Josh O’Connor Makes Cannes Appearance With Alison Oliver Amid Dating Rumors

Josh O’Connor looked to be the picture-perfect date at the Cannes Film Festival.

The actor was photographed with rumored girlfriend Alison Oliver on the red carpet as they departed the premiere of his new film The Mastermind on Friday, May 23. In pictures, the pair could be seen smiling at each other as they posed for the cameras alongside his parents, John and Emily O’Connor.

Oliver, 27, then held Josh’s arm as they walked down the iconic Palais des Festivals steps.

Josh, 35, wore a custom two-toned Prada suit with a pink flower on his lapel, while Oliver stunned in a black and white gown with a bow detail in the back. Her hair was down in a simple ‘do.

Although they have not publicly confirmed their relationship status, rumors of a romance began in the fall of 2024. Josh was reportedly a guest at Oliver’s sister Lauren’s South London wedding in September before the pair was seen holding hands in Bologna, Italy, in November. They even took a selfie with fans at a film and photography library.

Later that month, Josh and Oliver were seen out and about in New York City.

“Josh and Alison have a lot in common and have enjoyed getting to know each other away from the spotlight,” a source told The Sun. “Despite their huge roles, they prefer hanging out in libraries rather than big glamorous events.”

Us Weekly has reached out to Josh’s rep for comment on the nature of their relationship.

Josh is best known for starring as Prince Charles on seasons 3 and 4 of The Crown. In 2021, he won an Emmy award and a Golden Globe award for the role. The British star has since starred in Emma (2020) and the film Challengers (2024).

Oliver, for her part, made a name for herself after appearing alongside Joe Alwyn in Hulu’s Conversations with Friends in 2022. The Irish actress then starred in 2023’s Saltburn and is set to appear in 2026’s Wuthering Heights.

Who Is Alison Oliver? 5 Things to Know About the ‘Conversations With Friends’ Star

Josh was previously linked to Jonah Hauer-King‘s sister Margot Hauer-King in 2019, and revealed in an August 2023 interview with GQ that he went to school with singer FKA Twigs and had a crush on her at the time.

“I really shouldn’t be saying this, but it’s hilarious,” he said of knowing Twigs, 37. “I was in a band called Orange Output basically to try and get Twigs to go out with me. I was the lead singer, and one of the lyrics I wrote was ‘I’m addicted to crack, motherf***er.’ The closest thing I’d had to crack was Coco Pops.”

In response, Twigs told GQ: “I’m very flattered that he tried to do that because I was definitely not cool and not particularly popular.”

MAFS’ Jamie Otis Slams Critics Who Are 'Offended' by Breastfeeding Moms

Jamie Otis doesn’t understand why people have become “sensitized” to breastfeeding.

“The amount of people who get offended by a breastfeeding mom will forever shock me,” the Married at First Sight alum, 38, wrote via Instagram on Friday, May 23, alongside a video of her pumping (with a hands-free breast pump) in her car. “A woman FEEDING her baby — however she can — should be supported. No questions.”

Otis shares four children with husband Doug Hehner, including 8-month-old twin baby boys — Hawkins Tyler and Huxley James — whom she is currently combo-feeding. (They also have daughter Henley, 7, and son Hendrix, 5.)

“Breastfeeding is the most natural and primitive way to care for your infant, but yet I guarantee I’ll get comments about how inappropriate it is to pump my breastmilk out in car line pick up or nurse my twin babies in public,” she continued. “And honestly, the reason society feels so strongly about a woman not breastfeeding in front of people is bc they don’t see enough of it. A hundred years ago there would be no issue at all bc that’s was the only way to provide nutrients for your baby.”

MAFS’ Jamie and Doug Hehner's Relationship Timeline

Otis claimed that the rise in popularity of formula contributed to how people view breastfeeding today, despite it being “the most natural thing a woman’s body is made to do.”

“And just to be clear, I breastfeed AND supplement with formula so this definitely isn’t a knock on formula. I’m soo thankful for formula! I nurse my twin babies when my breast have breastmilk and I mix formula for my babies when I run out of breastmilk — no matter where I am. But yet, I feel a little shy to nurse out in public bc I know society is so judgmental about this,” she wrote. “But I believe the only way we can change this stigma surrounding breastfeeding is to normalize it in public. So here I am, showing up publicly on my own social media page trying to do my part to help desensitize the most primitive, natural way a mommy can feed her baby.”

She concluded: “I know some people will definitely come at me, but I believe with my whole heart that a mom should be able to feed her baby anywhere and anyhow — and she should not be judged or shamed for it. …so I’ll take the backlash in the hopes of helping society see breastfeeding for what it is — feeding and nurturing our babies.”

Otis was supported by fellow parents in the comments section of her video post, which she titled, “Pumping my breastmilk out at car line pick up … nothing to see here.”

“Amen! You’re doing amazing, Mama!!,” one commenter shared with another adding, “Lol. I use a cover but I breastfeed anywhere and everywhere.”

Otis met Hehner, 41, on season 1 of MAFS in 2014 after appearing as a contestant on season 16 of The Bachelor in 2012. She has been open about her difficult journey to motherhood, sharing her and Hehner’s experience with multiple miscarriages and the loss of their first child, Johnathan Edward, at 17 weeks in 2016.

Inside ‘Married at First Sight’ Alum Jamie Otis’ Nursery for Her Twin Babies

“I’m a labor and delivery nurse, so I’ve envisioned the day of having my baby more than I ever envisioned ever getting married or anything, really,” Otis said during a 2019 episode of their former “Hot Marriage Cool Parents” podcast. “I never, in my wildest dreams, would’ve envisioned that I would be delivering a 17-week-old baby who went immediately to be in heaven. Not only did he go to heaven, but when we looked at him, he was perfectly formed — he had all 10 fingers, all 10 toes. He had a little button nose. He was a perfectly formed baby who just couldn’t look at us, who couldn’t cry to let us know that he needed us. He couldn’t communicate to us and we couldn’t protect him.”

The couple has now been married for 11 years, with Otis writing via Instagram on Saturday, May 24, “There is absolutely no one I’d rather live this life with. I love you, @doughehner! Thanks for always being so loving, kind, and PATIENT with me.”

Kate Middleton’s Brother James Shares Rare Comments on Their Sibling Bond

Princess Kate Middleton’s brother James Middleton says he’s lucky to have grown up with two incredible sisters.

In a rare interview shared by The Mirror on Friday, May 23, James, 38, expressed his gratitude toward his siblings Kate, 43, and Pippa Middleton, saying he’s “incredibly fortunate to have my two sisters, not just as siblings, but as friends.”

“They’ve seen me at my best and at my lowest, and they’ve always been there when I’ve needed them,” James added of Kate and Pippa, 41, while noting his past mental health struggles. “Sibling love is something unique, you can’t choose your siblings, it can be complicated, it takes work, but when it’s strong, I believe it’s one of the most powerful bonds there is.”

Kate, Pippa and James were raised in Bucklebury, West Berkshire, England by parents Michael and Carole Middleton. They lived a typical, middle-class life before Kate began dating and eventually married the heir apparent to the British throne, Prince William, in 2011 — becoming the Duchess of Sussex and, now, the Princess of Wales. (Kate and William, 42, share three children — Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7.)

Kate Middleton and James Middleton’s Sweetest Sibling Moments Over the Years

James insisted that, despite the pressures of being a royal, Kate is a sensitive, strong and emotionally intelligent woman. He credits her, Pippa and their mother with helping him get through a mental health battle, during which he experienced suicidal ideation, in 2017.

“They’ve always been emotionally open, expressive, and in tune with the people around them, and I think being surrounded by that kind of emotional intelligence rubbed off on me, even if I didn’t fully realize it at the time,” James said. “Looking back, I think it gave me permission, in a way, to feel things more deeply and to name those feelings when they came up. That doesn’t mean I always found it easy. In fact, like a lot of men, I struggled with expressing how I was doing when I was at my lowest. But having strong women around me who led with compassion and honesty definitely helped me learn that vulnerability wasn’t weakness, it was strength.”

He concluded: “It probably laid the groundwork for me being able to open up later on, whether in therapy, writing the book [Meet Ella], or just in honest conversations with the people I love. And for that, I’m incredibly grateful.”

In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly in October 2024, James also noted Kate’s down-to-earth mentality.

“Catherine is very much on a public stage and I’m in awe of a lot of the things she does,” James shared with Us. “I think the thing I’m most proud of is that she’s still the same person that I grew up with.”

Kate, who completed treatment in September 2024 for an undisclosed type of cancer, has been an advocate for mental health throughout her time as a royal. At an “Exploring Our Emotional Worlds” event in October 2023, Kate and William made a joint appearance to discuss the importance of prioritizing wellness.

“What are we trying to improve by focusing our efforts on mental health? Ultimately, we are working to build a happier, healthier world,” Kate said on stage at the time. “We want to shape fairer, safer, kinder, more equal societies — societies that seek the common good and a better future together.”

James Middleton Worried Family Wouldn't Understand Mental Health Battle

She added: “Positive mental health is shaped by our ability to understand and manage ourselves as individuals, and to connect with others through our relationships, friendships, families, and communities.”

Back in 2016, the Prince and Princess of Wales also launched Heads Together, a campaign that works to break the stigma around mental health and encourages more people to talk openly about it.

“Catherine had been doing a lot of work with Heads Together, so there was actually more awareness of how to communicate,” he told Us of her mental health guidance, noting she was also “fantastic in supporting my parents through [my struggles].”

“I’m just incredibly grateful that [Kate and William] have been supportive of me over these years as well,” he added.

Brittany Mahomes ‘Challenging’ Herself to Stay Off Phone When Kids Nap

Brittany Mahomes is trying to find different ways to entertain herself during her kids’ naptime.

“Instead of sitting on my phone while all 3 kids nap, [I’ve] been challenging myself to do something beneficial!” Mahomes, 29, wrote over a photo of red lights via Instagram Stories on Thursday, May 22. “Read my Bible, lay in red light, even just getting outside and listening to silence is also very calming and rejuvenating for me!”

Brittany shares three children — Sterling, 4, Bronze, 2, and Golden, 4 months — with husband Patrick Mahomes, who is currently enjoying the NFL offseason. The couple have been bonding with their newborn after she came into the world during the playoff season, after which the Kansas City Chiefs advanced to Super Bowl LIX. Quarterback Patrick, 29, and his team ultimately lost to the Philadelphia Eagles, 22-40.

“I was proud of how my team fought this entire season with the expectations that we had on us,” Mahomes said postgame, according to ESPN. “But we did, we came up short.”

“It’s going to hurt for a while, but how can you respond [to] it?” Mahomes continued. “And how can you get better? How can you not be satisfied with just getting here and taking your game to the next level?”

As Patrick stays in shape ahead of the 2025-26 season, it seems he’s keeping his kids up to speed, too. He set up an obstacle course for Sterling and Bronze on Thursday — with Brittany sharing a video of the little ones in action via Instagram Stories.

“We working out here,” she wrote, tagging Patrick, who could be seen in the clip. The course consisted of a tunnel, balance beam, soccer net and a batting tee.

Patrick reposted the video on his own page with three bomb emojis.

Brittany and Patrick recently enjoyed a parents night out at the 15 and the Mahomies Foundation’s Vegas Golf Classic Gala, which took place on May 15.

“Thank you to everyone who came out to support @15andmahomies ! Truly means the world to us to have so many amazing people that show up and support @15andmahomies,” Brittany shared alongside photos via Instagram on Monday, May 19.

Some of Patrick’s teammates, including Travis Kelce, attended the event. During the charity gala, Kelce, 35, initially wanted to bid on a guitar signed by his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, but put his paddle down after realizing he didn’t need the instrument.

“No, I put my paddle up because I wanted it and then I realized, ‘Oh, I already have it. Oh, that was the guitar I have,’” he told brother Jason Kelce on their “New Heights” podcast on Wednesday, May 21.

Jason, 37, for his part, told Us Weekly that the brothers tend to enjoy downtime and reconnect as a family during the NFL offseason.

“We’re both so focused on the season that’s happening, whether it’s the Eagles [and] Chiefs or the NFL landscape for the podcast,” Jason, who retired in 2024, told Us at the 2025 Amazon Upfront in New York City on May 12. “Once we’re done with the football season, then we can kind of just refocus back on family and do some of the things that we get enjoyment [from] outside of the game.”

Nicole Kidman Discusses ‘The Most Intimate Things’ With Her Teenage Daughters

Nicole Kidman said she’s “very close” with her teenage daughters and wants to keep it that way.

The Nine Perfect Strangers star divulged details about her marriage to Keith Urban and relationship with their daughters, Sunday Rose, 16, and Faith Margaret, 14, in an interview with Allure published on Thursday, May 22.

“I do, actually [like who I am as a mother]. Yeah. I’m very close to both my girls,” Kidman, 57, said when asked about parenthood. (Kidman also has two grown children, Isabella, 32, and Connor, 30, from her previous marriage to Tom Cruise.)

“I sit on their beds and discuss the most intimate things; I get to be their guide,” she continued. “If they want to tell me to be quiet, they can. I’m able to apologize to them. I’m able to stand up to them. I very much like the relationship we have. It’s nice to be able to say that.”

Kidman, who said she’d be a teacher if she weren’t an actress, added that she’s perhaps an “over-giver” who will always prioritize her children.

“I grew up with a very strong connection to taking care of my mother and my family and being the oldest child. Put the oxygen mask on yourself first, right? Right. It sounds good in theory, but it doesn’t make sense to me when you have kids. I will do anything in terms of sacrifice. I want them to feel completely loved, completely prioritized.”

Kidman was very close with her mother, Janelle Ann Kidman, who died in September 2024 at age 84. The Babygirl star was set to receive the best actress prize at the Venice Film Festival when she received the news of her mom’s death. “I’m in shock and I have to go to my family, but this award is for her,” Kidman said in a statement at the time. “She shaped me, she guided me and she made me. I am beyond grateful that I get to say her name to all of you through Halina [Reijn, Babygirl director]. The collision of life and art is heartbreaking, and my heart is broken.”

Nicole Kidman Leaves Venice Film Festival Early After Mother Janelle Died

She told Allure, “Losing my mother changed every part of me. I spoke to her every second or third day. And because she was on the other side of the world, if I woke up at 5 a.m., I’d get up, I’d walk around the block and I’d talk to her for an hour before the girls got up, before Keith got up. That was the rhythm of my day.”

Kidman said she’s still dealing with the loss.

“I’m so raw with it,” she continued. “I feel embarrassed because I feel like, ‘Oh, you’ve talked about it enough.’ So I have to keep saying to myself, ‘It’s OK. Maybe it’s my sense of what I feel I should be doing.’ I’m trying to be quiet and have it be a more intimate thing with just my friends or my sister. The love was so profound that the loss of it … I’m on the journey of grief, the year of magical thinking.”

Chip Gaines Shares the 1 Rule He Gave His Teen Daughter Before Prom

Chip Gaines knows teens will be teens, but he’s still going to set boundaries on prom night.

The Magnolia Network star shared the one rule he gave his and Joanna Gaines’ daughter Ella, 18, before her big dance: be home by midnight.

“She blew past that,” Chip, 50, joked to Today in an interview shared on Wednesday, May 21. “But what do you do? What do you do with this 18-year-old human being that is now legally an adult? She could serve in the army if she had to, and here I am explaining that she has to be back at 12 o’clock.”

Chip explained that when he and Joanna, 47, announced Ella’s curfew, she protested with an exaggerated, “Whaaat?”

“When I was a kid, midnight was really late. I thought that would have given her plenty of time to do everything she’d want to do at prom, but apparently, it wasn’t enough,” Chip said of Ella’s reaction.

Chip and Joanna Gaines' Family Album Through the Years

So what time did Ella get home on prom night? Chip wasn’t entirely sure, but noted “it was definitely in the wee hours of the next morning.”

He mentioned that Joanna was the one who stayed up waiting for their daughter to get home as he goes to bed at 9 p.m. “Jo is extremely thoughtful in that way and I guess I’m a little bit too lazy,” Chip said.

Chip and Joanna, best known for their former HGTV show, Fixer Upper, share five children — Ella, Drake, 20, Duke, 16, Emmie, 15, and Crew, 6. Duke and Emmie also attended prom, for which Joanna made flower arrangements, this year.

“That was so sweet,” Chip said of his wife’s floral work, which she shared in a video posted via Instagram in April.

“Three of our kiddos going to prom this weekend. Garden flowers blooming just in time! This will be the first prom for one, and the last prom for another,” she wrote.

Ella is graduating from high school and deciding where to attend college. (Her older brother, Drake, is pursuing a degree in business entrepreneurship at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Texas.)

Chip and Joanna Gaines’ Best Quotes About Love, Family and Parenthood

“We can’t wait for her to decide,” Chip said of Ella’s college aspirations. “Ella has thought about Korea, she’s thought about sunny Southern California. She’s not going to be in the Central Texas area when she goes on to her next chapter. She seems excited to be able to spread her wings and do something very unique and outside the bubble.”

He teased, “With Drake, we needed to send him to college to teach him basic survival skills, like how to do laundry. Ella is on the exact opposite end of the spectrum. It feels like we’re sending this young lady off to become the next president of the United States. It’s very the sky’s the limit with Ella.”

Erin Andrews’ Surrogate Experiences Miscarriage With Second Baby

Erin Andrews is experiencing yet another hurdle in her infertility journey.

The sportscaster shared that her surrogate had a miscarriage with her second baby during the Thursday, May 22, episodes of her podcast, “Calm Down with Erin and Charissa.”

“We got some real s***ty news today that our surrogate had miscarried. So I have dealt with this before, but things were going really, really well. And her little heartbeat and her numbers were really good — so much so I even told you guys a couple weeks ago because we thought we had such good news,” Andrews, 47, said, noting that the podcast has been a safe place for her to share updates on growing her family.

Andrews, who is already mom to 2-year-old son Mack with husband Jarret Stoll, explained she hadn’t yet shared the news publicly but was hopeful since it seemed to be a healthy pregnancy.

“Been sitting here thinking about Taylor Swift’s song, ‘I Can Do It with a Broken Heart.’ I’m really good at doing this s*** with a broken heart,” Andrews said, noting that although her producer gave her the option to stay silent on the topic she wanted to bring it up.

Erin Andrews Says She’s Considering Baby No. 2, Talks What Scares Her

“I think I kinda made a promise to myself that when I was really open with how s***ty infertility has been and our journey with two surrogates, because we did lose … we had loss with our first surrogate and then luckily with our second one, we had Mack, that I was just going to be honest with people.”

She continued: “But, like I said, when I was first dealing with all these infertility issues and loss that I just wanted to let other people know that we’re dealing with them, that I get it and I understand. And I’m going to do that again. This really, really sucks but so many people are dealing with it so if you feel alone and you feel like a failure, I do too. But you’re not the only one.”

Andrews added that many families share their successful in vitro fertilization (IVF) stories but not everyone is honest about their losses.

“I just wanted to be open with people and be like, ‘This sucks.’ And today, this really does. It makes you really realize when I have my little boy, and today he was throwing a fit royale with us, it’s like, you know what? It doesn’t matter,” she said

Andrews and Stoll, 42, welcomed their first baby, Mack, via surrogate in July 2023, after years of fertility ups and downs. Andrews has been open about her journey to motherhood, telling Us Weekly in January 2023 that it was “not easy.”

“It’s been one of the most challenging things in my life, and I know in my husband’s life as well,” she told Us at the time.

Reflecting on the biggest lesson she’s learned from her experience with IVF, she said, “I can take about 50 needles in my stomach and just handle it better than my husband ever could. He’s always in the other room watching Seinfeld. I’m like, ‘Don’t worry, I’ve got this, just stabbing myself for the 50th time.’ You know that you’re strong and that you can deal with it and it will get better.”

Andrews and Stoll tied the knot in June 2017 after nearly five years of dating. In 2016, amid hoopla surrounding her stalker trial, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer and received treatment. She continued on with her career as an NFL analyst and, after two surgeries, she was pronounced cancer-free.

Stars Who Struggled to Conceive Children Share Their Fertility Issues

“After the trial everyone kept telling me, ‘You’re so strong, for going through all of this, for holding down a job in football, for being the only woman on the crew,’” Andrews told Sports Illustrated in 2017. “Finally I got to the point where I believed it too. ‘Hey, I have cancer, but dammit, I am strong, and I can do this.’”

Andrews is keeping the same mentality when it comes pushing through pregnancy loss.

“We’ll be good. I was saying to Jarret today .. .this is like the hardest part,” Andrews admitted on her podcast. “But I just didn’t want to be back here in the loss column.”

Love Is Blind’s Amber Gets Real About Her ‘Unaesthetic’ Postpartum Body

New mom Amber Pike is struggling to fully accept her postpartum body.

The Love Is Blind alum, who welcomed a baby girl with husband Matt Barnett in April, got real about her linea nigra — a dark, vertical line that typically appears on the abdomen during pregnancy — in a post shared via Instagram on Tuesday, May 20.

Displaying her postpartum figure in a photo and video labeled “unaesthetic mom things,” Pike, 33, wrote, “Constantly being ocd triggered because your linea negra [sic] is crooked and not centered on your belly button.”

The caption for her Instagram post continued: “There’s a lot about my body that has changed with pregnancy obviously, and I do think I’ve coped with most of it pretty well because I accepted early on that having my baby girl would mean being remade into a new person — what I wasn’t ready for is one of those changes being irritatingly crooked! Don’t get me wrong, I can handle the new markings, but I’m the kind of person that likes things even and balanced… so the fact that my linea negra [sic] is so close to being straight down the middle but is just slightly off centered drives me nuts.”

“I know it’s just a small thing and so dumb but it’s become a pet peeve nonetheless,” she added. “Is there anything that changed for yall with pregnancy that’s not really a big deal but still manages to annoy you, or is it just me?”

Followers flocked to the comments section of Pike’s post, with one writing, “Even and balanced just like your bedroom organization. Welcome to the TYPE C MOM club, we are proud to have you babe!”

Pike responded to the messy room comment: “lmfao when it’s good, it’s great… when it’s not… it’s reallyyyyy notttt.”

She also replied to a fan who mentioned a decline in oral health after welcoming babies.

“Oof yesss, I’m honestly dreading having to go back to the dentist and hear what they say after 9 months of vomiting nonstop from the HG,” Pike shared.

Another fan noted that the crooked linea nigra would “bug” her too, with Pike responding, “Thanks so much babe, the random ocd struggles be cray.”

According to the Cleveland Clinic, “the linea nigra is caused by an increase in hormones and fades once your baby is born.”

Pike has been open about her postpartum journey over the last six weeks. On April 27, she shared another “unaesthetic mom thing”: her shoes not fitting due to her swollen feet.

“So I’m realizing there’s a lot that people glaze over about having a baby, like how people may mention your feet swelling when pregnant but… they forget to explain that could mean having to replace all your favorite shoes,” she wrote via Instagram alongside photos of her feet in sandals. “Ngl I’m pretty disappointed that the @rainbowsandals that I spent years and innumerable blisters breaking in so that they were molded perfectly to my feet now leave my toes hanging over the edge. The odds of having to replace your entire shoe closet after birth may be low, but they’re never zero.”

Love Is Blind’s Amber Pike Gives Birth to 1st Baby With Matt Barnett

Pike also shared a candid post on Mother’s Day about her pregnancy and birth story, deeming it “the most intense hazing experience.”

“From being told that I wouldn’t be able to get pregnant, to being told that if I did it would likely be a still birth, to twice weekly infusions and injections for thirty weeks, to all of the scares and testing, to finally having a healthy happy baby in my arms that is literally the most precious thing I’ve ever encountered — I feel like I’ve been through the most intense hazing experience ever but have finally made it to the other side and feel so honored and blessed to be in this league of extraordinary moms,” she shared. “From the outside looking in I thought I knew what it was all about, but now that I’m here… I don’t just know — I understand. Happy Mother’s Day to all my fellow Mamas.”

Barnett, 34, shared a Mother’s Day dedication to his wife on May 11, writing that “becoming a mother wasn’t easy” for Pike.

He added, “And being a new mom can be crazy exhausting, but you show amazing strength every day and I’m proud to have you as the mother of our beautiful little girl. You truly are the best mom! Happy Mother’s Day! @atypicalamber.”

Pike and Barnett met and tied the knot on season 1 of Love Is Blind, which was filmed in Georgia in late 2018 but aired in February 2020. Ever since the pair got married on TV, they have offered supporters a glimpse into their relationship on social media but have chosen not to be a part of any Love Is Blind reunions.

“We are together IN SPITE of that show not because of it,” Pike shared via Instagram in 2023, adding, “I told them to stay away from us.”

Jennifer Lawrence Details Filming ‘Die My Love’ While 5 Months Pregnant

Jennifer Lawrence opened up about the experience of filming postpartum thriller Die My Love while five months pregnant with her second child.

Although the subject matter was tough to tackle as a mother herself, Lawrence, 34, admitted her “great hormones” allowed her to take on the character.

“A part of what she’s going through is the hormonal imbalance that comes with postpartum, but she’s also having an identity crisis. ‘Who am I as a mother? Who am I as a wife? Who am I as a sexual person to my husband? Who am I as a creative?’ And, I think, she’s plagued with this feeling that she’s disappearing,” Lawrence explained to reporters at a Cannes Film Festival press conference on Sunday, May 18. “For me, I was four-and-a-half, five months pregnant when we shot, I had great hormones, I was feeling great, which really was the only way I would be able to dip into some of this visceral emotion.”

The Lynne Ramsay film, which costars Robert Pattinson as Lawrence’s onscreen husband, debuted at the Cannes on Saturday, May 17, to solid reviews and a nine-minute standing ovation. It is based on author Ariana Harwicz’s 2017 novel of the same name, which follows a couple’s marriage as it’s thrown into disarray amid the wife’s mental health struggle.

Pregnant Jennifer Lawrence Cradles Baby Bump on the Red Carpet

“As a mother, it was really hard to separate what I would do as opposed to what she would do. And it was just heartbreaking,” Lawrence told reporters of her character, who enters psychosis while battling postpartum depression. “I had just had my firstborn, and there’s not really anything like postpartum. It’s extremely isolating, which is so interesting. When Lynne moves this couple into Montana, she doesn’t have a community. She doesn’t have her people. But the truth is, extreme anxiety and extreme depression is isolating, no matter where you are. You feel like an alien.”

Lawrence, who shares son Cy, 3, and a second baby, born this year, with husband Cooke Maroney, added that “having children changes everything. It changes your whole life. It’s brutal and incredible.”

“Not only do [my kids] go into every decision of if I’m working, where I’m working, when I’m working, they’ve taught me — I mean, I didn’t know that I could feel so much,” she said, “and my job has a lot to do with emotion. It’s almost like feeling a blister or something — like, so sensitive. So they’ve changed my life, obviously, for the best and they’ve changed me creatively. I highly recommend having kids if you want to be an actor.”

Lawrence has been open about how motherhood has changed her, telling Vogue in 2022, “The morning after I gave birth, I felt like my whole life had started over. Like, Now is day one of my life. I just stared. I was just so in love. I also fell in love with all babies everywhere. Newborns are just so amazing. They’re these pink, swollen, fragile little survivors. Now I love all babies. Now I hear a baby crying in a restaurant and I’m like, ‘Awwww, preciousssss.’”

Jennifer Lawrence and Husband Step Out Amid Rumors They Welcomed 2nd Baby

Pattinson, 39, also recently became a parent after welcoming a daughter with fiancée Suki Waterhouse in March 2024. He admitted fatherhood has shifted his perspective on life and his career, as well.

“What Jennifer said, I’m here just to support,” he said at the Cannes press conference. “Ever since she was born, it’s reinvigorated the way I approach work and you’re a completely different person the next day.”

Mariska Hargitay’s Family Guide: Meet Her Parents, Husband, Kids and More

Mariska Hargitay’s family has made headlines over the years thanks, in part, to her storied childhood.

The Law & Order: SVU star is the daughter of late actress Jayne Mansfield, who died in a tragic June 1967 car crash that left Hargitay with severe injuries at age 3.

Although she always thought her biological father was bodybuilder Mickey Hargitay, Mariska discovered at age 30 that her dad is actually Italian singer and comedian Nelson Sardelli. In her 2025 documentary My Mom Jayne, Mariska detailed the revelation while expressing the belief that she “grew up where [she] was supposed to.”

“I do know that everyone made the best choice for me,” Mariska said. “I’m Mickey Hargitay’s daughter — that is not a lie.”

Mariska has two older brothers, Miklós Hargitay and Zoltán Hargaitay, as well as three half-siblings, Jayne Marie Mansfield and Antonio “Tony” Cimber (from her mother’s first and third marriages, respectively) and Tina Hargitay (from Mickey’s first marriage).

She married actor Peter Hermann in 2004 and they share three children — August, Amaya and Andrew.

Below, meet more of Mariska’s family members:

Mariska’s mother was an American actress and sex symbol of the 1950s and early 1960s, arguably best known for her open personal life. In 1956, she won the Theatre World Award for Promising Personality and in 1957, the Golden Globe Award for New Star of the Year – Actress.

Mansfield was married three times — to Paul Mansfield from 1950 to 1958, Mickey Hargitay from 1958 to 1964 and Matt Cimber from 1954 to 1966. She has five children: Jayne Marie, born 1950 (with Paul), Miklós, born 1958, and Zoltán, born 1960 (with Mickey), Tony, born 1965 (with Cimber), and Mariska, whose biological father, Sardelli, had a brief fling with Jayne during a split with Mickey.

Jayne tragically died in a car accident in June 1967 at age 34. Her car hit a trailer-truck from behind in New Orleans. Jayne, driver Ronald B. Harrison and Jayne’s lawyer Samuel S. Brody were all killed in the accident, while her children — then 8-year-old Miklós, 6-year-old Zoltán and 3-year-old Mariska — suffered significant injuries but survived.

“I lost my mother when I was 3 years old, and I grew up in a house of people dealing with the tragedy in their own way,” Hargitay said at the 2024 Hope for Depression Research Foundation’s 18th Annual HOPE Luncheon Seminar. “Because there was so much grief, there wasn’t room to prioritize anyone. We didn’t have the tools that we have now to metabolize and understand trauma.”

Mariska’s father Miklós Károly “Mickey” Hargitay was a Hungarian-American actor and bodybuilder. Born in Budapest, he moved to the U.S. in 1947 and eventually became a U.S. citizen. He married Jayne in 1958 and they shared three children, Miklós, Zoltán and Mariska.

Mickey died at age 80 on September 14, 2006, from multiple myeloma, a form of blood cancer.

Sardelli is a Brazilian-born singer-comedian of Italian descent and was a well-known Las Vegas entertainer. Mariska learned he was her biological father when she was 30 years old, she revealed in her 2025 documentary, My Mom Jayne.

After meeting Sardelli, she initially fought to stay loyal to Mickey — whom she still considers her father — telling Vanity Fair in an interview that she felt she was “living a lie my entire life.”

Eventually she built a bond with Sardelli and his daughters, her half-sisters, but said that she understood why her mom returned to Mickey following a brief affair.

“I grew up where I was supposed to,” she explained.

Miklós, or Mickey Jr., is Jayne and Mickey’s eldest child, born in 1958. He appeared in New York, New York (1967) and on The Merv Griffin Show (1962), but now runs a Hollywood plant shop.

In a moving post shared via Instagram in December 2023, Mariska praised her big brother, writing alongside a photo: “I love this guy so much. Best big brother. Soulful. Protective. Nurturing. Funny. Fun. Kind. Wise. Gentle. Hard Working. Fair #plantman happy birthday Mickey love you. Best brother ever and best PLANTS ever. To watch somebody nurture plants is a thing of beauty.”

Following Jayne’s death, Mariska and her brothers were raised by their father and Siano in Los Angeles. Mariska has praised her stepmom for how she immediately stepped up following the accident.

“I called her Mom. She really claimed us. She never had biological kids of her own, and to this day we are her kids,” Mariska told Good Housekeeping in 2012.

“We were blessed that she really embraced us and loved us so quickly,” she continued. “And I was very fortunate to have a maternal figure in my life after such a horrific accident.”

Born in 1950 to Jayne and her first husband, Paul, Jayne Marie is Mariska’s half-sister. She is an actress and model, following in her mother’s footsteps when she was a featured model for Playboy magazine in July 1976.

She gave up her Hollywood career and, as of 2008, was living in L.A. and working as a money manager, Mariska revealed in an “Ask Stacy” column at the time.

Hermann is Mariska’s husband. The fellow actor and Mariska tied the knot in 2004 and welcomed three children together, August, Amaya and Andrew.

On their successful marriage, the Younger alum told People in 2019: “It’s the way we find our way back to each other. It’s this fantastically, wonderfully ridiculous way that we can swing back and forth any number of times in any given day. But fundamentally we know we have the same destination.”

“We know where we’re headed, and it’s good,” he added. “And we know we’ll get there together.”

Kathie Lee Gifford’s Son Cody Expecting Baby No. 3 With Wife Erika

Kathie Lee Gifford’s grandma — or “Bubbe” — duties are growing as her son, Cody Gifford, is expecting his third baby with wife Erika Gifford.

Alongside a video posted via Instagram on May 5, Erika — who already has two sons, Frankie, 3, and Ford, 18 months, with Cody, 35 — shared the happy news. “Gifford, party of cinco. Our little blessing on the way was prayed for, dreamed of, and is already so deeply loved. 20 weeks in and we can’t wait to meet the newest member of our crew,” she wrote.

Kathie Lee, 71, also shared her excitement in the comments section, writing, “I am beyond filled with joy that this magnificent secret is finally out! So grateful to God for His faithfulness and loving kindness, and so thrilled that both of my children married, beautiful spouses, and are incredible loving, tender and tough parents, just like I had.”

In a follow-up video posted on Saturday, May 17, Erika revealed that they are expecting a daughter in a lengthy caption about her motherhood journey.

Kathie Lee Gifford’s Son Cody and His Wife Erika Welcome 2nd Baby

“I have carried two, now three little lives within me — felt the fluttering rhythm of tiny kicks beneath my ribs and marveled at the quiet miracle of new life unfolding,” Erika’s post began. “I’ve held my babies close, heart to heart, as they’ve found rest on my chest and I’ve found ultimate peace in the present. I’ve kissed their cheeks, wiped away tears and surrendered to long nights of rocking and prayer. I laugh more than I ever have, feel more fully, and find indescribable joy in the simplest, most mundane moments. I’ve been covered in spit-up and soaked in love, and through every weary moment, I’ve found grace. Because even in the mess, there is holy ground. And I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Motherhood is the most humbling honor, the deepest love, and the sweetest blessing I’ve ever known.”

She added, “And now, I get to do it all again—with you. Our precious, precious baby girl! I cannot wait to be your mama. You’re already so loved little DAUGHTER.”

Kathie Lee commented, once again, sharing: “My darling daughter in love. This has been a very hard secret to keep! But now we can share it with the world! You are such a beautiful mother and my son is an amazing father, and I am blessed among women to call you my own this little girl is gonna rock her brothers’ world. And she is going to rock the world at large because she is loved and touched of God.”

The legendary TV host continued: “I’m so happy to share this news. Many will be praying for you until she comes into this world and smiles at us and everything changes! I love you.”

Cody and Erika tied the knot in September 2020 after seven years of dating. Kathie Lee revealed in December 2021 that they were expecting their first child, and Frankie arrived in May 2022.

“What greater miracle is there than the miracle of life? I cannot contain my joy,” Kathie Lee tweeted at the time. “Thank you God for the gift of little Frank Michael Gifford. 8 lbs. 8 oz. of sheer beauty.”

One year later, Erika announced that she and Cody were expecting baby No. 2. Ford was born in November 2023. “Thanking God immensely for another perfect ‘gifft.’ Welcome to the world, sweet sweet son,” Erika shared via Instagram at the time.

Kathie Lee Gifford’s Daughter Cassidy, Husband Ben Wierda Welcome Baby No. 1

Kathie Lee shared son Cody and daughter Cassidy Gifford, 31, with her late husband, Frank Gifford, who died in August 2015 at the age of 84. Cassidy, for her part, married Ben Wierda in June 2020, and the couple welcomed son Finn in June 2023.

Of grandmotherhood, Kathie Lee told her Today colleagues in 2022 that she just wants to be “a blessing” for her family.

“It isn’t about me, frankly — it’s about them,” she said of her children becoming parents, adding, “Don’t put guilt and burden on your kids. God knows they have enough of it already … be a blessing. Laugh, giggle and dream with them.”

Vanessa Redgrave Shares Rare Comment on Daughter Natasha Richardson’s Death

Actress Vanessa Redgrave shared a rare comment on the loss of her daughter Natasha Richardson, who died in 2009 at the age of 45.

In a statement shared by her younger daughter, Joely Richardson, via Instagram on Sunday, May 11 — what would’ve been Natasha’s 62nd birthday — Redgrave, 88, said her death is still hard to process.

“Today would have been my sister Tasha’s birthday. I asked my Ma if she’d like to say anything. This is what she dictated to me,” Joely, 60, wrote ahead of her mother’s comment.

“‘We were in Greece. We sat drinking our coffees in Constitution Square. Tony [Richardson] (my late father) said if the baby was a boy we should call him Tom. I said if she was a girl I would like her to be called Natasha after Tolstoy‘s War and Peace. Our Natasha, as yes she was a girl, came swimming out of my womb ready for anything. I can’t believe that she isn’t swimming somewhere now, in one of the pools or seas we explored,’” Vanessa shared.

She added: “‘I will never be reconciled to her dying in the snow, and I’m sure that every mother who has lost a child will have that pain always.’”

Liam Neeson’s Sweetest Quotes About His Late Wife Natasha Richardson

Natasha, who was married to fellow actor Liam Neeson from 1994 until her death, sustained a head injury after falling during a ski lesson at the Mont Tremblant Resort in Montreal on March 16, 2009. After experiencing a severe headache, she died two days later of an epidural hematoma — a type of brain bleed — at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.

Natasha and Neeson, now 72, shared two sons, Micheál, 29, and Daniel, 28.

“Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha,” a statement at the time of her death read. “They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time.”

Natasha was known for films like 1998’s The Parent Trap and 2005’s The White Countess, as well as her theater roles. She won a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for playing Sally Bowles in the 1998 Broadway revival of Cabaret. At the time of her death, Natasha was reportedly preparing to star alongside Redgrave in a Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim‘s A Little Night Music.

In a 2024 interview with People, Neeson said his focus following his wife’s death was on their sons’ well-being.

“It was a horrible thing to happen,” he said, noting that his mother-in-law Redgrave and sister-in-law Joely helped them through the tragedy.

“Everybody just pulled together,” he shared. “Vanessa and Joely were extraordinary. We were fortunate in lots of ways.”

Andy Cohen Remembers ‘Marvelous’ Natasha Richardson 15 Years After Death

Joely has shared comments about Natasha via Instagram over the years, but she opened up in a recent interview about how it took her a while to process “the shock and trauma and horror” of her sister’s “unimaginable” death as she took care of Natasha’s family.

The Nip/Tuck alum told The Times in February 2024: “It was a very strange transition that took years to happen. I wasn’t doing it consciously. I was just getting on with it as anyone does when someone dies and the family absolutely goes into crisis. It wasn’t just about children being left without a mother. It was about the ramifications for me. I hadn’t lived a day of my life without Tash. I didn’t know the world without her.”

Ashley Tisdale Prefers Getting in Shape ‘The Old School Way’ After Baby

Ashley Tisdale believes our culture’s obsession with “instant gratification” is having a major effect on new mothers and their self-confidence.

In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly on Monday, May 12, Tisdale, 39, opened up about her postpartum experience and how she’s yet to “bounce back” after welcoming daughters Jupiter, 4, and Emerson, 8 months, with husband Christopher French.

“I feel like people expect so much from moms. And I think, for me — I don’t like to use ‘bounce back,’ because I’ve never bounced back from the babies, and it’s taken me a lot of time,” Tisdale told Us while promoting her partnership with Bush’s Bluey Baked Beans. “It’s so interesting how we are into instant gratification, whether it’s through social media, going viral or, you know, taking a shot to make you thinner. I don’t judge anybody, but I just think that we are getting to a point where we’re, you know … I definitely have gotten comments on my social media. I am not what I was size wise. And that’s OK. Like, [my daughter’s] eight months old.”

Tisdale went on to explain that postpartum mothers feel pressure to get back into their pre-baby shape so quickly, despite their bodies needing to heal and adjust to things like hormonal changes. Also, now that Emerson is closer to her first birthday, Tisdale believes there’s “this expectation” to return to her normal shape.

Ashley Tisdale’s Postpartum Experience With Baby Emerson Is ‘Much Easier’

“I work really hard at working out and eating right, and I do it the kind of traditional way, the old school way, so it takes much more time,” she said, noting that she doesn’t use weight loss drugs.

“I’ve always been one to work hard, so I feel like it’s all encompassing whether it’s working out at the gym and really just doing it the old fashioned way,” Tisdale added.

“But I do think that’s really interesting that we have this instant gratification. We’re still healing, you know? Our bodies are still healing, and we should not put that pressure on [ourselves]. And our bodies are beautiful just the way they are, you know? We should be a little bit less judgmental in this time toward new moms or moms that just had a baby because to have that level of expectation — like, maybe someone else has bounced back a certain way, but that’s not everyone’s body, and that’s OK. There is that thing where it’s like, when you get past the six-month point, you’re like, ‘Why is my body not back together yet?’ But we went through something humongous and really beautiful. And so it just takes time and we should allow ourselves to have that time to do it.”

The Frenshe founder is set to turn 40 in July, a milestone birthday she says she’s looking forward to. She believes she’s worked on her “mental health stuff,” knows how to deal with her anxiety better and is heading into a new decade feeling “really good mood-wise.”

“It feels like I’m heading into a different era of my life, which is nice,” Tisdale told Us. “I’m in a place in my career and my life that I feel just really great about and I’m just super proud of what I’ve built. I just have so many blessings and having these two kids, it’s just so much fun. There’s a level of contentment, I guess, and that feels really nice. So I am looking forward to being with my family.”

Ashley Tisdale Shares Heartfelt Message to All Moms: ‘You Are Not Alone’

Tisdale also celebrated the launch of Bush’s Bluey Baked Beans at Bluey CAMP in New York City on Wednesday, May 14, which was inspired by the bean antics in fan-favorite episodes of the hit children’s show. Fans can now serve up beans in their own “Fancy Restaurant” or pick up beans for dinner like the “Grannies” with the themed-beans.

Bluey is so huge in our household. I don’t know who loves it more, my husband or the kids,” Tisdale said, laughing. “He gets super sentimental and every episode is just so good. But [Bush’s] made it so amazing for mealtime because there is something, obviously, with packaging that just gets kids to eat it. Jupiter was like, ‘Oh my gosh, Bluey’s on this. I need to eat these beans.’”

Jodie Turner-Smith Posts Rare Photo of Her and Ex Joshua Jackson’s Daughter

Jodie Turner-Smith shared a rare photo and video of her 5-year-old daughter, whom she shares with ex-husband Joshua Jackson.

In a carousel of photos posted via Instagram on Wednesday, May 14, Turner-Smith’s little girl was on hand as she got ready for an event celebrating Tory Burch’s new flagship store on Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles.

In one photo, Turner-Smith, 38, beamed as her daughter gave her a kiss on the cheek. The actress wore a navy blue ensemble complete with a long-sleeved crop top and velvet pants. Her daughter wore a gray shirt and purple pants.

Then, in a follow-up video, Turner-Smith seemingly asked her child, “[Do I look] pretty?”

Jodie Turner-Smith Speaks Out About Coparenting With Ex Joshua Jackson

“Before I drove off, my daughter said ‘remember: BE FASHION’ 💅🏿❤️‍🔥🥹 did i hit the target, @toryburch? 😸 congratulations on your store opening! 💞,” Turner-Smith captioned her post.

Turner-Smith welcomed her daughter with Jackson, 46, in April 2020. News broke on Monday, May 12, that the exes reached a divorce settlement more than a year after her initial filing. In the deal, the former couple agreed that neither party would receive spousal support. While Turner-Smith stated that the pair separated on September 13, 2023, Jackson listed the split date as September 30, 2023.

The Dawson’s Creek alum and Turner-Smith also agreed to share joint legal and physical custody of their daughter.

Turner-Smith made headlines in October 2023 when she filed for divorce from Jackson after more than four years of marriage. While reflecting on the split in February, Turner-Smith noted that she doesn’t view their relationship as a failure.

“Sometimes things we really want to work just don’t end up working,” she said in an interview with U.K.’s The Times. “And that’s OK. The most important thing is that you choose what’s healthiest for you and your family and definitely your children.”

Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith's Tumultuous Divorce Explained

Jackson, for his part, also spoke about the split and how their daughter is his No. 1 priority in an interview on Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s podcast “Dinner’s on Me” in April.

“It’s my job, shared with my ex-wife, to do everything we can to nurture you, cultivate you, and give you all the tools you need in life,” he said of raising his daughter. “But man, it is not lost on me that I am getting an opportunity to experience a father’s love in a way that I never experienced it.”

He added: “My father’s response to difficulty was to run away. And instead of doing that, I’ve had the opportunity to give my daughter the opposite experience … If I ever did anything to estrange my daughter from myself, I would be in duress. I actually can’t conceive of it because I don’t even wanna think of the pain that that would be.”

Hilary Duff Gushes Husband Matthew Koma Is 'So Hands-On' With Their Kids

Hilary Duff admits she’s currently “in the thick” of parenting but she’s surviving — and maybe thriving — thanks, in part, to her husband, Matthew Koma.

“Oh, [he’s] the best. Are you kidding?” Duff, 37, exclusively told Us Weekly of Koma, also 37, at the Baby2Baby Mother’s Day Celebration presented by Crate & Kids in Los Angeles on Thursday, May 8.

“My friends in town right now from Toronto, and I haven’t seen her for a year, and we wanted to get a workout in. So I was like, ‘We’re gonna do a 7 a.m. workout. You got the kids?’ And he’s like, ‘I’m on it. I got the kids.’ He packed lunches and made breakfast and got everybody dressed and drove them to school. Like, he’s in it.”

She added of the Winnetka Bowling League singer-songwriter, “He’s so hands-on, and then he’s also my best friend. We get in bed and just download information to each other at night, and it’s for fun. We’re really in the thick of it right now.”

Hilary Duff and Matthew Koma’s Relationship Timeline

Duff and Koma share three daughters, Banks, 6, Mae, 4, and Townes, 1, as well as her son Luca, 13, with ex-husband Mike Comrie.

“It’s pretty chaotic,” Duff said of her day-to-day life. “I’m an overworked mom. You know what I mean? I’m tired. I get into [bed] at night and I stare at the wall, like, ‘What’s happened to me? What was that like?’ But it’s everything that I love, and I wanted it. All of the moments that seem really hard are fleeting and they go by fast, and then you have the next thing in front of you. There’s so much joy layered in with all of the chaos. So it’s really fun.”

Duff admitted her house is “wild” with kids ranging from babies to teenagers, but she knows one day she’s going to look back and wish she could relive it all. Still, if she could have it her way, she’d be sipping wine on a float in a childless pool this Mother’s Day.

“One of my favorite Mother’s Day[s] I went away with my friends. I had breakfast with my kids in the morning and then we went to Palm Springs, swam and drank wine. And it was lovely. But this Mother’s Day I’m gonna be home. And my husband was like, ‘Is sleeping in the new flowers?’ And I was like, ‘Yes, please don’t spend money on flowers. I don’t need flowers. I want to sleep in. I want a card and I want to go out to a nice lunch.’ And so, I’m sure halfway through the lunch I’ll be like, ‘Why did we try to go out?’ But we’re gonna try. We’re gonna give it a fighting effort.”

Duff gave back to her L.A. community at the Baby2Baby event presented by Crate & Kids — which provided diapers, formula, hygiene products, clothing, groceries and other critical items to mothers and children who were impacted by January’s wildfires. The actress volunteered her time alongside the likes of Jordana Brewster to help distribute basic essentials to families and also shower moms with special gifts including skincare, robes, makeup, flowers, diaper bags and pampering experiences.

“I love Baby2Baby. They do such good work, all over the country — their reach is just so expansive. And the way that they get us involved, it’s just so rewarding, really,” Duff said of the nonprofit organization, which she’s been working with for nearly a decade. “Every time I get a call, I’m like, ‘If I can, I will, of course. I’m there.’ I love working with them. I love that you get to have contact with the actual mothers or families that are affected by whatever is going on. It just puts a lot into perspective and you always leave just feeling like you are so appreciative for your life, and appreciative for what they’re doing and their dedication to helping families.”

Hilary Duff and Matthew Koma Are Stronger Than Ever in 4th Year of Marriage

Duff was so impressed by all the mothers at the event who lost their homes in the Eaton fire in Southern California, yet still found the strength to keep going for their children and families.

“Getting to have little conversations with them,” she began, “It’s positive. It’s wild. It’s really wild. They’re all displaced. They all have little kids, multiple little kids, you know? And they’re like, ‘Well, this happened to my whole community,’ and they’re starting to see the light, and it’s really beautiful.”

She added, “I was just talking to someone about [how] you never really get a break when you’re a mom. You know what I mean? These moms have their kids dressed so nicely and they throw their hair up in a clip, and you could tell the mom is the last thought. You know? I’m always covered in stains. I try. I don’t know why I wear nice clothes anymore, but that’s just what it is. It’s not perfect. It’s real.”

“Motherhood is such a community, and it’s a wild ride. I’m grateful to be part of the crew,” Duff insisted.

Jordana Brewster Is Starting ‘A New Tradition’ This Mother’s Day

Jordana Brewster’s Mother’s Day is going to look a little different this year.

“I don’t have custody of my kids this week, but I’m doing this fun, like, dive into the ocean with a bunch of other moms,” Brewster, 45, exclusively told Us Weekly at the Baby2Baby Mother’s Day Celebration presented by Crate & Kids on Thursday, May 8. “It’s almost like a cold plunge on Mother’s Day. So hopefully that starts a new tradition, too. That’ll be fun.”

Brewster, who shares sons Julian, 11, and Rowan, 8, with ex-husband Andrew Form, said coparenting is all about consistency. (Form, 56, also shares a 6-month-old baby with wife Alexandra Daddario.)

“Consistency between the households is one of the most important things, and just your kids knowing that they’re supported,” she said. “And that what [our] family looks like may have changed, but the love is still there. I think that’s what they need to feel. So that comes with stability and communication, and I’m lucky enough to be able to foster that.”

The Fast and the Furious franchise star parents a blended family of six children after marrying businessman and father-of-four Mason Morfit in September 2022. She shared that therapy “can be really helpful” when it comes to the combining of households, telling Us she puts a focus on mental health and wellness with her boys.

“My sons really love to open up at the end of the day,” Brewster said. “I take them through [breathing practices]. And, by the way, we all need that, right? I’ll start driving and I’ll get nervous, and then I start doing this breathing exercise and there’s meditation techniques involved. I do the same thing with my little guy. That centers him at the end of the day.”

Brewster was on hand at the Los Angeles River Center and Gardens on Thursday to help hundreds of mothers and their children impacted by January’s wildfires at the Baby2Baby and Crate & Kids event. She volunteered, alongside fellow celebrities Hilary Duff, Lori Harvey and Lauren London, to provide families with the needed items and special gifts.

“What I really love is interfacing with other moms and talking with the kids and helping them out, and giving and donating my time in any way that I can. It’s very fulfilling,” she said. “These are all moms that have been affected by the Altadena fires, primarily, and Crate & [Kids] was generous enough to donate a bunch of essential needs, plus we’re also pampering the moms. We’re giving them jewelry and all these awesome EltaMD suncare [products], all these luxuries. So hopefully it’ll make their Mother’s Day a little bit brighter.”

Brewster hopes to instill in her sons that same desire to give back by teaching them lessons about kindness. She also wants them to push through adversity, emphasizing the importance of “grit and resilience.”

“I feel like it’s really easy nowadays to feel discouraged or beat down but as long as you’re working hard and you have a lot of self-respect, you can get through anything,” she said.

Reese Witherspoon’s Son Doesn’t Call Her ‘Mom’ — But This Nickname Instead

Just call Reese Witherspoon “Morty” from now on.

In a Wednesday, May 7, Instagram post detailing the different names she goes by, Witherspoon, 49, shared the interesting fact that her youngest child, Tennessee, 12, doesn’t call her “Mom” — but instead prefers the nickname “Morty.”

“*no clue why,” she added of her son’s moniker for her in the post, which also revealed she goes by her real name, Laura Jeanne, when it comes to government business.

“‘Reese’ to my fans, ‘Sister’ to my brother, ‘R Dubs’ to my friends, ‘Ladybug’ to my mother, ‘Pieces’ to my high school friends, ‘Miss Reese’ to my friends’ children, ‘Mama’ to my older kids, ‘Morty’ to my youngest *no clue why 🤷‍♀️,” she wrote over a clip of herself wearing a pink sweater and eyeglasses while sitting on her trailer steps on set.

“Just call me Morty 🤷‍♀️,” she captioned the post.

Reese Witherspoon's Sweetest Family Photos With Her 3 Kids Over the Years

The nickname is most likely embraced by Witherspoon, who recently expressed that she encouraged her children to be “weird” and embrace their individuality.

She reposted her production company Hello Sunshine’s quote from The White Lotus star Aimee Lou Wood via her Instagram Story on Saturday, March 15, which read, “I spent a lot of my life worrying about being weird, and now I’m realizing it could be my superpower.” Witherspoon, for her part, wrote, “I love this!”

She added in a subsequent Story: “We were out to dinner the other night — me and my girlfriend and my two boys — and my girlfriend said, ‘What is one thing that your mom says to you that you always remember?’ And one of them said, ‘She tells me, if I have a choice to be normal or if I have a choice to be weird, I should be weird and it’s OK to stand out and be different.’”

Witherspoon said the moment filled her heart “with the deepest joy” that her son learned that message from her.

“It just meant so much to me that my kids know that it’s OK to be different and that it can actually end up being your superpower,” she said.

Reese Witherspoon Celebrates 'Wonderful' Son Tennessee's 12th Birthday

Witherspoon shares Tennessee with her ex-husband Jim Toth, whom she divorced in 2023 after 12 years of marriage. She also shares daughter Ava, 25, and son Deacon, 21, with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe, whom she was married to from 1999 until 2006.

The Legally Blonde star appears to have a solid coparenting relationship with both of her exes and tries her best to raise their children amicably.

“We were always both so devoted, even once we were no longer together, that that made [coparenting] easy. They were the priority,” Phillippe, 50, said of Ava and Deacon during a March 2024 interview with Fox News. “You see a lot of times these messy situations when that’s not the case whether the kids will be used as pawns or a way to hurt the other parent. We never did any of that stuff. We never spoke ill of each other. And we were always united in support of them. And now they’re both adults, but [Reese] and I have a friendship and we still have calls about various things in their lives and it worked out nice.”

The same reportedly goes for Witherspoon and Toth, 54.

Kristin Cavallari Shares Rare New Photos of Son Jaxon on His 11th Birthday

Kristin Cavallari shared never-before-seen photos of her middle child, Jaxon, in celebration of his 11th birthday.

Cavallari, 38, posted five photos via Instagram on Wednesday, May 7, in which Jaxon posed in a burgundy suit jacket and blue tie as he stood next to his mom, who wore a little black dress.

“Happy 11th birthday to my baby bull, Jaxy,” Cavallari captioned the carousel of pics. “You’re the funniest guy I know, you’re always up for a good time, and you’re a true gentleman with the biggest heart. Never change, buddy, just keep growing into the incredible young man that you are. I love you so much.”

Cavallari shares Jaxon, as well as son Camden, 12, and daughter Saylor, 9, with ex-husband Jay Cutler. The couple, who split in 2020 after seven years of marriage, were previously very strict about keeping their kids’ identities private, but have apparently changed their tune ahead of Cavallari’s upcoming reality series, Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour.

Kristin Cavallari: 'My Heart Exploded' When Son Jax Matched Outfits With Me

“I’m really excited for people to see that, to see how normal my life is, honestly,” she gushed on her “Let’s Be Honest” podcast in March.

She added that her kids were “so fun on camera” and “were 100 percent themselves” while filming the new reality show, which premieres on Thursday, June 5, on E!. “I was really nervous the first few times I filmed, and I just assumed that’s sort of how everyone else would be, but my kids were so cute and just themselves, and it was really sweet to see.”

Cavallari said the crew also filmed the family’s morning routine of “packing their lunches and taking them to school.”

“And even after, we’d be filming at home, you know, and my kids would come home from school, and they’d run in, and they would come on camera,” she added.

Previously, Cavallari told Us Weekly that she wouldn’t let her kids do reality TV until they were 18 “and they could make their own decision.”

She said in the 2017 interview, “There’s so much pressure as is in middle school and high school, and having a camera in your face magnifies all of that. I want them to be kids and stay young and innocent for as long as possible.”

But due to what Cavallari called the inauthentic feel of her previous reality show Very Cavallari — which ran from 2018 to 2020 — she decided having the kids be a part of this new endeavor was the best decision.

“That was the one thing with Very Cavallari — my kids are the biggest part of my life. And them not being on Very Cavallari really did a disservice to myself,” she said on her podcast. “I did a disservice to myself because if I can’t show the biggest part of my life, well, now we’re having to fill in all of these areas that would normally be my kids, and we’re having to force storylines. And we’re having to basically make s*** up. And I really regret that, to be honest, because it wasn’t an accurate representation of what was going on.”

Last month, Cavallari shared rare photos of her daughter, Saylor, to celebrate the launch of the jewelry brand they created together. “It’s a big day for my angel baby!!” the founder of Uncommon James shared alongside photos via Instagram on April 15.

“Saylor has her first jewelry collection out today with [Uncommon James],” the proud mom of three continued, describing the collection as “a beachy vibe with seashells, colorful beads, flamingos plus a lot more.”

“It was so sweet having this experience with my girl and I’m so proud of her 💗💗,” she concluded.

The Laguna Beach alum also shared snaps of all three of her kids via Instagram on April 21, writing, “My favorite nights.” In the pics, Camden, Jaxon and Saylor play outside with the family dogs.

“I would never want my kids to feel exposed or, like, I took advantage of them,” Cavallari shared on “Let’s Be Honest.” “I just think it’s a really fine line with children and entertainment and media, like, in my career. I’ve just always wanted to keep them kids, and I just never want them to feel used, quite honestly. But they were really excited about filming,” she added. “It was more just a cool experience to have together.”

Ms. Rachel Shares a ‘Laugh and Cry’ Story All Moms Can Relate To

Ms. Rachel knows a thing or two about babies and toddlers but even she sometimes gets overwhelmed by motherhood.

In a note posted via Instagram on Wednesday, May 7, the children’s YouTuber, real name Rachel Griffin-Accurso, shared a relatable parenting moment involving her and husband Aron Accurso’s baby daughter, Susannah “Susie.”

“Good thing you are so cute, my little ducky! 🐥,” Rachel, 42, wrote alongside a picture of her baby girl wearing a green and yellow plaid outfit adorned with chicks.

“Yesterday she spit up all over us both. No problem! I changed my clothes and we did a nice bath to get her clean to get in those neck creases! 🛁🫧🧼As I was drying her off, she spit up on us again, worse. No worries! I changed my clothes again and this time I just wipe[d] her off. As I’m wiping her off, she pees and it squirts on our bed and goes on the floor. Now I kind of want to laugh and cry (I had 3 hours of sleep the night before!) 😴🥱💤,” she continued. “I take off the blanket and sheet from bed and wipe up the floor. I come out and realize I’m walking around with a diaper stuck to my leggings. I laugh. It’s crazy and I wouldn’t have it any other way! Love you sweet girl!”

Ms. Rachel’s Best Parenting Quotes Amid Baby No. 2 News

Commenters loved the story, expressing how relatable it was and how great she’s doing as a mom. (Rachel also shares son Thomas, 7, with Aron.)

Ms. Rachel told Today in an interview published on April 30 that the first few weeks as a mom of two have been “beautiful, joyful and so tiring.” She and Aron welcomed Susie via surrogate earlier this year and revealed her name had a special meaning.

“She’s named after my incredible mama!” Rachel told Today of her daughter and mom, “Nana Zannah.” “My mom raised us with so much unconditional love and joy. She raised my sister and I as a single mom. I’ve always been in awe of her strength. She even built us an epic tree house all herself!”

Rachel also shared she’s been relying on the advice of Dr. Becky Kennedy, a clinical psychologist and mother of three, who offers parenting support on social media.

“That made me feel better about the mess, the exhaustion and feeling like I can’t possibly do everything,” Rachel said. “Susie has started sleeping better, and now I’m functioning better.”

Although Ms. Rachel has been enjoying her maternity leave — leaving fans clamoring for updates — she assured new content will be available soon in the form of a potty training special.

Before she announced the arrival of baby Susannah, Rachel shared a reason behind her hiatus via Instagram comments.

“I’m sorry. We’ve had some family things to attend to. Nothing to do with Netflix, as that is content from YouTube,” she responded to a fan who questioned her whereabouts in March. She added to another fan, “I will make a little video tomorrow to help ❤.”

Since then, she’s shared her baby news and continues to keep followers updated with the latest Susie content.

“CAN YOU SAY MAMA? 💕,” she captioned an April 14 photo of herself matching with her baby girl in her quintessential overalls, pink shirt and headband.

Celebrity fan Reese Witherspoon commented, “So adorable ! 💕💕💕.”
