Sia and Harry Jowsey’s apparent friendship is something of a surprise — even to Us.
Sia, 49, was spotted hanging out with Jowsey, 28, on Saturday, July 19, while enjoying a meal at Ca Del Sole in Los Angeles. In photos obtained by Us Weekly, the duo held hands during the outing.
The “Chandelier” singer looked casually cool in a black two-piece with a matching blazer and leopard-print ankle boots. For glam, Sia wore her signature platinum locks in two braids. Jowsey, for his part, sported an olive blazer with coordinating slacks and oversized sunglasses.
While neither Sia (full name Sia Kate Isobelle Furler) nor Jowsey have detailed their friendship, the reality TV alum is gearing up to search for The One. Netflix announced earlier this week that Jowsey, best known for stints on Too Hot to Handle, Perfect Match and Dancing With the Stars, will lead a new docuseries titled Let’s Marry Harry.
“I’m looking forward to doing this alongside one of my best friends, Alex Cooper. She is a big sister to me, and I know she’ll help me to not be a silly sausage while keeping me grounded,” Jowsey said in a statement shared with Tudum, referring to show producer Cooper, 30. “I haven’t necessarily been the best at keeping relationships, but I knew if I was going to give love one last shot after all the work I’ve been putting into myself, I’d need Alex to help keep me in check while searching for a potential future wife.”

Jowsey previously told Us Weekly what he was looking for in a romantic partner.
“I love my friends, but I’m over them. I just want to have a girlfriend and grow old together and be us and have a little family and just have someone that I can build with and grow with,” Jowsey exclusively told Usin May 2024. “There’s nothing better than having your best friend, your lover with you.”
He added, “Being in a relationship is so special, and I really missed that feeling. Hopefully one day. The premise of [my ‘Boyfriend Material’ podcast] is to grow together and to learn to become boyfriend material. I’m a work in progress.”
Jowsey hoped that, through his podcast, he could both get and give advice about dating and relationships.
“Hopefully, I can get married, and then it turns into daddy advice,” he quipped to Us.
Sia, for her part, has been single since March, when she filed for divorce from husband Dan Bernard. The now-exes, who share a baby named Somersault Wonder, married in 2022. Sia is also mom to two teenagers, whom she adopted in 2019 after they aged out of the foster care system.
Olympian Shaun White was shocked when he first earned $1 million as a bona fide professional athlete.
“I was so baffled by it. I was probably 14 [and] I had signed my first deal that was north of $1 million,” White, 38, recalled on the Tuesday, July 15, episode of the SoFi “Richer Lives” podcast. “I was like, ‘OK, so that’s good.’ I’d heard that number in kid moves, but I never really assumed it was something coming my way.”
He continued, “I remember it being, like, not a big deal to me. I don’t know why. I remember being like, ‘OK, that’s great. So, off to the skate park then.’”
White started skateboarding professionally when he was a teenager. (White notably later found success in snowboarding, as well.)
“You can win competitions, so there’s prize money there,” White said of his income. “Then, you would basically do endorsement deals. I quickly learned that I wouldn’t set myself up for the future by just winning competitions. You could really do well, and many were, but you needed to have sponsorships to pay the bills and to set yourself up for the future.”
White would also be able to earn money through “photo incentives” with his brand partners.
“Say I have, like, three sponsors [and] each one of those sponsors would have a certain rate for the photo incentive,” White said. “If I was pictured in a magazine, you could clip your photo of that magazine, and you would mail it in. If I had had a page in a magazine, that was worth like $500. If I had a small mention, that was worth $100 [and] a full cover was $1,000.”
White further revealed that competition prizes only amounted to “15 percent” of his total earnings, while sponsored deals made up the rest.
“Most of the money I made was endorsement deals within the industry and there were things outside of that industry, as well,” he said. “I had a big deal with a drink company or PlayStation. I started to do some things when I was older, where I was like, ‘Look, I’m flying all the way here to do this competition,’ so I started asking some of my sponsors to match my prize money, which helped things escalate.”
Once White’s earnings started adding up, he began splurging on luxurious goods.
“I was buying Lamborghinis. I bought this new house. I had long hair, [and] I was really feeling myself,” he quipped. “It was until, probably, my second Olympics [in] 2010 that I really started to get a grasp of what was going on. I was like, ‘OK, it’s time to figure it out.’”
White, who even turned down a handful of seven-figure paydays to keep his integrity in the sport, ultimately retired in 2022 and went on to launch several businesses of his own.
“I think my dream was just to be comfortable and take care of my family,” he stressed on Tuesday. “That was really the biggest goal I had in mind.”
“We’re both finally back from vacation at the same time,” Huda, 24, wrote over a photo of her and her daughter, Arleigh, 5, via Instagram Stories on Sunday, July 20. “We needed these hugs. Happiest girls in the world.”
Huda also shared a sweet video of their reunion, in which she woke up a sleeping Arleigh — who was clearly overjoyed to see her mom. The two hugged and laughed together as a touching song played.
Huda also shared the video to TikTok, writing, “Baby girl is finally back from her vacation and so is mommy, this is the day I’ve been waiting for.”
The Love Island USA finalist — who lost the prize money to winners Amaya Espinal and Bryan Arenales — had been in Fiji filming the show over the last six weeks, but returned to the States last week. On Tuesday, July 15, she spoke to Us Weekly exclusively about being a single mom to Arleigh, whom she shares with ex Noah Sheline, and why it was important for her to put herself out there on the reality dating series.
“When I did the interview for Love Island, I had the mindset of, ‘I’m a mom. That’s fine. I’m a single mother. That’s also fine.’ That doesn’t mean that you have to halt your life or you have to stop your dreams from coming true,” she told Us. “She still does have a 100 percent of my focus, but now that she’s a little bit older, it’s easier for me to navigate self-care and doing things that I wanna do.”

Huda said she made sure her daughter knew how much she missed her by recording voice notes and videos for her to listen to and watch while she was away. She also left gifts for Arleigh.
“I wanted to make sure that she was well taken care of and that she didn’t forget that her mommy loves her,” she said. “[And going on the show], I wanted people to understand that you can be a single mother and still do the things you wanna do in life. It doesn’t make you a bad mom.”
Although Huda connected with both Jeremiah Brown and Chris Seeley in the villa, she ultimately came home single — but with 4 million followers on Instagram and 5.4 million on TikTok.
Huda told Us, “I think it was a good decision [to go on the show], honestly. I mean, I can provide for my daughter more than I could ever before. And that is truly a blessing. I’m more than thankful for that. Did I ever think that that was gonna happen? No, not at all. The whole goal of walking in there was to find the love of my life.”
Huda added that she has a “really, really good coparenting relationship” with Sheline and that he was supportive of her going on Love Island USA.
“People go on shows all the time, and it’s just because this is the one show where you don’t have your phone, it doesn’t make it wrong. It’s just like taking a mini vacation,” she insisted.
In a tell-all interview on “Call Her Daddy” Thursday, July 17, Huda explained that she shares primary custody of her daughter but has her “the majority of the time,” Sunday to Friday.
“I’m with her 24/7,” Huda told host Alex Cooper. “I do the pickups and drop-offs at school. I pack her lunches. You know, I’m there to give her a pep talk if the kids are being mean to her in class. Like, I’m there for her through and through.”
Nikki Reed thinks it’s important to teach her and husband Ian Somerhalder’s kids about the importance of privacy — but not because they’re famous.
“It’s a responsibility of parents to teach children how to be mindful human beings, how to respect people’s privacy — and I’m starting to see schools do that now,” Reed, 37, said in Us Weekly’s exclusive clip from her upcoming appearance on Dear Media’s “The Skinny Confidential: Him and Her Show” podcast hosted Lauryn Evarts Bosstick and Michael Bosstick. “Privacy is our greatest form of currency in a world where everything lives out there. We are [in] a culture of oversharing.”
Reed used the conversation about privacy as an “educational moment” for podcast listeners.
“I’ll just say, the world changed a lot with the invention of the iPhone,” she added. “I think as human beings, technology has moved so fast and we have not put parameters in place to continue to view ourselves and other people as human beings.”
This is something she and Somerhalder, 46, are teaching their two kids: 7-year-old daughter Bodhi and her 2-year-old brother, whose name has not been revealed.
“My goal and mission is to not just sit around and feel sorry or complain about what the consequence of that might be but instead take it as a moment for education,” the actress continued. “We have to talk to and teach our children how to be conscious of other people.”

She added, “I’m not talking about celebrities. I’m talking about in general.”
Reed explained that when she and her husband were in high school and attended a party, they never had “to worry about being filmed and having it put on social media.” This, of course, is not the case in today’s world.
Overall, Reed noted that this was a “parenting fail” that should be instilled in kids as they are growing up.
Though their love story began in Hollywood, Reed and Somerhalder, who married in April 2015, moved to a farm out of Los Angeles after becoming parents to focus on raising their kids.
“Right now, raising babies is the most important thing for me,” Reed said during a January 2024 interview with NewBeauty, noting that her life was “so busy and so wonderful” at the time.

Paula Patton is hoping her son, Julian, will one day join the family business.
“You know, he loves to sing and he loves directing,” Patton, 49, exclusively told Us Weekly of her 15-year-old son on Wednesday, July 16, while attending Lifetime’s Summer Soiree at Calabra Rooftop Restaurant & Bar at Santa Monica Proper Hotel.
“He’s in film school, like he’s not — at this school, they have a film program, even though it’s a high school,” she continued. “And so he’s like, ‘Mom, can I be a director and a singer?’ And I was like, ‘You can do whatever you want.’ So that’s his journey right now.”
Patton shares Julian with ex-husband Robin Thicke. The pair were a couple for over two decades, eventually saying “I do” in 2005 after years of dating. They separated in 2014 and finalized their divorce in 2015.
“There’s so much emotion when you first break up, and there’s so much stuff that spills over,” Thicke told People of his coparenting relationship with Patton in 2021. “But time heals those wounds, and she’s an incredible person.”
He continued, “Once you can put yourself second, your son rises to the top and you go, ‘It’s not about us anymore.’ We’re very lucky the way everything has worked out.”
While the pair’s son continues to explore a potential Hollywood career, Patton says there’s one talent he has already mastered — vacation planning.
“It was incredible. Talk about faith,” Patton told Us of their recent trip to Iceland. “He’s 15 years old … He wanted to plan the whole thing. He’s like, ‘Trust me, mom.’ And he literally laid out the entire itinerary, every single day. What we were doing — where we were even having lunch and dinner. And I just, I didn’t even know how you spelled half these places, more or less said them. You know?”
She added, “Sounds so wild. And we just walked on faith and Julian took us, my mom and I.”
While Patton continues to enjoy life as a mom, she’s also focused on her career, which includes starring in the new, faith-based movie Finding Faith. The film centers around a woman who is determined to rebuild her life after a tragedy.
“I mean, it’s really about how this movie came to be — it came to me on a day when I was anxious and scared, and after I meditated and prayed I just said, ‘God, I give it to you.’ I want to walk this week as if everything is working out in my favor even though I can’t see how it’s going to, right?”
She continued, “And all of a sudden, this peace came over me. And then three hours later, my friend and neighbor, Charles Porter, called me up, and he’s like, ‘I’ve got this script for you, and it’s called Finding Faith.’ And I was like, ‘You gotta be kidding me, on this day that I actually had genuinely found it.’ And then I read it and it really mirrored, suddenly, a journey I had been on … having gone through addiction and finding a way out of it. So it was — it resonated deeply.”
Patton went on to explain that once she got sober she was able to trust that “whatever God and the universe had for me, I could handle.”

“What it’s like to have hot flashes due to medically induced menopause,” Thurston, 34, wrote via her Instagram Stories on Sunday, July 20, sharing a screenshot of her Apple Health chart.
Per a screenshot, Thurston spent eight hours and 54 minutes in bed, but she was only asleep for just over six hours.
“I have the option to add a prescription to the routine of meds I’m on, but tbh I’m just simply scared,” Thurston wrote in her caption. “Every added pill comes with a new risk for side effects. But, I might be reaching my breaking point when it comes to quality of life.”
She continued, “I’m always tired and uncomfortable.”
Thurston was diagnosed with breast cancer in February, later discovering that the malignant tissue had spread to her liver, which elevated her diagnosis to stage IV. In order to adequately treat her specific type of cancer, doctors had to put her body into early menopause.
“Slept like s*** because I’m now in medically induced menopause, which means I get hot flashes,” she said in a social media video posted in May. “Tonight I have to be social so I figured I would ease into that by being social with you guys during the day. In the meantime, show you kind of what a normal day looks like for me.”

She added at the time, “My lips have been chapped for what feels like two weeks straight. And so it’s this game of, like, catch-up and trying to just make sure I get enough water. Which I was already bad at before medication and now it’s like a true task every day to force myself to consume water. So, good morning!”
“I’m basically putting my ovaries into a temporary menopausal state (I like to say hibernation) to protect them from chemo,” Thurston said in a March Instagram update. “It will also reduce estrogen production, which is particularly important in hormonereceptor-ER+/PR+ breast cancer as estrogen can fuel cancer growth.”
Thurston and her husband, Jeff Arcuri, also plan to use a surrogate to carry any future children down the line. Us Weekly exclusively confirmed earlier in March that the pair tied the knot.
“We were wanting to plan a wedding and there’s a lot of emotions that come in with chemo and the impact and the health and we don’t know what the next year looks like,” Thurston told Us. “And one night he said, ‘I want to show you that I still love you and that I’m here to stay. I’ll get married to you tomorrow.’ We flew our parents in from Michigan and Washington State. We got our marriage license and a friend is just gonna marry us.”
“Not I got him working out with no shoes on lol his lil commentary ,” Megan, 30, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, July 19, sharing footage of the pair hitting the gym.
In the video, the rap star posed for a mirror selfie while Klay, 35, wrapped his arms around her. In one moment, the basketball pro leaned down to plant a kiss on Megan’s cheek.
Megan also provided voiceover commentary about their gym routine.
“Bitch, I have been working out with my man,” she exclaimed in her narration. “First of all, we went to the gym and we were doing these things. They said to lift this s*** up. I think he thought that I couldn’t do it, but bitch, I was very much keeping up.”

“My man came behind me and started spotting me,” she said. “It was a little heavy. I said, ‘Oh, my God, Klay, [come] help me.’”
Klay also helped Megan complete pull-up reps.
“I’m a spotter,” he explained about keeping his hands planted on her derrière while she pulled up on the bar. “I was spotting!”
Meghan, however, joked that she “didn’t think [she] needed that much assistance” with the regimen.
“I think that was his favorite part of the workout,” she joked, later adding that Klay was “put through the ringer” when they did a series of sit-ups.
Megan and Klay confirmed their romance earlier this month, making their official red carpet debut at the Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala held on Wednesday, July 16. (Megan started the organization in 2022 to support women, children, seniors and underserved communities in Houston, Texas.)

And, on top of that, raise a ton of money this evening and just do so much for so many in need.”
Jason Momoa rocked matching outfits with his kids at the world premiere of the Apple TV+ series Chief of War.
Jason, 45, wore what looked to be traditional tribal garb alongside his all-grown-up daughter, Lola, 17, and son, Nakoa-Wolf, 16, at Ko Olina Beach Park in Kapolei, Hawaii, on Friday, July 18. The actor was all smiles as he rocked an all-black ensemble under a cape and bone necklace, carrying two bone daggers in his hands.
Nakoa-Wolf wore a similar cape over a tank top and a neckpiece made of teeth, while Lola donned a brown dress with cutouts and a matching capelet.
Jason shares his kids with ex-wife Lisa Bonet, whom he announced his separation from in 2022 after a 17-year relationship. They welcomed Lola in 2007 and Nakoa-Wolf in 2008 before officially tying the knot in 2017.
The Aquaman star said raising teens is different than caring for small children, as he feels a shift in their dynamic now that Lola and Nakoa-Wolf are in high school.
“I spent a lot of time with them when they were younger, which is super important. Then they traveled with me quite a bit. But now, going into high school, they’ve got their friends and stuff,” he told People in 2024. “They still like me, which is good. I’m probably losing cool factor daily.”
He added that he was hopeful his kids would visit him on set when they had a break from school.
“I’m dying to see my kids. I get to be Dad,” he said. “I’m excited for them to get through high school, and then maybe they’ll come out, and I’ll just help them with their lives.”

Also stepping out to support Jason at the premiere of Chief of War was his girlfriend, Adria Arjona, whom he began dating last year. The actress wore an orange gown with ruffle embellishments as she posed next to Jason on the carpet.

In June 2024, a source close to the actor told Us Weekly exclusively that Momoa was happy to finally hard launch the pair’s relationship on Instagram last year.
“He couldn’t wait any longer to tell the world. Jason is in love with Adria, and he definitely sees a future with her,” the insider said. “Jason hasn’t felt this way about somebody in a long time.”
Jason and Arjona, made their first public appearance together at the SNL50: The Homecoming Concert in February. They also walked the carpet at the Cannes Film Festival in May.
“I love that I got to share such a special moment with my love and my forever favorite date @prideofgypsies ,” Arjona said of Jason in an Instagram post following their outing.
Parenting influencer Karissa Collins is detailing how she is coping with pregnancy loss in the midst of online backlash.
“I am currently, possibly, still pregnant with a missed miscarriage baby,” Collins, 41, said in a Thursday, July 17, TikTok video. “I have not fully miscarried the baby, which I found out about a month ago. I have been carrying this miscarriage … anywhere from four to six weeks.”
She added, “The baby passed six weeks ago, but it takes a long time for your body to figure it out.”
Karissa announced in a since-deleted TikTok video earlier in July that she and her husband, Mandrae Collins, were expecting their 12th baby. She later revealed that she had suffered a pregnancy loss, her fourth miscarriage overall.
“I found out in the ER about six weeks ago that there was no baby. I spent a lot of time mourning,” Karissa recalled. “I mourned this pregnancy for a while. I took a good two weeks off, got really close to God … and you want to know if you did anything wrong. I went through all those feelings.”
Karissa then went to visit her OB-GYN, who claimed “there was a baby,” but it did not have a heartbeat. The fetal tissue subsequently started to “disintegrate.”
“It takes your body a while to figure out that you don’t have a viable pregnancy and to expel [the tissue],” the social media personality explained. “There are three options that doctors give you. They give you the option of letting your body do what your body does, [which it] will expel the pregnancy … [or] the abortion pill, and the third option is a D&C.”
Karissa, who had several D&Cs in the past, opted to allow the fetal tissue to pass on its own this time.
“I always opt for letting my body do its thing,” Karissa said. “Miscarriage is not cut and dry. It’s not black and white. I think people think that when you miscarry, it’s [like], ‘Oh, it’s all gone and it’s done, and you go on with your life.’ But, you don’t. A lot of women have missed miscarriages. … It can go weeks and months.”
She continued, “At all costs, I say, ‘Always let your body do what it was meant to do. Don’t do any interventions unless an emergency is necessary.’ … I just believe the healthiest option is to do what your body was created to do.”
As Karissa dealt with her pregnancy loss, she shared a since-deleted video of several of her younger children playfully hitting her belly, which sparked widespread backlash from social media users.
“I apologize. When I posted that video, what was on other people’s minds was not on my mind at all,” she said on Thursday. “I never thought of it that way. It was a cute moment with me and my children. I didn’t think anyone would even watch it.”
Karissa noted that her kids had been squeezing her belly “like Slime and Squishmallows” as if it were a sensory toy.
“t was the funniest thing. I never wanted to forget that moment of them finding so much joy in my belly,” Karissa said. “They were not hurting me. They were not hurting anything inside of me.”
During an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Sosa, 24, joked how his Instagram DMs are full of DWTS fans suggesting which “new convicted hot felon” should be his partner.
“It was Julie Chrisley and then Karen Read. Then it was Luigi Mangione,” he quipped. “Anna is rooting for me to have Julie Chrisley next season. She was rooting for me when that whole pardon was happening. She sent me a text [that read], ‘I hope you have Julie Chrisley next season.’”
Sosa isn’t ruling out the suggestion ahead of season 34.
“I said, ‘I fear we’ll make it further than you and I did.’ I fear we could. Julie or her husband [Todd Chrisley]. Either one, we’ll make it work. [I’ll be back next season] and we’ll probably — hopefully — make it past one week. That’s the goal.”
ABC viewers were originally introduced to Sosa as a pro during season 33 when he was paired off with Delvey, 34. Her presence on Dancing With the Stars was a major topic of conversation after her past arrest in 2018. Delvey served two years in prison after being convicted on charges of grand larceny, second-degree larceny and theft of services. After paying $10,000 bail, Delvey was released in 2022 and placed on house arrest.

DWTS would often pointedly show off Delvey’s ankle monitor before she was eliminated two weeks into the competition.
“I thought, like, ‘Well, they were building me up.’ It’s like, ‘Well, only if you smile more, only if you do X, Y, Z, it’s going to be so much better,’” she said on Tori Spelling‘s “Misspelling” podcast in September 2024. “It felt like they put so much effort in trying to get me on the show and make me feel comfortable, just to eliminate me this early. I see it, yeah, like an attempt of an embarrassment for us to get eliminated before Eric [Roberts] or Reginald [VelJohnson] in a dancing competition. Even though in the end it’s not that big of a deal.”
Delvey called her elimination “a bit upsetting,” adding, “It felt like a waste of time for me to do all this for them to just discard me so easily. I know the show was very excited to have me on, but the large part of the audience is not the people who would usually be excited about me in general.”
While reflecting on her journey, Delvey said she was proud of how much she improved in the short time she was on DWTS.
“I don’t think I’ve done the worst job on the show,” she continued. “We got eliminated and people who were, I think, below us got to stay on the show and makes it a bit sus for a show that’s called Dancing With the Stars, and not like Gossiping With the Stars or Making Friends With the Stars.”
Julie, 52, for her part, was indicted alongside husband Todd, 56, in 2019 on charges of tax evasion, bank and wire fraud and conspiracy. After being found guilty in 2022, Todd was sentenced to 12 years in prison. Julie received a seven-year sentence. The couple maintained their innocence and continued to appeal their sentences. Todd and Julie were released in May after President Donald Trump pardoned the former reality TV stars.
While it remains to be seen whether Julie will join the season — and pair off with Sosa — the hit ABC series has already confirmed that TikToker Alix Earle and Steve Irwin’s son, Robert Irwin, are taking part in the next season.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives viewers were also in for a surprise when Jen Affleck and Whitney Leavitt both scored spots in the upcoming season. Sosa weighed in on Mormon casting while speaking to Us.
“The more the merrier,” Sosa, who grew up near Salt Lake City, shared. “There’s never enough Mormons on Dancing With the Stars.”
Sosa continued: “Everyone in Utah has a thing. My thing was dance, but my neighbor’s thing was piano. Every kid had a sport and activity. … And the dance culture in Utah is really big too, especially with ballroom.”
Dancing With the Stars season 34 premieres on ABC and Disney+ September 16 at 8 p.m. ET. New episodes will stream the next day on Hulu.
“What have you done?” David’s wife, Victoria Beckham, asked the 50-year-old retired soccer star in a Saturday, July 19, Instagram video.
David, who was posing shirtless, held one hand over his scalp before offering an explanation.
“The thing of the clippers fell off my head [and] fell off the clipper,” he said, eventually removing his hand to reveal a bald patch in the center of his cropped haircut. “It’s not funny.”
As David continually stressed that “the clipper head fell off” while in use, Victoria, 51, had her own thoughts about how the new ‘do looked from an outside perspective.
“It does not look good,” she said. “I’m going to always be honest with you, but it looks terrible.”
Victoria also shared footage of the moment via her Instagram Stories with the caption, “Be honest …. it looks terrible!!!” (David famously told Victoria to “be honest” during an interview for his Beckham docuseries when she brought up how they both seemingly came from working-class backgrounds.)
David has rocked a number of different hairstyles through the years, including a now-infamous buzz cut when he played soccer for Manchester United in the early 2000s.
“I had a hairdresser at the time called Tyler,” David recalled in the 2023 docuseries. “I said to him, ‘I’m gonna cut my hair,’ and he was like, ‘Are you sure? You really want to do that?’”
David chopped his then-signature blond locks anyway, which even surprised coach Sir Alex Ferguson.
“Alex said, ‘David, take the cap off.’ And I said, ‘No,’” he recalled. “I never did it to create attention. I’m not that person.”
For Victoria, she mused that David’s short cut marked the transition when he started “going from a boy to a man.”
“It’s only natural that you’ll start flexing your muscles, right?” Victoria quipped of David’s independence over his grooming. “And don’t all kids rebel against their parents?”
David and Victoria, who got married in 1996, went on to welcome four children of their own: sons Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 22, and Cruz, 20, as well as daughter Harper, 14.
Jenna von Oÿ was a household name in the ‘90s thanks to Blossom and her voice work on Pepper Ann — but where is she now?
“I started acting at a really young age. I was 6 years old when I professionally started,” von Oÿ recalled during an October 2014 episode of OWN’s “Where Are They Now?” special. “My dad and mom had nothing to do with the industry.”
Von Oÿ grew up in Connecticut before relocating to Los Angeles to give acting a real shot, and just as she envisioned, she became a star.
“I begged my parents to let me start acting. As soon as I knew what acting was, it was my lot in life and I was sure of it,” she explained during the 2014 “Where Are They Now?” interview.
Von Oÿ broke into acting in 1985 with an episode of Guiding Light. She had several guest-starring roles before landing the part of Kelly Callahan on Lenny in 1990. That same year, von Oÿ began playing Six LeMeure on Blossom, which put her on the map.
During the show’s five-season run, von Oÿ played Blossom Russo’s (Mayim Bialik) spunky best friend who wasn’t afraid to say what was on her mind.
“Six was [a] very outspoken, fast talking, gossiping girl who loved to talk about boys. Like, what was there not to love at 12 years old,” von Oÿ told Entertainment Weekly in October 2017 during a Blossom cast reunion. “It was me in a nutshell.”
Once Blossom ended in 1995, von Oÿ became immortalized as a Disney character, voicing Stacey in A Goofy Movie. Two years later, she made her way back to TV in a big way.
Von Oÿ voiced Trinket St. Blaire on Pepper Ann from 1997 to 2000. During that time, she also began playing Stevie Van Lowe on The Parkers, which ran from 1999 to 2004. Von Oÿ went on to play Jen Larkin on What’s With Andy? from 2001 to 2007 before taking a brief break from the industry.
Von Oÿ then pivoted to music, releasing her first album, Breathing Room, in 2007. Her sophomore project, Coffee & Men: An EP for Childish Adults, was released two years later.

Outside of her career, von Oÿ began building a life with Brad Bratcher, whom she wed in October 2010. The couple welcomed their first daughter, Gray, in May 2012.
While von Oÿ had a few movie roles in 2011 and 2012, she stepped back from that world around the time she became a mother. The actress moved from Los Angeles to Nashville and welcomed her second daughter, Marlowe, in November 2014.
“My life in Nashville is really, very subtle,” von Oÿ revealed during her 2014 “Where Are They Now?” segment. “I wanted to get away from the L.A. bubble and sort of be away from the smog and the noise and get back to a sorta simpler way of life.”
In the decade since, von Oÿ has done just that. After moving to the South, she began working at StyleBlueprint Nashville as an associate editor and lead writer.

Von Oÿ has also written two books, 2015’s Situation Momedy: A First-Time Mom’s Guide to Laughing Your Way Through Pregnancy & Year Old and 2016’s Situation Momedy: A Very Special Episode in Toddlerdom.
She returned to acting in 2019 with a role in Cecil and in 2022, von Oÿ reunited with Bialik for a cameo on Call Me Kat.
In 2025, von Oÿ added podcast host to her resume launching “The Big F***ing Feelings” podcast with friend Ashley Robyn.
In her personal life, von Oÿ has also had a few changes. She and husband Bratcher called it quits sometime before 2017. At that time, she debuted a relationship with a woman — but she didn’t publicly come out as gay until 2023.
“I think that having spent so many years living up to these expectations, not just that other people set for me but that I set for myself, I forgot to look through the lens of what makes me comfortable and uncomfortable,” von Oÿ told Bialik during a June 2023 appearance on the actor’s “Mayim Bialik’s Breakdown” podcast of her sexuality journey. “What I love and don’t love. What is authentic for me without that layer of people pleasing.”
She recalled, “I finally started to take charge of that when I got divorced. When I started to dig a little deeper and understand more about what that authenticity looks like for me.”

Von Oÿ noted that she didn’t see any of her past relationships with men as “being inauthentic in any way,” adding, “I don’t think that I was ignoring the fact that I was gay.”
Von Oÿ’s relationship with Kaleigh seemingly ended in 2023. She appeared to debut a new romance with a brunette woman in January 2024.
While von Oÿ has been quiet on the acting front since 2022, she revealed during the 2023 podcast that she is open to doing a Blossom reboot. “I’m interested wholeheartedly. The chemistry that our cast has. … It hasn’t gone anywhere,” she told Bialik at the time.
Just because Netflix credited Untamed as a limited series doesn’t mean the show can’t come back for a season 2.
Before the show premiered on Thursday, July 17, Lily Santiago spoke exclusively with Us Weekly about the possibility of a renewal, teasing, “I am waiting for the phone call. I’m like, ‘Find me on the horse on the mountain. I’m ready to go.’”
“It’s amazing working on a limited series,” she noted. “But I think that there’s part of me that was like, ‘But I love these people and I love this character. Can we do six more [episodes] right now?’”
Untamed, which also stars Eric Bana, Sam Neill, Wilson Bethel and Rosemarie DeWitt, is set in Yosemite National Park where a woman’s death draws a federal agent into lawless terrain, where nature obeys no rules but its own. Over the course of the first season, Santiago’s character evolved from a rookie National Park Service ranger to a more confident version of herself who finally started to feel at home.
“I didn’t know my full journey at all [when I joined Untamed]. But nothing that happened surprised me because I felt like I knew Naya so well,” Santiago recalled.”I really felt this attachment to her and understanding how she would respond to these moments in nature or these scary human moments. So I was just always excited to see what they were going to throw me into next.”
While Untamed didn’t actually film in a national park, most of the scenes were still shot in the great outdoors: Chip Kerr Park to be specific.
“I have this unfortunate habit of always filming outside on location. I feel like I’ve never filmed indoors. We had an incredible safety team because there’s a lot of bears in Vancouver. We were very protected and there were those challenges. There’s also a lot of rain and mud,” she noted. “The horses don’t like being in mud because they’re just sinking. But we have to get them up a mountain. There’s an urgency there. But it’s the reality when the wind is hitting your face or you see the beautiful mountains or tree lines — taking that all in while you’re filming is really special.”
Speaking of horses, Naya’s novice skills when it came to horseback riding was something she had in common with Santiago.
“It’s always been my dream for somebody to hire me to learn a new skill. That’s exactly what happened here. I had never in my adult life ridden a horse. I love animals so I wasn’t scared. I was just so excited,” she shared with Us. “I had to realize there’s moments where Naya really doesn’t like the horse and I — as Lily — was like, ‘But I love him.’ So I was learning alongside the character. Her discomfort on the horse was very different from mine but that allowed me to actually play the discomfort more because I was so happy to just be on this giant magical creature.”
Santiago concluded: “When I read the script, I was like, ‘Untamed is going to be one of my favorite shows to watch. I didn’t think that they’d look at me twice. I was like, ‘I just can’t wait to watch it.’ With Naya, it’s just an opportunity that I don’t get very often to play somebody this well-rounded. She gets to exist as a full human being with humor, fear, vulnerability and strength. I just absolutely adore this script and adore this character because she feels close to me.”
There’s nothing Hart of Dixie fans want more than a TV reunion, but what are the chances Wilson Bethel could share the screen with Scott Porter again — except this time on Ginny & Georgia?
During an exclusive interview while promoting his new Netflix series Untamed, Bethel, 41, weighed in on the possibility of making a cameo on Porter’s show, teasing, “If they’re there for it, I’m there for it. I love Scott so sign me up for working with him more. He’s my man and I’m so psyched for him and all the things that have been going on for him and his career and in his life.”
Bethel joked that if “the world needs another” fictional love triangle involving him and Porter, 46, then “sign me up.” His stamp of approval comes after Porter listed the potential onscreen reunions between him and his Hart of Dixie costars on future seasons of Ginny & Georgia.
“Cress Williams and I worked together on Friday Night Lights. Then we worked together on Hart of Dixie. Then I worked with Brianne Howey on Hart of Dixie — and now we’re working together here,” Porter exclusively told Us in June. “So maybe Cress should come along over here for the third time.”
“I’m already competing with [Nathan Mitchell‘s] Zion and with [Raymond Ablack‘s] Joe,” he quipped. “But I have been so fortunate to work with so many — not only incredibly gifted actors — but incredible humans. I am still friends with Rachel [Bilson], still friends with Wilson [Bethel]. Willie and I still talk a lot to this day.”

Hart of Dixie, which ran on The CW from 2011 to 2015, introduced Us to Rachel Bilson’s Zoe, a New Yorker who made the move from New York to Alabama to work as a general practitioner in the town of Bluebell. While there, Zoe ended up in a love triangle with Porter’s George and Bethel’s Wade.
Porter previously weighed in on Us‘ pitch about Bilson, 43, being cast as a new love interest for his character on the Netflix hit, saying, “I think Paul is in such a place where he can’t even think about a relationship right now. Just the tumult that he has been through — just the high dryer cycle he’s been tumbling through right now.”
He continued: “His head is spinning and his career is on the line. I think Paul is going to focus up a little bit. I don’t think he’s going to have the ability, the heart or the brain power to be able to forge a new relationship.”
While Zoe didn’t end up with Porter’s George, she did get a happily ever after with Bethel’s character. A decade after the show wrapped up, Bethel reflected on where he thought Zoe and Wade would be now.
“For starters, they would have a 10-year-old, which is kind of crazy. Maybe they got another one or maybe they got two kids,” he told Us. “I think they are probably still driving each other crazy as a couple. But I think there’s a lot of love there.”
Without being promoted, Bethel made it clear he would be up for any kind of Hart of Dixie revival or reunion, adding, “At some point if the fandom reaches a critical mass and they just can’t take another day without another season of Hart of Dixie, nothing would make me happy than doing another more episodes and revisiting those characters and where they’re at now. I love doing that show and I love all those people.”

“When I first started auditioning for the character, I didn’t know the full extent of his motivations and what was guiding him,” Bethel explained to Us. “In that stage where I’m initially putting together the character and figuring out who he is, I’m making some educated guesses that weren’t entirely accurate.”
Bethel continued: “One of the things that I think is fascinating about this show in general is how deftly they tease out the information to really keep it, obviously, twisty and in line with what this kind of genre of show should be. But they do it in a really graceful and interesting way. In a way that feels like it’s not cheaply [fleshed] out.”
In the mid-90s, Gwyneth Paltrow and a not-yet-married Carolyn Bessette were both blonde, beautiful, privileged and fashionable young women raised in or around NYC who would dominate national headlines — but they decidedly were not friends.

Netflix’s cowboy hit Ransom Canyon has finally been renewed for a second season — but is every cast member coming back?
Based on Jodi Thomas‘ book series of the same name, Ransom Canyon introduced Us to a town full of drama, romance and hope. The first season kicked off with stoic rancher Staten (Josh Duhamel) grieving two major losses while navigating an undeniable connection to childhood friend Quinn (Minka Kelly), who has also caught the eye of Staten’s brother-in-law and rival Davis (Eoin Macken).
There was also newcomer Yancy (Jack Schumacher), who had a past he was hiding from Ellie (Marianly Tejada). And if that wasn’t enough, viewers found themselves invested in another love triangle between high school students Lucas (Garrett Wareing), Lauren (LizzyGreene) and Reid (Andrew Liner).
“We’ve already started the writers room, even though the show hasn’t been picked up to series yet for season 2,” creator April Blair told TV Insider in April 2025 about their plans for season 2. “Quinn’s going to go off to New York and come back. How is [Staten] going to win her back if he’s still haunted? I don’t feel like he could ever truly move on in his heart and his mind until that mystery [about his son’s death] was settled.”
Blair confirmed that the revelations in the finale will affect the direction of season 2. “We wanted to find some closure with that, and also, who was behind it and what really happened opens up a whole new series of relationship drama between Lucas and Lauren,” Blair said. “So it gives us a lot of runway in other stories as well.”

“I know that they’ve been writing,” Duhamel exclusively told Us Weekly in June shortly before the show was renewed. “They’ve been in the writer’s room now for several months writing the second season. April Blair does an amazing job with running the show so I’d imagine they’re coming up with something fun.”
Duhamel, who is expected to return, praised the show’s direction. “I think the romance stuff [with Kelly’s character Quinn] is really fun, but I want to keep it unpredictable. A little bit dangerous at times; doing things that the audience may not always agree with,” he added.

While Kelly is reprising her role, fans won’t see Quinn’s time in New York.
“We would need to because I don’t want to do anything in New York,” Blair shared with TV Line in April 2025. “Quinn needs to go away and save her ranch, and we need to see what the implications are for that punch that Davis goads Staten into doing and what that plot between Davis and Staten’s father, the senator, is like.”
She concluded: “I think we would probably do that because she says, ‘I’m going to go away for six months.’ So the idea right now, although nothing’s set in stone, is that we would do at least a six-month time jump.”

It wouldn’t be a love triangle if Macken didn’t return as Davies but apparently the role was a hot commodity in Hollywood. Wilson Bethel revealed to Us in July 2025 that he tried out for the part, adding, “I tried out for the other guy in the love triangle [with Minka and Josh Duhamel]. Look, I never say never [to another cameo]. I’m psyched for them. That show obviously has been met with a lot of success and who knows what the future holds [about booking another role in season 2].”
“Things are set up where everyone is in a love triangle in season 1 because it opens the door for the audience to say what they like,” she teased about the show. “Then also hopefully we get another season. It gives our writers and everyone an opportunity to see what people like and then lean into it more season 2.”
Greene sounded hopeful about where Lucas, Lauren and Reid are headed.
“There is still a lot of love there and a lot of care for each other. That is kind of where everyone sits [because] there’s no animosity toward anybody. Everyone loves and cares about everyone,” she shared. “That’s why it ends up so well is because while they are butting heads in the beginning, they both really admire each other.”

Wareing also showed his support for Lucas and Lauren, telling Us in April 2025, “We saw Lucas and Lauren very happy in season 1. What does it look like when we don’t see them happy and when we are facing real world hardship? And what does it look like to feel that pull and come back together?”
He continued: “Lucas is looking to explore [life outside of Ransom Canyon] but is it worth exploring without the love of his life? That’s a question that we’re going to have to answer in season 2 — if we’re lucky. Lucas loves Lauren so much that his dream wouldn’t be complete without her.”
When we were last in Ransom Canyon, Ellie was getting ready to get married to Yancy before his wife (played by Erica Dasher of Jane by Design fame) showed up.
“A fun tidbit nobody knows, is that the girl who played the back of Yancy’s wife’s head was actually the star of my very first show, Jane by Design that was on ABC Family at the time. That was Erica Dasher, and she was just there to visit and I said, ‘Will you, will you be the back of his wife’s head? And she’s like, ‘I will if you let me audition for her,’” Blair told Deadline in April 2025 about how that will unfold. “So we don’t know [who will play her] yet. It exists on its own,” he shared with Us in April 2025. “What creator April and Netflix were trying to do is create something that isn’t a knockoff of this. It is something that exists on its own — in its own world.”
Schumacher specifically highlighted how the show prioritizes romance.
“The female gaze is more present here, which you don’t get in the vast majority of westerns and I’m a huge fan of the genre,” he explained. “Nowadays you have to be living under a rock not to know about Yellowstone and all the spinoffs. They’re so great. Then you have the more romantic side of it, which is shows like Virgin River.”
