Katie Couric has been keeping in touch with Hoda Kotb following her exit from the Today show.
“I’ve texted her a couple of times and told her I hope she was sleeping in,” Couric, 68, exclusively told Us Weekly on Thursday, March 6. Couric left Today in 2006 after 15 years on the show to anchor CBS Evening News, becoming the first solo woman in history to anchor a nightly news broadcast.
“Someone was asking me earlier today about leaving the Today show,” Couric told Us, adding that “change and new challenges keeps life interesting and exciting.”
She shared, “If you do something too long, it starts to feel stale no matter how exciting the job may be. So I was excited for Hoda — having anchored the Today show for 15 years — to go and try new things and challenge herself and, you know, be in different venues. I’m really excited for her.”
Kotb, 60, announced her departure from Today in September 2024 after almost 30 years with NBC.

“I just turned 60, and it was such a monumental moment for me when I turned 60 years old because I started thinking about that decade, like, what does that decade mean? What does it hold? What’s it gonna have for me?” the host tearfully announced at the time. “And I realized that it was time for me to turn the page at 60 and to try something new.”
She cited wanting to spend more time with her daughters, Haley and Hope, whom she shares with ex-fiancé Joel Schiffman, as a major reason for her decision to walk away from the program.
“I had my kiddos late in life, and I was thinking they deserve a bigger piece of my time, the pie that I have,” she explained. “I feel like we only have a finite amount of time. And so, with all that being said, this is the hardest thing in the world.”
An NBC insider exclusively told Us at the time that Kotb’s exit was a “huge blow” for the series. “She’s the person that everybody loves,” the insider told Us. “She’s the same off-camera as she is on-camera, and I think that’s what’s the hardest thing because that can’t be said for everybody.”
Couric also admitted to Us that while she still watches “some” of the Today show, she doesn’t consume nearly as much of the morning show as she used to.
“Honestly, in the morning I’m usually up and out. And to be honest with you, like so many people, I get a lot of my content digitally,” she explained to Us. “So, I do, but not consistently, not like I used to, and not like I did when I was actually on it.”

Brittany Mahomes and her children “had a time” recently while visiting the Peppa Pig Theme Park in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas.
Brittany shared a series of photos featuring the mom of three and her oldest children, Sterling and Bronze, during the trio’s trip to the park in her Instagram Stories on Friday, March 7.
In the first Story, she shared a collage of photos featuring herself holding Bronze, the threesome enjoying a boat ride and herself and Sterling posing for a photo with a real-life Peppa the Pig.
It also looked like the family was joined by several other young children in the second Story, Sterling posed with a group of girls.
Bronze might not have had the best time throughout the entire outing, though. “He rode the roller coaster one time but had to close his eyes,” Brittany captioned a photo of the toddler with his hands over his face.

She later added a photo of both children holding hands, as well as a video of Sterling and a friend on a merry-go-round type ride.
On Wednesday, March 5, Brittany told her followers on the platform that they shouldn’t expect to see her youngest baby’s face, Golden, “for a while” after her trainer Betina Gozo Shimonek appeared to show a glimpse of the newborn in a video. Brittany gave birth to Golden on January 12 and shares all three children with her husband, Patrick Mahomes.
In the video, Shimonek said she was on “triple duty” while training Brittany, watching her own daughter and minding Golden. “I think I need to clarify, Golden is in the stroller you can’t see her and won’t for a while ,” Brittany wrote on her own Instagram Story at the time, after fans speculated as to whose child was whose. “That is Makoa [Shimonek’s son] in the bouncer .”
After the couple welcomed Golden to the family, Patrick was asked if the pair would consider adding a fourth child. “[I’m] good with three [kids] for right now,” he said at a press conference in January. “My goal was always three, so we’ve had three. We’ll stick there for a while and see if we need to come back and get another one later on.”
Of course, that doesn’t mean the pair are definitely finished having children. “I said three and I’m done,” he said in July 2024. “I always wanted to have kids young. I got to grow up in a locker room, and it made such an impact in my life. We’re on our third kid now. … Brittany does a great job of doing that and we still go out and enjoy our life.”
In the image, Harry, 40, pressed a kiss to Lilibet’s head, as the toddler sat in his lap. The pair were seated on a boat, with Lilibet, 3, turned away from the camera. (Harry and Meghan, 43, are also parents to son Archie, 5.)

In addition to the sweet image of the father-daughter duo, Meghan also shared an image of Harry embracing her from behind as the couple walked along the beach. In another pic, Meghan smiled for a selfie with her mom, Doria Ragland.
Meghan’s tribute comes less than a week after the launch of her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan. In an interview with People published on Saturday, a crew member shared that Harry and their two children showed their support for Meghan on set during filming.
“Whenever Harry visited set, he was always super polite and friendly. But it was clear he wanted this to be Meghan’s moment to shine,” the crew member told the publication, adding that Meghan was “super attentive and doting” on their kids. “We would give them headphones so they could listen to audio.”
In the eight-episode series, Meghan shared numerous tips from cooking to hosting and received visits from various famous guests, including a brief cameo from Harry. After hugging a group at the brunch part, Harry embraced his wife with several kisses. “Well done! You did a great job,” Harry told Meghan. “I love it.”
While reflecting on her connection to Harry, Meghan gushed that the pair make an effort to keep their romance alive by showing up for each other “in the ways big and small.”
“Life is full of surprises. I did not expect to meet H and for this to be our love story. I’m very lucky,” Meghan said on the Thursday, March 6, episode of The Drew Barrymore Show. “I’m married to the funniest, sweetest, most charming [man]. He’s all the things that you’re describing and he’s an amazing father. I count my blessings because I have him and also I have a partner who is so supportive of me.”
Bella Cruise has nothing but support for her sister, Sunday Rose Kidman-Urban, as she embarks on a modeling career.
Sunday Rose shared a photo of herself from W Magazine via Instagram on Friday, March 7, which prompted Bella to give the photo a “like” — a rare moment of public interaction between the two half-sisters.
The up-and-coming model made her debut in October 2024 when she walked the catwalk for the Italian fashion house Miu Miu as part of their spring show in Paris. Though her mom Nicole Kidman wasn’t at the show to support her daughter in person, she made sure to connect with her daughter at a dinner in the city afterward.

Kidman and Tom Cruise’s daughter Bella typically shies away from the spotlight. The pair adopted Bella in Miami in December 1992 and she has been raised in the Church of Scientology.
In December 2024, Bella, 32, shared an Instagram Story that featured a photo of her smiling in front of a piece of her own artwork. “This lil’ guy made it to @imaginemuseum,” she captioned the photo.
Kidman and Cruise also adopted Bella’s brother, Connor, in 1995. Both siblings have maintained a low profile since their parents divorce in 2001.
In November 2018, Kidman admitted she’s very protective of her oldest children. “I’m very private about [them],” she told Australia’s Who magazine at the time. “I have to protect those relationships. I know 150 percent that I would give up my life for my children because it’s what my purpose is. They are adults. They are able to make their own decisions. They have made choices to be Scientologists and, as a mother, it’s my job to love them.”
“I am an example of that tolerance and that’s what I believe — that no matter what your child does, the child has love and the child has to know there is available love and I’m open here,” she added. “I think that’s so important because if that is taken away from a child, to sever that in any child, in any relationship, in any family — I believe it’s wrong. So that’s our job as a parent, to always offer unconditional love.”
Kidman and her second husband, musician Keith Urban, married in 2006 and welcomed Sunday in 2008. Her sister Faith was born in 2010.

“I told him, I was like, ‘Look, here’s the problem that I have with this statement — not that I brought you on to this show and gave you a job, that’s not even the problem that I’m having here, but you should remind yourself of that — the problem I’m having is, I just became a mother and this is my job and I need to be a provider for my daughter,’” Hubbard, 38, said on the Thursday, March 6, episode of Betches’ “Mention It All” podcast.
She continued of her conversation with Wilson, “‘You going around being like, ‘There’s no way [she’s returning],’ is not really helpful, and is actually really hurtful. I thought we were friends and I’m trying to be financially independent and provide for my daughter. You saying, ‘There’s no way,’ is really f—ed up.’”
Wilson made headlines last month when he was asked on an episode of the “Trading Secrets” podcast whether he thought Hubbard would be on the Bravo show next season. “There’s no way, I don’t know. Unless they bring the baby,” Wilson said, before quipping, “I don’t think I can babysit. I don’t know how that works.”
In Hubbard’s mind, Wilson could have answered that question in a different way. “He could have also been like, ‘Oh, God, I really hope so.’ Or, ‘I’m here because of her, so I hope they figure out a way to include her despite the fact that she has a daughter.’ … Say anything besides, ‘There’s no way.’”
Hubbard said Wilson was “appreciative” that she “hashed it out” with him after his comments. “What is with these guys publicly doing things and then expecting people to not publicly respond? I’m like, ‘OK, then shut your f—ing mouth and I won’t f—ing say anything. But if you want to go, then let’s f—ing have a media war. I’m down. I’m so down for a media war with West Wilson,” she said.
Kareem Black/Bravo
Hubbard quipped that Wilson is the “last on the list” when it comes to a babysitter for her daughter.
“West is lucky if he has a job in season 10. I told him that over summer, too,” Hubbard claimed. “I had many talks with him where I was just like, ‘You need to f—ing do something.’ Kyle [Cooke] got mad at him, too. You’re here to do something. If you don’t want to do something, stay at home. … And what did I do? More in my sleep.”
Hubbard clarified that she has “love” Wilson, who joined the show in 2024. “I give him s—t as, like, a big sister,” she said.
After splitting from Summer House costar Carl Radke, Hubbard moved on with Turner Kufe. Hubbard announced in July 2024 that she and Kufe were expecting their first baby. (Hubbard did not reveal Kufe’s identity at the time.)

“At first hearing it was like, ‘OK, wow, she’s really moved on.’ Not that I was expecting the door to be kept open for me,” Radke explained. “You almost envision it’s going to be some time [before your ex moves on].”
