Christina Haack is recalling the alleged treatment she received from estranged husband Josh Hallon the set of The Flip Off before he parted ways with the show.
“Josh was very hard to film with,” Haack, 41, exclusively shared with Us Weekly in the latest cover story with her ex-husband Tarek El Moussaand his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa. “He didn’t get it. He’d always get upset with me, like, ‘Oh, my gosh, you did this,’ or ‘You did that.’ And I’m like, ‘I’m making a TV show.’”
After Haack and Hall filed for divorce in July 2024, his role with The Flip Off changed. Us confirmed at the time that since the series was already “in production,” Haack, Tarek and Heather would be “moving forward with the show without” Josh.
“Ultimately, it was better that he left after episode 1 because the show would’ve sucked,” Haack told Us.
When asked whether Hall voiced any concerns about her working with her ex Tarek, Haack replied, “If I would laugh at Tarek, I would get the silent treatment for a week.” Haack claimed that his reaction stemmed from “insecurity.”
Haack explained that filming The Flip Off “probably just sped [their split] up.” Haack noted that she and Tarek had “filmed together forever,” referencing Flip or Flop, which premiered in 2013. (Haack and Tarek, who share two kids, finalized their divorce in 2018 but continued to work together until the show’s final season in 2022.)
“Somebody with more confidence would be able to say, ‘This is my wife, but yes, she does this for TV. She was filming with Tarek when I met her,’” Haack told Us. “There was a rationale there that didn’t make sense. You know what you signed up for. I’m your wife, and I’m choosing you, but you’re choosing to make my life harder over insecurities.”
Despite her separation from Hall, Haack shared that she didn’t think about calling it quits on The Flip Off.
“This isn’t Josh’s show,” she said. “No one’s going to miss that he’s not in it. Josh is not a TV host, he’s not a house flipper, he’s not a designer. He was just my husband in it. With Tarek, we built everything together, and I still have respect for him. I have no respect for Josh.”
While the breakup between Haack and Hall will play out on camera, Haack told Us she’s “not nervous” to watch any part of it. “There are definitely some very emotional scenes,” she said. “It’s different than anything I’ve ever shot for television — it’s very real and raw.”
Now, as she navigates her life after parting ways with Hall, Haack said she’s “been very busy, which is probably a blessing.” She added, “It’s really been a big growth period.”
Tarek and Heather, for their part, always tried to be “very friendly” with Hall. “He was our kids’ stepdad, so we wanted a positive environment,” Heather, who welcomed son Tristan with Tarek in January 2023, explained.
However, since Hall left the show, Heather called the dynamics “better.” She added, “Not to be mean, but he definitely didn’t have the best personality. So it’s like a breath of fresh air. And [Christina is] in a really good place.”
The Flip Off premieres Wednesday, January 29, at 8 p.m. on HGTV.

“It was difficult at times. I think she probably was open about that with you guys, too,” Graziadei, 29, said on the Wednesday, January 8, episode of “The Squeeze,” referring to Anderson’s previous appearance on the podcast. “It was never a walk in the park and it’s literally just because of timing. I would have loved — especially in this important beginning time in our relationship — I would have loved to have been able to put so much more time into it than I physically could have.”
Graziadei equated his time on DWTS, which he called “the coolest experience I’ve ever had,” to his past role as a tennis instructor.
“The way I always described it for her and tried to explain it for myself too is it felt like when I was teaching tennis as much as I possibly could. When you’re on court for 40 hours a week and you’re on the entire time.” he said. “Like, you’re talking to people, you’re giving every single version of yourself. When you go home, the last thing you want to do is be ‘on’ again.”
He continued, “It’s not like I had to be ‘on’ in our relationship. But I have to be giving her attention, I have to be making sure that I’m there fully.”
Graziadei explained that he would take 5-10 minutes when he got home to “forget what was in my head with dancing” and then he would “want to hear all about [Kelsey’s] day.”
“But if I came in the door and I wasn’t fully excited, I need to explain why. Like, I was still doing a two-step in my head. Like, I didn’t even know where I was at the time,” he said. “But that was the hardest part initially. You know, everyone’s outside opinion at the beginning, there’s a lot of stuff you can’t control.”
While Graziadei and his partner, Jenna Johnson, competed for the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy in fall 2024, Anderson, 26, addressed fan comments calling her “so strong” for watching the twosome dance. “We are all good in the hood,” Anderson said at the time, adding that Graziadei gives her the “security” and “reassurance” she needs in their relationship.
Graziadei gushed on “The Squeeze” that Anderson was “so amazing and so understanding.” Ultimately, Graziadei said his stint on DWTS — which he won with Johnson, 30 — made his relationship with Anderson even better.
“It made our relationship stronger at the end of the day, which is one of the things I’m most grateful for from the experience,” he said.
Now, as Graziadei and Anderson look toward the future, the former Bachelor gushed that he’s excited to start planning their upcoming nuptials. (Graziadei popped the question to Anderson during The Bachelor season 28 finale, which aired in March 2024.)
“We want to start figuring out some things, planning for the wedding, getting all that kind of cleaned up and getting excited about what’s going to be there for us,” he said. “But I’m excited about the dumbest little things, too. Like, we’re finally cooking in our own kitchen together. We’re finally being able to set up a couch in the TV to have our own movie nights and we can have, you know, parties with people coming over and host people. Like, we have not been able to do that yet.”
“So those are some of the mini things I’m excited for,” he continued, “and my goal is just to be open and available to put as much time as I can into that.”
General Hospital is issuing a warning to viewers ahead of upcoming episodes as wildfire spreads in the Los Angeles area.
“Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the fires currently raging in Los Angeles county,” the show’s official account shared via social media on Wednesday, January 8. “In light of current events, today’s episode of General Hospital (and several that follow) may prove too difficult to watch for some.”
A wind storm sparked brush fires on the morning of Tuesday, January 7, leading local areas to be evacuated. Several A-listers have been affected by the wildfires, with other stars voicing their support for the Los Angeles community.
“Please keep this in consideration prior to tuning in,” the message from General Hospital concluded. “Thank you for your understanding.”
The warning is referring to the latest General Hospital story line about Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) being set on fire by an explosion and screaming in pain. Two months before the scene aired, Duell, 37, announced his decision to exitGeneral Hospital after more than 14 years.
“This wasn’t an easy decision for me, but it feels like the right time in my life,” he wrote via Instagram in November 2024. “I’m beyond grateful to [executive producer] Frank Valentini, the cast, crew, and everyone behind the scenes who have been like family to me throughout this amazing journey.”
Duell wrote at the time that this “isn’t a goodbye — it’s a see you later.” The following month, he opened up about his decision to walk away from the series.
“It’s a life adjustment,” he said on an episode of the “Daily Drama” podcast in December 2024. “A lot of stuff’s been going on in my life. There’s a few things behind it but one thing I did say is my dad passed away and I’m still coming to terms with that.”
Duell shared that he wanted to spend more time with partner Luana Lucci and their 16-month-old son, Dawson.
“I’m preparing myself for next chapters,” he continued. “Right now, I’m just trying to grow in ways that maybe I feel like I stifled myself in certain aspects and sometimes you need to take drastic steps or make yourself feel uncomfortable and that’s not what I’ve done in a long time.”
While reflecting on his run with the series, Duell said he had “a very strong comfort in this for such a long time that my identity was wrapped up in that.”
“It’s going to be a process, but kind of unraveling that and really seeing who I am and where I am now in my life,” he said. “It’s going to be a little journey. I don’t know what the future holds, but there is a lot of work I have to do to achieve the potential that I know I have. Not just career-wise, but a lot of aspects.”
General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC and can be streamed on Hulu.
Sean “Diddy” Combs is not bothered by Luigi Mangione joining him behind bars in New York City.
Multiple outlets reported on Tuesday, January 7, that Diddy, 55, was upset about the attention Mangione, 26, had taken from him inside the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
However, a source close to Diddy denied the idea that he was jealous of Mangione. “This story has been completely made up, and there is no truth [to] it,” the insider exclusively told Us Weekly.
Mangione, who is accused of murdering UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, arrived in New York from Pennsylvania in December 2024 to be arraigned on federal murder charges. (Mangione has pleaded not guilty to multiple counts of murder, including murder as an act of terrorism.)
Mangione is now housed at the same jail where Diddy has been since being arrested in September 2024 on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. (He has denied the allegations and pleaded not guilty to the charges.)
Diddy was previously reported to be in the same housing unit as convicted cryptocurrency fraudster Sam Bankman-Fried. Convicted sex offenders R. Kelly and Ghislaine Maxwell and NXIVM sex cult leader Keith Raniere have also spent time at the Metropolitan Detention Center.
Besides residing in the same jail, Diddy and Mangione also share another connection — their lawyers. News broke in December 2024 that Mangione hired Karen Friedman Agnifilo to represent him. The attorney is married to Marc Agnifilo, who is involved in Diddy’s case.
A spokesperson for Friedman Agnifilo’s firm, Agnifilo Intrater LLP, confirmed to Us that she was retained to represent Mangione in New York. Friedman Agnifilo will “not be making any statements at this time,” the spokesperson told Us at the time.
Since Diddy entered the notoriously dangerous jail, Agnifilo has expressed concerns about his client’s safety.
“The food is inedible, from what I’ve been told,” Agnifilo said in a September 2024 interview after Diddy was denied bail, adding, “It’s violent. Someone like Mr. Combs might be a target for certain things. We can’t let that happen.” (A judge denied Diddy bail in four separate appeals.)
While Us is unaware of the conditions of the Metropolitan Detention Center, several former inmates spoke out about their experiences in an October 2024 cover story.
“It’s a terrible, horrible place,” an inmate who spent three months in the jail in 2019 told Us. “There’s no air movement, and the food is slop.”

“Love u @allisonholker and sharing this will help others know to reach out for help,” Dewan, 44, wrote via her Instagram Story on Tuesday, January 7, including a red heart emoji. Alongside the message, the actress and dancer reposted a video from Holker’s interview with People.
Holker, 36, spoke with the magazine for a story published on Tuesday about her book, This Far: My Story of Love, Loss, and Embracing the Light, which details her life and Boss’ death by suicide in December 2022. Hours after the interview’s release, Holker received backlash from some of Boss’ loved ones for speaking about his personal life.
“Anyone who knows me, knows I go straight to the source during a conflict and handle my business,” Courtney Ann Platt, who appeared on So You Think You Can Dance alongside Holker, wrote via Instagram on Tuesday. “But since there’s clearly no shame in being so public, I haven’t said a word in two years but here I go. This is by far the most tacky, classless, opportunistic act I have ever seen in my entire life.”
Platt, 36, claimed she was friends with the pair and referenced how Holker discussed details from Boss’ life that had not been made public. “You’re a living, breathing bulldozer,” Platt wrote. “Stick to your own demons. Shame on you Allison, shame on your money hungry team. Let my friend Rest in Peace not your PR.”
Boss’ brother, Dré Rose, also claimed there was tension between his family and Holker. “We have noticed a disturbing lack of communication and inclusion concerning the children’s activities and well-being,” he wrote on Tuesday. “It’s disheartening that their interactions with their grandmother, and the wider family, have been noticeably limited.”
Holker has yet to address Platt and Rose’s comments. However, when fellow dancer Kelly Gibson wrote in the comments of People’s post, “This whole thing made me sad. He’s gone. Why tear apart this name? This paycheck was not worth disgracing his name,” Holker responded, “I’ll always love you. Just trying to help people feel safe to ask for help and support.”
Us Weekly reached out to Holker for comment.
In her interview on Tuesday, Holker got candid about navigating life about Boss’ death. (The former DJ on The Ellen DeGeneres Show died by suicide at age 40.) Just before Boss’ funeral, Holker shared that she found a “cornucopia” of drugs including mushrooms, pills and “other substances I had to look up on my phone” hidden in Boss’ closet.
“It was a really triggering moment for me because there were a lot of things I discovered in our closet that I did not know existed,” she said. “It was very alarming to me to learn that there was so much happening that I had no clue [about]. It was a really scary moment in my life to figure that out, but it also helped me process that he was going through so much and he was hiding so much, and there must have been a lot of shame in that.”
Holker explained that she knew Boss used marijuana, noting that he would smoke weed in the guesthouse at night after their kids were asleep. (Holker and Boss shared daughters Weslie, 16, and Zaia, 5, and son Maddox, 8.)
After his death, Holker turned to Boss’ journals. “He was wrestling with a lot inside himself, and he was trying to self-medicate and cope with all those feelings because he didn’t want to put it on anyone because he loved everyone so much,” she said. “He didn’t want other people to take on his pain.”
In Boss’ entries, Holker shared that her late husband had alluded to being sexually abused by a male figure in his childhood.
“Reading Stephen’s journals, and even going back into the books he had read and the things that he was highlighting and lining, really gave me a better perspective of where he was in life and the type of things he was struggling with,” she said. “It did have me feel a lot of empathy towards him and sadness for all the pain that he was holding.”

Sunny Hostinand her husband, Emmanuel “Manny” Hostin, have been by each other’s side through ups and downs.
The View cohost wrote in her 2020 book, I Am These Truths: A Memoir of Identity, Justice, and Living Between Worlds, that she met Manny at a church when they were living in Maryland in 1996. “He was gorgeous, decked out in a beautifully tailored suit,” she wrote, per People.
After the service, Sunny followed him to a bagel shop and tried to strike up a conversation. Their meet-cute ultimately became a “running joke” between the pair.
“He would tell folks that we’d met in a bagel shop, but I’d let him and everyone else know that we’d met in church,” she wrote. “That’s where the connection happened. He just hadn’t seen me.”
Two years later, Sunny and Manny exchanged vows. They welcomed their first child, son Gabriel, in 2002 and added daughter Paloma to their brood in 2006.
Scroll down for a timeline of their relationship:
August 1998
Sunny and Manny tied the knot.
August 2002
Sunny and Manny welcomed their first child, son Gabriel.
Sunny shared that opening up about motherhood in her book was emotional. “I struggled for years with infertility and I was ashamed of it and embarrassed about it for so long,” she said on ABC’s Windy City Live. “I suffered through five miscarriages. My son almost didn’t make it. I was on bed rest for probably seven months with my pregnancy and I fell into a deep depression. I don’t think a lot of women talk about depression, they don’t talk about IVF, they don’t talk about infertility. I thought, ‘I need to talk about this so that women know they’re not alone and that it’s nothing to be ashamed of, nothing to be embarrassed by.’”
January 2021
During an episode of The View, Sunny shared that Manny’s parents died of COVID-19 weeks earlier.
“Although I’ve chosen a very public career, as most of you know, those of you that know my husband, Manny, know that he is intensely private. But after speaking with him, he felt that from a public health standpoint it was very important for me to share that we are deeply saddened that Manny lost both of his parents over the holidays,” Sunny said at the time.
Sunny noted that Manny’s parents “were both physicians and they were both very careful” and “didn’t celebrate Thanksgiving with us because we all decided that it wasn’t safe. And after a lot of contact tracing, we still don’t know how they contracted this virus and this disease.”
September 2021
Sunny and cohost Ana Navarro were asked to leave The View during a live broadcast after testing positive for COVID-19. The results were later revealed to be false positives. While reflecting on the incident, Sunny shared how the health scare impacted Manny, who is a surgeon. “He was in the operating room and had to be pulled out,” she said.
Sunny told People that Manny initially tried to talk her out of undergoing plastic surgery. He told her, “You’re beautiful. You’re hot. You’re sexy.”
However, Sunny made her decision and waited until two days before the procedure to inform her husband. “I said, ‘I’m not asking for permission or a discussion or input,'” Sunny recalled. “‘I’m just giving you information, because I have complete agency over my body, and I need to do this for myself.’”
February 2024
Sunny revealed in an appearance on the “Behind the Table” podcast that Manny wasn’t pleased when she had an interaction with Doug E. Fresh on the show the year before. (Manny appeared on an episode in 2023 for Sunny’s birthday.)
“I don’t know if you remember,” Sunny told the show’s executive producer Brian Teta, “during my 50th birthday show when we had the 50 Years of Hip-Hop, Doug E. Fresh came up to me and, in my husband’s view, danced a little too close to me.”
She continued, “We got into the car, and [Manny] said, ‘What the bleep was that?’”
While Sunny joked that “Doug E. got too fresh for Manny,” she shared that both she and her husband have a tendency to get jealous in their relationship. “You could say that he is worse than I am,” Sunny added. “We don’t like that stuff.”
When a viewer asked whether Manny gets bothered by her obsession with Idris Elba, Sunny replied, “Oh, he doesn’t like it.”
After actor Alan Ritchson appeared as a guest on The View, Sunny quipped that he “may be my new hall pass.” She added, “He can buy me a drink any day. Don’t tell Manny that.”
May 2024
Sunny exclusively told Us Weekly the one thing she wishes she could change with her parenting. “I would take more pictures,” Sunny explained. “I would tell myself, ‘Cherish every single second.’ Because it goes by this quickly. They always tell you that, right? ‘Oh it goes by so quickly.’ I’m like, ‘Uh, no. I’m nursing and I’m up every two hours. It’s not going by quickly at all.’”
Sunny admitted that she “would definitely have almost been more present,” adding, “My husband’s like, ‘You’re crazy.’ I was making baby food and doing all the things. But I would have taken more video and more pictures and spent even more time, if that’s even possible.”
News broke in January 2025 that Manny was one of almost 200 defendants included in an insurance fraud lawsuit filed with the New York Eastern District Court, seeking at least $450 million in damages.
Per court documents obtained by the Daily Mail and viewed by Us, Manny is accused of federal insurance fraud and “getting kickbacks by performing surgery and … billing a company that insured taxi companies and Uber and Lyft drivers.”
The lawsuit read, “Hostin knowingly provided fraudulent medical and other healthcare services including arthroscopic surgeries.” The filing also alleged that insurance firm American Transit was then billed “in exchange for kickbacks and/or other compensation which were disguised as dividends or other cash distributions.”
Us reached out to reps for Sunny and Manny at the time.
Manny denied “each and every allegation,” and called the suit a “blanket, scattershot, meritless lawsuit by a near-bankrupt insurance carrier,” his attorney, Daniel Thwaites, said in a statement to the Daily Mail.
Thwaites said that the filing is “meant to intimidate and harass doctors from collecting for care given to American Transit insureds and their passengers,” while noting that Manny has an “impeccable” record.
“American Transit has rushed into the lawsuit without ever conducting an examination of Dr. Hostin or expressing any concerns to his lawyers,” Thwaites continued. “The real story here is about an insurance carrier abusing the legal system to limit and restrict health care benefits to its insureds and their passengers, and write off its proper obligations.”
In a separate statement to the outlet, a representative for American Transit said: “These substantial possible no-fault recoveries can incentivize providers with ill intent to over-diagnose, over-treat, and over-bill to recover the most money for themselves.”
“This is an unimaginable tragedy,” Plaza’s rep said in a statement to Us on January 6 on behalf of the actress and her family. “We are deeply grateful to everyone who has offered support. Please respect our privacy during this time.”
Days after Baena’s death, manager Simon Jones shared that RuPaul’s Drag Race star James Lee Williams — better known as The Vivienne — died at age 32.
“James was an incredibly loved, warm-hearted and amazing person,” the publicist shared in an Instagram statement on January 5. “Their family are heartbroken at the loss of their son, brother and uncle. They are so proud of the wonderful things James achieved in their life and career. We will not be releasing any further details. We please ask that James’s family are given the time and privacy they now need to process and grieve.”
The next day, authorities confirmed that the beloved drag queen’s death had “no suspicious circumstances.”

“Glen Powell, what a year you’ve had. Oh my God. Glen, you were in everything,” Glaser, 40, said on the award show’s stage while delivering her monologue on Sunday, January 5. “Twisters, Hitman, my head when I’m having sex with my boyfriend. Thank you so much for the assist. I’ll see you tonight.”
In response, Powell, 36, reposed a screenshot of him laughing at the quip. “@nikkiglaser CRUSHED,” he wrote via his Instagram Story on Monday, January 6, alongside a laughing face, flexed biceps and eggplant emojis.
Ahead of the awards show, Glaser said she was “ready” to host — and joked that seeing Powell and Timothée Chalamet in the audience during the show might “set off something new in my head.”
“[Glen] is going to be in the back and he has to wear sunglasses so he can’t make eye contact with me because it will throw me, I need to stay dry,” Glaser said of Powell.“These people don’t talk to me outside of a setting like this, so this is my time to talk to them, for them to look at me. Not that they think they’re better than me, it’s just that I don’t run into these people a lot, so I’m standing up there, and it’s blowing my mind that Angelina Jolie has to listen to me talk for nine minutes.”
Powell was nominated on Sunday for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy for his performance as Gary Johnson in Hit Man, but ultimately lost the award to A Different Man’s Sebastian Stan. (A Real Pain’s Jesse Eisenberg, Heretic’s Hugh Grant, Saturday Night’s Gabriel LaBelle and Kinds of Kindness’ Jesse Plemons were also nominated.)
While Powell walked away from the awards show empty handed, he was surrounded by his loved ones during the event. The actor, who walked the red carpet with both his parents, bumped into his look alike contest winner, too.
“Oh, look who’s here!” the Twisters star said in a video shared by E! News as he walked toward his doppelgänger. The twosome embraced and posed for photos together. “You crushed it, that was so fun,” Powell gushed after calling his mom over to chat with the look alike. An eyewitness exclusively told Us Weeklythat Powell stood with his counterpart “for a while, smiling and laughing.”
While recalling how she landed her role in The Last Showgirl, Song, 36, got candid about showing Culkin, 44, the inside of a Costco for the first time.
“I had just dropped off my son at preschool and was with Mack. We were sitting at Costco and it hadn’t opened yet,” she told Bustle on Tuesday, January 7, of getting the gig. “Mack was sitting there going, ‘Babe’ — he had never been to a Costco before we started dating — ‘We’re sitting in a Costco. I’m wearing Crocs. Costco’s not even open yet. You’ve tamed the beast, honey.’”
She continued, “And I was like, ‘How dare you, sir!’ And my agent calls me and she’s like, ‘Hey, I have this really great script for you. Do you have a second? What are you doing?’ And I was like, ‘Oh, I’m sitting in the parking lot at Costco before it opens.’ She goes, ‘I need to get you a job.’”
Culkin and Song met while starring in Changeland, which premiered in 2019. Two years before the movie’s release, the pair sparked romance rumors when they were spotted on a double date at Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, California.
While the Home Alone star and Song have kept their relationship out of the public eye, they have given some glimpses of their romance. “[The relationship is] great!” Song exclusively told Us Weekly in September 2018. “I don’t like to talk about my personal life, but everything’s wonderful and I’m happy.”
The couple welcomed son Dakota in April 2021. The following January, Us confirmed that Culkin and Song are engaged after she was spotted wearing a ring on her left hand in Beverly Hills. “They are and always have been very in love with each other,” a source told Us.
Culkin and the Disney Channel alum went on to welcome son Carson in December 2022. The next year, Culkin was celebrated at his Hollywood Walk of Fame Ceremony with his family in attendance — and gave a sweet shout-out to Song.
“Lastly, but not least, I’d like to thank Brenda. You’re absolutely everything. You’re my champion,” he gushed of Song. “You’re the only person happier for me today than I am. You’re not only the best woman I’ve known, you’re the best person I’ve ever known.”
Now, as Song begins her second act, she recalled Culkin thinking she was “insane” for believing the best of her career was behind her. As she prepared for the change, Song parted ways with her managers and publicist.
“Family life is the most important thing,” she told Bustle, “but I’ve always said to be the best parent, the best partner, I have to be the best me. And a huge part of that is work. I have to be able to honor that.”
When host Jimmy Kimmel asked Gomez, 32, on the Monday, January 6, episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! whether Blanco, 36, asked Short, 74, and Martin, 79, for permission to propose — the Emilia Pérez actress confirmed her fiancé did not.
Gomez quipped that she “had a feeling” that Short “wasn’t very happy about that.” She added, “He just gave us a little bit of jokes here and there.”
While at the 2025 Golden Globes on Sunday, January 5, Short was seen playing with Gomez’s ring at the table. “He’s twisting it. Taking it off,” Gomez explained while the clip played on the late night show. “I wasn’t sure what he was doing. That’s why I look confused.”
“Is he appraising it? What exactly is he up to there?” Kimmel asked, to which Gomez replied, “He just wanted to know what was going on. I don’t think he cared. Maybe he had a little [to drink].”
As for Martin, Gomez received a congratulatory message. “Steve made sure he sent my assistant an email so my assistant could tell me congratulations,” Gomez said. “That’s how he communicates.”
When Kimmel asked whether Martin thinks he’s reaching out to Gomez, she replied, “Oh, that’s a good question. … He always tries to be polite. And it’s very kind, but it’s OK to send a little text.”
As for whether Martin and Short would be involved in the wedding in any capacity — even as ring bearers — Gomez laughed and said, “That would be adorable.”
Gomez announced her engagement in December 2024. “Forever begins now,” she wrote, to which Blanco replied in the comments section, “Hey wait … that’s my wife.”
The couple went public with their relationship in December 2023, with Gomez revealing that she and Blanco had been together for “six months” at that point.
“He is my absolute everything in my heart,” she gushed at the time. “He [has] been the best thing that’s ever happened to me. The end. … He’s still better than anyone I’ve been with. Facts.”
One month before sharing news of their engagement, Gomez gushed over their connection and called the relationship “the safest [she has] ever felt.”
“I see a future with this person. And when you put a little bit out there, people are not as hungry to hunt you down,” Gomez told The Hollywood Reporter in November 2024. “Like, if they hear something, they’re going to, but if you’re like, ‘I did it,’ they’re like, ‘Oh, well there’s you, just going to Sushi Park.’ But there’s so much of my relationship people don’t see, that’s just mine.”
Ruby Franke rose to fame while documenting her family’s daily life on her YouTube channel in 2015, some of it controversial.
After facing backlash for some of her parenting choices, Ruby stopped her “8 Passengers” channel and went on to launch ConneXions with mentor Jodi Hildebrant in 2022. In August 2023, Franke was arrested on two counts of aggravated child abuse. She and Hildebrant have since pleaded guilty and were both sentenced to four consecutive prison terms.
In January 2025, Franke’s eldest daughter, Shari, told her side of the story in her book, “The House of My Mother: A Daughter’s Quest for Freedom.” The memoir detailed her mother’s alleged abuse that occurred throughout Shari’s childhood. (Ruby shares kids Shari, Chad, Abby, Julie, Russell and Eve with husband Kevin Franke, who filed for divorce after her arrest.)
“When I was younger, around, like, five-six, Ruby was really physical,” Shari, now in her early 20s, told Good Morning America at the time. “Whether it was like a slap to the lip or a slap to the cheek … when I would practice the piano, her hand would slam and it was really scary.”
When asked whether there is anything she would tell Ruby today, Shari said, “Probably tell her I’m happy without you. I was scared of her for so long, and I am here without her approval, and I am just fine.”

When Was Ruby Arrested?
Ruby was arrested in August 2023 on two counts of aggravated child abuse after one of her sons escaped out of a window of the Utah home of Hildebrant. The son went to a neighbor’s home, asking for food and water. Per authorities, the child had duct tape on his ankles and wrists and was malnourished.

Ruby pleaded guilty to four counts of child abuse in December 2023, describing the “physical torture.” Ruby agreed to serve a prison term and that her sentences would run consecutively, as part of the plea deal. Ruby also testified against Hildebrant, who pleaded guilty.
When Was Ruby Sentenced?
Ruby was sentenced in February 2024 to four consecutive prison terms, which could range from one to 15 years each. Hildebrant received the same sentencing.
While addressing the court before her sentencing, Ruby said her charges are “just.” She added,
“They offer safety to my family, accountability to the public.” Ruby claimed she had been “led to believe” that the world was an “evil place” and thanked officials who rescued her children.
Shari wrote in her January 2025 book that Hildebrant moved into the family’s home in 2022, with Kevin moving out shortly after. Shari claimed that the alleged abuse became more psychological — instead of physical — when Hildebrant became a part of the family’s life.
“I certainly got weird vibes from Jodi and Ruby,” Shari told Good Morning America at the time, noting that Ruby was “secretive” about the relationship with Hildebrandt. “I don’t think it’s normal at all that a therapist would move in to your client’s home … I was moving out to college, I hadn’t even left the house yet, and she is in my room and in my bed.”
In the book, Shari claimed she found messages on Ruby’s laptop after their arrest. She wrote, “Ruby, expressing her frustration about having to cater to Jodi’s needs for physical affection without getting anything in return.”
Ruby told Good Morning America that she was “not sure” whether Ruby and Hildebrant’s relationship was romantic. (Before her February 2024 sentencing, Ruby said in a statement in court that Hildebrant was “never” her business partner. Ruby claimed Hildebrant was “employed as my son’s counselor, in 2019 and in 2020, I paid her to be my mentor.”)
Did Any of Ruby’s Kids Reach Out to Authorities Before Her Arrest?
Shari claimed that she contacted authorities about the alleged abuse on multiple occasions. The Utah Division of Child and Family Services declined to comment on Shari’s claims in a statement to ABC News.
“The Utah Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) works with children and families during some of their most vulnerable moments. DCFS respects that each child and family has a right to privacy and remains firm in our commitment to that privacy for the children and families of Utah,” the statement read. “DCFS affirms law enforcement reports of our involvement in the Franke case. However, in order to protect the integrity of the necessary working relationships with those we serve, and to respect the privacy of children and families, DCFS will continue its practice and refrain from sharing specific information on a case, past or present. Utah law requires any person with reason to believe that a child has been subjected to abuse, neglect, or dependency to report it to DCFS or a local law enforcement agency. The 24/7 abuse and neglect hotline is 855-323-3237.”
What Has Ruby’s Family Said About Her Arrest?
Ruby’s sisters condemned her action in a joint August 2023 Instagram statement. “For the last three years, we have kept quiet on the subject of our sister Ruby Franke for the sake of her children. Behind the public scene, we have done everything we could to try and make sure the kids were safe,” Ellie Mecham, Julie Griffiths Deru and Bonnie Hoellein wrote. “Ruby was arrested which needed to happen. Jodi was arrested which needed to happen. The kids are now safe, which is the No. 1 priority.”
In August 2024, Chad acknowledged the anniversary of Ruby’s arrest. “Happy Prisonversary,” he wrote in a Snapchat.
While recalling her childhood to Good Morning America in January 2025, Shari got candid about not wanting to resemble her mom in any way. “Sometimes I’ll, see myself in the mirror and I’m like, “Oh, my gosh, I look like her,’ or ‘I sound like her,’ but I don’t wanna be anything like her,” Shari said.
Shari claimed that she doesn’t think her mom can “fully comprehend the guilt” of what she pleaded guilty to. “I think that she’s as sorry as she can be,” Shari said. “What she has done is so bad that I don’t think her mind allows her to kind of fully comprehend the guilt of all that. And so I think that she probably genuinely believed everything she said. I don’t believe it though.”
While moving forward, Shari said she is trying to rebuild her relationship with her father and siblings. She noted that she has been struggling with the idea of forgiveness.
“Forgiveness is something I’ve had to study a lot and kind of think about what it means,” she said. “But for me, forgiveness would look like not letting that consume every moment of my life and all of my thoughts. I am just trying to move on with my life and trust that things are gonna work out the way they’re supposed to.”
Where Does Ruby Stand With Ex-Husband Kevin?
Kevin’s attorney Randy Kester told Today in a September 2023 statement that the pair had been separated “at Ruby’s directive” for 13 months. He added that “Kevin did not want to be separated.”
“He wanted to work through concerns as a family,” Kester said. “There was never any formal, written decree of separate maintenance or separation agreement. The separation was under terms proscribed by Ruby and Jodi Hildebrandt.”
Ruby and Kevin began marital counseling in 2021 with Hildebrant. Kester told People that Hildebrant suggested the twosome separate. He went on to file for divorce in November 2023.
Shortly before Ruby’s sentencing in February 2024, Kester said in a statement to Law & Crime, “The treatment these children received at the hands of those whom the children had a right to trust, was horrific and inhumane, both physically and psychologically. Kevin remains focused on the rehabilitation of these sweet and vulnerable children so that they might return to a normal life as soon as possible.”
Kevin told ABC News in a January 2025 statement, “I am incredibly proud of Shari for the woman she has become and for her strength. She has played and will continue to play a crucial role in the healing of our family. I am grateful for her example and learn a lot from her vulnerability and courage. She has a powerful voice and will make a positive impact in this world. I love my daughter.”
Are Ruby’s Kids Advocating for Change?
Shari addressed Utah lawmakers in October 2024 about the “dangers” of parents using their children online for monetary gain.
“When children become stars in their family’s online content, they become child influencers,” she said in testimony during a Utah Senate committee hearing, per ABC News. “It is more than just filming your family life and putting it online. It is a full time job, with employees, business credit cards, managers, and marketing strategies.”
Shari called for greater restrictions of family vlogging, specifically when children are too young for consent. “There is no such thing as a moral or ethical family vlogger,” she said.
What Has the Franke Family Said About the Lifetime Movie About Them?
Lifetime released Mormon Mom Gone Wrong: The Ruby Franke Story in October 2024, starring Emilie Ullerup as Ruby and Heather Locklear as Hildebrandt.
Ahead of the movie’s release, Shari released a statement. “A note about the Lifetime movie coming out about my family: I saw the trailer suddenly in class and had an anxiety attack,” she wrote via her Instagram Story. “None of us were contacted about the movie.”
She continued: “This movie is trash and only hurts my siblings more. None of the proceeds are going to the kids. Please do not support this movie.” Us Weekly reached out to Lifetime at the time.

“We have de facto separate toilets,” Brody, 45, told Access Hollywood at the 2025 Golden Globes on Sunday, January 5. “I go in the office. It’s nice. One layer farther away from the kids and one layer more deep with privacy.”
Meester, 38, appeared confused by her husband’s remark. “I just put no thought into the toilet situation whatsoever,” she said. “Never crossed my mind.”
Meester attended the awards show at The Beverly Hilton in celebration of Brody, who was nominated for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Series, Comedy for his role in Nobody Wants This. Brody ultimately lost the award to The Bear’s Jeremy Allen White. (A Man on the Inside’s Ted Danson, Only Murders in the Building’s Steve Martin and Martin Short and Shrinking’s Jason Segel were also nominated for the award.)
While reflecting on his nomination, Brody recalled receiving the news while with Meester. “I received calls, but I don’t honestly remember calling anyone. We were in bed together, so that was nice. I don’t think I called anyone,” Brody said when asked who was the first person he reached out to via phone.
Before Brody earned the nod for his performance, Meester weighed in on whether she thought the show would be successful prior to its release.
“I mean, I don’t know if I’m one to say,” she said. “I feel like we watched it together before it came out and I was like, ‘It works. It works. It’s so good.’ And you’re like, ‘Yeah, yeah.’ … I think there’s no way to know, especially with streaming now you kind of can’t tell. And then it came out and it was like, ‘Alright.’”
After watching the show, Meester called Brody’s kiss with costarKristen Bell “great.” Brody, for his part, said Meester “taught me.” He added, “She gets the good stuff, that’s not even like the A-material.”
Brody and Meester tied the knot in February 2014 and welcomed daughter Arlo, 9, and a son, 4, whose name has not been revealed. While the pair have kept their romance largely out of the public eye, Brody shared a rare glimpse into their relationship one month before the Golden Globes.
“Despite the state of the world, I feel like I’m living my best life,” he told British magazine Stylist in December 2024. “I have a beautiful, dreamy family life. I have a good work-life balance and get to spend a lot of time with my kids. I’m in that really great period of middle age where I’m old enough to have seniority and work security but also still have enough of my body to be active and do all the things I want to. I’m a lucky guy.”
“We were very sad to get the news about Paige and Craig, I have to say,” Cohen, 56, said on the Monday, January 6, episode of his Radio Andy.
Cohen noted that both DeSorbo, 32, and Conover, 35, are “in the middle of an incredible amount of success.”
“He’s just opened a restaurant in Charleston. He’s got this business, he’s got a store in Nashville, he’s got a place in Charleston,” Cohen said. “And then she is absolutely, like, murdering it. Killing it.”
Ahead of the former Bravo couple’s separation, Cohen recalled attending a premiere party for Conover’s Southern Charm — and DeSorbo wasn’t there.
“I was at the Southern Charm premiere party. She wasn’t there at his place in New York. There have been a few events where she hasn’t — you know, she’s so busy — and I just think the more and more that starts to happen, you know, you worry that it causes a strain or whatever,” he said. “I mean, listen, we still don’t totally know [or] have a reason, so more to come on that.”
Cohen noted that “everyone” loved DeSorbo and Conover before wondering who would take their spot as the next it couple of the network. “Who’s the first couple of Bravo now? I mean, they were really the first couple of Bravo. We were rooting for them,” he said, adding that it’s “an open position.”
Shortly before the New Year, the Summer House star shared in December 2024 that she and Conover had called it quits after three years of dating.
“Craig and I have decided to no longer be together,” DeSorbo said during her and Hannah Berner’s “Giggly Squad” podcast. “I love him, I think he loves me. I think we will remain friends.”
DeSorbo noted that “no one did anything.” She added, It wasn’t a bad thing. I think we both were just being really mature and saying what we want and what we didn’t want, and I think that’s extremely powerful to be able to voice how you’re feeling in real time and what you want for your future.”
Conover and DeSorbo shared differing viewpoints on their future, a source exclusively told Us Weekly. While Conover wanted to tie the knot and have kids, DeSorbo wasn’t in a rush to walk down the aisle.
“Craig was ready for the next steps and had plans to propose to Paige. He was really pushing for the next steps and wanted to settle down with her,” an insider told Us in December 2024, explaining that the pair’s long distance romance was providing a roadblock for their next step.
As the twosome navigates the future, a separate source told Us earlier this month that DeSorbo and Conover are handling the separation “maturely.” The insider noted that the Southern Charm star “has said he definitely misses her” and it’s been “a hard transition emotionally so far.” For now, the source told Us that the former couple “haven’t cut all communication off yet.”
Several stars are taking the next step in their relationship in 2025 by making things official with their significant other.
Days after the New Year, Zendaya sparked engagement speculation when she was spotted on the 2025 Golden Globes red carpet with a ring on her left hand. While inside the awards show ceremony on January 5, the Challengers star continued to wear the jewelry as she posed for pictures — despite taking off her Bulgari necklace.
Rumors were further fueled when the Los Angeles Times reported that Zendaya “kept showing her ring, smiled coyly and shrugged her shoulders mysteriously” after being asked about her relationship status with Tom Holland. (The actor did not attend the awards show.)
One day later, a source confirmed to Us Weekly that Holland had popped the question to Zendaya years after meeting on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016.
“Sweetheart, I’m not mad you borrowed it but I didn’t totally realize you were going to change the col…” Hathaway, 42, wrote via Instagram on Monday, January 6. “Anyway, not important, congrats on your well deserved nom for The Apprentice!!! ”
Alongside the caption, Hathaway shared a side-by-side picture of her wearing a gray bucket hat in 2001’s The Princess Diaries next to Strong in a green version at the awards show on Sunday, January 5.
Strong and Hathway are friends, previously starring in 2019’s Serenity and 2022’s Armageddon Time, where they played husband and wife.
Strong, 46, turned heads on the red carpet at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles when he rocked a mint green velvet bucket hat and matching suit from Loro Piana. Underneath the suit, Strong wore a white turtleneck and paired the look with mint green sunglasses, a neutral wristwatch and black shoes.
The Succession star attended the awards show with his wife, Emma Wall. Rather than matching Strong’s green, Wall stunned in a dainty white sleeveless floor-length gown.
Fans quickly weighed in on Strong’s look. “gotta say i love how jeremy strong always skips the boring black/navy suit and tie, never let em know your next move king,” one user wrote via X, while another added, “i can spot this diva anywhere.”
Strong was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Roy Cohn in the film The Apprentice, but lost the award to his former Succession costar Kieran Culkin. (Gladiator II’s Denzel Washington, The Brutalist’s Guy Pearce, Anora’s Yura Borisov and A Complete Unknown’s Edward Norton were also nominated in the category.)
After learning about his nomination, Strong reflected on the nod. “I was sort of prepared for the film to be overlooked, given the way it’s been going … So it is just indescribably meaningful to me that the Globes recognized the film on the grounds of its artistry and as a film,” Strong said in a December 2024 statement to the Associated Press.
He continued, “I think this has been a real battle from the get-go to get it made, but even more so to get it seen. And to sort of convince the industry that it was worthy of being seen. It’s a human and archetypal story that could not possibly be more relevant or essential to the moment that we are living through.”
Prior to Sunday’s award show, Strong had previously been nominated twice. He was a first-time nominee in 2021 for Best Actor – Television Series Drama for his role of Kendall Roy in Succession. He ultimately won the award that year and beat out costar Brian Cox.
Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer is engaged to Katarina Miketin.
The model, 43, announced via Instagram on Friday, January 3, that Zimmer, 68, popped the question. The celebratory social media post was set to George Strait’s “I Cross My Heart.”
“Five years ago they told us we needed to meet…God knew what He was doing. I thank Him for you, my best friend…so, of course,” Miketin, 42, wrote in the caption. “I said Yes!”
The post included a series of photos of Miketin showing off her engagement ring alongside images of the pair posing with a horse and having dinner.
Zimmer’s upcoming nuptials will mark his second walk down the aisle — he previously tied the knot with wife Vikki, who died of natural causes in October 2009, per the Minnesota Star Tribune. “She was the sweetest, kindest, most caring person who’d never say a bad word about anybody,” Zimmer told ESPN.com after her death.
Years later, Zimmer’s son Adam was found dead in his home at age 38 in October 2022. According to the Associated Press, Minnesota’s Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office cited his cause of death as chronic alcohol use. At the time, Zimmer and Adam were months removed from being fired by the Minnesota Vikings.
Zimmer opened up about his son’s mindset prior to his passing in an interview with the Minnesota Star Tribune in September 2024. “He loved football so much and he was telling me his career was ruined because he got fired,” Zimmer said. “It tore him up. I told him everybody gets fired in this job, but it was hard on him.”
After taking a break from coaching in 2022 and 2023, Zimmer returned when the Cowboys called — and he admitted he’s “having fun again.” (Zimmer previously served as a defensive coach for the Cowboys from 1994 to 2006.)
“The shame is Adam would have loved being here helping us put this defense together in Dallas,” he said. “[Long-time confidante] Paul Guenther is here with me. I kept thinking, ‘Man, I wish Adam was here with us.’ He was so smart. When I can’t remember something or get stuck, Adam could tell me exactly what I was thinking.”
He added, “So, it’s been tough. But it helps getting around the players again. We joke around. I tease them, they tease me. Like the old days.”

Hollywood’s TV and film stars got their flowers at the 2025 Golden Globes — but not all of the best moments were seen by fans.
While walking the red carpet ahead of the Sunday, January 5, awards ceremony, Kerry Washington and her husband, Nnamdi Asomugha, enjoyed a rare date night. She stopped along the way to talk and take photos with award-winning actress and advocate Lilly Singh, and the pair sweetly embraced.
Selena Gomez, meanwhile, strolled the carpet without fiancéBenny Blanco, but instead walked with fellow nominee Mikey Madison. “They looked like good friends and were excited to see each other,” an eyewitness exclusively told Us Weekly.
Gomez met up with her love inside the event and was spotted standing up and cheering for her Emilia Pérez costar Zoe Saldaña , who took home the award for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture. (Gomez was nominated for the same award.)
While Saldaña appeared in the press room after receiving the award, Blanco came backstage to support Gomez — who appeared emotional at the actress’ speech.
“I’m happy. I’m 46. There was a moment years ago when I was thinking about plan Bs but the truth is I’m an artist,” Saldaña said, while holding back tears. While reflecting on the win, Saldaña gushed over her Avatar director James Cameron believing in her — and said he texted to congratulate her after her win.

LaPaglia stunned on the red carpet in a gold sparkly dress while walking with her “BFFs” podcast cohost Josh Richards. “She seemed to be in great spirits and was happily mingling on the carpet,” an eyewitness told Us.
The Fannings’ Family Night — And a Ripping Dress
Dakota and Elle Fanning had a “cute sister moment” while walking the red carpet together — but people were stepping on the eldest sister’s dress. “She was a good sport about it but you could hear ripping,” an eyewitness told Us.
The Lookalikes
Months after winning a Timothée Chalamet and Glen Powell lookalike contest in October 2024 and November 2024, respectively, the doppelgängers walked the red carpet and posed for photos with their star counterparts. Powell stood with his winner “for a while, smiling and laughing,” an eyewitness said.
Angelia Jolie’s ‘Happy’ Outing
Days after finalizing her divorce from Brad Pitt, Jolie walked the red carpet with eldest daughter Zahara, 19. The Maria star “had a huge smile” on her face and “looked really happy,” an eyewitness said.
The Bucket Hat
Jeremy Strong turned heads when he stepped onto the carpet wearing a mint green velvet bucket hat and matching suit from Loro Piana. The former Succession star “looked like he absolutely loved his green suit outfit,” and “stopped to pose several times for cameras and had someone take iPhone photos of him,” the eyewitness said, adding that “he was feeling himself.”
Johnson “had a huge crowd” surrounding him and his daughter while walking the red carpet. “He made sure to take selfies with randoms on the carpet and looked very friendly,” an eyewitness told Us, adding that he spotted The Last Showgirl’s Pamela Anderson and the pair sweetly embraced while chatting.
Miley Cyrus’ Solo Stroll
Cyrus walked the red carpet while wearing sunglasses and “looked really happy to be out,” an eyewitness said, adding that “she had a huge smile.”
Adam Sandler Being a Mood
Sandler and his wife, Jackie Sandler, hit the carpet while he sipped from a bottle of Moët champagne. “He was a total mood,” an eyewitness said.
Nearly two years after surviving a serious health scare, Foxx walked with his two daughters on the red carpet. Foxx “looked really healthy and in good spirits” while smiling and “seemed to be in a great mood,” an eyewitness said.
Colin Farrell’s Gratitude
After winning Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Limited Series, Anthology Series or Motion Picture Made for Television, ThePenguin star gushed that he didn’t feel pride — but gratitude.
Farrell called it “special” to be in the same company as Heath Ledger and Joaquin Phoenix as the only superhero character winners at the Globes. “To have your name just uttered in the same sentence as those performances, honestly, it’s lovely, but still I’m more of just a fan of it all! I don’t feel like I’m part of that pantheon. Joaquin and Heath, just two extraordinary and honest great actors.”
While walking out, the Globes PR team took his award and he quipped, “See, it’s all bulls—.”
While taking home the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series, Comedy, Smart joked that she had no future plans to do standup comedy unless the Hacks writers were behind it. An eyewitness told Us that Smart was “really quiet and let the Hacks writers do all the talking.”
Jodie Foster Gushes Over Sons
Foster seemed “happy and content” after winning Best Performance by a Female Actor, Limited Series, Anthology Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television. Foster was joined by son Christopher “Kit” Bernard Foster in the press room.
The True Detective: Night Country star said the best advice she gave her son, 26, about acting is to “be yourself” and “let things happen and not continually try to control like I did for the first 55 years of my life.” (Foster’s son Charles “Charlie” Bernard Foster has followed in her footsteps.)
“My sons are teaching me how to play,” she said, adding that “this is the most contented moment of my career. I never would’ve known that but something happened when I turned 60.”
Demi Moore’s Glow
Moore reflected in the press room on her win for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy, saying that she’s had a “subtle shift” to focus on “all that you are” and not “all that you’re not.”
“If we have enough self love, the world will follow,” she said, adding that she wants to stay “present in this moment” and “be in the joy of what [the win] is.” The Substance star noted that she agrees with Foster about turning 60 and finding freedom.
“I do think, as a woman, as we get older, we also, a lot of our energy in particular, as mothers or in caretaking, has gone outward, and it’s a time when we can actually stop and bring that energy back to ourselves, and it feels pretty damn good,” said Moore, described as “glowing” by an eyewitness.
With reporting by Amanda Williams and Mariel Turner
The Challengers actress, 28, walked the red carpet solo on Sunday, January 5, while wearing a custom Louis Vuitton gown and Bulgari jewelry. On her left hand, Zendaya sported a diamond ring — sparking rumors she’s engaged to boyfriend Tom Holland. While inside the ceremony, Zendaya changed into a white dress and posed for a photo with Ayo Edebiri — and was still sporting the diamond ring but not the Bulgari necklace. Us Weekly reached out to her rep for comment.
Zendaya was nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for her role as Tashi Duncan in Challengers. She lost the award to Demi Moore, who starred in The Substance. (Nightbitch’s Amy Adams,Wicked’s Cynthia Erivo, Emilia Pérez’s Karla Sofía Gascón and Anora’s Mikey Madison were also competing in that category.)
Zendaya and Holland, 28, met while working on Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016, taking their romance public five years later when they were spotted packing on the PDA in his car. After their relationship was confirmed, a source exclusively told Us that Zendaya and Holland’s friendship played a pivotal role in taking their connection a step further.
“Zendaya and Tom started off as really great friends and stayed that way for a long while before things turned romantic,” the insider shared, adding they “work really well together because he makes her laugh and she really helps guide him through the world of celebrity.”
They have since shared sweet glimpses of their relationship through the years. After being asked in February 2024 who from the Dune cast had the best “rizz,” Zendaya gave a sweet shout-out to Holland.
“I don’t know. Rizz is short for charisma, right? Everybody’s kind of got their own,” Zendaya told Buzzfeed. “I think someone who has beautiful charisma, not on the Dune cast, but personally works for me, is Mr. Tom Holland.”
While reflecting on their romance, Zendaya pointed out that she and Holland have different personalities — which has benefited their relationship.
“I’m more shy and kind of quiet,” she explained. “So it takes a bit more to pull me out of my shell. But he’s great at just talking to people, getting to know people. He’s just naturally very good at that. I’ve definitely had to pull it out of me a little bit. He’s got that natural gift.”
Ahead of the holidays, Holland revealed on “The Dish” podcast that he was excited to spend time with “my girlfriend’s family.”
“I think what we’d like to start doing, rather than spending it with each family each year, is bring the families together,” Holland said. “That’s what I think we want to do next time, ’cause we’re both actors, we’re both terrible at organizing things, so it hasn’t happened yet.”
When they’re not together, Holland noted that he’s supporting Zendaya from afar. During an interview with Men’s Health earlier this month, Holland explained that he doesn’t typically walk a red carpet with Zendaya “because it’s not my moment, it’s her moment, and if we go together, it’s about us.”
Stone, 36, stunned at the Sunday, January 5, awards show in a strapless red gown with a matching belt at the waist while rocking her new hairstyle. She walked the red carpet with her husband, Dave McCary. (Stone and McCary, 39, tied the knot in 2020 and welcomed daughter Louise the following year.)
To create the look, Stone collaborated with longtime stylist and OLAPLEX Global Ambassador Tracey Cunningham, who described the current cut as “like Mia Farrow.” Cunningham added in a statement to Us Weekly, “She basically has no hair. It’s super short, and she’s going to have it cut again, so it’ll be even shorter.” Cunningham noted that the color was “auburn, a smidge darker than her usual color. I call it ‘Nutmeg.’”
Fans previously speculated that Stone may have had a hair transformation when she attended the 2024 New York Film Festival in October 2024. In a clip shared via X, Stone could be seen adjusting what appeared to be a wig on her head after hugging Kieran Culkin’s wife, Jazz Charton.
“I’m so intrigued by why Emma Stone is wearing a wig at NYFF,” one user wrote via X.
The rumors were fueled the following day when photos began circulating online of Stone wearing a tight beanie — without her previous long locks visible — while in New York City on the set of Yorgos Lanthimos’ new movie, Bugonia.
The film, which stars Stone and Jesse Plemons, is a remake of the 2003 movie Save the Green Planet! Per The Hollywood Reporter, Bugonia “tells the story of two conspiracy theory-obsessed protagonists who kidnap a CEO of a major pharmaceutical company, convinced that he is an alien out to destroy the planet.” Bugonia is set to hit theaters in November 2025.
Stone has previously collaborated with Lanthimos in 2018’s The Favourite, 2023’s Poor Things and Kinds of Kindness, which was released in June 2024. While promoting Kinds of Kindness, Stone made headlines when she playfully corrected Lanthimos when he told a reporter she went by “Emma.”
Stone previously revealed that her name was Emily upon birth — but she changed it to Emma when she started acting because there was another Emily Stone working for SAG-AFTRA. Stone chose the name as a nod to Emma Bunton.
“Growing up, I was super blonde, and my real name is Emily, but I wanted to be called Emma because of Baby Spice and guess what? Now I am,” Stone previously said during a 2018 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “It wasn’t necessarily because of her but yes, in second grade, did I go up to the teacher on the first day and ask her to call me Emma? Yes, I did, and was it because of Emma Lee Bunton from the Spice Girls? Yes, it was.”
“Yup we are a real couple … This [is] how we like our temperatures,” Chapple, 60, wrote via his Instagram Story on Saturday, January 4.
Alongside the text, Chapple uploaded an image of the temperatures inside a car. On one side, the temperature was set to 63 degrees, while the other side — which Chapple notated was Vassos’ — the temp was a balmy 84 degrees.
Vassos, 61, replied to Chapple’s snap by reposting the image to her own Instagram Stories on Saturday and writing, “Maybe I should steal some of his socks to keep my feet warm in the car…” (Earlier that day, Vassos uploaded an image of numerous pairs of socks joking that Chapple had 364 matches.)
While the pair navigates each other’s living habits, Vassos and Chapple exclusively told Us Weekly that they are splitting their time in their respective hometowns of Maryland and Kansas — and are also going apartment hunting in New York City.
“This first year, obviously, we have to kind of figure out life. Chock has a business in Kansas. I have kids and grandkids and Maryland. I’m not leaving Maryland, but he does have obligations in Kansas,” Joan told Us in November 2024. “We know that we’re gonna spend time in Maryland and in Kansas, but then we have this really fun plan because both of us have always dreamed — and we’re finally at this weird stage in life for making this dream come true — that we live in a big city, and, specifically, we’ve always wanted to live in New York. So Chock surprised me and said, ‘I want us to go find a place.’”
Vassos, who got engaged to Chapple during the finale of The Golden Bachelorette season 1, told Us that she “never in a million years” thought she would feel “love like this again.” (She was previously married to John Vassos, who died in 2019 from cancer.)
“Living life in your golden years is special. You’re not responsible for raising a family anymore or for a business. You get to really enjoy life. Travel is important to us. One day buying a home together,” she shared in an Us cover story. “After John passed away, I felt like my future was this black hole. And now it just looks so bright. The possibilities are endless for us. Which is a weird thing to say at this age, but I do feel that way.”
