US artists claimed the biggest albums along with K-pop bands such as Seventeen, while Irish artist Hozier mixed with US stars Noah Kahan, Benson Boone and Billie Eilish on the singles chart
While the show wasn’t nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series at the Sunday, February 23, awards show, the series did manage to snag nods in two major categories.
Adam Brody was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series for his portrayal of Noah. Kristen Bell, meanwhile, was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series after playing series lead Joanne.
Unfortunately, the stars of Nobody Wants Thisleft the awards show empty handed on Sunday. Brody, 45, lost his category to Martin Short, who won for Only Murders in the Building. Jean Smart, meanwhile, beat out Bell for her lead role on Hacks.
Even with their respective losses, the SAGs were a big deal for the Nobody Wants This family —Bell, 44, also served as the awards show’s host. (Bell previously hosted the event in 2018.)
“Thrilled to be hosting the SAG Awards again this year,” Bell said in a December 2024 statement. “I’m honored to be asked back and can’t wait to share the evening with my fellow actors, doing what we do best … celebrating ourselves.”

The SAG Awards team was equally as excited to have Bell back at the helm. “Kristen Bell’s wit, warmth, and charm makes her the perfect fit for our show — a night celebrating actors and the outstanding performances of the year,” SAG Awards executive producer Jon Brockett said in his own December 2024 Netflix statement. “Plus — who better to keep us entertained and on our toes than Kristen?”

Bell kicked off the night with a spoof of Frozen’s “Do You Wanna Build a Snowman” song, singing “Do You Wanna Be an Actor.” She proceeded to do bits with her former The Good Place and Forgetting Sarah Marshall costars.
In addition to hosting the fun-filled night in Los Angeles, Bell was there to celebrate Nobody Wants This’ success — which has been evident since the show premiered on Netflix in September 2024.
The comedy follows agnostic sex podcaster Joanne (Bell) as she falls in love with the newly single (and very hot) rabbi Noah (Brody). Along the way viewers see whether their relationship can survive their different upbringings and meddling families.

Season 1 ended with Noah seemingly giving up his chance to be a head rabbi to be with Joanne, who revealed she was not ready to convert to Judaism. Season 2 began filming earlier this month — and creator Erin Foster teased the show will “pick up mostly more or less where we left off.”
She told The Hollywood Reporter in October 2024 that it won’t be “the same night” but it will be “the same moment of, ‘So, what now? How do we do this?’”
Season 2 will also have a new face with Joanne’s “middle school nemesis who is now an Instagram mommy influencer” named Abby. Brody’s real-life wife, Leighton Meester, will play the new character, Variety reported on Thursday, February 20. (Meester joined her husband on Sunday night, walking the red carpet together.)
Nobody Wants This season 1 is currently streaming on Netflix.
“We’ve been keeping a little secret.. Baby May Due August 2025,” Giancola, 37, wrote in a joint Instagram post with May shared on Sunday, February 23. “After struggling through years of infertility, this is the absolute greatest blessing we could ever possibly ask for!”
She continued, “We are so thrilled to finally be able to share the news of our little miracle with you all! Our hearts have never been so full of love, we can’t wait to meet you baby! .”
Alongside the message, Giancola shared a series of photos of the couple posing while holding the black-and-white ultrasound images. The last image featured a teddy bear sitting underneath an umbrella at the beach, positioned next to a sign that read, “We’ve been keeping a secret. Baby May due August 2025.”
Giancola shared in a November 2024 episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacationthat she suffered a miscarriage after undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF).
“This has been a very long process, it’s been a lot of shots, it’s been a lot of hormones,” Giancola said during a confessional. “Just the thought of even being pregnant was such a magical moment for me, and just to have that taken away — it’s devastating.”

Giancola gave a sweet shout-out to May, who she said had been supportive during the difficult time. “He’s so positive and uplifting,” she gushed. “He’s so special to me, and I just am so thankful for him. He’s been by my side through this whole thing. I just love him.”
Giancola suffered the pregnancy loss shortly before May proposed in 2024. “I am just like, in awe,” Giancola said in a confessional during the episode. “I’ve dreamt of this moment my entire life. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.”
She added, “Justin coming into my life made my life a million times better. He is just everything I could ever ask for in a man. He’s patient. He’s supportive and I just love and adore him so much.”
Giancola announced her engagement to May in April 2024, while showing off a close-up of her ring. “Life update: Fiancé. The easiest question I’ve ever answered,” she wrote via Instagram. “Happiest & luckiest girl in the world. I’ll love you forever, and then some. Can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.”
In 2012, after six seasons, the cast left Seaside Heights, New Jersey, to focus on different projects. Polizzi and Farley starred on Snooki & JWoww from 2012 to 2015 and DelVecchio documented his DJ journey on The Pauly D Project.
Nearly a decade after the original show premiered, most of the stars reunited in 2018 for the spinoff Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. Giancola was noticeably absent when the new show began but has since returned for season 6 in 2023.
Scroll through the gallery below to see how each cast member has changed through the years:
At 29 years old, DelVecchio was the oldest member of the cast when the original show began. Throughout the show, he dated many women but never settled down. In June 2013, DelVecchio welcomed his daughter, Amabella Sophia, with Amanda Market. Following his time on E!’s Famously Single, DelVecchio dated Aubrey O’Day on and off from 2015 to 2017. The DJ has been in a relationship with Nikki Hall, whom he met on MTV's A Double Shot at Love, since 2020.
DelVecchio has been starring on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation since 2018.
When Polizzi joined the show at age 22, she came in as the party girl ready to have a good time. She quickly became best friends with Farley. During season 3, she hooked up with Jionni LaValle, a man she met at a club. In season 4, the two began dating and got engaged in March 2012; they married in November 2014. The two welcomed son Lorenzo in 2012, daughter Giovanna in 2014 and son Angelo in May 2019.
The Confessions of a Guidette author revealed in December 2019 that she was leaving the show, saying she wanted to be home with her kids. After skipping season 4 of Jersey Shore Family Vacation, Polizzi returned as a full time cast member for season 5 in 2022.
Sorrentino entered the Jersey Shore house at age 27, introducing himself as “The Situation” — which was also the nickname for his abs. While he got into many fights with most members of the cast, he revealed an addiction to prescription drugs at the end of the series and entered rehab in March 2012. He left the center after only a few weeks and relapsed in 2015, entering rehab for a second time. He has remained sober since.
Sorrentino has also faced his share of legal troubles. In 2014, he was indicted for tax fraud. He pleaded guilty to one count of tax evasion and began his eight-month prison sentence in January 2019, two months after marrying Lauren Sorrentino (then Lauren Pesce.) Mike left prison that September. He and Lauren welcomed their first child, son Romeo, in May 2021 after previously suffering a miscarriage.
Mike and Lauren went on to welcome daughters Mia and Luna in 2023 and 2024, respectively.
Cortese was a longtime friend of Polizzi and originally auditioned for Jersey Shore but didn’t make the cut. She joined in season 3, promoting herself as “a blast in a glass.” In 2017, she married Chris Buckner. The pair share two children: Christopher, born in 2019, and Cameron, born in 2021.
Ortiz-Magro joined the cast of Jersey Shore at 24 and spent most of his time on the show in arguments with Giancola and Mike. However, his life changed in December 2017 when his girlfriend Jen Harley revealed she was pregnant. They welcomed daughter Ariana Sky in April 2018. The pair had a tumultuous relationship and both accused each other of physical abuse. In January 2019, Ortiz-Magro spent a month in a treatment facility for alcohol and depression.
Ortiz-Magro and Harley split for good in October 2019 after an altercation at an L.A. Airbnb. Ortiz-Magro was subsequently charged with seven misdemeanors including domestic violence, child endangerment, false imprisonment and resisting arrest. He pleaded not guilty but was ordered to stay at least 150 yards away from Harley and his daughter. In May 2020, the MTV star accepted a plea deal in the case and was placed on probation for 36 months, ordered to serve 30 days of community labor and pay $20,000 to a woman's shelter.
The drama continued when Ortiz-Magro decided to step away from Jersey Shore: Family Vacation in May 2021, one month after he was arrested and released on $100,000 bond in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to Us that his booking fell under “intimate partner violence with injury with priors,” referring to his previous arrests.
In June 2021, Ortiz-Magro proposed to his girlfriend Saffire Matos. “He knew that she was The One pretty much early on in their relationship,” a source told Us at the time. The twosome split in July 2022, calling off their engagement.
Ortiz-Magro returned to Jersey Shore: Family Vacation as a supporting cast member for season 7 in 2024.
When Farley entered the Jersey Shore house at 23, she was in a relationship but it quickly fizzled out. During season 3, she met Roger Mathews at Karma, a nightclub in New Jersey, and they hit it off. The pair welcomed daughter Meilani in July 2014 and tied the knot in October 2015. They expanded their family with the birth of son Greyson in May 2016. Farley revealed that Greyson was diagnosed with autism in November 2018.
Farley filed for divorce in September 2018 and began dating wrestler Zack Clayton Caprinello the following April. Following a brief split, Farley revealed in March 2021 that Caprinello had popped the question and the pair were engaged.
Pivarnick joined the show at 23, but did not immediately connect with the cast. In fact, she got in to many altercations with most members of the show, leaving the house multiple times through the series. However, she returned for Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. She married Chris Larangeira in November 2019.
In February 2022, Larangeira filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences" which caused a "breakdown of the marriage for a period of at least six months." Pivarnick soon got together with Vinny Tortorella, who proposed during an April 2023 episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.
At 22, Giancola entered the Jersey Shore house and called herself the “sweetest bitch you’ll ever meet.” She briefly connected with Mike, but ultimately decided to enter into a relationship with Ortiz-Magro. The two had a messy on-again and off-again relationship through the entire series and moved in together when the show ended. Eventually, they split and Giancola began dating Christian Biscardi in April 2017. He proposed in March 2019.
In April 2020, the couple postponed their wedding due to the coronavirus pandemic, and by July 2021, they'd called it quits. Giancola has since moved on with Justin May. The pair got engaged in March 2024 and announced they are expecting their first child one year later.
After sitting out the first five seasons of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, Giancola returned for season 6 in summer 2023.
Guadagnino was 22 when Jersey Shore began. During the series, he became best friends with DelVecchio, and the two remained close through the duration and after the show ended. The two hosted a dating show, A Double Shot of Love, in 2019 — but neither found a relationship. In April 2019, he started a residency as a guest dancer at Chippendales in Las Vegas and later revealed he'd lost a ton of weight on the keto diet.
Guadagnino caused a stir in fall 2022 when he publicly flirted with The Bachelorette’s Gabby Windey while they both competed on season 31 of Dancing With the Stars. Guadagnino exclusively told Us in December 2022 that the pair “have great chemistry,” but they never became an item. (Windey announced in August 2023 that she has a girlfriend named Robby Hoffman.)
The Deadpool & Wolverine actor, 48, was not in attendance for the Sunday, February 23, event at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles. Though he had never been confirmed to appear, some wondered if he’d attend to support his superhero flick’s SAG Awards nod.
Reynolds’ film Deadpool & Wolverine — which he starred in, cowrote and produced — was nominated for Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture at the awards show. The Marvel movie was up against Dune: Part Two, The Fall Guy, Gladiator II and Wicked, and The Fall Guy ultimately won the category. (Like Reynolds, The Fall Guy stars Emily Blunt and Ryan Gosling also were not seen at the 2025 SAG Awards. The stunt categories were announced during the red carpet preshow.)
The SAG Awards come amid a turbulent time for Reynolds and Lively, 37, as the couple — who tied the knot in September 2012 and share daughters James, 10, Inez, 8, and Betty, 5, and son Olin, 2 — face off against her It Ends With Us director and costar, Baldoni, in a highly contentious legal battle that began in December 2024.
Lively has accused Baldoni, 41, of sexual harassment and a smear campaign against her, which he has vehemently denied. Baldoni subsequently filed a $400 million defamation lawsuit against Lively, Reynolds and Lively’s publicist Leslie Sloane in January, with Lively’s legal team telling Us Weekly at the time that Baldoni’s case would ultimately “fail.”
Lively and Reynolds have kept a relatively low profile amid the ordeal. He skipped the 2025 Golden Globe Awards in January despite Deadpool & Wolverine’s nomination for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement. (The Marvel film ultimately lost to Wicked.)
Regardless of the optics, a source told Us at the time that Reynolds and his costar Hugh Jackman “were not confirmed to attend” the Golden Globes and their decision to miss the event had “nothing to do” with the legal dispute.
Reynolds and Lively later stepped out for the SNL 50 Anniversary Special in New York City on February 16. During the broadcast, he joked about the It Ends With Us drama in a Q&A segment with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
When asked by Fey, 54, and Poehler, 53, how he was doing, Reynolds replied, “[I’m doing] great. Why, what have you heard?”
Lively, meanwhile, maintained a blank expression while seated next to Reynolds during the exchange.
The day after the special aired, Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedmanreacted to the moment.
“I’m unaware of anybody, frankly, whose wife has been sexually harassed and has made jokes about that type of situation. I can’t think of anyone who’s done anything like that,” Freedman said on the “Hot Mics With Billy Bush” podcast. “So it surprised me.”

Kieran Culkin is no stranger to unfiltered comments at awards shows — and his acceptance speech at the 2025 SAG Awards is no exception.
“Thank you SAG-AFTRA for this incredibly heavy award,” Culkin, 42, said upon accepting his trophy for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in A Real Pain at the Sunday, February 23, awards show. “I don’t think there’s any way anyone can hold this for 45 seconds. Which is the allotted time, Adrien Brody, 45 seconds.”
After Culkin’s jab at The Brutalist actor, who is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role, he immediately clarified it was said in jest and there are no hard feelings between the two men.
“There was no reason to take that shot,” Culkin said. “I love you, it’s a joke. You take your time. Lord knows I will because I didn’t think of anything.”
The camera then panned to Brody, 51, who was seen laughing at Culkin’s comment.
Despite calling out the length of his fellow actor’s awards show speeches, Culkin went on to go over his own allotted time.

“It is funny that the heaviest of all awards is the one that’s given by actors. It’s, like, you know, ‘Us, what we do means so much,’” he joked as he carried on, sporadically counting down how much time he had left throughout his speech. “Anyway, sorry moving on. I see the clock ticking. Moving on.”
Culkin continued: “Believe it or not, this actually means a lot to me. It does. It’s hard to be sincere after that. Or in general. But yeah, thanks — it actually is a huge honor. Thirteen, 12, 11. I haven’t said anything.”
The Succession alum went on to thank Jesse Eisenberg, his costar and the writer and director of A Real Pain, whom Culkin claims had never seen any of his work prior to casting him in the film.
“I do want to talk about one actor. Five seconds. Jesse Eisenberg, who’s a great actor, great director, brilliant scene partner,” Culkin said. “For those of you who don’t know, he cast me in this movie without auditioning me, or seeing my work in anything ever … He cast me because his sister told him to and he puts a lot of faith in her which is really sweet but dumb. So yes thank you Jesse for putting me in this movie but I want to take a moment to thank your sister Hallie. Thank you Hallie for thinking of me and putting my name in your stupid brother’s ear.”
He wrapped up his speech by rapidly expressing gratitude for those in his life, including his team, his wife, Jazz Charton, and his mom, who was in attendance at the award show.
Both Culkin and Brody have had immensely successful awards seasons thus far, with both actors racking up trophies at the BAFTA Awards, Golden Globe Awards and Critics’ Choice Awards. They are also both nominated for Academy Awards for their respective performances.
Meghan Markle is sharing a glimpse of her home life as a mom of two.
“A small break from work to soak in the weekend,” the Duchess of Sussex, 43, wrote over the beginning of a series of clips of her backyard via her Instagram Story on Sunday, February 23.
Markle walked to a lilypond in one clip, while in another she crouched down to pat a dog who trotted in front of her. In the next video, Markle showed a close-up shot of the flowers blooming from trees in her yard. “First blooms and blossoms of the year,” Markle wrote.
As Markle watered plants in the backyard, she handed the hose to a small child, who began spraying the yard. The tiny hands looked like they could be those of a 5-year-old. (Markle shares Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3, with her husband, Prince Harry.)

Markle was all smiles as she walked with the sun shining in the background in one video, while in another she picked fruit from her tree and squeezed a lemon into a drink.
The look into Markle’s life comes days after she announced the new name of her upcoming lifestyle brand, As Ever, which was previously titled American Riviera.
“Last year, I had thought, ‘American Riviera, that sounds like such a great name,’” Markle explained in an Instagram video. “It’s my neighborhood; it’s a nickname for Santa Barbara, but it limited me to things that were just manufactured and grown in this area.”
Markle — whose Netflix series With Love, Meghan debuts on March 4 — explained that she decided to switch the name when “Netflix came on, not just as my partner in the show, but as my partner in my business” — a change she called “huge.”
“So I thought about it, and I’ve been waiting for a moment to share a name that I had secured in 2022, and this is the moment, and it’s called As Ever,” she continued. “As Ever essentially means ‘as it’s always been,’ and if you’ve followed me since 2014 with The Tig [her former lifestyle blog], you know I’ve always loved cooking and crafting and gardening — this is what I do. And I haven’t been able to share it with you in the same way for the past few years, but now I can, so as things are starting to trickle out there, I wanted you to hear it from me first.”

In a photo shared via the As Ever website, Lilibet made a rare appearance alongside Markle. The mother-daughter duo were seen in matching white dresses while walking hand-in-hand barefoot across a green field.
Jenner, 27, was noticeably absent from the Sunday, February 23, red carpet and ceremony. Chalamet, 29, however, was front and center at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles.
He channeled his inner Bob Dylan — whom he plays in the biopic A Complete Unknown — while posing for photos on Sunday, wearing a leather jacket and matching pants. Chalamet wore a lime green undershirt and bolo tie as he strutted his stuff for the cameras. The actor brief wore a pair of sunglasses before taking them off and entering the venue.
Chalamet who is nominated in two categories at the awards show for A Complete Unknown didn’t keep to himself once inside the auditorium. He was photographed mingling with his costars Monica Barbaro and Elle Fanning, who play Joan Baez and Sylvie Russo, respectively before the show began.
Chalamet then took the stage with his female castmates and Edward Norton, who plays Pete Seeger in the movie, to introduce their project which is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.
Chalamet, meanwhile, is competing against The Brutalist’s Adrien Brody, Queer’s Daniel Craig, Sing Sing’s Colman Domingo and Conclave’s Ralph Fiennes for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role. He and his costars are up against the actors from Anora, Conclave, Emilia Pérez and Wicked for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

While Jenner was not in the crowd on Sunday, she did attend the 2025 Golden Globe Awards with Chalamet in January amid his nomination for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama. (He ultimately lost the trophy to Brody, 51.)
Although the couple — who have been linked since April 2023 — didn’t walk the Golden Globes red carpet together, Jenner joined Chalament inside the event, where they were seen sharing a kiss and staying close to one another throughout the night.

Earlier this month, Jenner returned to the awards season circuit with Chalamet for the 2025 EE British Film Awards in London on February 16. She once again skipped the red carpet, but the pair held hands once they were seated for the ceremony. Chalamet was nominated for Leading Actor, but the award ultimately went to Brody.
Amid Jenner’s public support of Chalamet, a source exclusively told Us Weekly in January that she enjoys being there for him in such a meaningful way.

“Timothée is very focused on his career, and Kylie loves being on the sidelines cheering him on,” the insider said at the time. “She loves that he’s in the spotlight more than her. It’s been a breath of fresh air.”
According to the source, Jenner’s famous family has “welcomed Timothée with open arms,” while her two children — Stormi, 7, and Aire, 3, whom she shares with ex Travis Scott — have met Chalamet.
“They love him,” the insider told Us, adding that the duo are not in a rush to take the next step in their romance. “This is a very different relationship dynamic than what Kylie is used to. [It’s] opened her eyes to the more artistic side of the industry.”

Gomez, 32, walked the red carpet during the Sunday, February 23, ceremony at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles. The actress, who wowed in a black gown, posed by herself while Blanco, 36, didn’t appear to be with her at the event.
Gomez is nominated in two categories at the awards show. She and her Emilia Pérez costars are competing against the stars of A Complete Unknown, Anora, Conclave and Wicked for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, and she and her Only Murders in the Building costars are up against the actors from Abbott Elementary, The Bear, Hacks and Shrinking for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.
Gomez and Blanco have had several very busy months as of late. After getting engaged in December 2024 following more than one year of dating, the couple attended the 2025 Golden Globe Awards in January, where Gomez was nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture for Emilia Pérez and Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy for Only Murders in the Building. Although Gomez ultimately lost both awards to her Emilia Pérez costar Zoe Saldaña and Hacks’ Jean Smart, respectively, she and Blanco enjoyed a PDA-filled night out.
After hinting that she planned to step away from her music career, Gomez surprised fans earlier this month by announcing a joint album with Blanco.

“I always trick you guys my NEW album I Said I Love You First with my best friend @itsbennyblanco is out on 3/21 ,” she wrote via Instagram on February 13. “Our first song, ‘Scared of Loving You,’ is out now on all streaming platforms. Merchandise and signed products for the album are available for pre-order now. We can’t wait to share this special project with you soon!”
In the leadup to the album’s release, Gomez and Blanco reflected on the progression of their relationship in a joint Interview magazine profile published February 14.
“It was really simple. We got in the studio to work on a song and we just talked; that’s how easy it was for me. I liked him before he liked me,” Gomez recalled of their collaborations before things turned romantic.

Blanco, for his part, was initially unaware of Gomez’s feelings for him. “We were in the session and I was like, ‘You should meet some of my friends. I can hook you up with some dates.’ I hadn’t thought about it at all,” he said. “And then we were texting afterwards and we decided to get dinner the next day. I guess she thought it was a date and I had no idea it was a date.”
Blanco had a realization during their “second date,” wondering, “‘Wait, does she like me?’”
“From then on, it was easy. You know when you think you met the right person, you’re like, ‘Oh, my God.’ But it feels so different. The second we started hanging out, I was like, ‘This is my wife.’ I was telling my mom, ‘This is the girl I’m going to marry,’” he continued. “She’s my best friend.”
The actress, 44, reminded fans of her performance in the animated 2013 classic, Frozen, in her opening monologue during the Sunday, February 23, ceremony at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles.
“This is a night to honor the actor’s journey which is long, and it can be arduous, and it leads you to the question,” Bell said. “Do you want to be an actor?”
Bell proceeded to sing a unique rendition of one of Frozen‘s most enduring songs, “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” while honoring several actors’ first jobs in their careers like Jason Segel‘s role as the Watermelon Guy in Can’t Hardly Wait and Jodie Foster‘s appearance in a Coppertone advertisement.
“Do you want to be an actor? You are clearly not alone,” she sang. “Are you ready for your breakout as unnamed man or patient in ICU? Do you want to be an actor?”
In addition to hosting the awards show, Bell is also nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series for Nobody Wants This. Abbott Elementary’s Quinta Brunson, The Bear’s Liza Colón-Zayas and Ayo Edebiri and Hacks’ Jean Smart rounded out the list of nominees in the category.
While this is Bell’s first SAG Awards nomination, she previously served as the inaugural host of the ceremony in 2018. In December 2024, it was announced that Bell would return for her second hosting stint.
“Thrilled to be hosting the SAG Awards again this year,” she said in a statement at the time. “I’m honored to be asked back and can’t wait to share the evening with my fellow actors, doing what we do best … celebrating ourselves .”
SAG Awards executive producer Jon Brockett praised Bell in his own statement. “Kristen Bell’s wit, warmth and charm makes her the perfect fit for our show — a night celebrating actors and the outstanding performances of the year,” Brockett said. “Plus — everybody wants this.”
“It felt very superfluous to have an awards show,” she told People in an interview published Tuesday, February 18. “I felt, ‘We should cancel all of the awards this year and donate all of the money!’”
However, Bell ultimately had a change of heart after thinking about the impact of awards ceremonies on the community.
“I realized, ‘Wait a minute. If you cancel the awards shows, you are canceling hundreds of hundreds if not thousands of jobs for people in Los Angeles who need them,’” she explained. “Gig workers, musicians, hairstylists, makeup artists, drivers, caterers, tech workers — it’s actually imperative to the economy of rebuilding that we have these awards shows.”
Bell hoped that the SAG Awards would be “a happy event” for those in need of a little entertainment during a tough time.
She added, “Especially having it airing on Netflix and making it seem global, it allows people to have a night of just fun, normal, goofy jokes and see all of the stars of television and film that they love.”
Moore, 62, looked beyond fabulous in a timeless gown at the awards show, which was held on Sunday, February 23, at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles. For the big night, she wore a custom Bottega Veneta dress featuring a strapless leather bodice and a pleated tiered skirt.
Moore kept it simple and let her look stop there. She accessorized with a diamond and gold statement necklace and a coordinating bracelet by Tiffany & Co.
As for her makeup, Moore looked stunning with a full beat including long lashes, rosy cheeks, pink lips and pearly eyeshadow. Her brunette hair was styled in loose curls.
Moore, who is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for her part as Elizabeth Sparkle in The Substance, beamed for the cameras as she strutted down the crimson rug.
Moore has no shortage of fierce looks through the years. At the 2025 Golden Globes, she turned heads in a shimmery Armani Privé gown. The champagne design featured a strapless neckline embellished with Swarovski crystals, a fitted bodice and a flared skirt that cascaded to the ground.
Moore elevated her look with Christian Louboutin heels and plenty of diamond jewelry.
For glam, the actress donned a full beat including sparkly gold eyeshadow that perfectly coordinated with her gown, long lashes and pink lips. Her cheeks were gently contorted and blushed. Moore’s famously long hair was parted to the side and styled in soft curls.
The 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards were the talk of the town on Sunday, February 23, thanks to the red-hot couples who were in attendance.
Zooey Deschanel and fiancé Jonathan Scott were among the first to arrive at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles. The pair both wore ensembles inspired by tuxedos, with Deschanel, 45, donning a Giorgio Armani black dress that mimicked a tux with the bodice that featured buttons and a bowtie. Scott, meanwhile, wore a white tuxedo jacket and bowtie.
As the night went on, nominees Adam Brody and Adrien Brody turned heads with their respective dates — and their looks were both sexy and chic.
Adam, who is nominated for his work on Nobody Wants This, brought his wife, Leighton Meester, along for the awards show. The O.C. alum, 45, wore a chocolate suit while Meester, 38, opted for an Elie Saab lace-inspired gown with Santoni heels.
Adrien, who is nominated for The Brutalist, was all smiles while walking the red carpet with his girlfriend, Georgina Chapman. The 51-year-old actor donned a black suit and his date, 48, matched in a tiered black dress with silver jewels.

Wicked was nominated in five categories this year — Erivo, Grande, Jonathan Bailey, Yeoh, 62, Goldblum, 72, Slater, 32, Bode, 24, Yang, 34, and Peter Dinklage are competing against the stars of A Complete Unknown, Anora, Conclave and Emilia Pérez for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.
In the individual acting categories, Erivo, Grande and Bailey each earned nods. Erivo is up for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role against The Last Showgirl’s Pamela Anderson, Emilia Pérez’s Karla Sofía Gascón, Anora’s Mikey Madison and The Substance’s Demi Moore. Grande is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role against A Complete Unknown’s Monica Barbaro, The Last Showgirl’s Jamie Lee Curtis, The Piano Lesson’s Danielle Deadwyler and Emilia Pérez’s Zoe Saldaña. Bailey, for his part, is vying for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role against Anora’s Yura Borisov, A Real Pain’s Kieran Culkin, A Complete Unknown’s Edward Norton and The Apprentice’s Jeremy Strong.
Wicked received an additional nomination for Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture, with Deadpool & Wolverine, Dune: Part Two, The Fall Guy and Gladiator II rounding out the category.
Since its November 2024 release in theaters, Wicked has racked up a bounty of awards nominations. In January, the film took home Cinematic and Box Office Achievement at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards, beating out Alien: Romulus, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Deadpool & Wolverine, Gladiator II, Inside Out 2, The Wild Robot and Twisters.
Earlier this month, Wicked earned three trophies at the 2025 Critics Choice Awards, including Best Director for Jon M. Chu, Best Production Design and Best Costume Design. The film also received accolades for costume design and production design at the 2025 EE British Film Awards.
As awards season runs its course, Wicked fans still have plenty to look forward to in the months ahead. The musical is nominated for 10 Academy Awards — best picture, best actress for Erivo, best supporting actress for Grande, best costume design, best film editing, best makeup and hairstyling, best original score, best production design, best sound and best visual effects — in March, and the second part of the film, Wicked: For Good, is set to premiere in November.
Scroll down to see the Wicked cast’s magical SAG Awards red carpet looks:
While Erivo rocked Elphaba's signature green on her nails, she seemingly drew inspiration from The Wizard of Oz's Tin Man with her dramatic, metallic silver look.
Just like Madame Morrible, Yeoh looked magical in a pale pink and blue floral-patterned gown. She completed her look with statement earrings and a silver clutch.
Goldblum paid tribute to The Wizard's favorite color by accesorizing his classic black tux and white dress shirt with a bright green scarf. In addition to green-tinted glasses, the actor completed his look with a Tiffany & Co. watch and brooch. His shoes matched his wife Emilie Livingston's silver dress.
Yang's Wicked character, Pfannee, may be a supporting character, but he looked like a leading man in a long black dress coat, cream shirt and black trousers.

As the end of awards season approaches, Hollywood’s hottest stars celebrated one another at the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Kristen Bell returned as host for the second time since 2018. Ahead of the ceremony on Sunday, February 23, Bell opened up about whether her approach changed since her first hosting experience.
“Not at all. I’ve put zero effort into changing my comedy. My style of comedy is not roasting or attacking. If I’m going to come at somebody, it’s going to be me,” she told USA Today, noting that she planned to “acknowledge” and “celebrate” local first responders for their contributions to containing the wildfires in Los Angeles earlier this year.
Bell confessed that she initially thought “all” awards shows “should be canceled and the money should go to the fire victims,” but she changed her tune. “At first, it felt superfluous to have an awards show. Then I thought, I know so many people who lost homes in the fire. All they’re begging for is a night of normalcy and funny laughs. I felt like we could give them both,” she explained.
Along with hosting, Bell was nominated for her role in Netflix’s Nobody Wants This. Her costar Adam Brody also earned a nod for his performance. Both were bested by other actors in their respective categories.
The complete list of nominations was announced in January, honoring actors from both the TV and film worlds. See the complete list of 2025 SAG Awards winners below by looking for the bold names:

At the awards show, held on Sunday, February 23, at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles, Grande, 31, and Erivo, 38, commanded attention in looks their Wicked characters would no doubt approve of.
Grande, for her part, wowed in a pastel pink dress. The delicate look was complete with a floral silhouette, an off-the-shoulder neckline and a flowing train. She accessorized with a deceptively simple diamond Jared Atelier jewelry including a choker ($150,000), a flower ring ($30,000) and drop earrings ($15,000).
For glam, the singer got Glinda-fied via bubblegum eyeshadow and extra-rosy cheeks. She tied her look together with her hair styled in a slicked-back updo.
Erivo, meanwhile, looked chic in a silver vintage Givenchy ensemble featuring a high neck, extra-long sleeves and a floor-length skirt. She added even more pizzazz to her Tin Man-esque getup with chrome earrings, and a full beat including sparkly eyeshadow, a sharp contour and long lashes.
In true Cynthia Erivo fashion, she of course had a stunning manicure to go along with her wow-worthy look. Her nail art featured emerald and sage jewels adorned with white and silver polish.

The women posed together on the red carpet while celebrating their nominations, including Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture and Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture.
Erivo is also nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role, while Grande is up for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role. Their costar, Jonathan Bailey, is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role.
Grande and Erivo have channeled their Wicked characters plenty of times before the SAG Awards. During the movie’s press tour, Grande was constantly slaying in all-pink dresses while Erivo was looking her best in black getups.

Adrien Brody’s memorable award season isn’t complete without his supportive girlfriend, Georgina Chapman,by his side.
Before the winners were announced at the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday, February 22, the couple walked the red carpet outside the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles.
Brody, 51, looked handsome as ever in a classic all-black Louis Vuitton tuxedo and matching black bow-tie. Meanwhile, Chapman, 48, turned heads for all the right reasons as she stepped out in a fierce black dress from Marchesa with a must-see diamond bracelet and show-stopping earrings from Lorraine Schwartz.
The actor is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role alongside A Complete Unknown’s Timothée Chalamet, Queer’s Daniel Craig, Sing Sing’s Colman Domingo and Conclave’s Ralph Fiennes.
In the film, Brody plays a Holocaust survivor who makes his way to the United States to kick-start his dream after World War II.

“There was just no room for error,” Brody told Variety about the 34-day shoot. “And it’s so hard to make magic when you’re up against it all the time, and your filmmaker’s up against it all the time. It just adds so much pressure. Just debilitatingly exhausting. It’s just really excruciating, but worth the sacrifice.”
According to the publication, the sacrifice included giving up personal time with his girlfriend. “I’m not going to delve into it,” he shared, “so let’s skip it.”
Fortunately, the pair appear to be making up for any lost time together during awards season. During the 2025 Golden Globes, Brody and Chapman walked the red carpet together and shared a sweet kiss when before he took the stage to accept the award for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture — Drama for his performance in The Brutalist.
“To my beautiful and amazing partner, Georgina,” he said at the time. “Your generosity of spirit, your own resilience, your immense creativity is a daily reminder of how to be, I would not be standing here before you if it wasn’t for you. There was a time not too long ago where I thought this might not be afforded to me again, so thank you.”
Brooke Shields is recalling the time Fran Drescher supported her while undergoing fertility treatments.
While on the red carpet at the 2025 SAG Awards on Sunday, February 23, Shields, 59, pulled Drescher, 67, into her interview. “She helped me with my fertility treatments when I was trying to get pregnant!” Shields said.
Shields, who welcomed daughters Rowan and Grier in 2003 and 2006 with husband Chris Henchy, previously recalled Drescher lending a helping hand while at a party. (Shields and Henchy, 60, tied the knot in 2001.)
“When I was going through IVF I had to take shots every day and at certain times at night. My husband would give them to me but I was out and I was supposed to meet him at this party. He was late and the time arrived where I needed the shot,” Shields said in 2005, per People.
Drescher continued, “She was really, like, panicking and she was thinking, ‘Maybe I should just get in the car and go to the location where he’s shooting and try and find him because I can’t give myself the injection.’ She looked at me and she said, ‘Do you know how to give an injection?’ I said, ‘Not really,’ and then I asked my boyfriend, whose father was a pharmacist and he said he never did it either. I said, ‘You know, just tell me what to do. I’ll do it. I mean, if any junkie can do it I certainly should be able to.’ I’m the father of her child!”
Now, as Shields raises her two daughters, she’s been candid about parenting — and how she has guided them from habits she doesn’t love in herself.

“I have one that’s very much a people pleaser, and I have a younger one who’s about right and wrong, and it doesn’t matter what people think. She’s very strong in her opinions,” Shields said in a January Us Weekly cover story. “Even her reactions — I will say, ‘Aren’t you embarrassed?’ And she’s like, ‘No. No, I am not.’ And she’s 18, maybe she’ll feel differently. My older one really does straddle that, and I don’t know if it’s age, birth [order], whatever — we are the most similar, in our approach to life and our actions.”
She continued, “I’m so proud that I have cleared space for them to be able to contradict me, express their feelings and not be afraid they’re gonna be judged. And being OK if I don’t agree with them. They just have different ways of expressing it to me.”
The couple stepped out in style on the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall red carpet in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 23. Brody, 45, looked like a leading man in a chic dark brown suit, black tie, white dress shirt and loafers. Meester, 38, showed off her stellar style in an intricate, lacy forest green gown with sequined accents by Elie Saab.
In addition to wearing her new ginger locks in long waves, Meester completed her look with Santoni heels, natural glam makeup, Mikimoto pearl earrings and a matching green neck scarf. While posing for photographers, the Gossip Girl alum could be seen giggling after her husband gave her a sweet kiss on the head.
Meester joined her husband to celebrate his SAG nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series for his role on Netflix’s Nobody Wants This. The show scored a total of two nominations, including Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series for Kristen Bell, who served as the host of Sunday’s awards ceremony.
The rom-com series, which premiered in September 2024, follows Joanne (Bell), an agnostic sex podcaster, who falls for a single “hot rabbi”, Noah (Brody). While navigating their feelings for each other, their families and drastically different lifestyles challenge whether a romantic relationship between the pair will work out or not.
After Meester previously expressed interest in appearing on the show, Netflix officially announced that the Gossip Girl alum would be joining the cast for season 2. She will portray Bell’s “middle school nemesis who Joanne crosses paths with as an adult,” per the streamer’s Thursday, February 20, social media announcement. (Miles Fowler was also announced to be joining the show’s second season in another guest star role.)
The couple’s SAG Awards appearance is the latest in their recent awards show date night. Just days before losing their home in the January L.A. wildfires, the couple dazzled on the 2025 Golden Globes red carpet. Nobody Wants This was up for a total of a total of three awards — including Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy for Brody — but walked away with zero wins.
Meester channeled her inner Blair Waldorf in a stunning light green gown, which she paired with diamond jewelry and silver sequined heels. Brody opted for a darker shade of green with his suit, which he complimented with a black bow tie and a white rose boutonnière.

The duo, who wed in 2014, followed up the outing by attending the 2025 Critics Choice Awards on February 7. Meester looked ethereal in a glittering, sheer gold gown, while Brody rocked a classic black suit and white dress shirt. Brody shares a sweet kiss with his wife before taking home the award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series.
“My darling, darling, darling wife, Leighton, thank you,” he said during his acceptance speech. “Thank you for sharing this life with me and this journey with me. Thank you for our family. I love you with all my heart.” (The couple share a daughter, Arlo, born in 2015, and a son, born in 2020.) Meester, for her part, was spotted shedding happy tears over her husband’s win.
Nobody Wants This season 1 is currently streaming on Netflix.
