Ben Affleck says Tom Cruise “has nothing on me” when it comes to stunts — well, that is, if you count line dancing as a stunt.
While speaking to the crowd at SXSW on Saturday, March 8, Affleck revealed he spent “months and months” learning to line dance for The Accountant 2. “It was a stunt for me,” he joked. “Tom Cruise has nothing on me… in terms of line dancing.”
Affleck and the movie’s director Gavin O’Connor also revealed that a nude scene — that inevitably also involved line dancing — was ultimately cut from the movie. “There was a nude scene but we cut it. He practiced line dancing in front of the mirror,” O’Connor said before Affleck interjected, “It was a choice! I liked it!”
Affleck’s costar Jon Bernthal, also part of the panel, praised the actor’s work – line dancing and all.
“Ben’s a hero of mine. I admire him so much, because he’s equal parts beautiful person as he is a beautiful artist,” he said. “Making movies for me is usually knocking my head into a wall; I’m kind of hating myself. But this was very easy. It was very easy to work with him.”
In addition to his dancing skills, the actor has made headlines for his personal life. On March 5, a source close to Affleck and his ex-wife Jennifer Garner told Us exclusively that the pair, who divorced in 2015, are not rekindling their romance despite multiple photos of the pair appearing close and cozy.
The source described the rumors surrounding the exes as “ridiculous.” A second insider noted that Garner has been dating John Miller since 2018. “Everything is fine with John and Jen,” the insider told Us. “Those close to them haven’t heard of any issues.”
Where Affleck and Garner shine is as coparents of their three children: Violet, 19, Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 13. In August 2024, a separate insider told Us, “Ben and Jennifer are friends, and they have a great coparenting relationship” and the pair have a “mutual understanding that their kids come first.”
“There’s a deep level of trust and respect between them,” the source explained at the time, adding that Affleck and Garner’s past has helped him through his own ups and downs with ex-wife Jenifer Lopez.
When it comes to his kids, Affleck has always shown they’re the people who are the most important to him. He and his son Samuel were recently out at a sneaker convention on March 3, when Affleck experienced a very relatable parenting moment. Samuel spotted a pair of sneakers he liked — only to find out they cost between $6,000 and $8,000.
“That’s a lot of lawns you gotta’ mow there!” Affleck commented before he added, “You like those ‘cause they’re expensive.”
DDG has accused ex Halle Bailey of not allowing him to see their son Halo.
“[B]een fighting to see my son for months now…,” DDG, 27, wrote in a since-deleted post made via X on Friday, March 7, as reported by TMZ. “shout out to all the Dads who try their best to be there. this s— sucks.”
Us Weekly has reached out to reps for both DDG (real name Daryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.) and Bailey, 24, for comment.
DDG spoke about the situation on a livestream shortly after deleting his X post on Friday. “I really feel like I’m a f—ing nanny at this point,” he said, per TMZ. “The nanny has been able to have my son more than me. And I don’t even know the nanny name. Like, it’s just not fair bro. So I have to come on here and I gotta do this s—.”
The Little Mermaid star and her ex have had some difficulties coparenting in the past. In November 2024, Bailey called DDG out for allowing their son Halo, 14 months, to appear on YouTuber Kai Cenat’s Twitch stream without her consent. (Cenat has over 13 million followers on Twitch.)

Bailey, who had split from DDG the previous month, took to X to write that she did not “approve of my baby being on a stream” at the time.
“I wasn’t told or notified and I am extremely upset to have my baby in front of millions of people,” she said. “I am his mother and protector and saddened that I wasn’t notified especially when I am out of town.”
Bailey later walked back her comments, writing in a November 7 post via X, “Yesterday maybe I did overreact and shouldn’t have brought it here. I know that Halo is always safe with his dad. I just don’t like finding out with the rest of the world what my baby is doing. Thank u Kai for the gifts for Halo .”
DDG announced the pair’s split in October 2024, less than a year after Bailey gave birth to Halo. “After much reflection and heartfelt support conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways,” DDG wrote via his Instagram Story on October 3. “This decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best path forward for both of us.”
He added, “Despite changes in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and true. We are still best friends and adore each other. As we focus on our individual journeys and our roles as coparents, we cherish the bond we’ve built and the beautiful moments we shared.”

Hailey Bieber celebrated her pregnancy, and baby boy Jack Blues, on International Women’s Day.
The model, 28, shared two photos of herself cuddling Jack, 6 months, via Instagram on Saturday, March 8. In the pics, Jack wears a red crochet bonnet while enjoying some time in the sun with his mom, who sported a wide-brimmed straw hat with her hair down.
Hailey captioned the photos with a flaming heart, adding via Instagram Stories that pregnancy was the “wildest, coolest thing I’ve ever done” over a picture of her baby bump in a cropped tank top.
Hailey, who shares Jack with husband Justin Bieber, has kept her son primarily out of the spotlight since his birth in August 2024. She has shared snippets of her motherhood journey here and there via social media — including a photo of her and Justin, 31, out for a stroll with Jack in November.
Justin announced Jack’s arrival via Instagram last summer, writing, “WELCOME HOME JACK BLUES BIEBER ,” alongside a photo of the newborn’s foot.
In recent weeks, fans have expressed concern over Justin’s well-being, leading his rep to issue a statement denying any alleged drug use. Spears, 43, uploaded her latest dance video to Instagram on Saturday, March 8, in which she sported a black lacy bodysuit and a camel, wide-brimmed hat. In the footage, the pop star seductively grooved to Timberlake’s “Señorita” in front of a fireplace.
Timberlake, 44, released “Señorita” in 2002 — the same year that he and Spears broke up. However, it is not publicly known whether the song was inspired by Spears or the reason why she decided to dance to it on Saturday.
Spears and Timberlake, who notably met on the set of TheAll-New Mickey Mouse Club, famously dated from 1999 to 2002.

“Justin will always be supportive of Britney and all of her endeavors, but he’s trying to distance himself from her upcoming book,” an insider told Us in October 2023. “It’s not something he’s focusing too much on in terms of anything she might discuss when it comes to their former relationship.”
Per the source, Timberlake has “a whole different life now” with his wife, Jessica Biel, and their two sons.
“Justin and Britney dated so long ago, and he has a whole different life now,” the source added. “He’s focused on his family, his career, and moving forward, and he would like to leave anything that happened in the past behind them.”

Mohamed Hadid, proud dad of supermodels Gigiand Bella Hadid, is opening up about the advice he shared with his daughters as children.
“I just tell them to be safe and be confident,” Mohamed, 76, exclusively told Us Weekly on March 2, while attending Elton John’s star-studded Oscars viewing and after party.
“I think they have great mothers,” Mohamed continued. “All of my kids, so they have a really good background.”
The father of five shares Bella, Gigi and Anwar Hadid with ex-wife Yolanda Hadid. Mohamed also shares daughters Marielle and Alana Hadid with his first wife, Mary Butler (the pair divorced in 1992).
“I made them that way. It was just.. I did it by myself,” Mohamed joked of raising his successful daughters, including Alana, whose production company Watermelon Pictures — described as a Palestinian-owned independent film distribution, production and financing company, per Deadline — produced the Oscar-nominated film No Other Land.
“She’s at the Oscars,” Mohamed said of his daughter Alana on March 2. (No Other Land went on to win the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature.)
Mohamed is not only a proud father, but a proud grandfather — in 2020, the real estate mogul could hardly contain his excitement after news broke that his daughter Gigi was expecting her first child with then-boyfriend Zayn Malik.
“Normally I don’t talk about family affairs in the public, so let’s leave it alone for now,” Mohamed told Al Jadeed TV via Instagram Live at the time. “I have to get used to a lot of things, so let’s keep that conversation for the next time.”
Mohamed went on to explain that he wanted to discuss Gigi’s pregnancy, which was kept a secret for months, with his daughter before celebrating publicly.
“Let me digest it and talk to her first ‘cause I’m not sure if it’s real or not,” he explained. “If she is, I’ll be very happy just as long as the baby is healthy and she’s healthy. That’s all I care [about]. I’ll be very proud of her if she has one. As of now, I’m not sure, so that’s why I can’t give an answer.”
That same year, Mohamed shared a poem for his future grandchild on Instagram.
“Hello little grandchild, it is me, my heart as happy as can be,” the poem read. “I wish for you the sun & moon, I wish for you a happy time. Know that grandpa’s always near, to do anything, anything for you my dear.”
Gigi gave birth to her daughter, Khai, in September 2020. The model had an unmedicated home birth in an inflatable bath tub in her bedroom.
Mohamed went on to write, ‘When I heard you were on the way, I smiled and wiped a tear away. I cried the tear because I know, my heart would always belong to you.”
“There’s this lifetime risk assessment test that is really the only reason her cancer was discovered,” Mulaney, 42, said on the Sunday, March 9, broadcast of CBS Sunday Morning. “Seeing so many women publicly and privately come to her that [say] they discovered how high their risk was from that, it’s astonishing.”
Munn, 44, revealed in March 2024 that she had been diagnosed with cancer one year earlier.
“In an effort to be proactive about my health, I took a genetic test that checks you for 90 different cancer genes. “I tested negative for all, including BRCA (the most well-known breast cancer gene). My sister Sara [Potts] had just tested negative as well,” Munn recalled via Instagram at the time. “We called each other and high-fived over the phone. That same winter I also had a normal mammogram.”
Two months later, despite the negative results, Munn was diagnosed with breast cancer and subsequently underwent four procedures, including a mastectomy and hysterectomy.
“I took out my uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries,” she told Vogue in May 2024. “Doing a full hysterectomy was a big decision to make, but it was the best decision for me because I needed to be present for my family.”
Munn and Mulaney, who tied the knot in 2024, are parents to son Malcolm, 3, and daughter Méi, 9 months. (They welcomed Méi via surrogate amid Munn’s breast cancer battle.)
“I had friends try to cheer me up by saying, ‘Malcolm’s not going to remember this. Don’t worry,’” Munn recalled to the outlet last year. “But I just kept thinking to myself, ‘I’m going to remember this, that I missed all these things.’ It’s his childhood, but it’s my motherhood, and I don’t want to miss any of these parts if I don’t have to.”
In addition to navigating his wife’s cancer diagnosis, Mulaney noted on Sunday that welcoming Malcolm and Méi also transformed his life.
“I’m in the world now that I’m a father. My head was my only home before that,” the comedian said. “When my son was born, the first thought I had was, ‘Oh, thereyou are.’ And when my daughter was born, I had this — not to sound ‘woo-woo’ or anything — but when she was born, I went, ‘Oh!’ My thought was like, ‘Oh, we’ve met before. I’ve collided with you some other time.’ So, it’s like these people came in that just, I don’t know, make me like the world a lot more.”
