The Houston Texans have pledged $500,000 to the community after a deadly flash flood in Texas Hill Country claimed the lives of at least 27 people, including children, Friday.

The Texans released a statement Saturday, adding the donation will provide support and resources for the communities "impacted by the devastating flooding."

"We are heartbroken by the loss and damage that our neighbors in the Texas Hill Country have endured. We are especially devastated to hear about the children who are still missing, and we are praying they are reunited with their families soon," the statement said.

"Our hearts will remain with everyone affected and, in addition to our donation, we will continue to support the search, rescue and recovery efforts in the coming weeks."

Panic ensued Friday night when more than two dozen campers from Camp Mystic, an all-girls private Christian camp in Hunt, Texas, were reported missing. There were 750 attendees at the camp when the flood hit.

Anne Hunt confirmed to Fox News Digital that her daughter Janie was one of the campers killed in the flood. Renee Smajstrla was identified as another deceased camper. 

On Saturday, Kerr County announced the flooding killed 27 people, nine of whom were children. The Kerr County Sheriff's Office said that more than 850 uninjured people and eight injured people had been evacuated as of Saturday morning. 

The Kerr County Sheriff's Office is encouraging those with missing loved ones to call the Red Cross at 1-800-733-2767 for information.

On Saturday, July 5, Beckham shared two posts via her Instagram Stories offering her fellow Spice Girls members Melanie Brown — best known as Mel B — congratulations on her wedding to Rory McPhee. (The pair wed the same day.)

“Congratulations @officialmelb and @rorymcphee on your special day!” she captioned a video of herself and the rest of the Spice Girls — Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Melanie Chisholm. “I couldn’t be more excited for you both and wish you a lifetime of happiness! Kisses xx.”

Beckham also shared a photo of herself and Brown at an event together and captioned it, “Sending you love @officialmelb. @rorymcphee is a very lucky man!”

Mel B Says Fellow Spice Girls Will ‘Of Course’ Be Invited To Her Wedding

Brown and McPhee tied the knot at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London after a three-year engagement. Brown and Beckham’s former bandmate Bunton also attended the ceremony, and the Mirror reported Bunton was set to perform at the wedding.

The wedding is a happy celebration for Brown, who has been open about her history with abuse and a 2014 attempt to take her own life. McPhee has played a huge role in her recovery and growth since then, she’s shared.

“Everything’s come full circle,” she exclusively told Us Weekly in May of her decision to return to the United States to host America’s Got Talent. “I never thought I’d be coming back to the U.S. It did have a little bit of an icky feeling — especially L.A., because I’d gone through so much and divorced here. [But] I’m falling in love with it again because it’s on my terms, with a lot of freedom, self-love and self-care.”

Brown, 50, also said the pair bonded as McPhee, 37, helped her take care of her hair following her 2018 divorce from Stephen Belafonte.

“Leaving that 10-year relationship, I was not looking to be in another. I was all about my kids, making sure they [were] OK and on their healing journey. Rory, a lovely family friend, is a hairdresser, so he was nurturing my curls back. When I left my ex, I cut my hair off and dyed it blonde. I wanted to get rid of anything that made me think of [the relationship],” she explained.

“So I’m like, ‘Can you come and help me?’ As [Rory] was nurturing my curls, he was nurturing my belief in love again and trust — which is a huge thing for me because the person I loved and trusted turned out to be the worst mistake I ever made,” she continued. “Up until two years ago, I was like, ‘You can find somebody else. I’m too broken.’ Rory goes, ‘Melanie, I’m not going anywhere. Because I absolutely love you.’”

Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice), Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice), Mel B (Scary Spice), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice) and Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) formed the Spice Girls in 1994 and went on to become one of the most beloved music groups of all time.

The band was originally called Touch, but they later changed their name to Spice after cowriting a song titled “Sugar and Spice.” However, they once again altered the name to the one that eventually stuck, Spice Girls, after discovering that another artist already used the moniker Spice.

The British girl group released their debut single, “Wannabe,” in July 1996. As their popularity skyrocketed, their first album, Spice, followed in November of that year. The Spice Girls — who adopted their nicknames from Top of the Pops magazine — went on to drop a slew of hits, including “Spice Up Your Life,” “Who Do You Think You Are” and “Stop.”

Halliwell announced her intentions to leave the band in May 1998. As the members of the group pursued solo careers and their personal lives flourished, the Spice Girls took an indefinite hiatus in December 2000. Seven years later, all five of the women revealed their plans to reunite for a worldwide tour. They gathered again in August 2012 to perform a medley of their greatest hits at the closing ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.

Israel rejected Hamas' proposed changes to the latest Gaza hostage and ceasefire deal, but will send negotiators to Qatar on Sunday to try to close remaining gaps, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office said Saturday.

Why it matters: While key hurdles remain, the resumption of indirect talks in Qatar is a significant step toward a potential ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

• The two parties haven't engaged in negotiations since the previous round of talks collapsed six weeks ago.

Driving the news: President Trump has been pressuring both Israel and Hamas — through Qatari and Egyptian mediators — to agree to a deal that includes a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza and the release of 10 living hostages and 18 bodies.

• He wants to see some progress by Monday, when he plans to meet with Netanyahu at the White House.
• Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One on Friday night that he's "very optimistic" about the chances of getting a deal next week.

What they're saying: "The changes Hamas wants to make in the Qatari proposal are unacceptable," the Israeli prime minister's office said in a statement.

• Still, Netanyahu agreed to Qatar's invitation for "proximity talks" with Hamas.
• The statement said the Israeli negotiating team will depart for Doha on Sunday, and emphasized the talks will be "based on the Qatari proposal that Israel has agreed to."

Catch up quick: Hamas said Friday that its response to the proposed ceasefire and hostage deal "can be characterized as positive" and that the Palestinian militant group is ready to begin implementation talks.

• But Hamas also gave Qatari mediators three reservations it wants to address in indirect talks with Israel and the U.S.
• Once the ceasefire begins, Hamas asked for the UN to take back control of humanitarian aid delivery in Gaza. It demanded that the Israel and U.S.-backed Gaza Humanitarian Fund no longer be part of the aid delivery.
• It also wants the IDF to pull back to the positions it held before the March ceasefire collapsed.

Israel has rejected those demands.

Between the lines: Under the current proposal, Israel and Hamas would hold indirect talks during the 60-day ceasefire to negotiate terms for a permanent end to the war.

• The U.S., Qatar and Egypt would commit to extending the truce beyond 60 days if more time is needed.
• Hamas is pushing for a stronger U.S. guarantee that Israel won't be able to unilaterally resume fighting after 60 days.
