Sophia Hutchins, Caitlyn Jenner's Longtime Friend, Dead at 29: Report
Sophia Hutchins, Caitlyn Jenner’s longtime friend and manager, has reportedly died following an ATV accident. She was 29.
According to a TMZ report published on Thursday, July 3, Hutchins died following a fatal incident that occurred near Jenner’s home and was pronounced dead on Wednesday morning in Malibu, California.
The outlet reported that Hutchins had been riding an ATV near Jenner’s home when it struck the bumper of a moving car. The impact reportedly forced the ATV and Hutchins 350 feet into a ravine. Hutchins was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene by first responders. Two people in the car that collided with Hutchins were unharmed, according to TMZ. It is unclear whether Jenner was present when the incident occurred.
Us Weekly has reached out to Jenner for comment.
Caitlyn Jenner Says She’ll ‘Never Have a Relationship in the Future’
Jenner and Hutchins first met in 2015 in a pivotal year for the former Olympian: it marked the year that Caitlyn and Kris Jenner’s divorce was finalized and Caitlyn publicly announced her transition to living as a woman.
Hutchins, who was a transgender woman, appeared on several episodes of E! docuseries I Am Cait and also managed Jenner’s business affairs and engagements. The pair also often walked red carpets together.
Due to their close bond, rumors swirled that the pair’s relationship was romantic in nature, but Hutchins told The New York Times in December 2019 that they were “never romantically involved.”

Hutchins added that speculation began to swirl “because we weren’t addressing [the rumours]”.
For her part, Jenner spoke highly of Hutchins in a statement made to The New York Times at the time, telling the outlet Hutchins “has been my best friend, family and confidant. She is one of the top minds in her field. Her value in my life is undeniable. The sky is the limit with her entrepreneurial spirit.”
In an interview with U.K. talk show host Piers Morgan the same year, Hutchins further touched on their close bond.
Celebrity Deaths of 2025: Stars We've Lost
“At the end of the day, Caitlyn and I are family,” she said. “We’re great together in business and we have a great partnership, on the personal side as family, and on the business side, me managing her career and us supporting each other in whatever business ventures we’re involved in together.”
Hutchins also spoke about her friendship with Jenner in 2018 during an appearance on “The Hidden Truth Show” podcast, again denying it was “romantic.”
‘We’re partners in everything we do,” she said. “We’re inseparable, we’re business partners, we live together, we share a dog, we share family, we share a life together.”

Ringo Starr Shares Why He Asked Sam Mendes to Make Changes to Beatles Biopic
Ringo Starr had strong opinions about how he’ll be portrayed in the four upcoming Beatles biopics.
The musician, 84, told The New York Times on Wednesday, July 2 that he spent two days with the director, Sam Mendes, and offered “extensive notes” on the script.
Starr noted that he had feedback surrounding his first wife, Maureen Starkey Tigrett, explaining that the original script didn’t necessarily showcase how they acted in reality.
“He had a writer — very good writer, great reputation, and he wrote it great, but it had nothing to do with Maureen and I,” Starr told the outlet. “That’s not how we were. I’d say, ‘We would never do that.'”
Paul Mescal and Barry Keoghan to Lead Beatles Movies: Side-by-Side Pics
The former couple married in 1965 and had three children together: Zak, 59, Jason, 57, and Lee, 54, before divorcing in 1975.
According to The New York Times, Starr is now content with the way he’ll be portrayed onscreen after going through the script line by line and sharing his feedback with Mendes.
In March, it was officially confirmed that actors Paul Mescal, Barry Keoghan, Harris Dickinson and Joseph Quinn were on board to portray the four members of The Beatles in Mendes’ quartet of movies.

Mescal will play Paul McCartney, Dickinson will play John Lennon, Keoghan is set to play Starr and Quinn will play George Harrison. (Lennon was murdered at age 40 in 1980, while Harrison died of cancer at age 58 in 2001.)
Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live in May, Keoghan, 32, revealed what it was like to meet Starr as he gears up to portray him onscreen.
The actor told Kimmel, 57, that he met Starr at his home and during the talk show, he divulged how nervous he was during the meeting.
Each of the 4 Beatles Will Have Their Own Biopics Coming Soon
“It was sort of one of those moments where you’re in awe and you’re just frozen,” Keoghan said.
Kimmel questioned whether Keoghan was watching Starr play the drums during the visit to his house
“Yeah, I was… And when I was talking to him I couldn’t look at him,” Keoghan admitted. “I was nervous, like right now. He said, ‘You can look at me.’ And again — you’re playing Ringo Starr. My job is to observe and take in kind of mannerisms and study, but I want to humanize him and bring feelings to him, not just sort of imitate him.”
Meanwhile, Starr previously revealed he was looking forward to the new films being released, which are expected to drop in 2028.
“I’m excited that [Mendes] has taken the madness of making four movies at the same time,” the drummer told People in May.

I'm 5'3" — And These 17 Wedding Guest Dresses Fit Like a Glove
I’ve finally hit wedding season, and the most difficult part is finding the right dress without dishing out hundreds every time an invite rolls around. As a 5’3” petite woman, half the dresses I try on are too long or don’t fit properly. After attending five weddings in the past year, I’ve discovered the silhouettes and lengths that work best for those of Us who are shorter than average.
Luckily, we have options — from midi gowns that won’t require alterations, to gorgeous slits and elegant necklines that elongate your body — there’s plenty that can work for you and your body. I found 17 stunning options on Amazon (all under $60), so you can look and feel amazing at your bestie’s wedding without having to drop major money.
I’m 5’3 — And These 17 Wedding Guest Dresses Fit Like a Glove

6. So On Trend: The eye-catching asymmetrical neckline on this figure-hugging gown feels current and trendy, but it’s still sophisticated enough to be worn for years to come.
7. Wedding Season Staple: Strut into any wedding reception with confidence when you wear this striking one shoulder midi dress. The expertly placed ruching and ruffled hem will have you looking and feeling like a supermodel.

9. Our Favorite Pick: The versatility of this midi makes it one of the best picks on our list. The dreamy off-the-shoulder silhouette and shiny satin fabric make it easy to dress up or down with the right accessories.
10. Destination Ready: Limited space makes it difficult to pack for some weddings. Luckily, this silky sheath dress travels well, looks extra sleek and is the ideal length for shorter than average women.
11. Garden Party Nuptials: If the attire on your wedding invite calls for garden-inspired getups, yet you don’t like florals, this tiered mini fits the bill — just choose a pastel color!
12. Highs and Lows: Kind of like a mullet (but much more stylish), high-low dresses were made for short girls because who has time for alterations? The criss-cross neckline adds an extra touch of elegance.
13. Best Dressed: Earn countless compliments in this graceful floral maxi. The tulle adds a whimsical element that other guests will love, and the stretchy bodice ensures you stay comfortable the entire night.
14. Extra Roomy: Form-fitting silhouettes aren’t for everyone. You’ll exude poise when you opt for this flowy batwing dress. Talk about quiet luxury for under $45!

'AJLT' Recap: Who Died? Who Cheated? Are Carrie and Aidan Still Together?
With And Just Like That season 3 hitting the halfway mark, fans are finally getting answers about whose funeral was filmed last summer.
During the Thursday, July 3, episode of the Max series, Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and Harry (Evan Handler) navigate their next steps after his prostate cancer diagnosis, which is still being kept secret from family and friends. Charlotte joins her husband at an appointment to discuss the benefits of undergoing either radiation or surgery. She tries to remain positive — and discreet — while reminding Harry that his odds are optimistic no matter which treatment path he chooses.
Elsewhere, Charlotte’s pal Lisa Todd Wexley (Nicole Ari Parker) is hard at work on her documentary with her “work crush,” Marion (Mehcad Brooks). She declines multiple calls from her husband’s campaign manager in the editing room before turning her phone on silent. Herbert (Chris Jackson) shows up to the office with bad news: Her father had a stroke and died.
When LTW gets home, she calls Charlotte, revealing that she didn’t get to say goodbye to her dad because she was too focused on work. An email then hits LTW’s inbox from Lucille, the manager of her father’s theater, with an invitation to his funeral. The women meet to discuss their very different visions for the service, and Lucille (Jenifer Lewis) chastises LTW for not being there for her dad in his final moments.
'And Just Like That' Funeral Pics: Us Investigates Who Died
The gang all rallies behind LTW at the funeral in New Jersey, including Aidan (John Corbett), who came from Virginia to surprise Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) — more on that later.
Despite LTW’s requests otherwise, Lucille puts a theatrical spin on the memorial, which begins with a song from Pippin. LTW was afforded just three minutes to speak in her father’s honor, bringing Herbert up on stage with her for support.
“I’d like to thank everyone for being here for my father today. … It seems as if my father was always there for this theater that he loved so much, and all of you. He was always there for my family, for me,” she says. “And I just wasn’t there for him in the end. He left before I got there. I wasn’t there.”

Outside of the theater, Herbert’s mother offers some words of wisdom to LTW, noting, “If you’re not by your loved one’s side when they pass, it means that their spirit doesn’t want you there. They want you to remember them the way that they were, not in their final hour.”
Back to Carrie and Aidan. In the aftermath of Carrie’s disastrous visit to Virginia, Aidan makes good on his promise to use the key she gave him to their Gramercy Park home — sort of. Attempting a romantic gesture, Aidan tosses pebbles at Carrie’s window but accidentally smashes it. He vows to get it fixed, but Carrie explains that the historic glass is irreplaceable.
“Why is nothing going my way?” Aidan wonders before telling Carrie about the latest struggle with Wyatt, his youngest son. “Wyatt wouldn’t get on the f***ing airplane [for his wilderness program]. He changed his mind at the gate. We were like, ‘It’s only a week. You’re going.’ And then the whole way home, Kathy’s just sitting in the car in silence and we pull up to the farm and she looks at me right in my face and says, ‘What did we do that was so bad we had to send our kid to the Grand Tetons?’ And she’s crying.”
Aidan tries to get the perfect pane of glass to replace the broken window, but nothing measures up. He bemoans that he “ruined” everything before dropping an even bigger bombshell: He slept with his ex-wife.
“After the airport, she was just so upset, I mean, we both were. I guess we were just trying to comfort each other. It just happened. And it was a mistake, we both said so. It will never, ever happen again,” he tells Carrie.
Breaking Down Every ‘And Just Like That’ Love Interest From 'SATC' Revival
Even more surprising than the revelation was Carrie’s reaction to it. “I kind of understand. Or I don’t know, maybe I’m in shock,” she says. “No, I do. I understand how that could happen.”
Aidan apologizes for betraying Carrie. “We agreed to wait for each other and I slept with someone else,” he explains, confused by her response.
“Well, I didn’t agree to that,” Carrie replies. “[I agreed] that I would be here waiting until you could be with me. … You expected me not to sleep with anyone else for five years? That’s what you agreed to and even you couldn’t do it.”
Aidan breaks down, but Carrie remains calm. “Oh, my God, this is so male. Or medieval, I don’t know. My mind is just racing,” she says. “Sleeping with Kathy because you were upset, I understand. I’m just having a harder time understanding why we have not had this discussion until now. … I don’t want to sleep with other people. I want to sleep with you. And I still want that.”
The couple attempts to move forward, but tension surfaces once again when Aidan meets Carrie’s neighbor, Duncan (Jonathan Cake), who stops by to drop off a chapter of his next biography. Aidan leaves, putting the manuscript on the table for Carrie.
And Just Like That airs on Max Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET.

Rihanna and ASAP Rocky's Son RZA, 3, Studies French on Family Road Trip
Rihanna and ASAP Rocky’s son RZA is nurturing his foreign language skills at an early age — or at least trying to!
The pregnant “Umbrella” singer took to Instagram on Thursday, July 3 to share several images of her two sons, RZA, 3, and Riot, 23 months, as they embarked on a family road trip.
In the photos, RZA was in the backseat holding a French language workbook that is designed for children aged 5 and 6. RZA’s face was obscured by the book, while brother Riot could be seen relaxing with a pacifier in his mouth.
“They so over me on this lil road trip,” Rihanna, 37, captioned the post. For his part, A$AP Rocky, 36, pointed out RZA’s workbook, commenting, “RZA man learning French.” He added three crying laughing emojis alongside the comment.
Rihanna and ASAP Rocky's Family Album With 2 Sons: Photos
Rihanna and Rocky, who started dating in 2021 after being friends for years, are expecting their third child. They revealed the news at the Met Gala in May.
“It feels amazing, you know,” Rocky told the Associated Press of Rihanna’s pregnancy at the time. “It’s time that we show the people what we was cooking up. And I’m glad everybody’s happy for us ’cause we definitely happy, you know.”
Rihanna previously spoke candidly about how much she loved seeing the rapper as a father.
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar in February, Rihanna told the outlet that the “greatest thing” about her partner “is seeing him be a dad.”
However, she joked she has one minor gripe with how well he’s handling fatherhood: how much the kids adore him.
“I’m annoyed because my sons sometimes just live for him more than they live for me,” she said. “And I’m like, ‘Did you know who cooked you? Do you know who pushed you out?’ And they love him, but when I see it, oh, it’s the best.”

Rocky also has a lot of love and respect for Rihanna, and has complimented her in several interviews — including when speaking to Billboard in August 2024.
“[The relationship] is going great,” the “Purple Swag” singer said. “I don’t think there’s a more perfect person because when the schedules are hectic, she’s very understanding of that. And when the schedule’s freed up, that’s when you get to spend [the] most time together. It’s all understanding and compatibility.”
Speaking to GQ in 2021, Rocky shared a similar sentiment as he confirmed their relationship and described the singer as “The One.”
“So much better when you got The One,” the rapper gushed to the outlet. “She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones. … I think when you know, you know. She’s The One.”
