’Tis the season for outdoor gatherings, so we went straight to the master, namely chef Michael Symon, for a delicious dish.
“When it comes to surefire seafood for groups, it’s hard to top shrimp,” the James Beard Award-winning chef exclusively shares in the latest issue of Us Weekly. “Even for people who say they don’t love seafood, shrimp seems to be the exception. The plump, sweet crustaceans are the perfect carrier for any flavor combination you feel like going with — and they grill up in no time flat!”
According to Symon, he prefers whipping up the dish with head-on shrimp because he loves “the presentation.”
“And I think they taste better,” he adds. “These require at least an hour to marinate, but they cook in less than five minutes.”
To make Symon’s Smoky Grilled Shrimp, which serves six, he gave Us a helpful piece of cooking advice.
Ed Anderson
“To prevent sticking to the grill, make sure the grates are preheated, scrubbed clean and oiled before laying these guys down,” Symon says. “If you would prefer to skewer them before cooking them, go right ahead.”
Keep scrolling for Symon’s Smoky Grilled Shrimp recipe:
Ingredients
3 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
Grated zest and juice of 2 limes
1 tbsp kosher salt
1 tbsp light brown sugar
1 tbsp smoked paprika
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp ground coriander
1 tsp ground cumin
2 lbs large shrimp, peeled and deveined
½ cup fresh cilantro leaves, for serving
Lime wedges, for squeezing
Instructions
1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lime zest, lime juice, salt, brown sugar, smoked paprika, cayenne, coriander and cumin. Add the shrimp and toss to fully coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour and up to 4 hours.
2. Prepare and preheat a charcoal grill for direct cooking.
3. Cook the shrimp on the hot side of the grill until nicely charred, about 2 minutes per side.
4. Transfer the shrimp to a platter, garnish with cilantro leaves and lime wedges and serve.
Symon’s ninth cookbook, Symon’s Dinners Cooking Out, is available now.
Amid his ongoing feud with Sean “Diddy” Combs, fellow rapper 50 Cent reacted to the accusations that certain fans were allegedly paid to show their support for the embattled entertainer outside the New York City courthouse amid his ongoing sex trafficking trial.
“Diddy paying people to wear ‘Free Diddy’ shirts is diabolical, but $20 a hour [sic] ain’t bad,” 50 Cent, 49, wrote via Instagram on Sunday, May 18. “I might go throw that on for an hour tomorrow. LOL.”
The rapper (real name Curtis Jackson) also uploaded news footage of several individuals wearing black T-shirts that read, “Free Diddy” or “Free Puff.” The group was standing near the courthouse where Diddy, 55, is currently standing trial. (The courtroom proceedings began earlier this week.)
Diddy has not confirmed whether his team was, in fact, paying random fans a stipend to wear supportive merchandise. Us Weekly has reached out for comment.
The disgraced music mogul was arrested in September 2024 on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has denied all allegations against him and has pleaded not guilty.
“We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office,” Diddy’s lawyer Marc Agnifilo told Us in a statement at the time. “Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children and working to uplift the Black community. He is an imperfect person, but he is not a criminal.”
Years before Diddy stood trial, he had a longstanding feud with 50 Cent. Back in 2006, 50 Cent claimed in his “The Bomb” that Diddy had knowledge of the 1997 murder of the Notorious B.I.G.
“Who shot Biggie Smalls? We don’t get ‘em / They gonna kill us all,” 50 Cent raps. “Man, Puffy know who hit that n****.”
50 Cent has never had proof of Diddy’s involvement in the murder. Diddy, for his part, has frequently denied that he had any information about the killer over the years.
The rap stars’ feud continued to escalate, leading up to Diddy’s misconduct scandal and arrest.
“Look, it seems like I’m doing some extremely outrageous things, but I haven’t,” 50 Cent told People in October 2024, discussing his frequent comments about Diddy. “It’s really me just saying what I’ve been saying for 10 years.”
He added, “Now it’s becoming more full-facing in the news with the Puffy stuff. But away from that, I’m like, ‘Yo, it’s just my perspective because I stayed away from that stuff the entire time, because this is not my style.’”

Former Bachelorette Michelle Young is nearly ready to walk down the aisle — but not without an adventure-packed sendoff from her loved ones.
“What a squad,” Young, 31, wrote via Instagram Stories on Saturday, May 17, sharing a selfie from their monster truck ride. “If you’re having a bachelorette party in [Arizona], I highly recommend checking out @desertmonstertours. We just had the time of our lives!”
Young, in particular, embraced her bridal era by rocking a white handkerchief that said, “Bride” across the middle. The rest of her crew wore pink versions.
Later that night, Young and her friends went to Cake Scottsdale and partied with a “Future Mrs. Leius” sign in honor of fiancé Jack Leius.
Leius proposed to the former Bachelorette in December 2024 after nearly a year of dating. He had organized a fake photo shoot to surprise Young.
“I completely froze when I saw Jack standing in the middle of this beautiful flower arch of white roses,” she told People at the time. “I was fooled so badly that for a moment I thought the joke was that Jack was one of the male models that I would be working with at the shoot.”
Courtesy of Michelle Young/Instagram
She added, “I tried to say yes several times but was in shock that no words really came out. There were a lot of happy tears and, of course, I said, ‘yes.’”
Young initially met Leius through a mutual friend.
“She has a good friend and her friend has a little brother, who I know, and her friend’s little brother posted Michelle in his [Instagram] Story and so I kinda just hit him up a couple times,” Leius said during their joint appearance on the “Almost Famous” podcast in January 2024, adding that he kept pestering his pal for an introduction.
Unbeknownst to Leius, Young did the same and asked for a meeting.
“I had no idea any of this was going on [and] I was with said little brother and my friend, and we were just talking,” Young recalled. “I said, ‘I have no idea how I’m supposed to meet my person in Minnesota. Like, [he] is definitely not in Minnesota at this point. I gotta start traveling more because they’re not on the apps!’”
“I think we spent the next four days together,” Leius added on the podcast. “And we were dating by Sunday.”
Young was previously engaged to Nayte Olukoya, whom she met on her season 18 of The Bachelorette. They broke up six months after their televised proposal aired.
“Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms,” a statement sent from 82-year-old Biden’s personal office to CNN on Sunday, May 18, read. “On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone.”
The statement added, “While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive, which allows for effective management.”
Biden and his family, including wife Dr. Jill Biden, are currently “reviewing treatment options with his physicians.”
Joe’s office previously confirmed earlier this week that a “small nodule” had been found on his prostate during an annual physical.
“In a routine physical exam, a small nodule was found in the prostate, which necessitated further evaluation,” a statement said at the time.
The former senator served as vice president under former President Barack Obama for two terms before he was elected the 46th president of the United States in 2020, defeating incumbent Donald Trump. Joe initially sought reelection before ending his 2024 presidential campaign and endorsing then-Vice President Kamala Harris a little more than 100 days before the presidential election.
Neither Joe nor Jill, 73, nor their children and grandchildren — the married couple share daughter Ashley, while Joe and late first wife Neilia Biden shared Hunter and the late Beau and Naomi — have further addressed his cancer battle.
“He’ll pick up our calls no matter where he is,” Hunter’s daughter Naomi told PBS in an August 2020 interview. “He’ll be onstage, giving a speech, and we’d call him and he’d be like, ‘What’s wrong?!’”
Naomi, 31, further gushed that she and her cousins had all “grown up together.”
“He’s made sure that every single tradition, every holiday, we’re all together,” she added. “I don’t think there’s been any decision, no matter how big or small, that we haven’t decided as a family.”
Joe and Jill share six grandchildren. Hunter, 55, and ex-wife Kathleen Buhle are parents to daughters Naomi, Finnegan and Maisy. Hunter also shares son Beau with wife Melissa Cohen. Beau, who died in 2015 after battling brain cancer at the age of 46, was father to daughter Natalie and son Hunter, whom he shared with wife Hallie Olivere.
“He knew his time was up and, one night, we were having dinner at our home before he was hospitalized, and he said, ‘Dad, can we talk?’” Joe recalled on the Howard Stern Showin April 2024. “He said, ‘Promise me that you won’t leave public life [and public office]. I know when I go, you’ll want to quit. Give me your word as a Biden.’ … I gave him my word.”
Even the stars can’t resist admiring the latest issues of Us Weekly — just ask Billy Ray Cyrus.
“Saw this at Target ,” Cyrus, 63, wrote via Instagram on Sunday, May 18, sharing a photo of the Us cover detailing his new romance with Elizabeth Hurley at a store in Franklin, Tennessee.
Cyrus also tagged Hurley, 59, on the image of the magazine. The cover story, released earlier this month, charted the origins of the couple’s unexpected, and now public, romance.
The “Achy Breaky Heart” singer and Hurley confirmed on Easter Sunday that they were an item, jointly uploading a PDA-filled photo to Instagram.
“We did a film two years ago down in the Caribbean and we did very few scenes together, but the couple times we were in the same scene,” Cyrus recalled on the April 24 episode of Apple Music’s Ty Bentli Show, referring to 2022’s Christmas in Paradise. “There was a chemistry there that [I] felt. We just laughed, and it was at a time [when] I wasn’t laughing a lot and I found out the oddest thing.”
Cyrus and Hurley, however, didn’t keep in touch when cameras wrapped.
“Then two more years of life went by, and it was this evolution that some might’ve looked at and certainly I felt like, ‘Wow, can life get any harder? Can it get any tougher for me?’” he added. “At a certain point it was like, ‘You can’t get knocked down any flatter than laying on your back when life is kicking you in the gut.’”
Hurley eventually reached out via text.
“I didn’t even know the number, and it’s like, ‘Hey, it looks like life might be a little bit tough and just wanted you to know I’m in your corner. You got a friend in your corner,’” Cyrus recalled, gushing that the British actress is “a great human being.”
He added, “She’s so impressively brilliant. She reminds me a lot of Dolly Parton. She’s a very smart businesswoman. If you can laugh together, you can make it through everything.”
“They really understand each other and Liz is a very compassionate person, which Billy Ray adores,” the insider added at the time. “She has been spending time with him on his farm in Nashville and they both enjoy the low-key, nature-loving lifestyle. They have just been enjoying life together and wanted to make it public. They have nothing to hide and are very happy.”
Hurley clearly feels the same, telling Page Sixearlier this month that she and Cyrus are “actually quite similar and get on extremely well.”
“We both like to laugh a lot, and we both love the country,” she gushed. “And we both love country music, both love movies. We’ve got a lot in common — and cowboy boots, definitely.”
This is Cyrus’ first relationship since his seven-month marriage to Firerose in 2023. He was previously married to Cindy Smith from 1986 to 1991 and to Tish Cyrus from 1993 to 2022. Billy Ray and Tish, 57, share five children. The Grammy winner also shares son Christopher with ex Kristin Luckey.
Hurley, meanwhile, was previously married to businessman Arun Nayar from 2008 to 2009, in addition to high-profile relationships with Hugh Grant and Shane Warne. She is also mom to son Damian, 23, from her brief romance with late producer Stephen Bing.
Jessi Ngatikaura revealed in The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season 2 that she needed surgery to remove part of her thyroid — and now she’s detailing her diagnosis.
“I filmed my journey with this the entire season and you only saw about 10 seconds of it,” Jessi, 32, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, May 17. “[I] wanted to share my experience for anyone going through something similar.”
Jessi also uploaded a video montage of her health scare, starting on January 3 of this year.
“So, basically, when the show came out last year, I had a few nurses reach out to me and tell me that my thyroid looked enlarged,” Jessi explained, while getting ready to check into the hospital for surgery. “At first, I was like, ‘Oh, whatever. They probably don’t know,’ and I blew it off.”
After receiving more social media messages about her thyroid, Jessi’s husband, Jordan Ngatikaura, took a peek at her body.
“He was like, ‘I think I see what they’re seeing,’” Jessi added, noting she was subsequently inspired to see her doctor. “I really thought I was going to go in and it was going to be nothing, but my blood work did look a little suspicious to them, so they did an ultrasound and they found seven nodules.”
Jessi further explained that she had six “small nodules” on her left side, and one larger one on her right “that was not fine.”
“They had me do a scan, and the scan basically determined whether the nodules were hot or cold,” she said. “If they’re cold, it means they’re not cancerous. … Mine were hot [and] I had to do a biopsy.”
“Already, at this point, I’m feeling some of these symptoms. I’m having a hard time swallowing, a hard time breathing [and] my neck is always tense,” she added. “It just feels uncomfortable. … It affects my talking and my voice. It’s gotten so much deeper in the past little bit.”
Following her doctor’s advice, Jessi underwent surgery to remove half of her thyroid.
“Doing the partial is probably the best option because it’s the least invasive, obviously, between the partial and the full,” Jessi said. “I’m still going to have a huge scar on my neck … but I won’t have to be on medication most likely. I’m trying to see the silver lining and the positive side and not freak out.”
After the surgery, Jessi said that she was already feeling “a little better” despite a slightly sore throat.
The couple lives in Erb’s native Oklahoma, where they purchased a fixer-upper house. In a Saturday, May 17, TikTok video, the pair revealed they are also working on the backyard.
“Here’s Day 1 of our backyard renovation, and this is where we’re at,” Heringer, 30, said in her footage, panning the camera to show fans two sectioned-off patches of mud. “My current husband, Noah, and I are working on our backyard. So, we have the main section over here, and the smaller one over here.”
Heringer further pointed out that “my current husband” was showing off the area that they planned to transform into a patio with steps down to a fire pit section.
“Also, why do you keep saying ‘current husband?’” Erb, also 30, joked.
Heringer, of course, did not plan to film a video of their reno progress but instead part of a viral TikTok trend. In a series of viral videos, many wives have filmed videos of themselves saying “my current wife” in front of their spouse to see their reaction.
On Saturday, Heringer brushed off Erb’s questioning and joked that she just said “my husband” instead. Erb was too preoccupied with their plans to notice any prank.
“[There will be] steps and landscaping,” he added. “I don’t know why you keep saying that, [but here there’s going to be a] step down and a little paver action onto [the] fire pit.”
“We’re getting married in Tulsa. It’s where he was born and raised. And it was pretty easy for us to decide on Tulsa. We just absolutely love it there,” Heringer previously told Us Weekly exclusivelyin September 2024. “And it’s a chance to kind of show our friends and family that were like, ‘Why are you moving to Oklahoma?’ [We can now] actually show it off and say, ‘This is our home and we love it.’”
She added, “I think we’re just trying to do a very, very simplified wedding and just because we get stressed out really easily by schedules and whatnot. So we just didn’t want a whole schedule of the day.”
“I learned a lot of this when I was pregnant with my son, Archie,” she said in an episode of the Netflix series that premiered in March, referring to her 6-year-old son. “My girlfriends threw a baby shower for me, and one of the things we did was learn flower arranging. I started to find this really calming and meditative, so when I have a little bit of time at the end of the day, I do this. I have a glass of wine and just enjoy it.”
In addition to Prince Archie, Meghan and husband Prince Harry live with daughter Princess Lilibet, 3, in Montecito, California. The family’s move — they left the U.K. and stepped down from their senior working royal duties in 2020 — sparked a rift with Harry’s father, King Charles III, and his brother, Prince William.
“I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore,” Harry, 40, told the BBC earlier in May after losing his latest court battle to restore his government-funded security. “There have been so many disagreements between myself and some of my family.”
While Harry stressed that he has “forgiven” his relatives, neither Charles, 76, nor William, 42, has publicly addressed the estrangement.
“The whole institution is concerned that if Charles reaches out, any conversations and information would be splashed across the American press,” a source exclusively told Us Weeklyearlier this month. “Harry did what his mother [Princess Diana] did and it’s impossible to come back into the fold after that. So, everyone around Charles isn’t keen on him reaching out to Harry. They understand it’s a father-son relationship, but the family is so complicated, and issues of the monarchy often supersede personal relationships.”
A second insider, meanwhile, claimed to Us that William and wife Princess Kate Middleton also won’t give Harry and his wife “the time of day.”
“William is more hurt than anything else,” the second source told Us. “The first step is to stop talking to the public about private matters. They don’t see a path forward until Harry can stay quiet.”
Mariska Hargitay couldn’t have made it through her emotional directorial debut of My Mom Jayne — featuring the bombshell revelation about her biological parentage — without her family’s support.
Hargitay, 61, premiered the documentary about her mother’s legacy at the 78th annual Cannes Film Festival on Saturday, May 17, where she walked the red carpet with husband Peter Hermann and their three children.
Hargitay and the Younger alum, 57, have been married since 2004, going on to welcome sons August, 18, and Andrew, 12, as well as daughter Amaya, 14.
August, Amaya and Andrew looked all grown up on Saturday, as they dressed to impress in their formalwear. Hermann twinned with his sons in black tuxedos featuring bow ties, while Hargitay and Amaya opted for sparkly frocks.
At the end of the evening, Hargitay took to social media to praise Hermann for always being in her corner.
“Thank you for being by my side. Now and always,” the Law and Order: SVU star gushed via Instagram, sharing a pic of herself and Hermann entering the theater arm in arm. “I love you.”
My Mom Jayne looks back at the life and legacy of Hargitay’s mother, actress Jayne Mansfield, who died in a June 1967 car crash. In the doc, Mariska also revealed that bodybuilder Mickey Hargitayisn’t her biological father.
“He was my everything, my idol. He loved me so much, and I knew it,” she recalled to Vanity Fair in a profile published on Saturday. “I also knew something else — I just didn’t know what I knew.”
Bertrand Guay/AFP
When Mariska was in her 20s, she realized her biological father was actually Italian entertainer Nelson Sardelli, who had a brief romance with Mansfield. Ten years later, she met Sardelli in person. (Mansfield and Mickey, who died in 2006, briefly split before reconciling shortly before Mariska was born.)
“I’ve been waiting 30 years for this moment,” Mariska recalled of the reunion. “I went full Olivia Benson on him. I was like, ‘I don’t want anything, I don’t need anything from you. I have a dad.’ There was something about loyalty. I wanted to be loyal to Mickey.”
While Mariska felt like she was “living a lie” up until that point, she eventually realized that Mickey would always be her dad no matter what.
“I’m Mickey Hargitay’s daughter — that is not a lie,” she tearfully added. “This documentary is kind of a love letter to him, because there’s no one that I was closer to on this planet.”
Mia Threapleton might be the daughter of Oscar winner Kate Winslet, but she’s determined to make it as an actress in her own right.
“I remember her being quite caught off-guard, going, ‘Oh, really? OK,’” Threapleton, 24, recalled to The Sunday Times in a profile published on Sunday, May 18, of the first time she told her mom about her career ambitions.
While Threapleton was just 10 years old when she realized she had an interest in performing, it took her another five years before she started auditioning in earnest. By age 15, Threapleton signed herself up on online casting boards to “try and see what was out there.”
“I wanted to do that on my own,” Threapleton stated to the British newspaper, dodging a follow-up question about nepotism in the industry. “I don’t really know how to answer that, to be honest. I mean, you can’t [choose your parents]. You can’t.”
Mia is Winslet’s daughter with ex-husband Jim Threapleton. (Winslet, 49, also shares son Joe, 21, with ex-husband Sam Mendes and son Bear, 11, with husband Edward Abel Smith.)
As Mia has followed in her mom’s footsteps, she’d be remiss not to ask for pointers along the way.
“[She said], ‘Read the damn script as many times as you can,” Mia added. “She was very, very encouraging of me doing it on my own and for myself, having the experiences being mine and mine alone. But she always — I mean, always — emphasized the hard work that goes into it and the effort that needs to go into it.”
“It was quite frightening at times because both of us were going into extremely emotionally intense places,” Mia recalled of playing mother-daughter in the emotional drama. “I remember her saying to me when we started, ‘We can’t be sad all the time. We have to be able to come home and have a lovely cup of tea and a biscuit.’”
Mia further revealed that her home life with Winslet, when the cameras stopped rolling, was anything but glamorous.
“That’s a big misconception people have,” she said of her low-key upbringing devoid of star-studded gatherings. “I can count, probably on one and a half hands, the amount of times that I did that as a child, and I don’t really remember any of them.”
Mia continued, “It’s a work environment, so I understand why my mother didn’t do that. You have to concentrate. It’s a job — you want to do your best work.”
Former Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson gave birth to her twin daughters weeks early after experiencing a high-risk pregnancy.
“So, our beautiful baby girls decided to come at 31 weeks plus 5 days,” Nelson, 33, and boyfriend Zion Foster wrote in a joint Instagram post on Sunday, May 18. “It all happened so quickly, but we are so blessed that they are here with us, healthy and fighting strong! We’ve never felt more in love.”
Nelson gave birth to daughters Ocean Jade Nelson-Foster and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster on Thursday, May 15.
Foster, 26, also reposted the social media announcement onto his Instagram Story set to Lionel Richie’s “Truly.”
“My princesses are here,” Foster wrote. “Thank you, God.”
Nelson and Foster, who have been together since January 2022, announced in January of this year that she was pregnant with twins. Amid her pregnancy, Nelson learned that she was having monochorionic diamniotic (MCDA) twins.
“Unfortunately, there are complications that come with having identical twins,” she said in a March social media video. “The types of twins we’re having are monochorionic diamniotic twins and with that, normally, most twins will have two placentas that they feed off of. When you have monochorionic diamniotic twins, they can lead to lots of different complications.”
She added, “At the moment, I am currently pre-stage TTTS, which is twin-to-twin transfusion. I’m being monitored very closely. I have to go be scanned twice a week. The current situation that we’re in at the moment is that every time I’ve gone it gets a little bit worse. We are just hoping and praying for the best. We feel so blessed that we’ve been given twins. It’s just really sad, unfortunately, it does come with these complications we had no idea about.”
“It’s necessary because it’s gonna give our babies the best chance of surviving,” she said in another Instagram update that month. “So, yeah, we’re just waiting to go in. I’m just hoping and praying for the best, really. I feel absolutely gutted. I really was hoping that we wouldn’t even be in this position.”
By March 31, Nelson revealed via Instagram that her TTTS “cleared up” and the operation “was a success.”
“Basically, the situation we’re in now is my cervix is very, very short, so I can’t leave the hospital because my waters could break at any point and I’m still very, very early,” she added at the time. “I can’t leave the hospital until I’m a certain amount of weeks, so every week we’re just like, ‘Please, please, please, stay in there!’”
“Shadow Creek and @15andmahomies adventures,” Patrick’s wife, Brittany Mahomes, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, May 16.
Brittany, 29, uploaded a handful of photos of the couple golfing with their eldest children Sterling, 4, and Bronze, 2. In a separate pic, newborn daughter Golden made a surprise appearance on the green.
Patrick, 29, sweetly crouched down mid-game when Brittany carried their infant over to the green. Golden wore a butter-yellow onesie that complemented her moniker, while her face was strategically hidden from the camera.
“I think I need to clarify, Golden is in the stroller,” Brittany wrote via Instagram Story in March, referring to a recent pic of her trainer babysitting Golden and her own son, who was seated in a bouncer. “You can’t see her and won’t for a while.”
Patrick, meanwhile, has been publicly gushing over life as a dad of three ever since Golden’s arrival.
Courtesy of Brittany Mahomes/ Instagram
“It’s a growing family, but [I] hope we are done growing for a little while,” he joked during a Kansas City Chiefs press conference weeks after Golden’s birth. “It’s cool that I’m able to play in these big games and the Kansas City community has brought me in to be a part of their family.”
While Golden is only a few months old, her older siblings are already well-versed in football life. Sterling and Bronze have attended many Chiefs games through the years, including February’s Super Bowl.
“It’s been a special run, just with everybody here in Kansas City from the organization to the community, from the team and from my family,” Patrick added in January. “I just try to cherish that. I still remember moments from the World Series my dad, [Patrick Sr.], played when I was 5 years old. So, these are moments I’ll have with my family for the rest of my life.”
Through it all — including the loss of the 2025 Super Bowl — Patrick has Brittany in his corner.
“I think people don’t even realize how much she does,” Patrick said on the “Impaulsive” podcast in May 2024. “I mean, taking care of the day-to-day stuff and make it where I can focus on football and focus on my craft and everything like that. [She’s] a Hall of Fame mom and a Hall of Fame wife, [which] makes it a lot easier. I mean, when you get to come home and your best friend’s there and you can just hang out, it makes you want to be there all the time and she pushes me to be great and she’s done a lot of great things herself.”
To celebrate her dad Anthony Adams’ birthday, Victoria, 51, uploaded a handful of throwback family photos to her Instagram Stories on Sunday, May 18.
“Happy birthday, Daddy. I love you so much,” Victoria wrote. “The best papa in the world! We all love you so much!”
In the snap, Anthony and wife Jackie Adams posed with four of their grandchildren. In addition to 26-year-old Brooklyn, Victoria and husband David Beckham also share sons Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 20, as well as daughter Harper, 13.
Victoria’s upload also featured tags for Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz’s respective Instagram accounts. Since Harper doesn’t have her own account, the former Spice Girl made a hashtag out of her daughter’s moniker instead.
Romeo also shared his own tribute to his grandfather. (As of publication, neither Brooklyn nor Cruz posted personal messages.)
“Happy birthday, Papa. Love you,” Romeo wrote on Sunday, sharing a family photo with his maternal grandparents.

The Beckham family has allegedly been navigating a difficult time in recent months, with Brooklyn and wife Nicola Peltz Beckham seemingly distancing themselves from his parents and siblings. Brooklyn and Nicola, 30, even skipped David’s 50th birthday party earlier this month.
“David and Victoria are over it,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly of the perceived drama. “They’ve thrown in the towel over the whole thing. David and Victoria just want to treat everyone the same and approach life like a family, and the family does things a certain way, but Brooklyn isn’t playing it like that, and everything is a drama.”
While it’s not known why Brooklyn and Nicola skipped the birthday bash, a second source claimed to Us that there was lingering tension between the actress and Victoria. Feud rumors began circulating in 2022 after Nicola didn’t wear a wedding gown made by her future mother-in-law’s eponymous brand. Victoria, Nicola and Brooklyn, however, all denied any bad blood or hurt feelings.

“I was going to and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, [Victoria] realized that her atelier couldn’t do it, so then I had to pick another dress,” Nicola told Variety in August 2022, denying the feud speculation. “She didn’t say you can’t wear it; I didn’t say I didn’t want to wear it.”
The second insider, however, claimed that the drama “never really got smoothed over” after the wedding.
“You can tell it still affects everyone,” the second source told Us earlier in May. “The tension is still present, and it’s hard for Brooklyn at times. Brooklyn’s having a tough time with it. He’s super stubborn and just wants space from his family right now.”
Ego Nwodim returned to Saturday Night Live’s “Weekend Update” — even after her now-viral bit seemingly landed her in hot water with the network.
“You know her, you love her [and] you got her fined by the FCC, show some love for Miss Eggy,” costar Colin Jost quipped during the Saturday, May 17, segment.
Nwodim, 37, then walked onstage, microphone in hand, to deliver a fictional stand-up set about airplane food. She previously debuted her alter ego during the April 5 episode, where fans interrupted her remarks.
“Cory Booker out here with his filibuster — shoot, I’ve had my fill of busters ’cause these men ain’t what?” Nwodim said at the time, holding out her mic toward the audience.
“Y’all gonna have to pay for that,” Nwodim answered back, joking about a potential fine. “Lorne [Michaels, the showrunner] is gonna be mad at y’all.”
The curse word was only heard on the live broadcast, quickly censored out by NBC and Peacock simulcasts. The FCC (Federal Communications Commission) has a list of seven words that can’t be uttered on TV: s***, piss, f***, c***, c***sucker, motherf***er and t***.

“Because obscenity is not protected by the First Amendment, it is prohibited on cable, satellite and broadcast TV and radio,” the FCC guidelines read. “However, the same rules for indecency and profanity do not apply to cable, satellite TV and satellite radio because they are subscription services.”
It is not expressly known whether Nwodim and the SNL team actually received a fine, or how much it was, for the fans’ blunder.
On Saturday, Nwodim and Jost, 42, also joked about the audience’s moment.
“If we hit turbulence, Colin, just take a Benadryl and what?” she asked.
Jost, in response, said, “Shut your gay a** up.”
Nwodim pretended to look shocked and added, “No, Colin, no! What?”
Jost brushed off his joke attempt to conclude the “Weekend Update” segment. “Enjoy the flight! Miss Eggy, everyone,” Jost stated.
Saturday’s episode was the 50th season finale, which was hosted by Jost’s wife, Scarlett Johansson. The Marvel star, 40, even appeared earlier in the “Weekend Update” segment, helping Jost get revenge on Michael Che for making him say a crude joke about her body earlier this year.
“The fact is, I was just lashing out because I’m jealous,” Che, 41, read aloud, issuing an apology to Johansson. “I’ve never ever seen a human vagina. And notice I said ‘human’ because I once spent the summer on a farm. Maybe I’m just embarrassed about my own body. I can’t even take my hoodie off during sex because I have more nipples than a pregnant dog.”
Saturday Night Live airs on NBC Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. ET.
Prince William enjoyed a sporty day out at the FA Cup Finals on Saturday, May 17.
William, 42, dressed smartly in a navy suit as he watched the matchup between Crystal Palace and Manchester City at London’s Wembley Stadium on Saturday. After Crystal Palace toppled their opponents 1-0 to take home their first-ever major trophy, William greeted the players and coaches on the field to offer his congratulations.
The Prince of Wales is a noted soccer fan, even bringing 11-year-old son Prince George to the FA Finals last year. While William loves supporting the Aston Villa club in particular, he wouldn’t push George or younger kids Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, to follow in his footsteps. (William shares his three children with wife Princess Kate Middleton.)
“I’m letting [George] choose his own way [and a team to support]. It’s about finding what fits for him. … I do like the values and the ethos of the club,” William said on “That Peter Crouch Podcast” in July 2020, referring to his support of Aston Villa. “I want them to look after the players and set a good example to the young fans. I want our children, when they go to the match, to come away loving what they’ve seen, enjoying it and seeing their role models behave in a way that we’d all want them to.”
While Kate, 43, and their three children were seemingly absent on Saturday, they also get passionate about watching soccer games.
“If I’m home alone with the children, I probably don’t have the pre-match pint, but I do have a bit of superstition about where I sit when I’m watching them,” William quipped in a March interview with The Sun. “If we’re not doing very well, I start moving ‘round the house quite quickly and I put the children in different positions hoping that’s going to change our luck.”

William also stressed that he wasn’t putting pressure on George, Charlotte and Louis to pick their allegiances.
“I’m kind of hoping they’ll all find their own teams in time,” the prince said earlier this year. “I’m trying not to be biased but obviously they see how passionate I am about it, and they watch the matches with me. I’m trying to spread the love a little bit.”
William’s FA Cup outing comes on the heels of lingering family drama. William and his father, King Charles III, have been estranged from Prince Harry in recent years. (Charles, 76, shared his sons with late ex-wife Princess Diana.)
Harry, 40, and wife Meghan Markle stepped down from their duties as senior working royals in 2020, settling in Montecito, California, with their two children. The decision sparked tension with his relatives across the pond, which continued to heighten during Harry’s fight to restore his government-funded security in England. (He lost his most recent appeal earlier in May.)
As a result, a source recently claimed to Us Weekly that William and Kate won’t give Harry and Meghan, 43, “the time of day.”
“William is more hurt than anything else,” the source exclusively told Us. “The first step is to stop talking to the public about private matters. They don’t see a path forward until Harry can stay quiet.”
Bill Belichick is opening up about his 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson’s role in managing his various professional commitments.
“I stay focused on football and, some of the other opportunities that come along, Jordon looks at those and can dig into them a little bit deeper,” Belichick, 73, said on the Friday, May 16, episode of “The Pivot” podcast. “But really, what she does is help me spend my time on football, and that’s what’s important to me.”
Belichick has been dating Hudson, who is 48 years his junior, since 2021 after they met on an airplane. Since then, the couple’s age-gap romance has raised eyebrows and sparked speculation about whether Hudson was making decisions regarding Belichick’s professional engagements and coaching schedule at University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill.
On Thursday’s podcast appearance, Belichick was specifically asked to list Hudson’s “actual job responsibilities.”
“Well, nothing with North Carolina. That would be No. 1,” Belichick stated. “It would be personal opportunities, [like] a speaking thing, appearance on this or talk about this or somebody happens to want an autograph, that type of thing. So, she kind of helped organize that for me.”
Belichick also explained why he asked his UNC colleagues to “copy Jordon on these [email] requests” he received at the start of his coaching gig.
“So she could, at least, filter through them because we didn’t have a sports information guy,” Belichick said. “That was taken as ‘Jordon’s running the sports information department.’ She’s not doing it. I mean, there was nobody to help me sort them out, so I was asking her to do that.”
While Belichick further stressed that Hudson is not involved in football or UNC duties, she only “makes recommendations or gives guidance” regarding other opportunities.
“That was similar to the book,” he added of his upcoming memoir. “There were certain things in the book, as I was writing it, that she looked at from a business perspective. It didn’t really fit the business narrative that the book was intended to target, and so, not only did she create those pages, but she also brought a business perspective to some of the narratives that came out in the book that was very helpful.”
Belichick, who said that Hudson “had a lot to do” with developing The Art of Winning: Lessons from My Life in Football, also praised her business knowledge before they got together.
“Jordon has her own businesses and she’s savvy in those,” he added. “I’m football and I let her help me with business.”
Belichick and Hudson’s relationship isn’t all business. During his “Pivot” appearance, he was also asked about their now-viral beach acrobatic yoga session earlier this year.
“Trying to stay young,” he quipped when asked whether he enjoyed balancing Hudson on his feet.
Minnesota Timberwolves star Rudy Gobert addressed “a lot of inaccurate information” about his relationship with Julia Bonilla.
“Julia and I are currently in the painful process of redefining our coparenting relationship,” Gobert, 32, wrote in an Instagram Story statement on Friday, May 16. “Being a father is one of the most profound and meaningful experiences I will get to live. It is one of my most important life purposes and will be so forever.”
He continued, “I’m fully committed to keep supporting the well-being of all the people that I care about. I’m asking everyone to please refrain from speculation and respect our privacy in these difficult times.”
News broke several hours earlier that Gobert and Bonilla, who TMZ reported is pregnant with their second baby, broke up.According to the outlet, Gobert allegedly requested that Bonilla and eldest son Romeo, 12 months, vacate his house at the start of the NBA playoffs. (Bonilla and the toddler were last spotted at Gobert’s April 13 Timberwolves game.)
“I’m going through one of the most painful times in my life, feeling isolated, far from my family and friends,” Bonilla, who has not publicly announced her pregnancy, wrote in a since-expired Instagram Story message, per social media screenshots. “I considered Rudy the love of my life. I left everything for him. I gave him a child and poured my heart into our relationship.”
She added, “When everyone criticized him and insulted him, I stood by him, always putting him first and choosing him, always. Despite how I have been treated, I choose to protect his name for the sake of my children. I have NEVER EVER been unfaithful to the father of my children.”

Bonilla further stressed that as a mother, she “must prioritize [her] health and well-being.”
“Thank you for respecting my privacy during this challenging time,” she concluded.
Gobert has previously been candid about making his family a top priority, even missing a May 2024 NBA game when Bonilla gave birth.
“It has been clear for me from the beginning, I would do anything I can to be there,” he said in a March 2024 press conference. “I don’t think there’s any debate to have. That’s what I love about [my teammates]. We have a level of human connection and empathy for one another that I think is really good. All the guys will be literally telling me, ‘Don’t play. Go.’”
At the time, Gobert further referred to his impending parenthood as “a blessing” and “something that [he’s] always wanted” in life.
After Dakota Johnson decided college wasn’t for her, she was financially cut off by her father, fellow actor Don Johnson.
“I didn’t get in [to The Juilliard School] and my dad cut me off because I didn’t go to college,” Dakota, 35, told Elle UK in a profile published on Wednesday, May 14. “So, I started auditioning. I think I was 19 when I did The Social Network, and then little jobs and stuff after that.”
Dakota is the daughter of Doctor Odyssey star Don, 75, and ex Melanie Griffith, who also each have multiple children from other relationships. As for Dakota, she was so set on following in her parents’ acting footsteps that she didn’t feel the need to apply to other schools besides Juilliard in New York City.
Instead, Dakota stayed in Los Angeles and started hustling for roles and auditions.
“For a couple of years, it was hard to make money,” she admitted to Elle. “There were a few times when I’d go to the market and not have money in my bank account or not be able to pay rent, and I’d have to ask my parents for help.”
Dakota added, “I’m very grateful that I had parents [who] could help me and did help me, but it certainly was not fun. The auditioning process, as you know, is the f***ing worst.”

Don previously shared that he maintains a family rule that his children can only stay “on the payroll” if they are enrolled in school.
“We have a rule in the family that, you know, if you stay in school, you get to stay on the payroll,” he said on a 2021 episode of Late Night With Seth Meyers. “So, you go to college, you get to stay on the payroll. Toward the end of high school, I went to [Dakota] and I said, ‘So, do you want to go visit some colleges?’ Or something like that. And she was like, ‘Oh, no. I’m not going to college.’”
He continued, “I went, ‘OK, you know what that means? You won’t be on the payroll anymore.’”
When Don initially asked Dakota how she would manage her finances on her own, she replied, “Don’t worry about it.” Dakota booked her debut role in 2010’s The Social Network three weeks later.
“And the rest is, shall we say, cinema history,” Don recalled at the time of his daughter, who went on to star in projects such as 50 Shades of Grey, Madame Web and the upcoming The Materialists. “She doesn’t really call me for advice. She calls me to say, ‘Gosh, I would see you, but I’ve got three pictures that I’m shooting at the same time.’”
Amid swirling speculation about her marriage to rocker Tommy Lee, social media star Brittany Furlan is clarifying where they stand.
“I’ve been going through a lot in my marriage, which is not anyone’s business,” Furlan, 38, said in a TikTok video posted on Friday, May 16, claiming that she’s been living in a hotel amid the “tough times” in her relationship.
Lee, 62, and Furlan started dating in 2017, getting married two years later in February 2019. Speculation swirled earlier this month that the Motley Crue musician and Furlan had separated. Neither Lee nor Furlan immediately addressed the rumors. Us Weekly has reached out for comment.
Furlan also claimed on Friday that she had been “catfished” on social media by an individual she presumed to be Falling In Reverse frontman Ronnie Radke, who allegedly harassed her for two weeks.
“I told my husband everything. I said, ‘I’ve been talking to whoever I thought this was on Snapchat, he says it’s not him. Cool, whatever,’” Furlan said. “Because I’m a good person. I mean, I’m not a good person for talking to someone while I’m married, [but] I’ve been going through a lot in my marriage. No excuse, [so] I come clean to my husband.”
According to Furlan, Lee subsequently freaked out and messaged the alleged catfish himself. The social media user claimed that Furlan had been “liking” their posts and sending messages in the DMs.
“Go to any of my husband’s friends’ [profiles], I like all their s*** because I’m supportive,” she said. “I message f***ing everybody. I’m in everybody’s DMs all the time, girls, guys [and] whatever. I love people. You’re not special.”
Furlan further asked the social media user to “leave [her] alone” moving forward.
“This is embarrassing for me, embarrassing for my husband,” she concluded. “This whole f***ing thing is embarrassing. I’ve been struggling with s*** at home [and] I’m in a f***ing hotel. Like, leave us f***ing alone, bro. … I’m done. Anyone can think what they will. All good.”
Lee seemingly addressed the situation on Friday, writing, “Who’s been catfished?” via Instagram without further explanation.
Before his marriage to Furlan, Lee wed Pamela Anderson in 1995. After welcoming sons Brandon and Dylan, the pair divorced in 1998. Furlan has also made it clear that she holds no ill will toward the 57-year-old Last Showgirl actress.
Cassie’s husband, Alex Fine, has been by her side ever since they started dating in 2018.
“I’m a father, husband and actor. Family and work take the most importance and focus in my life,” Fine toldZero the Magazine in January 2025. “I became the man I am today a lot from the environment I grew up in. My mom and dad are the best, and they let me be independent in a rougher environment.”
Fine and Cassie (real name Casandra Ventura) have been married since October 2019, going on to welcome two daughters with another baby on the way as of spring 2025.
In November 2023, Cassie accused ex-boyfriend Sean “Diddy” Combs of repeated sexual assault and abuse in a lawsuit. He denied the allegations before they settled out of court within a day. Through it all, Fine remained steadfast in Cassie’s corner.
“Cassie always thanks her daughters and husband for bringing her healing and happiness. Alex has always been the rock she needed,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly in May 2024, noting she sees Fine as a “true protector” and “finally feels safe.”
That same month, Fine noted via Instagram that he hopes their children can “live in a world that’s safe for women and girls, protects them and treats them as equals.”
“To the women and children, you’re not alone, and you are heard,” Fine added, alongside the phone number to the Domestic Violence Hotline. “Our daughters, sisters, mothers and wives should feel protected and loved. Hold the women in your life with the upmost regard. … To all the survivors, find the men and women who help and love.”

Alex Fine Is a Fitness Trainer and an Actor
Fine got his professional start as a personal trainer before pursuing various acting roles. His credits include 1883, The Resurrection of Charles Manson, American Primeval and MobLand.
“I needed to build a steady career to live the life I wanted to while I pursued acting,” he told Zero. “Some people choose bartending, or valet until they get work, I chose fitness and opening a gym in my garage.”
He Also Goes by ‘Poonie’
Fine noted to Zero that his close friends have called him “Poonie” since childhood for undisclosed reasons. While the moniker is listed on Fine’s official Instagram page, he professionally answers to his given name.
After a year of dating, Fine proposed in August 2019 when Cassie was pregnant with their first baby. He organized a cowboy-themed setup with the Compton Cowboys equestrian group.
“The first thing I saw was the guys on their horses waving at me,” Cassie told Vogue at the time. “I looked up and saw our initials tied up above them, then Alex came around on his horse. When he got down on one knee, everything just stopped. I felt like I lost my sense of hearing; I just saw his mouth moving, and he said, ‘I want to spend the rest of my life with you.’ I will never forget how special Alex made me feel that night.”
The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony that October.

Cassie and Fine welcomed daughters Frankie and Sunny in December 2019 and March 2021, respectively. The couple frequently shares sweet family moments via social media.
In honor of Frankie’s 4th birthday, Fine penned a lengthy letter to his firstborn.
“I will be the first man in your life and will show you the greatest love and affection now and forever,” he wrote via Instagram in December 2023. “I never thought my heart could grow bigger after meeting your mother. Then, I found out we were having you and I instantly felt a love that is so indescribable.”
He added, “I promise to be at every dance recital, concert, sporting event, school plays whatever you decide to do I will be there and support you. I am your No. 1 fan. I promise to be a man that you and your mother look up to and love. I will always listen and put the both of you first. I will show you a healthy relationship and how you deserve to be treated. I promise to never approve of any boy you like because they will never be good enough for my baby girl. Sorry.”
Alex Fine Has Been by Cassie’s Side During Diddy Trial Testimony

Diddy was arrested in September 2024 on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has denied all allegations and pleaded not guilty.
“We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office,” Diddy’s lawyer Marc Agnifilo told Us Weekly in a statement at the time. “Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children and working to uplift the Black community. He is an imperfect person, but he is not a criminal.”
When a trial began in May 2025, Cassie delivered a four-day testimony, in which she discussed her accusations and their past relationship at length. Fine was present nearly the entire time, only stepping out when Cassie recalled a 2018 encounter with Diddy while she was already dating Fine. (The defense attorneys previously indicated that Fine might be called as a witness later during the trial.)
“Over the past five days, the world has gotten to witness the strength and bravery of my wife freeing herself of her past,” the statement read. “There has been speculation online surrounding how it must feel for me to sit there and listen to my wife’s testimony. I have felt so many things sitting there. I have felt tremendous pride and overwhelming love for Cass. I have felt profound anger that she has been subjected to sitting in front of a person who tried to break her.”
He added, “So to him and all of those who helped him along the way, please know this. You did not. You did not break her spirit, nor her smile, that lights up every room. You did not break the soul of a mother who gives the best hugs and plays the silliest games with our little girls. You did not break the woman who has made me a better man.”
