How Does Gwyneth Paltrow Feel About New Biography Focused on Her Life?

Gwyneth Paltrow “isn’t too bothered” by the upcoming book about her life, a source tells Us Weekly exclusively.

“Gwyneth’s been in the Hollywood game for a long time and so has a thick skin,” the insider continues. “This book isn’t a big deal for her.”

Author Amy Odell is set to release Gwyneth: The Biography on Tuesday, July 29, offering insight into Paltrow’s life from the early days of her career to behind-the-scenes details on how she became an A-list star.

“She didn’t participate in the book like Anna Wintour did with the author’s last book,” the same source says about Paltrow, referring to Odell’s 2022 book Anna: The Biography.

Gwyneth Paltrow Through the Years

Odell’s book doesn’t hit shelves for a few more weeks, but People started rolling out excerpts from the biography on Wednesday, July 16. Portions of the book highlighted for the magazine start with Paltrow’s time at a Manhattan private school.

“She had strangely potent charisma, and other Spence girls — even seniors — wanted to invest in knowing this new middle schooler,” the book reads. “But other students seemed to feel threatened. One classmate recalled, ‘Not one person had a doubt that she was going to be famous.’”

Both of her past romances with Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck are showcased as the book runs through the early days of her career, as is a rumored feud with Winona Ryder over Paltrow’s Oscar-winning Shakespeare in Love role.

Paltrow allegedly passed on the 1998 film role, with the book claiming that she actually suggested Ryder for the part of Viola de Lesseps. It’s been rumored for years that Paltrow ultimately took the role back from Ryder.

“After a story about Gwyneth allegedly stealing the script from Winona’s coffee table reached the media, Gwyneth told friends that Ryder had started the rumor, and insisted she’d received the script through her agent,” Odell’s book reads. (Paltrow denied the feud in a 2015 interview.)

Gwyneth Paltrow's Dating History: Brad Pitt, Chris Martin and More

Paltrow’s past marriage to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin is also discussed throughout the book. The former couple were married from 2003 to 2016 and share two kids: Apple, 21, and Moses, 19. Paltrow has since moved on, marrying producer Brad Falchuk in 2018.

Along with her personal life and acting career, Odell’s book also addresses the Goop of it all. Paltrow launched the wellness brand as a weekly newsletter in 2008, and it’s since become an empire.

“Gwyneth was committed to covering products and experiences that translated her own tastes for her audience — however bizarre or inaccessible they might be,” Odell writes.

Love Island USA’s Cashel Hit With Protective Order Over Alleged Abuse

Love Island USA star Cashel Barnett was ordered not to contact his ex-girlfriend, who accused him of sexually assaulting her, Us Weekly can exclusively report.

According to court documents obtained by Us, Barnett, 34, who remains locked up in a Utah jail, was ordered not to harass or threaten his ex and mother of his 15-month-old child.

The order instructed Barnett not to contact his ex via email, telephone or social media. The judge said the order will remain in effect until further order of the court. A source close to the case told Us the protective order was “procedural.”

As Us previously reported, on June 24, the State of Utah filed three felony charges against Barnett: two charges of aggravated assault (one a 1st degree felony and the other a 3rd degree felony) and domestic violence in the presence of a child.

Teen Mom’s Bar Smith Arrested on Kidnapping and Harassment Charges

“Mr. Barnett is presumed innocent, strongly denies any wrongdoing, and looks forward to his day in court,” Barnett’s attorney Andrew K. Deesing told People. “We’re in the very early stages of this, so we don’t have any further comment at this time.”

Barnett was hit with the new charges while he was locked up in a Utah jail, where he had been since May due to an alleged assault on his ex-girlfriend.

In court documents, over the felony charges, it was revealed that police were called to investigate a report of sexual assault.

Barnett’s ex claimed they had been in an argument in November 2024 “when she requested that he get a job to help pay for their daughter.” She said as a form of punishment he withheld sex, kissing and hand-holding from her. She said she had been withholding sex from him.

The court documents said Barnett told the alleged victim he was a “house slave” and that she was “ruining his dream.” His ex claimed that when “[Barnett] abused her, he told her it was her fault.”

The argument erupted on a date in December 2024. Barnett started kissing her and putting his hands down her pants. She claimed when she kissed him back, he pushed her off the couch and told her not to get up because she was in “trouble.”

The report said the alleged victim got up and walked to the bedroom, but “Barnett grabbed both her hands from behind her, demonstrated the handcuff position, then picked her up and did a ‘swoop onto the couch.’”

The alleged victim said Barnett pulled his pants down and screamed at her, ‘Is this what you f***ing want?’ and ‘Are you f***ing happy now?’” She said she couldn’t breathe and lost consciousness. She said she believed she lost consciousness for one minute when Barnett “sat her up, slapped her across the face really hard and just kept going.”

The alleged victim told police that she remembered waking up to Barnett slapping her and “felt like she was still kind of limp for a minute.” She said Barnett was sexually assaulting her. She claimed he stopped when she grabbed their child.

The prosecutors wrote, “The victim reported that on the date of the sexual assault, she attempted to walk away from the defendant, however he grabbed her from behind, pushed her head into the couch, causing her to lose consciousness, then raped her ‘violently.’ [Barnett] then ‘sat her up’, ‘slapped her’ and strangled her again, while their minor daughter was in the room crying and yelling.”

In court documents, it was also revealed that Barnett’s ex accused him of strangling her in front of their kid on April 10, 2025. She claimed as she was about to lose consciousness, he slapped her “so hard across the face” and then told her, “You’re fine.”

“The defendant is unemployed and the victim believes [Barnett] tried to kill her,” prosecutors said. They asked that Barnett be held without bond due to fears for the alleged victim’s safety.

Court documents obtained by Us show the alleged victim filed a separate case pleading for temporary custody of the kids.

Cashel appeared on season 1 of Love Island USA.

As Us previously reported, another Love Island USA cast member was involved in a scandal of her own his month over an alleged slur.

Madelyn Cline Says 'Outer Banks' Feels 'Strange' After Rudy Pankow's Exit

Madelyn Cline teased the shift on the Outer Banks set as the cast continues to film the fifth and final season without Rudy Pankow.

“There’s a part of the dynamic that isn’t there anymore,” Cline, 27, told Extra TV on Monday, July 14, about the hit Netflix series. “But also, you know, we’re all just happy to be there.”

Cline acknowledged that it was “definitely strange” not having Pankow, 27, around “because we shot four seasons with him.”

“The camaraderie, the chemistry is all amazing,” she said about filming season 5. “I don’t think we take a single second of it for granted. I cry at least two times a week. Happy tears.”

Rudy Pankow Unfollows Madison Bailey After Shocking 'Outer Banks' Exit

Cline concluded: “It’s the end of a big, big chapter of my life. But yes, it’s bittersweet, it’s emotional, and we’re all really, really happy to be back.”

Outer Banks, which debuted in 2020, follows the conflict between two groups of teenagers in a coastal North Carolina town. The social divide is introduced with the wealthy residents (a.k.a. the Kooks) and the working class (the Pogues).

Season 5 is currently filming and is expected to follow the aftermath of JJ’s shocking death. The show originally received backlash when Pankow’s departure was confirmed despite the writing team claiming it was always the plan to kill off the fan-favorite character.

“It’s been kind of lurking in his DNA from the beginning. He’s really a tragic figure, and the idea of mortality, and you only have a finite window — it’s also a theme of the show,” executive producer Jonas Pate told The Hollywood Reporter in November 2024. “It’s something John B. has talked about from the first season. So believe it or not, this is something that was always sort of baked in the cake, and we just wanted to tell the story as elegantly and interestingly as possible.”

After JJ’s onscreen death, the show’s creators explained their decision to kill off a Pogue.

“The overarching plan was to begin with just some kids who wanted to have a good time all the time, and take them on a whole journey,” Shannon Burke told Deadline in November 2024. “One of them was going to end up dying, and pretty early on, we knew that was going to be JJ, he’s the most reckless. He is also the most beloved and, in one way, the most sacrificing and the most risk-taking. And this was going to be JJ’s year.”

'Outer Banks' Promotes Several Cast Members for Season 5 After JJ's Death

He continued: “The kids, they’re getting older. We wanted to begin in a place of innocence and then go to a place that at least one point to go is really dark for them, and then have them come out of it. That’s the overarching plan for the show. It was always JJ that was going to be, we just weren’t sure how we were going to play it.”

Viewers subsequently started to question whether Pankow’s exit came as a result of a rumored rift between him and the cast, which includes John B (Chase Stokes), Sarah (Cline), Kiara (Madison Bailey), Pope (Jonathan Daviss), JJ (Pankow) and Cleo (Carlacia Grant). Pankow, for his part, has said that he thinks JJ’s death was meant to move the story along.

“When I first found out JJ was gonna risk it all and not make it, I understood it. And the risks got bigger and bigger, and the stakes got higher and higher,” he explained to Netflix’s Tudum that same month. “His death really does set up the future of OBX with the question, what is worth it? And when someone that close to you is gone, how do you navigate that?”

Outer Banks is currently streaming on Netflix.

Photos Show Home Where ‘American Idol’ Double Murder Occurred

New photos show the investigation unfolding at the house where American Idol music supervisor Robin Kaye and her husband, Thomas Deluca, were killed, days after their bodies were discovered on Monday, July 14.

Pictures obtained by Us Weekly show an aerial view of the Encino, California, home, with police cruisers stationed outside and red police tape surrounding the property.

The house appears to be surrounded by a white fence with trees lining the perimeter and front walkway. A pool and outdoor patio are also visible behind the two-story residence.

Police were first called to the 4700 block of White Oak Avenue in Encino on Monday for a welfare check after Kaye and Deluca, both 70, had not been heard from for “several days.” Authorities discovered their bodies with possible gunshot wounds upon entering the home, and they were pronounced dead at the scene.

“While there were no signs of forced entry or trouble at the location during that investigation, it is now believed that the suspect had gained entry into the residence through an unlocked door,” read a statement from the LAPD released the next day. “The victims returned home while the suspect was inside their residence, and a confrontation ensued, which resulted in the suspect taking their lives.”

“The victims succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds, and the suspect fled from the residence on foot,” the statement continued.

The LAPD confirmed on Wednesday that it had arrested a suspect, 22-year-old Encino resident Raymond Boodarian, in connection with the double murder. Lt. Guy Golan confirmed to CNN that the suspect was identified “using the surveillance video at the residence, as well as some other forensic evidence at the scene.”

Police were also called to the home four days earlier to investigate a possible burglary, but they believe this to be an isolated incident.

'American Idol' Winners: Where Are Fantasia Barrino and More Now?

“We are devastated to hear of Robin and her dear husband, Tom’s, passing,” an American Idol spokesperson told Us in a statement on Tuesday. “Robin has been a cornerstone of the Idol family since 2009 and was truly loved and respected by all who came in contact with her. Robin will remain in our hearts forever and we share our deepest sympathy with her family and friends during this difficult time.”

A veteran music supervisor, Kaye had been active in the industry since the 1990s and spent more than a decade working on American Idol.

“It’s one of those parts of the business that people don’t even know it exists,” she said in 2017 at the 7th Annual Guild of Music Supervisors Awards. “It’s a very important part of films and TV. Pretty much everything in the entertainment industry has music in it and people just think that it’s there.”

Deluca, for his part, was also in the music industry, building his career as a solo artist. He began his career in Nashville before moving to Los Angeles in the 1990s and signing with Epic Records.

'Big Brother 27’ Cast Soaks Up the Sun in Annual Swimsuit Photo Shoot

The Big Brother 27 cast took to the backyard for the legendary swimsuit photoshoot.

All 17 houseguests soaked up the sun as they posed in their swimwear in Us Weekly’s exclusive first look. The women dazzled in a variety of beach-ready styles, from bikinis to one-pieces. The guys rocked board shorts, with some opting to cover up while others went shirtless.

Big Brother icon Rachel Reilly brought the fire as she stunned in a red ruffled one-piece. She completed the look with a pair of shades. While Reilly, 40, is a Have Not during the first week, she was granted safety from eviction. Cliffton “Will” Williams, Zach Cornell and Ava Pearl were also named Have Nots but also received immunity.

Will, 50, kept it laid back as he opted for a black polo and shades. Zach, 27, was all smiles in his salmon shorts and sunglasses. Ava, 24, brought the good vibes as she stunned in a red long-sleeved one-piece with cutouts. The aura painter completed the look with a floppy sun hat with a sunflower in its brim.

New ‘Big Brother’ Cast Shares Their Strengths Ahead of Season 27 Premiere

Head of Household (HOH) Vince Panaro wore striped shorts and a brown beanie. He went sans shirt to show off his tatted arm. Vince’s nominees — Amy Bingham, Ashley Hollis and Isaiah “Zae” Frederich — were in good spirits as they were all smiles for the camera.

Amy, who successfully entered the game after being undetected as The Mastermind’s accomplice, wore a red halter swimsuit top paired with a black sarong. Zae, 23, donned blue swim shorts, sunglasses and slides. (The salesperson made headlines earlier this week after he used a slur on the live feeds but immediately backtracked his comment.)

While Ashley, 25, has been under fire all week after taking a two-hour-long shower in the HOH room, she brought the heat with her swimwear photo. The attorney wore a magenta bikini and a multicolor sarong. She gave a sweet smile as she posed on a lounge chair.

Big Brother's Janelle and Rachel Troll Fans Over Mystery Houseguest Twist

Katherine Woodman, Kelley Jorgensen, Mickey Lee, Lauren Domingue and Morgan Pope showed off their toned physique in their bikinis. Adrian Rocha and Rylie Jeffries opted to go shirtless. Keanu Soto and Jimmy Heagerty kept it cool with a tank and shorts combo.

Big Brother 27 kicked off on Thursday, July 10. As the players have settled into the Big Brother house, they’re gearing up to vote out the first person of the season. The nominees not only have the Power of Veto in play but also the BB Blockbuster, this season’s version of the AI Arena from last year. On eviction night, the three nominees will compete in a live competition to be removed from the block.

Big Brother continues on CBS tonight with a 90-minute episode starting at 8 p.m. ET. Fans can watch live feeds from the house anytime on Paramount+.

Gwyneth Paltrow Was Open About Sex With Ben Affleck, According to New Book

An upcoming book about Gwyneth Paltrow offers new insight into her past relationship with Ben Affleck — including a possible NSFW confession.

Author Amy Odell writes in Gwyneth: The Biography that Paltrow, now 52, “spoke openly about how much she enjoyed their sex life,” according to an excerpt published by People on Wednesday, July 16. Paltrow apparently opened up to friend and celebrity makeup artist Kevyn Aucoin about a particular sex act with Affleck, now 52, but it was not specified.

“Her friends thought Ben was more of an intellectual match. But he had demons,” Odell claimed in the book. “Affleck was struggling with alcoholism and a gambling habit around the time he met Gwyneth.”

Affleck has been open about his alcohol struggles throughout his time in the public eye. (Us Weekly has reached out to Paltrow and Affleck’s teams for comment.)

Gwyneth Paltrow's Dating History: Brad Pitt, Chris Martin and More

“Her friends had reservations about him because he didn’t always reciprocate her affection. He at times seemed more interested in playing video games with the guys at his house than being with Gwyneth,” the book excerpt continues, comparing Affleck and his friends to famed HBO show Entourage. “Her friends felt like he did not appreciate her. She would be making dinner, and he would want to go out with the guys.”

Their physical chemistry couldn’t overcome his self-destructive impulses,” Odell wrote about what led to Paltrow and Affleck’s split.

Paltrow and Affleck’s three-year on-and-off romance kicked off in 1997, just after she called off her engagement from Brad Pitt. Throughout their Hollywood relationship, the former couple starred in two movies together — 1998’s Shakespeare In Love and 2000’s Bounce. By the time the Bounce hit theaters, Paltrow and Affleck had split for good.

“I can tell you unequivocally that Gwyneth and I are not going out,” Affleck declared during an interview with Entertainment Weekly in 2000. His adamant response came after paparazzi photos showing the pair hugging in Paris went public.

“We’re not a couple. We’re not an item. I do love her very much and I care about her enormously, as that picture indicates,” Affleck continued. “But I hug a lot of people this way. Whether or not people believe that is up to them.”

Over the years, Paltrow has continued to speak positively about her ex. The actress even called him “technically excellent” while discussing her sex life on “Call Her Daddy” in 2023. According to Paltrow, the Gone Girl star was “a good kisser.”

Lupita Nyong'o Diagnosed With Uterine Fibroids: Inside Her Health Journey

Lupita Nyong’o is turning her pain into purpose.

When attending the 2014 Oscars, everything appeared to be magical for the Hollywood star as she accepted the award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance in 12 Years a Slave.

But more than a decade later, Nyong’o revealed that months after winning the coveted award, she discovered she had uterine fibroids.

“30 fibroids. I had surgery to remove them,” she shared via Instagram in July 2025. “I asked my doctor if I could do anything to prevent them from recurring. She said: ‘You can’t. It’s only a matter of time until they grow again.’”

Lupita Nyong'o Just Brought Bridalwear to the Red Carpet

Although Nyong’o initially kept her diagnosis private, once she started speaking with other women about her experience, she realized she was not alone.

“We’re struggling alone with something that affects most of us,” she said. “No more suffering in silence!”

Keep reading to learn more about Nyongo’s health journey and how she’s working to help other women in need:

What Are Uterine Fibroids?

Uterine fibroids are common growths of the uterus that often appear during the years a woman is able to get pregnant and give birth, according to the Mayo Clinic.

Fibroids vary in number and size, but are not cancerous.

“They can range from the size of a pea to as large as a melon,” Nyong’o said. “They can cause heavy menstrual bleeding and anemia, pelvic pain, frequent urination and complications with pregnancy. Some have no symptoms at all, while others experience debilitating effects.”

How Many Women Suffer From Uterine Fibroids?

Many people who have uterine fibroids will not experience or properly identify any symptoms, the Mayo Clinic confirmed, making the health issue difficult to diagnose. Health care professionals sometimes find fibroids during a pelvic exam or a pregnancy ultrasound.

“Eight out of 10 Black women and 7 out of 10 white women will experience fibroids,” Nyong’o claimed via Instagram. “Yet we speak so little of them. When we reach puberty, we’re taught that periods mean pain, and that pain is simply part of being a woman. I started talking about my experience privately, and I realized so many women are going through this.”

What Does Lupita Nyong’o Envision for Future Care?

The Oscar winner hopes for a future where women have more education and resources when it comes to their health.

“We need to stop treating this massive issue like a series of unfortunate coincidences,” she said via Instagram. “We must reject the normalization of female pain. I envision a future with early education for teenagers, better screening protocols, robust prevention research and less invasive treatments for uterine fibroids. Let’s study women’s health and prioritize this chronic condition that has never been comprehensively examined.”

Redefining Beauty: Stars Paving the Way for a New Era of Self-Confidence

How Lupita Nyong’o Is Fighting for Change

In honor of Fibroid Awareness Month, Nyong’o announced in July 2025 that she will be working with various congresswomen and senators in Washington DC to introduce a package of uterine fibroid-related Congressional bills.

“These bills would expand research funding, increase early detection and interventions for uterine fibroids, study the causes of uterine cancer, and increase public awareness,” she shared via Instagram.

She’s also teaming up with the Foundation for Women’s Health to launch the FWH x Lupita Nyong’o Uterine Fibroid Research Grant, which will seek research proposals to develop minimally invasive or non-invasive treatments for uterine fibroids to reduce symptoms and improve quality of life for patients around the world.

Todd and Julie Chrisley Return to Hosting Podcast After Prison Pardons

Todd Chrisley and his wife, Julie Chrisley, are back on the mic after serving time behind bars.

The couple officially returned to hosting their podcast — now dubbed “Chrisley Confessions 2.0” — on Wednesday, July 16, nearly two months after being released from prison. During the episode, the couple joked to their podcasting return.

“What’s your name? Because I haven’t seen you 28 months,” Todd quipped to his wife during Wednesday’s episode. “I’ve just been sleeping with you for the last 34 days. I never thought to ask your name.”

The couple noted that it was “crazy” to be back hosting a podcast following their respective prison stays, but teased the show was going to be “better” this time around. Todd and Julie spoke candidly about how faith helped them through their incarcerations and shared what’s in the pipeline for their future.

“We’re moving forward with a new show and I’ve got three other shows that are now projected to be picked up — things that I worked on,” Todd explained. “I worked on those things while in prison. I put those things together because I kept my mind busy and I I literally just pretended that I was at a busted broke down studio. I kept working and I kept dreaming.”

The Hollywood Reporter confirmed one day prior that Todd, 56, and Julie, 52, signed an exclusive multiyear deal with PodcastOne to produce their show, which originally launched in 2018. (Savannah Chrisley‘s “Unlocked” podcast is produced by the same network.)

Reality Stars Who've Been to Prison: Teresa Giudice, Chrisleys and More

Todd and Julie were released from prison on May 28, one day after receiving pardons from President Donald Trump. The pair — who have been married since 1996 — were sentenced to a combined 19 years in prison after being found guilty on federal charges of conspiracy to commit bank fraud, wire fraud and tax evasion. Both Todd and Julie reported to their respective facilities in January 2023.

“My parents have not spoken to each other, heard each other’s voices or seen each other in the past two and a half years,” Savannah, 27, told reporters while retrieving Todd from his Florida prison in May. “Their 29th wedding anniversary was May 25, so we’re only a few days out from that. So when they reunite, we’re going to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, Christmases, all the things, because we’re going to make up for lost time.”

Along with Savannah, the couple share sons Chase, 29, and Grayson, 19, as well as adopted daughter Chloe, 12. Todd also shares two older children — Lindsie and Kyle, Chloe’s biological father — with ex-wife Teresa Terry.

Everything Todd and Julie Chrisley Have Said About Their 28 Months in Prison

While Savannah was picking up Todd, one of her brothers was bringing Julie home from her prison in Kentucky. Earlier this month, Todd spoke candidly about how he kept Julie in his heart while they were apart.

“In my mind, I was never away from her, and I would tell her in the emails every day,” he said on an episode of Savannah’s podcast. “I said, ‘I’m with you every step you take and feel my love surrounding you at all times.’ So when I went to bed at night, she was right there with me. When I woke up and I did my prayers, she was right there with me.”

When the couple returned home, Todd was “so grateful” to be able to share a bed with his wife again. “There was no awkwardness. There was no, ‘What are we supposed to be doing?'” he added.

Despite rumors otherwise, Julie insisted that the idea of ending their marriage never crossed her mind. “Let me set the record straight,” she declared. “We are not getting divorced.”

Sarah Michelle Gellar Shuts Down Jennifer Love Hewitt Feud Rumors

Sarah Michelle Gellar has nothing but love for Jennifer Love Hewitt.

After sharing several photos from the Los Angeles premiere of the I Know What You Did Last Summer reboot via Instagram on Wednesday, July 16, Gellar, 48, publicly responded to those who asked why she didn’t pose on the red carpet with Hewitt, 46.

“For everyone asking — I never got to see @jenniferlovehewitt, who is fantastic in the movie. I was inside with my kids when the big carpet happened. And unfortunately, JLH didn’t come to the after-party,” Gellar wrote in a comment on her Instagram post.

She continued, “If you have ever been to one of these, it’s crazy. I sadly didn’t get pics with most of the cast. But that doesn’t change how amazing I think they all are. Unfortunately, some things happen only in real life and not online.”

Sarah Michelle Gellar Won’t Return for ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ Reboot

Gellar, who starred in 1997’s IKWYDLS as Helen Shivers, attended the premiere on Monday, July 14, to support husband Freddie Prinze Jr., who is reprising his role as Ray Bronson from the original film in the reboot. Hewitt is also reprising her role as Julie James.

Gellar, who wore an Oscar de la Renta strapless butterfly-embroidered mini dress and orange heels, posed for several photos with Prinze, 49, who sported a navy blue suit. She was also photographed with IKYWDLS reboot star Madelyn Cline, former Buffy the Vampire Slayer costar Seth Green and IKYWDLS reboot director Jennifer Kaytin Robinson.

“What a night!!! Still can’t believe …… years later (no need to date myself) I got to walk the red carpet at another premiere of @ikwydlsmovie,” Gellar captioned her Instagram post. “Still starring the most handsome man I know @realfreddieprinze, but this time directed by my best friend @jennkaytin and written by Jenn and @samlansky I love this movie sooooo much and this cast!! While Gellar’s lack of photos led to speculation of a rift between her and Hewitt, it’s not the first time that either actress has shut down feud rumors. Back in December 2024, Gellar addressed a viral video in which fans believed she snubbed Hewitt with her reaction to the Café star appearing in the reboot.

“I have nothing to do with that,” Gellar told Extra at the time, throwing her hands in the air and walking away.

Gellar later clarified in an Instagram Story that she made the face after she realized there was a non-disclosure agreement for the film and knew she shouldn’t discuss casting.

“Aspiring actors please note: this deer in the headlights reaction is perfect for when you are excited to see so many old friends in one project but have already stupidly forgotten what NDA means once this month,” she wrote.

Sarah Michelle Gellar Turns 48! Her Photos Through the Years

Meanwhile, that same month, Hewitt addressed rumors that she feuded with Gellar on set of the original IKWYDLS and demanded to have Gellar’s character killed off.

“I was 18. They were not taking script notes from me,” she said on Tommy DiDario’s “I’ve Never Said This Before” podcast. “All of us were in that experience together, you know, figuring it all out and everything. And I root for her and Freddie. I think it’s the cutest thing in the world that they’ve been married for 100 years and have kids. It’s, like, adorable. So it’s just been really funny to see all of this stuff.”

Sarah Pidgeon Addresses Concern Over Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy Portrayal

Sarah Pidgeon addressed concerns over her portrayal of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy in American Horror Story cocreator Ryan Murphy’s new series, American Love Story.

“I know how special Carolyn is to me, and I understand how widely beloved she is, so this role comes with a lot of responsibility — and I’m not surprised that people have strong opinions about it,” Pidgeon, 29, told Variety in an interview published on Tuesday, July 15. “That’s what makes her such an interesting person.”

Pidgeon and Paul Kelly will play Bessette and her late husband, John F. Kennedy Jr., in a dramatized depiction of their courtship during the early 1990s and their deaths in a 1999 plane crash just off the coast of Massachusetts. Bessette was 33 and Kennedy was 38 at the time of their tragic deaths. Murphy’s all-star production has cast two-time Golden Globe winner Naomi Watts as JFK Jr.’s mother, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, and Grace Gummer will play his sister, Caroline Kennedy. American Love Story has been in the works since 2021 as the first romance-themed spinoff of Murphy’s American Crime Story docudrama franchise.

Pidgeon stressed how important it is for her to capture Bessette’s humanity, not just simply emulate “how she dressed” in the now-iconic paparazzi photos from the 1990s.

“[This is a] woman who worked at Calvin Klein and the person that JFK Jr. fell in love with,” the I Know What You Did Last Summer actress added. “She’s a human being beyond just these pictures. She really resonates with a lot of people, and she certainly does with me.”

The actress continued, “I think that she is an incredibly generous person, and she’s incredibly confident. I don’t know if I necessarily always carry myself in that way, but it’s been really empowering to channel those elements of Carolyn. I could talk for a while about everything there is about her. It’s been really, really fulfilling and incredibly special to do it on camera.”

Fans of the Kennedys have already been critical of some of Pidgeon’s wardrobe selections from the American Love Story set, while JFK Jr.’s nephew Jack Schlossberg has accused Murphy, 59, of “grotesque[ly]” profiting off his late uncle’s death.

“Lately, my news feed has been filled with pictures of my uncle, John F. Kennedy Jr., a great man,” Schlossberg, 32, wrote via Instagram in June. “For those wondering whether his family was ever consulted, or has anything to do with the new shows being made about him, the answer is no. And there’s really not much we can do.”

He explained that the “the ability to control your own name, image and likeness” doesn’t extend beyond death in New York, where American Love Story is being filmed.

“For that matter, [JFK Jr. is] considered a public figure, so there’s not much we can do,” Schlossberg admitted. “I hope those making these shows about him take seriously what he stood for in his life, all that he achieved in it. And that they donate some of the profits [that] they’re making.”

American Love Story creator Murphy initially responded to the backlash by condemning “inflammatory” criticism of his project before anyone had actually seen it.

“They’re doing to our Carolyn, what they did to the real-life Carolyn. It’s not fair,” the TV producer told Variety in June.

What Else to Watch About Erik, Lyle Menendez's Murder Case After 'Monsters'

Murphy previously faced complaints over his 2024 Netflix true-crime show, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, which dramatized the 1989 killings of José and Kitty Menendez by their sons. Erik Menendez responded to Monster’s release by accusing Murphy of contributing to “the lies and ruinous character portrayals” of himself and his brother. (Those close to the Menendez family took issue with Monster’s insinuation that Erik and Lyle had an incestuous relationship.)

“[Murphy created] a caricature of Lyle rooted in horrible and blatant likes rampant in the show,” Erik wrote in a statement via Lyle Menendez’s Facebook page. “I can only believe they were done so on purpose. It is with a heavy heart that I say, I believe Ryan Murphy cannot be this naive and inaccurate about the facts of our lives so as to do this without bad intent.”

Murphy responded by saying he had “no interest” in meeting with the Menendez brothers to discuss their grievances, before suggesting they should thank him for reigniting interest in their ongoing appeals process. (The Menendez brothers were convicted in 1996 of first-degree murder and conspiracy to murder, for which they were sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.)

“I’ll tell you my thoughts about the Menéndez brothers. The Menéndez brothers should be sending me flowers,” Murphy told The Hollywood Reporter in October 2024. “They haven’t had so much attention in 30 years. And it’s gotten the attention of not only this country, but all over the world. There’s sort of an outpouring of interest in their lives and in the case. I know for a fact that many people have offered to help them because of the interest of my show and what we did.”

Abby Wambach Is 9 Years Sober: ‘It’s More of a Win Than Any Championship’

American soccer icon Abby Wambach revealed her recent off-the-field accomplishments outweigh anything she achieved during her legendary playing career.

Wambach, 45, celebrated her ninth year of being sober in April, which she candidly discussed in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly

“Having the gift of sobriety and to maintain that is really hard, because I have been so lucky to win championships and have incredible experiences,” Wambach told Us at the 3rd annual US Women’s National Team Players Association Players Ball in Los Angeles on Tuesday, July 15. “Those have been amazing moments, but to be able to maintain my sobriety over these nine years feels like even more incredible to me and more of a win than any of those championships.”

She added, “Yeah, they were fun, but this one saved my own life.”

Wambach, who retired from professional soccer in 2015 and still holds the record for most career goals by a member of the American women’s national team, admitted she knew it was time for a lifestyle change as her playing days began to wane.

“A lot of my teammates knew that I was suffering and struggling with alcohol towards the end of my career, in a lot of ways, because I was scared s***less to retire, and I didn’t know what I was going to do,” she said. “I was going through a divorce and couldn’t manage all that was happening at the same time.”

Wambach got divorced from Sarah Hoffman in 2016 before marrying wife Glennon Doyle in 2017, who she credits with being a support system during her sobriety journey.

“We have an incredible amount of respect for each other,” Wambach said of Doyle, 49, an author who has written bestselling books like Untamed. “She is a very different person than me. The way that we think about the world and see the world in some ways is very different, but in the most important ways, it’s the same. We have really decided to build a life together.”

Wambach and Doyle are coparents to Doyle’s three children — Chase, 22, Tish, 19, and Amma, 17 — who Doyle shares with her ex husband, Craig Melton. The couple also cohost the podcast “We Can Do Hard Things” with Doyle’s sister, Amanda Doyle

“We work together, we have kids together,” Wambach detailed. “We obviously live together. We spend a lot of time together. I mean, it’s perfect for us lesbians. We love to talk about everything.”

She added, “I think that she is the smartest person I’ve ever met, and I’m not an idiot. I feel like my time on the national team was spent putting people that were better around me, that would just make me look good too, right? I think that I’ve done that in my marriage. I’ve married somebody who makes me want to be a better person. She really does value trying to make the world better, as do I. She’s just the freakin’ best. I love her so much.”

Pete Davidson’s Girlfriend Elsie Hewitt Is Pregnant, Expecting 1st Baby

Pete Davidson and Elise Hewitt are expecting their first child together.

Hewitt, 29, shared her pregnancy news via Instagram on Wednesday, July 16, while sharing a series of photos of her and Davidson, 31. In one video, Davidson held the model’s hand as they looked at the sonogram video during a doctors’ appointment. In another image, the pair embraced for a hug.

“welp now everyone knows we had sex,” she captioned the upload.

Us Weekly confirmed the comedian and Hewitt’s relationship in March after they were spotted out on multiple occasions together. Two months later, the couple made their red carpet debut at the Blossom Ball in New York City.

Pete Davidson and Girlfriend Elsie Hewitt's Relationship Timeline

“He is so incredible,” Hewitt told People on the red carpet in May. “Honestly, best person I’ve ever met, and I’m so grateful that he’s here tonight. It was just really important to both of us to come here and support the [Endometriosis Foundation of America] and keep helping, spreading the word and educating people.”

Weeks after their first official appearance, Hewitt gave fans a glimpse into her “chill” plans with Davidson. “I’ve just been really into salt and vinegar chips right now, so Pete bought me these [four bags],” she said in a TikTok video in May.

Ahead of Davidson’s romance with Hewitt, he opened up about his desire to start a family one day.

“[I’m] definitely a family guy,” he told Kevin Hart during season 2 of Peacock’s Hart to Heart. “My favorite thing ever, which I have yet to achieve, I wanna have a kid. That’s like my dream. It’s like, super corny, [but] it would be so fun. Dress up the little dude. It’s just like, I’m so excited for that chapter.”

Pete Davidson Recently Started Dating Model Elsie Hewitt, Source Says

He continued, “That’s kind of what I’m just preparing for now, is just trying to be as good as a dude, develop and get better so when that happens it’s just easier.”

Davidson was last linked to Outer Banks star Madelyn Cline, whom he dated for less than a year. He was previously engaged to Ariana Grande in 2018 and in a relationship with Kim Kardashian, whom he split from in 2022.

“There truly wasn’t drama between them when they decided to separate,” a source exclusively told Us at the time of Kardashian and Davidson. “It was something they talked through; it wasn’t a sudden breakup.”

Hewitt, for her part, was previously linked to Jason Sudeikis, Ryan Phillippe and Benny Blanco.

Jason Kelce Wants Kylie to 'Nag the F***' Out of Him Over Household Chores

Jason Kelce doesn’t mind being told what to do by his wife, Kylie Kelce.

During the Wednesday, July 16, episode of “New Heights,” Jason and his brother, Travis Kelce, answered a question from their fan hotline about how to “gentle parent” a spouse into helping out with chores around the house without “nagging” too much.

The retired NFL star, 37, was quick to share his hot take. “I think that what I respond to really well is nagging,” he said. “Please nag the f*** outta me. Tell me to get my lazy ass up and take the goddamn trash out. If you tell me to take the trash out, I’m not gonna be like, ‘Oh, I can’t believe she’s telling me to take the trash out.’ I’m gonna be like, ‘Yeah, you’re right.'”

What might be considered nagging to others is simply a helpful reminder for Jason, who has been married to Kylie, 33, since 2018. “I like the nagging and I need it,” he continued. “Because I get caught in my own thoughts and I forget to do things.”

Jason Kelce Says His Couch Is 'Broken In' after Poking Fun at Wife Kylie

Travis, 35, laughed and agreed that procrastination is “the Kelce way.” The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, who is dating Taylor Swift, explained, “We think a lot about s*** that kinda doesn’t really matter, but in our mind, we wander. We wander into possibilities.”

Jason added that he’s “constantly telling Kylie” to nag him more. “She’s like, ‘Jason, I don’t wanna tell you to do these things,'” he said. “And I’m like, ‘I get that, but it’s not gonna get done unless you tell me to do it.’ … I am pro-nagging. I think nagging is a great thing to do.”

He took his stance one step further, declaring, “If you have a spouse that is against nagging of things that he should be doing, you probably got a s***ty husband. … He’s the issue here, not you telling him to do his f***ing job.”

Travis and his brother pointed out that they’re both highly “coachable” after spending their lives on the football field. “Just get a whistle,” Travis quipped. “Everybody knows a whistle in somewhere like a house is an alarming thing. Like, ‘What the f*** is this?'”

For Jason, however, the privilege of nagging doesn’t go both ways. “I have never, ever — and I will never, ever — tell Kylie to do something around the house,” he said. “She does enough.”

Kylie Kelce Tells Husband Jason to ‘Stop F---ing Exposing Me’ on Podcast

Kylie has certainly had her hands full since welcoming the couple’s fourth daughter, Finn, in March and launching her own podcast, “Not Gonna Lie,” last fall. Since the show began, Kylie hasn’t shied away from discussing the not-so-glamorous realities of parenting.

Earlier this month, Kylie shared her support for “feral child summer,” revealing which of Finn’s older siblings — Wyatt, 5, Ellie, 4, and Bennett, 2 — is the most chaotic at home.

“For a very long time, I thought for sure it was Elliotte,” she said on her podcast. “No one was going to rival her [and] she was going to take home the title no matter who came along because she achieved the utmost level of feral. And then, Bennett turned 2. That one is tactical and feral, which is more threatening and concerning. She is the child who is licking surfaces … and also she’s constantly scheming.”

Kelly Ripa is Thankful Her Kids Don’t Have a ‘Mountain of Debt’

Kelly Ripa knows her kids are nepo babies — but she’s also aware of the positives that come with the negative reputation.

During the Tuesday, July 15, episode of the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast, the Live With Kelly and Mark cohost said she finds “comfort” in the fact that her children with Mark Consuelos — Joaquin, 22, Lola, 24, and Michael, 28 — are graduating without student loan debt.

“I think my kids feel, like, very fortunate in general,” she told host Amanda Hirsch, noting how they feel knowing they don’t have school loans to pay off.

“There’s, like, a comfort in knowing my kids got to graduate knowing that they weren’t having to climb out of a mountain of debt. They are so appreciative and so grateful,” Ripa, 54, said.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos' Family Album With Their 3 Children: Photos

Ripa and Consuelos, also 54, met on the set of All My Children in 1995 and tied the knot shortly after. They’ve been married for nearly 30 years and now cohost Live together.

Despite their fame, Ripa and Consuelos made an effort to give their kids a “normal” upbringing and encouraged them to hold jobs and work toward their goals without much assistance.

“I also think we kept their worlds really normal when they were young,” Ripa explained on the podcast. “They always, from the earliest ages they could, had part-time jobs, always. And … in their friend circle, they were like the only ones to have jobs.”

Michael is now a producer, writer and actor, Lola is a singer-songwriter and Joaquin is hoping to follow in his parents’ footsteps after majoring in theater performance at the University of Michigan. He graduated in May.

“Our children are fully aware,” Ripa said when discussing how her family is recognized due to their talk show status. “They’ll meet people on the street that will come up to them and say, ‘I watched you grow up. It is such a pleasure to see you as an adult.’”

She continued, “When my kids were little, they had the opportunity to come on and do, like, little segments … and people got a glimpse into their lives. And then they grew up, and they move on, and they move out, and they move out of the country in some cases, and people don’t get to regularly check in with them. And so I feel like, once in a while, it’s important to sort of let people in because I feel like they had a group experience. My kids had a group childhood. It was like they had lots of aunties, lots of uncles, lots of grandparents.”

'So Proud'! Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos' Daughter Lola Graduates From NYU

Joaquin recently shared a glimpse at his post-college life via Instagram, posting photos of his graduation and more. “Now this is content,” Ripa commented on the post, with a fan writing back, “You and your hubby are great parents and raised a beautiful family!!! ❤.”

Lola also keeps Live viewers updated on her life in the U.K. via social media, sharing photos of her escapades abroad — including snaps with boyfriend Cassius Kidston.

What HGTV Stars Said About Surprising — And Controversial — Cancellations

HGTV has yet to address the shocking amount of shows either in limbo — or canceled completely — but what have the network’s stars said about the shakeups?

The programming shifts started in June 2025 when HGTV came under fire for canceling five shows: Battle on the Beach, Farmhouse Fixer, Married to Real Estate, Bargain Block and Izzy Does It.

HGTV’s website, however, shared a page one month later that highlighted shows currently seeking participants. There were 11 shows on the page, suggesting those programs would be returning for further seasons, including a new Property Brothers show, a third season of Down Home Fab With Chelsea and Cole DeBoer, another season of My Lottery Dream Home and House Hunters.

The network also announced a new series with Bobby Berk following his time on Queer Eye. At the time, Drew and Jonathan Scott’s new show Chasing the West was pushed back several weeks, while the second season of Don’t Hate Your House With the Property Brothers was delayed.

Which HGTV Shows Are Safe — And Which Are Canceled — Amid Scheduling Changes

That same month, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that Tarek and Heather Rae El Moussa’s Flipping El Moussas is “not coming back” to HGTV. The same goes for Christina Haack’s series Christina on the Coast, which has also “not been renewed.”

According to a second insider, the trio’s The Flip Off is meant to be “back for a second season, but there is no filming date or air date yet.”

Keep scrolling to see what some HGTV personalities have said about their shows and their future at the network:

Cohost Keith Bynum kicked off the cancellation controversy when he claimed that his show was abruptly ending, writing via Instagram in June 2025, “[HGTV] decided in February, after we got everything ready for season 5, that they weren’t gonna do it.”

‘Married to Real Estate’

Egypt Sherrod and her husband, Mike Jackson, spoke out in June 2025 about the status of their show.

“Mike and I just landed back in the States after an unforgettable family trip through the Mediterranean, and we’re met with unexpected news: HGTV has decided not to move forward with Married to Real Estate,” read the couple’s joint statement. “While the chain of events leading up to this is disheartening, we are deeply grateful. Grateful for four incredible seasons. Grateful for our amazing crew and supportive fans. Grateful that our businesses continue to thrive. And most of all-grateful that we are still very much married to real estate (and to each other).”

Sherrod and Jackson continued: “There’s more to say, and we’ll share soon. But for now, know this: not all setbacks are what they seem. Some blessings show up in disguise. We’ve been here before. We’ll keep counting those blessings-and keep it moving. Stay tuned.”

‘Farmhouse Fixer’

Jonathan Knight weighed in on the future of his show amid the network backlash.

“A lot of you have been asking about the future of Farmhouse Fixer. I am sad to say HGTV has decided not to move forward with another season,” Knight wrote in an Instagram post in June 2025. “While I’m still processing the reasons that led to their decision, Kristina and I are so grateful for all your support over the past three seasons. Television has been so incredibly fun for us. We are so proud of what we created together and look forward to sharing what’s next for us.”

In the comments section, Knight received support from his New Kids on the Block bandmate Donnie Wahlberg, who replied, “On to the next one! You got this. We are all ready for what you do next!”

‘Izzy Does It’

Izzy Battres addressed having to wrap up Izzy Does It after one season.

“It’s a wrap for the show — no season 2 ahead, but we’re truly grateful for all of you!” he responded to one Instagram fan in June 2025. “We won’t be coming back for a 2nd season, but the support has meant the world!”

Battres added: “No season 2 but we’re so grateful for all the love you’ve shown us!!”

Alison Victoria broke the news in July 2025 that her series with Ty Pennington and Taniya Nayak was not coming back.

“I did a show called Battle on the Beach. I love that show. It was so fun and funny. And then all of a sudden, I watched the episode, I’m like, ‘Well, where’d all that [great content] go? I get it, it’s a lot of content to try to put into 42 minutes, but where is it? Where’s the great editing?’” she shared on her “Pap Smear” podcast. “You’ll lose a show that way. I truly believe that. Battle on the Beach did not get picked back up, which is sad, because it was like adult spring break.”

‘Rehab Addict’

With numerous shows being pulled off the air, Rehab Addict’s Nicole Curtis spoke out about her program suddenly being unavailable to view.

“I made the executive decision to shelf the rest of our new shows until fall. I appreciate your support and understanding for the late notice,” Curtis, 48, wrote via Instagram in July 2025. “It’s just a lot of hours (my hours) to get a show on air and we (my family + me) thought – why are we giving up summer when we have the ability to do this in the fall?”

Curtis clarified that her show wasn’t replaced by My Lottery Dream Home because of a cancellation.

“Thank you to the powers at be at HGTV that were receptive to our idea. … Without a doubt, I, truly, am beyond happy with this decision as I just spent the day with a phone that was dead and had no worries about it,” Curtis continued. “They are airing Lottery Dream Home in my place.”

She concluded: “Fun fact, [Lottery Dream Home host] David Bromstad was my pregnancy beach buddy as we were filming and living next to each other in Gulf Shores, Alabama, for Beach Flip. … So, don’t be spreading rumors that he replaced me — I chose it.”

Madi Prewett's Husband Critiqued How She Dressed When They Started Dating

Bachelor Nation star Madi Prewett got real about external validation and how it affected her early relationship with now-husband Grant Troutt.

“I think that has been one of the struggles for me is, like, self-obsession with validation and approval,” Prewett, 29, said on the Monday, July 14, episode of her “Stay True” podcast. “That was something I struggled with really badly in high school. [I] would find little things that I knew would get me attention or, you know, flirt certain ways or post certain ways.”

She added, “[I] was madly in love with Jesus, and still would find myself looking for validation in other people. I remember even Grant, when we first started dating, would call me out [over] how I dressed a little bit.”

Prewett and Troutt, also 29, confirmed their romance in May 2022, and they got married that October.

Madi Prewett on How She’s Being Less ‘Reactive’ in Marriage to Grant Troutt

During Monday’s episode, Prewett said that Troutt questioned “what was the heart behind” the clothes she wore and what she was “trying to get out of that.”

“And, you know, I got a little defensive,” Prewett admitted. “I’m like, ‘What do you mean? You don’t know me. We just started dating.’ Honestly, I’ve learned anytime I’m trying to justify something, usually there’s a little sin there [and] there’s something more to uncover.”

Eventually, Prewett learned that she had been “searching for this validation and approval in other people.”

“I tell other people that they are affirmed and accepted and approved and loved by an almighty God,” she said, “and yet I myself question [that and] don’t always believe that.”

Madison Prewett’s Honest Quotes About Sexuality and Marriage

Prewett hit a setback in her self-acceptance journey after giving birth to her and Troutt’s daughter, Hosanna, in January.

“I’ve shed many tears that my body does not look the way it once did,” she said. “My hair is falling out, my face is breaking out [and] all the things. It’s crazy how it’s like, ‘Oh, this beautiful gift of bringing life into the world that’s such an incredible miracle, [but then there’s] the things that come after, like, your body looking different. I was out to here [with my baby bump], and now my body is trying to figure out its new little situation.”

She continued, “I have had so many thoughts of just, ‘Man, I hate the way that I look and I can’t fit into any of my clothes,’ and that’s so frustrating and humiliating.”

Sullivan’s Crossing’s Cal worries about love interest Maggie’s future — and her possible departure from The Crossing — in Us Weekly’s sneak peek of the season 3 finale.

“I can’t help but notice what a good mood you’ve been in since the surgery,” Cal Jones (Chad Michael Murray) tells Maggie Sullivan (Morgan Kohan) in Us’ exclusive preview of the Wednesday, July 16, episode, while sorting through boxes together at the campground.

“Being back in the O.R. helped me put everything that happened in Boston behind me,” Maggie explains. “I don’t think I realized how much that lawsuit was affecting me. Feels like a weight’s been lifted.”

Much to her surprise, she realizes that working at a hospital isn’t as bad as she remembers — even if her last stint as a neurosurgeon brought on a lawsuit and landed her back home.

While Cal is happy to see Maggie at ease helping others get well, he doesn’t exactly want her to go back to being a doctor if it means leaving The Crossing.

“I overheard Dr. Rabney (Sharleen Kalayil) talking about a job in Chicago,” Cal says, asking, “Are you considering it?”

Maggie is taken aback by Cal’s question, claiming she was “being polite” when she told the doctor she would “get back to her” about the offer.

“I just wonder if you really thought through what you’d be giving up when you moved here,” Cal replies. “Of course I did,” Maggie quips.

Cal, however, doesn’t let it go, confessing, “It feels like you’re missing your career a lot more than you’d like to admit.”

Maggie doesn’t dignify his statement with a response. Instead, she grabs a box and leaves the room. “I’m going to take this over to Sydney,” she says as she walks away from a melancholy Cal.

During the season 3 finale, which airs on Wednesday, both Cal and Sully (Scott Patterson) notice that Maggie might be missing her surgical career more than she’s admitting. “Everyone’s relationships come to a head at the grand opening of Rob’s new restaurant,” according to the official logline.

The episode, titled “Head to the Heart,” will also show Sully getting a “surprise visitor that helps him realize he needs to take a new direction,” per The CW. Maggie, meanwhile, eventually “reconciles with her head and with her heart” shortly before someone from her past “arrives with a shocking revelation.”

While the season 3 finale is sure to leave fans in suspense and with more than a few unanswered questions, they will eventually get answers next season. The CW announced on Wednesday that the show has been picked up for season 4, which will air in 2026.

Which TV Shows Are Renewed in 2025-2026?

“I’m very excited with the season four renewal and am extremely grateful to have supportive partners who understand the value of my brand as well as the importance of producing comfort programming,” executive producer and writer Roma Roth told Deadline in a statement. “It’s very gratifying to know Sullivan’s Crossing is resonating so well with our global audience.”

The Sullivan’s Crossing season 3 finale airs on The CW Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET. Seasons 1 and 2 are currently streaming on Netflix, with season 3 dropping next month.

2025's Best Thriller Is Now Streaming — and It Has an 84 Percent on Rotten Tomatoes

Peacock just added one of the best thrillers of 2025 — and you probably haven’t even heard of it.

Drop, a tense and twist-ridden technological thriller starring Meghann Fahy (The White Lotus, Sirens), didn’t do huge box office numbers, but we expect it to be — pun intended — a killer on streaming.

The movie currently holds an 84 percent “Fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and Fahy’s status as a rising star should help propel it to viral success.

Watch With Us breaks down the reasons you should stream this exciting movie, which also stars 1923 standout Brandon Sklenar.

‘Drop’ Brilliantly Dramatizes the Terror of Modern Dating

Drop begins with a simple, relatively low-stakes premise: single mom Violet (Fahy) is going on her first date since her husband’s death. The date takes a terrifying turn, however, when Violet begins receiving anonymous digital drops to her phone telling her that she must murder her date, Henry (Sklenar). With this unusual premise, Drop takes something already inherently scary — dating — and builds on it.

“Getting back out there” after a relationship ends for any reason is always terrifying, but Violet’s experience is especially complicated (even before the drops begin). She’s grieving the loss of her son’s father, but her late husband (Michael Shea) was abusive, leaving her with conflicting feelings about relationships in general.

There are already so many things for her to fear. Will she like Henry in real life? (They’ve been chatting on a dating app for months.) If the relationship takes off, will Henry get along with her son? And is she really ready to make herself vulnerable to love after being with such a toxic partner?

By raising the stakes of this date, writers Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach, along with director Christopher Landon, dramatize how dangerous the quest for love can sometimes feel. (If you’re in the dating scene, you may be comforted knowing this exact scenario is very unlikely to happen to you.)

Even the movie title, Drop, feels like a metaphor for dating — you have to leap into the unknown, without knowing what awaits you as you fall.

‘Drop’ Comments on Technology Without Feeling Forced

Plenty of horror movies and thrillers make technology itself the villain. But while Drop uses the concept of dropping content to a stranger’s phone as part of its story, it’s not an overly simplistic “What if your cell phone tried to kill you?” narrative.

Technology also serves as a positive force in the movie, connecting Henry and Violet, who share a genuine connection after meeting through an app.

What Drop also does well is highlight how vulnerable being perpetually “connected” makes us to bad actors. It’s a reminder about the importance of cybersecurity — without being preachy or condemning technology entirely.

It’s a Great Showcase for an Underrated Actress

We’ve been fans of Fahy since The Bold Type, and it’s a pleasure to see her getting recognized in the Hollywood mainstream. She nails “terrified but trying to act normal” throughout the movie, and Violet feels refreshingly distinct from Daphne on The White Lotus or Devon in Sirens.

3 Underrated Peacock Movies to Watch This Weekend (July 11-13)

As Violet, Fahy gets to play a vulnerable woman who finds her inner strength under terrifying circumstances. It’s one of her first major lead movie roles — and it’s just as fun and clever as the hit shows that are making her a star.
