Eagles' CJ Gardner-Johnson flips off Commanders fans after ejection

Philadelphia Eagles defensive back C.J. Gardner-Johnson had one last parting gift for Washington Commanders fans at Northwest Stadium on Sunday: two middle fingers.

Gardner-Johnson received a second unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in the second half and was kicked out of the game. He appeared to get into a scuffle with Commanders wide receiver Dyami Brown and was pushed in the helmet. Gardner-Johnson still received the penalty.

He responded to the incident on X.

"Respectfully got kicked out for nothing, I play with passion and fire!! Guys was chirping all day what u expect !!" he wrote.

The safety had three interceptions, a forced fumble and 57 total tackles for the Eagles this season coming into the game against the Commanders.

He added another interception to his total against Washington.

Losing Gardner-Johnson may have been as detrimental to the Eagles’ defense as losing Jalen Hurts was to the offense. Philadelphia led by 10 points when Gardner-Johnson was ejected and scored another three when they got the ball back after a fumble.

Jayden Daniels threw three of his five touchdown passes in the fourth quarter. The Commanders scored 22 points in the final frame and stunned the Eagles, 36-33.

"We didn't do enough," Eagles running back Saquon Barkley said. "We left a lot of plays out there, including myself."

The loss snapped a 10-game winning streak.

Jayden Daniels throws 5 touchdown passes as Commanders storm back to stun Eagles

The Washington Commanders never lost hope and were able to dig out from five turnovers to turn around and stun the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, 36-33.

Jayden Daniels had five touchdown passes in the game, three of which came in the fourth quarter. The Commanders were down 27-14 as the final quarter started. He threw a 4-yard touchdown pass to Olamide Zaccheaus to inch the team closer.

The Commanders forced the Eagles to punt on their next drive. Daniels then found Zaccheaus for a 49-yard touchdown pass to take the lead. For another six minutes, Washington was in control but back-to-back field goals from Eagles kicker Jake Elliott gave Philadelphia a lead with under two minutes to go.

Daniels then led Washington down the field on nine plays and found wide receiver Jamison Crowder with enough space in the end zone to make the go-ahead grab with six seconds left in the game. The Commanders took the three-point lead and they won the game.

Daniels was 24-of-39 with 258 passing yards. Along with his five touchdown passes, he also threw two interceptions.

Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. had two fumbles lost and wide receiver Dyami Brown had one, contributing to the large turnover number.

But Washington ultimately benefited from Philadelphia losing quarterback Jalen Hurts in the first quarter due to a concussion. Kenny Pickett subbed in for him and had 143 passing yards, a touchdown pass, an interception and three sacks.

Eagles running back Saquon Barkley had 150 rushing yards and two touchdowns. But the Eagles’ offense looked a bit anemic after scoring 21 points in the first quarter.

A.J. Brown led the team with eight catches for 97 yards and a touchdown.

Washington improved to 10-5. It’s their first 10-win season since 2012. The Eagles fell to 12-3.

NFL refs face backlash for egregious clock stoppage in closing moments of Commanders-Saints game

NFL officials took heat on Sunday for an unwarranted clock stoppage during a game between the Washington Commanders and New Orleans Saints.

On 4th-and-3 with 17 seconds left, Saints quarterback Spencer Rattler threw a pass to Foster Moreau for the conversion. The pass got New Orleans to Washington’s 1-yard line. As Rattler and the team rushed to the line of scrimmage, a sideline judge inexplicably called for the clock to be stopped.

The clock stopped for at least three seconds as the Saints got to the line. Rattler spiked the ball to officially stop the clock. There were three seconds left on the clock after Rattler spiked the ball.

On the next play, Rattler threw a touchdown pass to Moreau. The Saints attempted a 2-point conversion to try to win the game but failed. Washington won the game, 20-19.

NFL fans noticed the clock fumble. Washington (-8) was considered the favorite going in, according to FOX Sports.

Referee Shawn Hochuli was asked about the errant clock stoppage.

"The covering official mistakenly stopped the clock in that situation," Hochuli told a pool reporter. "The clock should not have stopped."

Hochuli added that the situation was not reviewable. He was then asked whether he and the other officials in the crew were "aware of the mistake."

"That’s all I have for you," he said. "The covering official mistakenly stopped the clock at nine seconds, and it is not reviewable."

Washington moved to 9-5 with the win and New Orleans dropped to 5-9.

NFL legend Joe Theismann gives free cars to service members for Army-Navy game

College Football Hall of Famer quarterback Joe Theismann gave two free cars to U.S. military veterans Friday to celebrate Saturday's 125th Army-Navy Game

Theismann, who played against both Army and Navy multiple times during his decorated career at Notre Dame, showed up at the National Mall in Washington, D.C., Friday to deliver the gifts.

JD VANCE CONFIRMS DANIEL PENNY WILL ATTEND ARMY-NAVY GAME AFTER ACQUITTAL IN SUBWAY CHOKEHOLD TRIAL

Theismann told Fox News Digital in an exclusive interview how "special" the giveaway is to him as someone who has great admiration for military members, especially on the eve of a historic anniversary for the Army-Navy game.

"The service members will have transportation which they sorely need," Theismann said.

Theismann says the Army-Navy matchup is his favorite game this year.

"It's a competitive rivalry, it always has been," Theismann said. "When we played the academy, there's never any quit, we managed to run up some scores and put some numbers up, but it didn't matter to the academy. They were there fighting from kickoff to the end of the game."

No. 19 Army (11-1) won the American Athletic Conference championship with a 35-14 victory against Tulane Dec. 6. Navy (8-3) started 6-0 this season.

This year's Army-Navy game will also feature in-person appearances by President-elect Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance.

Vance also announced in a post on X that Marine veteran Daniel Penny will be joining him and Trump in their suite at the game. Penny has recently drawn national attention after being acquitted for manslaughter for protecting New York City subway riders from Jordan Neely.

This will also mark Trump’s fifth time attending the Army-Navy game. He first attended in 2016 and appeared three times during his first presidency.

Commanders' Austin Ekeler says he suffered memory loss after second concussion this season

Washington Commanders running back Austin Ekeler said he experienced memory loss after suffering his second concussion in just two months.

During a radio interview on Tuesday, Ekeler spoke candidly about his concussion symptoms after he was injured in the final seconds of Washington’s 34-26 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Nov. 24.

"I didn’t even remember how I got off the field," he recalled in an interview with 106.7 The Fan.

"I had short-term memory loss. I remember my wife was sitting in the room and I’m getting evaluated by our medical staff in the back room. That’s when I started to remember things."

Ekeler, in his first season in Washington, said he knew instantly that he was concussed. He said the concussion against Dallas was similar to the Week 3 concussion he sustained against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Ekeler was placed on injured reserve Saturday, but with the bye week, he could return in time for Washington’s game against the New Orleans Saints on Dec. 15.

He said Tuesday he’s "trending in the right direction" and not "far off" from passing concussion protocol.

Ekeler has 355 rushing yards and four touchdowns in his first season with the Commanders after spending his first nine years in the NFL with the Los Angeles Chargers.

Judge makes ruling on bail for Ravens fan accused of brutal assault on Commanders fans: report

Baltimore Ravens fan who was caught on video attacking two Commanders fans in October will remain in jail while he awaits his trial after a Maryland judge denied his bail for a second time because of his substance abuse issues.

Baltimore Circuit Judge Yolanda A. Tanner ruled Tuesday to deny bail for 24-year-old Jack Callis after finding that no viable options for inpatient care were presented in court, The Baltimore Banner reported.

"Instead of using the time to tell me what’s new and what’s available, it was just a catfight today," Tanner reportedly said. "I’m just incredibly disappointed in what was presented by counsel."

District Judge LaTina Burse Greene denied Callis’ bail during his first hearing on Oct. 23, but said she would consider releasing him to an inpatient treatment program with home detention, according to the report.

Callis turned himself in to Baltimore Police on Oct. 21, just days after he was accused of assaulting two Washington Commanders fans. The incident, which was caught on video and went viral on social media, showed Callis walking up to the men in the street before immediately attacking them.

Callis, who was wearing a Lamar Jackson jersey, knocked one of the men out, according to the video, and the second victim was repeatedly punched by Callis and then thrown against a wall. He currently faces one count of first-degree assault and three counts of second-degree assault.

During his first bail hearing, Callis admitted to daily cocaine use for the past four years, including the day of the attack, CBS News reported. A history of assaults was also revealed during the hearing.

Callis faces up to 25 years in prison for the first-degree assault charge and up to 10 years in prison for each second-degree assault charge.

Commanders, Titans players get into heated kerfuffle amid early domination

The Washington Commanders were, well, in command early in their Week 13 game against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, going up 21-0 in the first quarter.

Following one point-after kick, Commanders and Titans players had to be separated as tensions climbed. Titans defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons and Commanders offensive lineman Sam Cosmi appeared to be the two players mostly involved in the brouhaha.

"Now we have shades of Michigan and Ohio State," CBS broadcaster Andrew Carlton said, referencing the incident that occurred after Saturday’s game between the two rivals.

Washington already was up 21-0 in the game through the first quarter.

Jayden Daniels’ touchdown pass to Terry McLaurin made it so. Daniels and Brian Robinson Jr. each had a rushing touchdown in the game as well.

RAVENS STAR ADMITS 'TALL TASK' STOPPING SAQUON BARKLEY THIS WEEK, BUT DERRICK HENRY COULD BE THE SOLUTION

Washington scored in the second quarter on a second Daniels-to-McLaurin touchdown pass.

The Commanders hoped to keep pace with the Philadelphia Eagles for the NFC East lead. Washington lost against the Dallas Cowboys last week in a shootout at home. They entered the game against the Titans on a three-game losing streak.

Tennessee has had a rough season, and it’s looking like a high draft pick for the organization by the time this season ends.

The Titans have won two out of their last seven and have three wins overall. They upset the Houston Texans last week to snap a two-game losing streak.

Cowboys score 24 points in 4th quarter for narrow victory over Commanders in bizarre game

The Dallas Cowboys defeated the Washington Commanders, 34-26, on Sunday in their Week 12 NFC East battle. And that’s probably the easiest way to describe what occurred in the game

The score was 3-3 at halftime and Dallas took a 10-9 lead with 4:40 left in the third quarter when Cooper Rush found Jalen Tolbert for a 6-yard touchdown. It seemed like it was going to be a defensive battle with no real scoring going on for either team.

Then, the fourth quarter happened.

The Cowboys took a 20-9 lead over the Commanders after Rush found tight end Luke Schoonmaker for a 22-yard touchdown. It seemed like it was enough for the Cowboys to close out the game as there was only 5:16 left.

Jayden Daniels sparked a roaring comeback. He found Zach Ertz for a 4-yard touchdown pass to cut the deficit to three.

Dallas struck back with a special teams play. Austin Seibert kicked the ball down the field. Returner KaVontae Turpin fumbled the ball initially, picked it up, made a spin move and then was gone. He galloped 99 yards for the score and the Cowboys had a 10-point lead.

The Commanders drove down the field in six plays to set up Seibert for a 51-yard field goal. Dallas went three-and-out on its next possession. But inexplicably made a bad mistake on defense.

Daniels found wide receiver Terry McLaurin and the veteran found space around Cowboys defenders and took the ball into the end zone. One play, 86 yards. Washington could have tied the game but Seibert missed the point-after attempt. The Commanders were down 27-26.

Seibert tried the onside kick to recover it, but the ball bounced to Dallas player Juanyeh Thomas, who for some reason returned the ball 43 yards for a touchdown. It gave the Commanders one final drive. It would have been an even bigger calamity if Daniels found similar magic as he did against the Chicago Bears.

AARON RODGERS HAS RESISTED INJURY SCANS TO AVOID BEING BENCHED: REPORT

Luckily, for the Cowboys, Daniels’ Hail Mary attempt was batted down and the Cowboys picked up the win.

The two teams combined for 31 points in the fourth quarter.

Rush was solid enough to get the win for the Cowboys. He was 24-of-32 with 247 passing yards and two touchdown passes. Schoonmaker had three catches for 55 yards. Tolbert had two catches for 22 yards.

CeeDee Lamb led Dallas with 10 catches for 67 yards.

The Commanders had three turnovers. Daniels had two interceptions – one to Chauncey Golston and the other to Israel Mukuamu. Commanders tight end John Bates also fumbled.

The rookie quarterback was 25-of-38 with 275 yards and two touchdown passes. He also led the team with 74 rushing yards and had a rushing touchdown.

McLaurin had five catches for 102 yards.

Dallas improved to 4-7 on the season and Washington fell to 7-5.

Redskins' old logo cancellation a 'case of woke gone wrong,' Sen Daines says

Sen. Steve Daines, R-Mont., explained Wednesday why he decided to support a bill that would allow the Washington Commanders to use RFK Stadium as their site for a new building.

Daines said in an appearance on Fox News Channel’s "America Reports" he decided to support the measure following "good faith negotiations" that the Commanders and the NFL would honor the Blackfeet chief logo that the organization used for decades before switching monikers.

"We were calling out leaders in case of really, woke gone wrong. The irony that they were canceling Native American culture as the DEI movement went way too far," Daines said. "This is honoring a Blackfeet chief who was born in Montana. He is highly esteemed. The Blackfeet tribe of Montana, their current chairman and tribal council signed a letter in strong support to bring the logo back. It honors Indian Country.

"We have good discussions with the NFL and with the Commanders. There’s good faith in negotiations going forward that’s going to allow this logo to be used again. Perhaps revenues going to a foundation that could help Native Americans in sports and so forth. We’re making good progress and, based on the good faith negotiations, I made a decision to support this bill yesterday in the committee."

Blackie Wetzel was credited with creating the portrait of John Two Guns White Calf in 1971, which the Washington Redskins used in 1972, Fox News Digital previously reported. The descendants of Two Guns White Calf also called for the image to be back in the NFL.

The Energy & Natural Resources Committee voted, 17-2, in favor of sending the full bill to the Senate on Tuesday, according to the Bozeman Daily Chronicle.

Blackie’s son, Don, and his grandson, Ryan, both supported the use of the logo, according to the Daily Montanan.

"(Don Wetzel) had a vision to use the proud symbol to benefit his people," Daines told committee members on Tuesday, via The Daily Montanan. "This morning, I spoke to his son, Ryan Wetzel, about the ongoing negotiations and the progress that has been made.…

"I am proud to say, after speaking with my constituents, that they are satisfied with the ongoing negotiations with the team and feel optimistic about the direction that they are heading. Therefore, I will support the bill and vote in favor of its passage out of committee with the condition that the team follows through on the commitments made to the family."
