Rebecca Wisocky has been in her Ghosts era since the show’s 2021 premiere — but what TV series would she want to haunt if she was a spirit?

“I grew up loving The Carol Burnett Show,” Wisocky, 53, exclusively reveals in the latest issue of Us Weekly. “I would have to say The Carol Burnett Show, because in my mind, and of course it was imprinted on me at a time when I was just figuring out what funny was to me, watching [the late] Harvey Korman and Tim Conway break each other.”

The actress explains that the “sheer reckless silly joy” was “so palpable watching those Carol Burnett episodes,” which informed her pick. “I can’t imagine that that wouldn’t be an amazing place just to kind of hang out,” Wisocky says.

She teases that since The Carol Burnett Show was filmed on stage 33 at CBS Television City, as a ghost she’d be kept pretty busy floating from one soundstage to the next. Wisocky notes her spirit would have to visit “The $100,000 Pyramid and Press Your Luck, and then all kinds of crazy wackadoo game shows were there too.”

When it comes to Ghosts, which is in its fourth season, Wisocky says there are a lot of laughs to be had for viewers as well. The actress tells Us that she’s most excited for fans to discover what her character Hetty Woodstone’s power is — since she hasn’t had one yet.

“It was really juicy to play for a while [when I] thought that maybe Hetty might not have a power,” Wisocky told Us, noting that Hetty’s power comes to light during the Thursday, March 13, episode. “It is related to something else that we find out about her, which was a big shocker this year that she is in fact Irish.”

Where Does Her Power Rank?

“Hetty is very invested in where her power ranks,” Wisocky teases, revealing, “It is not something onerous or stinky like Isaac.”

She explains, “It could end up being very useful. It is surprising and shocking and opens up a new relationship for Hetty. It opens up a new kind of portal into the living world. But of course, it comes with its restrictions and [a] shortcoming.”

The TV star adds that when Hetty receives her power in the “St. Hetty’s Day” episode she “thinks it’s at the top” of the list ranking wise. “At the end of the day, not so much,” Wisocky says.

What Is Hetty’s Reaction to Gaining Her Power?

“She’s shocked and excited and feels that it opens up a whole new world of possibilities for her,” she dishes. “It’s also kind of humbling and sweet.”

How Many Blue Dresses Does Hetty Go Through?

Throughout the series, Hetty wears an iconic blue dress that signifies her life in the late 1800s. Wisocky, however, says there isn’t just one blue gown on set.

“I have many different dresses,” she explains. “They’ve tweaked them and suddenly changed them in how they fit over the years and had to source and create new [ones] because there was a limited amount of that blue silk fabric, so they had to actually go and recreate it and then make new dresses from that fabric.”

She says, “I think maybe there’s like six now. And I have various different corsets, depending on how tortured I wish to feel on any given day.”

What’s Her Favorite Part of Hetty’s Evolution?

“One of my favorite things that they’ve done with her and they’ve allowed me to do with her is she’s this wonderful juxtaposition between stick in the mud, uptight, ornery, and also incredibly childlike,” Wisocky shares. “I love those sides of her when she gets to be, you know, innocent and open and eager about discovering new things.”

She jokes, “Of course, she does so through this very odd lens from her own time period in her own, you know, life, it’s humorous and kind of adorable too. The way she gets it all wrong.”

Wisocky praises the character for approaching “many of these new things and challenges and concepts with both judgment and complete childlike abandon and that’s so much fun for me as an actor.”

How Does the Cast Bond Off Camera?

After working together for four years, Wisocky tells Us that the cast “really love each other” and that “chemistry” has grown thanks to their “closeness, that sense of comradery and being on the same team.”

The actors film in Montreal, so when they are on location Wisocky says they often “go out to dinner” or “hockey games, we go to concerts,” because “we’re stuck there.” She notes that when the group shoots over Thanksgiving week they celebrate the holiday together.

Their other activities include pickleball, dinners and playing boardgames. “Everyone was into pickleball this past year and that’s been really fun. Most of us play pickleball up there and we play Scrabble,” Wisocky reveals. “Brandon [Scott Jones] and I are super into Scrabble.”

She continues, “Some of us had taken French lessons together.” Wisocky says with a laugh, “It’s like summer camp, but it’s summer, fall, winter.”

17 Again star Sterling Knight is remembering the time he spent with his late movie sister, Michelle Trachtenberg, in the wake of her sudden death.

“Some quick thoughts. Thanks to everyone for the bday wishes, I ended up having emergency gallbladder removal surgery (would not recommend) but I’m healing up nicely. With the timing of that, and the passing of Michelle, who was so unbelievably kind to me, it made me think,” Knight, 36, wrote via Instagram on Friday, March 7. “Tomorrow is not guaranteed and it’s important to tell those close to you that you love them and appreciate them as often as possible.”

He added, “Michelle was generous, kind and beyond helpful to me as I navigated my first big movie. I had grown up watching her (as we all did) and she always had time for me if I had questions or was struggling.”

Knight and Trachtenberg, who died in February at the age of 39, played siblings Alex and Maggie in 2009’s 17 Again. The two former child stars portrayed the children of Matthew Perry and Leslie Mann’s respective characters. (Perry died at age 54 in October 2023.)

“I’ll never forget hanging out with Matthew and Michelle in her trailer, for hours, talking about life and work, lessons and wisdom they had picked up,” Knight said on Friday. “Bit of a combo update/gratitude post, but thanks again to everyone and I’m feeling much better. Miss you Michelle. Love y’all.”

Us Weekly confirmed Trachtenberg’s death last month.

“It is with great sadness to confirm that Michelle Trachtenberg has passed away,” her rep told Us in a statement on February 26. “The family requests privacy for their loss. There are no further details at this time.”

Trachtenberg — best known for roles in Harriet the Spy, Ice Princess, Gossip Girl and Buffy the Vampire Slayer — is survived by her parents, her sister and her boyfriend. (Trachtenberg started dating talent agent Jay Cohen in 2020.)

A cause of death has been ruled as “undetermined” after the actress’ family objected to an autopsy. Trachtenberg had initially been found unconscious by her mother, Lana, inside her New York City apartment.

EMS responded to the location and pronounced the victim deceased. Criminality is not suspected.”

Lady Gaga is on the mend following a lengthy and painful battle with fibromyalgia.

“It’s very under control. It took over my life for a long time, but I’m 95 percent better,” Gaga, 38, told The Sunday Times in a profile published on Sunday, March 9. “I still have pain days, but they are very rare. I feel lucky.”

She added,  “People do not always make it through the career and the success that I have had. They don’t always get to the other side, given how it can affect your mental health and body. But I did.”

The pop star revealed her diagnosis in her 2017 Netflix documentary, Gaga: Five Foot Two.

“She’s been trying everything to rid herself of pain,” the insider exclusively told Us Weekly in March 2018, adding that the pop star was undergoing various treatments including acupuncture and reiki healing. “It’s a very slow road to her getting better.”

Gaga’s health also forced her to end her Joanne World Tour early.

“Unfortunately, Lady Gaga is suffering from severe pain that has materially impacted her ability to perform live,” a February 2018 statement read. “As a result, Live Nation and Lady Gaga are announcing the cancellation of the final 10 dates of the European leg of her Joanne World Tour. Last night, with strong support from her medical team, Lady Gaga made the tough decision to immediately come off the road. She is extremely sorry and deeply saddened that she cannot perform for her European fans, who have waited so patiently.”

“It is a mental barrier I’ve had to overcome,” she told Stylist. “It’s completely in my head. It’s a myth I’ve told myself.” she explained before discussing how she has received “hundreds of messages” from fans. “People going, ‘Oh my god, you’ve got teeth like mine. Now I go to school and people think I’m cool because I look like Aimee.’ Instead of it being Bugs Bunny or whatever.”

Getting Support From an Unexpected Place

Wood credited Georgia May Jagger for allowing her to build more confidence.

“All of a sudden [after she became the face of Rimmel London in 2009] it went from me being goofy to, ‘Oh, you’re a bit of a model, aren’t you?’” Wood told Stylist. “So I want to thank Georgia May Jagger for representing the buck teeth.”

Concerns About Booking Roles

After skyrocketing to fame with The White Lotus, Wood explained why she didn’t expect to play an American on TV.

“It’s the teeth. Like, no Americans have my teeth,” she told On Demand Entertainment in February 2025. “They just don’t. I’d have to get veneers. Because I think that genuinely is like one of the things.”

She added: “[After I played an American in a play] a guy after in the bar was like … he was talking to me, and I spoke to him, and I spoke like this, and he went, ‘I knew it. I knew it.’ Because he was like, ‘Your accent was great, but I knew you weren’t American. You just don’t look American.'”

Wood reflected on her journey in the spotlight, saying in a March 2025 Instagram video, “[My mouth] was the thing that everyone pointed out and it was the thing that made me different. Rihanna shared personal photos from the births of her sons to celebrate International Women’s Day.

The singer, 37, posted two delivery room pictures on Saturday, March 8, in which she holds her newborn baby boys. “By far the most powerful thing I’ve ever done as a woman…my little miracles! #InternationalWomensDay,” she captioned the post via Instagram.

In the first picture, Rihanna — decked out in pearls and gold chain necklaces — poses with son RZA as he rests on her chest. In the second image, she looks at the camera through pink sunglasses as Riot Rose snuggles up beside her.

Rihanna shares RZA, 2, and Riot, 19 months, with her partner A$AP Rocky. The pair have been together since 2020.

Rihanna recently supported Rocky, 36, during the Los Angeles trial for an alleged 2021 shooting incident. He was initially charged with two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic weapon for allegedly firing shots at his childhood friend Terell Ephron in 2021 and faced up to 24 years behind bars. He was ultimately found not guilty in February and was seen leaping into Rihanna’s arms upon hearing the verdict.

Rocky told Us Weekly exclusively in December about how he and Rihanna continue to support each other.

“I think that when you’re in love with somebody, you have to sacrifice time for people and stuff like that — make time,” he gushed to Us at the 38th Annual Footwear Achievement Awards in NYC. “Some people are fortunate enough to make more time, and some people are fortunate enough to work together and travel together.”

James Kennedy has responded to recently sharing an image with controversial siblings Andrew and Tristan Tate.

“I regret posting a photo with the Tate brothers at an event last night,” Kennedy, 32, wrote via Instagram Stories on Saturday, March 8. “I was unfamiliar with their content and the allegations against them. I only knew them as podcasters [who] had posted a viral clip about Vanderpump.”

He continued, “I have since educated myself and condemn their beliefs. I am sorry to all that I offended.”

The Bravo star had performed at the LIV Las Vegas nightclub on Friday, March 7, during which he snapped a pic with the Tates. The photo has since been removed from Kennedy’s social media page. Neither of the brothers has publicly addressed meeting Kennedy.

Andrew, 38, and Tristan, 38, have faced multiple accusations of sexual assault and human trafficking charges in both Romania and the United Kingdom. The brothers have denied every allegation.

“We live in a democratic society where it’s innocent until proven guilty and I think my brother and I are largely misunderstood,” Andrew told reporters last month after he and his sibling flew into the United States. “There’s a lot of opinions about us, a lot of things that got around about us on the internet.”

He stressed, “We’ve yet to be convicted of any crime in our lives ever.”

The two former kickboxers remained in Romania since they were first arrested on rape and trafficking claims in December 2022. News broke earlier this month that the U.S. state of Florida also plans to open a criminal investigation into Andrew and Tristan’s alleged behavior.

Another Simple Favor director Paul Feig is debunking speculation about Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick’s joint appearance at SXSW.

A YouTuber claimed via X on Friday, March 7, that Lively, 37, and Kendrick, 39, were allegedly uncomfortable jointly attending the Austin, Texas premiere of Another Simple Favor.

“I just reported on Blake being terrified to walk the carpet as Anna is pissed and never wants to work with her again,” the social media user claimed on Friday.

Feig, 62, swiftly shut down the accusation, replying via X, “Um … you’re wrong.”

Lively and Kendrick costarred in Feig’s A Simple Favor, which came out in 2018. They recently filmed a sequel in Italy, debuting the first look during a Friday panel at SXSW.

After being asked what it was like to work with Lively, Kendrick coyly replied, “Oh, you know,” before trailing off and walking further down the carpet.

A source previously told Us Weekly that there was no bad blood between the women on the set of Another Simple Favor.

During the SXSW event, Lively further gushed about making both Simple Favor movies with Kendrick.

“It worked out, so I was like, ‘OK, no nerves. I know what I’m doing this time,’” Lively said on Friday of returning for the sequel. “Right before we started shooting, [Paul] said, ‘I have, like, a little bit of a curveball idea.’ I’m not going to say what it was because, you know, we don’t want to give away anything. But it definitely upped the ante. It was very uncomfortable to watch in this theater with you all. … But, yeah, it was fun. It’s always fun getting to work with Anna again, obviously, and this incredible group of people is amazing.”

Lively’s appearance at SXSW was her second major public outing since her lawsuit against It Ends With Us costar Justin Baldoni — following her attendance at the SNL 50 anniversary taping last month. News broke in December 2024 that Lively sued Baldoni, 41, for alleged sexual harassment and fostering a “hostile work environment” on the set of It Ends With Us, which he also directed. Baldoni denied the allegations, later naming Lively in a $400 million defamation suit. Lively denounced his accusations.

Luxembourg’s Prince Frederik has died at the age of 22 after battling a rare illness.

Prince Robert, first cousin of the Grand Duke of Luxembourg, announced the news of his son’s death via Instagram, as well as a blog post on The POLG Foundation’s website on Saturday, March 8.

Frederick, who was born with POLG Mitochondrial disease, died surrounded by his family, Robert wrote in the posts.

“It is with a very heavy heart that my wife and I would like to inform you of the passing of our son, The POLG Foundation Founder and Creative Director, Frederik,” Robert wrote on the POLG Foundation’s website.

“Last Friday, February 28th, on ‘Rare Disease Day’, our beloved son called us in to his room to speak to him for one last time. Robert’s post gave insight into his final conversations with Frederik, revealing that his son asked him: “Papa, are you proud of me?”

“He had barely been able to speak for several days, so the clarity of these words was as surprising as the weight of the moment was profound,” Robert wrote. “The answer was very easy, and he had heard it oh so many times…. but at this time, he needed reassurance that he had contributed all that he possibly could in his short and beautiful existence and that he could now finally move on.”

Robert went on to explain that Frederik was born with POLG Mitochondrial disease, “a rare genetic disorder that robs the body’s cells of energy, in turn causing progressive multiple organ dysfunction and failure,” according to Frederik’s website.

However, the young prince didn’t receive a diagnosis until the age of 14.

Frederik went on to create The POLG Foundation three years ago “to support and accelerate research to find effective treatments and a cure for PolG mitochondrial disorders,” the website states.

Long before AnnaSophia Robb kept Us guessing on NBC’s Grosse Pointe Garden Society, she stepped into Carrie Bradshaw’s oh-so-fashionable shoes.

From 2013 to 2014, The CW aired a two-season Sex in the City prequel chronicling Carrie’s high school years in Castlebury, Connecticut. The Carrie Diaries, inspired by Candace Bushnell’s SATC novels, was also adapted from a Young Adult novel in Bushnell’s franchise.

Robb’s Carrie was an aspiring writer, who finds an affinity for fashion and the Big Apple all while balancing school, family and romance with resident bad boy Sebastian Kydd (played by Austin Butler, long before Elvis fame).

“They told me that I got the part because I did a little chicken dance at the end of my audition after they asked me about my prom,” Robb told Teen Vogue in 2013. “I’ve got rhythm, but not the moves to go with it, and I guess they liked that I wasn’t afraid to be goofy.”

At the time, Robb was hesitant to even audition for the role.

“When I was younger, I didn’t want to be on TV, I wanted to play different kinds of roles and have the freedom to choose my projects,” Robb explained. “So when my agent called about this job, I said no way. TV was too much of a commitment. I realized it was actually a really strong story. It had a lot of heart and integrity, and Carrie seems like a character that I can grow with.”

Stepping onto the Manhattan-based set, Robb totally transformed into an ‘80s version of Carrie — bright colors, funky prints, major curls and all. Plus, who could forget her custom “Carrie” handbag? What Happened:

Following the success of HBO’s SATC (and two feature-length films) starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Bushnell wrote The Carrie Diaries and Summer in the City in 2010 and 2011, respectively. The two-book series took fans back to Carrie’s high school years.

On the CW show, Carrie’s crew was rounded out by friends Mouse (Ellen Wong), Maggie (Katie Findlay), Walt (Brendan Dooling), Donna (Chloe Bridges) and mentor Larissa (Freema Agyeman). Carrie’s father, Tom, was played by Matt Letscher opposite Stefania LaVie Owen as her younger sister, Dorrit.

In the pilot, Carrie was struggling to deal with her grief after the death of her mother, Grace. As a result, Tom and the school’s guidance counselor allowed Carrie to tackle an internship in NYC at a law firm. Carrie, however, found her own opportunity as an assistant at Interview magazine, which she took unbeknownst to her father.

By season 2, fans saw Carrie’s SATC bestie Samantha Jones arrive in town, brought to life by Lindsay Gort. In the season opener, Carrie and Samantha (who happens to be Donna’s older cousin) met by chance after Carrie was locked out of her NYC apartment during her summer in the Big Apple. The shenanigans soon led the pair to become roommates and eventually foster a tight-knit friendship.

Why It Was a Big Deal:

Considering SATC is one of the most famous TV dramedies, it’s no secret that there was a market to discover what Carrie was like (to quote the show opening) “before there was sex” and “before there was the city.”

“It feels surreal, and I don’t think I’ve quite processed it yet,” Robb told Elle in 2013 of taking over the mantle. “Carrie lives a dual life in the show, and I definitely felt that way in high school, balancing work and life as a student.”

Parker herself even approved of Robb’s casting.

“She sent me a letter! I wrote her one back, too,” Robb exclusively told Us Weekly in 2013 ahead of filming. “She was just very encouraging about it all. It was really cool! I know everyone’s going to compare it to Sex and the City, but we’re never going to be that. The show is more for my generation, but it’s set in the ’80s, so it’s fun.”

Later that year, Parker told Net-A-Porter’s The Edit that the prequel premise felt “odd.”

“You know, I think it’s one of those tests of your generosity,” Parker said. “[AnnaSophia] is a lovely girl and I want her to feel good about it, but it’s … odd.”

By the end of The Carrie Diaries, Carrie opted to forgo college to pursue a dream writing job as a journalist in a move that disappointed her dad. Episodes earlier, she found a specific penchant for writing about her real life (namely losing her virginity to Chris Wood’s Adam Weaver) that would eventually inspire the sex column and memoirs penned in SATC.

Parker, meanwhile, reprised her role of Carrie in 2021’s And Just Like That series on Max, which picked up post-pandemic and after the death of her husband, Mr. Big (Chris Noth). Robb has since moved on to star in NBC’s Grosse Pointe Garden Society, playing Alice.

Melissa Peterman got emotional discussing her onscreen reunion with Reba costar Christopher Rich following his massive stroke.

“When he had a stroke, it was really scary — and I think a lot of people didn’t know,” Peterman, 53, exclusively told Us Weekly, noting that she might “tear up a little” as she talks about Rich. “I think fans just thought that, ‘Oh, maybe he retired and maybe he decided to take a break.’ That wasn’t the case. He had a massive stroke and it was scary.”

Peterman recalled the initial months after the health scare, saying, “He put in so much hard work to get back to [himself even though], he was always Chris. I saw him in the hospital right away and Chris was there. He was cracking jokes immediately.”

Despite Rich’s progress, he’s still experiencing some side effects.

“His left side is still affected. But we wanted him to come back and he was ready to come back,” Peterman told Us. “It was really wonderful because I remember when I was on Reba, I was such a baby. It was my first series regular role and Chris was essentially my acting partner during that entire series.”

Peterman and Rich, 71, became household names when Reba aired from 2001 to 2007. The hit show followed a single mom who had to start over after her husband, Brock (Rich), left her for his dental hygienist, Barbra Jean (Peterman). Reba (Reba McEntire) attempted to start fresh while raising her three kids — including her pregnant teen daughter (JoAnna Garcia Swisher) and her boyfriend (Steve Howey).

“It was me and him and he was so kind to me,” Peterman continued. “He taught me so many things. He would even whisper things in my ear so I didn’t feel dumb not knowing. And he’s one of the smartest men I know. He’s such a good actor.”

McEntire, 69, and Peterman reunited two decades later as costars on NBC’s Happy’s Place, which paved the way for them to reunite with Rich and Howey as well. Rich’s episode in February held extra significance after he stepped away from acting for several years following a massive stroke.

“It’s hard for all of us if your body betrays you and yet you’re still there and you want to do it. It’s scary. But our whole team felt familiar for him and he felt safe to play. By the way, he crushed it,” Peterman gushed. “He was so funny.”

Peterman praised Rich for being “so brave,” adding, “When we had talked about other iterations of what we could do — if there was a Reba reboot — we’d have to address it because he physically can’t hide it. He was always so open about being really honest about it and being vulnerable.”

During Rich’s return to acting, Happy’s Place had him playing a tattoo artist who immediately caught Gabby’s (Peterman) eye. The episode even included a line where Gabby asked Maverick (Rich) whether he had a wife she could steal him away from.

“I liked that they let me call [Reba’s character Bobbie] Red at one point. That’s what I called her on the show,” Rich exclusively told Us about Brock’s reference to Reba on the hit sitcom. “Frequently, those little things are magnificent. And Reba [the show] has such a wonderful following that people will comment about it online. It was just so wonderful to work with those two women. They took such good care of me and they were very, very protective.”

While Reba fans await more cameo news, Peterman didn’t rule out more onscreen reunions.

“Scarlett [Pomers] as Kyra was just incredibly and comedically gifted. I know we would love to see JoAnna Garcia [Swisher] and I think she just saw Reba recently. So I hope Reba was like, ‘When you are available … ‘ It would be fun to have any and all Reba participants — whether they’re a cast member or a guest,” Peterman said. “It would be so much fun, and we would love to have all of them.”

Denise Richards was “scooping ice cream at Häagen-Dazs” when she got her big break.

Her first gig came following a model search for Esprit, in which she came in second place — but it got her an agent. After traveling the world as a professional model, Richards, 54, moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career.

“I started plugging away and working,” Richards shared exclusively in the latest issue of Us Weekly. “I got a lot of rejections, but when I would get the job, it was so worth [it] to keep going.”

Since then, Richards told Us that she’s “done just about every genre you can think of.” Now, she’s returning to reality TV with her new Bravo reality series, Denise Richards and Her Wild Things. Richards, along with her daughters Sami and Lola Sheen, are featured in the show, which premiered Tuesday, March 4. (Richards shares Sami, 20, and Lola, 19, with ex-husband Charlie Sheen.)

Modeling (1990s)

“A part of me was shy and private,” Richards explained. But the day after graduating high school, she flew to Japan with a modeling agency and stayed two months.

The actress called the sci-fi cult classic one of her “favorite memories,” but it was also her first starring role alongside Casper Van Dien and Jake Busey.

“We were all pretty much in the same place in our career, and a lot of us are still close,” she told Us. “We just had so much fun. We were all just new and excited and it was just one of the most fondest memories that I have working.”

‘Wild Things’ (1998)

Richards admitted she was “intimidated” by sharing the screen with Hollywood heavyweights like Neve Campbell, Matt Dillon and Kevin Bacon. (Yes, people “still” ask her to sign pictures of the pool kiss between herself and Campbell.)

“I was the unknown on set,” she recalled. “No one knew who the hell I was.”

‘The World Is Not Enough’ (1999)

The actress had not seen a James Bond film when she nabbed the role of Christmas Jones opposite Pierce Brosnan’s 007.

“I asked my agent, ‘Why is it on the news?’ He goes, ‘Because you’re a Bond girl,’” Richards recalled, telling Us it’s an “honor” to have been a part of the “magic.”

Playing a pageant queen in this flick allowed Richards a first-time experience.

“I got my first taste of very nice trailers!” she quipped, noting that costars Ellen Barkin and the late Kirstie Alley inspired her on set. “They just made it look so easy.”

‘Friends’ (2001)

As a fan, Richards couldn’t say yes fast enough when she was asked to guest star as Ross (David Schwimmer) and Monica’s (Courteney Cox) cousin Cassie — who was able to hypnotize in one slo-mo hair flip.

“I was so excited to work with them,” she recalled, noting that performing in front of the studio audience was a “scary” experience. “[The cast] could do this in their sleep. They were such a well-oiled machine and rehearsed so quickly.”

Marriage to Charlie Sheen (2002 to 2005)

Richards’ decision to pull the plug on her tumultuous union with Sheen while expecting their second baby didn’t just affect her personally.

“That was really hard for my career,” she admitted to Us. “A lot of people didn’t want to hire me.”

Despite their history, things between Richards and Sheen are “good,” she said. “That has been a roller-coaster of a journey, and he’s been one of my biggest teachers of learning a lot about myself actually.”

Covering ‘Playboy’ (2004)

Richards appeared on the cover of Playboy five months postpartum — which was an empowering moment for the star.

“I was definitely nervous doing it,” she said, “I thought, ‘You know what? It’s OK to still be sexy even though I’m a mom and I’m married.’ I still wanted to embrace me being a woman and do something really sexy.”

Your father Woody is a retired law enforcement officer. He said in the beginning of the show that you’re actually more outdoorsy than he is, so did you want to be the survivalist?

Yes, I wanted to be the survivalist. I spent my teenage years in the outdoors hunting, fishing, making fires, forts and pretty much anything else outdoors. Being comfortable in that environment definitely gives you the upper hand in this type of competition.

You’re a boat captain and you revealed on the show you’ve trapped and hunted animals. Are you best suited in HQ? Or out in the wild?

My first thought is that I would be better in the wild, but now that the competition has begun, I realized I’m better off in HQ. Receiving the best supplies with less experience is better than great experience but no good supplies, which makes it cool to have [my dad’s] support.

So far, do you still think you’d do better than your dad?

I can’t say I would be doing any better than my dad. At the end of the day, I know he is giving his all which is exactly what I would do.

Alliances and strategy are crucial in survival games. How do you strategize alliances? How difficult was it to strategize on the spot with your cousin Collin?

With competitions like this, you always have to have your head on a swivel, watching who you can and can’t trust. But me and Collin have that type of relationship where we can work together and make crucial decisions in the heat of the moment.

Who will we see you ally with coming up? Who are you wary of and have your eye out for?

Each day is different in HQ, so you’ll have to watch and see. But I know I can always count on Cousin Collin.

What did you think of Anthony being the first one extracted? Surprised? What was it like watching how he was acting from HQ?

It was tough watching Anthony yell at his parents. Knowing they were doing all they could to get him some of the best supplies. Considering his setup, I was surprised he was extracted this early in the competition.

How about Davina as the second survivalist extracted. Did you see that coming?

I think Davina did an amazing job out in the wild, especially considering her outdoors experience. She definitely lasted longer than I expected, respectfully.

What’s the hardest part of watching your loved one from HQ? Did you ever want to trade places?

The hardest part of watching my dad while in HQ was watching him struggle and not being able to help him. I remember the moment my dad got the bow drill and all I wanted to do was reach through the screen and do it for him. So frustrating! I wanted to trade places every single day.

It’s a game of survival. From what you’ve seen and experienced so far, what are your tips for surviving the wild? What have you learned to do and not to do?

If I had any tips for surviving in the wild it would be to prioritize water, shelter and fire. Acquiring those three things could be the difference between surviving or not. One main thing to do is to keep your clothes as dry as possible, including shoes. Trench foot in the woods makes for a bad day.

What have you learned from other survival reality shows before starring in one yourself? Do you have any favorites?

The biggest thing I’ve learned from watching other survival reality shows is not to drink the lake water! My favorite show is Man vs Wild. I’ve always looked up to Bear Grylls.

You star on a real survival show, but did anyone prepare you for surviving social media fame? Has it been a fun ride?

So far, it’s been a blast to interact with everyone and answer questions about the show. I didn’t have any preparation coming into this, but I’m looking forward to what’s to come.

Have there been any celebrity fans of the show you’ve been excited about or to hear from?

I’m super excited to know Stallone is involved with this production. He is a household name and is very well known which makes it cool to have his support.

“To be playing someone who does these terrible things is interesting because it does bring up a moral dilemma,” Bateman told The Hollywood Reporter in 2023 of Based on a True Story. “But I felt [that] it swung so big in such a comedic way that it kind of allowed for a lightness of touch and a sort of parody to it.”

We can all agree these characters’ actions are gruesome, deplorable and unethical, but fans are lusting over them nonetheless. (If you don’t believe Us, look up “Dexter Morgan edit” on TikTok — you’ll be scrolling for hours.)

“I call it the Bad Boy Syndrome,” criminologist Scott Bonn, PhD, who authored Why We Love Serial Killers: The Curious Appeal of the World’s Most Savage Murderers, told Us Weekly of the phenomenon, noting that murderers who are locked away in prison or fictional killers on screen provide a no-risk fantasy for viewers. “That attraction is not causing them the potential of physical harm because that individual is controlled. They’re behind bars or on TV. The fantasy in your mind is very different than Ted Bundy actually showing up at your door.”

Why True Crime Is Getting the Hollywood Treatment

Bonn, who noted that 75 to 80 percent of attendees at his national speaking tour on serial killers are women, warns viewers to take depictions of murderers with a grain of salt, calling them “popcorn entertainment.” He said the projects “[dilute] the real story by definition. It’s not reality, even though it’s based in truth, and it’s served up in a way as to provide mass appeal.”

He continued: “To the extent that you are portraying the perpetrator as someone who has some sort of redeeming qualities and even sex appeal, then I think you are potentially doing a disservice to the victims.”

Like any production, it makes sense that a good-looking actor would be cast as the leading man, regardless of the character’s moral compass. And it’s no wonder their fans would flock to see their latest work. But, Bonn reminds Us, by giving true-crime stories the Hollywood treatment, “you’ve lost some of the integrity of the case itself.”

So while we may get a thrill watching our favorite stars break bad, let’s remember this is all just part of storytelling — and the reaction they’re hoping for!

Selena Gomez is celebrating fiancé Benny Blanco’s birthday.

Gomez, 32, posted a series of photos of her and Blanco, 37, throughout their relationship via Instagram in honor of her fiancé’s birthday on Saturday, March 8. “I’m not sure what I did to deserve you but damn am I glad you were born.. happy birthday baby ,” the singer captioned her post.

Among the photos Gomez shared included several cute selfies of her and Blanco, some snaps from a skiing trip, as well as a picture from their date night at the 2025 Oscars on Sunday, March 2.

Several people flocked to Gomez’s comments to wish Blanco a happy birthday, including Gomez’s Emilia Pérez costar Zoe Saldaña, who wrote, “Happy birthday @itsbennyblanco . May the universe continue to bless you both always.”

Toni Collette knows how to surprise fans.

After being asked to film an intro video for a screening of her 1994 film Muriel’s Wedding at the Glasgow Film Festival, Collette, 52, decided to shock everyone and show up to the event in person.

“I was invited to make a wee intro video for a screening of Muriel’s Wedding at the Glasgow Film Festival tonight. Instead, I hopped on a train from London, and joined the dance!” Collette shared via Instagram on Friday, March 7, alongside a video of her dancing with fans to ABBA’s “Dancing Queen” on stage at the screening, as well as a black-and-white selfie with attendees.

“I had no idea how much love would be in that room,” Collette’s caption continued. “Love for Muriel. Love for the film. And love for me. It was outrageously fun, and quite moving. When I was twenty I had no idea how this story would resonate all these years later. Wow wow wow. Thank you for having me. I’m truly touched.”
