Trinity Rodman rips former NBA star dad for ‘joke’ apology after opening up about strained relationship

Trinity Rodman, the daughter of five-time NBA champion Dennis Rodman, called out her father for the "joke" apology he posted on social media after an interview the soccer star gave earlier this week when she spoke out about their strained relationship.

Appearing on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast, Trinity spoke openly about their relationship and said the NBA Hall of Famer has largely been absent from her life.

"He’s not a dad. Maybe by blood, but nothing else," she said.

The interview prompted the former Chicago Bulls star to issue his own apology on social media, claiming that he’s previously been told not to attend her games and that Trinity had been told to ignore his repeated attempts to contact her.

"Sorry I wasn’t the Dad you wanted me to be but either way I still tried and I still Try and Never will Stop. I will keep Trying even when you’re being told as an adult not to respond to my phone calls. I will try even when it’s difficult and if it takes a long time.

"I’m always here And tell you all the time rather it’s your voice or voicemail how proud I am. I always had one wish and it was I wish my kids would call me and come see me. Hopefully one day I can get that. I’m here and I’m still trying pick up the phone you have my number, You see me calling, I’m still here."

DENNIS RODMAN OFFERS APOLOGY TO SOCCER STAR DAUGHTER AFTER SHE RIPS HIM ON PODCAST

Unsurprisingly, the public apology was not received well by the U.S. women’s national team star.

"A joke," she wrote to her Instagram story Thursday. "The response alone. And the attention. Wiping my hands with it and I’m done. Thank you."

Trinity, who also plays for the Washington Spirit in the National Women's Soccer League, called her father an "extremely selfish human being" during the lengthy interview.

"I think everything has always been about him. He's gone through s---, but at the same time, I'm like, he loves the spotlight. He loves the cameras. He loves bringing his children on stage and being like, ‘Oh, these are my kids.’ All that stuff and even the mind … the mind f---, but like, for me emotionally, he's put me through, like, oh my gosh."

Trinity’s mother, Michelle Moyer, divorced Dennis Rodman in 2012. In the podcast, she said her mother tried to shield her and her brother, DJ Rodman, who plays in the NBA's G League, from their father’s chaotic lifestyle growing up.

Oklahoma measure seeks to make school district superintendents an elected position

Oklahoma will consider a new measure to make the role of school district superintendent an elected position in response to a spate of controversial situations involving scholastic leaders, Fox News Digital has learned.

There have been allegations and news reports about several issues: the refusal to remove "pornographic books" from school libraries, the dismissal of a teacher for failure to comply with a COVID-19 face mask mandate, and media coverage of "nothing [being] done" in response to reports a school football coach was bragging about sexual conquests with parents.

In 2021, Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt called firings of mask-averse teachers "preposterous" and said their talents are needed more than ever.

"This is about a school district not following state law — this isn’t a debate about masks," he said, after the Oklahoma City district reportedly fired multiple educators, adding the state previously banned such firings.

STATE SCHOOLS CHIEF BILLS KAMALA HARRIS $474M FOR EDUCATION COSTS OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION

In February, Oklahoma State Superintendent of Schools Ryan Walters — who is an elected official himself — threatened to lower the accreditation of Edmond, Oklahoma, schools if it didn’t remove the books "The Glass Castle" and "Kite Runner" from its high school libraries.

Walters called the inaction "subversion of accountability," though Edmond’s superintendent said the state lacked authority to remove the books based on a 1997 district policy.

In another case, in Edmond, Republican Sen. Ted Cruz from neighboring Texas, among others, blasted videos showing a portion of a school fundraiser wherein students were licking each other's toes.

In a public statement, school officials appeared to celebrate the event:

"This afternoon, Deer Creek High School announced a grand total of $152,830.38 raised for Not Your Average Joe Coffee, an organization created to 'inspire our community by including students and adults with intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities," school staff wrote.

"All participants in the assembly were students who signed up for the game(s) they played ahead of time. No Deer Creek faculty or staff participated in any of the games during this Clash of Classes assembly," a portion of the latter part of the statement read.

LANDMARK BILL TARGETS HIDDEN FOREIGN FUNDING IN SCHOOLS AS OFFICIALS WARN OF CCP INFLUENCE

Walters called the fundraiser "filth," and Cruz said it was "child abuse."

In another district on the Arkansas line, now-former Muldrow Superintendent Leon Ashlock resigned after driving drunk and crashing a school vehicle on Creek Turnpike. Two 100-proof bottles of cinnamon schnapps were found in its console, according to KOCO.

Walters told Fox News Digital on Wednesday that a case involving a school’s response to an athletic director’s criminal exploits with a student also drew his attention.

"Even in a conservative state like Oklahoma, where voters have overwhelmingly made clear they want the radical progressive policies of the left out of public schools, we continually see superintendents defying their will, ignoring their concerns, and refusing to take action necessary to improve education outcomes while protecting Oklahoma children," Walters said.

"This has to end."

"And, the best way to do that is by requiring superintendents to be elected by the voters."

Walters called the legislation a common-sense solution to efforts to improve education for Sooner State children.

Walters previously made headlines when he led his state in becoming the first to appropriate funding toward supplying a Bible to each school. The official said the move blunts "woke curricula" and provides students a "historical document" that the founders used to form their government.

Jason Kelce is mastering the "Girl Dad" title.

All three daughters were photographed wearing pink sweaters that said "Big Sister." One daughter was covering her ears, another smiling and the youngest crying.

"I feel like we captured a very accurate representation of how each of the girls feel about getting another sister. At least Ellie, mom and dad are on the same page!" Kylie wrote on Instagram.

It's not yet known how far along Kylie is or when daughter No. 4 is due.

Jason and Kylie Kelce have been married since April 2018. The two met on a dating app earlier in the decade, and Jason has joked he was "blacked out drunk" on their first date.

Kylie recently ripped her husband for his "dumba--" advice on how to spice it up in the bedroom, where he told men to "wear some really skintight pants" and "grab her right on the a--."

"If I had to guess based on my husband’s dumb-- response to this question," Kylie said in her own video, "I would say that he’s probably going to experience a spell of his wife saying that she’s not interested."

Well, it appears the two are just fine.

Kelce retired earlier this year after spending all 13 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles.

In his illustrious career, he made seven Pro Bowls and was a six-time first-team All-Pro selection, winning the 2018 Super Bowl and playing in another, which he lost to younger brother Travis.

He played in 193 games in his NFL career, second most in team history. He made 156 consecutive starts, a franchise record. He has since joined ESPN's "Monday Night Football," while his podcast with his brother, "New Heights," continues to grow in popularity.
