Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley Turn Red Carpet Debut Into Family Affair

New couple Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley have officially made their red carpet debut — and they weren’t alone.

The country singer, 63, and actress, 59, walked their first red carpet as a couple while attending the “Orizzonti | Rosso” Exhibition Opening Dinner at the Palazzo Barberini in Rome, Italy, on Saturday, May 24.

Cyrus wore his now-signature locks down and underneath a black hat, along with a matching black shirt, jacket and pants. Hurley stunned in a pink gown featuring a plunging neckline and dramatic cape.

The pair, who announced their relationship via a shared Instagram post on April 20, were joined by Hurley’s son, Damian, who wore a striking red suit with a dramatically unbuttoned black shirt underneath. (Hurley shared the 23-year-old male model and actor with her ex, Steve Bing, who died by suicide in 2020 at age 55.)

How Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley Connected on an Emotional Level

On April 24, Cyrus was asked if his surprising relationship with the Austin Powers star was genuine.

“She’s a great human being,” he replied while appearing on Apple Music Country’s The Ty Bentli Show. “If all we were [was] the friends that we are… I would take that. She’s so impressively brilliant.”

A source exclusively told Us Weekly that since debuting their relationship, the pair “are enjoying life together,” adding that they “wanted to make it public” and “have nothing to hide.”

A second insider told Us that the pair had “been dating for about four months” prior to their announcement. (The pair first met on the set of the 2022 holiday film Christmas in Paradise.)

Elizabeth Hurley is Ready to Introduce Billy Ray Cyrus to Her Family

“Liz’s friends have known about it for a while,” another insider added. “It’s not a new thing. She had sworn them to secrecy, and they didn’t tell anyone outside her tight circle.”

A source close to Cyrus also revealed to Us that “they’ve been friends for years, but it turned romantic recently. Things are going well.”

Cyrus revealed how the pair reconnected after previously working together, saying that Hurley reached out to him in 2024 via text.

“Hey, it looks like life might be a little bit tough and just wanted you to know…you got a friend in your corner,” she wrote.

Cyrus is coming off a dramatic split from his ex Firerose. The pair finalized their divorce in August 2024 and have each accused the other of verbal and emotional abuse, which they both deny. Cyrus is also contending with allegedly strained relationships with some of his children, Brandi, Trace, Miley, Braison and Noah, whom he shares with ex-wife Tish Cyrus. (He is also dad to Christopher Cody, who he shares with ex-girlfriend Kristen Luckey.)

Elizabeth Hurley Gushes About ‘Surprising’ Romance With Billy Ray Cyrus

A source close to Cyrus told Us that the singer and actress have “both been through a lot in life and have bonded over life experiences,” adding that, “Liz is a very compassionate person, which Billy Ray adores.”

Damian has been supportive of his mother’s new relationship with the country singer, even going so far as to publicly comment on their PDA-filled Instagram posts.

“Everyone is happy Damian loves [Billy Ray],” a source close to Hurley told Us. Another source close to Cyrus told Us that “Damian is really happy to see his mom happy.”

Jussie Smollett Settles Civil Lawsuit, Donates $60K While Denying Any Wrong

Jussie Smollett is maintaining his innocence while settling his civil lawsuit stemming from his alleged 2019 attack hoax.

“Over six years ago, after it was reported I had been jumped, City Officials in Chicago set out to convince the public that I willfully set an assault against myself. This false narrative has left a stain on my character that will not soon disappear,” Smollett, 42, wrote in a statement shared via Instagram on Friday, May 23. “These officials wanted my money and wanted my confession for something I did not do. Today, it should be clear…They have received neither.”

He continued, “The decision to settle the civil lawsuit was not the most difficult one to make. After repeatedly refusing to pay the City, I was presented with an opportunity to make a charitable donation in exchange for the case being dismissed. Despite what happened there politically, Chicago was my home for over 5 years and the people became my family. Therefore, making a donation to benefit Chicago communities that are too often neglected by those in power will always be something I support.”

The Empire star went on to reveal that he had made a $50,000 donation to the Building Brighter Futures Center for the Arts, a foundation that supports underprivileged youth.

Jussie Smollett Reportedly Checks Into Rehab After Jail Release

“This organization was my choosing and I’m comforted that there will be at least one winner from this experience,” he continued in the statement. Smollett also shared that he donated an additional $10,000 to the Chicago Torture Justice Center “who provides resources to communities healing from the violence of the Chicago Police Department.”

The Chicago Torture Justice Center confirmed the actor’s donation in an Instagram post on Friday.

“This generous donation from Mr. Smollett is so meaningful and deeply impactful as we celebrate and honor the 10th anniversary of the historic Reparations Ordinance in Chicago,” the post read in part. “This 10th anniversary offers us a moment of reflection on what is possible when we stand together and imagine a better future for our communities. A world that values healing and repair, instead of punishment and incarceration.”

The post concluded, “Again, we are so grateful to Mr. Smollett and every donor who supports this necessary work.”

Smollett reported that he had been a victim of an alleged hate crime in January 2019, claiming that two men confronted him with racial and homophobic slurs before wrapping a rope around his neck and pouring bleach on him.

Police and city officials, however, claimed the actor was behind the hoax hate crime, going on to accuse him of submitting a false police report and claiming he knew his attackers, brothers Olabingo and Abimbola Osundairo, who alleged they were paid by Smollett to stage the attack. The city sued the actor for $130,000 related to the police investigation into the alleged attack. Smolett denied the claims and countersued.

Jussie Smollett's Conviction for 2019 Alleged Hoax Overturned in Appeal

Smollett was found guilty on five counts of felony disorderly conduct in December 2021 and sentenced to 150 days in jail and 30 months probation in March 2022. Two years later, in November 2024, the Illinois Supreme Court overturned the conviction, citing prosecutorial issues.

In his Saturday statement, Smollett maintained his innocence, writing that while he “was exonerated by the Illinois Supreme Court in a[n] unanimous decision and the civil case will now be dismissed, I’m aware that it will not change everyone’s mind about me or the attack I experienced.”

“However, despite arduous and expensive attempts to punish me, I am innocent in the eyes of God and our criminal justice system,” the statement continued. “What I have to do now is move forward. I will continue creating my art, fighting passionately for causes I hold dear and defending my integrity and family name with truth.”

He concluded by thanking his supporters over the years, saying that their “prayers and belief in me mean more than words can properly express.”

Man v. Food's Adam Richman Ready to 'Rebuild' After Mysterious 2nd Surgery

Beloved food show host Adam Richman is giving fans an update following a mysterious second operation.

“I’m home, and grateful to have made it through,” the Man v. Food host wrote in an update to an original Instagram post shared on Friday, May 23. “Feeling quite rough, but that’s to be expected. Looking to use this summer to rebuild mentally and physically and come out with some new bangers for you this fall.”

He added, “Also Jalen Brunson should NOT have tried that long range three,” referring to the New York Knicks’ guard and his recent playoff performance

On Friday, Richman, 51, shared a vague post asking fans for their prayers and well-wishes ahead of a mysterious second surgery.

Celebrity Health Scares Through the Years

“Hello beautiful people. Don’t want to scare anyone like last time, so just want to be ultra clear-Today is surgery number two,” he wrote. “And because nobody knows the future, I just wanted to once again tell all those who have been so kind and supportive of me & the shows I make and have made, I am forever grateful & love you all so much.”

The original post continued, “If I’m granted the opportunity to come out of this, I promise I’ll continue to work my tail off to give you my all. Blessed to live the life I have & yes, blessed to live long enough to see my beloved @spursofficial lift a European Trophy. If ya have a second, lift your boy up in your prayers. See ya on the other side.”

One month earlier, the former host sparked concern over his health after sharing a cryptic Instagram post in which he said he never claimed to be perfect.

“Thank you all for the support you have given & the chance to live out my dreams to uplift so many others through the shows that I make, and to tell their stories,” he wrote on April 10. “I’m not perfect, never claimed to be. I’ve always tried my best and tried to lead with love. I’m rooting for all of you, & appreciate every last one of you.”

Later, Richman gave fans an update in which he explained the post and apologized for causing so much online worry.

“I wasn’t going to say anything because it’s kind of a personal nature,” he said at the time. “So I have to have a couple of surgeries. Thankfully it’s just to fix some injuries I’ve had. It’s nothing, God forbid, related to a much more serious medical condition. But they’re serious surgeries to fix these injuries.”

Summer House’s Jesse Solomon Opens Up About Testicular Cancer Journey

Richman went on to explain that his father had undergone what he referred to as a “routine surgery” when he was 52 and “never came out,” which left the television host afraid of hospitals and surgeries.

“These injuries are maybe a little bit of a result of me feeling my own age,” he added. “I’m scared. I’m super scared out of my mind, and a bit sad. I know nowadays, everyone’s trying to be a sigma — no one wants to admit any kind of fear, but I’m scared.”

Ahead of his unspecified procedures, Richman said he “prayed” and, as a result, felt “a lot of gratitude and a bit of humility” which ultimately inspired him to share the original, concerning post.

“I was trying to communicate because the bottom line is that I work at the pleasure of the people that enjoy my shows,” he explained. “That enjoy me as a host —or whatever that is.”

‘Fox & Friends’ Allegedly Tried to Book a Deceased Celebrity for Interview

According to late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, Fox & Friends desperately needs to update their celebrity rolodex.

During the Wednesday, May 21, episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the host alleged that the popular morning news show Fox & Friends attempted to book the late Kirstie Alley, who died in 2022, to speak about her former Cheers costar George Wendt, who died on Tuesday, May 20.

“This is an exclusive,” Kimmel, 57, said. “This is an e-mail I obtained from a source … This was sent from a talent booker at Fox & Friends yesterday to the people who represented Kirstie Alley. The names have been blurred to protect the stupid.”

The host then started to read the alleged email out loud for fans and viewers.

‘Cheers’ Cast Pays Tribute to George Wendt After He Died on Show Anniversary

“We would love to have Kirstie Alley on tomorrow morning’s show, May 21st, to talk about George Wendt,” the alleged correspondence read. “It would be a 2-5 minute interview sometimes between 6-9 am ET. Please let me know if she’s available!”

Kimmel continued, “Sadly, Kirstie Alley is not available because she, too, passed away three years ago. Just like most of the viewers at Fox News.”

Us Weekly has reached out to a representative of Fox News for comment.

News broke in December 2022 that Allie died after a brief battle with cancer.

“We are sad to inform you that our incredible, fierce and loving mother has passed away after a battle with cancer, only recently discovered,” Alley’s daughters, William “True” Stevenson and Lillie Stevenson, announced in a statement at the time. “She was surrounded by her closest family and fought with great strength, leaving us with a certainty of her never-ending joy of living and whatever adventures lie ahead.”

‘Cheers’ Actor George Wendt Dead at 76

“The family concluded: Our mother’s zest and passion for life, her children, grandchildren and her many animals, not to mention her eternal joy of creating, were unparalleled and leave us inspired to live life to the fullest just as she did.”

Years later, on Tuesday, Wendt’s family confirmed to Us that the beloved actor – best known for his role as Norm on Cheers – died. He was 76.

“Beloved actor and comedian, George Wendt, best known for starring in the NBC hit comedy Cheers, has passed away,” a rep for his family told Us in a statement. “George’s family confirmed the news of his death early Tuesday morning, announcing he died peacefully in his sleep while at home. George was a doting family man, a well-loved friend and confidant to all of those lucky enough to have known him. He will be missed forever.”

Scottie Scheffler Wins PGA Championship 1 Year After Tournament Arrest

Scottie Scheffler has a reason to celebrate at this year’s PGA Championship.

The professional golfer, 28, won the 2025 PGA Championship on Sunday, May 18 — one year after he was arrested at the very same tournament.

After sinking his final put to end -11 in a runaway victory, he walked straight toward his wife, Meredith Scheffler, and his young son, Bennett, embracing them both and giving his wife more than a few celebratory kisses.

(Scottie and Meredith married in December 2020. They welcomed Bennett in May 2024, one month after he won the 2024 Masters tournament — his second Masters win.)

Golfer Scottie Scheffler Arrested Hours Before PGA Championship Round 2

He then took his son into his arms and once again embraced his wife, who was visibly emotional after watching her husband take home the win. After their prolonged hug, Scottie seemed to wipe away tears as he kept his son in his arms.

“Words can’t describe what we just watched,” Scottie’s father, Scott Scheffler, could be heard telling his son while embracing him following his win. His mother, Diane Scheffler, was also in attendance.

Scottie’s win on Sunday marks his first professional win as a dad.

Scottie Scheffler Addresses Arrest Before Teeing Off in Round 2 of PGA

Last year, at the same tournament when he was ranked the No. 1 golfer in the world, Scottie was arrested before play was scheduled to begin. The pro golfer was attempting to enter the Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky, at around 6 a.m. when police claimed he illegally bypassed the scene of an accident where a pedestrian was struck and killed.

Miraculously, Scottie made his 10:08 a.m. tee time despite being charged with multiple counts, including second-degree assault of a police officer and reckless driving. (Zander Schauffele ultimately won the tournament and the $3.3 million prize.)

Scottie later called the incident a “big misunderstanding.” On May 29, all charges against the professional golfer were dropped, per ESPN, after prosecutors decided to not move forward with the case.

After walking off the green with his young son in his arms, Scottie eventually attempted to hand the baby back to his wife, only to have his son continue to hold on, prompting one sports commentator to note that Bennett simply wanted to “stay with dad.”

The two-time Masters champion spent most of his time soaking in his latest win with his son in his arms. (He was, however, successful in returning the young tyke to his mother in order to accept the tournament trophy.) He finished the tournament five strokes ahead of the second place finisher, Harris English, who finished -6.

Brittany Snow Details Dating Horror Story Involving a Famous, Unnamed DJ

Brittany Snow is getting candid about her romantic life, including a less-than-great date she shared with a famous DJ.

“One of the first dates I’d ever gone on from Raya was this very famous DJ,” Snow, 39, said while appearing on the Friday, May 16, episode of the “In Your Dreams With Owen Thiele” podcast.

When host Owen Thiele asked Snow to name the famous DJ, the actress declined.

“I can’t tell you, but I’m sure that people can deduce it if they really want to. But he was like a very, he’s still famous, I guess,” she said, before making it clear that the DJ in question was not Diplo.

'Pitch Perfect' Cast's Dating Histories: Brittany Snow, Rebel Wilson, More

“I never matched with Diplo, but this guy – we went out,” she said. “I think it was the first and second and third date that he fell asleep, once, while we were making out.”

She continued, to Thiel’s horror: “ Mid-make out. I’m not kidding. Swear to you.”

Snow went on to set the scene for Thiele and his listeners, telling the podcast host that she was “on his couch” when the DJ fell asleep during their smooch session.

“It’s late though and we’re, you know, just hanging out. We were talking and we weren’t doing anything very spicy,” she continued. “It was just making out and I was sort of sitting here, but kind of on him like this and kissing him, and then all of a sudden I sort of felt like no kissing back. Like, there wasn’t any reciprocation to the kissing and I looked at him and I pulled back and he was just dead asleep.”

Instead of simply getting up and leaving, Snow said she decided to wake the unnamed DJ up.

“I woke him up and I was like, ‘Hey, what the f*** is going on?’ And he was like, ‘Oh man, I’m sorry. I’m just so tired,’” she said. “I mean, he’s a DJ, so I was like, ‘Did you have a late set last night?’”

Brittany Snow to Detail Watching Ex on 'Selling the OC' Before Divorce

The Pitch Perfect star went on to clarify that the mystery man was “really apologetic” about the entire situation, promising her that he was going to “make it up” to her — only for it to happen again.

“He was very sweet about it,” she added. “We go out, like, a week later and he comes over to my place. Same thing. We’re kissing … We’re making out, he’s back asleep.”

In the end, Snow said that despite the DJ’s numerous apologies she “took it personally.”
“I was like, ‘Wow, I must really be just so hot.”

Snow married realtor and former professional surfer Tyler Stanaland in 2020 in an intimate outdoor ceremony in Malibu, California. Two years later, the pair announced their separation and Snow filed for divorce in January 2023. The former couple finalized the proceedings in July of that year.

Heather Dubrow Slams Claims She Paid for Her Daughter to Get Into Yale

Heather Dubrow is addressing claims that she and husband Terry Dubrow donated a significant amount of money to Yale so that her daughter could attend the coveted Ivy League school.

“Oh God, listen — that ship sailed a long time ago,” Heather, 56, exclusively told Us Weekly while attending Nancy Davis’ 32nd Annual Race to Erase MS Gala on Friday, May 16, at Fairmont Century Plaza. “Even if I wanted to pay, that’s not a thing.”

Last month, Dubrow was asked via Instagram “How big was the donation?” to her daughter’s future school. She replied 0$.

“I’ll tell you a quick story,” Heather continued on Friday. “When the twins got into kindergarten, that process of private school kindergarten was so ridiculous to me and upsetting and it gave me so much anxiety [that I said], ‘I’m never doing this again.’ So I told all the kids when they got to high school, ‘If you want choices, study, and here’s your guidance counselor and do your best. I’ll be your cheerleader, but I’m not fighting with you. This is your life. It’s up to you.’ And that’s exactly what we’ve done.”

Why Heather Dubrow Really Tagged 'RHOC' Newbie Katie Ginella on Instagram

The Real Housewives of Orange County star celebrated her daughter Katarina, 18, committing to Yale University in the fall via a sweet Instagram post shared in April. (Heather and Terry also share Ace, 14, and twins Nick and Max, 21.)

“CONGRATULATIONS KATARINA!!!!” the proud mom wrote at the time. “We are so proud of you and excited to watch you SHINE in college !!!! WE LOVE YOU !!!!! 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙 @yale_2029 @yale #bedparty”

In the sweet shout out, the reality star and her husband could be seen sitting alongside their daughter and their family dogs. Another snap showed Kat posing in front of a celebratory cake with the words “Class of 2029” written on it — an ode to her eventual graduation from the Ivy League institution.

RHOC's Heather Dubrow Was 'Devastated' by Tamra Judge's Girls Night Gossip

In 2019, the college admissions scandal, also known as Operation Varsity Blues, broke, in which a large-scale investigation uncovered a criminal conspiracy involving 33 parents who bribed college admission officials and coaches in order to illegally arrange and secure their children’s admissions to top universities. Actresses Felicity Huffman and Lori Laughlin were among some of the stars who were involved.

“I am happy to say I had nothing to do with it,” Heather continued of her daughter’s acceptance to the university. “Kat did this all on her own, as did my other kids. You want your kids to be where they belong, not at the place they don’t belong, because they’re not going to be successful.”

Wayne Brady Claims 'Let's Make a Deal' Contestants Showed Up Drunk or High

Wayne Brady is pulling back the curtain on the realities of game show hosting — including how some Let’s Make a Deal contestants would arrive before taping.

“In the early days of the show, for some reason, we had a lot of that,” Brady, 52, told People, alleging that many contestants would show up high or drunk while attending tapings.

“But not a lot recently,” he added while attending CBS Fest 2025 in Los Angeles, clarifying that intoxicated or high contestants are more of a rarity these days.

“I’d like to think that our audiences show up ready to play because they know the kind of show they’re getting involved in,” he continued to explain. “They know that it’s like an improvisational show. They know the women might ask them to get up and sing. They know that I’m interacting with them. So I think people come lucid because they don’t want to look silly.”

Drew Carey Says Many 'Price Is Right' Contestants Show Up Drunk or High

While shocking to some, Brady is not the only game show host who has had to deal with contestants who were under the influence while taping.

In June 2024, Drew Carey revealed that many The Price is Right contestants would show up drunk or high.

“Oh, that happens here all the time,” Carey, 66, told TV Insider at the time. “They’ll have a gummy or I’ll smell alcohol on their breath. Not unusual.”

The beloved game show host went on to recall a moment when one contestant was apparently “tripping on mushrooms” when he arrived on set.

“He came with a bunch of friends. He was a sketch [comedy] guy. I found out later when I went to [United Citizens Brigade] to hang out and they were like, ‘Did you see that guy who claimed to be a skateboarding rabbi?’” Carey recalled. “I asked him what he did for a living. And he goes, ‘I’m a skateboarding rabbi.’ He didn’t think he was going to get picked, and he totally tripped.”

Drew Carey Reflects on His Sitcom's 30th Anniversary, What He Misses Most

Carey went on to share that he believes contestants or possible contestants arrive at tapings nervous, and probably imbibe or use substances as a way to calm their nerves — a decision he said was understandable and one he didn’t judge.

“They’re normal people that live normal lives,” he continued. “This is average America right here. There are no CEOs, ultra-rich upper management. These are middle class, working class. Every religion. It’s a cross-section of America. Regular people are more interesting than celebrities.”

Jamie Lee Curtis Says Nicole Kidman Demanded They Play Scarpetta Sisters

Jamie Lee Curtis is opening up about her costar Nicole Kidman’s role in her becoming more than just a producer on the upcoming Prime Video series Scarpetta Sisters.

“Patricia Cornwell has been writing about a medical examiner named Dr. Kay Scarpetta for over 20 years, and I can’t even tell you how many millions of people have bought these books. And Nicole is going to play Dr. Kay Scarpetta,” Curtis, 66, exclusively told Us Weekly on Monday, May 12.

Curtis went on to explain to Us that she first met Kidman, 57, at the Oscars.

“She actually introduced herself to me and we exchanged hellos and a little bit of chick bonding,” she added. “But then we walked away and I was like, ‘Okay, wow. That was crazy.’ And six months later she heard that we were making the Scarpetta show and that I was producing and she basically said, ‘I want to be Scarpetta.’ And then when I went, ‘Okay, great,’ she said, ‘But you’re going to be in it with me, right?’”

Her Biggest Win! Jamie Lee Curtis Earns 1st Oscar for 'EEAAO'

According to the Everything Everywhere All at Once star, it was at that moment that she became much more than an executive producer on the project.

“It was that moment of like, ‘Yes, Nicole Kidman. Yes. I’m going to be in a show with you.’ I had no choice,” she explained. You had no choice. I was going to be a producer, and at that moment it was decided that I was going to act in the show.”

Prime Video has already greenlit two seasons of the upcoming show, based on Patricia Cornwell’s Kay Scarpetta novel series. Kidman will play the forensic pathologist and crime fighter, while Curtis will portray her sister, Dorothy. Kidman is also an executive producer on the project.

Curtis told Us that when it comes to figuring out when to attach her name to a project, just based on her filmography and TV biography alone it’s clear that she’s “not that particular.”

Kate Hudson Regrets Turning Down Lead Role in 'The Devil Wears Prada'

“Usually, if a part comes to me, there’s a reason. It’s not random,” she continued. “I don’t believe you’ll be seeing me playing Lady Macbeth. I don’t think you’re going to see Lady Macbeth in my filmography.”

She continued, “I pretty much do the work that comes to me … I love my life. I just love the fact that I get to be me, that I get to do what I do, that I get to do art and be a part of the art form that I get to be part of — entertainment. I love the combo platter of show business. I’m a marketing guru. I love marketing. And I just love the process of living a creating life. So I got no complaints.”

Honey Boo Boo Questions If Car Accident With Dad Sugar Bear Was Intentional

Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson has some questions regarding a car accident her and her family sustained in 2014 — mainly, whether or not it was intentional.

“There [were] just times when my dad, he would just get super angry and he let his anger issues just get the best of him,” Thompson, 19, exclusively told Us Weekly on Wednesday, May 17, while promoting Lifetime’s new series I Was Honey Boo Boo. “So you never really knew when he was angry, what would happen. It was just always up in the air. There [were] times [when] he would just rip his clothes off or just throw things or punch walls. It was just a little scary. You never know what could happen when he got angry.”

Thompson’s father, David “Sugar Bear” Thompson, was driving when the family got into a car accident in McIntyre, Georgia, in 2014. As Us reported at the time, Sugar Bear was making a left turn when another car slammed into them. Mama June (real name June Shannon), Pumpkin (real name Lauryn Shannon) and Chubbs (real name Jessica Shannon) were also in the car at the time of the collision.

“As many of you heard we were in a car accident last night,” Mama June said via a statement to Us at the time. “It was really scary for us, since it was the first time any of us had ever been in a wreck. We are definitely really sore today, but our top priority is to celebrate Pumpkin’s birthday. She turned 14 today and no matter how sore we feel we are going to go out and celebrate. As always we want to thank everyone for their support and well wishes.”

Honey Boo Boo gave Us an update on where her relationship with her father stands.

“I don’t talk to him at all,” she said on Wednesday. “I haven’t talked to him in a very long time. I can’t even tell you the last time I talked to him. That’s how long it’s been.”

The family’s often dramatic and complicated dynamics played out in front of the cameras in TLC’s Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, which aired from 2012 to 2017. Honey Boo Boo says the series and its popularity were likely one of the reasons why her parents eventually split.

“I feel like the cameras maybe brought the family farther apart in a way, just because my dad wasn’t a big fan of it,” she explained. “So he didn’t really agree with it and my mom loved it, so it was like their outlooks were completely different and I think that had a little bit to do with their breaking up and falling out and everything.”

Mama June and Sugar Bear met in 2004, before welcoming Honey Boo Boo in 2005. The pair were never legally married but did exchange vows in a commitment ceremony documented on Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. In 2014, they called it quits after Mama June allegedly found online dating profiles of Sugar Bear.

Mama June moved on with boyfriend Geno Doek. The pair were arrested in 2019 on felony drug possession charges, just days after her family staged an intervention for her. She has since gone on to marry Justin Stroud, who has also struggled with drug abuse.

Now back in front of the cameras to tell her own story in her own words, Honey Boo Boo tell Us that while looking back on her relationship with her dad was cathartic, there were many parts that were simply too painful to include.

“I mean, there was a lot of things that my father did that I didn’t include in this story just because it was just very hard for me to just look back on that,” she explained. “So I was like, ‘I would just rather not.’ I just didn’t even include it.”

She continued, “I feel I’ve kind of gotten closer and I feel like, in a way, I just kind of push it to the side and I’m just like, ‘It’s OK.’ I mean, he’s never fully been there for me like I need him to be. I’m at the point of now I’m just like, he’s never going to be there for me. So, yeah, I just accept it.”

I Was Honey Boo Boo premieres Saturday, May 17, at 8/7C on Lifetime.

“Last night, the Lord called our baby home,” she wrote via Instagram at the time, along with a photo showing the reality television star had been treated at an undisclosed hospital. “Though we understand that God has a plan, our home is filled with tears and broken hearts.”

“Rest in heaven, Jean Pina,” she continued in the caption. “Mommy and Daddy love you so very much.”

Celebrities Who've Welcomed Babies Back-to-Back

In December 2024, Falynn also opened up about her decision to get married while pregnant, telling fans and listeners that the pair’s nuptials were anything but “rushed.”

“It wasn’t that it was rushed,” she explained. “To be honest with you, it felt that way because no one knew what was going on behind closed doors. And then two, we do have a lot of projects coming up in 2025 and leading into 2026. There was no point in time on our schedule where we felt like we could fit in a wedding and a drawn-out thing.”

While the proud parents are certainly basking in the new baby glow and enjoying postpartum life, Falynn made it clear in the same YouTube video that she has no plans on having another child.

“No more,” she said.

Sharna Burgess Defends Fiance Brian Austin Green's Parenting

Sharna Burgess is opening up about her fiancé Brian Austin Green’s parenting skills.

“One of the things that I fell in love with about Brian very early on was the way he is as a father to his children,” Burgess, 39, exclusively told Us Weekly at Nancy Davis’ 32nd Annual Race To Erase MS Gala on Friday, May 16. “He is the kind of father that I honestly wish that I grew up with. He is the kind of man that I watch every day with our children, and the way that he parents, and the way that he is not just parenting but living as an example of what a good man should be — in his conversations, in the way he loves me, in the way that he loves our children.”

She continued, “He’s a phenomenal human being. The respect that he gives the people around him. He’s the kind of man that I want my kids to grow up watching.”

Green, 51, and Burgess share son Zane. He also shares sons Noah, 11, Bodhi, 10, and Journey, 7, with ex-wife Megan Fox, and son Kassius with ex Vanessa Marcil.

Brian Austin Green, Sharna Detail 'Fantastic' Megan Fox Coparenting Dynamic

In 2018, Marcil claimed that Green had not seen their son in five years. “Kass has never met his youngest brother and is not allowed to know where his bio father, stepmother and three younger brothers live,” the actress wrote via Instagram at the time.

Green did not publicly respond to her allegations and has since posted Instagram photos with Kassius.

Six months after Green and Fox’s 2020 split, the pair also seemed to butt heads over their children via Instagram.

“I know you love your kids. But I don’t know why you can’t stop using them to posture,” Fox wrote via Instagram in November 2020. “You’re so intoxicated with feeding the pervasive narrative that I’m an absent mother, and you are the perennial, eternally dedicated dad of the year.”

One year later, in July 2021, a source exclusively told Us that Fox and Green’s coparenting relationship was a “work in progress.”

“They are on better terms now than they were a year and a half ago,” the source said at the time. “It’s not perfect …. But they are doing much better at it.”

Brian Austin Green's Family Guide: Meet His Children

With their nuptials on the horizon, Green and Burgess are hoping to eventually welcome a baby girl into the fold.

“We will most likely do IVF anyway,” Burgess told Us on Friday.

“I want the best that science can offer,” Green added. “I want to f***ing spin and I want to do whatever the f*** you have to do to get a little girl. It’s time. I want to be a girl dad. It’s supposed to be a different experience.”

“We would like to try for a girl, yes,” Burgess chimed in.

The pair also addressed their decision to postpone their wedding, which will now likely take place in 2026.

“In all honesty, it takes a lot to plan and it’s a lot going on, and I would much rather my priorities lie in trying to find space to have another baby, which I’m not saying is right now, but I also don’t want to be pregnant for the wedding,” Burgess explained. “No one’s pregnant but I don’t want to be pregnant for my wedding or postpartum recovery. So listen, people just need to chill. We’re good. We’re happy.”

A Family Therapist Breaks Down the Beckham Family’s Alleged Feud

As rumors of an alleged feud within the Beckham family continue to swirl, a family therapist is breaking down the ins and outs of the apparently fractured relationships.

“They are stuck with this public-private conflict,” Dr. Gail Saltz, MD, clinical associate professor of psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College and author, exclusively told Us Weekly on Friday, May 9. “In most families, you wouldn’t notice who did or didn’t attend a party. But for them, everything is public and dramatic, which inflames private emotions.”

Allegations of an alleged family feud hit a fever pitch earlier this month when Brooklyn Beckham and wife Nicola Peltz were noticeably absent from David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebration.

An insider told Us that Brooklyn, 26, requested a “separate meet-up” with David and mom Victoria Beckham to celebrate his dad’s milestone birthday. The British power couple apparently turned down the offer and, according to the insider, have “thrown in the towel” when it comes to their son and the alleged drama.

Victoria Beckham and Nicola Peltz Rift Is at Center of Beckham Family Drama

The source of the familial tension, according to insiders, is the fractured relationship between Petlz and Victoria. Brooklyn proposed to Peltz in 2020 and the pair married two years later in 2022. Shortly after, speculation swirled around Brooklyn’s mother and wife’s relationship after news broke that Peltz wore a Valentino gown instead of a wedding dress designed by Victoria’s eponymous brand.

“This is typical — a mother-in-law not loving or clicking with the daughter-in-law, and vice versa,” Saltz told Us. “It’s often not about who the individuals are. If you’re a mother who deeply loves your child, it’s painful when someone else becomes the primary person in their life. That pain can feel like jealousy and even dislike, regardless of who the person is.”

She continues: “Similarly, the new spouse can feel that if the mother is holding a primary position, it undermines their new roles. It’s a developmental stage that all new marriages go through.”

Saltz went on to explain to Us that this type of “developmental stage” is one that “all new marriages go through,” though that doesn’t make it any easier to navigate.

David and Victoria Beckham Near Breaking Point With Brooklyn Amid 'Drama'

“It’s not resolved by retreating, making passive-aggressive statements or gaslighting, but by acknowledging your own feelings and not personalizing them,” she added. “Understand that it hurts because it’s a loss, and that’s normal.”

Another alleged source of tension within the Beckham family is the sibling dynamic between brothers Brooklyn and Romeo Beckham – another relatable family rift, according to Saltz.

“A sibling might feel: ‘I was the closest person to him, and now he’s not emotionally or physically available.’ It’s a loss,” she told Us. “These are emotional losses, and the best way to handle them is with kindness to yourself. Recognize your grief and be self-compassionate. Ideally, the son acknowledges it too and reassures his family of their importance while budding a new relationship.”

Saltz explained to Us that in the end, one of the most difficult things for anyone to do in this type of situation is to “extend the olive branch.”

“That’s often the biggest part of reconciliation,” she continued. “These conversations shouldn’t begin with blame. Instead of saying ‘you did,’ say ‘I feel really sad. I miss you. I want us to do better.” That makes it easier to reconnect and feel better together.”

Blake Lively’s Brother-in-Law Bart Johnson Opens Up Marriage After 26 Years

Blake Lively’s brother-in-law Bart Johnson is opening up about his relationship with wife Robyn Lively after 26 years of marriage.

“In September, it’s gonna be 26 [years] — I can’t believe it. In Hollywood, that’s 1,000 years,” Johnson, 54, exclusively told Us Weekly on Saturday, May 10, while attending iHeartRadio’s 102.7 KIIS FM Wango Tango presented by Fiji Airways.

“I know it sounds hyperbolic or something, but I am crazy about her and our relationship is better now than it ever has [been] before and I love that,” the High School Musical star continued. “I love that I can genuinely say that. She’s my best friend. We watch movies and hang out, eat popcorn together. We have the best time, so it’s the best.”

Johnson and Robyn, Blake’s older sister, started dating in 1998. The pair tied the knot in September 1999 and went on to welcome three children together: Kate, Baylen and Wyatt.

Inside Blake Lively and Brother-in-Law Bart Johnson's Relationship

Despite both being actors — Robyn plays character Ellie in the hit series Landman and voiced the role of Mrs. Claus in the 2022 animated series The Santa Clauses — and having an uber famous family member, Johnson told Us that the pair are pretty normal people. (They even showed up to the iHeart event in jeans, looking chill as ever.)

“We spend all our time with our kids,” Johnson explained. “I love it. I also understand the window closes and your kids are off and doing other things. I’m trying to cherish it as much as I can, as long as I can.”

As the pair prepared to celebrate another Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 11, Johnson told Us that he disagrees with people who think these so-called “Hallmark Holidays” are “overrated.”

Blake Lively’s Brother-in-Law Defends Her Amid ‘It Ends With Us’ Drama

“Not to be a softy, but a lot of people see Valentine’s Day or they see Mother’s Day or whatever and they’re like, ‘Overrated, too much pressure.’ I have another take on that. Just make it special,” he told Us. “It’s one day a year. It’s Mother’s Day — just put some energy into that. Celebrate mothers and the amazing contributions they make to your life and your family and the world. Why not?”

He continued: “Robyn is on Landman and she takes off tomorrow morning [Mother’s Day] to go shoot another episode. Now I’m struggling with the gratitude of her being on an awesome show and [getting] to go play this really fun part on the show, and then me selfishly wanting my wife home to celebrate. It doesn’t matter what day it is – we’ll celebrate her when she gets home.”

Bindi Irwin Opens Up About Health Struggles 1 Day Before Emergency Surgery

Bindi Irwin opened up about her health struggles one day before undergoing emergency surgery for a ruptured appendix.

“If you have good health you can do anything, but when you’re feeling unwell it’s impossible to function in life,” Irwin, 26, exclusively told Us Weekly on Friday, May 9, one day before she was scheduled to attend the Steve Irwin Gala at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, in honor of her late father, Steve Irwin.

Bindi missed the celebratory event after suffering a ruptured appendix, which required emergency surgery.

“She’s going to be OK, but surgery — out of all the things we were ready for, that was not one of them,” Bindi’s brother Robert Irwin told People in an interview published on Saturday, May 10. “She’s just come out of the other side of endometriosis and now the appendix goes. Health is so important – it really is.”

Bindi Irwin Says She Was ‘in So Much Pain’ During ‘Invisible’ Health Struggle

Before her latest health struggle, Bindi told Us she spent 10 years feeling “lost” as a result of endometriosis, a condition in which tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside of the uterus, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). The condition often causes severe pain in the pelvic and can make it difficult, or impossible in some cases, to get and remain pregnant.

“Nobody knew what was wrong with me,” she explained. “Doctors were not the most helpful, and I started to really believe that maybe it really was all in my head. And that feeling, that sense of just feeling so lost and also claustrophobic in your own body.”

She continued: “It takes so much away from your life and it’s very scary and very isolating. I think my greatest message to young girls, to women, is to keep fighting for your health. You deserve to feel good. You never, ever should be in a place in your life where you feel alone and you can’t get help.”

Bindi Irwin Undergoes Endometriosis Surgery After 10 Years of Pain

Bindi announced she had been diagnosed with endometriosis in 2023, nearly 10 years after she first started experiencing debilitating symptoms. She credits her family for helping her get through that difficult time in her life.

“I was so lucky, having such a wonderful family that helped me to keep looking for those answers,” she explained to Us on Friday. “They propped me up when I was at my lowest … I wasn’t just feeling unwell on my period — it was every single day of my life. I struggled to get out of bed. And it really, the pain took over. It was my family in the driver’s seat.”

She added: “So for all the girls and women — surround yourself with people who genuinely love you, whether that is your family or chosen family. Keep those people close and don’t give up on yourself because it’s very easy to feel like you’ve lost hope. But there is always hope. There is always light at the end of the tunnel and you have to keep going because health is one of the most important things in this life.”

98 Degrees Jokes 'Alcohol' Has Kept Them Together for 30 Years

According to Nick Lachey, Drew Lachey, Jeff Timmons and Justin Jeffre, three things kept the hit boy band 98 Degrees together for nearly three long decades — dedicated fans, hard work… and alcohol.

“I think a lot of it’s hard work,” Timmons, 52, exclusively told Us Weekly on Thursday, May 8, of the band’s longevity. “Of course, the fans, obviously — if they’re not there we can’t do any of this stuff. But for us, we’ve always kind of prided ourselves on hard work. We come from the Midwest. We come from a blue collar background and we were taught to work hard. I think we feel like we’re talented guys, but I think our work ethic and the way we treat people along the way – it’s allowed us to stay in the business and [given us] longevity. And again, without the fans we would have no choice of doing this 30 years later.”

“That and alcohol,” Drew, 48, added. “Yeah, a lot of booze, too.”

The boy band made its debut in 1997 with their first album, aptly named 98 Degrees. One year later, they released 98 Degrees and Rising, which included the hit singles “Because of You,” “The Hardest Thing,” and “I Do (Cherish You),” helping the album go quadruple platinum and certifying the group as one of the hit boy bands of the late 90s and early aughts. They went on to sell 15 million records and release four top 10 singles.

Nearly 30 years later, the boys are back — they’re now managed by Johnny Wright of Wright Entertainment Group, embarking on a 25th Anniversary Tour and have released a brand new album, Full Circle, out Friday, May 9.

“We felt like, now, we are at a place where we have this catalog that we want to rerecord and get control of our masters again,” Drew explained. “And it took a while to get the music right for the other five originals … We just wanted to make sure that it was the right record to put out and kind of reflected where we have been and where we are now, and also give[s] a taste to where we’re headed in the future.”

The album even features a song Nick, 51, wrote for a solo project that he just knew was meant for the group to sing.

“The minute I wrote it – this is way back in probably 2007, 2008 … I was like, ‘This doesn’t sound like a solo record. This sounds like a 98 Degrees record to me,’” Nick explained. “So, all these years later I finally got a chance to play it for the guys and they liked it as well.”

The Love is Blind host continued, “It has our signature kind of sound — really great harmonies, just that great pop hook. So yeah, that was the first single we released off this record.”

How Nick Lachey and Wife Vanessa Unwind After 'Love Is Blind' Reunions

Nick Lachey is opening up about how he and wife Vanessa Lachey unwind after those (sometimes contentious) Love is Blind reunions.

“A very stiff drink after the reunion,” Nick, 51, exclusively told Us Weekly on Thursday, May 8, of how he and his better half Vanessa, 44, handle the live Netflix show.

“The reunion, as you can imagine, that’s a stressful day,” he continued. “And there’s a lot of emotions, obviously, that goes into that show. So yeah, we definitely reward ourselves with a martini after. Definitely.”

He added, “It’s called a martini shot for a reason. You move on.”

Nick Lachey Admits He’s Slept on the Couch Amid Vanessa Lachey Marriage

Nick and Vanessa have hosted the hit reality dating series since its inaugural season in February 2020. The show, which tests whether or not people looking for romance can fall in love sight unseen, has gone on to launch eight successful seasons, a few successful relationships and countless viral moments.

“I think the beauty of the show is that you don’t know who’s going to fall in love with who, because you don’t know who’s going to connect on that really kind of organic level that they do on the show,” Nick explained. “So there [have] been some surprises to me. I’m like, ‘Wow, I didn’t see that coming.’ And thankfully we’ve had a huge success rate. I think we’ve only had two divorces over the course of eight incredible seasons.”

He continued, “Obviously it’s a TV show. We love being on a show that’s successful, but the real success stories are the people [who] are still together and really, truly found what they were looking for and still have a beautiful, beautiful marriage.”

While the show has undoubtedly sparked countless conversations and produced endless controversial onscreen moments, Nick told Us that he doesn’t believe hosting the show has changed his marriage offscreen.

Nick Lachey Would Do 'Love Is Blind' If He Was Single: 'It's Fascinating'

“I don’t think we’ve changed anything,” he said. “I think what it does is it is refreshing to be around people falling in love. It kind of takes you back to your own story and reminds you of how it was right there in the beginning, when you find that person that you love so dearly. So, it’s great to be around that kind of an atmosphere and it’s refreshing.”

Nick went on to add that “the more you talk about relationships,” whether it’s on Love is Blind or his equally successful Netflix show The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On, the more those discussions serve as a reminder of what’s important in a long-lasting relationship.

“It’s almost like therapy for us, to talk about it in that way,” he continued. “So it’s been good.”

Mick Jagger Fiancée's Melanie Hamrick Sheds Light on Keeping Things Private

Melanie Hamrick may be engaged to one of the most famous rock stars on the planet, but that doesn’t mean she’s willing to treat her private life like an open book.

“I think family is so personal, and it’s a bubble,” Hamrick, 37, exclusively told Us Weekly on Thursday, May 8, while attending the NYC Ballet Spring Gala at the David H. Koch Theater in New York.

“It’s nice to share things, but it’s like the ballet: there needs to be a mystery or people are going to get sick of you,” she added with a laugh.

The evening’s performance included the use of masks and highlighted the allure of mystery. When asked what she likes to keep mysterious as a public figure, Hamrick — a former ballet dancer herself — reiterated: “My private life.”

Mick Jagger and Girlfriend Melanie Hamrick Make Rare Public Appearance

“I love the Kardashians, however I’m not as comfortable in public,” she continued.

True to form, Hamrick has managed to keep details of her age-gap romance with Mick Jagger relatively out of the public eye. In April, Hamrick confirmed her engagement to the Rolling Stones frontman, 81, in April, revealing to Paris Match that Jagger actually proposed “two or three years” earlier.

“Maybe one day we’ll marry, maybe not,” Hamrick told the outlet at the time. “We are so happy in our current life that I would be too afraid to change anything.”

Jagger and Hamrick met in 2014 after a Rolling Stones concert in Tokyo after she and her fellow members of the American Ballet Theatre received complimentary tickets to the show. The pair, who are 44 years apart in age, started dating shortly after in 2015.

Timothee Chalamet Wants to Be ‘Private’ After Debuting Kylie Jenner Romance

“Everyone’s going to have their opinion,” Hamrick told The Sunday Times in September 2024 of their significant age difference. “If you think about others’ opinions, no matter where you are in life, you’re going to have a problem and you’re going to analyze it. I put the blinders on. Am I happy? Yes. Are the people in my life happy? Yes. Am I hurting anyone? No. OK, they can mind their own business.”

While Hamrick has no time to worry about other people’s opinions, she will make time in her schedule for a good theme party.

“I’m on the board of New York City Ballet. I was a dancer in American Ballet Theater, and it’s just fun to go to all the events,” she explained to us, adding that Thursday’s event was “probably” the best theme party she has ever attended.

“It’s my first big theme party,” she added.

Kellie Pickler's Legal Battle With In-Laws Heats Up: Inside the New Filings

The contentious legal battle between Kellie Pickler and her late husband, Kyle Jacobs’ parents is heating up.

Reed and Sharon Jacobs filed additional objections in the ongoing estate dispute over Kyle’s possessions on Tuesday, May 6, arguing that Pickler is attempting to legally undo all of the previous probate proceedings that have occurred over the last two years.

“For nearly the entire history of this case, she has argued that there exists unidentified agreements between the parties that are so sensitive and confidential that they should remain unidentified and their terms concealed from any public filing,” the couple argues, according to new court documents obtained by Us Weekly, in reference to Pickler’s request to keep the filings under seal.

The couple goes on to claim via court documents that no such “sensitive” and “confidential” agreements exist and that Pickler has yet to provide any factual or legal basis for her legal request.

Kellie Pickler and Late Husband Kyle Jacobs’ Parents Headed to Court

“It is inevitable in any lawsuit that information otherwise unknown to the public at large may be disclosed,” the filing continues. “But purely subjective desire for absolute secrecy is insufficient to satisfy the heavy burden of proof required to justify the sealing of judicial records.”

The parents are also arguing that Pickler’s recent attempt to dismiss the subpoena demanding she return items belonging to her late husband is her turning “a convenient blind eye to the months of discussions with her counsel concerning the items” in their son’s estate, as well as “the cooperation among counsel in arranging a mutually agreeable date and method of production.”

Kyle died by suicide in February 2023 at the age of 49. Nearly one year later, his parents — who are the coadministrators of his estate — allegedly requested that Pickler return many of their late son’s belongings that they claim remained at Pickler and Kyle’s home at the time of his death.

In May 2023, Pickler allegedly provided her late husband’s family with what she claimed was an inventory of his personal property. For the next 12 months, the family claims they attempted to informally recover a number of those items — including Kyle’s gun collection, watches, jewelry, musical instruments and more — through discussions with Pickler and her lawyer, but say they only had limited success.

The family claims Pickler not only agreed to return several items, but failed to do so despite that agreement and later admitted to having them but subsequently claimed she was unable to find them. The parents allege Pickler also “forbade” the family from entering the home in order to retrieve the items — at one point they claim Kellie insisted the family pay for a professional moving company to remove the items from the home.

Breaking Down Kellie Pickler's Court Battle With Late Husband's Parents

The family has since filed a petition for civil contempt against Pickler — a petition she subsequently filed a motion for the court to dismiss and one the parents are now requesting the court deny.

“[The motion to dismiss is the] latest attempt to stymie the administrators’ good faith efforts to move this matter towards its long overdue conclusion,” court documents read. “It is too little, too late.” The parents are additionally requesting the court enforce the subpoena.

Pickler, for her part, is claiming via court documents filed on Tuesday that the subpoena is unreasonable as she was instructed to appear at an attorney’s office with property that “included numerous items that would be unsafe and frankly absurd to bring to the offices… Including a gun, safe, numerous firearms and a grand piano.”

Holly Madison Says Girls Next Door’s 1st Season Was ‘Character Assassination’

Holly Madison is opening up about what it was really like to film the first season of the hit reality television show Girls Next Door.

“The first couple of episodes, we felt like we were characterized in a way that really wasn’t flattering,” Madison, 45, exclusively told Us Weekly on  April 28, while promoting season 3 of The Playboy Murders, which premieres on Monday, May 5.

“I was watching it, like, this is character assassination. I don’t like it,” she continued. “But as the seasons go on, we’re allowed to show more of our personality, and I think viewers got to know who we really are more — so that feels good.”

Madison starred in the hit E! Network’s reality series alongside Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson from 2005 to 2010 as one of the late Playboy founder Hugh Hefner’s three main girlfriends. In the show’s final season, the focus shifted to Crystal Hefner and twins Kristina Shannon and Karissa Shannon.

Holly Madison: I'm ‘Reawakening the Trauma’ Every Time I Discuss ‘Playboy’

(Hugh and Crystal married in 2012 and remained a couple until his death in 2017. Crystal recently announced her engagement to James Ward.)

Madison went on to tell Us that she “can’t believe” that it’s been nearly 20 years since the series aired, adding that “in some ways it feels like [it’s been] even longer.”

“And in some ways, it feels like yesterday,” she added. “It’s just — time flies.”

Madison went on to explain that for both her and her costar Marquardt — who now cohost the hit podcast “Girls Next Level” together — it could be difficult to look back at those earlier seasons, especially when the pair initially had such fond memories of the experience.

“I think [Bridget] had just tied everything up in such a positive bow and had kind of forgotten any of the negatives,” Madison told Us. “So when we go back and rewatch and comment on it, she’s like, ‘Oh my god, I forgot about this.’ I remember after watching the first episode, she’s like, ‘I don’t think I can do this podcast.’ I’m like, ‘No, it gets better. I promise.’ I had already rewatched a lot of it from YouTube and that’s what gave me the idea to do the podcast. And I’m like, ‘Trust me, it gets better. The hardest part is season 1 and then it gets better.”

Holly Madison Cosigns Crystal Hefner’s Claims About ‘Rivalry’ Between Them

Madison told Us that she believes one of the reasons why fans seem to have an affinity for the reality show nearly two-decades later is because it was “truly the most bizarre show that was ever on television.”

“It was something that was packaged as just this family friendly cotton candy cartoon, but it had a really dark underside and a really dark reality that I don’t think people even realized until my book came out in 2015,” she continued, referring to her book Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny.

“And there’s two different ways you can watch the show,” she added. “You can just sit back at it and appreciate the eye candy and the fun stuff we got to do, or you can look at it knowing what was really going on behind the scenes and seeing all those layers … It’s almost like every successful show in the past has been rebooted in some way or another except Girls Next Door. It’s kind of the one you can’t do.”
