a drink and a cigar. "I love it when a plan comes together," she wrote via X in April 2025.
Several celebrities took aim at Rowling for celebrating anti-trans legislation. SNL cast member Bowen Yang shared an Instagram Story of himself flipping the middle finger to the camera and noting that it was meant for Rowling while Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan wrote, "Keep your new Harry Potter lads. Rowling shared a graphic explaining International Asexuality Day on April 6, 2025, immediately mocking the concept of asexuality. "Happy International Fake Oppression Day to everyone who wants complete strangers to know they don't fancy a shag," she wrote via X.

In the wake of Rowling’s controversial comments, several Potter stars, including Hermione Granger and Harry Potter actors Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe, have spoken out in support of trans rights. Rowling implied that she was not happy with them.
“Just waiting for Dan and Emma to give you a very public apology ... safe in the knowledge that you will forgive them,” one commenter wrote via X in April 2024.
Rowling replied, “Not safe, I’m afraid. Celebs who cosied up to a movement intent on eroding women’s hard-won rights and who used their platforms to cheer on the transitioning of minors can save their apologies for traumatised detransitioners and vulnerable women reliant on single sex spaces.”

Amid the news that HBO is rebooting Harry Potter as a TV show, many fans declared they would boycott the series in light of Rowling's anti-trans views.
"Dreadful news, which I feel duty bound to share," Rowling wrote via Twitter in April 2023. "Activists in my mentions are trying to organise yet another boycott of my work, this time of the Harry Potter TV show. As forewarned is forearmed, I've taken the precaution of laying in a large stock of champagne.

Rowling did not appear in the Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts special that dropped on Max in January 2022. She claimed she did not want to participate in the reunion with the cast.
“I wasn’t [excluded], actually — I was asked to be on that, and I decided I didn’t want to do it,” she said during an August 2022 Virgin Radio interview. “I thought it was about the films more than the books, you know? Quite rightly, as that is what the anniversary was about, so no one said, ‘Don’t come.’”

The Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle removed any mention of Rowling from its Harry Potter displays in August 2023 due to her anti-transgender comments. “Her transphobic viewpoints are front and center these days, but we can’t forget all the other ways that she’s problematic: the support of antisemitic creators, the racial stereotypes that she used while creating characters, the incredibly white wizarding world, the fat shaming, the lack of LGBTQIA+ representation, the super-chill outlook on the bigotry and othering of those that don’t fit into the standard wizarding world, and so much more,” project manager Chris Moore explained of the decision in a March 2023 statement via the museum’s website.
Rowling did not publicly respond at the time.

In December 2021, as the first trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore premiered, Rowling was heavily criticized for another anti-trans social media post regarding a report that the Scottish police would begin to "record rapes by offenders with male genitalia as being committed by a woman if the attacker 'identifies as a female.'" At the time, she tweeted, "War is Peace. Freedom is Slavery. Ignorance is Strength. The Penised Individual Who Raped You Is a Woman."
Though she received some support, many Twitter users fought back, wondering why Rowling continued to put her controversial viewpoints on such a public platform. "You literally have a castle and you spend your time doing this," one person replied, as another wondered, "Why is this how you want to be remembered? Why is this the hill you've chosen? What do you stand to gain from this?"

In August 2020, the author returned an award from the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights organization after its president, Kerry Kennedy, publicly denounced her comments about members of the trans community. "Because of the very serious conflict of views between myself and RFKHR, I feel I have no option but to return the Ripple of Hope Award bestowed upon me last year," Rowling wrote in a statement on her website. "I am deeply saddened that RFKHR has felt compelled to adopt this stance, but no award or honour, no matter my admiration for the person for whom it was named, means so much to me that I would forfeit the right to follow the dictates of my own conscience." Despite facing widespread criticism for her remarks, Rowling insisted that she doesn't "hate trans people or wish them ill" and is not "responsible for harm to trans people."

The screenwriter came out as a "domestic abuse and sexual assault survivor" in the wake of her initial anti-transgender controversy. Rowling said that she made the remarks as "memories of a serious sexual assault I suffered in my twenties recurred on a loop."
She explained, "That assault happened at a time and in a space where I was vulnerable, and a man capitalized on an opportunity. I couldn't shut out those memories and I was finding it hard to contain my anger and disappointment about the way I believe my government is playing fast and loose with women and girls' safety."

The Harry Potter creator publicly supported British researcher Maya Forstater — who was fired after making transphobic comments — in 2019. Rowling posted a series of controversial tweets in 2020 writing, “’People who menstruate.’ I’m sure there used to be a word for those people. Someone help me out. Wumben? Wimpund? Woomud?"
She continued: "If sex isn't real, the lived reality of women globally is erased. I know and love trans people, but erasing the concept of sex removes the ability of many to meaningfully discuss their lives. It isn't hate to speak the truth."
Rowling defended her opinions in a lengthy essay after being labeled a "TERF," which stands for Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminist. "It isn’t enough for women to be trans allies," she wrote. "Women must accept and admit that there is no material difference between trans women and themselves. But, as many women have said before me, ‘woman’ is not a costume. ...  The ‘inclusive’ language that calls female people ‘menstruators’ and ‘people with vulvas’ strikes many women as dehumanising and demeaning. I understand why trans activists consider this language to be appropriate and kind, but for those of us who’ve had degrading slurs spat at us by violent men, it’s not neutral, it’s hostile and alienating."

Rowling weathered backlash in 2017 when she said she was "genuinely happy" about Depp's casting as Grindelwald despite allegations of domestic violence by his ex-wife Amber Heard, which he has since denied.

The author penned a fictional essay on Native American wizards between the 14th and 17th centuries in North America for Pottermore in 2016. Rowling referenced the Navajo legend of the skin-walker, which she said “has its basis in fact."
One Twitter user wrote, "You can't just claim and take a living tradition of a marginalized people. That's straight up colonialism/appropriation."
Another fan added, "Imagine how many Native Americans are going to be gaslit about their own culture under the guise "well in canon it's actually like this...'"

Rowling came under fire in 2015 after she gave her approval for a Black actress to play the character of Hermione Granger in the London play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
"Canon: brown eyes, frizzy hair and very clever. White skin was never specified. Rowling loves black Hermione," she tweeted after the production announced the casting of award-winning actress Noma Dumezweni.
Rowling told The Observer in 2016, "I had a bunch of racists telling me that because Hermione 'turned white' — that is, lost (color) from her face after a shock — that she must be a white woman, which I have a great deal of difficulty with. But I decided not to get too agitated about it and simply state quite firmly that Hermione can be a black woman with my absolute blessing and enthusiasm."

Rowling confirmed in 2007 that Dumbledore is gay and once had romantic feelings for his friend Grindewald. The author later hinted that the Hogwarts headmaster's relationship would be depicted in the Fantastic Beasts franchise. “You will see Dumbledore as a younger man and quite a troubled man — he wasn’t always the sage," she told Time in 2016. "We’ll see him at that formative period of his life. As far as his sexuality is concerned … Watch this space.”
Though the romance was not directly addressed in the movie, Rowling insisted in the film's DVD commentary that the wizards had a "sexual dimension" to their relationship.
“I’m less interested in the sexual side — though I believe there is a sexual dimension to this relationship — than I am in the sense of the emotions they felt for each other, which ultimately is the most fascinating thing about all human relationships,” she said.
However, the series' director David Yates told Entertainment Weekly in January 2018 that the movie would “not explicitly” make it clear that Dumbledore is gay. After fans expressed their disappointment, Rowling addressed the uproar tweeting that Crimes of Grindelwald is only “part of a five-movie series.”
No plans for further Fantastic Beasts movies were announced after the disappointing box office performance of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore in 2022.

Rowling made headlines in 2006 when she said she critized people's preoccupation with being thin.
"I mean, is ‘fat’ really the worst thing a human being can be?" she wrote in an op-ed for The Times. "Is ‘fat’ worse than ‘vindictive’, ‘jealous’, ‘shallow’, ‘vain’, ‘boring’ or ‘cruel’? Not to me; but then, you might retort, what do I know about the pressure to be skinny? I’m not in the business of being judged on my looks, what with being a writer and earning my living by using my brain."

Kevin Costner's Daughter Annie Recalls 'Battling Some Mid-Life Demons'

18 April 2025 at 18:21

Kevin Costner’s daughter Annie Cox shared how her past struggles led her to take a leap of faith.

Cox shared a candid post via her Instagram on Thursday, April 17, and reflected on how she had been “battling some mid-life demons” in recent years as well as how it motivated her to visit France.

“Last year when I turned 40 I decided to go to Paris. I had never been. It felt a little wrong in the moment actually. I wasn’t feeling my best, or very confident after having taken a couple years off to take care of our kids,” Cox, who is based in Santa Barbara, California wrote. “I was, in retrospect, battling some mid-life demons, but I knew I needed something. I’m thankful I trusted my gut and ‘took the trip’ because it was absolutely the spark to remind me who I was and am.”

Cox added that the trip was just the breath of fresh air she needed in her life, sharing how the Paris experience was also beneficial once she returned home.

Kevin Costner’s Blended Family: Meet His 7 Kids

“I jumped into work as soon as I got back and this last year just burst wide open for me. Everything unfolded as it should have,” she wrote. “Today I’m 41 and more confident than ever that life is unfolding as it’s meant to. Convenient I guess when your gut tells you to go to Paris and drink wine all day and look at art and get a tattoo. But who am I to argue 🤷🏻‍♀️🍷 🖼 🎂

The real estate agent, who is the daughter of Costner and his first wife, Cindy Silva, shared a series of images from her vacation alongside the pithy caption. The carousel included photos of herself posing in the streets of Paris and one of herself getting a tattoo.

Cox shares two kids with her husband Dr. Danny Cox, who she married in 2016 at her father’s private estate in Carpinteria, California.

Prior to swapping the bright lights of Hollywood for her real estate career in Santa Barbara, Cox made appearances in several of her dad’s films: Dances with Wolves, Waterworld and The Postman.

As well as Cox, Costner shares two other children with Silva: daughter Lily, 38, and son Joe, 37.

After splitting from Silva in 1994, Costner moved on with Bridget Rooney and they welcomed son, Liam, 28, in 1996.

Costner, who has seven children in total, continued adding to his blended family with his next partner, Christine Baumgartner. The actor and the handbag designer share sons Cayden Wyatt, 17 and Hayes Logan, 16, as well as daughter Grace Avery, 14.

Comedian John Mulaney’s Sweet Quotes About Fatherhood

18 April 2025 at 18:04

John Mulaney was vocal about not wanting to have kids before welcoming his first child with Olivia Munn.

However, when Mulaney confirmed that Munn was pregnant in September 2021, he revealed how important becoming a father was to him.

“In the spring I went to Los Angeles and met and started to date a wonderful woman named Olivia,” Mulaney shared on Late Night With Seth Meyers at the time. “And we’re having a baby together. I was nervous when I was about to say the news! Olivia and this baby have helped save me from myself in this early journey out of recovery [from my drug addiction].”

Mulaney, who got sober in 2020 following a relapse, welcomed son Malcolm Hiệp with Munn in November 2021. The couple quietly tied the knot in summer 2024 before revealing that September that their daughter, Méi June, was born via surrogate.

When hosting Saturday Night Live for the fifth time in February 2022, Mulaney made clear that he was psyched to be a father.
“For many, many reasons, I’m grateful to be here tonight after a very complicated year. It is wonderful to be in a place that’s always emphasized sobriety and mental health,” Mulaney joked in his monologue. “Since I last hosted, different things have happened. Life is a lot better and happier now. I have a 12-week-old son. I’m very excited, he is a pretty cool guy for someone who can’t vote. His legs are like little calzones, and I want to eat him.”

Mulaney revealed that he’s “fascinated” by how Malcolm “sees the world” during an appearance on the “Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend” podcast in May 2022.
“You know when you watch a movie with someone who hasn’t seen the movie before? That’s what it feels like with Malcolm,” he gushed. “Like, when I’m out with him, I’m like, ‘Oh, the world’s great,’ because I’m seeing it sort of through his eyes. And he’s looking up at, like, trees and s–t? Malcolm will lay on his back in the yard and just like kick his arms and legs squealing because he sees trees in the sky. And I never cared about any of that s–t. Outside stuff? Never cared.”

When Mulaney brought his stand-up comedy show on the road, Malcolm joined.
“Malcolm is a great, great roadie,” the comedian joked while appearing on Late Night With Seth Meyers in June 2022. “Malcolm loves being on tour. He loved Saratoga Springs. He loved the Westin in Buffalo. They had one of those fake fireplaces that's like glowing rocks. And he sat down and goes, 'This is what I'm talking about.' He was so mesmerized.”

In addition to gushing about his time with Malcolm, Mulaney has praised Munn for her role as their baby’s mom.
“Thank you for another year of laughing like dummies, parenting like teenagers and always looking for your glasses (they are in your lap),” he shared via Instagram Stories in July 2023. “Happy birthday my girl.”

© Courtesy of Olivia Munn/Instagram

When discussing his and Malcolm’s daily routine, Mulaney revealed that they get up at 4:50 a.m. every morning.
"He gets in bed, he wakes up at 4:50. I unzip him at 4:50, this happened two Wednesdays ago. He goes, 'Baseball!' Immediately I go, 'You wanna play?' He goes, 'Game.’ So I take him out, get him out of his sleepsack,” he shared on the “Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend” podcast in August 2023. “Now he and I are in the front yard, 5:10 a.m. In pajamas and jackets. And I take the ball and I put in on the tee.”
With Malcolm cheering him on — “Dada do it!” — Mulaney and his son hit the wiffle ball. "And we're just two morons at 5 in the morning, the floodlights, Ring camera lights are going off it's so early," he concluded.

“Méi June Mulaney came into the world September 14, 2024, the year of the dragon,” Mulaney announced via Instagram in September 2024. “We stole so much stuff from the hospital. I love my little girl so much.”
The following month, the comedian shared another photo with his daughter, calling their time together “bliss.”

“I’ve been great. My wife and I just welcomed a baby girl into our family,” Mulaney said while hosting Saturday Night Live in November 2024. “And a 2-year-old son.”
He then joked about who takes care of each child. “My wife takes care of the 5-week-old and I take the 2-year-old out. And that’s not fair,” Mulaney quipped. “That’s not an equal distribution of labor at all. Saying, ‘You have a 5-week-old, I’ll take a 2-year-old.’ That’s like saying, ‘I’ll transport this convict across state lines, you hold a potato.”

“It was like a tornado picked me up, head to toe, hip to hip. And I landed somewhere extremely lucky and nice, where I’m having the best time in life,” Mulaney told GQ in November 2024 of his status as a married man with two kids.

The stand-up detailed how much power Malcolm holds over him during a sit-down with GQ in November 2024. “I’ve always been good at working with and for unreasonable people — people that are just against logic and the rules of time and space,” Mulaney shared. “Malcolm sometimes feels like one of those bosses: ‘Why is your hair wet?? Make it dry!’ And I’m like, ‘That’s actually one of the more difficult things to do quickly!’”

© Ryan West/Netflix

During an April 2025 episode of his show, Everybody’s Live With John Mulaney, the comedian compared life with his toddler to working on Ellen DeGeneres’ former talk show.
“Having a 3-year-old is what I imagine working on Ellen’s show was like,” he joked. “Because people come over and they’re like, ‘How is it?’ And you’re, like, ‘Oh, it’s fine. You know, we have fun. There’s games. Some days are hard. But it’s fun, you know! We have dancing, you know. So if he starts dancing, you dance, but if he stops dancing, you f***ing stop dancing right away.’”

Biggest 'Vanderpump Rules' Feuds Ever — and Where the Relationships Stand

18 April 2025 at 17:58

Since Vanderpump Rules premiered on Bravo in 2013, viewers have had a front row seat to some of the biggest reality TV fights and feuds.

Kristen Doute and Tom Sandoval’s tumultuous relationship was a topic of discussion during the first two seasons. As the pair tried to work out their issues, rumors of infidelity spread on both sides. At the end of season 2, Kristen admitted that she cheated on Tom with his friend and coworker Jax Taylor.

Shortly after their split, Tom started dating his fellow SUR bartender Ariana Madix — which didn’t sit well with Kristen. At the time, the T-shirt designer accused her ex of cheating on her with Ariana before their breakup.

The tension between Kristen and Ariana later reached an all-time high when the former SUR waitress invited a woman who claimed she slept with Tom to Lisa Vanderpump‘s restaurant. Over the years, the duo eventually became friends while spending time in the same circle.

Kristen showed her allegiance to Ariana in March 2023 when she split from Tom amid his affair with costar Raquel Leviss.

“I stan Ariana. This is in real-time. I love you so much,” Kristen told her friend in an Instagram video hours after Us confirmed the shocking split. The two kissed and hugged. “I love you more than anything. You’re my girl,” Kristen told a teary-eyed Ariana.

After wrapping season 10, Charli declared in November 2022 that Scheana is “a f—king loser,” adding via TikTok Live that she doesn’t “f—king like anybody” on the show anymore. The “Scheananigans” podcast host seemingly responded during a podcast episode with Lala that same month
“Last season, certain people, who I don’t want to give attention to by naming, are just like, ‘I don’t get it. How could you be friends with her again? Is this going to affect our friendship?’ I’m like, 'No this is separate,'” Scheana said, hinting that Charli had issues with her making up with Lala.
“That person, that video. I was like, ‘I remember my first drink,’” Lala responded. “Put the bottle down, bitch. Ain’t a good look. I was like, 'You think that you’re spilling tea and being shady?' You actually are just needing to crawl back into a hole right now.”
Scheana added: “It’s also projection at its finest. I’m the loser? Really?”

The feud started between these two after Raquel hooked up with Katie’s ex husband Tom Schwartz and escalated on social media. The former beauty pageant contestant told Us at BravoCon 2022 that she was “not on the best terms” with Maloney.
Where They Stand Now: Their public feud only grew more tense once Us confirmed in March 2023 that Sandoval had also hooked up with Raquel. Katie not only sided with Ariana amid the drama, but also told followers "just you f—king wait" when a fan account shared their hope that she and Ariana would "burn it all down."

The bartender publicly slammed Stassi after revealing that he had been disinvited from her May 2022 wedding via email. “Honestly, if you can’t pick up the phone for a two-minute conversation and say, ‘Hey, do you really want to come?’ [If] you can’t do that and you BCC everybody, that’s messed up," Peter told Us exclusively in July 2022. "Stassi doesn’t really communicate with people … that I know of."
Where They Stand Now: The reality star added that the entire situation made it clear where he stands with Stassi following her June 2020 firing from the show. "You disinvited me. OK, I know where I stand with you as a friend," he said. "If you can’t pick up of the phone for a two-minute phone call, you know. It was a little upsetting. I was a little upset more when it was brought to the forefront, but now it’s like, eh."

The former costars faced a rift in their friendship after Stassi and Beau seemed to shade Jax and Brittany for missing their nuptials in June 2022. Brittany, for her part, later publicly apologized for the misunderstanding and explained that multiple reasons led to their absence. The Off With My Head author previously revealed that Jax discussed having plans at a golf tournament on the same day as the Rome wedding — not knowing that her husband was in the same group chat as him. Where They Stand Now: The foursome have not publicly mended their issues amid the drama. Eagle-eyed followers noticed that Stassi and Jax are not following each other. Beau and Taylor have also cut social media ties. Stassi and Brittany, however, are still keeping up with each other on Instagram.

Stassi and Kristen were friends before cameras started rolling in 2013, but things quickly took a turn. During season 2, Stassi accused Kristen of sleeping with her ex-boyfriend Jax, which later turned out to be true. At the time, Stassi slapped her former friend after learning about what happened.
Where They Stand Now: The Next Level Basic author ended her friendship with her former coworker — only for them to reconcile while filming season 4. The duo later faced more ups and downs when Stassi and Katie Maloney grew frustrated with Kristen's approach to her love life.
In June 2020, Stassi and Kristen were fired from Vanderpump Rules due to past racially insensitive comments toward costar Faith Stowers. They didn't return for season 9 but have seemingly reconnected off screen.

Jax and Tom's friendship took its first hit when Kristen admitted to cheating on her boyfriend with his best friend. The former SUR bartenders mended their bromance, only to continue having issues throughout the reality series.
They decided to take a break from one another at the end of season 8.
Where They Stand Now: During season 8, which aired in 2020, Jax expressed his frustration with Tom for not being supportive enough of his wedding to Brittany Cartwright. Things got worse when Tom and Ariana questioned Jax and Brittany's pastor, whose past homophobic comments resurfaced. Nothing was resolved during the season 8 reunion, and Jax later announced his and Brittany's departures from the show.
Ariana and Tom later confirmed that they cut all ties with the Michigan native.

Jax's feud with James started when they were both trying to pursue Lala Kent. James ended up having a short fling with the Utah native, and Jax moved in with Brittany. The men kept fighting until they briefly formed a friendship during season 6 in 2018.
Where They Stand Now: Jax was furious with James when the DJ rapped about the former bartender's hookup with Faith. Jax refused to let James join any group activities while they filmed season 7. They never reached a complete understanding prior to Jax's exit from the series and haven't stayed in contact since.

Katie and Lala were once unable to get on the same page when the Row actress began working at SUR. The former hostess felt judged by Katie as she was trying to join the friend group, which resulted in insults being thrown both ways.
Where They Stand Now: The duo worked out their issues and continue to be close friends.

While in a relationship with Tom, Kristen accused him of cheating on her with Ariana. After their split, Kristen claimed that Tom was unfaithful to Ariana during a trip to Miami. She invited the alleged girl to SUR and caused a scene, which forced Ariana and Tom to leave the restaurant. Kristen was fired by Lisa after the incident, and she continued to be at odds with her ex and his girlfriend.
Where They Stand Now: Kristen and Ariana became friends as they continued to film Vanderpump Rules together. The former Bravo personality later expressed her frustration that the pair's reconciliation didn't make it to the screen. Kristen and Sandoval have also stayed on decent terms while hanging out in their joint friend group. In March 2023, Kristen proved that she had Ariana's back amid her split from Sandoval, sharing a heartfelt video embracing her friend and captioning another video, “Karma is indeed coming. So Raquel should just move home.”

When Lala joined the show in 2015, Ariana was quick to welcome the newcomer to the group. Lala and Ariana continued to have a steady friendship through the years. Ahead of season 9, which debuted in 2021, the beauty mogul questioned Ariana's support for her, and viewers saw cracks in their friendship on screen.
Where They Stand Now: Both Lala and Ariana have expressed frustrations with each other. Even though they seemingly worked out their issues after season 9, their bond may not have fully recovered. After Lala told Andy Cohen on a 2023 episode of Watch What Happens Live that they needed to get Ariana "out" of her relationship with Tom, the restauranteur exclusively told Us in February 2023 that the "Give Em Lala" podcast host was a "bully." Weeks later, she called him out via social media when his affair with Leviss came to light and repeatedly slammed him on the platform.

The former coworkers struggled to see eye to eye ever since Scheana joined the staff of SUR in season 1. Stassi and Scheana have had bonding moments and frequently filming together in later seasons of Vanderpump Rules.
Where They Stand Now: Stassi and Scheana never become super close, but they have spent more time together after they both became mothers. In January 2021, the Louisiana native welcomed her daughter, Hartford, with now-husband Beau Clark. Scheana, for her part, gave birth to daughter Summer in April 2021. She shares her little one with Brock Davies.

After Katie married Schwartz, her relationship with Sandoval started to crumble. Through the years, Katie has accused Sandoval of not giving her then-husband enough credit for their shared business ventures. Sandoval, for his part, has vocalized his issues with Katie getting involved in his professional projects with Schwartz.
Where They Stand Now: During season 9, Katie and Sandoval had several arguments, which forced Schwartz to hit pause on the pair's friendship. Though Sandoval and Schwartz worked things out, Katie was still not thrilled while filming the reunion, which aired in early 2022.
At the time, the Utah native called out Sandoval for not participating as much as he says he does in his restaurant plans with Schwartz.

Sandoval and Raquel's exposed affair — which Us confirmed in March 2023 — not only led to his split from Ariana after nine years together, but also nearly the entire VPR cast siding against the TomTom co-owner and Raquel and calling them out via social media. “Hey, I fully understand and deserve ur anger & disappointment towards me, but please leave [Tom] Schwartz, my friends and family out of this situation," Sandoval wrote via social media in response to the heated reaction from fans. "Schwartz specifically only found out about this very recently, and most definitely did not condone my actions. This was a very personal thing." Ariana, for her part, spent time with castmates Katie, Scheana and Kristen amid the drama with Sandoval, singing along to Tove Lo's "Cool Girl" hours after their split in a video Scheana shared via Instagram. "I roll my eyes at you boy," she belted at the concert, rolling her eyes at the camera.

Blue Origin's Fashion and Beauty Collabs Won Big By Going to Space

18 April 2025 at 17:47

What does one wear to space? If you’re the first all-female flight crew, like that of Blue Origin, the dress code calls for custom designer suits by Monse and gravity-defying $10 makeup setting spray.

Monse’s cofounders, Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim, created the bespoke astronaut outfits for the star-studded lineup, which included pop star Katy Perry, broadcast journalist Gayle King, entrepreneur and activist Amanda Nguyen, aerospace engineer and former NASA scientist Aisha Bowe, film producer Kerianne Flynn and more.

Blue Origin’s expedition lasted just over 10 minutes; however, no shortage of thought or time went into creating the latest crew’s high-fashion fits, which had been in the making since 2024.

According to Women’s Wear Daily, the Monse collaboration has earned the luxury brand a whopping $2.1 million in media impact value since the flight’s launch on Monday, per a new report from Launchmetrics. (MIV is a proprietary metric that assigns an actual monetary value to marketing strategies across print, online and social media to calculate return on investment.)

Katy Perry Kisses the Ground After Landing From Space

Crafted by Creative Character Engineering in ultra-comfortable and surprisingly chic flame-resistant stretch Neoprene (a major upgrade from polyester), the designs offered a modern silhouette that eschewed bulk for clean lines inspired by motocross and ski wear. The suits also achieved a perfect, couture-like fit, thanks to individual 3D body scans that allowed the space attire to be tailored to each passenger’s own personalized measurements.

Usually, astronaut suits are made for men, then tailored for women… or not, according to The New York Times, which pointed out that “an all-female spacewalk, planned in 2019, had to be canceled because NASA did not have two space suits that fit two women.” As a result, they sent one woman and one man instead.

In a pre-flight interview, the outfits prompted Perry to tell Elle that she and her mission-mates were going to “put the ‘ass’ in astronaut.” Nguyen, 33, perhaps anticipating those who might question the crew’s priorities, said that it was “so important for people to see us like that.”

When King, 70, tried hers on, she said she loved it. She thought the suits looked “professional and feminine at the same time.” Which, when it came to space, happened to be “something we had never seen before,” she shared with The New York Times.

Still, the crew made good on their commitment to arrive in full glam ahead of lift-off on Monday, April 14, at 9:30 a.m., and shared their looks on Instagram before the 11-minute voyage. All six women had blowouts for the flight and were dressed in said matching, skin-tight suits, which were cinched at the waist with slim zippers, ensuring they appeared flawless from every angle.

Above the neck, Perry’s look was admittedly more lo-fi. According to her makeup artist, Alexandra French, the “ET” singer wore a full face of L’Oréal Paris products as well as the brand’s Infallible 3-Second Setting Mist setting spray, which retails on Amazon for just over $10.

“Knowing the emotion of the day, we double set the makeup… and it truly held, from lift-off to landing,” French stated in a press release. Perhaps Perry’s “ET” lyrics, “feels like I am floating/leaves my body glowing,” had something to do with her admittedly otherworldly radiant appearance, as French also revealed that she used L’Oréal Paris’ celebrity-approved True Match Lumi Glotion in shade 902 to give Perry, 40, a “space glow.”

“We wanted to capture something soft, beautiful and timeless — because this moment will live on forever.” French added, explaining that Perry “envisioned a look that honored the strength and grace of women making history.” And who says you can’t look good at the same time?

Apparently, a lot of people, as the mission was blasted by social media users and A-list stars alike, including Emily Ratajkowski, Olivia Wilde, Amy Schumer and more, who didn’t mince words when it came to calling out the mission’s opulence and “misuse” of feminist language.

“That’s end time s***,” Ratajkowski, 33, said in a TikTok video. “Like, this is beyond parody.” She added, “I’m disgusted.” Wilde, 41, wrote, “Billion dollars bought some good memes, I guess,” via her Instagram Story.

Even the official Wendy’s account, which has a history of trolling, replied to a tweet announcing that Perry had returned from space, and wrote: “Can we send her back.”

Perry’s camp was less than thrilled, including one source “close to the situation” who told People in an exclusive interview published on Thursday, April 17: “Wendy’s didn’t make a joke — they made a choice. Their recent posts on X aimed at Katy Perry were not only disrespectful, but blatantly inappropriate,” the source said.

Gayle King 'Very Disappointed' by Criticism of Blue Origin Spaceflight

“This wasn’t harmless banter; this was a billion-dollar brand using its platform to publicly demean a woman.” Calling the move “irresponsible” and “hypocritical,” they continued, “Telling a woman that she should be ‘sent back’ is shameful bullying and reflects a troubling willingness to tear down in today’s society.”

In response, Wendy’s then issued a statement to People, “We always bring a little spice to our socials, but Wendy’s has a ton of respect for Katy Perry and her out-of-this-world talent.”

Post-flight, when a BBC reporter asked Perry how she felt about being “officially an astronaut,” she said the experience showed her “how much love you have to give and how loved you are.”

Shawn Ashmore Says Agents Would 'Flip a Coin' to Cast Him or Twin Aaron

18 April 2025 at 17:28

For Shawn Ashmore, he’s had to go against his twin brother, Aaron Ashmore, for roles throughout their careers.

“When we were doing commercials, they would call us back in after we both auditioned,” Shawn, 45, exclusively told Us Weekly ahead of the premiere of his new film, It Feeds. “And [they] said, ‘We love you guys both. And so it’s fair, we’re gonna flip a coin so that you guys can see it’s not preferential treatment.’”

Shawn confessed that the toss-up was not just a one-time circumstance.

“That happened four or five times where they’d say, ‘Hey, come on, come in, we’re gonna hire one of you. But so that the other one doesn’t get their feelings hurt or they don’t think it’s personal, we’re gonna flip a coin in front of you guys.’”

While having a job determined by luck isn’t ideal, Shawn confessed that the method actually helped him and Aaron, 45, handle the rejection.

“That was a really good thing for us to learn that it wasn’t like one person was getting chosen over the other,” he admitted. “It was like, ‘We like you both. We can only hire one. Let’s flip a coin.’”

Shawn and Aaron got their start as kids in Toronto working on various commercials. Their first gig came when they were approached by a casting agent for a toy commercial — which was ideal at the time.

“That sounds great. We just have to come in and play with toys,” he recalled. “We both auditioned.”

Aaron ultimately booked the role but ended up coming down with the flu — which worked out in Shawn’s favor.

“My mom brought both of us to set and my mom was like, ‘You cast him, but he is sick as a dog. So I brought his twin brother.’ And they were like, ‘OK, I guess we’ll take the one that’s not sick,’” he reflected. “So I have to thank Aaron for my big break because if he hadn’t booked that commercial, we might not still be doing this.”

Since that commercial, Shawn has gone on to star on multiple TV series including The Rookie, The Following, The Boys and more. Currently, he’s starring in the horror film It Feeds alongside Ashley Greene. Shawn plays Randall Harris who is the father of daughter Riley who has been possessed. While trying to save his child, Randall takes extreme and violent measures to save her life. When getting into character, Shawn confessed he “never looked at Randall as a villain.”

“If we were watching this movie through Randall’s perspective, he would be the hero. In a way, he’s making horrible choices, right? But I understood the bad choices he was making,” he told Us. “Because he is in an impossible situation. He’s just watched his wife wither away from a circumstance that he has cannot understand as he starts to grasp what this thing is, his daughter is at risk, and he is at risk of losing his daughter.”

While working on the movie, Shawn actually got to spend some quality time with his brother who lived nearby.

“I opted to stay with my brother while we shot the film,” he said. “So when I came home from shooting these very intense scenes, I got to hang out with my nieces, I got to hang out with my brother.”

It Feeds is now in theaters and available on demand.

18 April 2025 at 17:20

90 Day Fiancé star Jasmine Pineda underwent emergency surgery one month after welcoming baby No. 3.

“I had an emergency surgery [on] one of my [teeth,]” Pineda, 38, wrote via her Instagram Story on Friday, April 18. “My gums got so messed up during pregnancy, it caused some issues.”

Pineda included a photo of her face which was bruised on one side. In a subsequent slide, she opened up more about her condition.

“I called [partner] Matt [Branistareanu] basically yelling out pain. He came home — found me an endodontist and set up an appointment,” she wrote. “He stayed home taking care of [daughter Matilda] while I went to have surgery.”

Pineda shared that following the procedure she’s been focused on resting and expressed her gratitude for Branistareanu.

“I’ve been sleeping the whole afternoon till now! You’re the best Matt,” she continued. “ I appreciate you so much.”

Pineda’s emergency surgery occurred less than one month after she gave birth to her first child with Branistareanu. The couple welcomed Matilda in March and announced their newborn’s arrival earlier this month.

“Introducing Matty, our sweet baby girl! She’s already filling our hearts with so much love and joy. We’re beyond grateful for this new chapter in our lives,” the couple said in a statement shared via the TLC official website.

In addition to Matilda, Pineda has two sons, Juance and JC, who she welcomed during a previous relationship.

Fans best known Pineda for her relationship with ex Gino Palazzolo which was documented on 90 Day: The Last Resort. During season 2, viewers met Branistareanu for the first time as Pineda and Palazzolo were facing intimacy issues in their marriage. Pineda suggested that they expand their marriage by entering an open relationship. Palazzolo was hesitant to the arrangement but was considering the idea in order to save his marriage.

At the tell-all, which aired in January, Palazzolo announced that he and Pineda had ultimately separated.

“Normally I come in here and I have good news for you, but today I don’t. Because Jasmine and I, we separated,” he told host Shaun Robinson during the episode.

Why King Charles III’s Sandringham Home Has Upgraded Security

18 April 2025 at 17:02

King Charles III can sleep soundly after new no-fly restrictions were approved for his Sandringham estate.

The royal family’s security services requested new restrictions on March 4, according to The Sun after drones were reportedly seen flying over the estate. The drones were reportedly traced back to a man sitting in a nearby car.

Britain’s Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander signed off on the order on March 10, according to Hello!. The new guidelines restrict aircraft from flying below 2,000 feet at Sandringham, which is Charles, 76, and wife Queen Consort Camilla’s country home that boasts 20,000 acres.

The restrictions are in place “for reasons of public safety and security,” per the outlet, which reported that the order states: “These Regulations impose restrictions on flying in the vicinity of Sandringham House, Norfolk.”

Royal air travel, visitors’ planes and police and emergency service planes are exempt from the order.

The order concluded: “In view of the need for security for members of the Royal Family and other dignitaries staying at or visiting Sandringham House and at the request of the security services, it has been agreed by the Civil Aviation Authority and the Department for Transport that flying should be restricted in the vicinity of that location for reasons of public safety and security.”

The new flying rules were ordered just days after Charles hosted Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky at the estate amid Ukraine’s ongoing war with Russia.

“I’m very grateful for this meeting and for how His Majesty helps Ukraine and supports us,” Zelensky, 47, told reporters after the March 2 meeting per Hello!. “He’s met our warriors here, being trained in the U.K., and we’re very thankful to the Royal Family for their support.”

The change in security also comes less than one month after Charles was admitted to the hospital amid his ongoing cancer treatment. Buckingham Palace confirmed on March 27 that the king was taken to the hospital after a reaction to his treatment for an undisclosed type of cancer, which he announced to the public in February 2024.

“The King experienced temporary side effects that required a short period of observation in hospital,” the statement read. “His Majesty’s afternoon engagements were, therefore, postponed.” The palace later revealed that Charles was set to return to his “usual working week” on April 1.

King Charles III Departs London After Surprising Hospital Stay

Earlier this month, Camilla, 77, told U.K. journalists covering the couple’s visit to Italy that her husband is fulfilled by his job despite his health ups and downs.

“I think he loves his work, and it keeps him going,” she said on April 13 according to Hello!. “And I think it’s wonderful, you know, if you’ve been ill and you are recovering, you’re getting better and now he wants to do more and more and more. That’s the problem. That’s what he’s driven by. Helping others.”

Dylan Efron Recalls Saving 2 Women From Drowning: I ‘Sprinted Out There’

18 April 2025 at 16:49

Zac Efron starred in the Baywatch movie, but his brother, Dylan Efron, was the one who found himself as a lifeguard while on vacation in Miami.

“It was really random,” Dylan, 33, recalled of the incident during the Thursday, April 17, episode of the “Brooke and Connor Make a Podcast.”

During a visit to South Beach on April 5, Dylan and his friend Brennan spotted people “screaming” in the water moments after they walked onto the sand. “The currents were ripping,” he recalled.

The Traitors winner said there were five girls with their “hands up screaming” and when he scanned the beach there were “no lifeguards around.” That’s when Dylan and Brennan jumped into action.

How Dylan Efron Feels About Being Compared to Older Brother Zac Efron

“We just sprinted out there. There were two closest to us that already had a guy helping them in,” Dylan remembered. “There were three out further, so I swam one in and swam back for another girl.”

He reiterated how strong the current was in the area, saying, “From where we jumped in, we ended up, like, a football field length away.”

The reality star, who swam in college, noted it was “really real” and left the second girl he saved stunned.

Zac Efron’s Family Guide: Meet Brother Dylan, Sister Olivia and More

“The last girl I swam in, I was just trying to calm her down and just saying, ‘Breath, breath,'” Dylan said. “She just wraps me in the biggest hug and doesn’t want to let go. We hugged for like a full minute. I’m like, ‘You’re safe, you’re good.'”

After she left go, he said he “just walked away.” While Dylan’s save made its way to social media, he insisted he’s not a hero.

“I feel like I did what most people would have done in that situation,” Dylan concluded.

Dylan is the younger brother of Zac, 37, but unlike his actor brother, he stayed out of the spotlight until he graduated from California Polytechnic State University in 2013. Dylan went on to work in Hollywood as a production coordinator and production assistant.

'Traitors' Stars Question If Dylan's Brother Zac Efron Is a 'Good Actor'

He joined forces with Zac in 2020 to produce his sibling’s Down to Earth With Zac Efron series, which documented the actor’s journeys around the world. Both Dylan and Zac are fans of the great outdoors and frequently share the travels with their fans — including surf sessions and more water activities.

Dylan gained even more fame earlier this year when he competed on season 3 of The Traitors. He was one of four joint winners for the season, which concluded in March.

That same month, Dylan’s latest documentary, The Fish That Saved a Village, premiered. “What started as a whispered legend led us deep into the jungle — just two friends, a camera, and a story we couldn’t ignore,” he wrote via social media, teasing the premise. “Hope you love it as much as we loved making it.”
