As Super Bowl LIX approaches, Guy Fieri, J.J. Watt and Carla Hall are sharing their advice on how to throw the most epic get-together for the Big Game.

“People like the fall, holidays and summer,” Fieri, 57, exclusively reveals in the latest issue of Us Weekly. “[But] football season is my favorite season of the year.”

While Fieri sees Super Bowl Sunday as a sports enthusiast’s biggest holiday, Hall, 60, believes that the game is a pop culture moment for all to enjoy.

“It’s not just about the [football],” the Top Chef alum tells Us. “We wanna see the commercials. It’s what food are you gonna be eating? It’s coming together with your friends.”

Turn Your Party Into an Event

To accommodate a large gathering, Fieri recommends having a couple of TVs playing the game so your guests can feel comfortable.

“We have one outside, one here in the kitchen, one in the living room,” the restaurateur, who recently launched Flavortown Cookware, tells Us.

To make the party more exciting and lively, Hall suggests making things interesting by incorporating some games into the viewing experience.

“Have a football pool, but it would also be fun to do a bingo game where you ask questions about the teams that keep people engaged in the game,” she says. “Like, which quarterback is gonna make the first touchdown? It keeps people chatting and there’s no lull.”

Prepare Snacks in Advance

“Don’t carry the whole burden yourself,” Fieri advises. “People want to put on this big spread, and they spend all their time in the kitchen yelling, ‘What just happened?’ Do foods that you can set up and get ’em done. Chicken wings — hot chicken wings, not so hot, they’re fine. Let people put the sauces on ’em. People want to warm them up, throw them in an air fryer.”

Give Them Options

When it’s up to the Mayor of Flavortown, he prefers for his guests to have plenty of choices for what to put on their game day plate.

“Not everybody likes the same thing,” Fieri says. “Roast a piece of prime rib or top round and slice it thin. You could go French dips, you could go hot Italian beef, you could go barbecue sandwiches, you could go an Asian banh mi.”

Three Zone Strategy

While not everyone will be as tapped into the games as others, Watt has a foolproof method to ensure everyone has a blast during the gathering.

“You have to have a three zone strategy,” the former defensive end tells Us. “You have the kitchen where the food and conversation happen. You have a socializing TV room where the game is on, but people are in and out. And you have a football-dedicated zone: this is where the guys — or gals! — that really want to lock in on the game go. Don’t mess with them!”

The upcoming biopic about Michael Jackson reportedly needs to be reshot after a past legal agreement from an accuser was recently discovered.

According to a report from Puck on Thursday, January 23, the film initially included the lawsuit against the late musician — who died in 2009 at age 50 — filed by Evan Chandler. Chandler’s son Jordan, who was 13 at the time, accused Jackson of sexual abuse in 1993. (Jackson’s estate repeatedly denied abuse accusations made against the late star.)

Jackson and the Chandlers settled the lawsuit out of court for a reported $23 million. According to the outlet, part of the settlement includes a clause that the Chandlers can never be mentioned or dramatized in a film.

Puck reported that the biopic’s script included Jackson’s legal battle against the Chandlers as one of the plot points before it was discovered that they could not be mentioned. Now the film allegedly has to reshoot some of those scenes due to the legal issue.

TMZ reported on Friday, January 24, that the biopic, titled Michael, will complete reshoots in March. Additional details about the reshoots were not shared.

The film has been in the works since 2019, when Graham King secured the rights to tell Jackson’s story. In 2023, Jackson’s nephew, Jaafar Jackson, was cast to portray his late uncle. The film also stars Colman Domingo and Nia Long as the pop icon’s parents, Joe and Katherine Jackson. Miles Teller, Laura Harrier, Kat Graham and more are also in the star-studded cast.

In March 2024, King spoke out about how he wanted to take an “unbiased” approach to the biopic.

“Michael’s life was complicated,” King said in a statement to Variety. “As a filmmaker, I look to humanize but not sanitize and present the most compelling, unbiased story I can capture in a single feature film and let the audience decide how they feel after watching it. Michael clearly remains an impactful, culturally relevant artist with a life and legacy worth exploring.”

Michael will follow the life of the entertainer from his time with the Jackson 5 up to his tragic death. He died after suffering cardiac arrest at his home in Los Angeles, and it was later determined that the cause was an overdose of propofol administered by his doctor, Conrad Murray. In 2011, Murray was convicted of involuntary manslaughter and sentenced to four years in prison.

The movie wrapped up filming in May 2024. Michael was initially scheduled to be released in April of this year. However, the premiere date has been pushed back to October.

Justin Baldoni’s lawyer has responded to Blake Lively’s recent request for a gag order amid the pair’s ongoing legal drama.

According to a letter obtained by Us Weekly on Friday, January 24, Baldoni’s attorney Kevin Fritz asked the judge to deny the gag order if it is formally requested by Lively’s team. Fritz argued that Lively, 37, started the “media feeding frenzy” and claimed that she provided The New York Times with a copy of her original complaint which included her allegations against Baldoni, 41, and his studio, Wayfarer.

“The results have been utterly calamitous for Mr. Baldoni and the other Wayfarer Parties, who instantly became objects of public scorn and contempt,” the letter read. “Already, the Wayfarer Parties have been exiled from polite society and suffered damages totaling hundreds of millions of dollars due to Ms. Lively’s scorched-earth media campaign.”

Fritz claimed that the move made by Lively’s legal team was an “intimidation tactic” especially after Baldoni’s team recently released unseen footage from It Ends With Us that includes Baldoni and Lively interacting during a dance scene.

“The Lively Parties’ desire to force the Wayfarer Parties to defend themselves privately against allegations made publicly is not a proper basis for a gag order,” the letter continued. “It is tactical gamesmanship, and it is outrageous.”

The decision will be discussed at a conference scheduled for February 12.

Us has reached out to Baldoni and Lively’s reps for comment.

Earlier this week, Bryan Freedman, who is an additional lawyer for Baldoni, released the video in an attempt to disprove Lively’s side of the story.

The footage obtained by Us on Tuesday, January 21, began with a statement that read, “Ms. Lively’s complaint alleges that during a scene Mr. Baldoni and Ms. Lively were filming for a slow dance montage, Mr. Baldoni was behaving inappropriately. The following videos captured on May 23, 2023, clearly refute Ms. Lively’s characterization of his behavior. The scene in question was designed to show the two characters falling in love and longing to be close to one another. Both actors are clearly behaving well within the scope of the scene and with mutual respect and professionalism. These are all three takes filmed of the sequence.”

The footage showed a scene that has come up in both of Lively and Baldoni’s lawsuits. In the video, Lively and Baldoni were seen discussing his nose and the smell of her spray tan. (Baldoni claimed in his court docs that Lively told him to get a nose job. Lively, for her part, alleged that Baldoni was not in character when he complimented her scent.)

After the video made headlines, Lively’s legal team responded to the clip, claiming that it was “damming” as it corroborated her recount.

“The video shows Mr. Baldoni repeatedly leaning in toward Ms. Lively, attempting to kiss her, kissing her forehead, rubbing his face and mouth against her neck, flicking her lip with his thumb, caressing her, telling her how good she smells, and talking with her out of character,” Lively’s legal team said in a statement to Us on Tuesday.

The following day, Us obtained a letter that Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, filed in court on Tuesday, wanting a protective order to stop Freedman from engaging in “improper conduct” against the couple. The pair claimed Freedman was violating court rules that stop a lawyer from addressing the press with statements that are not related to the case and could potentially prejudice a jury.

Lively and Baldoni’s legal drama began last month when she filed a lawsuit against the director claiming that he sexually harassed her and created a hostile work environment while on the set of It Ends With Us. Baldoni has vehemently denied the allegations. He subsequently sued the New York Times for $250 million for the outlet’s reporting of Lively’s claims against him. Baldoni also sued Lively, Reynolds, and Lively’s publicist, Leslie Sloane, and is seeking $400 million in damages.

Patrick Mahomes’ grandfather has entered hospice care.

“My father has entered hospice and I’m at a loss for words,” Patrick’s mother, Randi Mahomes, announced via her Instagram Story on Friday, January 24.

Randi, 49, shared a throwback photo of her and her dad at an event together. She included a series of prayer hands emojis. Randi also added the bible verse Colossians 3:20, which states “Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.”

Randi did not share any additional details about her father’s current condition. Patrick has yet to publicly speak out.

In September 2024, Randi shared that her father was admitted to the hospital due to an undisclosed sickness. On her social media page, she asked fans for their support via prayer.

The recent update on Patrick’s grandfather comes days before the Kansas City Chiefs face off against the Buffalo Bills for the AFC Championship on Sunday, January 26. “It’s been a special run, just with everybody here in Kansas City from the organization to the community, from the team and from my family,” Patrick said during a press conference. “I just try to cherish that. I still remember moments from the World Series my dad, [Patrick Sr.], played when I was 5 years old. So, these are moments I’ll have with my family for the rest of my life.”

The University of North Carolina has released Bill Belichick’s head coaching salary and additional details of the contract.

UNC publicly shared the legal agreement on Thursday, January 23, after Belichick, 72, officially signed on the dotted line. His contract is a five-year deal that includes a $10 million annual salary.

On top of the base salary, Belichick also has the chance to earn multiple bonuses based on the football team’s performance. If North Carolina makes it to the NCAA Atlantic Coast Conference title game, Belichick will earn an extra $200,000. If the team wins that game, Belick gets a total of $300,000 in bonuses.

If the Tar Heels make a Bowl appearance, Belichick will earn $150,000. However, if the team earns a spot in one of the elite matchups like the Pop-Tarts Bowl, TaxSlayer Gator Bowl, or the Duke Mayo Bowl, then the coach will receive $350,000. Belichick will also earn a bonus if UNC makes it to the College Football Playoff National Championship and if the team wins the coach will get $1.75 million.

While the deal is for five years, the contract does include a termination clause. If Belichick ends the agreement before June 1, 2025, Belichick will be required to pay UNC $10 million. However, if he decides to terminate the deal after that June date, the fee goes down to $1 million.

Belichick was announced as UNC’s coach in December 2024. This will be his first time coaching at the collegiate level. His father, Steve, previously served as an assistant coach at North Carolina from 1953 to 1955.

“I am excited for the opportunity at UNC-Chapel Hill,” Belichick said in a statement. “I grew up around college football with my dad and treasured those times. I have always wanted to coach in college and now I look forward to building the football program in Chapel Hill.”

During his impressive tenure with the New England Patriots, Belichick won six Super Bowls while he was head coach from 2000 to 2023. He and the Patriots mutually decided to part ways in January 2023 after losing two consecutive seasons.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, piriformis syndrome causes pain or numbness in a person’s butt, hip or leg. The pain typically occurs when the body’s piriformis muscle presses on the sciatic nerve which results in inflammation.

The piriformis is a muscle that runs down from the lower spine to the butt and to the top of the thighs. The muscle extends to each side of your body and is used in almost every movement of the lower body. The sciatic nerve, which is the longest nerve in a person’s body, runs underneath the piriformis. It travels from the spinal cord all the way down to a person’s feet.

Piriformis syndrome can occur on one or both sides of the body. It can be caused by injury, swelling, muscle spasms or scar tissue in the piriformis. Anything that makes the piriformis press on the sciatic nerve can cause the syndrome like lifting something improperly, overexercising or sitting for long periods.

In most cases, the painful episodes typically go away in a few days or weeks. Some ways to treat the condition include getting a few days of rest, at-home stretching exercises, physical therapy, massage and medications that relax the muscles. Surgery is not recommended to treat piriformis syndrome. The condition can resolve quickly by making lifestyle changes but there is a possibility it could return.

While the condition sounds similar to a herniated disk or sciatica, piriformis syndrome is different. In the other two ailments, most of the time the lower back is primarily affected and the pain typically travels down through a person’s butt or leg. On the other hand, piriformis syndrome only involves the piriformis muscle pressing on one area of the sciatic nerve which can feel a lot like sciatica but in a more specific zone.

Piriformis syndrome is not a common diagnosis and according to experts it only accounts for about up to 6 percent of lower back pain.

To prevent piriformis syndrome, medical experts recommend stretching before regular exercise, maintaining good posture and not sitting for an extended time.

During a Thursday, January 23, episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, MacDowell, 66, shared she was worried she needed a hip replacement after experiencing pain while riding her Peloton bike. She later learned that she had piriformis syndrome and opened up about living with the condition.

“I ended up with bad knees and a bad hip and … I thought I was literally falling apart, like I was gonna have to get new pieces,” the Four Weddings and a Funeral actress said. “But the good news is my pieces are fine. My knees are good except for aging. They’ve aged. I’m working out really hard now doing PT. I’m not falling apart.”

Leslie David Baker had a lot of memorable moments filming The Office — including one hilarious instance that involved Steve Carell.

“The fire drill [episode] is extremely funny,” Baker, 66, exclusively told Us Weekly on Thursday, January 23 while promoting his partnership with Tastiez. “I was force fed a brand new leather wallet by Michael Scott during a heart attack.”

In the season 5 episode, which is titled “Stress Relief,” Baker’s character, Stanley, has a heart attack after Dwight (Rainn Wilson) plans a fire to test his coworkers’ response in an emergency. After learning they were trapped in the building in the blaze, Stanley collapses. Michael (played by Carell) then jumps into action in an attempt to save his employee by stuffing a wallet into his mouth, seemingly mixing up how to assist a stroke with a heart attack.

While looking back on his time on the Emmy-winning comedy, Baker also thought of instances where his character “was harpooned with a dart” and yelled at B.J. Novak’s character, Ryan, for flirting with his fictional daughter, noting they were all hilarious to shoot.

“When I got to yell at Ryan for allegedly flirting with my daughter, and he was cracking up in terms of the dialogue I rattled at him,” he recalled. “How any of us were able to keep it together on any given day with so much laughter remains a mystery.”

Baker added that while The Office fans had thoroughly enjoyed watching the series in its nine seasons, the cast had “much more fun filming it.”

In addition to sharing laughs and fond memories, Baker added that the season 7 episode where Carell, now 62, left the show and the series finale were “definitely tearjerkers.” However, his most cherished moment involved getting the entire gang back together.

“My favorite episode was the wedding when Dwight and Angela got married and we all got to come back together,” he told Us. “So that was a great episode. That was fun.”

While portraying Stanley for nearly a decade, Baker explained that he helped “create” the fan favorite — and often curmudgeonly (except on pretzel day) — character by utilizing his personal experience from working in corporate America, which allowed him to feel relatable to fans.

While fans believe that Stanley got grumpier and sassier as the show went on, Baker thinks that those traits were there all along. Instead, Baker credited the crew for picking up on hit little ticks.

“I think we just got to see him more and empathize with him as a character … but he’d probably gotten more camera time and what was there, was there all along?” he told Us. “It’s just situations that occurred, that a great camera crew captured.”

Since The Office wrapped up in 2013, Baker has continued to act in various projects but in his free time, he likes to entertain his loved ones. With the help of Tastiez, Baker can now pair “great conversation with delicious snack foods.”

“My favorite appetizers are usually something crunchy, crispy, flavorful, sweet/salty, easy to prepare, a variety of flavors, and some unusual spices,” he said. “It is so refreshing to no longer have to rely upon the usual old standby snacks such as nuts, chips, crackers.”

Donna Kelce is not ready to step into the dating pool according to Susan Noles.

“Of course I talked to her [about dating],” Noles, 67, said to cohost Amy Robach after asking if Kelce, 72, was “ready to mingle” on the Wednesday, January 22, episode of iHeartRadio’s “I Do, Part 2” podcast.

Noles and Kelce spent some time together at the recent Kansas City Chiefs game. While the women were chatting, the Golden Bachelor alum teased that she “quizzed” Kelce about her love life.

Several people have been charged and arrested in connection to the death of Liam Payne.

In October 2024, Payne died at age 31 after falling from a third-floor balcony at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires. Following his death, an investigation was conducted and the hotel was searched multiple times.

According to a preliminary autopsy, Payne’s cause of death was cited as “multiple traumas” which included hemorrhages in his chest, skull and abdomen. A partial autopsy reportedly found “pink cocaine” — a mix of methamphetamine, ketamine and MDMA — cocaine, benzodiazepine and crack in Payne’s system.

In November 2024, the prosecutor’s office charged three individuals — who were not named at the time — with abandonment leading to death and the supply and facilitation of narcotics. According to a 180-page indictment, the suspects included a “companion” of Payne, a hotel employee and a narcotics supplier. Prosecutor Andrés Esteban Madrea requested that the suspects provide a deposition and be placed under arrest.

The following month, a local Argentinian news outlet reported that five people were charged in connection to Payne’s death. Payne’s friend Roger Nores was among those facing manslaughter charges, along with two CasaSur Palermo employees Esteban Grassi and Gilda Martin. Braian Nahuel Paiz, a waiter, and CasaSur employee Ezequiel Pereyra were charged with allegedly supplying drugs to Payne ahead of his death. All five individuals were summoned to appear in court.

At the beginning of the investigation, Paiz was immediately deemed a suspect. Paiz, a waiter who was accused of supplying Payne with narcotics, ultimately denied dealing drugs to the late musician. Paiz claimed he met Payne when he dined at the restaurant where Paiz worked at in Puerto Madero weeks before his death.

While Payne dined at the establishment, Paiz alleged the singer “was already under the effects of drugs and he didn’t actually eat anything.” However, the duo exchanged information and met up another time.

“We took drugs together, but I never took drugs to him or accepted any money,” Paiz claimed in a November 2024 interview with Argentina’s Telefe Noticias.

That same month, Paiz exclusively told Us Weekly that he wanted to aid the authorities in their ongoing investigation.

“I want to contribute everything: my phone, everything to the investigation,” Paiz said. “I have nothing that can harm me. … The other thing is to contribute what I saw personally and what I experienced firsthand.”

In December 2024, Paiz was charged with allegedly supplying drugs to Payne. Us confirmed in January 2025 that he was arrested and could face between four and 15 years in prison.

Ezequiel Pereyra

Pereyra, who was a CasaSur employee, was charged with allegedly supplying drugs to Payne before his passing. Local outlets reported Pereyra was arrested in January 2025, nearly one week after Paiz, per CBS News.

Roger Nores

Nores, who was a close friend of Payne, was accused of abandoning Payne ahead of his death and was charged with manslaughter. Nores has vehemently denied the allegations.

“I never abandoned Liam. I went to his hotel 3 times that day and left 40 minutes before this happened,” Nores told the Daily Mail in a November 2024 statement. “There were over 15 people at the hotel lobby chatting and joking with him when I left. I could have never imagined something like this would happen.”

In December 2024, Nores testified regarding Payne’s drug use and claimed his struggles continued despite seeking treatment.

“Because of his addictions, Payne continued to attend rehab centers of his own free will in an attempt to overcome them,” Nores said in a court filing. “Unfortunately, these treatments were not successful and his addiction worsened as he began to use harder drugs, such as heroin.”

While Nores has been charged with manslaughter, he has not been arrested.

Esteban Grassi

Grassi served as the hotel’s receptionist. Grassi has been accused of asking others to take Payne to his room before his death and subsequently charged with manslaughter. Grassi has not been arrested.

Gilda Martin

Martin worked as a manager at the CasaSur Palermo hotel. Grassi was charged with manslaughter for allegedly failing to stop Payne from being taken to his hotel room before his deadly fall, per the BBC. An arrest has not been made.

Former child actress Ellen Marlow — who starred in the 2008 teen dramedy film The Clique — is getting candid about the struggles she faced in the industry at a young age.

In a TikTok video uploaded on Wednesday, January 22, Marlow, now 30, claimed that she was given unsavory advice from her agents at the time.

Sean “Diddy” Combs has filed a defamation lawsuit against one of his accusers, their attorney and NewsNation.

According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, Diddy, 55, filed the lawsuit in New York against Courtney Burgess and his attorney Ariel Mitchell on Wednesday, January 22. Burgess previously testified before a federal grand jury against Diddy claiming to have evidence of alleged “freak off” parties.

The filing also named Nexstar Media Inc., which operates NewsNation. Both Burgess and Mitchell appeared on the network’s program, Banfield, in November 2024 to discuss the allegations made against Diddy. (The music mogul has been behind bars since September 2024 after being indicted on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.)

The paperwork claimed that Burgess and Mitchell fabricated “outrageous lies” against Diddy so they could “gain social media fame, enrich themselves, and strip Mr. Combs of his reputation, livelihood and right to a fair trial.”

While appearing on NewsNation, Burgess claimed to possess 11 flash drives that allegedly featured videos of eight celebrities, six men and two women. Burgess alleged that “two to three” of the individuals were minors. In the January filing, Diddy accused Burgess of lying and claimed that no such tape exists.

Diddy — who is currently in prison as he awaits his trial scheduled for May 5 — is seeking no less than $50 million in damages, including punitive damages, for the harm the “false and defamatory statements have caused.”

In the paperwork, Diddy claimed that “malicious lies” conducted by Burgess, Mitchell and NewsNation has caused him to suffer from “significant reputational and economic harm.” In addition to the negativity on social media, Diddy claimed that the “intentionally false and defamatory statements have also poisoned the minds” of potential jury pool for Diddy’s upcoming trial this year.

“Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is taking a stand against the malicious falsehoods that have been fabricated and amplified by individuals seeking to profit at his expense,” Diddy’s attorney Erica Wolff said in a statement. “These defendants have willfully fabricated and disseminated outrageous lies with reckless disregard for the truth. Their falsehoods have poisoned public perception and contaminated the jury pool. This complaint should serve as a warning that such intentional falsehoods, which undermine Mr. Combs’s right to a fair trial, will no longer be tolerated.”

Diddy Calls for Names of Accusers to Be Released

Diddy’s legal trouble started last year when was indicted by a grand jury in September 2024. He was subsequently arrested on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution. A 14-page indictment claimed that Diddy “abused, threatened and coerced women and others around him” for decades at his infamous parties, nicknamed “Freak-Offs.”

Diddy has repeatedly denied the allegations and pleaded not guilty to the charges. He remains incarcerated at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center after being denied bail on four separate appeals.

Jinger Duggar opened up about what it was like following her family’s modest dressing rules while doing the TLC group photo shoots.

“Getting everyone in something they wanted to wear was always a little challenging,” Duggar, 31, said on the January 22 episode of her and husband Jeremy Vuolo’s self-titled podcast. “I was always a little nervous about that because I didn’t know what wardrobe they were going to choose. She recalled one instance where there was a dress that was about “two sizes too big” and she needed to get it pinned to fit her. The wardrobe team would also hide their makeshift tailoring attempts by having Jinger wear a jacket over the dress.

Jinger also shared that the wardrobe team had fact sheets for her and her family that included their photos plus sizing information. However, there were some stylists who were unaware of the Duggar family’s rule that women could not wear pants. (Jinger later added pants to her wardrobe after tying the knot with Vuolo in 2016.)

“A couple of them didn’t realize we didn’t wear pants,” she said but noted that the network never tried to get her to wear anything that wasn’t her style.

Jinger also claimed that wardrobe would return the clothing items after the photoshoot. However, if someone wanted to keep a clothing item, they would occasionally “let you keep an outfit depending on the cost.”

Gray made headlines in January 2025 after he filed for divorce from wife Brittney Green after five years of marriage. According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, Gray listed the pair’s date of separation as August 1, 2024. He cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split.

The announcer later told TMZ that his and Green’s separation was amicable and that the pair were in counseling to work on their marriage.

Ali Krieger and Ashlyn Harris’ divorce proceedings have come to an end, Us Weekly can exclusively confirm.

The retired soccer players finalized their divorce on December 4, 2024, according to court documents obtained by Us. They each retain the rights to their respective names, likenesses and photographs and will share joint legal custody of kids Sloane and Ocean, who will primarily reside in New Jersey. Per the docs, any move would have to be made in the children’s best interests.

The docs also reveal that Krieger, 40, and Harris, 39, had sold their properties in Florida in order to divide assets. They each retain individual savings accounts and cars. Kriege also gets to keep the security deposit on her New Jersey home.

Us previously confirmed that Harris was the first to file for divorce in Florida in September 2023. In the filing, Harris described her marriage to Krieger as “irretrievably broken.”

Harris and Krieger met while playing for the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team and got engaged in September 2018. While the pair kept their romance low-key at first, they decided to go public and wed the following year.

As Krieger and Harris navigated their public split, both athletes have opened up about their relationship struggles. In November 2024, Harris claimed that she and Krieger “weren’t intimate” during their marriage.

Blake Lively‘s legal team has responded to the new It Ends With Us video footage released by Justin Baldoni’s attorney.

“Justin Baldoni and his lawyer may hope that this latest stunt will get ahead of the damaging evidence against him, but the video itself is damning. Every frame of the released footage corroborates, to the letter, what Ms. Lively described in Paragraph 48 of her Complaint,” Lively’s legal team said in a statement to Us Weekly on Tuesday, January 21. “The video shows Mr. Baldoni repeatedly leaning in toward Ms. Lively, attempting to kiss her, kissing her forehead, rubbing his face and mouth against her neck, flicking her lip with his thumb, caressing her, telling her how good she smells, and talking with her out of character.”

The statement continued: “Every moment of this was improvised by Mr. Baldoni with no discussion or consent in advance and no intimacy coordinator present. Mr. Baldoni was not only Ms. Lively’s costar, but the director, the head of [the] studio and Ms. Lively’s boss.”

The message also noted that in the clip Lively, 37, was “leaning away and repeatedly asking for the characters to just talk.”

Releasing this video to the media, rather than presenting it as evidence in court, is another example of an unethical attempt to manipulate the public,” the statement read. “It is also a continuation of their harassment and retaliatory campaign. While they are focused on misleading media narratives, we are focused on the legal process. We are continuing our efforts to require Mr. Baldoni and his associates to answer in court, under oath, rather than through manufactured media stunts.”

In response to the most recent statement and claims from Lively’s legal team regarding the footage, Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman told Us, “Prior to filing her lawsuit in court, Ms. Lively went to The New York Times in an effort to publicly destroy Justin Baldoni. When Mr. Baldoni exercises his right to publicly defend himself by putting forth actual facts and evidence, for Ms. Lively and team this instantly becomes morally and ethically wrong. Ms. Lively wants very different standards to apply to her but fortunately, truth and authenticity apply to everyone and can never be wrong. Looking at the video and the evidence to come, I can understand why Ms. Lively would now, not want this to play out in public.

The footage, which was obtained by Us earlier on Tuesday, features the costars romantically slow dancing and laughing in character for a montage with no dialogue during the film. The duo could, however, be heard exchanging ideas for the scene as they swayed back and forth.

“Ms. Lively’s complaint alleges that during a scene Mr. Baldoni and Ms. Lively were filming for a slow dance montage, Mr. Baldoni was behaving inappropriately,” a statement at the start of the video read. “The following videos captured on May 23, 2023, clearly refute Ms. Lively’s characterization of his behavior. The scene in question was designed to show the two characters falling in love and longing to be close to one another. Both actors are clearly behaving well within the scope of the scene and with mutual respect and professionalism. These are all three takes filmed of the sequence.”

After news broke of Baldoni’s legal filing, Lively broke her silence with a statement via her legal team.

“This latest lawsuit from Justin Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios, and its associates is another chapter in the abuser playbook. This is an age-old story: A woman speaks up with concrete evidence of sexual harassment and retaliation and the abuser attempts to turn the tables on the victim. This is what experts call DARVO. Deny. Attack. Reverse Victim Offender,” the message read. “Wayfarer has opted to use the resources of its billionaire co-founder to issue media statements, launch meritless lawsuits, and threaten litigation to overwhelm the public’s ability to understand that what they are doing is retaliation against sexual harassment allegations.”

Justin Baldoni’s team has plans to launch a website that will allegedly support the It Ends With Us director’s allegations against Blake Lively.

“Justin and team have the right to defend themselves with the truth,” Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, said in a statement to Us Weekly on Tuesday, January 21. “And this is what we will be continuing to show with the upcoming website containing all correspondence as well as relevant videos that directly quash her claims.”

News of the forthcoming website comes shortly after Us obtained footage from the set of It Ends With Us from Freedman, who claims the videos disprove Lively’s allegations that his client acted “inappropriately” on the set of It Ends With Us.

The clip began with a statement that read, “Ms. Lively’s complaint alleges that during a scene Mr. Baldoni and Ms. Lively were filming for a slow dance montage, Mr. Baldoni was behaving inappropriately. The following videos captured on May 23, 2023, clearly refute Ms. Lively’s characterization of his behavior. The scene in question was designed to show the two characters falling in love and longing to be close to one another. Both actors are clearly behaving well within the scope of the scene and with mutual respect and professionalism. These are all three takes filmed of the sequence.”

Following the on-screen explainer, Baldoni, 40, and Lively, 37, can be seen smiling and laughing as they filmed a dancing scene with no dialogue. At one point, Lively suggested that it would be “more romantic” if she and Baldoni were talking in the scene.

Baldoni and Lively’s ongoing drama and subsequent legal battles began last year, after rumors swirled of an on-set tension between the pair. Those same rumors hit a fever pitch after Lively and Baldoni did not promote the Colleen Hoover adaptation together.

In December 2024, Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, accusing the director of sexual harassment and creating a hostile work environment. Baldoni has denied the allegations.

The following month, Baldoni’s studio, Wayfarer, sought legal action against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds and Lively’s publicist Leslie Sloan. In the filing, Baldoni, accuses the trio of civil extortion, defamation, false light invasion of privacy and more. The paperwork also included alleged text message exchanges between Lively and Baldoni as they collaborated on It Ends With Us. Baldoni is seeking $400 in alleged damages.

“This lawsuit is a legal action based on an overwhelming amount of untampered evidence detailing Blake Lively and her team’s duplicitous attempt to destroy Justin Baldoni, his team and their respective companies by disseminating grossly edited, unsubstantiated, new and doctored information to the media,” Baldoni’s lawyer said in a statement to Us on Thursday, January 16. “It is clear based on our own all out willingness to provide all complete text messages, emails, video footage and other documentary evidence that was shared between the parties in real time, that this is a battle she will not win and will certainly regret. Blake Lively was either severely misled by her team or intentionally and knowingly misrepresented the truth.”

Lively’s legal team later hit back with a response to Baldoni’s lawsuit.

Wayfarer has opted to use the resources of its billionaire co-founder to issue media statements, launch meritless lawsuits, and threaten litigation to overwhelm the public’s ability to understand that what they are doing is retaliation against sexual harassment allegations.”

Justin Baldoni and his wife, Emily Baldoni, took some much-needed R&R amid his ongoing lawsuit and drama with Blake Lively.

“Justin and Emily’s trip with their kids and close friends has been planned for a while,” a source exclusively tells Us Weekly adding that the couple “have always considered Maui a very happy place for them.”

Justin and Emily, both 40, were spotted on a family vacation with their children in Hawaii over the weekend. The director was photographed enjoying the beach as he played in the waves with his and Emily’s daughter Maiya, 9, and son Maxwell, 7.

While the getaway was planned long before the recent lawsuit Baldoni’s studio, Wayfarer, filed against Lively, 37, it seemingly came at a perfect time.

“Justin and Emily are looking forward to get away from the every day drama and to spend some time with their kids and friends,” the insider explains. “Justin has been working nonstop and wanted to reconnect with what’s important to him, his family and friends.”

On Thursday, January 16, Wayfarer filed a lawsuit for $400 million in damages against Lively, her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and Lively’s publicist, Leslie Sloane. The paperwork included accusations of civil extortion, defamation, false light invasion of privacy and other claims.

“We’re grateful to be with the family, man,” Justin told photographers on Friday, January 17. “We have amazing friends and family and faith.”

Justin and Lively worked together on the film adaptation of It Ends With Us. Rumors swirled that there was tension between the pair on set as Justin and Lively did not interact during the movie’s press tour. In December 2024, Lively filed paperwork in accusing Justin of sexual harassment, creating a “hostile work environment” and causing her “severe emotional distress” while working together.

“I hope that my legal action helps pull back the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics to harm people who speak up about misconduct and helps protect others who may be targeted,” Lively said in a statement to The New York Times at the time.

Justin vehemently denied the allegations. His legal team called Lively’s claims “completely false, outrageous and intentionally salacious.” Bryan Freedman alleged in a statement to Us Weekly that the actress filed the lawsuit to “fix her negative reputation” and “rehash a narrative” regarding the production of It Ends With Us.
