'Sex/Life’ Costars Adam Demos and Sarah Shahi Split After 5 Years: Report

18 April 2025 at 10:44

Former Sex/Life costars Adam Demos and Sarah Shahi have reportedly called it quits after five years of dating.

Demos, 39, and Shahi, 45, pulled the plug on their romance recently, according to Page Six. The alleged split comes two months after Shahi gave a rare update about her relationship with Demos. During a February interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Shahi explained why she would want to work with Demos again after Sex/Life.

“We’re open. We’ve definitely looked at other projects. Nothing has felt right so far, but what’s great about that is that we met as actors. So we have a really great working relationship with each other,” she noted at the time. “Obviously, we have great chemistry. And because we are in a relationship, it’s impossible to lie. I can’t look at him and fake a line. He can’t look at me and do the same.”

Shahi continued: “There’s no tolerance for any sort of bulls***. So I think we do work well with each other, and I would love to find something that he and I could do together.”

‘Sex/Life’ Stars Sarah Shahi and Adam Demos' Cutest Moments

The former couple originally met on the set of Sex/Life in August 2020. At the time, Shahi was separated from then-husband Steve Howey, whom she was married to for 11 years. Shahi and Howey, 47, who share three kids together, ultimately finalized their divorce in 2021.

“From the time that our first child was born, our relationship suffered and it was hard to get back on track,” Shahi said of Howey during an April 2023 episode of the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast. “We were together for a very long time. We were together for 18 years. That’s not a failure. That was a long time. But the last 10 years we really did struggle.”

Shahi recalled their dynamic changing after they expanded their family, adding, “Any flaws you have in the relationship before you have kids, if you don’t settle those things — that was my experience of, ‘It gets worse.’ It only gets worse. You have less time for each other, you have less patience, you have less desire because you’re just so damn tired.”

Celebrity Splits of 2025: Stars Who Have Called It Quits This Year

After joining Sex/Life, which was canceled in 2023, Shahi realized she needed to make a change. “I was going through a time where I was really sort of living in a state of unhappiness,” she recalled. “I was just questioning everything. As a wife and as a mom, you get told, ‘Well, but you have it good. You have it good.’ I just felt so unseen. … It gave me the courage to say, ‘I’m not happy. And I feel like we should as individuals have the right to be happy.'”

Shahi clarified that she didn’t start dating Demos immediately after they played love interests.

“We met each other and it was not instant,” she explained. “It was over time, it was getting to know him as a person and seeing how aligned our values were. … I also really respected how he talked about his mom and how he talked about women. There was just so much that I started seeing over time that made me go, ‘Oh, you’re kind of everything I’ve ever wanted.’ And that’s when we started being together.”

Us Weekly has reached out to Demos and Shahi for comment.

LSU Gymnast Livvy Dunne Posts Goodbye Message to Her Sport

18 April 2025 at 10:30

Livvy Dunne’s college gymnastics career is over.

Her top-ranked LSU Tigers finished third at the 2025 NCAA Championship Semifinals on Thursday, April 17, behind Utah and UCLA, officially ending their season. Dunne, 22, was a fifth-year senior for LSU. She took to X after the event to say goodbye to her sport and school as she begins her next chapter.

✌ out gymnastics it’s bean real… and of course forever LSU! 💜,” she wrote.

While her competitive career has come to an end, Dunne has plenty going on as one of the most popular college athletes in the country. She is also a model, influencer and social media personality.

Gymnast Livvy Dunne: What’s in My Bag?

Dunne also endeared herself to a new audience, baseball fans, last year when her boyfriend, Paul Skenes, was called up to the Pittsburgh Pirates. Now that Dunne won’t be spending her summer training for the next season, she said she’s looking forward to watching Skenes, 22, and the Pirates in action.

“I’m super excited to be able to spend time with Paul,” she told People in a story published April 8. “I’ve always had to train during my summers and stuff… So to be able to not have to do gymnastics training and be able to spend more time in Pittsburgh with Paul enjoying the baseball season, I’m looking forward to that.”

While Skenes is off to another electric start, his team hasn’t fared as well. The Pirates are just 8-12, sitting in last place in the National League Central. But as Dunne noted, there’s plenty of time for the team to turn things around.

Livvy Dunne and Paul Skenes' Relationship Timeline: The 2 LSU Lovebirds

“And hopefully the Pirates can turn things around,” she said. “They did not have the best series against the Marlins, but I’m excited to see what Paul can do and how his mindset and his leadership role can help the Pirates win.”

Dunne and Skenes met through mutual friends in 2023 while Skenes was a member of the LSU baseball team. They began dating that August.

The gymnast shared in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly last July that the two have had to work to keep their relationship strong.

“We’re always in different states,” Dunne said. “We try to see each other as much as possible, especially while it’s my offseason during the summer. When it’s his offseason, he’ll come to LSU and visit me.”

She added that they have had to figure out how to navigate their relationship amid the publicity they both command.

“Just being in the public eye, trying to keep things private,” she said. “That’s definitely a little bit difficult.”

Why Scheana Shay Was 'Afraid' to Speak to Emma Roberts at Coachella

18 April 2025 at 10:29

While Emma Roberts has been open about being a huge fan of Vanderpump Rules, Scheana Shay was scared to introduce herself to the actress.

During the Friday, April 18, episode of her “Scheananigans” podcast, Scheana, 39, and her guest host, husband Brock Davies, recalled their weekend at Coachella, which included a run-in with Roberts, 34.

“I also met Emma Roberts, which was iconic. I was afraid to go up to her,” Scheana admitted. “Because like, ‘I know you watch the show, but I don’t know if you’re a fan.'”

Brock noted that “there’s fans” of Vanderpump Rules that “aren’t Scheana fans,” adding, “They have boundaries.” His wife agreed about being careful when it came to introducing herself to celebrities who love the hit Bravo series.

Celebrities Obsessed With ‘Vanderpump Rules’

“I’m not going to go up to her. If I saw Selena Gomez, I’m not just going to go up to her. I know you watch the show but I don’t know if you like me,” she said. “So I had our friend go up to [Emma] and she’s friends with her. So she was like, ‘Scheana is here.’ Emma looks over and she goes, ‘You’re not going to say hi to me?'”

Scheana was relieved that Roberts wanted to meet her. “I was like, ‘Hi, I was afraid. I’m sorry.’ And she’s like, ‘What? I love you,'” she recalled. “Right then we were getting a video and you see her say ‘I love you’ in the video.”

Brock urged Scheana to use the experience as a lesson, saying, “You know what that teaches you, honey? Just approach people like they are people. Lead with good intentions and the rest will follow.”

Scheana rose to stardom after being an OG Vanderpump Rules cast member. In fact, Scheana was featured in the iconic transition from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills to the series premiere of Vanderpump Rules in 2013.

Over the years, viewers have seen Scheana get married (twice), get into countless feuds and weather the most surprising personal storms. Her time on the show has since come to an end after Bravo confirmed in November 2024 that season 12 will feature an entirely new cast.

“We all were kind of in a place where we’re like, ‘OK, if it continues, great.’ I did think there was more story to tell. We’ll just be telling that somewhere else now,” Scheana said during a December 2023 episode of her “Scheananigans” podcast. But I think the women were kind of ready to move on to another platform to tell our stories.”

Greta Gerwig Reveals Which Reality TV Show Makes Her ‘Happy’

Scheana explained that she isn’t worried about what comes next, adding, “I’m not distraught. I wasn’t shocked at all. I think the men — minus Brock — from what I’ve heard, took it the hardest. Definitely not the women.”

Scheana maintains that the news about season 12 didn’t come as a surprise to her.

“Any sad feelings that I have about not returning for season 12 are mostly not being able to work with that crew anymore. I loved the crew that we’ve had and hopefully, we’ll be able to work together on other projects because we became like a family,” she continued. “So that was definitely the hardest part. And the whole thing was bittersweet. It’s sad to say goodbye, but excited for the new servers and the next chapter of their lives.”

She concluded: “I am excited for new opportunities ahead outside of Vanderpump Rules, but I’m also a nostalgic person and it’s never easy to say goodbye. “Lala [Kent] and I had a good cry about it on the podcast, something that was such a big part of my life for so long. But also I think it was time. Honestly, it all feels right. It’s still all happening. It’s just happening a little differently.”

Lisa Rinna Hallucinated 'Killing People' During Postpartum Depression

18 April 2025 at 10:25

Lisa Rinna opened up about the serious postpartum depression she faced after giving birth to her daughters, Delilah Belle and Amelia Gray.

“I had horrible postpartum depression, but I didn’t know it,” the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 61, said during the Friday, April 18, episode of her “Let’s Not Talk About the Husband” podcast. “I didn’t know what it was. When you have your first baby, you don’t know. You just don’t know.”

Rinna noted that she struggled with the mental health condition for 15 months after welcoming Delilah, now 26, in 1998. After she gave birth the second time and the depression returned, her husband, Harry Hamlin, became alarmed.

“You said, ‘I’m gonna kill you,’” Hamlin, 73, recalled of the period after Amelia, 23, was born in 2001. “And I said, ‘You better call [your OB-GYN] right now.’ You said, ‘You better watch out. I feel like killing you.’ You said, ‘Keep the knives in the drawer.’”

Lisa Rinna, Harry Hamlin Would Be 'Divorced' If She Didn't Take This Action

Rinna didn’t remember threatening to kill her spouse, but she did remember having violent “visions” at the time.

“I was having horrible hallucinations of killing people and I needed to take the knives out of the house. And I also had horrible visions of driving the car into a brick wall,” the former soap star explained. “I did not have horrible visions about hurting the baby in any way, shape or form. It wasn’t about that. It was about hopelessness, darkest depression and these horrible visions, hallucinations. And it was the knives and it was driving the car into a brick wall.”

Hamlin encouraged his wife to call her doctor, who prescribed antidepressants to treat the condition.

“It worked instantly, changed the whole thing,” Rinna said. “It changed the game instantly.”

Rinna went on to note that her first experience with postpartum depression didn’t involve the same “visions” she had after welcoming Amelia.

Lisa Rinna Jokes About Harry Hamlin 'Crawling Back' to Her After 1st Date

“[The first time] I was just hopeless. That’s the word,” she explained. “I was just absolutely hopeless. Like a huge dark cloud all over me. I don’t know how to describe it, because mine didn’t manifest itself toward the baby at all — it was toward me. I would say, looking back, I was completely psychotic.”

The former Bravo star concluded the discussion by noting the importance of speaking openly about postpartum depression, as so many people face it without support.

“Listen, I don’t think any woman should suffer or have to suffer going through postpartum depression,” she said. “And I know a lot do, and I know a lot do in silence.”

‘9-1-1’ Burning Questions From Fans After Bobby Nash’s Shocking Death

18 April 2025 at 10:22

Peter Krause said goodbye to 9-1-1 with his character Bobby Nash’s shocking death, but fans of the long-running series still have questions about what went down — and what is coming next.

The second half of the ABC series’ epic two-part “Contagion” event, which aired on Thursday, April 17, saw Chimney (Kenneth Choi) continuing to deteriorate after contracting a rare and deadly virus following a massive lab explosion. While Buck (Oliver Stark) and Athena (Angela Bassett) tracked down the one dose of anecdote that exists to save him, it was revealed during the episode’s final moments that Captain Bobby Nash’s suit had been compromised, causing him to contract the virus as well.

After confessing that he hid the truth in order to save his team, Bobby had a tearful goodbye with Buck and his wife, Athena, before succumbing to his illness. The death came as a devastating shock and loss to fans, as Krause has been a leader of the series since it premiered in 2018.

“I had been toying with the idea for a couple of seasons, actually, maybe even longer, feeling like at some point I’m going to have to do this,” showrunner Tim Minear told Deadline of killing off a major character in an interview published on Thursday, April 17. “And then once I came up with this idea for the lab leak episode, that’s when it solidified for me that it was time to do it, it felt like a real opportunity to give somebody an epic Wrath of Khan-like death.”

‘9-1-1’ Showrunner Teases [Spoiler] Will Return After Character's Death

He continued, “When it came down to deciding who should that be, I wanted it to be a character that affected all the characters’ stories in a very specific and yet different ways. There was only one man for the job, and it was Bobby.”

Minear admitted that losing Bobby — and Krause — was a “wrenching decision.”

“I adore Peter, and he’s so great on the show, really the backbone of the show in so many ways, which is why it was both a terrifying decision but also, creatively, I just knew that it would be so meaningful and have such repercussions and give me so much story for the show,” he said. “Once I had made that choice, suddenly the world of the show seems so much more real to me, just feeling the grief of the characters and feeling just how that nuclear bomb going off in the center of that universe affected everything. Suddenly, everything just felt weirdly more alive to me.”

Despite Minear feeling strongly about Bobby’s death, many fans have had different feelings about the decision. Keep scrolling for their biggest burning questions after “Contagion”:

Why Did Bobby Die So Quickly?

Although the twist of Bobby also being infected with the virus and choosing not to reveal his symptoms in order to save Chimney’s life was an effective twist — and a heroic move for the captain — fans are curious as to why Bobby died so quickly while Chimney held on for two entire episodes before taking the vaccine.

Yes, Bobby’s breathing tube was compromised with a hole, but that likely would let less toxins into his otherwise secure mask, while Chimney was fully breathing in the contaminated air for hours. Had the show let Bobby die slightly more slowly, he would have been able to say goodbye to the rest of the 118, instead of just Buck and Athena.

Why Didn’t the Rest of the 118 Get to Say Goodbye?

9 1 1 Burning Questions From Fans After Bobby Nash s Shocking Death
Disney/Christopher Willard

Yes, Chimney and Hen (Aisha Hinds) were injured, but they were still in the vicinity of the lab when it was revealed that Bobby would not survive, leading to viewer confusion over why they didn’t have a chance to say goodbye. Ravi (Anirudh Pisharody) was also there, as was Karen (Traci Thoms). It’s also surprising that Maddie (Jennifer Love Hewitt) did not make her way down to the lab for Chimney and instead stayed at the 9-1-1 call center.

While someone getting to say farewell to their loved one before their death isn’t exactly how real life works, it is how 9-1-1 works. Bobby has been the heart of the 118 since 9-1-1 premiered in 2018, and the crew’s found family dynamic is one of the most alluring parts of the series. Everyone getting a chance to part ways with their beloved captain would have been just as, if not more, devastating for many viewers.

The good news? It seems like Bobby will be making his way back — in some form — to the show before season 8 ends, according to Minear. “I will say that episode 15 is not Peter Krause’s final appearance this season,” Minear told Variety in a April 17 interview. (Krause was also recently spotted on set in various social media posts from his costars.)

Now That Bobby Is Dead, Where Does Athena Go From Here?

9 1 1 Burning Questions From Fans After Bobby Nash s Shocking Death
Disney/Christopher Willard

Longtime fans of the series will know that Athena was married before to ex-husband Michael Grant (Rockmond Dunbar) and they share two children. However, it was revealed during the season 3 episode “Athena Begins” that she also lost her fiancé, Emmett (Jeff PIerre), earlier in life when he died during a grocery store robbery.

This means Bobby is the second significant other Athena has lost. The pair were also building a new home for themselves after a fire burned down their old one. Bassett, for her part, previously said that Athena without Bobby on 9-1-1 was something she couldn’t picture.

“I don’t even know what the show would be like without them together,” she told People in a March interview. “It’s hard to imagine.”

Athena is a strong woman, but will she be able to move forward from this? Will Bassett want to remain on the series without her counterpart? And how will this bring her kids, May (Corinne Massiah) and Harry (Elijah M. Cooper), back as series regulars?

Will This Signal Eddie’s Return? And Oh Yeah, Where Was He?

9 1 1 Burning Questions From Fans After Bobby Nash s Shocking Death
Disney/Christopher Willard

Eddie (Ryan Guzman) has been in Texas dealing with repairing his relationship with son Christopher (Gavin McHugh) for the past handful of episodes, which means he wasn’t on site for Bobby’s death. He also wasn’t given a phone call or heads up — at least, not that the audience witnessed.

While it’s difficult enough to see a beloved member of the 118 so far away from the rest of his crew, leaving him out of Bobby’s death felt off for many fans. At least Hen, Chimney and Ravi were all shown reacting to the devastating news. Eddie is a core member of the 118 — in Texas or otherwise — and his absence caused some viewers to feel slighted by not getting to witness his reaction. (A phone call from his best friend Buck would have even sufficed.)

According to Minear, Eddie not being present for the devastation will play a part in his upcoming story line.

“Eddie experienced it in a different way. He wasn’t there,” Minear told The Hollywood Reporter. “He got a phone call. So in a way, I think what Eddie’s feeling is, “Would it have been different if I had been there?” So that’s not going to be easy for him, but we’re going to see all that in these last three episodes.”

So Eddie will eventually learn of the news (off screen) and a promo for episode 16 has revealed he will be back for Bobby’s funeral. The question is — will he stay? Christopher is back under Eddie’s roof full time, so will the pair relocate back to Los Angeles to be there for the 118 in this time of need? Because if Bobby’s death won’t bring him back, what will?

Who Will Be the New Captain of the 118?

9 1 1 Burning Questions From Fans After Bobby Nash s Shocking Death
Disney/Christopher Willard

It’s hard to even process now, but it’s an unavoidable plot point that will have to be addressed. Bobby’s death is not the first time we’ve seen the 118 without him — season 7 followed the crew as they were forced to work with the station’s former captain Vincent Gerard (Brian Thompson), a notably problematic man, after Bobby briefly resigned. Although Gerard eventually moved on to consult for the firefighter procedural series Hotshots, fan videos circulating online have shown Thompson on set attending emergencies with the main cast.

It could be Gerard (but please, let that not be the case), or Hen could take the spot after previously filling in during Bobby’s absences. There’s also a possibility of Chimney stepping up after Bobby sacrificed himself, or a brand new captain may be introduced. Chris O’Donnell, who is set to lead the new 9-1-1: Nashville spinoff, could also make a temporary appearance to kick off his new show.

What will happen remains to be seen, but for many fans, none of the options feel quite right.

'9-1-1' Main Character Killed Off in Devastating 2-Part Event After 8 Years

How Will Chimney Cope With Bobby Sacrificing Himself?

There is about a zero percent chance anyone in the 118 takes the news of Bobby’s death well in the remaining episodes of season 8, but chances are Chimney is going to handle things worst of all. He is, after all, the person Bobby sacrificed himself for.

In the promo for season 8, episode 16, Chimney can be seen sitting on a rooftop ledge. When Buck tells him, “Nobody blames you,” Chimney replies in anger, “I blame him. He gave his life so I could live.”

Chimney has been historically known to be one of the most balanced, well-tempered firefighters on the show, keeping his cool through even the most stressful, heartbreaking situations — but will Bobby’s death change him forever?

9-1-1 airs on ABC Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET.

3 Underrated Peacock Movies to Watch This Weekend (April 18-20)

18 April 2025 at 10:01

Unlike many of its streaming rivals, Peacock doesn’t always add new movies throughout the month.

To find the underappreciated gems, you’ll have to dive deep into Peacock’s movie library.

Fortunately for you, Watch With Us has already done the work for the upcoming Easter weekend.

This week’s picks for the three underrated Peacock movies that you need to watch include a heist film, a sci-fi rom-com and a man vs. beast thriller.

10 Best TV Shows on Peacock Right Now (April 2025)

‘The Italian Job’ (2003)

The Fate of the Furious director F. Gary Gray had some prior experience with action heists from his 2003 remake of The Italian Job. Mark Wahlberg stars as Charlie Croker, one of the surviving members of the crew led by John Bridger (Donald Sutherland). During the team’s last heist, Steve Frazelli (Ed Norton) turned on his friends, murdered John and stole their misappropriated gold out from under them.

To avenge their leader, Charlie recruits John’s daughter, Stella Bridger (Charlize Theron), to help them trick Steve and reclaim their stolen gold. Unfortunately for the team, Steve isn’t an easy mark and he’s already looking over his shoulder for a double-cross. For Charlie and his ragtag crew, finishing this job is going to take a little finesse and a lot of luck.

The Italian Job is streaming on Peacock.

‘Timer’ (2009)

Buffy the Vampire Slayer standout Emma Caulfield takes the lead in Timer, a romantic comedy with a slight sci-fi twist. In this world, science can accurately predict when two soulmates will meet if they’re both equipped with a TiMER in their bodies. As Oona O’Leary (Caufield) discovers, her TiMER is useless because her would-be partner has never purchased one.

If You Have to Watch 1 Drama Show This April, Stream This 1 Now

Without the benefit of a TiMER telling her who she should be with, Oona develops feelings for two guys: Mikey Evers (John Patrick Amedori) and Dan (Desmond Harrington). Just as Oona gets used to working things out for herself, her TiMER finally activates.

Timer is streaming on Peacock.

‘Beast’ (2022)

If your idea of a great Easter weekend involves Idris Elba fighting a man-eating lion to the death, then you’re in luck. Beast casts Elba as Dr. Nate Samuels, a man who is attempting to emotionally reconnect with his daughters, Meredith (Iyana Halley) and Norah (Leah Sava Jeffries), following the death of their mother.

It turns out that trying to survive a killer lion is a great bonding experience, if everyone survives. This vacation to a South African jungle preserve goes sideways pretty quickly, leaving Nate and his daughters trapped with his badly wounded friend, Martin Battles (Sharlto Copley), as the king of the jungle follows their every move.

'Ransom Canyon' Stars Talk Love Triangle — Including Possible Endgame Twists

18 April 2025 at 10:00

Ransom Canyon has several love triangles to root for — but there’s something about Lucas, Lauren and Reid that has Us obsessed.

The Netflix series, which premiered on Thursday, April 17, is based on Jodi Thomas‘ book series about a town that is full of drama, romance and hope in Texas Hill Country. In one corner of Ransom Canyon, high school students Lucas (Garrett Wareing) and Reid (Andrew Liner) vying for Lauren’s (Lizzy Greene) heart. (The season started with Lauren secretly dating Lucas after breaking up with Reid.)

“We get thrown into it immediately in this show,” Wareing, 23, told Us Weekly during a joint interview with Greene, 21, and Liner, 24. “I remember receiving the scripts and being like, ‘Who are all these people?’ There were so many names and different story lines that are being introduced. It was really just about focusing up on what each of our characters are doing.”

Liner called it “fun” to just jump in, adding, “Usually where we start is more of a climax moment for a different version of this show. We had a whole bunch of layers that we got to play with going into the world.”

Meet the Hot Cowboys From Netflix's New Romantic Western 'Ransom Canyon'

Speaking of moments that weren’t actually on screen, how much Lucas, Lauren and Reid content didn’t make the cut? Liner confirmed there were unaired scenes between him and Niko Guardado in addition to more moments that “really developed” the Reid and Lauren relationship.

“It established the relationship between us, which I think they made the right call [not including all of it],” Liner admitted. “They didn’t really need that much more focus. I think what was on the screen was a lot more interesting.”

Greene, meanwhile, learned a lot about Lauren’s family from scenes that fans won’t get to see.

“There was a lot of stuff with my parents specifically that ended up getting cut for time, which just more explored my mom’s alcoholism in the show,” the actress noted. “I understand why they didn’t do it. Some stuff can just be kind of explained through the subtext.”

As for Wareing? He recalled “some sex scenes” that will ultimately not see the light of day. Ransom Canyon fans don’t have to worry too much though since season 1 is full of romantic moments between a multitude of characters — including Wareing’s Lucas and Greene’s Lauren.

Following a few obstacles during the first half of the season, Lauren and Lucas became an official couple — but not before Lucas bonded with Reid after they developed a genuine friendship.

Which Iconic TV Love Triangles Should Have Just Been a Throuple?

“I have to say that during the mud fight [between Reid and Lucas], why is there so much tension here?” Greene quipped. “But also that’s how they shot our show. Every way they shot our show was in a very intimate and romantic way.”

Wareing couldn’t help but agree before pointing out the “very charged scene” where Lucas and his brother Kit are both in their underwear as the older Russell sibling gets arrested. Meanwhile, Liner was just thrilled that Ransom Canyon took the time to explore the friendship between Lucas and Reid.

“There is something to say about male friendships in general. It feels like it is a deep love,” the actor explained to Us. “So I think that having that you see them come together as friends — because they’re not from jump — is a version of its own love story. But maybe it’s not as romantic.”

RANSOM CANYON

When asked about the potential for a love triangle turned throuple, Wareing and Liner were very enthusiastic, saying, “[We’re] not denying the poly[amorous] potential. We are opening the door [and] opening the relationship.”

Greene pointed out how the first season “opens the door for the audience” to choose who they want to see together.

“Things are set up where everyone is in a love triangle in season 1 because it opens the door for the audience to say what they like,” she shared. “Then also hopefully we get another season. It gives our writers and everyone an opportunity to see what people like and then lean into it more season 2.”

That means that the love triangle might not be settled despite Lucas and Lauren ending the season together.

Best Love Triangles in TV and Movie History Over the Years

“Depending on what the audience likes more of, who knows what they do with that next season,” Greene teased while Liner recalled his character’s final line, “He said, ‘The battle is lost but the war has just begun.'”

Greene remained hopeful about where Lucas, Lauren and Reid land.

“There is still a lot of love there and a lot of care for each other. That is kind of where everyone sits [because] there’s no animosity toward anybody. Everyone loves and cares about everyone,” she shared. “That’s why it ends up so well is because while they are butting heads in the beginning, they both really admire each other.”

Wareing, for his part, was much more clear that he sees Lucas and Lauren as the “endgame” relationship on the show, telling Us, “We saw Lucas and Lauren very happy in season 1. What does it look like when we don’t see them happy and when we are facing real world hardship? And what does it look like to feel that pull and come back together?”

He continued: “Lucas is looking to explore [life outside of Ransom Canyon] but is it worth exploring without the love of his life? That’s a question that we’re going to have to answer in season 2 — if we’re lucky. Lucas loves Lauren so much that his dream wouldn’t be complete without her.”

But what about each character outside of their individual romantic entanglements? Liner told Us he can’t wait for season 2 to dive into his family’s history more while offering quite a hot take on Reid’s decisions so far.

“He should have never gone against his family. He was trying to do the right thing and he’s figuring out what is right for him. He’s constantly in this battle of what is good,” he explained, referring to Reid going against his dad. “I think that the most interesting stuff is going to be with his dad, with his mom and figuring out that world. Because we don’t get to see much of it in season 1 — even though it’s discussed a lot and we get to see glimpses. I am very fascinated with that.”

Greene is on board with more of Lauren’s “family life” being explored. “What she sees with her parents greatly affects how she goes about her relationships. She doesn’t have a great model when it comes to her mom and dad so that’s also what fuels her to maybe make some of the decisions she does,” she added. “I’d love to see that get explored more. I told our showrunner that I just want to struggle. Give me some [issues], She was head cheerleader. She got everything she wanted. I was like, I think next season we should see her trip and stumble a little bit.” (Greene may be forgetting Lauren blowing her UT cheerleading tryout but we are always in for even more drama!)

It comes as no surprise that Wareing is in the same boat about Lucas’ loved ones. He specifically pointed out that we have yet to meet Lucas’ dad who abandoned him — and Wareing already has some ideas.

“I would love Josh Lucas to join our cast,” Wareing mentioned before signing off on Us‘ pitch for James Brolin‘s son, Josh Brolin, to play the Russell patriarch. “Honestly, I love that idea and I’ll take it.”

The other stories the cast wants to see more of are very simple: more football and more horses.

Ransom Canyon starts streaming on Netflix Thursday, April 17.
