Scottie Scheffler has withdrawn from the first event of the PGA Tour’s 2025 season-opening tournament due to injury.

“On Christmas Day while preparing dinner, Scottie sustained a puncture wound to the palm of his right hand from broken glass,” Scheffler’s agent Blake Smith said in a statement shared via the PGA Tour’s official X account on Friday, December 27. “Small glass fragments remained in the palm which required surgery.”

Scheffler’s recovery time will be about “three to four weeks,” per the statement. He is now unable to participate in The Sentry tournament in Maui, Hawaii, which is held from January 2 to 5. The decision came shortly before the tournament’s commitment deadline which was at 5 p.m. ET.

While Scheffler, 28, will not be in Hawaii next week, he is expected to return for The American Express tournament in La Quinta, California, which commences on January 16.

Sheffler is the reigning PGA Player of the Year and is ranked the No. 1 golfer in the world. In June, he made history with his sixth PGA Tour win. Sheffler celebrated the win with his wife, Meredith Scudder, and their newborn son, Bennett, whom they welcomed in May. Following the win, Sheffler became the first golfer to earn six PGA Tour wins before July since Arnold Palmer accomplished the feat in 1962.

“This golf course produces a lot of the exciting stuff coming down the stretch so it was nice to be out there competing,” Scheffler said in a press conference after his victory. “It’s great competing against one of my good buddies in Tom Kim, but it’s also very difficult at the same time. I want what’s best for him so sometimes it can be hard and I think, for both of us, battling against each other out there. But, it was a lot of fun and I’m proud to be sitting here with the trophy.”

“I’m just proud of the work that we put in,” Scheffler said at the time, per ESPN. “It’s hard to put into words what this year has been like for me. It’s been pretty emotional. There’s been a lot of stuff that’s gone on outside of golf. It’s been a bit of a wild year.”

Chanel Maya Banks has filed a restraining order against her mother and cousin one month after she was reported missing.

According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, the Gossip Girl alum, 36, requested a temporary restraining order against her cousin Danielle-Tori Singh on Thursday, December 26. Banks also filed a request for a civil harassment restraining order on her mother and Singh.

In the paperwork, Banks claimed that her mom and cousin have “acted together to harass and spread lies” about her to “ruin” her “credibility” and “acting.” Banks also alleged that both women “manufactured” the story that she was a “missing person” and claimed her husband murdered her.

“They orchestrated this scheme in order to humiliate me publicly and ruin my professional acting career,” Banks claimed in the docs.

Banks also claimed that her mom and Singh “burglarized” her apartment while her husband, who has been referred to as CJ on social media, was home. Banks alleged that her mother and cousin “assaulted” CJ and caused “visible injuries on his face and neck.”

In November, Singh and Banks’ mother filed a missing person’s report after a welfare check revealed that the actress was not at her Los Angeles home.

“Five days without hearing from my cousin is red flags and alarm bells,” Singh told Eyewitness News at the time. “She doesn’t go more than 48 hours without speaking to me or her mom. That girl is more like a big sister to me.”

The L.A. police department revealed hours later that Banks had been found and she was safe. Banks later released a statement to let everyone know she was not missing.

Banks also claimed that she has not been in contact with her relatives for quite some time.

“For decades my family has been my spiritual, physical, and emotional warden, giving me zero authority of my personage,” she continued. “I was not allowed to make any decisions in life in any way without their approval. … Every instance I’d get close to leaving they’d falsify official government documents relaying lies concerning my mental health — for the record — I have no mental health or any other record aside from a parking ticket here and there, so law enforcement would unquestionably and mercilessly pursue me.”

Ingo Rademacher wants to head back to court against ABC for his firing from General Hospital following Steve Burton’s recent return to the soap opera.

According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, Rademacher, 53, filed a motion on Thursday, December 26, requesting a new trial against the network citing there was new evidence.

In the filing, Rademacher alleged that Burton’s recent return to General Hospital “undermines” ABC’s argument that Rademacher’s “political beliefs did not play any role in its decision to fire him” back in 2021.

In November 2021, both Rademacher and Burton were fired from General Hospital due to their refusal to comply with the show’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate. Rademacher, who played Jax on the ABC soap for 25 years, was vocal about his beliefs on vaccination requirements. Before his firing, he advocated for “medical freedom” via his Instagram page.

One month after his exit from General Hospital, Rademacher announced he was taking legal action against ABC for their policy. Rademacher followed through and engaged in a legal battle with the network where he accused ABC of religious discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination and violation of his right to privacy.

ABC denied Rademacher’s allegations. The network claimed their decision to let Rademacher go was based on health reasons, not due to his religious beliefs. In June 2023, a judge sided with ABC.

Burton, for his part, did not seek legal action against the network. Instead, he joined the cast of Days of Our Lives in April 2022, reprising his role of Harris Michaels whom he played in 1988.

Earlier this year, Burton announced he was leaving Days of Our Lives.

Two months later, it was announced that Burton was set to return to General Hospital to reprise his role of Jason Morgan, three years after his firing. He made his first reappearance on the soap opera in March.

“Look who’s back in the ring! ,” the show’s official Instagram teased in March. “@1SteveBurton has officially returned to Port Charles … and that’s all we can tell you (for now). #GH #GeneralHospital.”

Drew Carey couldn’t help but notice how the Price Is Right audience reacted to a recent contestant’s playing style.

The game show uploaded a clip via its official Instagram earlier this month of a player named Brian who was participating in the classic game Switcheroo. Brian was tasked with selecting the missing number from five prizes — including a car. He had 30 seconds to decide which numbers he wanted to put in each square and Brian decided to take his time and think things out.

“25 seconds,” Carey said to let Brian know how much time he had left on the clock and the crowd was yelling for the contestant to keep going. “20 seconds. He’s not rushing as much as everyone else that plays this game does.”

Brian finished the puzzle with 10 seconds to spare. Carey counted down the remaining seconds on the clock and when the buzzer went off the crowd reacted negatively to Brian’s answers — which took the host by surprise.

Carey went on to check Brian’s work and revealed that he had two correct despite the crowd’s lack of faith.

Brian ran back to the board to re-examine his answers and change what he thought could be potentially wrong. He looked to the crowd for their opinions on what he should swap. Brian changed the price of the car first and the audience shouted at him in disagreement.

“The crowd is going bananas and he put the 2 back,” Carey narrated as Brian opted to go back to his original number for the car.

After switching the car number back, Brian ultimately decided to change his answers for the ice scraper and pillow prizes before time ran out. Carey had Brian’s answers checked again. Despite making changes, Brian only had one correct.

“Uh oh,” Brian said and Carey replied, “Hopefully it is the car.”

The Switcheroo board revealed that the one answer Brian had gotten right was indeed the vehicle, which was a Toyota Corolla.

Carey has been the host of The Price Is Right since 2007 following Bob Barker’s retirement. Over the years, Carey has seen an array of wild moments on the CBS game show from wild answers to on-stage injuries. As the show continues to run, Carey doesn’t see himself retiring from the gig anytime soon.

The woman who has accused Jay-Z of rape can remain anonymous in court for now.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ on Thursday, December 26, judge Analisa Torres ruled the accuser, who has gone by the moniker Jane Doe in the lawsuit, can continue to be unnamed in the case. However, the judge noted the circumstances could change as the case moves forward. Torres stated she intends to revisit the issue if and when the case progresses.

Torres also accused Jay-Z’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, of being combative and trying to “fast-track” the case, per the outlet.

Attorney Tony Buzbee, who is representing Doe, said in a statement to Us Weekly saying, “I don’t typically comment on court rulings. I will say that the coordinated and desperate efforts to attack me as counsel for alleged victims are falling flat.”

Earlier this month, news broke that Jay-Z, 55, was named in a civil lawsuit alongside Sean “Diddy” Combs. In the paperwork, Doe accused the two rappers of raping her when she was 13 at an MTV Video Music Awards after party in 2000. The lawsuit was initially filed in October where Diddy, 55, was the only one named in the docs. However, Buzbee — who is also representing numerous people claiming to be victims of Diddy — refiled the paperwork on December 8 to include Jay-Z in the suit.

Both Jay-Z and Diddy have denied the allegations. In a statement to Us Weekly, Jay-Z referenced his wife, Beyoncé, whom he has been married to since 2008, and their three children: Blue Ivy, 12, and twins Rumi and Sir, both 8.

“My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people,” his message read. “I mourn yet another loss of innocence. Children should not have to endure such at their young age. It is unfair to have to try to understand inexplicable degrees of malice meant to destroy families and human spirit.”

Jay-Z filed a motion to dismiss the civil lawsuit “for lack of subject matter jurisdiction due to the plaintiff’s lack of standing.”

In that same paperwork, the Roc Nation founder also requested the court for Doe’s identity to be “disclosed immediately” to the public.

After filing the motion, Spiro held a press roundtable on December 16, at Roc Nation’s New York City offices where Us and other reporters were present. Spiro began the meeting by stating that Jay-Z “did not rape a child” and gave a presentation that detailed alleged holes in the accuser’s story. Spiro also claimed that multiple people are willing to come forward to address the inconsistencies in the rape allegation made against Jay-Z.

The woman previously came forward to address the discrepancies in her account.

Mark Wahlberg continued his Christmas celebration by stripping down and taking an early morning cold plunge.

“4 A.M. rain or shine,” Wahlberg, 53, said in a video shared via Instagram on Thursday, December 26. “It’s raining outside, but we’re still gonna plunge.”

In the clip, Wahlberg walked out of a locker-room shower wearing a pair of navy short swim trunks. The actor also rocked a watch on one wrist and a navy blue bracelet on the other. As Wahlberg faced the camera, his abs were on full display as he prepared to exit the facility, and a pair of sneakers were resting behind him.

Hours after the gym session, Wahlberg gathered with his family to celebrate Christmas together. He shared a tiny glimpse of the festivities via his Instagram Story which included family members gathered in a living room with a Santa Claus statue in the background.

In honor of the holiday, Wahlberg posted his brood’s Christmas card which featured his wife, Rhea Durham, and their four kids: Ella, 21, Michael, 18, Brendan, 16, and Grace, 14, all sitting together on a couch.

Wahlberg’s time in the gym during the holidays hasn’t deterred him from the celebrations. He previously opened up about how Durham runs the show during the family time — but he makes sure he takes her and their kids on a special excursion.

Kody is also the father of six kids: Logan, 30, Maddie, 29, Hunter, 27, Gabriel, 23, and Savannah, 20 whom he shares with Janelle. Kody and Christine also have six children together: Aspyn, 29, Mykelti, 28, Paedon, 26, Gwendlyn, 23, Ysabel, 21, and Truely, 14. With fourth wife Robyn, Kody shares son Solomon, 13 and daughter Ariella, 8. He also adopted Robyn’s little ones from her previous marriage: David, 24, Aurora, 22, and Breanna, 20. Former NBA player Jeff Teague has some bold thoughts on a hypothetical matchup between Caitlin Clark and Bronny James.

“Caitlin would not score a point on Bronny, bro,” Teague, 36, said on the Monday, December 23, episode of the “Club 520” podcast when asked who would win if the pair ever faced off. “She might not even get a shot off, bro.”

Teague, who previously played with the Atlanta Hawks for seven seasons, doubled down on his hot take that Clark, 22, would lose to Bronny — who is the son of Lebron James — by a significant amount.

“He would beat her by 60 [points],” Teague claimed. “He would legit beat her 20 [to] 0.”

Fellow cohost DJ Wells shared that he thinks a couple women athletes could be “in consideration depending on the match up.” However, all the men agreed that the NBA player’s physical stature would give them an advantage over the women.

Teague also doesn’t think A’ja Wilson, who plays for the Las Vegas Aces, could beat Bronny in a solo match up as well due to their differences in sizes.

“He’s 10 times more athletic than [Wilson]. He can do everything better than her,” he said. “She’s a girl bro, he’s physically way more imposing. I mean she’s good, she’s a hooper, she’s a good person but that is a man.”

Teague added that in his experience when he’s faced off against a woman on the basketball court, he’s taken the victory each time.

“No girl ever beat me one-on-one, on my mama,” he claimed. “If a girl beat me one-on-one, I swear I’d never pick up a basketball again.”

Brandon Sklenar has publicly supported It Ends With Us costar Blake Lively amid her lawsuit against Justin Baldoni.

Sklenar, 34, reposted the New York Times article that broke the news of Lively’s allegations against Baldoni, 40, via his Instagram Story on Monday, December 23.

Sklenar continued: “What may or may not have happened behind the scenes does not and hopefully should not detract from what our intentions were in making this film. It’s been disheartening to see the amount of negativity being projected online.”

Sklenar shared that “there isn’t a single person involved in the making of this film” that wasn’t “aware of the responsibility we had in making this,” and added, “This movie is a harsh reality check for the men who need to get their s— together and take responsibility for themselves and their actions.”

Justin Baldoni is already dealing with major fallout days after Blake Lively filed a lawsuit against him.

The New York Times reported on December 21 that Lively filed a lawsuit on December 20 in which she accused him of sexual harassment and launching a “social manipulation” campaign against her to “destroy” her reputation during the promotion of their film It Ends With Us. The docs, which were also obtained by Us Weekly, claimed that Lively was not the only cast member who complained about Baldoni.

Baldoni, who has been a vocal supporter of women’s issues, has denied the allegations via his lawyer Bryan Freedman who called Lively’s accusations “completely false, outrageous and intentionally salacious” in a statement to Us. The statement claimed that Lively filed the lawsuit to “fix her negative reputation” and “rehash a narrative” about the film’s production.

Us reached out to Lively’s rep for comment but did not immediately hear back. In a statement to The New York Times regarding her lawsuit, the actress said, “I hope that my legal action helps pull back the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics to harm people who speak up about misconduct and helps protect others who may be targeted.”

While Baldoni has maintained innocence since the lawsuit’s filing, he has suffered from a series of career setbacks. Baldoni was quickly dropped from his talent agency in addition to having an award rescinded.

The same day that news broke of Lively’s lawsuit, talent agency WME (William Morris Endeavor) dropped Baldoni as a client. Deadline reported that the decision was made by WME leadership and was partly due to Lively’s lawsuit.

WME also represents Lively where she still remains a client.

Vital Voices Award Rescinded

One week before news broke of Lively’s lawsuit, Baldoni was awarded at the 2024 Vital Voices Solidarity Awards which is an “awards program that honors remarkable men who have shown courage and compassion in advocating on behalf of women and girls worldwide,” per the organization’s website. The honor was presented by his It Ends With Us costar Hasan Minhaj.

On December 23, Vital Voices announced they rescinded the award and alerted Baldoni of the decision amid the legal drama.

“The Voices of Solidarity Award honors remarkable men who have shown courage and compassion in advocating on behalf of women and girls,” a statement shared via Instagram read. “On December 9, 2024, we recognized Justin Baldoni with this award. On Saturday, December 21, we learned through news reports about a lawsuit brought by Blake Lively against Mr. Baldoni, his publicists, and others that is disturbing and alleges abhorrent conduct. The communications among Mr. Baldoni and his publicists in the lawsuit — and the PR effort they indicate — are, alone, contrary to the values of Vital Voices and the spirit of the Award.”

Losing a Cohost

Baldoni hosted the podcast “Man Enough” alongside author Liz Plank. On December 23, Plank announced her departure from the show after four years.

“I’m writing to you today to let you know that I have had my representatives inform Wayfarer that I will no longer be co-hosting the ‘Man Enough’ podcast,” Plank wrote in a statement obtained by People. “Thank you for trusting me with your hearts and stories, for holding space for mine, and for making this show what it was. I will miss you, the listeners, so much. I love what this community created together with every fiber of my being, and that’s because of you.”

Plank added that while “this chapter closes” for her, she plans on staying “committed to the values we’ve built together.”

“Thank you for being here, for trusting me, and for being by my side for the last four years. We all deserve better, and I know that together, we can create it,” she continued. “I will have more to share soon as I continue to process everything that has happened. In the meantime, I will continue to support everyone who calls out injustice and holds the people standing in their way accountable.”

She did not refer to Baldoni or the lawsuit in her statement.

Podcast Episode Deleted

In the wake of Lively’s lawsuit, Elizabeth Day, host of the podcast “How to Fail,” deleted an episode where she interviewed Baldoni about It Ends With Us.

“I have made the decision to remove the recent How to Fail interview with Justin Baldoni from all platforms while the distressing allegations made against him in Blake Lively’s recent lawsuit are fully investigated,” Day wrote in a statement shared via Instagram on December 24. “Every individual has a right to a safe workplace. Every woman has the right to dignity in that workplace. Every form of abuse should be called out and I salute the individuals who have the courage to do so.”

While speaking about Christmas presents, Aaron Rodgers casually revealed he has a special someone in his life.

“I used to enjoy a little outing over to the Bay Park mall in Wisconsin every now and then, but I actually ordered all of [my Christmas gifts] online this year. I was a little worried because there was one package left for my girlfriend Brittani that hadn’t showed up yet,” the New York Jets quarterback, 41, said during a Monday, December 23, appearance on The Pat McAfee Show. “So I’ve been waiting on this to show up and it showed up today.”

With the arrival of his girlfriend’s Christmas present, Rodgers added that he is “all set” for the holidays. McAfee’s jaw dropped at Rodger’s nonchalant reveal that he is seeing someone. Cohost A.J. “#BehindTheScenes of filming the wedding scene in 410. New York City, May 2024. ,” the official account of the Hulu series wrote alongside a carousel of images shared via Instagram on Friday, December 20.

The first pic featured Streep, 75, and Short, 74, standing in front of a floral arch with white and pink roses outside the iconic Arconia building’s courtyard. Streep stunned in a cream long-sleeved floor-length gown that featured floral embellishments. Short, for his part, looked dashing in a lavender suit paired with a cream vest, matching tie and scarf.

The pair stood close together with their arms wrapped around each other as they smiled for the camera. The post also featured snaps of more of the floral arrangements from the scene, the gigantic wedding cake and the series’ beloved pup Winnie — who belongs to Short’s character.

Streep joined the cast in season 3 as Loretta, who is an actress and Oliver’s love interest. In season 4, Loretta and Oliver got engaged and their wedding took place in the season finale.

While the pair’s nuptials were a success, Loretta and Oliver’s future is up in the air. In the finale, Loretta shared that she has to leave for New Zealand days after the ceremony to film her show. Olivier insisted that they would make the distance work as he will remain at the Arconia alongside Charles and Mabel. The trio have another murder investigation on their hands as the Arconia’s doorman Lester (Teddy Coluca) was found dead in the fountain following Oliver’s wedding.

Only Murders in the Building was renewed for season 5 shortly after the season 4 premiere. Short, Martin and Gomez are expected to return, but no additional casting announcements have been made yet.

When Tiffany Boone stepped in for her Mufasa audition, she had no idea she would get to play the iconic lion queen Sarabi.

“I created the character that was in my head, [but] I didn’t know I was auditioning for Sarabi,” the actress, 37, exclusively told Us Weekly on Thursday, December 19, while discussing Mufasa: The Lion King. “It had a different name on the page. So I was like, ‘This must be some new character.’”

As Boone read through the script, she thought the character seemed “cool” and wanted to use her voice to reflect that aspect of her personality. Boone was thrown for a loop once it was revealed that she was going to voice the beloved cartoon character.

“So when they told me who I was actually playing, I was like, ‘Oh, that’s quite a bit of pressure, actually,’” she confessed.

Boone shared that she asked director Barry Jenkins whether he wanted her to make her vocals sound more like Madge Sinclair, who originally voiced the character in the original Lion King from 1994, or like Alfre Woodard, who played Sarabi in the 2019 live-action adaptation. Jenkins, 45, had faith in Boone’s talent and encouraged her to be herself as they developed Sarabi’s backstory.

“I had so much freedom to create the younger version of her and give the other layers to the character [and] the challenges that she went through to become the great queen that she becomes,” she told Us.

As a fan of The Lion King, Boone always saw Sarabi as the “perfect” wife, mother and queen, so she wanted fans to get a taste of Sarabi’s personality before she became Mufasa’s loyal partner.

“She wasn’t always perfect. She’s sassy … she’s sarcastic and she makes fun of the boys,” Boone said, referring to Mufasa and his adopted brother, Taka, who will become Scar later on. “I think she has a sense of humor about her. She’s really vulnerable, and all those things are really fun to add to the complexity of the Sarabi that we see later on.”

Boone teased that fans might be “surprised” to see how Sarabi’s relationship with Mufasa (voiced by Aaron Pierre) unfolds, hinting it’s “not such a straight line.” As for rumors of a love triangle between Sarabi, Mufasa and Scar, Boone hinted that fans will “get an answer” when they see the movie.

“You’re gonna get to understand the three of them a lot better, for sure,” she teased.

Boone admitted that she’s “still pinching” herself that she is now a member of the Lion King family.

“I can’t believe that I’m a part of it,” she shared, noting that her younger self couldn’t have dreamed of such an opportunity. “Telling that little version of me that used to sit and watch the VHS in my mother’s bed over and over again, like, ‘You’re gonna be a part of that family, that story.’ I feel like her little head would explode. My imagination couldn’t even dream of this.”

However, Boone admitted that there was “definitely pressure” to make sure she and the whole Mufasa team delivered — especially for fans of the animated classic.

“I know that there’s a bunch of people who are like, ‘Are they gonna do this justice?’” she reflected. “But there’s also so much joy, and that’s what I think we were trying to remember when we were recording. And I think Barry Jenkins really led us in the direction of finding the joy in these moments and having a lot of fun and to let the pressure kind of roll off our backs and just do our jobs as actors.”

“James is trying to win everything back including [girlfriend] Ally [Lewber],” a source exclusively tells Us Weekly. “If he doesn’t stay sober, he knows he has a lot to lose.”

According to the insider, Lewber, 28, is keeping her distance for now as Kennedy prioritizes his sobriety. The source adds that Kennedy is “staying sober and getting treatment. He’s taking it [very] seriously.”

“Ally is staying away until he gets help and she is leaning on friends and family.” the insider says. “People are rallying around her. She has a lot of support.”

James Kennedy and Ally Lewber Are Taking ‘Some Distance' After His Arrest

Kennedy’s reps did not respond to Us’ request for comment.

Kennedy, 32, was arrested on Tuesday, December 10, after law enforcement received a call “regarding an argument between a man and a woman” at Kennedy and Lewber’s home. Police deemed it to be a “domestic incident” and Kennedy was subsequently taken into custody.

After news of his arrest broke, Kennedy’s attorneys spoke out in a statement to Us.

“We are in the process of conducting our own investigation into the allegations levied by the Burbank Police Department against James,” the December 13 statement read. “We understand that there were no injuries and we are hoping that, after careful review, the city’s attorneys will decide not to file formal charges.”

Kennedy and Lewber started dating in January 2022. Three months before they met, Kennedy and his former Pump Rules costar Rachel Leviss called off their engagement. In March 2022, the DJ and Lewber made their relationship Instagram official, showing off pics from the couple’s vacation to Tulum, Mexico.

Lewber, for her part, has remained out of the public eye since Kennedy’s arrest made headlines, but she took to social media to let everyone know how she was faring.

Navigating challenging moments is not easy but I am determined to learn, grow and move forward with the incredible support system around me.”
