Ben Affleck says Tom Cruise “has nothing on me” when it comes to stunts — well, that is, if you count line dancing as a stunt.

While speaking to the crowd at SXSW on Saturday, March 8, Affleck revealed he spent “months and months” learning to line dance for The Accountant 2. “It was a stunt for me,” he joked. “Tom Cruise has nothing on me… in terms of line dancing.”

Affleck and the movie’s director Gavin O’Connor also revealed that a nude scene — that inevitably also involved line dancing — was ultimately cut from the movie. “There was a nude scene but we cut it. He practiced line dancing in front of the mirror,” O’Connor said before Affleck interjected, “It was a choice! I liked it!”

Affleck’s costar Jon Bernthal, also part of the panel, praised the actor’s work – line dancing and all.

“Ben’s a hero of mine. I admire him so much, because he’s equal parts beautiful person as he is a beautiful artist,” he said. “Making movies for me is usually knocking my head into a wall; I’m kind of hating myself. But this was very easy. It was very easy to work with him.”

In addition to his dancing skills, the actor has made headlines for his personal life. On March 5, a source close to Affleck and his ex-wife Jennifer Garner told Us exclusively that the pair, who divorced in 2015, are not rekindling their romance despite multiple photos of the pair appearing close and cozy.

The source described the rumors surrounding the exes as “ridiculous.” A second insider noted that Garner has been dating John Miller since 2018. “Everything is fine with John and Jen,” the insider told Us. “Those close to them haven’t heard of any issues.”

Where Affleck and Garner shine is as coparents of their three children: Violet, 19, Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 13. In August 2024, a separate insider told Us, “Ben and Jennifer are friends, and they have a great coparenting relationship” and the pair have a “mutual understanding that their kids come first.”

“There’s a deep level of trust and respect between them,” the source explained at the time, adding that Affleck and Garner’s past has helped him through his own ups and downs with ex-wife Jenifer Lopez.

When it comes to his kids, Affleck has always shown they’re the people who are the most important to him. He and his son Samuel were recently out at a sneaker convention on March 3, when Affleck experienced a very relatable parenting moment. Samuel spotted a pair of sneakers he liked — only to find out they cost between $6,000 and $8,000.

“That’s a lot of lawns you gotta’ mow there!” Affleck commented before he added, “You like those ‘cause they’re expensive.”

DDG has accused ex Halle Bailey of not allowing him to see their son Halo.

“[B]een fighting to see my son for months now…,” DDG, 27, wrote in a since-deleted post made via X on Friday, March 7, as reported by TMZ. “shout out to all the Dads who try their best to be there. this s— sucks.”

Us Weekly has reached out to reps for both DDG (real name Daryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.) and Bailey, 24, for comment.

DDG spoke about the situation on a livestream shortly after deleting his X post on Friday. “I really feel like I’m a f—ing nanny at this point,” he said, per TMZ. “The nanny has been able to have my son more than me. And I don’t even know the nanny name. Like, it’s just not fair bro. So I have to come on here and I gotta do this s—.”

Mohamed Hadid, proud dad of supermodels Gigi and Bella Hadid, is opening up about the advice he shared with his daughters as children.

“I just tell them to be safe and be confident,” Mohamed, 76, exclusively told Us Weekly on March 2, while attending Elton John’s star-studded Oscars viewing and after party.

“I think they have great mothers,” Mohamed continued. “All of my kids, so they have a really good background.”

Mohamed went on to explain that he wanted to discuss Gigi’s pregnancy, which was kept a secret for months, with his daughter before celebrating publicly.

“Let me digest it and talk to her first ‘cause I’m not sure if it’s real or not,” he explained. “If she is, I’ll be very happy just as long as the baby is healthy and she’s healthy. That same year, Mohamed shared a poem for his future grandchild on Instagram.

“Hello little grandchild, it is me, my heart as happy as can be,” the poem read. “I wish for you the sun & moon, I wish for you a happy time. Know that grandpa’s always near, to do anything, anything for you my dear.”

Gigi gave birth to her daughter, Khai, in September 2020. The model had an unmedicated home birth in an inflatable bath tub in her bedroom.

Mohamed went on to write, ‘When I heard you were on the way, I smiled and wiped a tear away. I cried the tear because I know, my heart would always belong to you.”

John Mulaney and his wife, Olivia Munn, both faced a startling new normal when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

“There’s this lifetime risk assessment test that is really the only reason her cancer was discovered,” Mulaney, 42, said on the Sunday, March 9, broadcast of CBS Sunday Morning. “Seeing so many women publicly and privately come to her that [say] they discovered how high their risk was from that, it’s astonishing.”

Munn, 44, revealed in March 2024 that she had been diagnosed with cancer one year earlier.

“In an effort to be proactive about my health, I took a genetic test that checks you for 90 different cancer genes. “I tested negative for all, including BRCA (the most well-known breast cancer gene). My sister Sara [Potts] had just tested negative as well,” Munn recalled via Instagram at the time. “We called each other and high-fived over the phone. That same winter I also had a normal mammogram.”

Two months later, despite the negative results, Munn was diagnosed with breast cancer and subsequently underwent four procedures, including a mastectomy and hysterectomy.

“I took out my uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries,” she told Vogue in May 2024. “Doing a full hysterectomy was a big decision to make, but it was the best decision for me because I needed to be present for my family.”

Munn and Mulaney, who tied the knot in 2024, are parents to son Malcolm, 3, and daughter Méi, 9 months. (They welcomed Méi via surrogate amid Munn’s breast cancer battle.)

“I had friends try to cheer me up by saying, ‘Malcolm’s not going to remember this. Don’t worry,’” Munn recalled to the outlet last year. “But I just kept thinking to myself, ‘I’m going to remember this, that I missed all these things.’ It’s his childhood, but it’s my motherhood, and I don’t want to miss any of these parts if I don’t have to.”

In addition to navigating his wife’s cancer diagnosis, Mulaney noted on Sunday that welcoming Malcolm and Méi also transformed his life.

“I’m in the world now that I’m a father. My head was my only home before that,” the comedian said. “When my son was born, the first thought I had was, ‘Oh, there you are.’ And when my daughter was born, I had this — not to sound ‘woo-woo’ or anything — but when she was born, I went, ‘Oh!’ My thought was like, ‘Oh, we’ve met before. I’ve collided with you some other time.’ So, it’s like these people came in that just, I don’t know, make me like the world a lot more.”

Luxembourg’s Prince Frederik starred in a short film which detailed his “devastating” experience with a rare disease prior to his death.

Frederik was born with PolG Mitochondrial disease, an incurable genetic disorder that causes organ dysfunction and failure. Frederik’s father, Prince Robert, announced his son’s death at the age of 22 via Instagram on Saturday, March 8.

“It is with a very heavy heart that my wife and I would like to inform you of the passing of our son, The POLG Foundation Founder and Creative Director, Frederik,” Robert wrote.

“Frederik knows that he is my Superhero, as he is to all of our family, and to so very many good friends and now in great part thanks to his POLG Foundation, to so very many people the world over,” he added.

“PolG is a mitochondrial disease destroying the energy-producing structures within human cells,” a written statement reads at the start of the film. “It is a devastating and rare genetic disorder potentially affecting entire families.”

The film opens with Frederik watching a compilation of videos from his childhood.

“When you’re a kid, you’ve got all these dreams, all these aspirations, these things you want to do. The possibilities are endless,” Frederik says in voice-over. “I’m not sure I understood all the consequences of PolG when I first got diagnosed. It’s more subtle, where slowly, the world is getting smaller and smaller.”

The film then turned to Emilia and Amelie, two siblings who were diagnosed with PolG. They lost their brother, Philip, to the same disease, in May 2023. He was 20.

“Even to this day, doctors aren’t familiar with PolG, and so it makes it really hard to get a proper diagnosis,” Carolyn Sue, a researcher at Neuroscience Research Australia, saYS in another part of the film.

The film ended with a powerful statement asking for donations.

“For these PolG kids, it’s already too late,” the statement said. “Today, there is no cure.”

“PolG research will save lives. Please donate,” it included, alongside a QR code for the foundation’s donation page.

Meghan Markle’s Netflix show has felt “forced and fake” from the beginning of its inception, says British chef Jameson Stocks.

Stocks, 41, recently claimed he was asked to consult on what he believed to be Markle’s show, With Love, Meghan, but turned down the offer as to not be “slammed” for his participation.

“I was asked last year by Netflix if I wanted to consult on a lifestyle program. They didn’t go into too much detail about who it was but I already kind of knew anyway,” Stocks told GB News, according to a video interview shared by the Daily Mail on Sunday, March 9. “I felt like even if she produced a really great program, which I was quite skeptical of, that I might get a little bit slammed for being a part of it.”

The Michelin-starred chef — whose website states he’s an executive producer of food shows and an Executive Chef consultant for numerous prominent companies — went on to say that he was worried about the possible public perception of the show, perhaps considering the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s exit from the royal family.

“I didn’t like the idea of me showing her how to do something and then it being forced and fake,” Stocks added of Meghan, 43, who married Prince Harry in 2018. (They share two children, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3.)

“I imagine Netflix would have had two or three consultants — a stylist for her clothes, to give her ideas for the food. If she is going to do something herself, she should do something herself. Netflix is obviously such a huge company, they’re going to surround her with quality people to make her look good. At the end of the day, they’re trying to chase the money,” he added.

Stocks also claimed he watched With Love, and didn’t like it.

“I honestly thought it was terrible. Everything — the music is quite slow, it’s quite lethargic, it’s quite painful to watch. I think she should go back to acting,” he said, seemingly referencing her past role on Suits. “She’s quite a good actress. In real life or on screen. People should stick to what they do best.”

Those who actually worked on Meghan’s lifestyle series — which has already been renewed for a second season — feel quite differently.

In an interview with People, published on Saturday, March 8, With Love’s director Michael Steed said Meghan was “friendly” while filming and managed to create a “comfortable environment” on set.

Meanwhile, an unnamed member of the crew told the outlet that Meghan was “warm,” “approachable,” and “genuine.”

“She made sure everyone felt included, from Netflix executives to our director to every PA on set. No one was left out,” the crew member said.

Steed noted that the duchess is not a professional chef but a home cook — and was not trying to pretend to be anything else.

While there’s no word on whether or not such a biopic is in the works, Seyfried has four projects on her slate: the TV series Long Bright River and movies The Housemaid, Ann Lee, and My Ex-Friend’s Wedding.

Long Bright River will debut on Peacock on March 13. The series is focused on the opioid crisis, something Seyfried told The Hollywood Reporter in a March 7 interview is “smart” because “why make TV if we’re not stepping in other people’s shoes?” She added, “You always just hope that people want to see it. Naya Rivera’s son, Josey, had an emotional reaction to watching 2011’s Glee: The 3D Concert Movie several years after her tragic death at 33.

“He sat there and he watched the whole movie, and you could see his eyes welling up a little bit,” Rivera’s ex-husband, Ryan Dorsey, told People in an interview published on Sunday, March 9. “He’s a strong boy, and he has a lot of content and episodes. His mom will live forever. I think that’s a silver lining of this terrible situation.”

Dorsey, 41, and Rivera, who was best known for her role as Santana Lopez on Glee, were married from 2014 to 2018. Two years after the actors divorced, Rivera died by drowning in July 2020.

“I would 100 percent be open to coming back as any character in the HBO Harry Potter series,” Fiennes-Tiffin, 27, exclusively told Us Weekly on Wednesday, March 5, while attending the premiere of Picture This at Neuehouse Madison Square in New York City.

Teddie Mellencamp is back in the saddle after undergoing brain surgery last month.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum shared photos and videos of herself riding her horse, Toad, and competing in an equestrian event via Instagram on Saturday, March 8.

“17 days in hospital. First ride in 4 weeks. I am so blessed,” she wrote over footage of herself taking part in a dressage event.

“Dear brain tumors. You tried to break my heart. You failed. I love life 2 much to waste more tears on you,” Mellencamp, 43, wrote over a photo of two show ribbons. She also thanked professional equestrians John Zambrano and Peter Lomabardo for “giving me the confidence and support to go back in the show ring.”

Mellencamp posted more footage from her day at the paddocks, sharing a video while she rode Toad and thanked him for being a “horse of a lifetime.”

Mellencamp recently underwent brain surgery on February 12 to remove multiple tumors, which produced “severe and debilitating headaches” for several weeks and had reportedly been growing for six months. In an update post-surgery, she shared photos from the hospital, as well as a CT scan, and revealed that four tumors were removed from her brain. She is now receiving immunotherapy and radiation.

“I have multiple tumors in my brain that weren’t able to be removed via surgery. I also have 2 tumors in my lung. These are all metastases of my melanoma,” Mellencamp wrote via Instagram on Thursday, March 6. “The doctors are hopeful that immunotherapy will effectively treat them. I am feeling positive — that I will win this battle, that I got this wig (I like the short hair, just not the bald spots), and that I can remember all of Angelina [Jolie]’s kids’ names. Now, as @bravoandy would say: with all due… f*** off, cancer!”

Earlier on Saturday, Mellencamp opened up about how horseback riding has helped her amid her cancer journey. (She was also diagnosed with stage II melanoma, a type of skin cancer, which was promptly removed in 2022.)

“I unknowingly rode with huge tumors in my brain for 6 months and those big ones are gone now. When you are sick or have cancer, your mental health is very important. I must keep going and give myself joy and goals,” Mellencamp shared via Instagram.

Where Does Her Power Rank?

“Hetty is very invested in where her power ranks,” Wisocky teases, revealing, “It is not something onerous or stinky like Isaac.”

She explains, “It could end up being very useful. It is surprising and shocking and opens up a new relationship for Hetty. It opens up a new kind of portal into the living world. But of course, it comes with its restrictions and [a] shortcoming.”

The TV star adds that when Hetty receives her power in the “St. Hetty’s Day” episode she “thinks it’s at the top” of the list ranking wise. “At the end of the day, not so much,” Wisocky says.

What Is Hetty’s Reaction to Gaining Her Power?

“She’s shocked and excited and feels that it opens up a whole new world of possibilities for her,” she dishes. “It’s also kind of humbling and sweet.”

How Many Blue Dresses Does Hetty Go Through?

Throughout the series, Hetty wears an iconic blue dress that signifies her life in the late 1800s. Wisocky, however, says there isn’t just one blue gown on set.

“I have many different dresses,” she explains. “They’ve tweaked them and suddenly changed them in how they fit over the years and had to source and create new [ones] because there was a limited amount of that blue silk fabric, so they had to actually go and recreate it and then make new dresses from that fabric.”

She says, “I think maybe there’s like six now. And I have various different corsets, depending on how tortured I wish to feel on any given day.”

What’s Her Favorite Part of Hetty’s Evolution?

“One of my favorite things that they’ve done with her and they’ve allowed me to do with her is she’s this wonderful juxtaposition between stick in the mud, uptight, ornery, and also incredibly childlike,” Wisocky shares. “I love those sides of her when she gets to be, you know, innocent and open and eager about discovering new things.”

She jokes, “Of course, she does so through this very odd lens from her own time period in her own, you know, life, it’s humorous and kind of adorable too. The way she gets it all wrong.”

Wisocky praises the character for approaching “many of these new things and challenges and concepts with both judgment and complete childlike abandon and that’s so much fun for me as an actor.”

How Does the Cast Bond Off Camera?

After working together for four years, Wisocky tells Us that the cast “really love each other” and that “chemistry” has grown thanks to their “closeness, that sense of comradery and being on the same team.”

The actors film in Montreal, so when they are on location Wisocky says they often “go out to dinner” or “hockey games, we go to concerts,” because “we’re stuck there.” She notes that when the group shoots over Thanksgiving week they celebrate the holiday together.

Their other activities include pickleball, dinners and playing boardgames. “Everyone was into pickleball this past year and that’s been really fun. Most of us play pickleball up there and we play Scrabble,” Wisocky reveals. “Brandon [Scott Jones] and I are super into Scrabble.”

She continues, “Some of us had taken French lessons together.” Wisocky says with a laugh, “It’s like summer camp, but it’s summer, fall, winter.”
