Regina Hall Reveals Her Home's Raccoon Infestation: 'They're F—ers'

Regina Hall has some unexpected — and unwanted — house guests.

“I have squatters, roommates, I don’t know what you call them,” Hall, 54, joked while appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday, February 3.

The Support the Girls actress then discovered that she has something in common with host Jimmy Kimmel — their homes have both been invaded by raccoons.

“Some call them pests, some call them pets,” Kimmel, 57, noted, before Hall admitted: “I call them f—ers!”

Kimmel showed security camera footage of multiple raccoons searching for food outside Hall’s home as his studio audience groaned in horror.

“Look at that little fat one right there,” Hall angrily complained as the video played. “They’re getting bigger every [day]! It’s not up there [in the footage] but I put these lights up. The lights and sounds are supposed to [discourage the racoons] but they think it’s a club!”

She went on: “It’s supposed to make them scared. It does nothing! They think it’s like paparazzi!”

The actress discovered that her pesky raccoons are searching for earthworms in the fresh sod she’d recently installed in her yard. Kimmel offered a unique solution – put a bucket of earthworms somewhere outside of her property to lure the raccoons away.

“They’d come back more,” Hall insisted.

Hall admitted she’d once got so frustrated by her uninvited guests that she’d nearly thrown an apple at the racoons in anger, but quickly clarified: “I didn’t [actually do it]!”

“[I realized] no, they’re going to think I’m feeding them,” she pointed out. “You can’t feed them.”

Kimmel’s second suggestion was a bit trickier, as he encouraged Hall to to put earthworms and other food on her “neighbor’s lawn” instead.

Gigi Hadid Is Just Like Us — Her NYC Home Had a ‘Rat Problem’

“Now, that’s a really good idea,” she agreed.

Hall later detailed her many attempts to rid her yard of these uninvited guests, though she’s had absolutely no success thus far.

“I put out mothballs, they’re supposed to not like mothballs,” she said. “I’ve put out peppers. I’ve done the lights… I gotta protect my lawn too! They’re so smart and tenacious, this has been going on, I swear, like six [or] seven months. They’ve got rights! It’s horrible.”

Kimmel shared that he’d been experiencing a similar problem at his home, after spotting raccoon-shaped footprints on his staircase.

“It could be a possum,” Kimmel theorized, but Hall corrected him: “It’s a raccoon, I know it!”

Hall warned Kimmel he might be in for more trouble if he has a swimming pool — the furry creatures have started to use hers to take baths.

“There’s salt butt prints surrounding my pool,” she vented. “Their fat asses have sat around and left stains around the entire pool. I can’t get them up!”

When Kimmel suggested Hall’s only solution might be to move out of her house, she conceded: “Maybe! I might have to! … One of [these raccoons] has been to prison, for sure!”

Hall appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to promote her Netflix movie O’Dessa, released via Hulu March 20. Stranger Things star Sadie Sink leads the post-apocalyptic musical as a farmer trying to save her lost love and recover a family heirloom in a strange and dangerous new world.

Jimmy Kimmel Live airs weeknights at 11.35p.m. ET on ABC.

Why Kendall Jenner Wanted Her Vanity Fair Oscar Glam to Be on the ‘Darker Side’

Kendall Jenner is down to experiment with her makeup, as long as she keeps her base the same.

For the Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday, March 2, Jenner, 29, wanted her makeup to be a bit “on the darker side” with the same signature glow she regularly dons. “We never take it too far,” she explained to Vanity Fair while getting ready in a YouTube video directed by Kirsten White and published on Monday, March 3.

Jenner’s makeup artist, Mary Phillips, agreed with her, sharing, “We’ll change the tones of the makeup but we’ll keep her signature makeup look very similar.” She then dusted the Infallible Blur-fection Powder under Jenner’s eyes and on the centers of her face. Phillips gave the Kardashians star the exact eye look she wanted, which included bronzed eyeshadow and flirty lashes that came courtesy of L’Oreal Paris Panorama mascara

As she got glammed up, the model praised Phillips — whom she’s worked with for nine years — and hairstylist Tamás Tüzes, calling the team her “angels sent from heaven.”

Relive Kendall Jenner's Most Iconic Red Carpet Fashion Moments

“I literally don’t go anywhere without Mary,” the supermodel said. “I will not step foot on a red carpet without Mary.”

Jenner continued, making Phillips blush, “She’s the best thing to ever happen to me. I’m obsessed with her. She’s more than a makeup artist — she’s my family.”

Phillips then returned the love to Jenner, telling her, “It’s very mutual. She saved me, too. We found each other.”

Jenner — who only stays out late “five nights out of the year” — also praised her new hairstylist, Tüzes, noting she felt “so lucky” to be working with both of them.

The 818 founder knows how truly “important” it is to have a good glam team and credited many of her looks to them. “It’s also [about] having good energy with you and people you trust and feel comfortable with and that lift you up,” she explained.

Jenner also gave a shout-out to her vintage 1992 Mugler dress, featuring a rubber lace silhouette, long pagoda sleeves and a keyhole cutout. Styled by Dani Michelle, she felt “honored” to wear the design.

Kim Kardashian and Her Sisters Take the Vanity Fair Oscar Party

On the 1992 runway, Eva Herzigová modeled the dress in red ruby earrings, which Jenner recreated with custom pieces from Lorraine Schwartz.

Elsewhere in the video, Jenner quipped that a Dirty Shirley would be her Vanity Fair Oscar party cocktail of choice. She even got into the spirit by ordering one to her hotel room before heading out. Cheers to that!

Nancy Travis Calls Gene Hackman 'Greatest' Actor After His Death

Nancy Travis reflected on how inspired she was by former costar Gene Hackman after his death.

During an exclusive interview for an upcoming issue of Us Weekly, Travis, 63, recalled sharing the screen with Hackman.

“Given the fact that Gene Hackman has just passed away, I did [want to note that] I worked with him in a movie called Loose Cannons,” she noted. “I just remember marveling while acting opposite him and thinking, ‘He’s not doing anything. This is one of the greatest actors of our time and nothing’s happening.'”

Travis left the set with a new appreciation for his subtle but powerful performance, adding, “What a journey I went on to learn about acting, because he’s amazing. He was amazing [just] by virtue of the fact that he does it all internally, and it’s his relationship with the camera. He was amazing.”

Dustin Hoffman Calls Late Friend Gene Hackman 'A Giant Among Actors'

Us confirmed on Thursday, February 27, that Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, were found dead at their home in Sante Fe, New Mexico. Hackman rose to stardom for his roles in movies such as The French Connection and Unforgiven, earning two Oscars and widespread acclaim throughout his career.

“I never think of myself [as a star],” Hackman told Larry King during an interview in 2004. “I never had the aspirations to be a star. I wanted to be an actor. A movie actor, a theater actor, that’s all I ever wanted to do.”

After Hackman’s death, tributes poured in from Hollywood.

Francis Ford Coppola, who directed Hackman in 1974’s The Conversation, wrote, “The loss of a great artist, always cause for both mourning and celebration: Gene Hackman, a great actor, inspiring and magnificent in his work and complexity. I mourn his loss, and celebrate his existence and contribution.”

Meanwhile, George Takei noted that “we have lost one of the true giants of the screen,” adding, “Gene Hackman could play anyone, and you could feel a whole life behind it. He could be everyone and no one, a towering presence or an everyday Joe. That’s how powerful an actor he was. He will be missed, but his work will live on forever.”

Gene Hackman Through the Years: His Life and Career in Photos

Bill Murray praised Hackman while discussing their time working together on Wes Anderson’s The Royal Tenenbaums. “He was a tough nut, Gene Hackman. But he was really good,” Murray told the Associated Press. “And he was really difficult, we can say it now, but he was a tough guy. Older, great actors do not give young directors much of a chance. They’re really rough on them, and Gene was really rough on Wes. I used to kind of step in there and just try to defend my friend.”

Murray, 74, noted how Hackman would nail a take “25 times” while another other actor in the scene would blow it “every single” time.

“I was watching it going, ‘No wonder this guy wants to throttle people,’” he continued. “And then he sort of gave an ordinary performance and the other actor got it right and I thought Gene was going to throw the actor off the ledge of the building. So, he was a great one. He was a great actor.”

Denise Richards and her family are far from camera shy.

The actress first offered fans insight into her life when appearing on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for two seasons from 2019 to 2020. Five years later, in 2025, she peeled back the curtain once again via her own Bravo reality series, Denis Richards & Her Wild Things.

Instead of drama with other women, Denise’s new show will focus on her immediate family, including husband Aaron Phypers, daughters Sami Sheen, Lola Sheen and Eloise Richards.

“After Housewives, [producer] Alex Baskin approached me and asked if I would want to do a family reality show,” Denise told Us Weekly exclusively in February 2025. “Obviously, I wanted the girls to really want to do it and I think it’s also a great time for them. They’ve always lived, basically, in the shadows of their parents where they’re the daughters of, and it’s a nice time for them to be able to be themselves and shine.”

Denise Richards Teases New Reality Show Featuring Her Daughters

While the girls had differing views about starring in a reality show — Sami was immediately on board, while Lola had her reservations — they both agreed to appear. Denise told Us that she really wanted the series to showcase her family for who and how they are.

“I wanted us to just live our life,” she continued. “One of the biggest things I wanted the girls to do is to just be their true, authentic self. I don’t want anything inauthentic. … I think that there’s a lot of things that a lot of people can relate to.”

Ione Skye's Secret Fling with Matthew Perry and More Revelations

4 March 2025 at 11:41

Say Anything… star Ione Skye opens up about failed on-set hookups and her romances with some of the world’s biggest rock stars in her memoir Say Everything.

After her Hollywood breakthrough in 1986’s River’s Edge alongside Keanu Reeves and Crispin Glover, Skye was suddenly shot into teenage superstardom. She then followed her early success with the most iconic role of her career as high school valedictorian Diane Court in 1989’s Say Anything…, in which she was memorably wooed by costar John Cusack (and a boombox playing Peter Gabriel‘s “In Your Eyes”).

Skye’s real love life soon became a hot topic, after she married Beastie Boys member Adam Horovitz and had a short-lived fling with Friends star Matthew Perry before raising a family with Australian singer-songwriter Ben Lee.

Skye details all of her celebrity romances (and much more) in Say Everything: A Memoir, so keep scrolling for some of the biggest revelations:

Breaking Down Keanu Reeves and Matthew Perry’s History Through the Years

Anthony Kiedis

TheStewartofNY/WireImage

One of the more uncomfortable passages in Say Everything: A Memoir involves Skye’s relationship with the Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Kiedis when she was just 16 and he was 24.

The two met shortly after the rocker finished a stint in rehab, and Skye remembers that they were “full-blown, instantly enmeshed” after she surprised the singer backstage at a Chili Peppers concert in Tucson. Skey describes a fraught romance with the singer, in part because Kiedis allegedly used drugs throughout their time together.

“My ‘Falling for Anthony’ phase was quickly replaced by my ‘Saving Anthony’ phase,” she said. “Sometimes I’d drive all night looking for him, trawling the usual spots over and over.”

The actress added: “Anthony would have to hit rock bottom to quit drugs, just as I’d have to hit my own rock bottom to quit the feeling I had to take care of Anthony. The need to save him was an addiction in itself. I was hooked.”

Skye claimed that, aside from trying to stop Kiedis’s alleged drug use, she also dealt with the singer’s alleged infidelity.

“He was always cheating on me, and I was never surprised,” she claimed.

When Skye discovered sometime later that she was pregnant at age 17, she made the decision to have an abortion.

“While I regretted not being more careful, and putting myself in danger, I was taking care of myself now, making a choice that felt good and important for my future,” she wrote. “I wanted to be young and also to keep working. I would not have a baby at 17, with someone who didn’t want to be a dad, wouldn’t commit to me, and had anger issues. Not to mention the heroin.”

The couple broke up soon after.

Keanu Reeves

Skye confessed to harbouring a crush on her River’s Edge costar all throughout filming and finally made her move once they spent some time alone.

The actress interrupted Reeves as he was trying to take a shower, recalling: “I maneuvered between him and the open shower curtain, water spraying my back. His beautiful neck was right there, so close I could lick it, so I did. I zeroed in on his beautiful throat, sucking and making out with it.”

However, when Skye tried to take things further, Keanu stopped her and admitted: “I, ah, don’t think I want to.”

“We were still stuck together, breathing hard. I pressed my face, red from the kiss and now embarrassment, into his chest. No zipless f— for me,” she remembered.

Skye reported that it was “only a little awkward” between them on the River’s Edge set after their near-miss, though she credited Reeves with consistently treating her with respect.

John Cusack

Skye confirmed that, although she and Cusack both had crushes on each other while filming Say Anything…, they never acted on their feelings until decades later.

Once Skye had divorced her husband Horovitz in 2000, she reconnected with Cusack and they engaged in a brief fling.

“I’d slept with Johnny after my divorce because I’d needed to get him out of my system and it had worked — now I knew we were meant to be in love only in the movies,” she wrote.

The actress said that, aside from their brief fling, she’d had “sweet friendship” with Cusack and “always admired him.”

Adam Horovitz

Skye and Horovitz got married in 1992, but their relationship was tumultuous. The pair had multiple separations and brief reconciliations before their divorce in 2000.

The Arrested Development actress addressed the trauma of splitting from the Beastie Boys member, acknowledging feeling as if “the floor [fell] out from under” her feet when she received a letter from Horovitz asking for a divorce.

One of the ways Skye coped with the breakup of her marriage was to get her “Adam” tattoo altered to a more empowering message.

“As a divorce present to myself, I’d had ADAM turned into MADAME. I loved my MADAME tattoo,” she declared.

She also credits her strained marriage with helping her discover her bisexuality. She later dated model Jenny Shimizu and socialite Ingrid Casares.

Matthew Perry

Actress Ione Skye Shares Heartwarming Final Text From Matthew Perry

Shortly after her divorce, Skye received an unexpected phone call from her A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon costar Perry, who she said suggested they catch up over a “sober drink” since they were both recovering addicts.

“I normally didn’t accept booty calls, which I assumed this was… but it was Matthew Perry! I was curious, and he was adorable and handsome and rich and presumably sober, so I said yes,” she noted.

Perry is described by Skye as taller than she remembered and “quite dashing,” with “a great head of hair” and a “playful twist of a smile.”

“Somehow I didn’t see Chandler from Friends, I saw the boy I knew when we were 16 and 17,” she explained.

Biggest Takeaways From Matthew Perry Doc: 'Friends' Costar Quotes and More

Skye wrote that, before long, the two were under the covers in Perry’s bedroom. “The sex was perfectly pleasant, though the silent talking heads on the flat-screen distracted me and Matthew seemed far away. Neither of us gave it our all,” she admitted.

The two hooked up a second time one week later, but this was the last time Skye ever saw Perry in person. Skye later shared the final text she’d received from Perry before he died at age 54 in October 2023.

“I was meditating (I meditate now) and ‘In Your Eyes’ started playing. And I instantly thought of you and how beautiful you are,” Perry wrote to her.

Ben Lee

Ione Skyes Secret Fling with John Cusack and More Revelations From New Memoir
Alberto E. Rodriguez/Getty Images

Skye tied the knot with Aussie rocker Lee in December 2008 and the couple welcomed daughter Goldie Priya the following year.

The pair first met when Skye was 26 and Lee was 18, but they wouldn’t begin dating until over a decade later. Skye had recently split from Horovitz, while Lee had broken up with Claire Danes.

Once they pair finally hooked up, Skye realized: “Our romp had activated something in me. I wanted more and felt confident I could bag this kid again, easy-peasy. I was hot and sexy and desirable, still in my prime. Why play games? Ben wasn’t some stranger. God, what a relief. I could just be myself.”

Skye said that her only regret from her courtship with Lee was their decision to get married in a traditional Hindu ceremony in India.

“Cringe-worthy, I know. This was before the mainstream conversation about cultural appropriation,” she confessed.

The actress said of her life now: “Ben and I have been married for 16 (faithful!) years. Is it a coincidence that the three major relationships in my life have been with musicians? Maybe not. I grew up wishing my father’s [‘Mellow Yellow’ singer Donovan] songs had expressed love for me. Now my partner sings achingly beautiful, romantic songs about me, and silly, sweet ones for our daughters to make them laugh. His love, devotion, and camaraderie make the world feel limitless, yet safe, for all of us. And nothing has helped me make peace with my fatherless past more than seeing Ben father my daughters.”

Say Everything: A Memoir is available on Amazon and other retailers now.

Kristin Cavallari is coming back to TV like you’ve never seen her before!

Cavallari, 38, announced on the Tuesday, March 4, episode of her “Let’s Be Honest” podcast that she is doing a docuseries that will “follow the entire podcast tour journey.”

“I know that I have said I will not go back to reality TV 5,000 times. This is different,” she revealed. “This is not just a show about my personal life. I’m not dating on the show. It’s not trying to come up with drama for story lines.”

Cavallari insisted, “This is truly a docuseries in the best sense of the word.”

Kristin Cavallari ‘Blown Away’ by Sold-Out Shows for Her Podcast Tour

E! announced on Tuesday that Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour will premiere on Thursday, June 5. The series will capture behind-the-scenes moments from Cavallari’s upcoming podcast tour, which kicks off in Atlanta on Friday, March 7.

Cavallari told her listeners on Tuesday that she wants to make the new show “as authentic as possible” after doing three other reality shows in her career.

“We are going to make this as real as possible. I’m excited and just show you guys the behind-the-scenes,” she said, teasing, “I’m going to save all the juicy stuff for the show and the actual podcast.”

Kristin Cavallari Through the Years: From 'Laguna Beach' to Mother of 3

Cavallari previously revealed that her Headline Tour will focus on headlines (naturally) she’s made over the years, with guest stars that have either raised eyebrows in the press themselves or were part of her news-worthy stories.

The series will be unlike Cavallari’s past TV gigs, as it will feature “candid conversations with famous friends, Bravolebrities, memorable exes and other notable celebs from Kristin’s life as they unfold the stories behind their buzziest headlines — and make new ones — with jaw-dropping revelations that set the record straight,” according to E!’s press release.

‘I’m Not Holding Back’: Kristin Cavallari Talks Divorce, Dating & More

As Cavallari’s tour unfolds — with additional dates in Chicago, Boston and New York — the guest will be revealed in real time and the cameras will capture it all.

While Cavallari is new to touring, she knows how to work a reality TV camera. The Uncommon James founder got her start on MTV’s Laguna Beach, which documented her life and that of then-boyfriend Stephen Colletti, alleged rival Lauren Conrad and more Laguna Beach High School students.

The series, which ran from 2004 to 2006, led to a spinoff in Los Angeles called The Hills. After Conrad left the second show, Cavallari stepped in as the lead. (Cavallari and Conrad crossed over during season 5 in 2009, before Cavallari took the helm for season 6 in 2010.)

Cavallari later helmed her own E! reality series called Very Cavallari, which followed the expansion of her business in Nashville and her marriage to Jay Cutler. (Cavallari and Cutler, 41, announced their divorce in April 2020. The exes share three children: Camden, Jaxon and Saylor.)

Very Cavallari lasted three seasons from 2018 to 2020. It was the last time that Cavallari starred on reality TV.

“THE BITCH IS BACK … again!!!! 4th times a charm 😜,” Cavallari teased via Instagram on Tuesday, once again celebrating her docuseries news. “I’m back with my E! family to document my Let’s Be Honest podcast tour. Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour will premiere June 5th on @eentertainment ! Can’t wait to be back!!!! I’ll see yall soon 💗.”

Brittany Mahomes had a visit from an unexpected guest while working out.

In an Instagram Story shared on Monday, March 3, Mahomes, 29, posed for a mirror selfie in the gym, which appeared to be in a garage-like space. As she panned the camera, a flock of chickens became visible on the threshold of the door.

“Back in the gym with a side of chickens,” Mahomes wrote with a laughing emoji and heart eye emoji. Mahomes tagged trainer Betina Gozo Shimonek, who reposted the video to her Instagram Story and wrote, “The queen @brittanylynne is back and with the other queens.” She added three laughing emojis and a chicken emoji.

In another image, Brittany posed with a stroller that seemingly carried daughter Golden. “My fav workout partner,” she added, with a white heart emoji.

The trainer also shared a glimpse of her workout with Mahomes, uploading a video of her on one knee and lifting a weight. In the clip, a newborn sat in a bassinet while the stroller Brittany was pushing sat next to her.

“Triple duty: @brittanylynne’s Trainer. Makoa’s Momma. Golden’s Babysitter,” Shimonek captioned the video, alongside a laughing face emoji.

Brittany and her husband, Patrick Mahomes, welcomed daughter Golden in January. “•Golden Raye Mahomes• 1/12/25🎀✨,” the couple, who tied the knot in 2022, captioned a joint Instagram post of their newborn daughter’s foot at the time. (Brittany and Patrick, 29, previously welcomed daughter Sterling in 2021 and son Bronze in 2022.)

Weeks after Golden’s arrival, Brittany stepped out to support the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback at the 2025 Super Bowl. (The Chiefs lost the game to the Philadelphia Eagles.)

Later that month, Brittany shared a glimpse of Sterling bonding with the newborn in honor of her eldest daughter’s 4th birthday. In the post, Brittany called her eldest daughter “the best big sister to Golden & Bronze and they are so lucky to have you guiding them🥹.”

Brittany, who threw a Bluey-themed bash for the milestone birthday, shared a sweet tribute to Sterling.

“This sweetest, most kind little girl ever! I thank God every day for choosing me to be your mom, you have taught me so much about life and what matters most and I truly am so thankful you made me a mama,” Brittany wrote via Instagram in February. “You are the best big sister to Golden & Bronze and they are so lucky to have you guiding them your Mom and Dad love you beyond and more.”

Whether the dress code is beach formal or formal attire, choosing a wedding guest outfit can sometimes feel confusing and overwhelming. (Don’t even get me started on what “black-tie optional” is supposed to mean!) That’s why it’s smart to have a few trusty pieces on hand to take you through every type of celebration — now, you just have to worry about pairing them with the right dress or suit! Scoop’s slingbacks feature a small yet sturdy block heel that provides just 1.89 inches of height. You’ll still look dressed up while wearing them, but since your foot will have plenty of support, you won’t be itching to take your heels off mid-reception.

Harvey Weinstein and Ex-Wife Georgina Chapman’s Relationship Timeline

4 March 2025 at 11:25

Harvey Weinstein and his ex-wife Georgina Chapman experienced a lot of turmoil during their marriage.

Weinstein and Chapman met at a party in 2004 and began dating on and off initially. Ultimately, the pair tied the knot in 2007 and went on to welcome daughter India in 2010 followed by son Dashiell in 2013.

In October 2017, things took a turn for the duo when the New York Times published a expose claiming that Weinstein had a history of sexual harassment going back decades.

“I came of age in the 60’s and 70’s, when all the rules about behavior and workplaces were different. That was the culture then,” Weinstein said in a statement in response to the allegations. “I have since learned it’s not an excuse, in the office — or out of it. To anyone. I realized some time ago that I needed to be a better person and my interactions with the people I work with have changed. I appreciate the way I’ve behaved with colleagues in the past has caused a lot of pain, and I sincerely apologize for it. Though I’m trying to do better, I know I have a long way to go. That is my commitment.”

One week after the article was published, Chapman announced she was filing for divorce from Weinstein.

“My heart breaks for all the women who have suffered tremendous pain because of these unforgivable actions,” Chapman said in a statement to People at the time. “I have chosen to leave my husband. Caring for my young children is my first priority and I ask the media for privacy at this time.”

After their split, Chapman moved on with Adrien Brody in 2019. Weinstein was found guilty of rape and sentenced to 23 years in prison in 2020. His sentencing was overturned in April 2024 by the New York State Court of Appeals, stating that the original trial judge had prejudiced Weinstein with improper ruling. Weinstein’s new trial is set to start on Tuesday, April 15.

One week after Weinstein’s sexual assault scandal was revealed, Chapman filed for divorce from Weinstein.

“I sat down with my wife Georgina, who I love more than anything, and we discussed what was best for our family,” Weinstein told Us Weekly in a statement one month after their split was announced. “We discussed the possibility of a separation and I encouraged her to do what was in her heart. In the end, she made the decision to separate.”

January 2018

According to documents obtained by Us, Weinstein and Chapman finalized the deals of their divorce. The agreement detailed a property settlement as well as a custody agreement over India and Dashiell. It also included a prenuptial agreement stating Weinstein would owe Chapman more money, given that they were married for more than 10 years.

Chapman opened up about the sexual abuse allegations against Weinstein for the first time.

“My head was spinning and it was difficult because the first article was about a time long before I’d ever met him, so there was a minute where I couldn’t make an informed decision,” she told Vogue at the time. “And then the stories expanded and I realized that this wasn’t an isolated incident. And I knew that I needed to step away and take the kids out of here.”

The fashion designer noted that she was “never” suspicious about Weinstein’s behavior during their 10 years of marriage.

“That’s what makes this so incredibly painful: I had what I thought was a very happy marriage,” she told the outlet. “I loved my life. … He was a wonderful partner to me. He was a friend and a confidant and a supporter.”

July 2021

According to Us, Harvey and Chapman finalized their divorce.

“Harvey’s only thoughts are happiness for his family and the hope that his children are always cared for and happy,” Weinstein’s publicist, Juda Engelmayer, said in a statement to Us. “He loves them and hopes that they know it, and that one day soon, he can be closer to them.”

Weinstein reacted to the news that Brody mentioned Weinstein’s kids with Chapman in the actor’s 2025 Oscars acceptance speech after winning Best Actor.

“Harvey is happy for Georgina and grateful that his kids are being loved and cared for as they deserve to be,” Weinstein’s rep Engelmayer said in a statement to Us.

Jordan Chiles Continues Fight Against Controversial Olympics' Medal Ruling

Jordan Chiles is not backing down in her fight to regain the bronze medal she believes she earned at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

Chiles, 23, appeared on Good Morning America Tuesday, March 4, and discussed her mental state seven months removed from the controversial ruling at the Games.

“I can tell you I’m doing way better than I was when it first happened,” Chiles said on GMA.

She continued, “I definitely can only do so much for myself, really focus on my mental, and knowing that I’ve been at UCLA and competing with the team has really helped with that. I’m going to continue to fight and understand that I can only control what I can do with myself. And let everything else just be on the backend of whether my lawyer, my attorney are doing whatever they can to continue to fight for that.”

Jordan Chiles Gets Asked for Selfies on UCLA Campus, But Craves Normalcy

Chiles is currently in the midst of her junior season on the UCLA Bruins’ gymnastics team. She returned to the team last year after being stripped of a bronze medal in the women’s individual floor exercise routine in August 2024.

After Chiles’ coach, Cecile Landi, raised an inquiry about Chiles’ score, she judges bumped her up one-tenth of a point. The score adjustment moved Chiles into third place and Romania’s Ana Bărbosu to fourth.

The Romanian Gymnastics Federation then filed an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), challenging the timeliness of the inquiry. The Federation argued it was submitted four seconds after the one-minute appeal window.

Eventually, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) sided with the Romanian Federation and awarded the bronze medal to Bărbosu, 18.

Jordan Chiles Details 'Difficult' Bronze Medal Loss in Emotional Interview

Chiles’ representatives have since filed two appeals in the Federal Supreme Court of Switzerland, most recently in September 2024. USA Gymnastics has also filed a separate appeal.

The appeals asked the court to require CAS to re-open the proceedings and consider their audio and video evidence — which comes from the Netflix camera crews who were in Paris filming Simone Biles’ docuseries, Rising — and allegedly disproves the timeline laid out in the initial ruling.

Whether or not she ever gets her medal back, Chiles insisted she’s at peace with things.

“I’m just going to continue on to move with life,” she said on GMA. “I can’t control what happens at the end of the day. I just know what’s right with me and that I’m always just going to continue to look forward.”

Why Denise Richards' Daughter Lola Sheen Hesitated to Join Reality TV

4 March 2025 at 11:18

Denise Richards’ daughter, Lola Sheen, chose faith over fear when she signed up for reality TV.

“I’m a follower of Jesus… [and] I really sat on it for a while with the Lord and I was like, ‘I don’t want to misinterpret you to others, but I know that this is an opportunity to shine His light,’” Lola, 19, exclusively shared with Us Weekly before the Tuesday, March 4, premiere of Denise Richards and Her Wild Things. “So then I decided to do it.”

One of the biggest things preventing Lola from jumping in was her rocky relationship with older sister Sami Sheen.

For nearly a year, the pair blocked each other on social media and butted heads over a variety of topics.

Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards’ Daughter Sami Sheen Through the Years

“We are sisters so we fight, but at the time we were having problems and so I never wanted to misinterpret Christ to anybody,” Lola explained. “That’s why I hesitated, but I realized I’m not perfect.”

In Denise Richards and Her Wild Things, Richards, 54, allowed cameras to document her life as a working actress, wife to Aaron Phyphers  and mother in the public eye. (In addition to Sami, 20, and Lola — who she shares with ex-husband Charlie Sheen — Richards also adopted Eloise, 13, in 2011.)

“I wanted the girls to really want to do it, and I think it’s also a great time for them,” Richards explained to Us. “They’ve always lived basically in the shadows of their parents where they’re ‘the daughters of,’ and it’s a nice time for them to be able to be themselves and shine and be Sami and Lola.”

While Lola was hesitant to jump right in, Sami was ready for the cameras to capture her reality.

“I’m actually the complete opposite,” she said when addressing her sister’s initial fears. “I’ve been wanting a reality show for so long, and I’m so happy and so grateful that we finally have our own show. It was really fun filming it, and I love it.”

Before viewers sit down and enjoy the show, Richards reminded fans that she is far from perfect. At the same time, she believes her family’s reality will be relatable to many who choose to watch.

Denise Richards Makes Rare Comment About Ex Charlie Sheen's Twin Sons

“I wanted us to just live our life,” Richards said when explaining the goal of the show. “At the end of the day, I’m a mom that deals with challenges like a lot of other parents dealing with kids that are siblings and trying to let your kids grow up and be on their own. I think that there’s a lot in our show, a lot of things that a lot of people can relate to.”

Denise Richards and Her Wild Things premieres on Bravo Tuesday, March 4, at 9 p.m. ET. Viewers can stream episodes the next day on Peacock.

Most Unusual Things Meghan Markle Makes on Netflix Show

Most Unusual Things Meghan Markle Makes on Netflix Show
Jenna Peffley/Netflix

Meghan Markle is showing off her DIY skills on her new Netflix show.

The eight-episode With Love, Meghan series gave a glimpse of the Duchess of Sussex’s life in Montecito, California, with husband Prince Harry — and shared tips on baking, cooking, crafting and hosting while getting visits from several famous faces. (The couple, who tied the knot in 2018, share son Archie, 5, and daughter Lilibet, 3.)

While incorporating fresh produce from her gardens and eggs from her family’s chicken coop (called Archie’s Chick Inn), Meghan, 43, prepared dishes including multiple crudité platters, fruit rainbows, last-minute frittata — for pal Mindy Kaling — and homemade coffee creamer, sun tea and mason-jar cocktails.

“I love feeding people,” she said. “It’s my love language. The only thing better than eating food is making food for someone and watching them eat it with delight.”

Not all of the duchess’ creations are edible, though. The lifestyle series also includes the Suits alum making crafts, homemade gifts and more.

Scroll down to see the unusual things Meghan makes in her Netflix show:

Homemade Bath Salts

While preparing for an overnight visit from Suits makeup artist turned longtime pal Daniel Martin, Meghan shared her love of creating a guest room experience — including what’s at the side of the bed for them and “what’s in the bathroom for them to have a beautiful soak.”

Meghan made homemade bath salts using arnica, lavender and pink himalayan sea salt and placed the mixture inside a cute mason jar.

Kids’ Party Gift Bags

Prepping for a “mock-up tea party” with fellow mom Kaling, Meghan showed viewers how to make kids party gift bags with gardening tools, seeds, compostable pots and manuka honey sticks.

Fruit Rainbows

Meghan demonstrated how to make a giant fruit rainbow on a wooden board, joined by Kaling to cut bananas for the clouds. (She also made a miniature, single-serving fruit rainbow with yogurt suitable for a kid’s breakfast.) The pair reminisced on their time working on shows — Meghan worked on Suits for eight years while Kaling was on The Office for seven.

Pickled Strawberries

Visiting L.A.-based celebrity chef Roy Choi taught the duchess how to make all sort of pickles (or “quickles”) — including pickled strawberries, which Us is now eager to try.

Speaking of strawberries, while making ice cream parfaits with homemade strawberry preserves, Meghan recalled picking fresh strawberries with her daughter and then using them to make the preserves. “Lili and I made the batch together,” Meghan said. “‘No mama, I’ll do it, I’ll stir it, I’ll mash it … she’s proud. That part felt good!”

Take-Home Dog Treats

In honor of Delfina Blaquier’s visit, Meghan made take-home treats for her dog — including peanut butter, eggs and flour. (Blaquier is the wife of Harry’s pal Nachos Figueras.)

While reflecting on her furry friends, Meghan said, “They provide us with unconditional love so they get unconditional PB dog biscuits.” (She fed one treat to her own elderly dog, Guy, who makes frequent appearances on the series. The cute beagle has since passed away.)

Lavender Cooling Towels

When it comes to lavender-soaked towels — perfect to cool down after a hike with Blacquier — Meghan called it one of those “easy surprising delights that…will bring a lot of joy” and bring a “hotel experience at home.”

Harvest Basket

Most Unusual Things Meghan Markle Makes on Netflix Show
Netflix

Before pal Vicky Tsai arrived, Meghan created a bountiful harvest basket for her from her garden — plus a carton of eggs with a custom label that reads, “Archie’s Chick Inn.”

“You’re not trying to create a harvest basket one meal,” she said. “You’re trying to create moments that they can pick from and each time they do that, they feel thought of.”

Meghan, who shared that she loves to keep the leaves on vegetables in harvest baskets and crudité platters for visual interest, offered a tip for those without a garden.

“We don’t all have a garden like this, I fully recognize that, I didn’t grow up with a garden like this,” she said. “But if you have a farmers’ market then you can definitely find something that if you have a bite of it and go ‘I wish they could try it!’ Then share it.”

Homemade Coffee Creamer

Despite coffee “not typically” being Meghan’s thing, she prepared the drink for Tsai complete with an indulgent homemade creamer with cream, condensed milk and vanilla bean.

Chili Oil

Meghan showed viewers how to make chili oil, explaining that she had a high tolerance for spice and is “ushering my family into my palate, but I love it.”

Celebrities Who Have Opened Up About Growing Up Mormon

4 March 2025 at 11:11

Several of Hollywood’s biggest stars have opened up about their ups and downs growing up in the Mormon church.

Katherine Heigl’s family converted to the religion after her brother, Jason, died in 1986 of injuries suffered in a car accident. “Both my parents felt a great desire for answers, and they found an answer in the Mormon church — or answers they could live with, anyway, because there really are none,” she told Vanity Fair in January 2008. “I give my parents unbelievable credit for pulling it together, and I give the Mormon church a lot of credit for helping them to do that.”

Although the Grey’s Anatomy alum is no longer practicing, her upbringing as a Latter-day Saint influenced her relationship with Josh Kelley, whom she wed in December 2007.

“I … didn’t want to live together before we were married. I still have enough Mormon in me — not a lot, but enough — that I wanted to keep that a little bit sacred,” she told the outlet.

Keep scrolling to see which celebrities grew up in the Mormon church — and what they’ve said about the religion:

The Chelsea Lately alum talked about growing up with a Jewish father and a Mormon mother during a February 2020 conversation with Judy Blume at the MAKERS Conference.
“I grew up as a Jew and Mormon … so we had to choose and I chose Jewish, obviously, because Mormonism is so ridiculous,” the comedian said.

The Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum told Intelligencer in April 2012 that she no longer considered herself to be “very Mormon” despite being raised in the faith.
“My problems with the church have to do with its stance on homosexuality, and other things,” she told the outlet.

"That structure and discipline was really good for me,” the Knocked Up actress told Good Housekeeping of her Mormon childhood in August 2014.

The late Fast and the Furious star left the church as an adult. During a December 2013 interview with GQ, Walker shared that his decision to keep working instead of staying at home with his daughter, Meadow, went against the parenting philosophy he was raised with.
“I went to a born-again Christian high school, was brought up in a traditional Mormon family where these ideas about parenting are of structure and sacrifice. To think outside of that idea of family and parenting that I've grown up with is tough, but also very freeing,” he said, noting that his daughter wanted him “to keep acting so she can travel around the world with me.”

“I’m not practicing, but I’m so glad I was raised Mormon,” Julianne told the New York Post in October 2013. The Footloose actress added that she grew up in a household where the rules were: “No sex before marriage, no drinking, no caffeine, no smoking, no swear words, no R-rated movies.”
Derek, for his part, no longer considers himself a member of the church either. He described his childhood as “very Mormon” in his August 2014 memoir, Taking the Lead: Lessons From a Life in Motion.

Gosling told Beliefnet in October 2007 that he didn’t identify with Mormon theology despite his upbringing in the church. “I wasn’t really Mormon, my parents were,” he said at the time. “My mom was really cool. She said, ‘This is an option, but this isn't the only option. This is an idea, but this isn’t the only idea. You have to find your own truth.’ I never really could identify with it.”
Noting that there are “good things about going to church,” Gosling went on to credit being Mormon with helping him socialize at a young age. “You have to pray in public, shake a lot of hands, talk in public, sing in church, stuff like that,” he said. “It has definitely stayed with me.”

The American Idol alum decided to take a step back from the church after coming out as a member of the LGBTQ+ community in June 2021.
During a November 2022 conversation with ABC News’ Steve Osunsami, Archuleta talked about the “faith crisis” he had after a leader in his church tried to invalidate his sexuality.
"I think three times in that conversation he said, 'Well, maybe we just need to find you a good girl. Maybe you can find a good girl,'" he recalled. "And I'm like, 'That's not the solution.'"
Despite his adverse experiences with the religion, the Florida native defended its practitioners.
"I would say, it's the church structure more than the people. Because the people have been amazing,” he said.

"I grew up as a Mormon and that had more of an impact on my values than my beliefs. I'm afraid I will always feel the weight of a lie,” Adams told The Sun in June 2013. “I’m very hard on myself anyway. Religious guilt carries over, too. You can't really misbehave without feeling badly about it — at least, I can’t.”
Adams added that Mormonism’s strict rules — which include a ban on drinking coffee and alcohol — remain a source of guilt. "Even when I go out with friends and we go overboard at bars or clubs, I wake up the next morning feeling a bit conflicted about having had too much fun,” she added.

Get Martha Stewart's Luxe Carry-on Luggage Look for Under $200

4 March 2025 at 11:00

Celebrities, they’re just like Us! Except they travel with luggage that costs four figures. Martha Stewart has been spotted with a Rimowa carry-on suitcase (along with larger versions) that costs a whopping $1,430. It’s made with high-end anodized aluminum and filled with convenient features that make traveling as easy as possible. As nice as that sounds, dropping that much on one suitcase isn’t feasible for most people. But have no fear, as we found that the AnyZip Aluminum Zipperless Luggage gives the same effect without breaking the bank.

The Rimowa lookalike has a similar aluminum frame, complete with metal corner protectors, double spinner wheels and built-in Transportation Security Administration (TSA) locks. The zipperless model is available in silver so you can match with Stewart, but you can also choose from seven other hues, including neutrals and fun pops of colors.

The AnyZip aluminum suitcase is available in 20-, 24- and 28-inch styles. Even if you get the largest size and with the upgraded TSA lock, you’ll still only be paying $190. A much easier price to digest, eh?

Sarah Michelle Gellar’s Travel Style Includes Luggage from Our Favorite Cashmere Brand

Stewart isn’t the only one who loves Rimowa. Rihanna, Austin Butler, Zendaya, Gigi Hadid, Richard Madden and more celebrities have been spotted rolling the luggage around airports. While we’re sure they love the brand, shoppers seem equally as zealous with the inexpensive version.

“The color adds flair to my travels, it’s super lightweight and those 360-degree spinner wheels are a breeze to maneuver,” writes one five-star reviewer. “Surprisingly durable, too. Highly recommended for style and practicality!”

“I’m super happy with this luggage!” another happy shopper shares. “It looks really sleek and feels sturdy, especially with the reinforced corners, so I don’t have to worry about my stuff getting damaged. The wheels roll like a dream, and it’s so easy to zip through airports now. Plus, the built-in TSA locks are a nice touch for peace of mind.”

We take as many style cues as we can from the one and only Stewart. However, until our budgets allow for investment luggage, we’ll be copying her style with wallet-friendly alternatives.

Sensley is a former college basketball player who played under Hawaii Athletics. The athlete eventually played for The Rio Grande Valley Vipers, an American professional basketball team of the NBA G League based in Edinburg, Texas. The franchise was affiliated with the Houston Rockets.

Sadly, Sensley never got a chance to play in the NBA after he was left undrafted in the 2006 NBA draft.

In an October 2024 episode of her “Get Them LaLa” podcast, Kent, 34, said she previously dated Sensley before he connected with Cartwright.

“I start bringing [Julian] around the group … I would bring him on double dates, group dates, so that’s how Jax and Brittany know him,” Kent said during the podcast. “It was like … Jax, Janet [Caperna]’s husband, Jason [Caperna], and then Julian would go. They would go out and have, like, guys nights and Julian would FaceTime me and it was just a nice distraction.”

Kent and Sensley’s romance, which began after the athlete slid into her Facebook DM after her split from Randall Emmett in October 2021, came to an end after she conducted a “background check” and called things off.

In November 2024, Cartwright set the record straight about her relationship with Sensley.

“[Jax and I] did not have a no dating in the friend group policy,” Cartwright shared on an episode of Bravo’s “Hot Mic” podcast. “We never spoke about that because why would we? First off, I didn’t think I was going to hook up with his friend. It wasn’t planned. I wasn’t trying to go after one of his friends. That’s not how it happened.”

While she admitted to hooking up with Sensley, she made it clear that she is single. Instead, she said she was “going with the flow” and picturing a future with a man who has kids.

Julian Sensley’s Acting Career

Sensley made his acting debut on the small screen thanks to a guest-starring role on Magnum P.I. in 2021. Since then, the actor has gone on to appear on NCIS: Hawaii and episodes of Rescue: Hi-Surf. Both shows are filmed in his home state of Hawaii.

Julian Sensley’s History With Hawaii

Before moving to Los Angeles for his acting career, Sensley was making waves in the Aloha state with his athletic skills. After learning how to surf and bodyboard as a kid, Sensley turned his attention to basketball.

As a high school senior, the student measured 6-foot-9 and 235 pounds with ESPN calling him the “greatest player ever produced in the Islands.”

“I was always pretty big for my age, so they didn’t always know that I was so young,” Sensley told ESPN around 2000. “I was always the youngest. But I could play, I could always play.”

Michelle Trachtenberg was reportedly working on a big project before her untimely death at age 39

Director Casey Tebo told TMZ on Monday, March 3, that Trachtenberg had written a screenplay based on the book Toy Monster: The Big, Bad World of Mattel. According to Tebo, it was one of the best screenplays he’d read and the pair were in talks with a studio to make the potential film a reality.

Toy Monster is an exposé written by Jerry Oppenheimer. The book divulges into the dark side of the toy company behind Barbie, Hot Wheels and more.

Tebo and the studio have reportedly paused the discussions following Trachtenberg’s unexpected passing, according to the director. However, Tebo said he is determined to have the project proceed at some point in honor of the late actress.

Michelle Trachtenberg Was Set to Make SXSW Appearance Before Her Death

Us Weekly confirmed on February 26 that Trachtenberg was found unconscious inside her New York City apartment. Police sources told Us that the incident was not believed to be suspicious. Trachtenberg’s rep later confirmed her death. She was 39.

“It is with great sadness to confirm that Michelle Trachtenberg has passed away,” Trachtenberg’s rep told Us in a statement. “The family requests privacy for their loss. There are no further details at this time.”

Many of Trachtenberg’s former costars and friends took to social media to pay their respects.

“Michelle, listen to me. Listen. I love you. I will always love you,” Sarah Michelle Gellar, who starred in Buffy the Vampire Slayer alongside Trachtenberg, wrote via Instagram in February, quoting a scene between their characters before adding in Trachtenberg’s iconic line from the series’ musical episode: “‘The hardest thing in this world, is to live in it. I will be brave. I will live… for you.’ 💔💔💔🗝.’”

Princess Eugenie, a longtime friend of the late actress, also penned a touching tribute for her pal.

“Goodbye, special friend. You are so loved and missed,” Eugenie, 34, wrote via her Instagram Stories last month. “Thank you for so many memories of laughter and fun. You were so thoughtful and generous and soooo funny.”

Michelle Trachtenberg's Final Instagram Posts Were Hollywood Throwbacks

One day after news broke of her passing, Trachtenberg’s cause of death was officially listed as “undetermined” because her family objected to an autopsy, the city medical examiner’s office told the New York Post.

Multiple sources told Us that Trachtenberg had undergone a liver transplant before her death. It is unclear whether the medical procedure played a role.

Before her passing, Trachtenberg was reportedly expected to make a public appearance at the upcoming SXSW festival in Austin, Texas. Trachtenberg had a role in the film Spyral, which will be screened at SXSW.

Sterling K. Brown’s Wife Ryan Asks Why He Didn’t Save His 'Paradise' Wife

Everyone wants to know why Sterling K. Brown’s Paradise character didn’t try harder to save his wife’s life — including the actor’s real-life spouse.

Ryan Michelle Bathe shared her reaction via TikTok ahead of the Tuesday, March 4, season finale in several videos of her watching the hit Hulu series.

“Why didn’t you tell her not to go to Atlanta? Why you ain’t tell her not to go to Atlanta?” Bathe, 48, asked, to which Brown, also 48, replied off screen, “I told her, ‘Don’t go.'”

Bathe noted that Brown’s character, Xavier, could have done more to ensure his onscreen wife’s survival. “If someone tells me not to go to Atlanta, you should give me more than just, ‘Don’t go’ and a kiss,” she continued. “She is about to lose her life.”

'Paradise' Ending Explained: Who Killed James Marsden's Cal? Who Else Died?

Hulu’s political thriller Paradise, which premiered in January, marks a reunion for Brown and creator Dan Fogelman after their time on This Is Us. Paradise initially appeared to be set in a serene and wealthy community forced to face the realities of a shocking murder. In typical Fogelman fashion, however, there was a twist at the end of the premiere when Paradise was revealed to be an underground bunker housing the world’s most prominent individuals after an apocalyptic event destroyed the rest of humanity.

Through various flashbacks, the audience learned that Xavier knew about the upcoming end of the world and tried to convince his wife not to leave for a trip. She chose to go and was ultimately left to her own devices when President Cal (James Marsden) couldn’t reunite her with Xavier in time.

Paradise’s cast spoke to Us Weekly about how they kept the show a secret before its premiere.

“The biggest lengths [we had to go through to keep the twist secret] are happening now when we’re actually talking to people about it,” Julianne Nicholson told Us in January. “When we were on set, everybody knows what’s up, so we don’t have to be that secretive.”

She continued: “But now the trick is how do you grab people’s attention and assure them that this is something different without giving away any of the details? But we’re very excited for people to get on the ride with us.”

What to Know About 'This Is Us' Creator Dan Fogelman's Mysterious New Show

In addition to the bunker reveal, Marsden’s character was killed off minutes into the premiere. While it was already revealed that Paradise would be following the high stakes investigation into Cal’s death, the first three episodes introduced several suspects who could have benefited from the former president’s death.

“Whenever the scripts would come out, they weren’t secretive. I’ve been on projects in which they would not release the script until you were ready to shoot those pages,” Sarah Shahi shared with Us. “But then this one, they were not selfish with their scripts. The minute one was ready to come out, they would send it over to us.”

Nicholson was thrilled to see the show utilizing Marsden’s skills as an actor, adding, “He’s James Marsden. He is one of the most charming, affable, funny, lovable and handsome people. I think he also has a self-deprecating side of himself that I saw within this character that makes you feel for him.”

All episodes of Paradise are currently streaming on Hulu.

Why Dolly Parton and Late Husband Carl Dean Never Had Kids

Dolly Parton has no regrets about the special family she built with husband Carl Dena.

“My husband and I, when we first got married, we thought about if we had kids, what would they look like?” Parton, 79, shared with The Guardian in December 2014. “Would they be tall — because he’s tall? Or would they be little squats like me? If we’d had a girl, she was gonna be called Carla. We talked about it, and we dreamed it, but it wasn’t meant to be. Now that we’re older? We’re glad.”

Instead of having children of her own, Parton has spent much of her career showcasing her maternal instincts by helping countless children around the world.

In 1995, the “9 to 5” singer launched Imagination Library, a book gifting program that mails free, high-quality books to children from birth to age 5, no matter their family’s income.

Everything Dolly Parton Has Said About Her Late Husband Carl Dean

“God has a plan for everything,” Parton said on the Today show in October 2017 after releasing her first children’s album I Believe In You. “I think it probably was his plan for me not to have kids so everybody’s kids could be mine. And they are now.”

Parton and Dean were married for nearly 60 years before his death was confirmed on Monday, March 3. His cause of death has yet to be revealed. He was 82.

Throughout her marriage to Dean, Parton praised her husband as being “very independent,” allowing her the freedom to build a successful career while standing in the spotlight on her own.

“I think a big part of my whole success is the fact that I was free to work,” she said during a November 2020 episode of Apple TV+’s The Oprah Conversation. “If I hadn’t had the freedom to work, I wouldn’t have done all the things I’ve done. I wouldn’t be in a position to do all of the things I’m doing now.”

While there was a period in Parton’s relationship where she thought kids would be part of her future with Dean, a battle with endometriosis complicated her fertility journey.

A Look Back at Dolly Parton and Husband Carl Dean’s Nearly 60-Year Romance

According to the Mayo Clinic, endometriosis is an often painful condition in which tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus, causing pain, irregular periods and infertility.

Despite her health issue, Parton made it clear prior to her husband’s passing that the pair lived their lives without any regrets.

“I’m very close to my family — five of my younger brothers and sisters lived with me and Carl for many years — and we’re very close to our nieces and nephews,” she told Billboard in October 2014. “Now that Carl and I are older, we often say, ‘Aren’t you glad we didn’t have kids? Now we don’t have kids to worry about.’”

Stars Who Have Spoken About Cocaine Use: Jax Taylor, Demi Lovato and More

4 March 2025 at 10:15

Celebrities from Jax Taylor and Demi Lovato have had high highs and low lows in the public eye, even opening up about their struggles with cocaine.

“I have substance issues primarily with cocaine,” Taylor revealed in March 2025 during an episode of the “Hot Mic” podcast, noting, “It’s hard to say out loud.”

The Valley star explained that he’d been dealing with the addiction “on and off since I was 23.” Taylor recalled having “times where I would stop doing it, but then there were times where I’d go heavy on it.” (At the time of his interview, he was 83 days clean and sober.)

Lovato, meanwhile, has been open about her drug and alcohol issues that have been public since her first stint in rehab in 2010.

Stars Who've Gotten Sober

“My first time doing coke I was 17, working on Disney Channel, and I was with a couple friends and they introduced me to it. I was scared because my mom always told me your heart could just burst if you do it. But I did it anyways and I loved it,” Lovato confessed in 2017’s Simply Complicated documentary.

“Everything I was doing is on my own, but I was just on that train, and I couldn't get off,” Taylor said in the March 2025 podcast, claiming that the Vanderpump Rules producers didn’t know how bad his drug issues were when he was on the show. He explained he doesn’t think he has an “alcohol problem” but said that drinking and doing drugs “go hand in hand” for him.
Taylor confessed, “I can't do cocaine without drinking. So I just gave up both. And I'm proud to say I'm 82, 83 days sober right now.”
“This year, it was probably the hardest year of my life. I would say my father's death was the hardest year until this year,” Taylor reflected. “I'm going through a divorce right now, which is extremely difficult. And that's when Brittany [Cartwright] and I separated. That's when the addiction got worse. I literally lost control. I think at a point [I] hit rock bottom and I had to go to rehab.”

After several seasons on Summer House, Radke stopped drinking in2021. Radke later revealed his past drug use, which hit an all-time high in fall 2020 after his brother Curtis died.
“I went right back into doing drugs and drinking all the time, but I was doing it alone,” Radke recalled of the dark time during a February 2025 appearance on “The Viall Files” podcast. “I would drink all day by myself and do cocaine by myself in my apartment, and, like, call people, text people, say crazy s---. It just was on this downward spiral.”
He recalled doing coke for the first time during a spring break trip to Mexico in college. When his brother died, he did it even more, recalling “holding a jar of cocaine in my hand” while reading an article online about him allegedly coping with Curtis’ death so well. Radke admitted that at that moment he “felt like an imposter.”
“I know five years ago, if you I would have thought I would have ever admitted publicly I had a cocaine problem, you would have been crazy,” he said. “But, now, it's like, let's go.”

The actor began drinking in his youth, revealing on a March 2021 “WTF With Marc Maron” podcast episode that his drinking got worse after his father died in a car accident. “I was an F-up,” he confessed. Allen’s drug and alcohol issues came to a head in 1978 when he was arrested at a Michigan airport with more than a pound of cocaine in his luggage at the age of 23.
The Toy Story star served a little more than two years behind bars for the offense but has since turned his life around. As of 2021 he was 23 years sober. “I just shut up and did what I was told,” Allen said of his prison stay. “It was the first time ever I did what I was told and played the game. I learned literally how to live day by day. And I learned how to shut up. You definitely want to learn how to shut up.”
One year prior, Allen said on The Kelly Clarkson Show, “It doesn’t happen overnight. It’s a day-to-day thing.”

The Iron Man actor was arrested several times between 1996 and 2000 for drug-related charges. In 1996, Downey Jr. was arrested for possession of cocaine, heroin and an unloaded gun and was sentenced to three years’ probation and drug testing. When he was arrested in April 2001, he entered a rehab facility and later pleaded guilty to cocaine possession and sentenced to three years’ probation.
Since becoming sober in 2003, Downey has been vocal about his past struggles, which began as a child since his father allegedly supplied him with drugs. "Not having done drugs for literally five or six years is a lifetime,” he explained during an October 2010 interview with Playboy. "I think of myself as someone who has no desire, use for or conscious memory of that life. And yet I don't shut the door on it, and I don't pretend it didn't happen."

The Aerosmith singer told Dateline in 2011 that during the band’s heyday, in the 1970s and 1980s, they had a cubby off stage to hold their cocaine. “I needed blow,” Tyler said at the time. “I needed cocaine. I needed it.”
He recalled his addiction taking his children and marriages “away” from him. “I was on my knees.” Tyler, who got sober in the mid-80s, later relapsed. Following a binge on cocaine and pills in 2009, he checked into rehab that December. (He became addicted to prescription meds in 2006 while treating hepatitis C.)
Looking back at his darker days, Tyler told Australia’s 60 Minutes that he “realistically” spent “5 or 6” million on drugs “easy.” He joked, “You could also say I snorted half of Peru, but, you know, it's what we did."

Barrymore had a wild childhood after becoming a star when she was just 7 years old. She has been open about doing drugs and drinking at a young age in part because partying was commonplace in her household.
"It really is a recipe for disaster," she said on the September 2018 episode of Norm Macdonald Has a Show of becoming famous so young. "But you know what's exciting? I got my s--- over with at, like, 14. Like, midlife crisis, institutionalized, blacklisted, no family, like, got it done, and then got into the cycle of being my own parent, figuring it out.”
When asked if she missed cocaine, Barrymore said, “No. Oh, God. It’s been a very long time, but no. Nothing would make me have a panic attack and seem like a bigger nightmare.”
She explained, “I drink, I enjoy my life and get out of my own head. It’s not that I’m this militant person of clarity and presence but [cocaine] literally seems like my worst nightmare right now.”

The bestselling author revealed to Rolling Stone in October 2014 that he's “had a drug problem since college.” He recalled drinking at the age of 18 and thinking he was “an alcoholic” around 1978 or 1979. He subsequently began doing drugs. “Yeah, coke. I was a heavy user from 1978 to 1986, something like that,” King said.
“That whole time is pretty hazy to me. I just didn’t use it around people,” he recalled. “And I wasn’t a social drinker. I used to say that I didn’t want to go to bars because they were full of assholes like me.”
King previously discussed his drug addiction during a September 2000 interview with The Guardian. “With alcohol I was just an alcoholic personality. But it was a slow growing thing, compared to the drugs, that is I drank x amount in 1975 and in 1976 it was, maybe, x plus 20,” he said.
“Beer was what I wanted, but if I couldn't get beer, I'd drink anything else really. The drugs were different,” King explained. “With cocaine, one snort, and it just owned me body and soul. Something in my system wanted that, and once cocaine was there it was like the missing link: click. Like when you turn on lights it's on or off, there's no halfway. Cocaine was like my 'on' switch.”

Depp discussed his past drug use during his defamation trial against Amber Heard in 2022. "We've had cocaine together maybe a couple of times," the actor said on the stand, joking, "I once gave Marilyn Manson a pill so that he would stop talking so much."
Heard’s lawyer also read Depp’s alleged text messages about his addiction, one of which reportedly said, “Need more whitey stuff ASAP, brother man. And the E business please. I’m in bad, bad shape. Say nothing to nobody.” Depp explained that “More whitey stuff” was a “reference to cocaine, but there’s nothing here that says that I ingested the drug.”
The text messages were presented as evidence to show Depp’s alleged drug use and how he acted once under the influence. (Depp sued Heard for defamation in 2019 after she wrote an op-ed for the Washington Post and called herself a domestic abuse survivor. Depp won the case and a judge awarded him $15 million in damages. Head appealed the decision and the exes settled the case in December 2022.)

The musician recalled in his December 2024 documentary Elton John: Never Too Late having “mountains of coke coming out of our noses” with John Lennon during their heyday. John recalled someone knocking at the door and Lennon thinking it was the police. The Beatles singer allegedly didn’t believe John when he said it was Andy Warhol so they didn’t let him in, “That was the fun part of cocaine,” John teased.
John previously told Today in October 2019 that he liked doing cocaine because “I could talk” and it was the drug that “opened me up.” (The “Tiny Dancer” singer got clean in 1990 after his friend died from AIDS.)

“I couldn’t go 30 minutes to an hour without cocaine, and I would bring it on airplanes,” Lovato told Access Hollywood in December 2013 after going to rehab three years prior. “I would smuggle it basically and just wait until everyone in first class would go to sleep, and I would do it right there. I’d sneak to the bathroom, and I’d do it. That’s how difficult it got and that was even with somebody [with me]. I had a sober companion, somebody who was watching me 24/7 and living with me [and] I was able to hide it from them as well.”
The singer, who suffered a near-death overdose in 2018, recalled during an August 2022 “Call Her Daddy” podcast that she “started experimenting” with drugs when she was 12 or 13. "I got into a car accident and they prescribed me opiates,” Lovato said. “My mom didn't think she would have to lock up the opiates from her 13-year-old daughter but I was already drinking at that point. I had been bullied and was looking for an escape."
Lovato tried coke for the first time at 17. "And, like, loved it too much and then kinda bled into me going to treatment right after I turned 18.” Lovato revealed in 2021 that she cut out nearly all substances after her 2018 overdose, but not marijuana and alcohol. By 2022, Lovato released an album she said was done while “clean and sober.”

Suvari detailed her ups and downs in her memoir, The Great Peace, which she released in July 2021. In the book, she recalled turning to drugs after being raped. “I took drugs to numb myself from the pain," she wrote. "Alcohol. Pot. Coke. Crystal meth. Acid. Ecstasy. Mushrooms. Mescaline. It was my way of detaching from the hell of my existence — and surviving."

The Jackass star recalled an all-time low with his drug addiction during a January 2019 appearance on In Depth With Graham Bensinger. “I had this drug dealer, he lived very close by … I would go over to [his] house if he didn’t answer my call … sometimes I would show up and the door would be unlocked but he would be, like, passed out, ‘cause he was very much a drug user as well as a dealer,” he explained.
Steve-O recalled a time he went over to the house and found his dealer passed out next to “a very noticeable residue of cocaine” on the table.
“I went over to this table to scrape up a pile of cocaine to snort it, but as I had sat down looking at it, there was, of course, blood had been squirted,” he said, noting the dealer was HIV-positive and had clearly gotten blood on the walls and surrounding area while injecting himself. “You could see, like, the little tiny little blood splatter, ya know, on the residue.”
Steve-O confessed that the blood didn’t deter him from snorting the pile. “This is how desperate and pathetic my addiction was, that I sat there, like, knowingly scraping up this tainted, like, blood cocaine and uh, I sat there and snorted it,” he said. “Which is so f—d up — I snorted the blood of an intravenous drug user.” He didn’t contract HIV after the incident, but revealed he got sober in 2008.

The Parks and Recreation alum detailed her past drug use in her 2014 memoir, Yes Please, including cocaine. "I tried cocaine, which I instantly loved but eventually hated," Poehler wrote. "Cocaine is terrific if you want to hang out with people you don't know very well and play ping-pong all night," she explained. However, "it's bad for almost everything else … the day after cocaine is rough."
Poehler recalled making changes to her lifestyle, which also included cutting down on weed. "I can't perform, drive or write stoned, and therefore I smoke pot a lot less than I used to," she wrote, noting her sons, Archie and Abel, contributed to her new outlook.

Quaid told NBC in 2018 that “there was a completely different attitude” toward cocaine in the 1960s and 1970s when he grew up. “It was even in some movie budgets,” he claimed, noting that the relaxed idea of the drug led to his cocaine addiction in the 1980s.
“I was basically doing cocaine pretty much on a daily basis during the '80s," the Parent Trap actor confessed. "I spent many, many a night screaming at God to 'Please take this away from me and I'll never do it again, cause I've only got an hour before I have to be at work.' Then at 4 o'clock in the afternoon I'd go, 'Oh it's not so bad.'"
Quaid recalled having “a white light experience” where he said, “I saw myself either dead or losing everything that meant anything to me." At the time, he sat down with then-fiancée Meg Ryan and told her he needed help, which he got. "That was the end of the love affair with me and cocaine,” he said. (Quaid and Ryan were married from 1991 to 2001 and share son Jack Quaid.)
