The Abbott Elementary cast traded the classroom for a night out at the 2025 Golden Globes — although the beloved show did not add to its collection of awards this time.
The cast arrived at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 5, for the 82nd iteration of the award show, celebrating their two nominations. The ABC series earned a nod for Best Television Series — Musical or Comedy while the show’s creator and star Quinta Brunson was up for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series — Comedy.
Brunson, 35, ultimately lost to Jean Smart for her performance on Hacks. Later in the evening, Abbott Elementary lost Best Television Series — Musical or Comedy to Hacks.
In the best comedy category, Abbott Elementary faced some tough competition from Hacks, Only Murders in the Building, Nobody Wants This, The Gentlemen and The Bear. This is Abbott’s third year being nominated in the category, previously taking home the coveted prize in 2023. At last year’s ceremony, The Bear won.
Sunday also marked the third time Brunson, 35, received a nod for her portrayal of Janine Teagues. This year, she was recognized alongside Kristen Bell (Nobody Wants This), Ayo Edebiri (The Bear), Selena Gomez (Only Murders in the Building), Kathryn Hahn (Agatha All Along) and Jean Smart (Hacks). Brunson won the Golden Globe in 2023 as a first-time nominee. She was also nominated last year but lost to Edebiri.
None of Abbott’s supporting cast were nominated for a Golden Globe this year. Janelle James and Sheryl Lee Ralph were both up for Best Supporting Actress in a Television Series – Comedy/Musical or Drama in 2023 but lost to Julia Garner for Ozark. Tyler James Williams, who plays Bruson’s love interest, Gregory Eddie, won Best Supporting Actor in a Television Series – Comedy/Musical or Drama in 2023 as a first-time nominee.
Since Abbott’s first Golden Globe win for its inaugural season, the sitcom has come a long way. Fans got their wish as Janine and Gregory became a couple in season 3. Following its October 2024 premiere, season 4 has brought a lot of laughs and is prepared to deliver more in a highly anticipated crossover with It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
“I think it’s very cool,” Brunson exclusively told Us Weekly of the special event. “I think it’s unexpected and I think that it’ll be like a delight to the audience of both shows. You know, I think it’ll be very exciting for the people who watch our shows. And if they watch one show and not the other, I think that’s cool too because it’ll make people interested in that show. I’m just excited about it and I think it’s just a fun way to shake up TV.”
For the 2023 ceremony, Butler brought his sister, Ashley Butler, as his date for the special occasion, instead of walking the red carpet with girlfriend Kaia Gerber. At the ceremony, the Elvis star earned his first-ever win for his portrayal of the late music legend, beating out Brendan Fraser, Hugh Jackman, Bill Nighy and Jeremy Pope.
Gomez, for her part, was accompanied by little sister Gracie to the January 2023 awards show, where they walked the red carpet together. The former Disney star was nominated for her role in Only Murders in the Building.
The 2022 ceremony wasn’t televised, but the Golden Globes hosted a virtual event one year prior due to the coronavirus pandemic. In 2021, Jason Bateman, Mark Ruffalo, Kate Hudson and other stars enjoyed the festivities at home with their broods nearby for moral support.

Strong, 46, stepped out on the red carpet ahead of the Sunday, January 5, ceremony at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. The Succession star opted for a mint green velvet bucket hat and matching suit from Loro Piana.
In addition to the complimentary blazer and trousers, Strong wore a cozy white turtleneck. He completed the look with matching mint green sunglasses, a neutral wristwatch and black shoes.
Strong attended the Golden Globes alongside his wife, Emma Wall. The couple walked the red carpet and posed for photos together. Unlike Strong’s bold look, Hall kept it chic in a dainty white sleeveless floor-length gown.
Strong is up for one award tonight. He is nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Roy Cohn in the film The Apprentice. After learning the news about his nomination, Strong had an emotional reaction.
“I was sort of prepared for the film to be overlooked, given the way it’s been going … So it is just indescribably meaningful to me that the Globes recognized the film on the grounds of its artistry and as a film,” Strong said in a December 2024 statement to the Associated Press. “I think this has been a real battle from the get-go to get it made, but even more so to get it seen. And to sort of convince the industry that it was worthy of being seen. It’s a human and archetypal story that could not possibly be more relevant or essential to the moment that we are living through.”

Strong continued: “I’m just happy because I think this means more people will see the movie, which has been the only goal. If you want to understand where America is in 2024, a lot of it points to Roy Cohn and his influence on Donald Trump.”
The Apprentice, which is directed by Ali Abbasi, also stars Sebastian Stan who plays a young Donald Trump who is mentored by Cohn. Stan, 42, is also up for Best Actor.
This is Strong’s third Golden Globe nomination. The actor was a first-time nominee in 2021 for Best Actor – Television Series Drama for his role of Kendall Roy in Succession. Strong ended up taking home the trophy that year beating out his costar Brian Cox, Squid Games’ Lee Jung-jae, Billy Porter and Omar Sy.
At last year’s ceremony, Strong was nominated for a second time but lost to his Succession costar Kieran Culkin. His former costar is nominated against him again this year for his performance in A Real Pain.
Parvati Shallow is anxiously awaiting for the latest season of The White Lotus to premiere.
“I’m dying for season 3 of White Lotus to drop,” the former Survivor winner, 42, exclusively reveals to Us Weekly about her latest TV obsession.
The award-winning HBO anthology series, which was created by Mike White, follows a group of guests staying at the luxurious White Lotus resort. Each season focuses on a new set of characters staying at the hotel chain in different parts of the world. Before coming up with the idea of the series, White competed on Survivor in its David vs. Goliath season. In each season of The White Lotus, White has called on several of his fellow Survivor tribemates to make cameos in each season.
“How much longer are you going to make us wait, Mike White?” Shallow jokingly asks of her fellow Survivor alum.
Luckily, Shallow and other fans won’t have to wait for The White Lotus much longer as season 3 is scheduled to premiere on February 16 on HBO.
In addition to being enthralled with The White Lotus, Shallow is also obsessed with “The Handsome Podcast” and the book All Fours by Miranda July.
“It’s rare that a book grabs me like this one did,” the Traitors alum explains of the novel. “It’s weird, kinky, funny, sad and so smart. It hooks into female desire and creativity in the most bizarre and compelling way.”
As for blockbusters, Shallow and her daughter Ama, 6, were both impressed with the film adaptation of Wicked.
“I took my daughter to see Wicked and [she] was blown away by the absolute majesty of that movie!” Shallow says of her daughter whom she shares with ex-husband John Fincher. “The fashion, the colors, the magic, the singing, the sizzling chemistry. Everything popped off the screen and by the end I was flying on the back of that broom with my girl Elphie.”
When not watching TV or movies, Shallow also enjoys listening to singer Kendall Jane Meade.
“My girl Kendall Jane Meade recently released her post-divorce album. It’s folksy and hopeful,” Shallow shares of what’s on her playlist. “I know what it took for her to write and produce those songs. I’m so proud of her and I’m listening to it all the time!”
While fans couldn’t get enough of Shallow on season 2 of The Traitors last year, she’s making her return to reality TV for Deal or No Deal Island season 2. She’s following in the footsteps of fellow Survivor winner — and friend — Rob “Boston Rob” Mariano who came in fourth place on the inaugural season of the NBC competition series.

“I’m usually pretty good at holding my tongue, keeping my mouth shut … not saying anything, take s— from every which way and I feel like I don’t wanna today,” Cabral, 36, said in a lengthy Instagram video uploaded on Friday, January 3. “So in light of all the s— that’s been going down, I feel compelled to say if you guys only knew what it was like to be involved with this person while she’s berating me on how I treat people.”
Since joining the RHONJ cast in season 13, Cabral has had her fair share of ups and downs with Aydin, 47.. Most notably the women were at odds in season 14, which resulted in a physical altercation that subsequently got them both briefly suspended from filming.
In the Friday clip, Cabral shared that when she figures out a person’s true colors she doesn’t hesitate to cut them off.
“It broke my heart to know who people truly are and to see their true colors. Once I find that out done, bye, see you later,” she said. “And I guess it drove people insane that I’m so easily able to cut [people] out that they just spiraled and wanted to talk s—, and spew s—, and hatred and lies.”
While Cabral didn’t call out Aydin directly in the video, she was seemingly referring to the recent incident between Aydin and several Jersey Mike’s workers. The drama began when Aydin went on an Instagram Story rant about her alleged experience at a Jersey Mike’s location in an airport.
“They took our order and then they took the lady’s order that was after me but they fulfilled her order first somehow, made us wait,” Aydin claimed, calling out “the 80-year-old” working at the establishment. “Everything was slow. We’re not complaining. We get it, it’s early in the morning. You’re in a bad mood, it’s New Year’s, you’re working — I’d be pissed too.”
Cabral explained that since joining the Real Housewives franchise, she’s only tried to use her platform for “good.” However, she claimed that because “idiots” have “spread lies” about her, she’s been getting trolls in her comments section to this day spewing hate based on “false narratives” created by others.
“Imagine being a person who only looked out for people. I wanted everyone to succeed, even that asshole, even this schmuck with what she did the other day,” she continued. “A leopard never changes its spots. At the end of the day, the truth always comes out and [the] true colors of certain individuals always comes out. I will stand my ground until the day that I die, I will take the bullets from the nonsense these idiots spewed.”
Cabral added that when people meet her in real life they’re surprised that she’s nice, adding that she’s been advocating for her fellow Housewives to rethink how they act — especially in public.
“Let this be a testament of don’t always believe what you see on TV. I can’t [say I feel] vindicated by this since real people were hurt,” she said. “To see the people in this video, this woman who was working at 7 o’clock … I’m sure you all felt the same way but damn man we gotta do better.”
An apparent employee of the sandwich shop then posted a now-viral video responding with the fast food chain’s perspective of the interaction.
“I really hope this stupid bitch has TikTok,” the employee began in her post. “I really hope I come up on your For You Page bitch, I really hope you recognize me.”
The worker claimed that Aydin didn’t know what she wanted and ended up ordering “four different sandwiches” and “changing the bread last minute.” While the staff was attempting to fulfill the requests, Aydin allegedly started “backing up the entire line.” Workers then told the RHONJ star she needed to get back in line if she was going to add more sandwiches. (Us Weekly has reached out to Aydin’s team for comment.)
“She starts tweaking,” the employee claimed, alleging that Aydin said, “I’m a celebrity” and claimed she was going to sue. “She starts recording all of us and she posts it. … Learn how to order.”
Bijou Phillips found a second chance at love with Jamie Mazur shortly after her split from ex-husband Danny Masterson.
Us Weekly confirmed that Phillips filed for divorce from Masterson after 12 years of marriage in September 2023. The news broke less than a month after the That ‘70s Show alum was found guilty of two counts of forcible rape for incidents that occurred in the early 2000s.
Masterson, who has vehemently denied the allegations, was sentenced to 30 years in prison. While Masterson was on trial, Phillips remained by his side. The exes share daughter Fianna, whom they welcomed in February 2014.
In June 2024, Us confirmed that Phillips had moved on from Masterson with Mazur. According to a source, Phillps and Mazur had known each other for quite some time as the actress was friends with his former fiancée Alessandra Ambrosio. (Mazur and the model, who split in 2018, share daughter Anja and son Noah.)
“Jamie and Bijou have run in the same social circles for many years,” the insider exclusively told Us of the pair’s romance. “Bijou was friends with Alessandra many years ago and that’s how they knew each other.”

A source exclusively told Us in June 2024 that Phillips and Mazur had been dating for the “last two months,” and that the twosome are “very affectionate all the time.” The insider added that Mazur was supportive of Phillips as she navigated her ups and downs with Masterson.
“Jamie is a great guy and has been there for her through this difficult time,” the source explained.

Phillips and Mazur made their relationship official during their first public appearance together at a Pride event. The couple stepped out at a Pride Month party hosted by Alice + Olivia in New York City. While they did not walk the red carpet together, they shared some sweet moments at the event.
“Bijou and Jamie arrived [at] the party together,” an onlooker exclusively told Us. “Jamie escorted her onto the red carpet and then looked on smiling before they entered the party together.”
The eyewitness added that Phillips and Mazur “looked like an adorable couple” as they packed on the PDA while watching pal Paris Hilton take the stage.

Mazur and Phillips’ romance was going strong in the New Year as they enjoyed a date night at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles per People.
The couple made headlines in 2020 when they officially announced their plans to step away from their roles as senior working members of the royal family. That same year, Harry and Meghan created their nonprofit organization, the Archewell Foundation. The goal of the charity is to “uplift and unite communities, both local and global, online and offline,” per the website.
The following year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex confirmed that their decision to step down as working royals was permanent. In March 2021, they moved to the United States to raise their children, Archie and Lilibet.
In addition to their charitable endeavors, the pair secured several business deals — including partnerships with Netflix and Spotify. In late 2020, Harry and Meghan signed a $20 million deal with the music streaming giant for their exclusive partnership with Archewell Audio.
The Suits alum’s first podcast series, “Archetypes,” debuted in August 2022 and was a hit among fans. It topped the leaderboard as the No. 1 podcast in the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Canada within days of its premiere. In the show’s first season, Meghan sat down with a series of A-list guests including Mariah Carey, Serena Williams, Paris Hilton, Andy Cohen and more.
Despite the massive success of Meghan’s podcast, the project was not renewed for a second season. In June 2023, the duo revealed that their deal with Spotify had come to an end after three years.

The pair founded their nonprofit organization Archewell shortly after stepping away from their roles as members of The Firm in early 2020. At the time of its creation, the charity’s website featured a note from Harry and Meghan explaining their goal for the organization.

In September 2020, Harry and Meghan signed a multi-year deal with Netflix to create original content including documentaries, movies, series and children’s programming. At the time, a source told Us that the duo were offered nearly $100 million for the partnership, which is titled Archewell Productions.
The first project released from their deal was their docuseries, Harry & Meghan. The six-part series gave viewers an inside look at the couple’s relationship from how they met to their infamous royal exit. The series debuted on the streaming service in December 2022.
After parting ways with Spotify in June 2023, rumors began to swirl that the pair’s deal with the streaming service was also on the rocks. However, a spokesperson for Netflix denied the claims, revealing that the company had plans to “continue to work together on a number of projects” with Harry and Meghan.
“We value our partnership with Archewell Productions. Harry & Meghan was Netflix’s biggest documentary debut ever, and we’ll continue to work together on a number of projects, including the upcoming documentary series Heart of Invictus,” Netflix told ET in a statement at the time.
The couple's other projects — Polo and With Love, Meghan — premiered in December 2024 and January 2025, respectively.
In addition to Netflix, Harry and Meghan signed a $20 million deal with the music streaming service for their exclusive partnership with Archewell Audio. Meghan released one season of her Archetypes podcast series in August 2022 before the plug was pulled on the project in June 2023.
Meghan invested in the women-owned coffee company after news broke in December 2020 that she sent a gift, which included the brand’s SuperLatte mix, to a friend. The wellness brand creates nutrient-riched lattes and donates a percentage of its monthly profits to organizations in the United States that fight for food justice.
In March 2021, Harry was announced as the chief impact officer of the wellness startup.
“During my decade in the military, I learned that we don’t just need to build physical resilience, but also mental resilience. And in the years since, my understanding of what resilience means — and how we can build it — has been shaped by the thousands of people and experts I’ve been fortunate to meet and learn from,” the Duke of Sussex said in a statement at the time, noting that his own experience working with a “truly awesome” BetterUp coach helped him find “a new perspective” on life.
One day after Harry was announced as the BetterUp CIO, it was announced that the Invictus Games founder would serve as one of 15 commissioners of the non-profit, which tackles misinformation in the United States.
In October 2021, Harry and Meghan teamed up with the financial services brand as impact partners. The company focuses on investing in combating environmental and social issues.
“[Harry and Meghan are] deeply committed to helping address the defining issues of our time — such as climate, gender equity, health, racial justice, human rights, and strengthening democracy — and understand that these issues are inherently interconnected,” per Ethic’s website. “So much so, in fact, that they became investors in Ethic earlier this year and have investments managed by Ethic as well.”
In January 2023, Harry released his highly anticipated tell-all, Spare. In the memoir, he opened up about his relationships with several members of the royal family, including Prince William, King Charles III and more. Harry reflected on his role of being the “spare” to William’s “heir” to the throne, the loss of their mother, falling in love with Meghan and the reason behind their decision to stop working for the royal family.
Billy Baldwin and Chynna Phillips have experienced a few bumps in their relationship over the years.
The actor and the Wilson Phillips singer met in 1991 before boarding a flight to New York. Phillips recalled in 2021 that Baldwin asked her out when they arrived at baggage claim. They tied the knot four years later. Baldwin and Phillips went on to expand their family with their three children: Jameson, Vance and Brooke, who arrived in 2000, 2001 and 2004, respectively.
While the early years of their marriage were seemingly joyful, the couple experienced their first rough patch in 2010 when Phillips filed for divorce. Days later, she withdrew the paperwork and decided to give her marriage another chance.

Ahead of their 28th wedding anniversary, the pair shared that they were struggling to connect after their kids moved out of the house.
“Billy and I are having serious empty nest syndrome and we are hitting walls when it comes to finding joint interests! It’s a scary reality that we both feel uncomfortable admitting,” Phillips said in a YouTube video. “We’re trying to remain hopeful that we can have a meeting of minds and find activities that we both find stimulating.”

Phillips confessed that she believes her interest in religion has led to a “power struggle” between her and Baldwin.
“I’ve been with Billy for 32 years, and we have an awesome marriage, but we definitely had the hardest couple years of our lives,” Phillips said in a YouTube livestream. “I think it’s because I just took the deep dive into Jesus, and I think he didn’t quite know what to do with that.”
She also shared that embracing her faith has made her a different person than she was when the duo first met.
“I’m not the same person I was 30 years ago, and I refused to have the same marriage that we had 30 years ago,” Phillips explained. “It’s time for us to mature and grow. He was on board, but I think that for him it was also like, ‘Well, you’re not into the things that I’m into.’”

Phillips revealed that a recent rough patch in her marriage to Baldwin came after she made a cross-country move. She noted in a YouTube video that they were “getting on each other’s last nerve” during a trip from the East to West Coast before being able to have a “normal conversation.”
Phillips explained that sometimes things get “frustrating because just when I feel like we’re on a roll and things are starting to get better, we start the bickering again.” However, it seemed they’ve gotten to a place with “effective communication.”
“It was definitely a victory for us because we have a tendency to just sort of spiral and the communication breakdown gets worse and worse and we’re off to the races,” she added. “Billy’s my life partner. He’s the one I want to have the healthiest relationship with. But sometimes I don’t. A lot of times I don’t because I don’t want to rock the boat, or I don’t want to put him in a bad mood, or I’m walking on eggshells.”
Despite the progress in their relationship, Phillips admitted she still never wants to “trigger” Baldwin.
“The truth is that me having that fear is keeping us from true intimacy, because it’s preventing me from opening up to him and I’m trying to guard his feelings and yet I’m causing more trouble in our marriage by doing that,” she explained. “I’m shooting myself in the foot.”

Phillips revealed in a YouTube video that the couple started living in separate houses but hadn’t broken up.
“Billy and I are sort of in this new kind of arrangement that is actually really working for me. I don’t know if it’s working for Billster, but I’m very happy with what we’re doing,” Phillips said in the clip. “I just really felt like, where in the Bible does it say that I have to live under the same roof 24/7 with my husband? Can you please find me that scripture?”
Phillips clarified that she and Baldwin still often meet up for date nights, therapy sessions and more.
“We enjoy each other’s company. That’s what is so hard to articulate to people: that we’re madly in love, we really enjoy being around one another, we cherish our marriage, we don’t ever want to separate,” she explained. “We just need a little bit of time apart because we are sort of an allergy to one another. And it’s OK, I’m sure lots of different couples are allergies to each other.”

One month after the pair publicly detailed their separate living arrangements, they had a change of heart.
“At that time I felt like I needed a little bit of space and really felt like that would be the most logical answer, but I have reneged,” Phillips said in a December 29 YouTube video. “I am retracting that comment, and I am now saying that is probably a very foolish, very unwise, very destructive, stupid decision because that’s not going to solve our problem with the allergy.”
The singer gushed that she and Baldwin were in a “way better place” now that they started cohabitating again.
“It’s being kind and gentle … and being more playful,” she explained. “I need more playfulness in my life, and I feel like Billy sometimes struggles with playfulness, but you know what? He’s not me, and I have to grow up and I have to realize that just because Billy is not always as playful as I consider myself to be, that is not something that I need to come down on him for.”

In addition to sharing the steamy pic on her Story, Lopez also included it in her Instagram Reel highlighting her holiday trip to Aspen, Colorado. She has been in the winter destination since Christmas where she celebrated the holiday with her loved ones.
The clip also included additional photos from the same moment as Lopez switched up her pose as she tilted her head to the side showing off her profile.
Lopez seemingly remained in Aspen to ring in the New Year as she watched a local fireworks show. The Unstoppable actress also shared a pic of her and her friends smiling underneath a “Happy New Year” banner.

Many of Lopez’s fans took to the comments section to gush over her steamy bikini look.
“It’s the bikini picture with the cowboy hat for me! SLAY mama! ,” one user replied while another wrote, “J To The Lo Hello.”
Lopez’s affinity for western headwear was a prime focus in her Aspen wardrobe. In addition to the bathing suit look, she also donned the same black cowboy hat while out and about in the city per her Instagram Reel. She paired the accessory with a black turtleneck, cozy sweater and sparkling Chanel stud earrings.
The singer wore the look while out and about with friends at a local establishment. Lopez posed for selfies with her pals. She even showed off her moves as the clip captured her doing the two-step on the dance floor.
While exploring Aspen, Lopez was also spotted sporting a white 10-gallon hat. The headpiece featured a brown leather band tied in the back, a structured white feather and several cards stacked and tucked into the band.
Lopez was photographed walking through the cozy ski town rocking the hat. She nailed the cowgirl aesthetic as she rocked the headwear with a blue coat, matching baggy jeans and a cream turtleneck sweater.

Kieran Culkin has come forward as the culprit who got Mark Ruffalo high during a performance of The Moment When more than two decades ago.
“I was 17 and stupid,” Culkin, 42, admitted to the prank in an interview with The Guardian published on Saturday, December 28.
Culkin and Ruffalo were in the 2000 production of the James Lapine play. The show was Culkin’s Broadway debut. The Succession alum confessed that he saw a bag of prop joints backstage and ultimately decided to switch one out.
Weeks later after making the swap, Culkin smelled the real joint and “watched” Ruffalo take a hit before passing it to another cast member. Culkin shared that he decided to come clean during the show’s intermission.
“I’m like, ‘I thought this was a good prank. I’m stupid. Oh my God, I’m so sorry,’” he recalled. “But actually, they loved it. Mark says, ‘I haven’t smoked pot in 10 years; the second half’s going to be so much fun.’ There was this other actor who had never smoked pot in her life. She goes, ‘Is this what being high is? This is lovely.’ And then Phyllis Newman comes in and goes, ‘I haven’t smoked pot since the 1960s. Thank you, darling.’”
While Culkin’s costars didn’t see the harm in the stunt, the play’s stage manager did not share a similar sentiment.
“Then the stage manager comes stomping in and goes, ‘I don’t care whose it is, or what happened, but Kieran, give me the joint,’” he reflected. “I sheepishly handed her the roach and she said, ‘Ruin your life on your own time.’”
Following the incident, Culkin learned his lesson and never pulled a stunt like that again.
“I know, I know. But I was young,” he told the outlet. “I’m 42 now. I know better. I’m not going to try to get anyone high on stage.”
Ruffalo previously shared the smoking mishap during a 2012 appearance on The Graham Norton Show. The Marvel star never revealed the identity of who was behind the prank.
“There was a play that I did that I had to smoke a joint in the first scene,” he recounted. “And of course, there was a very naughty young actor I was in the play with, who on the opening night with all the critics, he slipped a real joint onto the prop table.”
Ruffalo shared that while he was on stage he and his costar “smoked a giant blunt on stage” and didn’t realize it until he noticed everyone laughing at his antics.
“I’m like, ‘Man, I am in it tonight. I feel it. I’m on fire. I’m feeling it,’” he reflected before he started questioning his surroundings. “Why’s that dude standing backstage laughing at me?’ And the kid who put the joint on the prop table is standing there, [laughing]. And I just went, ‘Oh s—.’”
Despite the mishap, Ruffalo had no hard feelings as he ultimately got “the best reviews” of his career.
“Happy birthday to the most affectionate 220 lbs man that ever [existed],” the Nobody Wants This actress, 44, wrote via Instagram alongside a slideshow of her and Shepard, 50, over the years. “I cannot imagine life without you .”
The first photo was a throwback selfie of Bell and Shepard sharing a passionate kiss. The second pic featured the duo smooching in a car decked out in formal wear.
“The first pic is the first I ever posted on Instagram. The second is from our wedding day,” Bell added for context of the images.
Bell’s post included photos of her and Shepard over the years. The couple began dating in 2007 and got engaged two years later. Bell and Shepard tied the knot in 2013.
A third picture showed Bell and Shepard locking lips in their home while another featured the Parenthood alum giving Bell a kiss on the cheek while they were in attendance at an event.
In a non-PDA snap, Shepard and Bell rocked matching holiday pajamas while the actress was pregnant with one of their children. The couple share daughters Lincoln, 11, and Delta, 9. That wasn’t the only photo of the pair’s little ones that made the cut: Bell also shared a couple of sweet moments of her husband with both girls. In two photos, Shepard snuggled with his daughters and gave them kisses.

Shepard took to the comments section to tease his wife for making him emotional about her sweet words.
“How dare you make me cry on my big day of turning super old ,” the actor joked.
Over the years, Bell and Shepard have been candid about how they keep their spark alive after being married for more than a decade.
“My husband keeps my mind and heart open and moving forward every single day, because he’s a challenger,” Bell said of Shepard in a February 2023 interview with Real Simple. “We disagree about 99 percent of the things on earth, which is just fun and interesting.”
Bell also gushed about how Shepard has been by her side as she learned how to stop chasing her perfectionist tendencies.
“I had been taught to stay inside the lines,” she reflected. “When I realized I could break a mold and disagree with certain ways of doing things, I felt freer and more like me. According to Variety, “Espresso” had a total of 1,774,525,704 listens in 2024. Meanwhile, Eilish’s song “BIRDS OF A FEATHER” subsequently passed Carpenter’s pop track with 1,775,172,881 streams last year.
At the time of writing, “BIRDS OF A FEATHER” remained in the top spot as it reached 1,781,210,003 streams while “Espresso” had 1,778,582,288.
When the music streaming platform dropped its Wrapped data in December 2024, it declared Carpenter, 25, had claimed the No. 1 spot. At the time, Benson Boone‘s “Beautiful Things” was the second most streamed song while Eilish, 23, and “BIRDS OF A FEATHER” were in third place.
Carpenter released “Espresso” in April 2024 as the lead single from her Short ‘N Sweet album. While “Espresso” debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, it peaked at number three in June. The inescapable viral track was subsequently dubbed the song of the summer. In an August 2024 interview with Variety, Carpenter shared that she initially got pushback for wanting to select it as her album’s lead single.
“I was completely alone in wanting to release ‘Espresso.’ Not so much from my immediate team. But when it came to ‘the powers above,’” Carpenter said at the time. “There was a lot of questioning behind whether it made sense.”

Ultimately, Carpenter got her way — and she was proven right.
Eilish, for her part, dropped her third studio album Hit Me Hard and Soft in May 2024. When the album was released, the first single was the innuendo-laden “Lunch” followed by the more wistful “BIRDS OF A FEATHER.” “Lunch” debuted on the Billboard charts in the No. 5 spot with “BIRDS OF A FEATHER” coming in 12th. In July, Eilish selected “BIRDS OF A FEATHER” as the album’s second single which caused it to soar on the charts.
Eilish’s brother and collaborator Finneas shared in a December interview with Variety that he was unsure if “BIRDS OF A FEATHER” would resonate with fans despite being told otherwise by loved ones.
“I’m sort of extra-mistrustful when people tell me that they think something’s gonna be a big hit, because it feels like jinxing it — or because, usually, people say that about stuff that sounds like something else that already exists,” the producer explained. “You know, nobody said that about ‘Bad Guy’ before it came out, and I think the reason nobody said that was that it really sounded new. Anyway, that being said, every time we played ‘Birds of a Feather’ for the label or our close friends, they would kind of freak out.”
In November 2024, both Carpenter and Eilish received Grammy nominations. Eilish is up for seven awards this year, while Carpenter earned six nominations. “Espresso” and “BIRDS OF A FEATHER” will face off again in two categories: Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.
Kylie Kelce is reluctantly becoming a minivan mom in the new year.
“I’ll kick it off on a positive note with my top ‘ins’ for 2025: No. 1. As much as it pains me to say, minivans,” Kelce, 32, said on the Thursday, January 2, episode of her “Not Gonna Lie” podcast. “I said what I said.”
She continued: “For the people, my friends, who are hearing this, I don’t need a wellness check, although I have told you before that is what it would take if I ever said I was getting a minivan.”
While Kylie has been adamant that she would never drive a minivan, she confessed that her perspective has changed because she and husband Jason Kelce are expecting baby No. 4 this year. (The couple share daughters Wyatt, 5, Ellie, 3 and Bennett, 22 months.)
“Here’s the problem. I’m about to have four car seats, four, in one car,” Kylie explained, noting that the vehicle might not be a permanent fixture for her. “We’re gonna do a little three-year commitment, guys. We’re gonna do three years. We’re gonna grind it out, and then we’re gonna pretend it never happened. ‘Kay?”
Kylie added that while some — including her husband — may think she’ll change her mind, she’s not entirely sure that will be the case.

“And for those of you who are minivan lovers, like my husband, and think that I’m gonna get a minivan, and then I’m gonna stick with the minivan — well, we’ll just have to wait and see,” she teased.

Kylie announced in November 2024 that she is pregnant with her and the retired Philadelphia Eagles center’s fourth child.

Last month, Kylie joked that she and Jason, 37, decided to expand their family because she “really likes even numbers.”

“To me, that’s a no-no … it’s your sister. That’s how I see it.”
The drama between the sisters began last year over the legal trouble with Dina’s ex-husband, Thomas Manzo. Thomas was arrested in 2020 for his alleged involvement in a 2015 attack on Dina’s current husband, Dave Cantin. Thomas pleaded not guilty. (Caroline’s husband, Albert Manzo, is Thomas’ brother.)
The following year, Thomas was arrested a second time for an alleged role in a 2017 attack on Dina, 52, and Cantin. He was released on bail until his trial date. During a May 2021 hearing, it was revealed that Caroline, 63, had written a letter of support for Thomas.
Caroline’s letter kicked off the ongoing drama between her and Dina. At the time, Dina’s friend Luke McKibben publicly slammed Caroline via Instagram for siding with Thomas. Dina took to the comments section and seemingly supported the message.
“Normally Lukey I would ask you to take this down but ya know what? I’m starting to think some just expect us to stay quiet while they continue to hurt others…that’s what gives them that ‘power,'” Dina wrote at the time.
In October 2024, Thomas was sentenced to 84 months in prison for “hiring, then assisting, a soldier in the Lucchese Crime Family to assault,” per a press release issued by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Teresa added on Tuesday that Caroline shouldn’t have written a letter and should have stayed out of the legal drama.
“I wouldn’t do that,” she said. “If anything, I would have stayed out of it and let the courts decide.”
While Teresa thought that Caroline was in the wrong for getting involved, she admitted she did not have both women’s perspectives on the issue.
“But listen, I’m not in their shoes. I don’t know what the hell happened with them,” she explained. “I feel bad for that family because they were all close at one point.”
Teresa acknowledged that her opinion on the matter can seem contradictory given her strained relationship with her brother, Joe Gorga.
“People can say, ‘Why don’t you make up with your brother?’ Because yeah, there’s a lot people don’t know,” Teresa explained. “And people could be saying that too like I don’t know what Caroline was told, but how could you not believe your sister?”
Teresa has been feuding with Joe and his wife, Melissa Gorga, since they did not attend her 2022 wedding to Luis “Louie” Ruelas. The rift between the trio has been a main focus of RHONJ, especially in season 14, when the group refused to acknowledge or speak to one another. Both Melissa and Joe have maintained their stance that they have no plans to reconcile.

The beloved TV series Gilmore Girls will turn 25 years old this year. The WB drama, which ran for seven seasons, premiered in 2000 and starred Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel as the iconic mother-daughter duo, Lorelai and Rory Gilmore.
In honor of the series’ 15th anniversary, a revival miniseries titled Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life dropped on Netflix in 2016. As time has passed, the show has remained prominent in pop culture as it’s become a popular rewatch especially during the fall.
2025 is also the year The Sound of Music will celebrate its 60th anniversary. The classic Julie Andrews-led musical still warms the hearts of many and is also a popular rewatch during the holiday season.

The film is considered a masterpiece and won three Academy Awards. While Jaws has paved the way for other horror movies, what’s cemented its legacy in pop culture is its iconic score.
The Sound of Music’s legacy continues to live on as it celebrates its 60th anniversary this year. In addition to its touching story about the Von Trapp family, the movie’s music has remained a staple in pop culture. The soundtrack, which was penned by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, includes the titular track, "My Favorite Things," “Do-Re-Mi” and more.

Country music’s most prestigious venue is celebrating its centennial celebration this year. The Opry will be celebrating the 100th anniversary in November but the festivities will be going on all year long. Throughout 2025, the Opry will honor country legends while also highlighting the genre’s up-and-coming artists.
Alabama Barker is addressing the rumors circulating about her being hospitalized for nicotine withdrawal.
“Hello everyone, I just want to clarify that I was not in the hospital this month or last,” the “Vogue” rapper, 19, wrote via her Instagram Story on Tuesday, December 31. “The situation occurred some time ago, and I was there for three hours before being discharged.”
Earlier this week, rumors circulated online that Alabama, who is the daughter of Travis Barker and ex-wife Shanna Moakler, was suffering from nicotine withdrawal after she allegedly quit vaping. While Barker did not disclose why she was in the hospital, she did share what she received from the visit.
“They provided me with a nicotine patch and an inhaler. That is all,” she continued. “Let’s avoid spreading any rumors and focus on moving forward. Thank you.”
Earlier this week, Alabama revealed she was just getting over the flu.
“I have had the flu, and I’ve not been OK,” she said in a December 27 TikTok video. “I didn’t get to enjoy [my birthday] because I was so sick but I am back on my feet.”

Gwendlyn Brown is finishing the year off by achieving a major milestone.
“Bringing my BS into the new year ,” the Sister Wives star, 23, wrote via Instagram on Monday, December 30. “Graduated a semester early! — or late, depending on if you count the gap year.”
Gwendlyn, who is one of Kody Brown’s daughters that he shares with ex-wife Christine Brown, included a photo of her in her graduation gown and stole. In the snap, Gwendlyn posed outside her school, Northern Arizona University. She held her graduation cap in the air as she excitedly smiled for the camera.

The video featured a soundbite of Snoop Dogg thanking himself in an award speech set to the tune of the rapper’s collaboration with Dr Dre for “Still D.R.E.” The reality star donned a baby pink pajama set and her hospital bracelet as she posed in front of a bathroom mirror.
In the next segment, Hubbard displayed her figure 48 hours postpartum while posing in front of her Christmas tree. She rocked a pink matching set and cozy brown slippers. Hubbard’s next update came four days later as she rocked an all-black ensemble that featured leggings and a black flowy top.
The video transitioned into Hubbard’s one-week postpartum progress. Hubbard donned gray sweatpants and a multicolored pastel long-sleeve shirt as she showed off the remains of her bump. Following her one-week update, Hubbard flaunted her 10-day postpartum figure. She opted for flowy black sweatpants and a matching t-shirt.
Hubbard returned with a two-week postpartum update. Instead of going for her usual t-shirts and sweaters, Hubbard wore a green bra and neutral sweatpants. Her postpartum body was slowly making progress to her pre-pregnancy physique.
For the video’s ending, Hubbard showed off her week three postpartum look. She rocked a pair of baggy maternity jeans and a cropped black turtleneck showing off her stomach.
After giving birth, Hubbard opened up about how Kufe has been by her side since their daughter’s arrival.
“Even though technically this is my apartment, this is our HQ for the home of our daughter and me,” she said in a December interview with People. “He basically brought over a bunch of clothes and toiletries and is essentially going between my apartment and his apartment, but rarely ever leaves me and Gemma.”
In addition to having her partner’s support, Hubbard also shared that she feels “great” despite being “slightly sleep deprived.”
“My heart is so, so full,” she said. “You always hear new parents say ‘I never knew love like this existed,’ and then it happens to you and you’re like, ‘I totally get it now.’”
Yolanda Saldívar is seeking parole in 2025 after she was convicted of murdering singer Selena Quintanilla-Pérez after 30 years in prison.
Us Weekly confirmed on Monday, December 30, that Saldívar, 64, is currently in the parole review process. Her eligibility date is March 30, 2025. Saldívar is also eligible for inmate visitation, per online records viewed by Us.
The New York Post reported on Sunday, December 29, that Saldívar’s prison record is currently in good standing.
Selena was shot by Saldívar in March 1995 at a motel in Corpus Christi, Texas. While paramedics tried to revive her, Selena died of hypovolemic shock at Corpus Christi Memorial Hospital. She was 23 years old. Selena was survived by her family and her husband, Christopher Pérez, who was also the lead guitarist in her band, Selena y Los Dinos.
Saldívar, who was the Tejano singer’s former fan club president and boutique manager, was arraigned and pleaded not guilty. She previously claimed that the shooting was accidental and that she had intended to commit suicide.
“They made me out to be a monster, and I just want to say, I did not kill Selena,” Saldívar claimed in an interview with 20/20 in 1995. “It was an accident, and my conscience is clear.”

Saldívar was found guilty by a jury of first-degree murder in October 1995. She was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 30 years behind bars. Saldívar has been serving her sentence at the Patrick O’Daniel facility in Texas.
Following Selena’s tragic death, her legacy has continued to live on. Selena’s first English language album, Dreaming of You, was released posthumously just months after her passing. The record debuted on the Billboard 200 debut, making Selena the first Latin artist to do so. Dreaming of You sold more than one million copies.
Two years later, a movie was made about Selena’s life which starred Jennifer Lopez as the Grammy winner. The film launched Lopez into superstardom. In 2020, Netflix dropped a miniseries about Selena starring Walking Dead alum Christian Serratos.
In addition to her story being told through film and TV, Selena has also earned a series of accolades following her death. Selena has sold approximately 18 million records worldwide, making her one of the best-selling female artists in Latin music. In 2021, the “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom” singer was awarded the Lifetime Achievement award at the Grammys. Three years later, Selena was selected as one of the National Medal of Arts recipients by President Joe Biden.
Lynn Ban suffered a major head injury after getting into a ski accident on Christmas Eve.
“And in a blink of an eye … life can change,” the Bling Empire: New York star, 51, wrote via Instagram on Monday, December 30. “Christmas Eve on a beautiful sunny day in Aspen on vacation with my family, I had a ski accident that would change my life.”
While skiing on the top of the mountain, Ban shared that she “caught a tip” which caused her to face plant. At the time, the injury didn’t seem “that bad” per Ban since she “always” wears a helmet. Ban was able to ski down the mountain and wanted to get checked for a concussion by the ski patrol just in case.
“I had a bit of a headache but thought after lunch it would be fine and I could ski again. The paramedic suggested I go to the hospital for a CAT scan. This saved my life,” she penned. “I went in a taxi with [partner] Jett [Kain] and within 30 minutes they told us I had a brain bleed and needed to be airlifted to the trauma hospital.”
She continued: “Last thing I remember was being intubated and waking up after an emergency craniotomy with Jett by my side.”
According to Johns Hopkins Medicine, a craniotomy procedure is the surgical removal of part of the bone from the skull to expose the brain.
In her post, Ban shared a slideshow of pictures which included a selfie from her hospital bed which showed half of her hair shaved off and the scar from surgery. In a subsequent snap, the jewelry designer can be seen sleeping in the hospital bed while she’s hooked up to several machines. Ban also included pics of her on the mountain in her ski gear which did include a helmet and goggles.

Ban’s costar Dorothy Wang took the comments to wish her a speedy recovery.
“Omg lynn i have chills. So happy you are okay and have your incredible tribe by your side,” Wang, 36, replied. “Sending you all my love and wishing you healing .”
Actress Debi Mazar also wished Ban well, writing, “Whoa!! Omg Lynn!!! I’m so sorry this happened to you! The haircut and scar is oddly hot you’re a warrior and we are all wishing you a speedy recovery!!! sending love and strength!”
Ban starred on the Bling Empire spinoff alongside Wang, Tina Leung, Blake Abbie and more. The Netflix series premiered in 2023 and aired for one season. Earlier this year both Bling Empire and Bling Empire: New York, were canceled.
