Kristin Davis Didn’t Want to Split With Alec Baldwin for a Surprising Reason

Kristin Davis has revealed the surprising reason she didn’t want to call it quits with Alec Baldwin when they were dating back in the early 2000s.
Speaking on the Thursday, February 27 episode of podcast “Literally with Rob Lowe,” Davis shared details of why she wasn’t in a rush to pull the plug on her romance with Baldwin — and it had nothing to do with their relationship.
“This is the thing. Alec Baldwin was so rich by the time I dated Alec Baldwin, okay? Can I just say that straight out,” the And Just Like That… star, 60, told host Lowe. “Like one of the best things about Alec Baldwin when I dated him is that he had the most incredible house in Amagansett.”
Davis, who was starring in Sex and The City at the time, went on to recall discussing the potential breakup with her costar, Sarah Jessica Parker.
Kristin Davis Recalls Being Ghosted by Actor After Lending Him $5000
“Like, I remember I was at work and I was like, ‘Sarah Jessica, I just don’t know if it’s going to work out with Alec and I, but I just really love that house,’ Davis said, adding, “Which is literally one of the only times I have felt that way, do you know? When I’m like, ‘I don’t want to break up with this person because I like his house.’ It’s so embarrassing to say that out loud but it’s true.”
Davis recently made headlines after sharing another story from her relationship history, which involved lending someone she was dating $5000 only to subsequently be ghosted by him. While Davis kept the man’s identity anonymous, she said he went on to be famous later in life.
The actress shared her dating anecdote about Baldwin after Lowe, 60, suggested that the Rust actor may have been the mystery man.
“It is not Alec Baldwin, oh my God,” Davis insisted. “This is one of the things that’s out there.”
After recalling her experience with Baldwin and emphasizing his wealth at the time, Davis added, “I never would have had to lend Alec $5000, my God.”

Although Baldwin has now been ruled out, Davis was determined not to reveal the man’s identity publicly on the podcast but told Lowe she’d tell him who it was when off air.
Davis made the ghosting claims in an episode of her own podcast, “Are You A Charlotte?” which dropped in January.
During the podcast episode, Davis recalled how she was seeing an “out-of-work actor” before starting her famous SATC role as Charlotte York, and added that this man is now “very successful.” Davis had lent him “all of $5,000,” after spotting notices around his home that threatened to switch off his electricity. She’d also learned he had “wrecked his motorcycle” so he was unable to attend auditions.
Why Kristin Davis Questioned Her Ability to Portray Married Charlotte
“He was very talented, but, at the time, I had money because I’d been working,” Davis explained. “It changed the dynamic in a horrible way … but I probably should have known better. So I lent him this money and then, you know, he stops calling. So I’m like, ‘What the heck?’”
Davis went on to add that she ended up to confront the man — to no avail.
“I remember going over to his apartment and banging on the door,” Davis said. “And his dog was in there, and I loved his dog, and I could hear his dog. But I was like, ‘Is he in there and pretending that he is not in there?’”

Selma Blair Is Boxing With Freddie Roach Amid MS Remission: 'I Can Do It'
As she continues her inspiring MS journey, Selma Blair has decided to step inside the squared circle — and Us Weekly exclusively followed her into the ring.
The actress, 52, who was diagnosed with MS in 2018, started training with famed 64-year-old boxing trainer, Freddie Roach, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease when he was 27. A former professional boxer himself, Roach has worked with some of the most accomplished boxers in history, including Manny Pacquiao, Miguel Cotto and Oscar De La Hoya.
Us Weekly was exclusively in attendance at Roach’s Wild Card Boxing Club on Wednesday, February 26, which marked Blair’s fourth day in the ring with Roach.
“It is great,” Blair told Us. “Obviously, I couldn’t be more novice, but I take it really seriously and I really want to be a good fighter.”
Selma Blair Shares How MS Affects Her Parenting With Son Arthur
Blair said she was motivated to start working with Roach because she “loves surprising people and surprising myself,” and she credited her trainer with already allowing her to see a difference in her skill level after a few sessions.

“There’s something about Freddie Roach, knowing that he is such a fighter and has done really well with himself, neurologically,” Blair explained. “Just staying in his presence and staying in his strength, and to be able to learn something from someone who’s a true master. To even get to play in this as who I am and get to feel like I really want to do this. You know, he gets it.”
She added, “I say that to flatter myself because we all wish there was a little more Freddie Roach in us.”
Blair said Roach “inspired” her to take the leap and start showing up at his gym. “I am just trying to come every day,” she noted. “This is just the beginning.”
She added, “I want to be in good shape, good emotionally, redo some balance and learn how to use my arms in tandem with the rest of me that’s getting stronger. So, it’s really about stamina and trying to increase being awake for all the things I have to do.”
Additionally, Blair said her son Arthur, 13 — whom she shares with her ex, Jason Bleick — helped inspire her to work up the motivation to train with Roach.
“He’s so tough,” Blair said of her son. “We’ve always been so close and wrestled, because I was kind of like Mom and Dad — and then Dad was like Mom and Dad when he was with him. He really was tough on me. Seeing how strong he is, how good he is at things, it was inspiring. Like, I used to be like that. I want to take this seriously. I wanna work with the people that have defied all that, that have been the best in their game.”
Selma Blair Is ‘Feeling More Confident’ in Her Hollywood Return
Blair also provided Us with an update about her MS journey, saying, “Learning to stand up for myself is like a new language.”
“I’m a late bloomer,” she explained. “I have so much going on. I kinda cleaned house in my life. I’m excited. I’m excited for the first time.”
Blair added, “I gotta keep going. It’s just been inspiring for me to say, “Yeah, I can do it.’ I’m safe now. I am relapse-free right now. I’m at [this] stage long enough with me being relapse-free that I’m just kind of living in the fumes of some old damage. I feel confident that I’m not gonna fall apart if I push myself. And that’s just confidence.”

Shop Celebrity Closets to Fuel Wildfire Relief: Leo, Beyonce and More

In a masterclass of philanthropic chic, model and activist Toni Garrn orchestrated a pre-Oscars soiree in Los Angeles earlier this week. The event was held to celebrate the grand opening of a curated exhibition of red carpet-worthy looks worn by A-list stars to help raise funds for Los Angeles wildfire relief.
Created in collaboration with TINGS, Garrn, 32, kicked off the multi-day SUPER FLEA MARKET event at HEIMAT in Los Angeles on Tuesday, February 25, which together, artfully intertwined the allure of celebrity provenance with the imperative of environmental advocacy.
The opening featured a presentation of pieces for auction, donated by luminaries from the worlds of film, music, and fashion — including Academy Award, Golden Globe and Grammy winners, from Leonardo DiCaprio to Sharon Stone to Beyoncé — alongside top supermodels.
The GOAT herself, Gisele Bündchen, 44, donated a Bottega Veneta mini Jodie purse in metallic gold — consider it the luxury fashion equivalent to your very own Academy Awards statuette. The epitome of impeccable Italian craftsmanship, the coveted It Bag blends modern style with meaningful impact.

Garrn, who is represented by the Lions, offered the ultimate red carpet gown: a Giorgio Armani design she plucked off the Fall 2019 runway before wearing it to the opening ceremony of She Came To Me at the 73rd Berlin International Film Festival. Timelessly sophisticated and with no shortage of shine, this dress is a standout for anyone looking to dress like a star for a night.
Or perhaps you’re looking to channel your inner reality star. Look no further than Paris Hilton‘s Self-Portrait dress, worn at the Kardashian-Jenner family’s famous Christmas Eve party in 2023. The glamorous rhinestone-covered gown features a slinky cutout neckline and ruched bodice.

While everyone loves a statement piece, you can do just as much good by investing in a timeless staple, like a black Gucci tuxedo from DiCaprio’s personal collection. The acclaimed actor wore it to the 2023 Gotham Awards in New York, which honored Martin Scorsese‘s epic Killers of the Flower Moon, starring DiCaprio, 50, giving it an extra layer of significance.
The simple yet striking tuxedo showcases Gucci’s expert tailoring and refined detailing. Paired with a bespoke white Gucci shirt, it’s the ultimate black-tie look for the leading man in your life.

The ultimate arm candy, however, is perhaps the Chanel 2.55 Double Flap bag, donated by It girl, model, and actress Kristine Froseth. Expertly crafted from the French fashion house’s signature quilted velvet in a vibrant shade of red, it’s a symbol of luxury and heartfelt sentiment that extends even beyond the auction beneficiaries. (Coco Chanel herself was said to use the discreet zip pocket to store her love letters, lending an element of romance to the bag’s story.)

Following the exhibition opening, a panel discussion with representatives from Re:wild and All Hands and Hearts further deepened the narrative. This discourse underscored the event’s commitment to bridging the rarefied world of haute couture with imperative global stewardship.
Garrn’s words about the multi-day event struck a positive chord about the power to use fashion for good. “Los Angeles bestowed an exhilarating new dimension upon SUPER FLEA MARKET with HEIMAT proving the perfect canvas for this vision,” the activist told Us Weekly exclusively.
“Our ethos, ‘Let Clothes Do Good,’ resonated profoundly here,” she continued. “I am deeply humbled by the outpouring of support. It is truly remarkable to witness these exquisite pieces, once cherished by my esteemed friends, metamorphose into tangible aid for wildfire relief.”
Indeed, the online auction is a rare venture into the wardrobes of stylish stars — and a testament to fashion’s capacity to transcend the ephemeral and become a conduit for change.

The auction collection, accessible at superfleamarket.org, will culminate on Wednesday, March 5, at 8 p.m. PT. For those in the Los Angeles area, the collection will be on view in the Phillips showroom from Saturday, March 1, offering a physical connection to the charitable initiative.
