“I think I was in, like, dreamland. So, it was pretty … it seemed pretty fun the whole time,” Portman said of getting to know Millepied during a June 2018 interview on Sirius XM’s Town Hall.
Portman thanked Millepied while accepting the Oscar for Best Actress for her performance in Black Swan in 2011. At the time, she and Millepied were engaged and expecting their first child together. The couple welcomed their son, Aleph, in June 2011, and went on to tie the knot in August 2012. Their daughter, Amalia, was born in 2017.
The two worked together again on the 2018 film Vox Lux, in which Portman starred as fictional pop star Celeste Montgomery. Millepied choreographed her dance scenes.
Five years later, Us Weekly confirmed that the pair had separated after 11 years of marriage. Their split news came shortly after rumors spread that Millepied had been unfaithful. Their divorce was finalized in March 2024.

The couple met on the set of Portman’s film Black Swan, for which Millepied was a choreographer. “It was, like, I really got to know him and then that is when it seemed, ‘Oh, right, this is the person,’” she shared during a June 2018 interview on Sirius XM's Town Hall.
They began dating soon after.
The duo announced they were engaged and expecting their first child together. “The pregnancy was a bit of a shock,” an insider close to Portman told Us in January 2011. “He proposed after they found out. They are happy, and all is right.”
Portman and Millepied welcomed their first child together, son Aleph, in June. “I love being a mum, but it’s much more intensive work than being an actress – going to work feels like you’ve got a day off,” the No Strings Attached actress told Elle UK in September 2013.
Millepied sang his wife’s praises when asked about her portrayal of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in the 2016 biopic Jackie in an interview with Variety. "I saw the movie, and I think she’s exceptional in it. I thought [the film] is exceptional, and rich and detailed. I’m really happy for her,” he told the outlet.
The couple expanded their family, welcoming their daughter, Amalia. Portman told The New York Times in 2016 that being a mother made her “much calmer under stress, because there's that weird parent thing you develop, that when things get really bad, your voice gets calm and your blood pressure slows, and you can make everything okay again.”
Portman collaborated with her husband once again on the film Vox Lux. The Annihilation actress played pop star Celeste Montgomery and Millepied choreographed the dance scenes.
“My husband choreographed the performance that she has at the end … it was so fun,” she told Extra. “It was kind of like living out my childhood dreams of, like, being a pop star and having a microphone and then, you know, getting to work with my husband which is always so fun."
Nearly 10 years after they said, “I do,” the couple gazed lovingly into each other’s eyes during their photo opportunities at the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty.

When it comes to his and Portman's work lives, Millepied exclusively told Us that they view themselves as "two artists with different ambitions and interests," adding, "But of course we share what’s going on, and I’m sending her a new script that I finished."
The Brothers actress felt “humiliated” by allegations that Millepied cheated on her with a younger woman, a source exclusively told Us.
“Natalie believes Benjamin’s affair was a brief and stupid liaison that means nothing to him,” the insider stated, adding that Portman is "willing to see if she's capable of rebuilding her trust" in her husband to make sure their children don't "grow up in a broken home."
However, a second source said it's unclear whether the two will be able to mend their relationship following the accusations. Noting that Millepied “regrets” his actions, the source told Us: “Right now, they are talking and working on it together for the sake of their children."
Us confirmed that Portman and Millepied separated after 11 years of marriage following his alleged affair. “After news of his affair came out, they’ve been trying to work on their marriage but are currently on the outs,” an insider exclusively told Us of the duo.
Another source later told Us that Portman had “no doubt he regrets what he did, but that “things just haven’t been the same” since the affair drama. “It was a really humiliating scenario for Natalie,” they explained.
A separate source added that the exes “tried to work things out” to no avail. “The damage was done. She couldn’t forgive him and is taking a break for now,” the insider told Us.
A source exclusively told Us that Portman and Millepied were “being very civil toward each other for the kids,” adding, “Benjamin would’ve love[d] to have Natalie back, but she’s not interested.”
Their divorce was finalized that same month.
Portman subtly addressed Millepied while opening up about their children in a profile for Interview magazine. When asked by Jenna Ortega whether having kids helped her find “balance” in life, she stated, “Having kids, that wasn’t really my motivation. I was just excited to have kids, and with a person that I was in love with. But it’s really important to have people in your life who keep you on the ground.”

“Absolutely not,” Williams, 43, told TIME in a profile published on Wednesday, April 16. “I would never do that. And that was sad, that anyone would ever think that.”
She added, “I respect how they could. Obviously, I can see how someone would think that. But, absolutely not. I have never had negative feelings towards him. We’ve known him for so many years.”
Williams made a blink-and-you-missed-it cameo during Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime performance of “Not Like Us,” a Grammy-winning song heavily rumored to be about Lamar’s feud with 38-year-old Drake. The tennis champ replicated the celebratory dance she did after winning the “Golden Slam” title in 2012 on the NFL stage.
“I don’t know if I regret it or not,” Williams, who reportedly dated Drake in 2015, added to TIME. “I don’t know the answer to that.”
The cameo soon sparked widespread backlash and criticism. ESPN host Stephen A. Smith even claimed that, if he were married to Williams, he would have divorced her solely over the Super Bowl appearance.
“I thought it was hilarious,” Williams said. “He’s allowed to have his personal opinion. But did you see my husband’s remark? It was so eloquent.”
Williams is married to Alexis Ohanian, with whom she shares two daughters. In February, he responded to Smith, 57, via X, writing, “This is bigger than the music.” Williams concurs with Ohanian’s stance.
“And I’m like, dude, like, we literally are investing in the world, both of us,” she said. “We’re investing in women and in sports. This is literally the last thing on our minds. Come on.”
According to Williams, she and Ohanian, 41, were more concerned with meeting pop star Taylor Swift at the big game. (Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, is a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, who ultimately lost the Super Bowl LIX to the Philadelphia Eagles.)
“I’m such a mom. Sydney Sweeney had yet another bridal moment amid her split from Jonathan Davino.

In March, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that the duo “have been having major issues but are not fully split.” The insider added, “Things are not great right now, but they aren’t throwing in the towel yet. They are working on their relationship but have called off the wedding for now.”
Mere days later, another source told Us they “officially” broke up after seven years together. “Sydney and Jonathan are officially split,” the insider said, explaining she was “telling friends she is single.”
“They were supposed to get married this spring,” the source said. “The wedding is not happening, and they aren’t having further discussions about it. Sydney wanted to cancel everything and couldn’t handle the stress.”
Following her split, fans wondered if Sweeney was moving on with her Anyone But You costar Glen Powell after she attended his sister’s wedding, but his mom, Cyndy Powell, said the twosome are just “really close friends.”

Director Dallas Santana, Space Blue founder, launched a time capsule into space in February 2024. Attached to the Lunar Lander Odysseus — the first private lunar landing — was the Lunaprise Museum, which had 222 art projects on board curated by Santana and Space Blue.
Remo Camatero, the art director of the late actor’s Kamp Kilmer, included an art piece Camatero created which depicted the actor Batman in the image. This piece of artwork will stay in the museum on the moon, which is set to last for over one billion years.
Before his death, Kilmer — who moonlighted as an artist — would often share his artwork on Instagram. The actor frequently painted himself as Batman, a character he portrayed in the 1995 film Batman Forever. Kilmer founded the virtual platform Kamp Kilmer in 2020 as “a place of collaboration, creativity, and true connection between people through art,” according to the website.

“Thank you for honoring our extraordinary father’s memory,” Kilmer’s family shared in a statement days after the death news. “We are so proud of him and honored to see his legacy celebrated. At this time, we would like to grieve privately.”
The actor is survived by daughter Mercedes Kilmer and son Jack Kilmer, whom he shared with ex-wife Joanne Whalley.
A death certificate obtained by TMZ on Thursday, April 10, confirmed that pneumonia was Kilmer’s immediate cause of death, but hypoxemic respiratory failure, chronic respiratory failure and squamous cell carcinoma of the base of the tongue were listed as underlying causes. Malnutrition and a tracheocutaneous fistula were also contributing factors.
Kilmer battled throat cancer, getting diagnosed in 2015 and denying any illness publicly. He eventually confirmed his throat cancer battle in 2017, noting that he was in the clear. The actor eventually discussed the disease in his 2021 documentary, Val.
“I can’t speak without plugging this hole [in my throat],” he said at the time. “You have to make the choice to breathe or to eat.”
He called it “an obstacle,” noting that he sounded “much worse” than he felt at the time.
“I have behaved bizarrely to some,” Kilmer continued. “I deny none of this and have no regrets because I have lost and found parts of myself that I never knew existed. I am blessed.”
