Conor McGregor says he has 'agreed' to box Logan Paul; WWE star gives cryptic message

It does not seem like the Paul brothers are getting out of the boxing ring any time soon — and another big name is apparently involved.

UFC star Conor McGregor wrote on X on Tuesday morning that he has "agreed" to take Logan Paul in a "boxing exhibition" in India.

McGregor was slated to return to UFC this past summer after breaking his leg in 2021 during a fight with Dustin Poirier, but injuries delayed his return.

The Irishman said he will "seek my return to the Octagon" after he fights Paul.

Paul, the older brother of Jake, shared McGregor's post on his Instagram Story and posted an eyes emoji, neither confirming nor denying McGregor's claim.

McGregor wrote that he was in discussions with the Ambani family, and the fight would be in India.

McGregor's announcement came roughly a month after Jake Paul defeated Mike Tyson in Dallas — it was a sanctioned fight, thus giving Tyson the seventh loss of his career against 50 victories, as Jake moved to 11-1.

The fight was criticized for what has become speculation that it was compromised, but Paul and his business partner, Nakisa Bidarian, who together co-founded Most Valuable Promotions, nixed any such discussion last month.

As for Logan, he has two professional fights on his record, his last of which wound up in his opponent, Dillon Danis, being disqualified for trying an MMA-style grapple and a guillotine chokehold attempt in the ring.

As the final seconds ticked, Danis attempted to put Paul into the guillotine, but Paul got out of it and threw a punch as Danis was on the mat. When Danis got up, the referee tried to keep them separated, but Danis went on the attack. Well over a dozen security guards jumped into the ring. Danis swung at security, and Paul's younger brother, Jake, got involved.

Security members on both sides jostled with one another, and Danis was disqualified. Although Paul held the unanimous lead through the first five rounds. After the fight, Paul called out McGregor, calling him a "little leprechaun."

The eldest Paul has made a name for himself in the WWE, even winning the United States Championship against Rey Mysterio.

Paul also had an exhibition bout against Floyd Mayweather in 2021.

Conor McGregor's fiancée rips fighter's accuser: 'My sons will be warned women like you exist'

Conor McGregor's fiancée went scorched earth on the UFC fighter's accuser in the days following McGregor being held liable for assault during a sexual encounter with the woman.

Nikita Hand claimed the UFC fighter "brutally raped and battered" her in a Dublin hotel penthouse nearly six years ago, and was awarded nearly 250,000 Euros ($257,000) on Friday.

Hand said that McGregor had bruised her during sex, to a point where a paramedic testified that he had not seen someone with that intensity of bruising. She also claimed that McGregor had put her in a chokehold several times and later told her, "Now you know how I felt in the octagon where I tapped out three times."

Well, in a series of Instagram Story posts, Devlin backed up McGregor and shamed Hand.

"Imagine a woman, with her own boyfriend and child, texting provocative pictures of herself to another woman's man with a family and child on the way…" Devlin wrote. "Whilst out on a 3 day bender, texting excuses to her own child at home where mammy is on Saturday afternoon, Saturday night, Sunday morning, Sunday night, into Monday morning. All the while out of her face in a hotel room, dancing around a hotel carpark. What sort of woman are you!!!"

Added Devlin, "My sons will be warned women like you exist in the world."

"CCTV does not lie. I look forward the day the world will see the footage of you on that night and the carry on of you. Not a bother of you having the time of your life… To me, looks like you're the one sexually assaulting in the lift. To me, it looks like everyone is trying to get away from you.

"Conor and I dealt with these issues privately many years ago, as should be done in a relationship and we have come out stronger than ever. We have four beautiful children now whose smiling faces and happy hearts are a testament to who he is and who we are. They without sin cast the first stone."

Devlin's comments come just days after McGregor called Hand a "vicious liar."

McGregor recently maintained his innocence, but admitted to making "mistakes."

"Six years ago, I should have never responded to her outreaches. I should have shut the party down. I should never have stepped out on the woman I love the most in the world. That’s all on me," McGregor wrote on X on Monday. "As much as I regret it, everything that happened that night was consensual and all the witnesses present swore to that under oath."

McGregor previously was accused of sexually assaulting someone in a bathroom at an NBA Finals game in 2022, but he avoided charges.

McGregor, who hasn't fought since 2021, was set to return to the ring at UFC 303, but his injury kept him away from the Octagon.

Conor McGregor lashes out on rape accuser in social media rant after being found liable for assault

A civil jury in Ireland ruled that Conor McGregor assaulted a woman in a penthouse after a night of partying in 2018 during a sexual encounter, but McGregor says the claims are false.

The former UFC champion said, in a since-deleted post, that he would appeal the civil jury's decision, but he ranted on X earlier Saturday about his accuser's "lies."

The accuser, Nikita Hand, also accused triathlete James Lawrence of assault on the same night that McGregor allegedly "brutally raped and battered" her.

Despite the court ordering McGregor to pay over $250,000, it also found that Lawrence was innocent.

"Justice was served for James Lawrence, yes! Deplorable what they done. Nikita hand, vicious liar! APPEAL!" McGregor posted on X Saturday morning in reposting a story from the Irish Independent.

McGregor also wrote that Hand had "falsely accused a man of rape and lost."

"Two men falsely accused. One vindicated, the other soon to be! Congrats James Lawrence on absolute exoneration!" McGregor wrote in another post. "Twice this heinous accusation was put to you and twice it was shown as FALSE! LIES! It is absolutely disgraceful what they put you through here. Disgraceful! I look forward to seeing you further vindicate yourself and lambast those responsible in court! We know what happened that night! Everyone present knows, yet it was ignored. Every single statement of persons present on the night was ignored. And they all disputed Nikita’s LIES!"

Lawrence himself wrote in an Instagram Story post that Hand is "an absolute disgrace and a slap in the face to any girl that did ever go threw [sic] this for real."

Hand said that McGregor had bruised her during sex, to a point where a paramedic testified that he had not seen someone with that intensity of bruising. She also claimed that McGregor had put her in a chokehold several times and later told her, "Now you know how I felt in the octagon where I tapped out three times."

McGregor said that the two had had sex that had been athletic and vigorous but not rough. He said that "she never said, ‘No’ or stopped" and testified that everything she had said was a lie.

Conor McGregor found liable of assault in Ireland civil court stemming from sexual encounter

A civil jury in Ireland ruled that Conor McGregor assaulted a woman in a penthouse after a night of partying in 2018 during a sexual encounter.

The woman who claimed the UFC fighter "brutally raped and battered" her in a Dublin hotel penthouse was awarded nearly 250,000 Euros ($257,000) on Friday.

The woman had to take several breaks in her emotional testimony as she said that McGregor had threatened to kill her during the encounter. The defense said the woman had never told investigators that McGregor had threatened her life.

A paramedic who examined the woman the next day testified that she hadn’t seen someone with that intensity of bruising.

McGregor put her in a chokehold several times and later told her, "Now you know how I felt in the octagon where I tapped out three times," referring to an Ultimate Fighting Championship when he had to admit defeat, she said.

She feared she would die and never see her daughter again.

"He let me go, and I remember saying I was sorry, as I felt that I did something wrong, and I wanted to reassure him that I wouldn’t tell anyone so he wouldn’t hurt me again," she said.

She said she then let him do what he wanted, and he had sex with her.

McGregor said the two had sex that was athletic and vigorous, but not rough. He said "she never said ‘No’ or stopped" and testified that everything she said was a lie.

"It is a full-blown lie among many lies," he said when asked about the chokehold allegation. "How anyone could believe that me, as a prideful person, would highlight my shortcomings."

They also showed surveillance video in court that they said appeared to show the woman kiss McGregor’s arm and hug him after they left the hotel room. Farrell said she looked "happy, happy, happy."

McGregor added he would appeal the decision.

"I am disappointed that the jury did not hear all the evidence that the DPP reviewed. I am with my family now, focused on my future. Thank you to all my support worldwide," he wrote on X.
