Obamas' production company exploring Tiger Woods biopic: report

Tiger Woods remains one of the most recognizable athletes in sports. And the 15-time major championship winner's life could soon be chronicled on film.

Amazon MGM Studios has secured the rights to Kevin Cook's "The Tiger Slam: The Inside Story of the Greatest Golf Ever Played," a studio spokesperson confirmed to People.

The movie from Amazon will be based on the book that hit shelves in December. Former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama are "in talks" to join the project through their company, Higher Ground Productions, according to Deadline.

Reinaldo Marcus Green, whose film credits include "King Richard," is also drawing interest in the project about Woods. Green is being considered to direct the film, according to the report.

Actor Will Smith won an Academy Award for his portrayal of Richard Williams, the father and former coach of tennis greats Serena and Venus Williams in "King Richard." The Williams sisters were listed as the film's executive producers.

TIGER WOODS NOT IN THE PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP FIELD IN FINAL YEAR OF EXEMPTION

Cook's book features stories from "many of golf’s biggest names — Tiger’s caddie, his coach, his opponents, his idols and others, all offering fresh insight into the electrifying highs of his victories and the obstacles on and off the course that threatened his relentless pursuit of perfection"

A timetable for the documentary's release was not made available.

Woods had been preparing for next month's Masters tournament. But it's unlikely he'll compete at Augusta National after Woods announced Tuesday he had surgery to address a ruptured Achilles tendon.

"I am back home now and plan to focus on my recovery and rehab, thank you for all the support," the five-time Masters winner wrote on X.

In February, Woods announced that his mother, Kutilda Woods, had died at the age of 81.

"It is with heartfelt sadness that I want to share that my dear mother, Kultida Woods, passed away early this morning," Woods wrote. "My Mom was a force of nature all her own, her spirit was simply undeniable. She was quick with the needle and a laugh. She was my biggest fan, greatest supporter, without her none of my personal achievements would have been possible. She was loved by so many, but especially by her two grandchildren, Sam and Charlie."

Obama and Tiger Woods have a history. Obama once traveled to Florida to play a round of golf with Woods during his presidency. Woods visited the White House during a celebration of the Presidents Cup American and International golf teams in June 2014.

The former president and former first lady's production company has brought numerous projects to the screen since its 2018 launch, including the docuseries "Our Oceans and Court of Gold" and "Rustin."

The Obamas' company also teamed up with LeBron James' Uninterrupted and Peyton Manning's Omaha Productions to produce "Starting 5." The docuseries was released on Netflix last year and followed James, Anthony Edwards and other NBA stars on and off the court.

Earlier today, Google unveiled Gemma 3—a series of open-source AI models that run on just a single GPU or TPU,  designed to make AI development faster and more accessible. That’s a sharp contrast to rivals like DeepSeek’s 6R1, which burns […]

Tyler Cameron Says He Was Told His House Was 'Too Small' for Hometowns

Tyler Cameron’s hometown date on The Bachelorette season 15 wasn’t actually filmed in his own house.

“My mom busted her a– [and] I learned she painted the house, she had my aunts, uncles [and] everyone over there working their tails off to get this house looking good,” Cameron, 32, recalled in a Tuesday, March 11, TikTok video. “It was really beat-up and as she did all that work, the Bachelorette producers told us, ‘It’s too small. It’s not going to work.’”

According to Cameron, his family hosted lead Hannah Brown “from my cousin’s house.”

“We hosted the dinner and hangout there,” Cameron recalled. “I was very upset about this. I was like, ‘I grew up in this house. I’ve lived there since I was a baby. It’s the first house I lived in. This means a lot to me.’ Didn’t matter.”

Bachelorette Hannah Brown and Tyler Cameron's Relationship: The Way They Were

Cameron appeared on Brown’s season of The Bachelorette in 2019, eventually introducing her to his loved ones during a Florida hometown date. In addition to meeting his whole family at a cousin’s residence, the contractor took Brown, now 30, on a boat excursion.

“To make matters worse, the boat that I went on wasn’t even my boat. And why? Because they said my boat was too small,” he further claimed. “I told Hannah. I was like, ‘This isn’t my boat. This isn’t my house. I’m not trying to front.’”

According to Cameron, he was “pissed off” that he couldn’t film in his real properties. (The Bachelor franchise has not publicly addressed Cameron’s claims though many other show alums have also alleged they filmed hometowns in different houses for similar reasons.)

“But, it is what it is. I can’t do anything about it,” Cameron concluded. “Lesson of the story: It’s not about the size of the boat, it’s about the size of the motion in the ocean. That’s all.”

He added, “It pisses me off when they do that, like, let’s be real. [I’ll] show you my little-a– house that I grew up in since I was a baby, show you the holes in the wall. I don’t care.”

Cameron was the runner-up on Brown’s season and they’ve since remained friendly as they each romantically moved on with Tate Madden and Adam Woolard, respectively. He even reunited with Brown for a 2024 episode of his Going Home renovation docuseries.

“I really had a call and a favor for her,” Cameron exclusively told Us Weekly in April 2024. “I really needed her to do this for me because my designer Jess [Quintero] was too busy. She’s like, ‘Ty, I can’t do this anymore.’ I go, ‘Jess, this is my dream home to renovate. We have to find a way to do this.’”

He added, “[Hannah] came down and she was a rock star. She had a beautiful design. She worked her butt off and she was a complete pro and just so great to work with. I think we had to iron some things out, but I thought we worked out honestly better than expected. I was curious to see how it was going to be, but she’s such a trooper and she did such a great job.”

Brown worked as an interior designer before appearing on Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor, which aired ahead of her own journey as the lead.

16 Dresses That Instantly Make Petite Gals Look Taller

If you’re a petite gal, or fall somewhere in the “normal” height range but are still the shortest one in your friend group, much of our team understands the struggle. It’s not just the inability to reach shelves that’s on the list of grievances — everything from posing in group photos to finding a jacket that doesn’t swallow you whole is 10 times harder for ladies under 5’4.

Perhaps the biggest challenge — bigger than finding jeans that don’t drag on the floor — is finding a dress that doesn’t make you look shorter than you already are. Most styles aren’t designed with lengthening in mind and overwhelm petite frames. However, there are a select few that leverage specific cuts, designs, prints and fits to make your legs — and entire body — look longer. We rounded up these ultra-trendy, flattering and budget-friendly pieces below!

1. New Drop: We’re certain this button-up maxi dress will be a spring and summer bestseller. Ribbed material and vertical line detailing work together as an elongating power duo!

Workouts and Fitness Gear Starting at $22 That Drew, Kate and Other Celebrities Really Use

It’s easy to look at celebrities who get into great shape for a role and think that it’s easy for them because they have fancy equipment, personal trainers and chefs to set everything up for success. While that is true to a certain extent, almost al of them has a home gym, too, and many of the options that stars use are available to you for not that much money! You’ll still have to put in the effort, of course, but I’ve rounded up some of the best celebrity fitness equipment and workouts they actually do. Now you can get that Hollywood bod on a budget!

Drew Barrymore: Yoga Workout

One of the best things about yoga is that it doesn’t require a huge investment. In fact, you barely need anything at all. Drew Barrymore told Us that she uses hot yoga to get into swimsuit shape for the summer. In addition to weight loss, according to the American Osteopathic Association yoga can also increase flexibility, improve heart health and protect you from injury. Us Weekly saw Drew going to her yoga class with a bright orange yoga mat, and you can get one like hers on Amazon.

Mark Wahlberg: Smith Machine Leg Workout

Mark Wahlberg has been on the frontline of celebrity fitness culture for decades. You’ve likely heard of his famous early morning workouts in his incredible home gym. Last year Mark did a 63-hour fast, then an intense leg workout, which you probably shouldn’t do without clearance from a doctor. One of Mark’s equipment staples is a Smith Machine, which offers more stability during your lifts versus free weights.

There are many Smith Machine options depending on your budget, but we like this Oppsdecor machine for less than $300. It has a 4.5-star rating on Amazon, and reviewers appreciate its build quality and ability to provide a great full-body workout on a budget.

Kate Hudson: Pilates Reformer Workout

The great thing about a Pilates workout is that you don’t need a lot of equipment to get started. However, when you’re a celebrity like Kate Hudson, you have the money to buy the best. In fact, Life and Style showed that Kate has multiple Pilates Reformer machines in her home.

If you’re not familiar,  a reformer is a device that offers a wide range of controlled movements through pulleys, straps, a sliding carriage, footbars, headrests and springs. I think it looks a bit like a medieval torture device but many celebrities swear by them, including Kate. You can easily spend thousands on a reformer machine but we like this Dpiolrcag brand reformer for under $400.

Chris Hemsworth: Dumbbell Workout

In order to pack on lean mass like Chris Hemsworth did for the Thor franchise, using dumbbells for a classic bodybuilding routine is the way to go. Back in 2019, Men’s Health showed Chris doing a crazy dumbell workout circuit. This works great to help build muscle and keep the heart rate up to burn more fat.

Many celebrities have full home gyms with separate dumbbells for each weight. While this works if you have the space, an adjustable dumbbell set is much more space efficient. The gold standard here is Bowflex, which has an easy turn dial to change out your weights.

Chrissy Teigan: TRX Workout

The model and television personality keeps in shape with a relatively modest workout approach. Although Chrissy has a full home gym setup, one part of that is a TRX suspension training system, according to Hello!. TRX uses straps that attach to a door, rafter, or beam to provide a full body workout using your own bodyweight. You can also take the system outside or pretty much anywhere you can mount it safely, which is great for travel. For under $200 at Amazon, it’s a great workout tool that even we can afford.

Eminem: Running Treadmill Workout

Back in 2007, the real Slim Shady wasn’t so Slim Em told Men’s Journal that he was recovering from drug addiction and after getting out of rehab, he started running on a treadmill to lose the weight. This ultimately worked and he eventually lost 81 pounds! Guess who’s back? Back again! If you’re going to try to copy Eminem’s plan, make sure you have a quality treadmill like this T Series from Nordic Track. Em also mentioned tight hip flexors, so some added yoga mobility work recommended by Drew Barrymore may also help!

Naomi Campbell: Kettlebell Workout

Legendary supermodel Naomi Campbell keeps in top shape as she ages by using kettlebells in her home gym. The most popular exercise is the kettlebell swing, but you can use them to replace nearly any free weight exercise with minor modifications. We like Yes4All’s trio of kettlebells because they come in 10, 15 and 20-pound weights so you can make progress right away. They also have a 4.5 star rating on Amazon with over 1,300 reviews.

Hugh Jackman: Rowing Machine Workout

Famously jacked man Hugh Jackman made a big comeback last year when he reprised the role of Wolverine in Deadpool and Wolverine. Hugh needed to get lean for his shirtless scene and he says one of the best ways to do that is by using a rowing machine. Hugh told Us back in 2019 that he loves rowing because it “strips fat” and “uses every single muscle.” To achieve this goal, the Concept2 rowing machine is a great option, which has over 500 reviews, a 4.5 star rating and a two-year warranty. Many reviewers noticed its excellent build quality and Concept2’s great customer service.
