Fever Star Sophie Cunningham Denies Affair With Mercury CEO

21 May 2025 at 11:20

UPDATE: 5/21/25 at 2:27 p.m. ET — Sophie Cunningham has released a statement denying she had an affair with Phoenix Suns and Mercury CEO Josh Bartelstein.

“I am deeply saddened by the recent false accusations made against me by Gene Traylor, someone I do not know and have never met,” she wrote via X. “Let me be clear his statements are untrue and extremely hurtful.”

She continued: “I am here to compete, play basketball at the highest level and win for my team and my fans, while inspiring other women that they can do or be anything they ever dream of becoming. I hold myself to the highest integrity and my values are what guide me on and off the court. To the media who reported on this, I have always spoken the truth and been transparent with any press inquiry. In this instance it feels irresponsible that I was never asked for a comment about the accusation before several clickbait stories went to print.”

Cunningham concluded, “I will not let untrue gossip take my focus away from what is most important to me, which is basketball, my supportive team and my fans.”

Original story:

The Phoenix Suns have denied a claim that team CEO Josh Bartelstein had an affair with the Indiana Fever’s Sophie Cunningham.

The Suns and the WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury share ownership, and Cunningham, 28, played for the Mercury from 2019 to 2024.

“The recent reports concerning Josh Bartelstein and Sophie Cunningham are entirely false and morally reprehensible,” Suns spokesperson Stacey Mitch told Front Office Sports in a story published Tuesday, May 20. “Let’s be absolutely clear about the origin of these claims.”

The report came from a lawsuit filed by Gene Traylor, the Suns’ former director of security, against the team, in which he accused the Suns of racial discrimination and claimed the franchise ignored major security concerns. Traylor’s suit alleged that the team’s vice president of security and risk management, Cornelius Craig, was hired to get rid of him.

To illustrate Craig’s alleged erratic behavior, Traylor claimed that Craig was telling people, “Josh Bartelstein is f***ing Sophie Cunningham.”

Us Weekly has reached out to Cunningham for comment.

Mitch added that Sheree D. Wright, the attorney behind the lawsuit, is also representing the plaintiffs in three additional suits against the Suns.

In a separate statement to ESPN on May 15, a Suns spokesperson called the allegations against the organization “delusional and categorically false.”

Celebrity Couples Who Stayed Together After Cheating Scandals

“The Supreme Court of Arizona has twice disciplined attorney Sheree Wright for committing numerous violations of the rules of professional conduct, and she is currently serving a two-year probation with the State Bar of Arizona,” the statement read.

Wright and Courtney Walters, the other attorney representing Traylor, responded to the statement by accusing the Suns of resorting “to personal and defamatory attacks” against Wright in a “transparent and calculated attempt to shift the public narrative, discredit the attorneys involved, and avoid accountability for their own misconduct.”

Mitch told Front Office Sports that Wright is attempting to “coerce” the organization into settling.

“Sheree Wright will not extort our organization and never see a single dollar,” she said.

The Mercury drafted Cunningham with the 13th overall pick in the 2019 WNBA Draft. A consistent contributor for Phoenix during her six seasons with the club, she wound up in Indiana via a four-team trade in February that sent All-Star Satou Sabally to the Mercury.

Now playing alongside Caitlin Clark, Cunningham told Us in March that she is focused on empowering the women of the WNBA as the league continues to grow.

“To me, it’s not about competition,” she said. “I’m all about empowering other women. I’m about helping my teammates be their best selves. I’m all about being my best self. And I just feel like that if we can do that together, then great things are gonna happen.”

Mormon Wives' Mikayla Opens Up About Being Sexually Abused as a Child

21 May 2025 at 11:19

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Mikayla Matthews claims she was sexually abused by multiple individuals when she was a child.

“I feel like it’s hard … to pinpoint an age of where it all started because I did open up [during season 2 of Mormon Wives] about being sexually abused, and that happened before we moved to Utah,” Matthews, 25, said on the Wednesday, May 21, episode of “The Squeeze” podcast. “I don’t know what age I was, anywhere from, I’m guessing 6, 7 [or] 8.”

Matthews and her six siblings were raised in California until their parents divorced and her now-estranged mother moved them to Utah. (The reality TV star has not publicly shared who allegedly assaulted her in her early childhood.)

According to Matthews, another incident occurred after she moved to Utah with an unidentified man she claimed was “definitely touchy with [her].”

“Now thinking back, I was already being sexually abused before, and so I didn’t quite get it,” she recalled. “I was still pretty young. I think when I was probably 11 or 12, I started to notice a little bit more that it wasn’t OK, but I still hadn’t told anybody about it.”

According to Matthews, “a lot of” the abuse occurred when her mom would go to work.

“She worked late and early, so she would go to the back room and take a nap or whatever,” Matthews claimed. “And I would be left alone with [this man] … or we would come over to ride his four-wheelers and he’d be like, ‘If you want to ride the four-wheeler, you have to do this first for me.’ She never saw any of that, and I never told her.”

Matthews first spoke to her siblings about the alleged abuse in 2015 when she was 15 years old shortly before she left home.

“I moved out down to my friend’s house and my [older] sister moved out with me,” Matthews recalled. “I feel like that’s another time period in my life that I blocked out a lot of it. It was, like, another part of my brain shut off.”

Matthews only started to understand the nature of what she called her “sexual trauma” when she started seeing a therapist during filming for Mormon Wives season 2.

“I went to a sexual trauma therapist who was telling me about the shame you get growing up around sex, in general,” she explained to podcast host Tay Lautner. “I think it’s very common in a lot of households, but also in Mormon culture. You don’t talk about sex.”

According to Matthews, the shame of hiding the alleged abuse also “carried over into [her] marriage.” (Matthews married husband Jace Terry when they were 16 and 21, respectively, after she got pregnant with their first child. They are now expecting baby No. 4.)

“That’s been one of the hardest parts of our marriage ‘cause you don’t realize it’s happening,” she said. “You’re so young, you’re not processing it, and then you are raised up with … [this] circumstance of ‘This isn’t for me. It’s for somebody else’s pleasure.’”

Matthews ultimately distanced herself from her mom after she got pregnant at age 16.

“I see her here and there, [but] she moved further away,” Matthews said on the podcast. “After my grandpa passed away, she still comes to take care of my grandma every two weeks, but we don’t really see her unless it’s for holidays or we have a birthday. That’s not a conversation we’ve ever had. … I don’t think I’m ever going to have that conversation and, I think, I’m OK with that now.”

Us Explains: WNBA Racism Investigation After Angel Reese-Caitlin Clark Game

21 May 2025 at 11:19

The WNBA is investigating allegations of “hateful fan comments” made during the season-opening Chicago Sky vs. Indiana Fever game in Indianapolis on Saturday, May 17. The league did not call out specific players, but it is believed the alleged comments were directed toward second-year Sky star Angel Reese.

“The WNBA strongly condemns racism, hate and discrimination in all forms — they have no place in our league or in society. We are aware of the allegations and are looking into the matter,” the league said in a statement on Sunday, May 18.

The game, which the Fever won 93-58, was one of the most anticipated early-season matchups on the schedule, with Reese, 23, facing off against Caitlin Clark. As the two stars of the 2024 rookie class and former opponents in the 2023 NCAA championship game, their growing rivalry has become one of the most exciting story lines in the WNBA.

Keep scrolling for everything you need to know about the WNBA’s investigation and the rest of the fallout from the Sky-Fever game.

Caitlin Clark Dishes No-Look Pass to Angel Reese in WNBA All-Star Game

The Key Players

Clark, 23, is a point guard for the Indiana Fever who was selected No. 1 overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft. Reese, 23, is a forward for the Chicago Sky who was selected 7th overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft. The two players faced off in the 2023 NCAA women’s championship game, where Reese’s LSU Tigers beat Clark’s Iowa Hawkeyes 102-85.Clark and Reese have both downplayed their perceived rivalry, saying there is no animosity between them.

“Me and Caitlin Clark don’t hate each other,” Reese said last season. “I want everybody to understand that. It’s just a super competitive game.”

Clark also addressed their rivalry during her 2023 NCAA Tournament run with the Iowa Hawkeyes, saying she and Reese “have always been great competitors.”

Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese’s College Basketball Dynamic Explained

“Obviously she played in the Big Ten for a while to begin her career, and that’s what makes women’s basketball so fun is you have great competition, and that’s what we’ve had all year long,” she added.

It’s only natural, however, that fans would manufacture a rivalry between the two. Reese made her now infamous “can’t see me” gesture at Clark during the final moments of her LSU Tigers’ championship game win over Iowa, only adding fuel to the fire.

When the two entered the WNBA, they quickly emerged as the best two rookies in the league and were involved in a competitive Rookie of the Year race before Clark charged ahead late in the season and Reese suffered a season-ending injury.

The Gist

We don’t know what exactly the WNBA alleges was said, but the incident came during a game in which Clark and Reese had a brief altercation.

In a rare show of tension between the two, Clark was issued a flagrant 1 foul in the third quarter. Reese had secured an offensive rebound before Clark slapped at the ball and knocked her to the ground when she had a clean look at the basket. When Reese got up, she appeared to try and confront Clark before teammates stepped in.

The players themselves say they did not hear the comments, but media and fans alike reported hearing racial insults directed at Reese.

Why It’s a Big Deal

After multiple incidents last year of players reporting racist or threatening treatment from fans, the WNBA launched its No Space for Hate campaign at the beginning of the 2025 season.

In one instance, DiJonai Carrington, then of the Connecticut Sun, inadvertently poked Clark in the eye during a 2024 game. Even after both players acknowledged it was an accident, Carrington, 27, said she received death threats, assault threats and racist comments from fans.

Reese also alleged that fans last season either followed her home or showed up at her house to threaten her. She also said fans used AI to share fake nude photos of her on social media.

The WNBA touts its “No Space for Hate” campaign as “a multidimensional platform designed to combat hate and promote respect across all WNBA spaces — from online discourse to in-arena behavior.”

“We believe that basketball can be a unifying force — a place where people from all walks of life come together not just to watch a game, but to connect,” WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert said in a statement last week. “We want our arenas, and our social platforms filled with energy and fandom — not hate and vitriol.”

What People Are Saying

Clark met with the media on Tuesday, May 20, before the Fever faced the Atlanta Dream and expressed her support for the WNBA’s investigation.

“There’s no place for that in our game, there’s no place for that in society,” she said. “Certainly, we want every person who comes into our arena — whether player or fan — to have a great experience. I appreciate the league doing that [investigation]. I appreciate that the Fever organization has been at the forefront of that.”

Reese also spoke out, crediting the WNBA for stepping in.

“Obviously, there’s no place in this league for that,” she said after practice on Tuesday. “I think the WNBA and our team and our organization have done a great job supporting me. I’ve had communication from everyone, from so many people across this league.

“Going through this process, obviously if it could happen to me, it could happen to anyone,” she added. “I think they’ve done a great job supporting us in this.”

Aliyah Boston, the Fever player who stepped between Reese and Clark during their scuffle, told reporters “no type of hate is ever welcomed here.”

“We, as athletes, have to make sure that fans know it’s OK to be passionate, to cheer us on, to get loud,” she said. “But at the end of the day, it’s about respect. If it was your daughter out on the court, you would want that respect being shown. That has to be the mindset for every fan when they step into an arena.”

What’s Next

Both teams have expressed their support for the investigation, which is ongoing. When it concludes, it will be on the league and the Fever to determine what — if any — action it should take against the fan or fans involved.

The Fever and Sky will meet again on June 7 in Chicago. The Sky will make two more trips to Indianapolis, facing Indiana on the road August 9 and September 5.

Why The View’s Whoopi Goldberg Hasn’t Worn a Bra in 50 Years

21 May 2025 at 11:12

No bra? No problem for Whoopi Goldberg.

During the Tuesday, May 20, episode of The View, Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin and Alyssa Farah Griffin found themselves discussing the ideal way to put on the undergarment.

“You know what I feel like doing right now?” Behar, 82, asked her cohosts. “I feel like letting these girls loose. Back up.”

After causing the audience to erupt into laughter, the comedian proceeded to share a surprising revelation. According to Behar, her longtime friend and cohost doesn’t wear a bra.

Whoopi Goldberg Doesn’t See the Big Deal About Working Out in Jeans

“[Whoopi] liberated those girls a long time ago,” she said with a laugh. While Hostin, 56, was quick to describe bras as “torture devices,” Goldberg, 69, explained why they weren’t for her.

“I don’t wear one. I have not worn a bra in 50 years,” she explained during a “Hot Topics” segment. “It’s too uncomfortable, and I don’t mind if they hit the floor! They’re mine.”

Goldberg proceeded to get up from her chair and joke about what she does when her breasts get too low.

“This is what you do. You’re walking and then you go, ‘Hey girl,’” she joked while pretending to kick an object from the ground up to her body.

When Griffin, 35, asked where she puts her microphone on for every live show, Goldberg pointed to her underwear, which appeared to be a black tank top.

The conversation sparked after The View played a clip from the “Reasonably Shady” podcast, where The Real Housewives of Potomac stars Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon debated about the correct method of putting on a bra.

While Goldberg’s latest fashion revelation may come as a surprise to some, the Oscar winner has been open about her philosophy on clothes. Although she likes to get dressed up for special occasions like the Met Gala or an awards show, most of her days are focused on comfort.

“I wish I could tell you it’s deep like that, but it’s not,” she told People in March when asked about her fashion point of view. “If it fits and it’s comfortable, I put it on.”

'The View' Cohosts Slam Body-Shamers Who Judged Selena Gomez's Appearance

She reiterated her philosophy during an appearance on Good Morning America in 2018.

“I’ve spent all of my career being comfortable, and people used to get very mad at me because I would wear sneakers to really important kind of things,” she shared. “I would see people looking really pained at these things. I’d be comfortable as hell.”

How Love Is Blind’s Ashley Found Out Truth About Tyler's Sperm Donor Kids

21 May 2025 at 11:11

Love Is Blind alum Ashley Adionser’s estranged husband, Tyler Francis, wasn’t completely forthcoming with her about his relationship to his “sperm donor babies.”

“There’s so much more to this story than is public knowledge, and because he kept lying, I had to do my own research,” Ashley, 32, said on the Wednesday, May 21, episode of the “What’s the Reality?” podcast. “I had to resort back to old detective habits and search this man’s computer.”

She continued, “When I searched that computer, I found the mother lode on more than one thing. Not just this topic.”

Ashley and Tyler, 34, got engaged sight unseen on season 7 of Love Is Blind. After meeting in person, Tyler admitted that he is the biological father of three children conceived via sperm donation. He continually asserted that he wanted to help a friend, who identifies as a lesbian, have children and that he wasn’t involved in the kids’ lives. (The children’s mother, however, has since claimed he is a present figure. Tyler denied the accusations.)

Love Is Blind’s Ashley Got Apology DM From Woman Tyler Donated Sperm To

Ashley stuck by Tyler’s side throughout the drama before eventually realizing that his alleged lies were too much. She announced their split in January and noted on Wednesday’s episode that she finally filed for divorce six months later.

In doing her due diligence on the matter, Ashley said that she found a “series of Google Meet chats” between Tyler and his friend that spanned multiple years. (Us Weekly reached out to Tyler for comment about Ashley’s claims, which he has not publicly addressed.)

“What I will say is they both created such a messy, messy, messy, messy situation by their actions and how they went about things from beginning to end,” Ashley claimed, without revealing what was included in the messages. “There is major complexity of how those children were conceived.”

Ashley further alleged that Tyler’s friend was aware that he planned to join Love Is Blind before the season aired in fall 2024.

“He told me that he hadn’t seen her or [the kids] in years,” Ashley said. “But, in all actuality, he had seen her and the kids the day before he left, so I had no idea about that at all.”

'Love Is Blind' Stars Ashley and Tyler's Relationship Timeline

Now that Ashley has healed from their breakup, she believes that Tyler was “in no way shape or form” ready to get married.

“He should have never went on the show,” Ashley stated, claiming that Tyler “presented” himself as being ready to tie the knot. “This was a mind[f***] for me, big time, trying to rationalize how he slipped through the cracks. He presented himself as that man during filming, to the point that everybody loved him. He’s very charismatic … [and] he seemed like he was ready for an honest marriage.”

Ashley also claimed that Tyler told the Love Is Blind production team that he fathered children via sperm donation before filming began.

“He did tell me that he did tell the casting producers and whatever that he was a sperm donor,” she said. “Honestly, it’s his word against hers at this point, because [there’s] no proof if no one was there — if no one was right there in the room with you all. … I think that’s how he slipped through, by probably deleting everything, and maybe his mom’s [social media] page was private or whatever, I don’t know.”

Australian Pro Tennis Player Nick Kyrgios to Star in OnlyFans Reality Show

21 May 2025 at 11:07

OnlyFans stars are taking center stage in a new reality show.

Smash City, which launches on OFTV in June, is set to be hosted by Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios and Too Hot to Handle’s Sophie Stonehouse. The four-episode pickleball-based competition series will be refereed by 2022 AVN Hall of Fame adult actress Rachel Starr.

Eight OnlyFans stars — Nathan Webb, Joey Joy, Adi Spiegelman, Sachia Vickery, Nellie Cronen, Kayla Fitzgerald, Trippie Bri and Steph Mi — will compete for $20,000. Complex reported that the first episode of the series has contestants play pickleball against each other with oversized bats, while in another game, the players participate in “pickleball pong” with massive cups.

“I was super excited when they told me the idea,” Kyrgios told Complex in an interview published on Monday, May 19. “I’ve hosted a couple TV shows in the past, and at this point in my career, I’m always looking to do things outside the box. So I was all for it, and it was a lot of fun for sure. I enjoyed hosting it, and I love competition in general. Pickleball for me is very close to tennis, so that instantly caught my interest.”

‘The Perfect Match’ Trailer Drops: What to Know About the Netflix Series

Kyrgios became an OnlyFans star in December 2023, using the platform to showcase his life with followers rather than sharing intimate content. However, he’s not judgmental of creators who opt to.

“When I meet people, I don’t necessarily think about what they do straight away,” Kyrgios told the outlet. “When people meet me, obviously, they know that I’m a tennis player. But you know, I had conversations with all these people, and they all have different journeys. And I think this is just a part of my journey where we collaborated and we did something really cool together.”

Kyrgios noted that it’s a “step out of [his] comfort zone,” but it’s “exactly where [he wants] to be.”

“All these different people are amazing in their own way. I started playing tennis, and now, I was able to do a TV show with some pretty crazy people, and it turned out awesome,” he said. “I enjoy being outside my comfort zone, and it felt extremely comfortable being there and hosting with Rachel. I think we all had a lot of fun and became good friends at the end of the day. And I think that’s what it’s about.”

Smash City launches on OFTV June 13.

Jessica Simpson Through the Years: Photos

21 May 2025 at 11:01

Jessica Simpson has come a long way since introducing herself to the world as a young singer with memorable pipes.

Simpson made her mark with songs such as “I Wanna Love You Forever, “Irresistible,” “With You” and “Take My Breath Away” at the turn of the century. After marrying longtime boyfriend Nick Lachey in October 2002, the couple made the transition to reality TV with MTV’s Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica. The actress won over viewers with her string of laughable one-liners.

She tried her hand at acting, appearing in The Dukes of Hazzard, Employee of the Month, Blonde Ambition and other films, before finding her niche by launching her highly successful clothing collection.

Simpson separated from Lachey in 2005 and went on to date John Mayer and Tony Romo before getting engaged to Eric Johnson in 2010. They welcomed kids Maxwell and Ace in 2012 and 2013, respectively, before tying the knot in 2014. Their youngest child, daughter Birdie, was born in 2019.

After sparking split speculation in late 2024, the spouses officially announced their separation after 10 years of marriage in January 2025.

Simpson revealed in her memoir, Open Book, that she was sexually abused at age 6 while sharing “a bed with the daughter of a family friend.” She described the experience as “extremely uncomfortable,” and recalled worrying that she was at fault. Simpson also admitted that she became dependent on alcohol and pills while coping with the trauma, writing, “I was killing myself.” She became sober in November 2017. In her book, she also looked back on her relationships with Lachey, Mayer and other exes.

To celebrate her 10th anniversary with Johnson in May 2020, Simpson wrote via Instagram, “I let him in and never let him leave. He is mine, I am his…forever.” Six weeks later, the couple celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary. “I married my perfect soulmate. Our unity was written in God’s sky of colliding stars,” the author gushed.

During a Today show appearance in April, the "Where You Are" songstress said she'd developed a better relationship with her body than she'd had in years after throwing out her scale. “She wants to set a great example for her children and be a role model to them,” a source told Us the following month. “With them getting older, they’re going to go through body changes soon, so she just wants to make sure she can properly educate them on what being healthy really means.”
In July, Simpson and Johnson celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary. The Yale alum marked the occasion by sharing never-before-seen photos from the ceremony via Instagram. “Jessica, I love you,” he wrote. “7 years into marriage and you still make me laugh just as hard as day one. I had fun yesterday celebrating us. Our kids bring us so much joy and they could not be luckier to have such a fiercely empowered, unique, beautiful mama. I love you, babe!!! Happy Anniversary!”

In January, Simpson reflected on how it felt to reclaim her name after buying her business back the previous year. "My name was on it,” she told Bloomberg at the time. “I don’t ever move away from my name.” The company had been sold in 2015 to Sequential Brand Group Inc., but Simpson and her mother were able to buy the brand back after Sequential declared bankruptcy in August 2021.
After regaining control, the Employee of the Month star planned to invest as much time, energy and money into her business as possible. “I am draining my bank account,” she explained during an April appearance on The Real. “I have no working credit card. It’s OK. I will pay in cash. I went to Taco Bell the other day and my card got denied. I’m on a budget, ladies!” Despite the sacrifices, however, Simpson was happy to be back in charge. "I’m the person that you get mad at at the blackjack table," she added. "I’ll put it all out there if it’s me that’s driving the show, because I believe in myself and I know what I can do. And I know that nothing will stop me, and if you try to stop me, I’ll try harder.”

© Courtesy of Jessica Simpson

In honor of her 43rd birthday, Simpson posted a selfie sans makeup, admitting she “curled” her lashes for the look. The makeup-free snap came one week after she addressed the rumors that she was using Ozempic to help maintain her figure.
“Oh Lord … it is not [Ozempic],” she told Bustle in a July 2023 interview. “It’s willpower. Do people want me to be drinking again? Because that’s when I was heavier. Or they want me to be having another baby? My body can’t do it.”

Simpson hinted that her marriage was on the rocks while teasing her new music. “This comeback is personal, it’s an apology to myself for putting up with everything I did not deserve 🎶 🎼 🤍🖤,” she wrote via Instagram in November 2024.
Later that month, a source exclusively told Us that the pair — who were both spotted without their wedding rings — were “living separately” while “trying to figure out a separation without disrupting their kids’ lives as much as possible.”
A second source told Us that Simpson was “heartbroken” and that the breakup was “not an easy decision for her.”

Simpson and Johnson officially announced their split in January 2025. “Eric and I have been living separately navigating a painful situation in our marriage,” she told Us in a statement at the time. “Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them. We are grateful for all of the love and support that has been coming our way, and appreciate privacy right now as we work through this as a family.”
The two remained cordial amid the split, as Simpson told People the following month that Johnson was “still very much a part of my life and will always be.” She also shared in an interview with The Cut that her ex was supportive of her new music, stating, “It is a gift. Eric supported that gift. My kids supported that gift.”
Simpson dropped her first song in 15 years, “Use My Heart Against Me,” in February 2025 and released her Nashville Canyon, Pt. 1 EP the following month. After making her return to the stage shortly before her record’s release, Simpson made her first TV appearance in 15 years on the season 23 finale of American Idol. She performed two tracks, including her new song “Blame Me” and her cover of Nancy Sinatra’s “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’” with contestant Josh King.

Love Is Blind’s Amber Gets Real About Her ‘Unaesthetic’ Postpartum Body

21 May 2025 at 10:45

New mom Amber Pike is struggling to fully accept her postpartum body.

The Love Is Blind alum, who welcomed a baby girl with husband Matt Barnett in April, got real about her linea nigra — a dark, vertical line that typically appears on the abdomen during pregnancy — in a post shared via Instagram on Tuesday, May 20.

Displaying her postpartum figure in a photo and video labeled “unaesthetic mom things,” Pike, 33, wrote, “Constantly being ocd triggered because your linea negra [sic] is crooked and not centered on your belly button.”

The caption for her Instagram post continued: “There’s a lot about my body that has changed with pregnancy obviously, and I do think I’ve coped with most of it pretty well because I accepted early on that having my baby girl would mean being remade into a new person — what I wasn’t ready for is one of those changes being irritatingly crooked! Don’t get me wrong, I can handle the new markings, but I’m the kind of person that likes things even and balanced… so the fact that my linea negra [sic] is so close to being straight down the middle but is just slightly off centered drives me nuts.”

“I know it’s just a small thing and so dumb but it’s become a pet peeve nonetheless,” she added. “Is there anything that changed for yall with pregnancy that’s not really a big deal but still manages to annoy you, or is it just me?”

Followers flocked to the comments section of Pike’s post, with one writing, “Even and balanced just like your bedroom organization. Welcome to the TYPE C MOM club, we are proud to have you babe!”

Pike responded to the messy room comment: “lmfao when it’s good, it’s great… when it’s not… it’s reallyyyyy notttt.”

She also replied to a fan who mentioned a decline in oral health after welcoming babies.

“Oof yesss, I’m honestly dreading having to go back to the dentist and hear what they say after 9 months of vomiting nonstop from the HG,” Pike shared.

Another fan noted that the crooked linea nigra would “bug” her too, with Pike responding, “Thanks so much babe, the random ocd struggles be cray.”

According to the Cleveland Clinic, “the linea nigra is caused by an increase in hormones and fades once your baby is born.”

Pike has been open about her postpartum journey over the last six weeks. On April 27, she shared another “unaesthetic mom thing”: her shoes not fitting due to her swollen feet.

“So I’m realizing there’s a lot that people glaze over about having a baby, like how people may mention your feet swelling when pregnant but… they forget to explain that could mean having to replace all your favorite shoes,” she wrote via Instagram alongside photos of her feet in sandals. “Ngl I’m pretty disappointed that the @rainbowsandals that I spent years and innumerable blisters breaking in so that they were molded perfectly to my feet now leave my toes hanging over the edge. The odds of having to replace your entire shoe closet after birth may be low, but they’re never zero.”

Pike also shared a candid post on Mother’s Day about her pregnancy and birth story, deeming it “the most intense hazing experience.”

“From being told that I wouldn’t be able to get pregnant, to being told that if I did it would likely be a still birth, to twice weekly infusions and injections for thirty weeks, to all of the scares and testing, to finally having a healthy happy baby in my arms that is literally the most precious thing I’ve ever encountered — I feel like I’ve been through the most intense hazing experience ever but have finally made it to the other side and feel so honored and blessed to be in this league of extraordinary moms,” she shared. “From the outside looking in I thought I knew what it was all about, but now that I’m here… I don’t just know — I understand. Happy Mother’s Day to all my fellow Mamas.”

Barnett, 34, shared a Mother’s Day dedication to his wife on May 11, writing that “becoming a mother wasn’t easy” for Pike.

He added, “And being a new mom can be crazy exhausting, but you show amazing strength every day and I’m proud to have you as the mother of our beautiful little girl. You truly are the best mom! Happy Mother’s Day! @atypicalamber.”

Pike and Barnett met and tied the knot on season 1 of Love Is Blind, which was filmed in Georgia in late 2018 but aired in February 2020. Ever since the pair got married on TV, they have offered supporters a glimpse into their relationship on social media but have chosen not to be a part of any Love Is Blind reunions.

“We are together IN SPITE of that show not because of it,” Pike shared via Instagram in 2023, adding, “I told them to stay away from us.”
