Alec Baldwin's Wife Hilaria Didn’t Understand Prenups — But Still Signed It

Hilaria Baldwin didn’t fully grasp what a prenup was before signing one with husband Alec Baldwin.
“After my first marriage I said, ‘Let’s have a prenup,'” Alec, 66, who was married to Kim Basinger from 1993 to 2002, recalled during the first episode of TLC’s reality series The Baldwins on Sunday, February 23.
Hilaria, 41, recalled not entirely understanding the concept at the time.
“I just don’t understand quite what a prenup is. Because you are like, ‘After a certain number of kids it is this.’ And I was like, ‘You know what? I will just sign it,'” she noted. “Which was probably very stupid of me back then.”
Alec Baldwin Says Life Changed in a 'Big Way' When He Met Hilaria
Hilaria continued: “Now, I would read it again. I just said, ‘I won’t sign it. I don’t really want to think about the end by the beginning.’ And then you were like, ‘I don’t want to do it either.'”
The Baldwins offered an unfiltered look at Alec and Hilaria’s dynamic more than a decade after they tied the knot. In addition to Alec and Hilaria, the TLC series stars their seven kids: Carmen Gabriela, 11, Rafael Thomas, 9, Leonardo Ángel Charles, 8, Romeo Alejandro David, 6, Eduardo “Edu” Pao Lucas, María Lucía Victoria, 4, and Ilaria Catalina Irena, 2. Alec also shares daughter Ireland, 29, with his Basinger, 71.
While the reality show might come as a surprise to some, a source previously told Us Weekly that the pair were considering a way to document their hectic lives.
“Alec and Hilaria may be pitching reality show ideas soon,” the insider said in November 2023 about how Alec and Hilaria would only move forward with a series if it were “the right fit that would authentically show who they are as a family.”
The plan was to have a show that felt authentic to the Baldwins.
Celebrity Couples Who Got Married With a Prenup — and the Ones Who Didn’t
“They genuinely love spending time together so it would have to be something that shows their personalities, everyday laughter and adventures. It would have to be something very real and show how they spend their time together,” the insider added. “Alec’s favorite thing is spending time with Hilaria and their kids, and anyone who’s around them knows they just love being together. They love the idea of a show where they can show people who they are and what matters most to them.”
That same month, Alec discussed how being a father changed his priorities. “With me, everything’s about my family,” he shared on Kelly Ripa’s “Let’s Talk Off Camera” podcast. “Once we had five and then six and then seven kids, I can’t go anywhere for any length of time.”
Alec discussed how traveling for work has become difficult because he would need “12 plane tickets” to accommodate his family. “Nannies, kids, my wife, I need, like, 11 [tickets],” he said. “They don’t even have 11 seats in the business class section of the plane.”
The Baldwins airs on TLC Sundays at 10 p.m. ET.
'A Complete Unknown' Cast Celebrates Major Surprise Win at 2025 SAG Awards

The cast of A Complete Unknown received a major win at the 2025 SAG Awards just one week before the 2025 Oscars.
The cast of the Bob Dylan biopic came together at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 23, to celebrate the film’s success. All eyes were on Timothée Chalamet as he was hoping to win big in the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role category thanks to his transformation into Dylan, 83.
At the live awards ceremony, Chalamet, 29, went up against The Brutalist’s Adrien Brody, Queer’s Daniel Craig, Sing Sing’s Colman Domingo and Conclave’s Ralph Fiennes. In a surprise turn of events, he received the award from his peers and nobody was more excited than his costars.
“The truth is, I’m really in pursuit of greatness,” Chalamet shared during his acceptance speech. “I know people don’t usually talk like that. I want to be one of the greats. I’m inspired by the greats. I’m inspired by the greats here too tonight.”

The cast also celebrated Edward Norton’s nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role thanks to his portrayal of singer Pete Seeger. In addition, actress Monica Barbaro received recognition in the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role category for her take on singer Joan Baez.
Unfortunately, Norton lost to A Real Pain‘s Kieran Culkin while Barbaro lost to Emilia Pérez‘s Zoe Saldaña.

Perhaps the greatest honor of the night was A Complete Unknown receiving a nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, where they were up against Anora, Conclave, Emilia Pérez and Wicked. While Conclave ended up being the big winner, director James Mangold remains proud of the film he made.
“We worked together on this movie for almost six years,”Mangold told Variety in an interview published February 14. “We got ready to shoot it three times — knocked down by COVID and industry strikes. And yet, that time between meeting and finishing it proved to be such a blessing.”
Before awards season officially kicked off in January, Dylan weighed in on A Complete Unknown. In a social media post, the legendary musician expressed support for the project.

“There’s a movie about me opening soon called A Complete Unknown (what a title!). Timothee Chalamet is starring in the lead role,” Dylan wrote via X in December 2024 “Timmy’s a brilliant actor so I’m sure he’s going to be completely believable as me. Or a younger me. Or some other me.”
Timothee Chalamet Reveals He Gained 20 Lbs to Play Bob Dylan
While it’s unclear if Dylan has seen the film, his acknowledgement meant the world to Chalamet, who replied to the post by writing, “Floored. I am so grateful. Thank you Bob.”
With excitement already building for the 2025 Oscars — where A Complete Unknown could walk away with several more trophies including Best Picture and Best Director— Mangold, 61, said he is filled with gratitude as he looks forward to what is ahead.
“I adore making movies,” he said. “And I’m just looking forward to the next one.”
Timothee Chalamet Admits He 'Wants to Be the Greatest' in SAG Awards Speech

Timothée Chalamet became the youngest person to win best male actor for a leading role at the 2025 SAG Awards — and his bold speech made it clear he is just getting started.
“I was not expecting this at all, truly,” Chalamet, 29, said after winning for his performance as Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown. “I know the classiest thing would be to downplay the effort that went into this role and how much this means to me, but the truth is this was five and a half years of my life.”
Chalamet reflected on his commitment to the role, adding, “I poured everything I had into playing this incomparable artist. Mr. Bob Dylan. A true American hero. It was the honor of a lifetime playing him.
The actor, who thanked his mother and his fellow cast members, went on to address the hopes he had for his career.
2025 SAG Awards Red Carpet Fashion: Selena Gomez, Elle Fanning, More
“Lastly, I can’t downplay the significance of this award because it means the most to me. I know we’re in a subjective business,” Chalamet continued. “The truth is, I’m really in pursuit of greatness. I know people don’t usually talk like that. But, I want to be one of the greats. I’m inspired by the greats. I’m inspired by the greats here tonight.”

Chalamet mentioned several people whose performances touched him as an actor. “I’m as inspired by Daniel Day Lewis, Marlon Brando and Viola Davis as I am by Michael Jordan and Michael Phelps,” he concluded. “And I wanna be up there. I’m deeply grateful for that. This doesn’t signify that but it’s a little more fuel, a little more ammo to keep going.”
Chalamet beat out The Brutalist’s Adrien Brody, Queer’s Daniel Craig, Sing Sing’s Colman Domingo and Conclave’s Ralph Fiennes for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role. He and his costars were also up against the actors from Anora, Conclave, Emilia Pérez and Wicked for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, which ultimately went to Conclave.
A Complete Unknown, which was released in December 2024, depicted Dylan, 83, from the beginning of his career in 1960s New York to his famous electric guitar performance of “Like a Rolling Stone” at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival.
Rami! J. Law! Kerry! How Stars Earned Their SAG Cards
Dylan weighed in on Chalamet’s performance, writing via X that same month, “There’s a movie about me opening soon called A Complete Unknown (what a title!). Timothee Chalamet is starring in the lead role. Timmy’s a brilliant actor so I’m sure he’s going to be completely believable as me. Or a younger me. Or some other me.”

He added: “The film’s taken from Elijah Wald’s Dylan Goes Electric – a book that came out in 2015. It’s a fantastic retelling of events from the early ‘60s that led up to the fiasco at Newport. After you’ve seen the movie read the book.”
Chalamet replied to the tweet by writing, “Floored. I am so grateful. Thank you Bob.”
Demi Moore Gets Emotional Winning Her 1st SAG Award for Best Actress
Demi Moore has been a member of the SAG-AFTRA union for more than four decades. Now, she’s officially a SAG Award winner, taking home the 2025 statue for best actress on Sunday, February 23.
“When I got my membership to this incredible organization, it was in 1978. I was 15, almost 16, and it changed by life because it gave me meaning, it gave me purpose and it gave me direction,” Moore, 62, said from the stage of the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles while wearing a custom black Bottega Veneta gown with Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany jewelry and Christian Louboutin shoes.
“Because I was a kid on my own who had no blueprint for life. And I certainly knew nothing about acting, but I watched and listened and I learned from all of you,” she continued. “You have all been my greatest teachers, and I am so, so grateful that I have continued over these so many years to be able to try, and sometimes succeed and sometimes fail, but to be able to keep going. And I could not do that without the support of my incredible team, the people who stood behind me.”
Moore won Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for her work in The Substance as Elizabeth Sparkle, an older actress who injects herself with a mysterious de-aging serum in the body horror movie. She was nominated against The Last Showgirl‘s Pamela Anderson, Wicked‘s Cynthia Erivo, Emilia Pérez’s Karla Sofía Gascón and Anora’s Mikey Madison.
2025 SAG Awards Red Carpet Fashion: Selena Gomez, Elle Fanning, More
It was Moore’s first time being nominated at the SAG Awards in the Best Actress category. She was previously nominated in 2007 with the stars of Bobby in a different category, Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.
This has been a big awards season for Moore. In January, she won the Golden Globe for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy.

“I’ve been doing this a long time, like, over 45 years, and this is the first time I’ve ever won anything as an actor,” the actress told the Golden Globes audience. “And I’m just so humbled and so grateful. Thirty years ago I had a producer tell me that I was a ‘popcorn actress,’ and at that time I made that mean that this wasn’t something that I was allowed to have. … I bought in and I believed that. And that corroded me over time to the point where, a few years ago, I thought that maybe that was it. That I’d done what I was supposed to do.”
Demi Moore Shares Shocking Nude Prosthetic Photos From ‘The Substance’
She added, “I was at kind of a low point, [and] I had this magical, bold, courageous, out-of-the-box absolutely bonkers script come across my desk called The Substance. And the universe told me, ‘You’re not done.’”
During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! one month after her Golden Globes win, Moore explained how she was able to move past the unnamed man’s “popcorn actress” dig.

“What somebody else does or doesn’t do is irrelevant. How you hold it is everything,” she shared. “And while I may have taken [the insult] as he intended it, it’s what I made it mean about me. It’s that I made it mean that somehow I wasn’t ever going to be somebody that could be acknowledged in that kind of arena or platform, that I couldn’t win awards … But he didn’t do that. He just said the words. So that’s the difference.”
Moore added: “In our current times, and in reframing how I look at being a ‘popcorn actress,’ how fortunate do I feel that I am in a movie that not only is a popcorn movie, that’s got people into the theaters to have a communal experience, but it’s also getting critical acclaim? So, two things are possible at the same time!”
Moore is nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the upcoming 97th annual Oscars, set to take place on Sunday, March 2.

Who Skipped the 2025 SAG Awards? Martin Short and More

The 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards was full of Hollywood A-listers, but some were noticeably absent.
When Joey King and Jack Quaid called out Martin Short’s name when announcing the winner of Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series, the duo began looking for the Only Murders in the Building star in the crowd.
“Well, well, well, I don’t see … Oh, there’s the teleprompter. Martin Short could not be here tonight,” King read during the Sunday, February 23, awards show held at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles. “We accept this award on his behalf.”
While the cast of Only Murders in the Building accepted the award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, Steve Martin also appeared to be absent.
“Marty and Steve aren’t here because, you know, they don’t really care,” costar Selena Gomez quipped during her acceptance speech, while costar Richard Kind joked, “Remember to thank Marty and Steve.” Gomez added, “Oh and thank you to Marty and Steve for helping raise me.”
Days before the awards show, Martin revealed that Short contracted COVID-19 after appearing in the Saturday Night Live 50th Anniversary Special.
“Maya [Rudolph] came down with Covid, (she did NOT come to the show with it!) Marty came down with it,” Martin wrote via Instagram, alongside a snap of Rudolph and Short kissing. “The SNL 50th Covid curse is real. Unfortunately, we have to reschedule this weekend’s sold out Durham and Knoxville dates to 10/17 Knoxville and 10/18 Durham. So sorry for the inconvenience. I think we’ll be funnier then, anyway.”

'Wicked' Has a Disappointing 2025 SAG Awards With O Wins

Wins or no wins, the cast of Wicked were feeling as wonderful as the Wizard of Oz himself at the 2025 SAG Awards.
Most of the principal stars of the movie musical adaptation stepped out to celebrate the film’s success at Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall red carpet in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 23. Wicked led this year’s film nominations with a total of five, including Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture and Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture.
Cynthia Erivo scored a nod for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for her role as Elphaba, while her costar Ariana Grande was up for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for her role as Glinda. Jonathan Bailey, who played Fiyero, rounded out the cast’s nominations in the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role category.
While many of the cast and director Jon M. Chu celebrated the film during Sunday’s ceremony, Wicked ultimately ended the night with a total of zero wins. The film lost Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture to the cast of Conclave Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture to The Fall Guy. Erivo, Grande and Bailey — the latter of whom did not attend — lost in their acting categories to the likes of Demi Moore, Zoe Saldaña and Kieran Culkin, respectively.

Wicked, which hit theaters in November 2024, is an adaptation of the long-running 2003 Broadway musical; the show itself was based on the 1995 book of the same name by Gregory Maguire, which serves as an imagined prequel to L. Frank Baum‘s The Wizard of Oz and the classic 1939 film.
Wicked tells the backstory of green-skinned Elphaba, the future Wicked Witch of the West, and Galinda, the future Glinda the Good Witch, during their time as students at Shiz University. After starting as rival roommates, the two turn into unlikely friends as Elphaba’s magical abilities catch the attention of The Wizard of Oz (Jeff Goldblum).
While Wicked follows the events of the stage show’s first act, the upcoming sequel, Wicked: For Good, will follow Act 2. Like the original show, the story is expected to pick up with Elphaba helping the persecuted animals of Oz in secret after fleeing the Emerald City. Glinda, meanwhile, finds herself on the opposing side of her best friend as she becomes a figurehead for The Wizard.

“Wicked 2 is definitely a lot darker in a lot of ways,” Marissa Bode, who plays Elphaba’s younger sister, Nessarose, exclusively told Us Weekly earlier this year. “So, I’m excited for that aspect of it.”
She added, “There’s a time jump for sure, and I’m excited to see visually – because I haven’t really seen any of the footage yet – how the characters have changed for good or maybe not for good.”
Erivo, 38, previously defended splitting Wicked into two parts for the big screen. “What’s wonderful about the show is that you get an insight into why this woman becomes the Wicked Witch of the West, but you have only three hours to do it in. With us, you have two movies,” she told Entertainment Weekly in February 2024. “In this first movie, you get to really get to know [Elphaba] as a young lady and what pushes her to the thing that we get to know. The story gets to be opened. You really get to experience magic, and we can do that.”
'Wicked: For Good': Everything to Know About Part 2 of the Movie Musical
Erivo also said doing two movies instead of one allowed for Elphaba and Glinda’s relationship to be explored more than it is on Broadway. “We’ve expanded on their relationship as friends. That’s a really important special thing that you have in the show, but here you really get to go with them in that,” she explained. “We’ve got something really special.”
Wicked will begin streaming on Peacock Friday, March 21. Wicked: For Good hits theaters on Friday, November 21.
'Suits LA' Has Some Major Similarities to 'Suits': A Complete Breakdown

Suits and Suits LA might have the same premise, but they are drastically different shows at their core. That being said, there are some similarities between the two.
The spinoff series — which premiered on Sunday, February 23 — introduced fans to Stephen Amell’s Ted Black, a hotshot lawyer who has his own firm in Los Angeles and, apparently, some secrets that have yet to be revealed.
Bryan Greenberg also stars as Rick Dodsen, who appears to be Amell’s right-hand man at first glance. However, a little deeper into the premiere, a (spoiler alert) betrayal reveals that Lex Scott Davis, playing the role of Erica Rollins, is No. 2 in the firm.
Sunday’s episode also revealed that, before relocating to L.A., Amell’s character had a law career in New York City. This, coincidentally, is where one major Suits connection comes in, by the name of Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht).
‘Suits LA’ Trailer Teases Return of Harvey Specter
“You’ll notice behind my desk that there’s a picture of a young Ted Black with what can only be a young Harvey Specter so there’s clearly a history between the characters,” Amell teased to Entertainment Weekly in December 2024. “We came up together in the D.A.’s office.”

While Macht isn’t reprising his role as Harvey just yet, there’s something to look forward to. In the meantime, keep scrolling for a breakdown of similarities between Suits and Suits LA:
Is There a Mike and Harvey Situation?
The original Suits had Patrick J. Adams and Macht starring as Mike and Harvey, respectively. They created a powerhouse legal team (even though one wasn’t really a lawyer, which isn’t quite relevant here.)
Initially, Suits LA seems like it’s gearing up to make Amell’s Ted and Greenberg’s Rick take over in the male dynamic duo department. However, after said aforementioned betrayal, the coworker relationship to watch out for is clearly between Ted and Davis’ Erica. She even alluded to it in the episode by saying that she’s picking Ted’s side “seven days a week and twice on Sunday.”
Donna Is There in Spirit
No character in TV history will ever, repeat: ever, replace Sarah Rafferty’s spitfire secretary character of Donna Paulsen from the original Suits. However, Azita Ghanizada does come in at a close second as Ted’s secretary, Roslyn.
While not many details about Roslyn were shared in the premiere, it seems she’s been around for a while, especially when she alludes to having knowledge of Ted’s family drama.
The Sports References
It’s no secret to Suits viewers that Harvey has basketballs signed by NBA players in his office. While it doesn’t seem like Ted has any sports memorabilia in his office, the character does appear to have an affinity for the New York Yankees.
A Guide to the Most Star-Studded Celeb Appearances on NBC's 'Suits LA'
Not to mention, there’s also that Patrick Mahomes reference in the premiere. (“It’s the fourth quarter and you need a touchdown. You go with Kirk Cousins or Patrick Mahomes, who’s it gonna be?”)
A Past Love Interest — Who Seems to Keep Coming Back
It’s apparent early on in the premiere that Rachelle Goulding would be making multiple appearances as Ted’s past love interest Samantha. While it’s unclear what went down between them (something major, it seems) there should be more scenes of them together in the coming episodes.
When it comes to past love interests who keep coming back, the obvious comparison is Abigail Spencer, who made several appearances as Dana Scott in the original Suits.
So Many Family Issues
Ted’s dad is dying in the premiere, but he’s having none of it. He does go visit his ailing father (Matt Letscher), but there’s no warm and fuzzy reunion.
There are still a lot of questions to be answered, of course, but it seems a lot of their tension stems from the relationship Ted’s father had with his late son (Ted’s older brother), Eddie (Carson A. Egan). Not to mention, Ted drops that his dad was “convicted,” so it seems like he wasn’t around too much.
Similarly, in the original Suits, Harvey had some family issues that needed tons of unpacking as well. But Harvey and his brother Marcus (Billy Miller) were the ones at odds.
Stephen Amell References Patrick Mahomes' in 'Suits LA' Premiere: Recap

This is the world of Suits, of course there was a sports joke — and yes, Us is sharing Suits LA premiere episode spoilers.
The first episode of Suits LA aired on Sunday, February 23, and introduced fans to the world of Los Angeles and their most ruthless lawyers with Stephen Amell starring as Ted Black — who gets betrayed by his firm’s cofounder, Stuart Lane (Josh McDermitt), within the first 19 minutes.
But let’s back up a bit. Before Stuart betrays Ted, he takes on Lester Thompson’s (Kevin Weisman) murder case — much to Lester’s chagrin. Ted convinces Lester that Stuart is “the best defense attorney in Los Angeles” and the subject is dropped. (Remember, this was before Stuart’s betrayal, so the subject does come up again.)
Once it’s revealed that Stuart decided to merge with Ted’s ex-girlfriend Samantha’s (Rachelle Goulding) firm solo, the topic of Lester gets brought up again. This time, Ted is convincing Lester to take him on as his lawyer for the murder trial.
“There is nothing in this world Stuart Lane is better at than me. Lester, he doesn’t believe you. I do,” Ted said. “It’s the fourth quarter and you need a touchdown. You can go with Kirk Cousins or Patrick Mahomes, who’s it gonna be.”
How Is Stephen Amell's 'Suits LA' Character Connected to Harvey Specter?
Obviously, Lester goes with Ted.

While the show is definitely different from the original Suits, there are some notable similarities, sports being one of them. The OG show’s Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) was a huge NBA fan with signed basketballs from various athletes in his office. Aside from the NFL reference made by Ted, it seems he loves the New York Yankees — and that seems like it will play a part as the show continues.
It’s revealed that Ted went to a Yankees game with his father (Matt Letscher) and younger brother Eddie (Carson A. Egan) as a kid. From the sound of it, their dad didn’t have the best relationship with Eddie, which makes Ted resent him. (There’s definitely more to this story.)
A Guide to the Most Star-Studded Celeb Appearances on NBC's 'Suits LA'
Oh, did we mention that Ted speaks to his brother — who is in a Yankees shirt throughout the episode — before it’s revealed that Eddie is actually dead. This is revealed in a rather tense moment between Ted and his father, who is on his death bed.

“After you got convicted, you told me that on your last night of freedom, all you wanted to do was spend it with me,” Ted said. “But when that day came, you let them kill Eddie. My sweet beautiful brother who never hurt a soul in his life. You said you did it to protect me but you didn’t even show up at his funeral. He was your son.”
New episodes of Suits LA premiere Sundays at 9 p.m. ET.
Ariana! Mille! Kerry! Pink Won the Red Carpet at the 2025 SAG Awards
Pink ruled the red carpet at the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Ariana Grande, Kerry Washington and Jane Fonda are only a few of the stars who opted for rosy looks at the awards show, which took place on Sunday, February 23, at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles.
Take Grande, who wore a custom Loewe dress featuring a delicate strapless neckline and pleated sleeves that fell over her shoulders. The pièce de résistance was the 3D florals that covered the bodice and scattered throughout her flowy skirt.
Another star who wowed in the color was Washington, who slayed in a sheer beaded Armani Privé look. The dress showed off her curves with a see-through top that fell into a shimmery skirt with a beaded overlay.

David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson Reignite 'X Files' Chemistry at SAG Awards

The 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards proved to be the perfect place for Mulder and Scully’s next team-up.
Former The X Files costars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson jointly appeared at the awards show on Sunday, February 23, to present the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
“Ensemble, I believe that’s a French word that means, ‘Thank God, I only have to work three days a week,’” Duchovny, 64, teased to start their joint presentation. The actor then turned to his longtime friend and former costar, saying, “Nice to see you Gillian you look …”
Anderson, 56, finished his thought, saying, “Younger than you last saw me when we shot 218 episodes?” Duchovny nodded his head, “Yes, that’s exactly right.”
2025 SAG Awards Red Carpet Fashion: Selena Gomez, Elle Fanning, More
The twosome — who previously played partners and special agents Mulder and Scully — proceeded to ponder the meaning of a “great drama,” hilariously coming up with two very different answers.
“It is … timing,” Duchovny declared, but Anderson didn’t agree. “Chemistry,” she answered before teasing, “We still got it.”
Anderson joked, “Hilarious! It was so good. We did that so well.” The actors eventually handed the trophy to the cast of Shōgun, who had already won a few awards earlier in the evening.

Ahead of Sunday’s ceremony, Duchovny teased what it would be like to share the stage with Anderson again.
We’re going to present an award. It feels good, [but] I’d rather get an award than present one, but it’s nice,” Duchovny joked to TooFab on Saturday, February 22. “I’m sure there will be more chatter after Sunday.”
The X Files originally aired from 1993 to 2002 and followed two FBI special agents named Mulder and Scully as they investigated previously unexplained cases dubbed “The X Files.” Duchovny and Anderson later reunited for a two-season revival that aired from 2018 to 2018.
Why Gillian Anderson Kissed ‘X-Files’ Costar David Duchovny at 1997 Emmys
During the show’s 11-season run, Duchovny and Anderson received six individual SAG nominations. Anderson, for her part, took home the trophy for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series in 1996 and 1997, respectively.
Working on X Files also sparked a decades-spanning friendship between the two actors.
“Obviously, we know each other very deeply and yet we don’t know each other either in some weird way,” Duchovny recalled on a November 2024 episode of his “Fail Better” podcast. “Even if it’s just biographical, I don’t know that we ever sat down and said, ‘Hey, what was your childhood like?’”
OITNB's Natasha Lyonne and Danielle Brooks Reunite With a Red Carpet Hug
According to Duchovny, he often found it difficult to articulate his feelings.
“I guess I would talk about my failure of friendship or my failure of companionship or just costarring-ness,” he explained at the time. “There was a long time working on the show where we were just not even dealing with one another off camera. And there was a lot of tension, which didn’t matter apparently for the work because we’re both f—ing crazy, I guess. We can just go out there and do what we needed to do.”
Anderson, meanwhile, revealed during the 2024 podcast reunion that they barely communicated between X Files takes.
“It’s crazy that we were able to present on camera the various feelings and emotions and attraction and all that kind of stuff, but then not speak to each other for weeks at a time,” Anderson recalled. “I know that any time that I tried to express myself … the standing up for myself almost felt worse than keeping it inside.”
How Heavy Is the 2025 SAG Awards Trophy?

Turns out winning a SAG Award doubles as an upper body workout.
Triumphant actors at the awards show on Sunday, February 23, couldn’t stop commenting on how heavy their trophies were during their acceptance speeches.
“Thank you SAG-AFTRA for this incredibly heavy award,” Kieran Culkin said upon accepting his trophy for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in A Real Pain. “I don’t think there’s any way anyone can hold this for 45 seconds.”
Shōgun actors Anna Sawai and Hiroyuki Sanada agreed with Culkin during their respective acceptance speeches for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor and Male Actor in a Drama Series.

“It is very heavy!” Sawai, 32, exclaimed right before she exited the stage with her award.

When Sanada, 64, was first handed his award, he pretended he was going to drop it due to its weight.
Colin Farrell concurred.
“Jesus, Kieran was right!” he exclaimed while accepting his award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Miniseries or Television movie for his performance in The Penguin.
Everything to Know About the 2025 SAG Awards
Well, just how heavy is that trophy?!
According to SAG, the statuette, a nude male figure holding both a mask of comedy and tragedy called “The Actor,” weighs in at over 12 pounds. At 16 inches tall, the trophy is solid bronze and produced by the American Fine Arts Foundry, where 10 craftspeople use heat and cupric acid to give the statuettes their green patina each year.

In contrast, the Oscar statuette given at the Academy Awards weighs in at eight and a half pounds, an Emmy weighs just over six pounds and a Golden Globe weighs just under eight pounds.
The Guild reports that it takes three to four months for the artists to create all of the SAG statuettes each year and 1,233 individually numbered Actor statuettes have been awarded since the inaugural show in 1995.
The SAG Awards honor outstanding performances in both film and television, and this year, films like Emilia Pérez, Anora, Wicked and A Complete Unknown led the way, while Shōgun, The Penguin, The Diplomat, Nobody Wants This and Baby Reindeer led the TV categories.
Hulu's 'Only Murders in the Building' Wins All Nominations at SAG Awards

Only Murders in the Building won every category they were nominated for at the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards.
The hit Hulu series walked away with two trophies on Sunday, February 23, after Martin Short‘s win for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series and a win in the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series category.
The Hulu series, which debuted in 2021, follows three unlikely friends — played by Selena Gomez, Steve Martin and Short, 74 — who form a friendship over their love of true crime. The group ends up solving various murder mysteries connected to their New York City apartment building, the Arconia, which has led to many celebrity cameos over the years.
Season 4 introduced the residents of the other side of the Arconia, a.k.a. the Westies, who were played by guest stars including Richard Kind and Kumail Nanjiani, the latter of whom praised the main cast for creating a friendly environment for newcomers.

“It is truly a no-hazing set. It is absolutely and completely supportive, generous and kind,” Nanjiani, 46, exclusively told Us Weekly in November 2024. “It’s just a very, very joyful set.”
Nanjiani credited the executive producers — and stars — of the show for the positivity, adding, “What we get to do should be joyful. It’s hard work, but that doesn’t mean there shouldn’t be joy with it. And [they] really understand that. [Steve and Martin] have been doing it so long, I’m sure they’ve been on all kinds of sets and they’ve decided if they are on a set, everyone is going to feel safe and joyful. And that’s what they do.”

The fourth season finale, which aired in October 2024, had Mabel (Gomez), Oliver (Short) and Charles (Martin) solve the murder of Sazz (Jane Lynch). There wasn’t much time for them to celebrate, though, because hours later, Oliver was exchanging vows with Loretta (Meryl Streep) while Mabel and Charles were approached by a woman (Téa Leoni) who came into the building asking the trio to help her find her missing husband. They said no, and by the next morning, Lester (Teddy Coluca) was the next victim at the Arconia.
“It’s always one of those strange experiences with the finales of our seasons because we always have to start there first in many ways before we even begin episode 1. And we walk through all of the details and lay down everything that actually, in truth, happened,” creator John Hoffman told Decider in October 2024. “And then we back our way, twisting our way to the front of the season in many ways with that mystery story. So a lot of it is just a burst of truth at the end in funny ways and then crafting around that, you know, ways in which we haven’t done before, hopefully.”

Hoffman also weighed in on the chances of another star-studded season, telling The Hollywood Reporter, “First of all, I’m still a SAG member, and so I want all of the best actors to be working for us, whether they’re brand-name faces or not. If I find a part that feels really right and fun for someone incredible that we get the chance to work with, who wants to do the show, then that’s a gift. So more will come.”
He added: “But I think this season, particularly season 4 was all, again, built around TV and Hollywood, so it was its own cavalcade of stars. That’s where I went this season, but it might not look exactly the same next season. But still, I hope we can land some beauties.”
'The Bear' Gets Shut Out at 2025 SAG Awards

The Bear walked away with zero wins at the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards.
The hit series was nominated in three categories on Sunday, February 23, including Jeremy Allen White for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series and Liza Colón-Zayas and Ayo Edebiri for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series. The entire cast also received a nomination for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.
After debuting in 2022, The Bear has explored the food industry through the lens of a talented chef named Carmy (White), who returned to Chicago shortly after his older brother Mikey’s (Jon Bernthal) death to take over their family sandwich shop, The Beef. After closing the local spot, Carmy and the employees reinvented the restaurant into The Bear, which found success and failure in the most recent season.
While a fourth season hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, The Bear has had Us talking — especially when it comes to the highly debated idea of Carmy and Sydney exploring a romance. Some fans have shown their support for the fictional couple while several cast members remain divided on whether the platonic partners should turn their connection into something more.

“They got a lot of trauma on both sides. Like, if even that [was explored] — I don’t think that window is open,” Edebiri exclusively told Us Weekly in January 2023. “But if it were, there would need to be, like, two seasons where it’s just them doing therapy individually before that would even be an option.”

Edebiri clarified that she and White didn’t initially plan to explore their characters as a couple. “I think when we were making it, neither of us were thinking about that,” she added at the time. “It did feel really nice to get to do something that felt different. There aren’t that many platonic male [and] female relationships.”

Creator Christopher Storer also weighed in on the show’s decision to zero in on the coworkers. “We wanted to make something that was about friendship and a partnership,” he told Variety that same month. “It really is so funny that that is one of the things that people took away — of all the heavy s–t that’s going on in the show! It was interesting because Ayo and Jeremy, since they are our friends and are such wonderful people, I think there is this charisma that comes off both of them.”
Storer added: “From the beginning, it was like, ‘We should just show people being really good at their jobs and pushing each other.’ Selfishly, I hadn’t seen a show without a romantic plot and was like, ‘That could be kind of cool and interesting.’”
The Bear is streaming on Hulu.
Jamie Lee Curtis Calls Colin Farrell Out at SAG Awards for Giving Her COVID

Jamie Lee Curtis used Colin Farrell‘s win at the 2025 SAG Awards to playfully put him on blast for giving her COVID.
Curtis, 66, presented the trophy for Best Actor in a Limited Series for Farrell’s role in Max’s Penguin on Sunday, February 23, saying, “The man who [won] gave me COVID at the Golden Globes: Colin Farrell.” Farrell joked about Curtis’ revelation after joining her on stage at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles.
“[I am] guilty as charged. But Brendan Gleeson f–ing gave it to me!” Farrell, 48, quipped about his The Banshees of Inisherin costar. “So I was just spreading the love.”
Farrell’s win came after he was nominated alongside Javier Bardem for Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menéndez Story, Kevin Kline for Disclaimer, Andrew Scott for Ripley and Richard Gadd for Baby Reindeer.

The SAG Award was Farrell’s first after he took home a trophy at the Golden Globe for the titular role. Farrell also walked away with a win at the Critics’ Choice Awards, which awarded his costar Cristin Milioti as well.

Farrell was recently asked about joining the ranks of Heath Ledger and Joaquin Phoenix, who played DC villain Joker in The Dark Knight and Joker, respectively.
“You mentioned two actors who are, I think, for my money, two of the most extraordinarily talented and gifted and just brilliant artists in films that I’ve ever had the fortune to observe and be affected by,” he said in the press room last month. “What Heath did in Chris Nolan’s Dark Knight was extraordinary, and will live on for future generations. And what [Phoenix] did with the Joker was as exemplified by all the awards that he won, in the Oscars. It was extraordinary.”
While Farrell was called out for passing on COVID at a star-studded event, he isn’t the first. Steve Martin revealed earlier this month that Martin Short got COVID after appearing on Saturday Night Live’s 50th anniversary special.

“Maya [Rudolph] had Covid. Marty has Covid. I wonder why? The SNL 50th Covid curse is real,” Martin, 79, wrote via Instagram alongside a photo of Maya Rudolph and Short, 74, sharing a kiss backstage at SNL 50: The Anniversary Special in New York.
Short’s illness caused a delay in several stops on his and Martin’s Dukes of Funnytown Tour, which took place in Durham, North Carolina, and Knoxville, Tennessee. Short was also not in attendance at Sunday’s SAG Awards despite winning for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series.
“Unfortunately, we have to reschedule our sold out Durham and Knoxville dates to 10/17 Knoxville and 10/18 Durham,” Martin added. “So sorry for the inconvenience. I think we’ll be funnier then, anyway.”
Jane Fonda Says She's 'Not Done' During SAG Awards Life Achievement Award

Jane Fonda gave a powerful speech while accepting the Life Achievement Award at the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Fonda, 87, took the stage at the Sunday, February 23, event, held at Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles, after being presented with the honor by Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
“Wow. This means the world to me. I’m going to talk loud. Thank you SAG-AFTRA. And your enthusiasm makes this seem like a twilight of my life and more like a, ‘Go girl kick ass!’ Which is good because I’m not done,” the actress, who donned a custom Armani gown and Pomellato Jewelry, began her speech to roaring applause. “I have had a really weird career — totally, not as my agents there at that table will tell you, totally unstrategic. I retired for a few years and then I came back at 65, which is not usual, and then I made one of my most successful movies in my 80s and probably in my 90s I’ll be doing my own stunts in an action movie. Have you ever heard the phrase, ‘It’s OK to be a late bloomer as long as you don’t miss the flower show’? I’m a late bloomer. This is the flower show.”
She continued, “I love acting. We get to open people’s minds to new ideas, take them beyond what they understand of the world and help them laugh when things are tough, like now. And for a woman like me, who grew up in the ‘40s and ‘50s when women weren’t supposed to have opinions and get angry, acting gave me a chance to play angry women with opinions — which you know is a bit of a stretch for me. I’m a big believer in unions. They have our backs, they bring us into community and they give us power. Community means power. And this is really important right now when worker’s power is being attacked and community is being weakened. But SAG-AFTRA is different from most other unions because us, the workers, the actors, we don’t manufacture anything tangible. What we create is empathy. Our job is to understand another human being so profoundly that we can touch their souls. We know why they do what they do, we know their joy and their pain.”

Fonda then briefly was interrupted by an announcer over the loudspeakers, to which she replied, “And I can conjure up voices!”
She then concluded her speech by sharing more of what it means to have “empathy” as an actor, telling the crowd, “We have to drill deep, we have to know for example if a young woman is cutting, or she’s a sex worker, there’s a good chance that as a young girl she was sexual abused or incested. … And I’m sure many of you guys have played bullies and misogynists and you can pretty much know that, probably, that their father bullied them and called them weak, called them losers or pussies. And while you may hate the behavior of your character, you have to understand and empathize with the traumatized person you’re playing, right? … Make no mistake, empathy is not weak or woke. And by the way, woke just means you give a damn about other people.”
Earlier this month, Fonda released a statement expressing her gratitude about being recognized for the prestigious award.
“I am deeply honored and humbled to be this year’s recipient of the SAG Life Achievement Award,” the 9 to 5 star said in response to the announcement.”SAG-AFTRA works tirelessly to protect the working actor and to ensure that union members are being treated equitably in all areas, and I am proud to be a member as we continue to work to protect generations of performers to come.”
SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) president Fran Drescher also addressed the decision to honor Fonda, labeling her a pioneer of the entertainment industry.
“Jane Fonda is a trailblazer and an extraordinary talent — a dynamic force who has shaped the landscape of entertainment, advocacy and culture with unwavering passion,” Drescher shared in a statement. “We honor Jane not only for her artistic brilliance but for the profound legacy of activism and empowerment she has created.”

Fonda’s career has spanned over six decades, making the SAG honor well-deserved and adding to her long list of accolades that includes two Oscars, an Emmy, seven Golden Globes and two BAFTA Awards. Her talents have spanned various mediums, including TV (HBO’s The Newsroom and Netflix’s Grace and Frankie) and film (1968’s Barbarella, 1969’s They Shoot Horses, Don’t They?, 1978’s Coming Home and 1980’s 9 to 5).
Beyond her artistic achievements, Fonda has been a vocal advocate for social causes such as gender equality, environmental justice and civil rights since the 1960s, In 1984, she cofounded the Hollywood Women’s Political Committee and in 2005 established the Women’s Media Center. She later launched the Jane Fonda Climate PAC in 2022 to combat the climate crisis and has been arrested multiple times in the name of peaceful protest and social justice.
In 2022, she celebrated her 85th birthday by raising $1 million for her nonprofit, the Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Power & Potential, which is focused on teen pregnancy and adolescent health.
During an April 2018 interview with the Harvard Business Review, Fonda opened up about her decision to pursue acting and shared how motherhood pivoted her career into the nonprofit sector. (The actress welcomed daughter Vanessa with first husband Roger Vadim and son Troy with ex-husband Tom Hayden. The exes also share daughter Mary Luana Williams, whom they adopted in the 1980s.)

“I became an actress because I didn’t know what else to do! I was fired as a secretary; Lee Strasberg [the acting coach] told me I was talented; and I had to earn a living,” she explained. “That was the way I thought about it: It was a job. The activism wasn’t until I was 30. There was a lot going on in the world and I was pregnant, which makes a woman like a sponge, very open to what’s going on around her. It was around that time that I began to realize that I wanted to change my life and participate in trying to end the war. I lived in France, I was married to Roger Vadim, I had a young daughter, and I left it all and went to America to become an activist.”
A Look Back at the 'Jersey Shore' Cast's Dating Histories
When Jersey Shore premiered on MTV in 2009, viewers got to watch the personal lives of eight housemates from New Jersey — and many fans are still keeping up with the group.
Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro‘s on and off relationship quickly became a largestory line as they tried to make things work. Following many fights and splits, Giancola and Ortiz-Magro initially stayed together when the series wrapped in 2012.
Less than two years later, however, Ortiz-Magro confirmed that the pair split for good. “Me and Sammi aren’t together anymore,” he exclusively told Us Weekly in August 2014. “We just grew our separate ways. She’s still a great person. I love her as a person and I care about her but we went our separate ways. That’s it.”
