While Trachtenberg was not in montage, which played during the Sunday, March 2, ceremony held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, she was listed as one of the names that Hollywood has lost in 2024-2025 on the official Academy website. (Shannen Doherty was also absent from the ceremony’s montage and only listed online.)
Days before the event, TheHollywood Reporter reported that Oscars executive producers are not responsible for who ends up in the tribute — instead the responsibility is bestowed upon an executive committee representing all 19 Academy branches. The group must compile a four-minute montage, which isn’t enough time to include everyone.
“We have to recognize all the art forms that go into the creation of motion pictures,” former Academy executive director Bruce Davis, who helped run past committees, said. “And if you include all the people, the steam goes out of the boiler very quickly.”
A source close to the outlet claimed that previous Oscar winners and Governors Award honorees have the best chance of being featured, followed by recipients of the Academy’s Scientific and Technical Awards. After that, a nominee would be considered. (Trachtenberg was not an Oscar nominee in her career.)
Us Weekly confirmed on Wednesday, February 26, that Trachtenberg was found unconscious inside her apartment in New York City’s Midtown West. Police sources told Us that the incident was not believed to be suspicious.
“It is with great sadness to confirm that Michelle Trachtenberg has passed away,” a rep for Trachtenberg told Us in a statement. “The family requests privacy for their loss. There are no further details at this time.”
The city medical examiner’s office told the New York Post on Thursday, February 27, that Trachtenberg’s death was officially listed as “undetermined” because her family objected to an autopsy.
Multiple sources told Us that Trachtenberg had a liver transplant before her death. It is unclear whether the organ transplant played a role in her death.
Trachtenberg skyrocketed to stardom in the 1996 movie Harriet the Spy, which she starred in alongside Rosie O’Donnell. In a statement to Us on Wednesday, O’Donnell, 61, called Trachtenberg’s death “heartbreaking,” adding, “I loved her very much. She struggled the last few years. I wish I could have helped.”
Trachtenberg went on to join the cast of Buffy the Vampire Slayer as Sarah Michelle Gellar’s onscreen sister, Dawn. Gellar, 47, mourned the loss of Trachtenberg in an emotional social media tribute on Thursday.
“Michelle, listen to me. Listen. I love you. I will always love you,’” Gellar wrote via Instagram, quoting a scene between her and Trachtenberg’s characters. She then quoted Dawn’s famous line from the musical episode: “‘The hardest thing in this world, is to live in it. I will be brave. I will live… for you.’ .’”
Trachtenberg also made appearances as a guest star on Gossip Girl as Georgina Sparks, as well as films including 17 Again and Ice Princess. The actress reprised her role as Georgina in 2022 and 2023 episodes of the short-lived Gossip Girl revival, which premiered in 2021.
“You’d hang out with her, and it wasn’t like she was crazily famous, but those who loved her were obsessed and would come up and talk,” an insider told Us, while a separate source added, “She was a lovely human being and a good friend. She remembered birthdays, was kind, and if she saw something on Instagram, she would reach out and say something nice.”
Berry, 58, embraced Brody, 51, on the Sunday, March 2, red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, and the pair planted a kiss on each other’s lips for several seconds. After another hug, Brody gave Berry a kiss on the cheek while they both smiled.
“I had to do that,” Berry said in a clip shared via Access Hollywood. (Berry is a presenter at the ceremony, while Brody is nominated for Best Actor for his role in The Brutalist.)
While sharing a video of the interaction, the official Academy Instagram account captioned the clip, “A reunion 22 years in the making. #Oscars.”
The caption was in reference to Berry and Brody’s onstage kiss at the 2003 ceremony. Berry, who won Best Actress for Monster’s Ball in 2022, returned to the show the following year to present the category for Best Actor. Brody, for his part, was nominated for the award for his role in The Pianist.
After winning the award, Brody ran to the podium and embraced Berry — and kissed her on the lips for several moments while placing her in a dip and holding her head. “I bet they didn’t tell you that was in the gift bag,” he said while beginning his speech.
While reflecting on the interaction years later, Brody called it “one of the most memorable moments ever” in a 2015 interview with Vanity Fair. “You could say time slowed down,” he said. “That was that moment where I really, really felt it slow down. In fact, it must have, because by the time I got finished kissing her, and people kinda settled in, they were already flashing the sign that said, ‘Get off the stage, your time is up.'”
Two years later, Berry confirmed that the kiss was “not planned” during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.
“That was not planned. I knew nothing about it,” she said in 2017. “I was like, ‘What the f—‘s happening right now?’ That is what was going through my mind. Though she posed for red carpet pics solo, Antonoff, 40, was seen holding his wife’s hand as they entered the venue. The musician rocked a dark gray suit and his signature glasses.
Qualley attended the event in support of The Substance, which she starred in alongside Demi Moore. The film received five nominations including Directing, Makeup Artist and Hairstyling, Best Picture, Writing (Original Screenplay) and Actress in a Leading Role for Moore, 62.
The couple have stepped out to support each other at various awards ceremonies, with Qualley joining Antonoff at the 2025 Grammys. Antonoff was nominated for his work on Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department and Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet.
Qualley and Antonoff were first linked in August 2021, making their red carpet debut the following year at the AFI Awards Luncheon. After sparking engagement rumors at the Cannes Film Festival, Qualley seemingly confirmed the pair took the next step in their relationship in 2022. “Oh I love him!” she captioned an Instagram photo at the time, showing off her ring.

Like, can we tweak?’ It’s like, I think there should be a collaborative thing.”
As speculation swirled of a rift between It Ends With Us costars Lively, 37, and Baldoni, 41, in August 2024, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that the pair had “creative differences” while filming. Months later, Lively made headlines when she filed a lawsuit in December 2024 accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment. He has denied all allegations. Baldoni fired back with a $400 million lawsuit against Lively, Ryan Reynolds and her publicist, Leslie Sloane, claiming the actress was “determined to make Baldoni the real-life villain in her story.” Lively has denied the accusations.

In Kramer’s mind, it’s important to be “mindful” when giving suggested edits as an actor. “I was like, ‘But I totally understand it’s your movie and, like, you wrote this and you’re so passionate about it,’” Kramer said. “I think it’s OK to be able to kind of have that voice.”
Kramer shared that “for so long” she “never said anything” and was “the puppet that went to the place.” Now, she has “a little bit more insight” and wants to have some ideas.

“If I’m writing something that I’m writing, then that’s mine. If I come on board, like this movie that Jon Gunn wrote, The Unbreakable Boy, I didn’t come in with any ideas of like, ‘I’m going to rewrite your stuff,’” Facinelli, 51, said. “I’m not going to rewrite it or take over other people’s stuff. There’s definitely collaboration, like, ‘Hey, maybe this would be more fun this way.’ But I’m always respectful because I direct as well and I would never want somebody kind of taking over my stuff.”
As a director, Facinelli shared that he’s “also very collaborative” and is “all for” anything that’s a better idea. “It’s a very collaborative medium for sure,” he said. “I love actors who — if they say something that’s more interesting than what I wrote, then great. And if my writing is working, then let’s go back to that.”

Betsy Arakawa may have been in a three-decade relationship with famous, Oscar-winning husband Gene Hackman, but her life was largely out of the spotlight.
The couple met while she was working part-time in a California fitness center, per The New York Times. After living together for several years, Arakawa and Hackman tied the knot in 1991. (Hackman was previously married to Faye Maltese from 1956 to 1986. The Oscar winner and Maltese, who died in 2017, shared three children: Christopher, Elizabeth and Leslie.)
Arakawa and Hackman resided in Santa Fe, New Mexico, for over 30 years until their deaths in 2025. The Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to Us Weekly in February 2025 that the pair and their dog were found dead at their home. According to the statement, foul play was not suspected as a factor but the exact cause of death “has not been determined” with an investigation ongoing.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy,” a statement to Us read, which was signed by Elizabeth, Leslie and Annie Hackman. “He was loved and admired by millions around the world for his brilliant acting career, but to us he was always just Dad and Grandpa. Newsweek reported that Arakawa hailed from Hawaii and spent time in California before ultimately relocating to Santa Fe, New Mexico, with Hackman circa 1990 to a home featured in Architectural Digest.

When this particular brand was “put in front” of her, Earle thought it was the right fit because she had been “obsessed” with the company. (Earle did not name the brand in the video.)
“So I was like, ‘Let me explore this.’ I still didn’t really think anything would come of it. … I was basically like, ‘I’ll invest in this company. I’ll put my money in it,’” she said, sharing that it will be launching in March. “I’m so happy I can finally talk about this.”
The update comes one day after Us confirmed on Tuesday, February 25, that Earle’s “Hot Mess” was dropped by Unwell Network. Variety, who broke the news, reported that SiriusXM will no longer sell ads for “Hot Mess” and that the Unwell Network has renounced rights to the podcast.
Cooper launched her own beverage, Unwell Hydration, in December 2024. The point of the nonalcoholic drink, which is available in three flavors, “is to kind of meet you where you’re at, and it is for everybody in whatever unwell state you are in,” Cooper told Us at the time. “No one is perfect. We’re all a little unwell.”
Cooper initially signed Earle and “Pretty Lonesome” host Madeline Argy to the Unwell Network in August 2023. The network, which launched at the same time, was created in an effort to cater to Gen Z audiences with “unique voices that embrace social challenges and personal insecurities through honest conversation.”
Now, less than two years later, eagle-eyed social media users began speculating of a rift between Earle and Cooper, with multiple sources telling Us the rumors held some weight. In the latest issue of Us, an insider revealed that there was “a lot of tension” between the pair.
“They’ve had a lot of drama between them [since] they decided to collaborate on Unwell,” a second source shared. “They clashed over business, and their friendship is over because of it.”

A source confirmed that Earle can explore other opportunities, which she has been wanting to do. “Alix is working on bigger projects not related to the podcast space,” one insider said.
The same source shared to Us that Alix’s dad, Thomas “TJ” Earle, contributed. “Alix’s dad got more involved in her business decisions and did not like what Unwell was doing. He ultimately thought it ended up not being a smart business move,” the insider said.
Drake has postponed his remaining Australia and New Zealand tour dates due to “a scheduling conflict.”
“We are actively working on rescheduling these dates along with adding some additional shows,” Drake’s rep said in a statement to Rolling Stone AU/NZ. “All tickets for the affected shows will remain valid for the new dates. Refunds will be available for those who prefer, but please note that as these shows are sold out, any refunded tickets will be released for sale.”
The statement continued, “We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience. Drake and the entire team have had an incredible time doing these shows and are excited to return soon. We look forward to sharing the rescheduled dates with you as soon as possible.”
Drake’s Anita Max Win Tour kicked off earlier this month in Perth, Australia, and was slated to have 16 shows across the country and in New Zealand. The concert was scheduled to have shows on Tuesday, March 4, in Brisbane and on Friday, March 7, in Sydney as well as on Saturday, March 15, and Sunday, March 16, at Auckland’s Spark Arena.
The tour collided with the release of Drake’s latest album, Some Sexy Songs 4 U, a collaboration with PartyNextDoor. The album, which was released on February 14, debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart.
Drake, 38, has continued to make headlines for his ongoing feud with Kendrick Lamar, which came to a head during the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show. In the performance, Lamar, 37, performed his diss track “Not Like Us” — which allegedly accused Drake of pedophilia in lines like, “Say, Drake, I hear you like ’em young” and “Tryna strike a chord and it’s probably A minor.” Drake denied the pedophilia accusations in “The Heart Part 6.”
Before the Super Bowl, reports suggested that Drake sent Lamar a cease-and-desist to stop him from performing “Not Like Us” on football’s biggest night. A rep for Drake, however, denied it, telling Us Weekly in October 2024, “The rumors are completely false.”
One month later, Drake filed a legal complaint claiming that Lamar (and his own) record label, Universal Music Group, conspired with Spotify to artificially inflate the popularity of “Not Like Us.” UMG and Spotify denied the accusations.
While Drake withdrew the complaint, he filed a federal lawsuit against UMG in January and accused the label of defamation and harassment. UMG continued to deny the allegations.
After the halftime show, Drake has seemingly moved on from his beef with Lamar. In the song “Brian Steel,” Drake joked that he’s “vegan now” after an earlier line asked for “all the beef on the side.”
Police sources confirmed to Us Weekly that Michelle Trachtenberg’s cause of death is “not yet apparent.”
News broke on Wednesday, February 26, that Trachtenberg was found unconscious inside her Midtown West Side apartment in New York City. She was 39 years old.
The incident is not believed to be suspicious. Multiple sources told Us that Trachtenberg had a liver transplant before her death, which Page Six and ABC News also reported. (The New York Postwas the first to break the news.)
Trachtenberg got her start as a child star in the 1996 movie Harriet the Spy. She went on to join the cast of Buffy the Vampire Slayer as Sarah Michelle Gellar’s onscreen sister, Dawn, and was a fan-favorite guest star on Gossip Girl as Georgina Sparks.
Years later, Trachtenberg — who also appeared in films 17 Again, Ice Princess — voiced Judy Reilly on Human Kind Of in 2018 before reprising her role as Georgina in 2022 and 2023 episodes of the short-lived revival of Gossip Girl. She also served as an executive producer for 2021’s Meet, Marry, Murder series, which she also hosted.

She continued to fire back at the negative comments in another post. “I’ve received several comments recently about my appearance,” Trachtenberg captioned a selfie at the time. “I have never had plastic surgery I am happy and healthy. Check yourself haters.”
One day later, Trachtenberg addressed the remarks again. “Fun fact. This is my face. Not malnutrition,” she wrote via Instagram. “No problems. Why do you have you hate? Get a calendar.”
Kristen Chenoweth showed her support for Trachtenberg in the comments section, replying, “You’re GORGEOUS.” Another user added, “Aging beautifully.”
Trachtenberg previously was spotted several times walking with a cane, which she later revealed was because of a broken ankle. “Dear 2019. My broken ankle can still kick your ass out the door,” she captioned a photo at the time. “Cuz in 2020, I’m going to be 100% that bitch. .”
Trachtenberg has since been active on social media, sharing a snap of her glammed up one week before her death. “I wanted to look like naughty #tinkerbell #throwback ,” she captioned the Instagram post.

Nearly three decades later, Monica Lewinsky is reflecting on her affair with Bill Clinton — and the aftermath.
“I think what, you know, what we see now in today’s world and as a grown woman — I hate to break it to any 24-year-olds listening to this, because I know from 21 to, like, 25, you think you know everything. You’re like, ‘I’m a f—ing adult now. I know everything.’ I’m so sorry to tell you, you will look back on this time. I feel like, ‘Oh, little 20-year-old me,’” Lewinsky said on the Wednesday, February 26, episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast. “Yeah, no. So you know, I thought it was something it wasn’t, and my feelings were real. And it was very frustrating and painful to have people talking about this in a way that was untrue.”
Lewinsky became a household name in 1998 when her two-year affair with Bill, who is married to Hillary Clinton, was revealed. Bill was impeached by the House of Representatives but was acquitted of all charges in 1999. He remained in office until the end of his second term in 2001.
Years later, Lewinsky is hoping to reclaim her identity. “Even though I will always be defined in some way by my history, I am also defined by my present,” Lewinsky said.

How the Affair Should’ve Been Handled

After news broke of the affair, Bill made a public statement claiming he had no sexual relations with Lewinsky. Looking back, Lewinsky thinks the aftermath should have been handled differently.
“I think that the right way to handle a situation like that would have been to probably say it was nobody’s business and to resign, or to find a way of staying in office that was not lying and not throwing a young person who is just starting out in the world under the bus,” Lewinsky said. “At the same time, I’m hearing myself say that and it’s like, ‘OK, but we’re also talking about the most powerful office in the world.’ I don’t want to be naïve either.”
Following the scandal, Lewinsky made several public apologies — but claimed she did not receive them in return from some involved.
“I have had a handful of people who were involved at the time that I’ve run into in different ways, who have acknowledged that they wish they had made different choices,” Lewinsky said. “None of the people who were, you know, sort of the above-the-fold names involved in the investigation, and I’m really grateful that I’m at a place where I don’t need it anymore.”
When asked whether there was a time she felt like she did need an apology, Lewinsky replied, “Oh, sure.”
“Well, I think that’s, you know, and that this is sort of something I don’t — I don’t know that I fully unpacked it yet for myself,” Lewinsky continued. “I think a lot of times with the writing I do, it’s like I have an idea for something and I sort of plant the seed and just let it, I’m like, ‘OK, some version of me, it’s figuring itself out to worm it its way out onto a page,’ but I think that a lot of that has to do with the intersection of as my life changed, as people saw me more and more as my true self, as I was able to have more agency, that those things became less important because I have been able to, even though I will always be defined in some way by my history, I am also defined by my present and that’s — it’s important.”

Lewinsky had “many” rock-bottom moments after news broke of the affair.
“I guess whatever the layering of, whatever had come out in the news that day, whatever it was, it was just too much,” she said. “And I had remembered thinking, OK, I was able to, the first two weeks of the investigation, I didn’t have a therapist, I couldn’t go on medication. And eventually I was able to get a therapist who had to be a forensic psychologist, who was amazing, Dr. Susan. I’m still grateful to her today. And I remember thinking, ‘OK, I’m going to call her. And if she answers, then I’m staying. And if she doesn’t, I’m out.’ So I think for me, that was rock bottom.”
Navigating her scandal led Lewinsky to become an advocate in cyberbullying prevention. “What I experienced and now why I care so much about anti-bullying with young people, because I understand what this is online and with social media, there is no border,” she said. “It literally feels like the entire world is laughing at you. And it is devastating.”
She Considered Changing Her Name

As she moved forward, Lewinsky admitted she considered altering her name. “There was definitely a period of time that I contemplated it, except, given the world that we lived in, I couldn’t even see a reality of that,” Lewinsky said. “How is that really going to work? I’m going to walk down the street in L.A., where I was raised, and run into someone and they’ll say ‘Monica’ and I’ll [say], ‘Oh, my name is Rebecca now.’”
Lewinsky also contemplated changing her name on her CV but thought she would be recognized if she walked into an interview. As time moved forward, Lewinsky “came to feel very strongly” that she didn’t want to alter her moniker.
“Why should I have to change my name?” Lewinsky said. “I bet nobody has asked Bill, did he ever think about changing his name? OK, I get because he was the most famous person at the moment, and the president, etc. But just even the idea would never cross someone’s mind to a man. I regret a lot of different decisions I’ve made both prior to ’98 and post ’98, I’m a human being. But I’m not ashamed of who I am.”
Lewinsky’s name has now played a role in why she hasn’t dabbled in online dating. “Part of why I haven’t [done] online dating is that whole thing if you don’t want to use your name, you’re starting something out with a lie,” Lewinsky said. “That doesn’t totally feel right to me either.”

While Lewinsky has “always dated,” she hasn’t been completely successful. “I was somebody who had wanted to get married and have kids, and I’m sort of past that point of having kids naturally, so I think that was a focus for a long time, but it was definitely, my dating life has been complicated, I think, at times,” she said.
Lewinsky said she has had a “couple instances” where people haven’t pursued dating for the right reasons, but she’s confident in her “bulls— detector.”
“There’s a wide spectrum of like how intimacy goes after something like this and it’s like, I mean, thankfully, no one’s ever asked me to wear a beret in the bedroom, but I mean, there have been, it’s complicated,” she said. “Look, I think our comfort level, and it might be generational, but I think comfort level of really feeling like you can own your own sexuality fully can be one layer that many of us go through when you add on the way I was sexualized and humiliated around sex. It makes it more complicated.”
Lewinsky, who does not drink but isn’t 100 percent sober, thinks she may have more intimacy if she consumed alcohol. “I joke now, if I was still drinking, I’d probably have a lot more sex,” she said, clarifying she meant “casual sex.”

Alix Earle’s “Hot Mess” podcast has been dropped by Alex Cooper’s Unwell Network, Us Weekly can confirm.

The news comes amid social media speculation of a falling out between Earle, 24, and Cooper, 30 — and sources tell Us that there is some truth to the rumors.
Most recently, Earle, who rose to stardom on TikTok while a student at the University of Miami, was noticeably absent from Unwell Network’s Super Bowl party earlier this month despite being in New Orleans.
Earle and Cooper have yet to address an alleged feud. Us reached out to reps for Earle, Cooper and the Unwell Network.
Cooper launched her Unwell Network in August 2023, initially signing Earle and “Pretty Lonesome” host Madeline Argy in an effort to appeal to Gen Z audiences with “unique voices that embrace social challenges and personal insecurities through honest conversation.” (Cooper has since brought on other names, including “Boyfriend Material” host Harry Jowsey and Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia’s ex-BFF Grace O’Malley to host the “Disgraceful” podcast.)
“We live in a world where we are inundated with content, but The Unwell Network will be the source everyone can go to for unique perspectives exploring what’s top-of-mind today for this generation,” Cooper said in a statement at the time, per Variety.
When announcing Unwell Network, Cooper gushed that Earle and Argy “both have a unique presence that captivates an audience, but I love how they approach content in very different ways… I feel honored to be at a place in my career where I can pass along knowledge and advice for a new generation of creators to flourish.”
The Unwell Network is a subsidiary of Tending, the media company Cooper founded with her now-husband, Matt Kaplan, in 2023. Cooper’s “Call Her Daddy” podcast is also produced under the Unwell Network. (After meeting on a Zoom call in 2020, Cooper and Kaplan got engaged in March 2023 and tied the knot the following year.)
Two months after the launch of Unwell Network, Cooper gushed over Earle in an interview with TIME. “She is a beast,” Cooper said at the TIME 100 event in October 2023, per TikTok. “I think people think that she makes it look easy. That girl has a work ethic that I’ve never seen and I’m just so proud of her. I love any help that I can give her. Bow down to her, she’s amazing.”
“Jesus was more than my friend — he was a light in my life, a source of laughter, comfort, love, and unwavering support. I don’t know how I would have made it through the last almost decade without him by my side. He had a way of making even the heaviest days feel lighter,” Jenner, 27, wrote via Instagram on Tuesday, February 25.
She continued, “Thank you, Jesus, for always being there for me, for lifting me up, for being my friend. The pain of losing you is just unbearable and i don’t know how to move forward without you but I know great grief is born only of great love. and I loved you so much. Alongside her post, Jenner shared a photo of the twosome smiling. “Your words, your laughter, your kindness, your beautiful spirit will live in my heart forever. I’ll cherish all our moments together. every laugh and hug. I wish I could hug you again,” she concluded. “I laid in your bed the way you used to lay in mine, talking for hours. News broke on Saturday, February 22, that Guerrero had died, with confirmation coming via a GoFundMe page set up by his sister Gris. His cause of death was not shared via the page.
Days after his death, People reported that the Kardashians star will be paying for Guerrero’s funeral expenses. “As upset as she feels, she knows it’s so much worse for his family,” a source told the outlet. “She doesn’t want them to stress about money. She’s taking care of expenses, including those associated with his funeral.”

Guerrero worked as a stylist for A-listers including Jenner, Jennifer Lopez and Katy Perry. One day before Jenner’s post, sister Kim Kardashianmourned Guerrero’s loss in her own social media upload.

Khloé Kardashian later reposted the tribute and added, “I couldn’t find the words this weekend, but this is exactly how we all feel. We become a family with our glam teams, and we share so much of our lives with them.”
“[Coparenting] is definitely doable,” Chigvintsev, 42, said on the Tuesday, February 25, episode of the “Glamorous Grind” podcast. “Obviously, both parties put the best foot forward [to] accommodate the kid. [At] the end of the day, what’s best for Matteo is best for me, right?”
News broke in August 2024 that Chigvintsev was arrested following an alleged incident with Garcia, 41. Us Weekly confirmed the next month that the domestic violence charges against Chigvintsev were dropped by the Napa County District Attorney after an investigation.
One week after his arrest, Chigvintsev and Garcia filed for divorce. While she requested full custody over their 4-year-old son, Matteo, Chigvintsev sought joint custody. Chigvintsev and Garcia both filed restraining orders against each other, which were dropped when they reached a divorce settlement in November 2024.
“It’s tough sometimes because you have to negotiate certain things, you have to be willing to sacrifice certain things, but at the same time, if you take your own ego out of it, you really have to think of what is best for him, not necessarily what you think would be best for him,” Chigvintsev explained. “I think that’s the fine line, because we all base decision[s] like — right now speaking of myself personally — base decision like what do I think is best for him, by purely thinking like how I would want it, right? But you have to kind of, like, take yourself out of that and think [of] what actually he needs.”
When asked whether he and Garcia could be friends, Chigvintsev replied, “I mean never, say never. But there’s definitely needed to be certain conversation and certain things, acknowledgement of certain things. Yeah, I believe everybody can end up being friends.”

As for what needs to be discussed, Chigvintsev thinks the pair need to hash out their differences — and hear each other.
“When I say hearing each other is not just say, like, ‘Oh, I heard you.’ Truly hearing and trying to understand why that is that, and actually try to feel like, ‘Oh, that’s OK.’ I think the hard part because we live in such a different culture, everybody grown up different, everybody raised different, everybody have different values and I think that separates us in a lot of ways. And we forgot to kind of, I don’t know, understand each other.”
While Chigvintsev did not return for Dancing With the Starsseason 33, the pro dancer said he “would love” to be back for another season.
Now, as Chigvintsev moves forward, said he just wants to be “happy.” As for his current state of mind, Chigvintsev said, “I’m happy that I have my son, I’m happy that my mom is here, I’m happy that I’d be able to see that relationship, able to see that relationship. I’m happy that I’m still OK, I’m happy about that. But am I happy overall and like looking forward? Like no, because it’s just a whole bunch of unknown and unknown is not make you happy.”

With Fuller, Grippo, 31, gushed that the pair “had fun together,” but ultimately it wasn’t meant to be. “It just didn’t work out between us and it was a mutual decision,” Grippo said on the Tuesday, February 25, episode of the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast. “She’s great, but, at the end of the day, it just didn’t work out. We just had to go our separate ways.”
Grippo revealed his split from Fuller in April 2024 after nearly two years of dating. (The twosome met after appearing on separate seasons of The Bachelor/Bachelorette.) He admitted on Tuesday that the pair “for sure” had discussions about marriage. “Especially at this day and age, like I want to date with intention and that relationship, we really tried,” he said. “We really gave it our best shot.”
Now, Grippo said he and Fuller are on good terms. “We don’t talk or anything, but we wish the best for each other. I know that she wishes the best for me as well, and I wish the best for her,” Grippo said, before noting that he wouldn’t be jealous if he saw Fuller with another man. (She was linked to quarterbackWill Levis last year.)

Years before he dated Fuller, Bachelor Nation met Grippo when he vied for the affections of Thurston, 34, on season 17 of The Bachelorette in 2021. After Grippo dropped the L-bomb, he began doubting their connection when Thurston didn’t say it back — and ultimately quit the series.
“I remember getting on the plane like an hour after — because I got flown out, I didn’t even have any time to, like, process or think and I went on literally, like, the next flight out — I remember being in the airport being like, ‘Holy s—t, like, did I just really like messed this up?’” Grippo recalled. “I was trying to be like, ‘Hey, like can you guys contact me if anything? Would love to maybe speak with her.’ And I just, I mean, I didn’t hear back.”
Following a tense After the Final rose reunion — which Grippo said felt like “the Hunger Games” —Thurston and Grippo put their differences aside via social media. (Thurston accepted a proposal from Blake Moynes in the season finale, but the twosome split months later. She has since moved on with Jeff Arcuri, whom she got engaged to in August 2024.)
“We, like, hashed it out over, like, a DM,” Grippo said. “I want to say, like, a month after [AFR] and we squashed it.”
Now, as Grippo navigates the dating scene, he hasn’t ruled out the possibility of finding The One within Bachelor Nation. “If the right one was around,” Grippo quipped.
When asked whether he would be open to being the Bachelor to find her, Grippo said that would be “interesting.” He added, “I mean, I think that if I were to do something like that, I would like it to be announced earlier just so people could know who they’re going on for. I wouldn’t want to be a surprise to anyone and I would want to have people genuinely there for me.”
