Alyssa Milano Says She’s ‘Heartbroken’ Over Julian McMahon’s Death
Alyssa Milano shared her heartbreak over her Charmed costar Julian McMahon’s death in an emotional tribute.
In a lengthy post shared via Instagram on Friday, July 4, the actress, 52, spoke about her grief after news broke that the Australian actor had died following a private battle with cancer. He was 56.
“I’m heartbroken,” Milano wrote in the lengthy tribute. “Julian McMahon was magic. That smile. That laugh. That talent. That presence. He walked into a room and lit it up—not just with charisma, but with kindness. With mischief. With soulful understanding.”
Milano shared a series of images in the post, which included selfies of the pair as well as photos from their work together. Milano played Phoebe Halliwell in Charmed, while McMahon played her love interest Cole Turner throughout the series.

“We spent years together on Charmed — years of scenes, stories, and so many in-between moments. He made me feel safe as an actor. Seen as a woman. He challenged me, teased me, supported me. We were so different, and yet somehow we always understood each other,” she continued. “Julian was more than my TV husband. He was a dear friend. The kind who checks in. The kind who remembers. The kind who shares. The kind who tells you the truth, even when it’s uncomfortable — but always with love.”
Milano sent her condolences to McMahon’s family in the wake of the tragic news.

“My heart is with Kelly, with Madison, and with Iliana—his girls, his world. He adored them. You could feel it in every conversation, every story, every text. He was a family man above all, and he loved deeply,” Milano wrote.
Concluding the post, Milano added, “Losing him feels unreal. Too soon. Too unfair. Rest, my friend. I’ll carry your laugh with me. Forever Cole. Forever Julian.”

McMahon’s wife, Kelly McMahon, confirmed news of the actor’s passing via a statement to Deadline on Friday, July 4.
“With an open heart, I wish to share with the world that my beloved husband, Julian McMahon, died peacefully this week after a valiant effort to overcome cancer,” Kelly told the outlet via a statement. “Julian loved life. He loved his family. He loved his friends. He loved his work, and he loved his fans. His deepest wish was to bring joy into as many lives as possible. We ask for support during this time to allow our family to grieve in privacy. And we wish for all of those to whom Julian brought joy, to continue to find joy in life. We are grateful for the memories.”

Celebrities are paying tribute to Nip/Tuck and Charmed star Julian McMahon after his death at age 56 following a private cancer battle.
Stars flocked to social media to share heartfelt tributes to the late actor after his wife announced the sad news of his passing via a statement made to Deadline on Friday, July 4.
“With an open heart, I wish to share with the world that my beloved husband, Julian McMahon, died peacefully this week after a valiant effort to overcome cancer,” Kelly told the outlet via a statement.
She added: “Julian loved life. He loved his family. He loved his friends. He loved his work, and he loved his fans. His deepest wish was to bring joy into as many lives as possible. We ask for support during this time to allow our family to grieve in privacy. And we wish for all of those to whom Julian brought joy, to continue to find joy in life. We are grateful for the memories.”

The actor played Cole Turner in 47 episodes of Charmed from 2000 to 2005, and several of his former costars were among those mourning his loss.
“Sad day for our Charmed family!” Brian Krause, 56, wrote alongside a photo of McMahon shared via his Instagram. “Julian was one of the funniest, devilishly handsome and kind souls! Prayers to his family and close friends! He will surely be missed! ”
Sharing an illustrated artwork of McMahon depicted as an angel via her Instagram Story, Rose McGowan, 51, wrote, “Oh Julian, you force of brilliance, wild talent and humor. For you, your family and loving fans all over the world, I pray comfort.”

Meanwhile, Holly Marie Combs, 51, shared a montage of throwback moments of the pair together on Charmed as well as hanging out offset as she commemorated McMahon.
“One of a kind is an understatement. Your unyielding zest for life and crazy making sense of humor will be sorely missed,” she captioned the post. “The joy and laughter you were the direct cause of will always be remembered. I hope you find our lady friend and dance in those rose petals. ”
Alyssa Milano, who played McMahon’s onscreen love interest in the series described his death as “too soon” and “too unfair” in her lengthy tribute.

As well as McMahon’s Charmed costars, the actor’s colleagues from other acting projects also publicly mourned the loss of the star.
Ioan Gruffudd, who worked alongside McMahon on the Fantastic Four movies, also paid tribute.
“This is terribly sad news about Julian,” Gruffudd, 51, wrote. “Even though we played each other’s nemeses, there was always so much lightness and laughter working together. Every encounter with him was a joy.”
He added, “It was an honor to be Dr. Richards to his Dr. Doom. My heart goes out to his wife and family. God speed Julian.”
McMahon’s Nip/Tuck costar, Kelly Carlson, who portrayed his character’s lover interest for seven years uploaded an emotional video via her Instagram as she reacted to the news.
“Oh my gosh, I’m completely shocked and saddened by it,” Carlson, 49, said in the footage. “I didn’t know he wasn’t well for a while.”
Nicolas Cage, who starred alongside McMahon in the recent film, The Surfer, paid tribute in a statement shared with Deadline.
“Such deeply saddening news. I spent six weeks working with Julian, and he was the most talented of actors,” Cage, 61, said in the statement. “Our scenes together on The Surfer were amongst my favorites I have ever participated in, and Julian is one of my favorite people. He was a kind and intelligent man. My love to his family.”

Kelly Clarkson Is ‘Devastated’ as She Postpones Las Vegas Residency
Kelly Clarkson has pulled the plug on her Las Vegas residency at the 11th hour, postponing the opening until a later date in order to protect her voice.
The “Since U Been Gone” singer, 43, made the announcement with a statement shared via her Instagram account on Friday, July 4.
“We have been working 24/7 to make Studio Sessions the most intimate and extraordinary experience with and for my incredible fans,” Clarkson explained in the statement. “I am beyond grateful that you always show up for me and I am devastated to have to postpone tonight and tomorrow’s opening at Caesars. The prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice.”
The post continued: “I want the shows to be perfect for y’all and I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve. The show is truly incredible. The musicians and singers are outstanding, and I want us all to start out strong. I can’t wait to be back next weekend and show y’all what we’ve been working on.”
Kelly Clarkson Will Resume Filming Her Talk Show After Several Absences
Clarkson was due to commence her “Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions – The Las Vegas Residency” at Caesars Palace on Friday, July 4. A total of 18 performances were scheduled until November 15.
The announcement drew mixed reactions from her social media followers, with some voicing concern for her health while others expressed their disappointment at the last-minute notice.

“When you ACTUALLY sing live, you are allowed this grace. Rest that incredible instrument ” wrote one follower, while another added, “Came from Texas to see you! Sending love – rest up and feel better soon!
”
Another wrote, “I’m a huge fan and flew here from Boston spending thousands on tickets and hotels to see your show tomorrow for my 40th birthday. I really want you to be healthy but cancelling this late has such a huge financial impact on your loyal fans ”

Echoing a similar sentiment, another follower commented, “I wish you would’ve done this sooner than 15 mins before doors opening. I hope you feel better.”
The Vegas residency was first announced back in February via a press release.
“I’m so excited to be back in Vegas!” Clarkson said via a statement at the time. “We’re bringing the studio to the stage this time with ‘Studio Sessions!’ See y’all there!”

Kelly Carlson Is ‘Shocked and Saddened’ By Julian McMahon’s Death
Kelly Carlson, who played the onscreen love interest of Julian McMahon in Nip/Tuck, has shared an emotional video reacting to his death at age 56.
The actress, 49, told followers via a video posted via Instagram on Friday, July 4 that she was “shocked and saddened” to learn of her former costar’s death following a private battle with cancer.
“I just heard about the passing of Julian McMahon and I’ve gotten a lot of really nice messages on Instagram and I just checked ‘cause I was just told and I was trying to verify it, right? Because people can say stuff like that, but it looks to be true — and oh, my gosh, I’m completely shocked and saddened by it,” she said in the footage.
“I didn’t know he wasn’t well for a while. But I will say my heart goes out to Kelly, his wife, his daughter and Brooke Burns, his ex-wife, who they remain close friends and raise their daughter together and I think he has a sister…”

Carlson portrayed Kimber Henry on medical drama Nip/Tuck from 2003 to 2010, while McMahon played Christian Troy.
“It’s tough to process a little bit because he played my on-and-off husband for several years, [he] was a good friend and my acting partner,” Carlson added. “Anyways, Jules, thank you for a great seven years on Nip/Tuck together and we had so much fun.”
The actress went on to add that she didn’t blame any fans of the show and of McMahon for feeling equally upset about the news and noted she found solace in the fact he had enjoyed a good life.
“I hope he had a peaceful journey. I wish him a peaceful journey and I know he had a full, great life so that’s a good thing,” she said.
Signing off the video, Carlson concluded, “Alright Jules, we’ll see you on the other side.”
