Below Deck producers have been forced to step in when the situation calls for it.

The reality series, which debuted in 2013, follows the lives of crew members who reside and work on a superyacht during charter season. Below Deck has since expanded to multiple spinoffs including Below Deck Mediterranean, Below Deck Sailing Yacht, Below Deck Down Under and Below Deck Adventure.

During season 6 of Below Deck Med, Katie Flood revealed that Lexi Wilson‘s altercation — when she shoved Mzi “Zee” Dempers — was actually worse off screen.

“Production actually stepped in because it was getting so out of hand,” Katie told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live in 2021. “They actually stepped in and like lost our s—t like, “This is not what we are about.’ And if it goes any further I’m pretty sure Lexi would have been removed straight away. But I guess she reined it in at that point.”

Malia White, who joined Kate on WWHL, recalled being concerned during the incident, adding, “If anything she was edited nicely that night. She was much worse.”

Executive producer Nadine Rajabi previously hinted that not everything from season 6 was included in the final cut.

“Something happens this season, which we don’t show,” Nadine explained on the “Group Text” podcast in 2021. “Where I’ve had to go out and stop the situation. So there’s a lot of times like that where I will not tolerate that. And it’s not OK. It’s unacceptable and those are the times when I will step in and go this isn’t OK or you’ve got to let people go in those situations.”

Below Deck had a franchise first when season 12 kicked off with Chef Lawrence Snowden threatening to quit — after struggling to film the show and arguing with producers.

During the season 12 premiere on Monday, June 2, Chef Lawrence admitted he was unsure about joining St. David because of the cameras, saying, “I was a bit apprehensive about the TV part of the job but I just thought, ‘Just get out of your comfort zone and give it a whirl.’ It should be fun.”

It wasn’t fun, however, when Lawrence kept breaking the fourth wall.

“Would you mind not filming while I get this piece of equipment out?” he asked the offscreen cameraman, who did not oblige and kept filming. “Am I not allowed to talk to you? It is going to be a long six weeks, isn’t it?”

Lawrence’s first charter on Below Deck only got tougher when he kept complaining about the “cameras in your face.” As he got more frustrated, he called out producers more frequently on screen.

“This day has been enough for me, to be honest,” he later admitted to deckhand Damo Yorg. “When those camera people come in, I just want to tell them to f**k off.”

At the end of the episode, Lawrence completely lost his cool during breakfast when several burners in the kitchen didn’t work properly. Lawrence specifically looked at the cameraman when asking him to go because he was “f**king done” with the charter.

The cameraman was seen leaving, followed by a producer who stepped in.

“The cameras are here to film the show. Everyone is just doing their job here,” the offscreen producer said in an attempt to reason with Lawrence, who yelled back, “I get told, ‘We want to make you succeed.’ It is bollocks. That is a lie.”

Captain Kerry Titheradge tried to step in — but it only made the situation worse. “I am f***ing furious. I am shaking. I can’t do another charter, I am sorry,” Lawrence told his boss as the premiere came to an end.

Before the season 12 premiere, chief steward Fraser Olender weighed in on Lawrence’s difficult assimilation.

“He was a very good chef. He is an amazing chef. It’s hard to forget about the fourth wall,” he explained in May. “It’s a TV show but we are working very, very hard and we don’t get to cut corners.”

Fraser recalled how Lawrence “struggled” with the concept of being filmed. “It’s tough. It’s not for the faint-hearted,” he noted. “I also say a lot, the yachties who work in the real world on yachts can’t do what we do. This is three jobs in one.”

According to Fraser, most yachties a.k.a anyone who works on a yacht as a career has expressed their “hate” for coworkers who go on Below Deck.

“They say that. But they all watch us so I don’t know if it’s a case of jealousy or not. Sorry guys, it’s true. A lot of yachties don’t think it’s real representation,” he explained. “It’s not our fault that you can’t cram every single hour of six weeks into every episode — but it’s the real deal.”

Fraser continued: “We don’t get help. Everything that happens has happened authentically. It is the most authentic reality television that I think I’m aware of and I want people to know that.”

As for Lawrence? Fraser couldn’t give too much away but he hinted that the chef didn’t give up that easily.

“I think he gets through it. He tries to get through it and he does,” Fraser told Us before hinting at other possible cast exits. “There are firings. There are hirings. There are disasters left, right and center. But I cannot tell you enough how dramatic and how fun this season is. It is nonstop.”

Kerry, meanwhile, told Us he tried to help ease the tension for Lawrence — and the crew.

“I could see his struggles and I spent a lot of time with them to help him assimilate to this TV world,” he shared. “[Breaking the fourth wall usually] doesn’t happen. But in that situation with Lawrence, he was losing it. We can see in the episode that I hear this yelling and I don’t put up with anyone yelling at anybody unless I’m doing it.”

Kerry added: “So I raced down to rescue the situation and I’ve been supporting Lawrence. But sometimes you’ve got to be a little more assertive. So I had to go down there and do captain s***.”

Justin Baldoni’s team claims Blake Lively is seeking to remove her emotional distress claims against the It Ends With Us director amid their ongoing legal battle.

According to a letter to Judge Lewis J. Liman obtained by Variety on Monday, June 2, Lively, 37, is attempting to withdraw claims of intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligent infliction of emotional distress against Baldoni. The decision came after Baldoni’s legal team sought Lively’s medical records as part of discovery.

“Instead of complying with the Medical RFPs, Ms. Lively’s counsel recently advised us, in writing, that Ms. Lively is withdrawing her [infliction of emotional distress] Claims,” Baldoni’s team stated in the filing. “However, Ms. Lively has refused the Wayfarer Parties’ reasonable request that the withdrawal of such claims be with prejudice. She is only willing to withdraw her claims without prejudice. In other words, Ms. Lively wants to simultaneously: (a) refuse to disclose the information and documents needed to disprove that she suffered any emotional distress and/or that the Wayfarer Parties were the cause; and (b) maintain the right to re-file her IED Claims at an unknown time in this or some other court after the discovery window has closed.”

Per Variety, Baldoni’s lawyers want Lively to sign a HIPAA release for access to therapy notes and other relevant information.

“By alleging that she suffered physical and emotional injuries, Ms. Lively has placed her physical and mental condition at issue and, in turn, must produce relevant information and documents [including] psychiatric records,” the filing stated. “In other words, Ms. Lively has waived any doctor-patient privilege.”

Lively’s lawyers Esra Hudson and Mike Gottlieb, however, denied Baldoni’s team’s claims in a statement to Us Weekly.

“Once again this is a routine part of the litigation process that is being used as a press stunt. We are doing what trial lawyers do: preparing our case for trial by streamlining and focusing it; they are doing what they do: desperately seeking another tired round of tabloid coverage,” the statement read. “The Baldoni-Wayfarer strategy of filing retaliatory claims has exposed them to expansive new damages claims under California law, rendering certain of Ms. Lively’s original claims no longer necessary. Ms. Lively continues to allege emotional distress, as part of numerous other claims in her lawsuit, such as sexual harassment and retaliation, and massive additional compensatory damages on all of her claims.”

Us has reached out to Baldoni for comment.

Lively and Baldoni’s legal issues began in December 2024. Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, accusing her It Ends With Us director and costar of sexual harassment, creating a hostile work environment and orchestrating an alleged smear campaign against her.

Baldoni has denied the allegations. He subsequently filed a $400 million lawsuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds and their publicist Leslie Sloane, accusing them of civil extortion, defamation, false light invasion of privacy and more. They have denied the claims and requested for the lawsuit to be dismissed.

Patrick Dempsey’s twin sons are all grown up — and the actor couldn’t be prouder!

Dempsey, 59, shared a rare photo of his twin sons Darby and Sullivan, who recently celebrated their 18th birthdays and graduated from high school. The actor shared a photo of himself, the twins and their mother Jillian Fink on Instagram and captioned it, “Graduation!! So proud of you boys and cannot wait to see where the next chapter of your lives will take you!”

Dempsey and Fink also share their daughter Talula. The pair separated in 2015 but called off their divorce a year later.

Jillian originally filed for divorce from the Grey’s Anatomy actor in January 2015, citing irreconcilable differences. In the documents, she requested spousal support and joint custody of their three children. Neither party took steps to further the proceedings, and the pair reconciled later that year.

“You have to work at everything. And you cannot do everything. Something has to be sacrificed,” Patrick told ES magazine in May 2016, after confirming that he and Jillian were back together.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s daughter Shiloh is going by a new professional moniker.

Shiloh, 19, appeared at the launch of Isabel Marant’s capsule collection with Net-A-Porter on Thursday, May 29, in Los Angeles. According to a press release obtained by Page Six from the event, Shiloh was listed as “Shi Joli.” The name is a shortened version of her legal name that pays homage to her mother.

At the event, Shi was credited as a choreographer for an original dance number. The routine was performed by Keoni Rose and Tako Suzuki to singer-songwriter Luella’s new song “Naïve.” Alison Brie, January Jones, Rachel Bilson and more stars were in attendance for the event.

Shi’s new moniker comes nearly one year after she filed paperwork to drop her dad’s last name and legally go by Shiloh Jolie. In May 2024, Shi made the legal request on her 18th birthday. A source told Us Weekly at the time that Shi “hired her own lawyer and paid for it herself.”

“My name is Zahara Marley Jolie,” she said in a video shared by Essence in November 2023. “Coming all the way from the Golden State in the city that is full of angels, Los Angeles, California. … I am this line’s No. 7.”

In May 2024, Us confirmed that Vivienne was credited as Vivienne Jolie in the Playbill for the Broadway play The Outsiders. Vivienne worked as a production assistant on the show, which was produced by Angelina. It is unclear whether Zahara or Vivienne legally changed their names.

Shi, Zahara and Vivienne’s new moniker debuts came amid their parents’ divorce. Pitt and Angelina, who tied the knot in August 2014 after nearly a decade together, split in September 2016. Three years after the actress filed for divorce, the pair were declared legally single.

While over 300 of Princess Diana‘s personal effects, including many of her iconic designer dresses, are set to go under the hammer at a private auction on Thursday, June 26, her coats are conspicuously absent from the collection — and the heartwarming reason why has now been revealed.

These beloved garments have actually never been put up for auction or sale,despite “Princess Diana’s Style & A Royal Collection” by Julien’s Auctions featuring a wide array of her personal belongings.

Martin Nolan, co-founder and executive director of Julien’s Auctions, explained the touching truth behind this absence in a People interview published Friday, May 30.

“We learnt through this how generous Diana was, always giving items,” he shared. “And you never see a coat from Diana come to auction because she used to get her butler or her staff or friends to drive around London [in] January, February, [in the] freezing cold.”

Nolan further elaborated on the Princess of Wales’ quiet acts of charity, stating, “She’d find homeless people and give them her coats.” He emphasized that this wasn’t an isolated incident, adding, “That’s how she was — without any spectacle or whatever.”
Diana’s fashion choices were not just about aesthetics; they were a form of self-expression and empowerment, with every outfit telling a story. Her generous spirit extended beyond her personal wardrobe.

Among the items hitting the auction block is Princess Diana’s 1986 Catherine Walker Falcon evening gown. Nolan described the piece, saying, “This beautiful dress was designed by Catherine Walker, with the falcons in migration mode all the way down the back. She wore this to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia on a royal visit back in the late 1980s.”

He also noted the dress’s historical significance: “When Diana did her own auction in 1997, just two months before she suddenly passed away, this was one of the dresses that she sold for charity. She sold over 70 gowns at the behest of her son, Prince William, and to raise money for her charities. She raised over $3 million, which was huge at that time.”

Diana’s approach to her wardrobe also reflected her desire to support British designers. “She worked with Anna Harvey from British Vogue, an editor, and other designers because she always wanted to spotlight British designers and up-and-coming designers,” Nolan explained.

Nolan recounted its fascinating origin: “When Princess Diana was in France in September 1995, Bernadette Chirac was the First Lady of France at the time. She wanted to give Diana a gift, so she chose a Dior bag. She called up Dior. They gave her the Chouchou bag, which this bag was initially known as.”

He continued, “And it was fabric. When Bernard Arnault was told that this gift was going to happen, he said, ‘Retract it,’ because this was a prototype, because they were now doing this bag in lambskin.”

This led to the iconic exchange: “So [they] took back the fabric one, gifted this to Diana, and this is the bag she wore when she went to Argentina in November 1995.”

The Chouchou bag then became so popular that they renamed it the Lady Dior bag.

“And it’s the most talked about, sought-after item that we could have in this entire lot,” Nolan said. “People just love, love, love this bag. If you were to buy it in the high street today, [it] cost you somewhere between $6,500 and $7,000, if you could get it. We estimate this one, Princess Diana’s, [will go for] $20,000 to $40,000, but it’ll go to the roof.”

Jesus Guerrero’s family is reacting to the release of the celebrity hairstylist’s official cause of death.

After the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner confirmed on Monday, June 2, that Jesus died of natural causes in connection with two separate infections, his sister Gris Guerrero exclusively told Us Weekly that the entire family is “still processing” the news.

“I can’t say how we are fully feeling about the whole thing,” she shared with Us on Monday. “We knew some of his symptoms toward the end were pneumonia-like, but there are more factors [which] led to that at the end.”

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner revealed that Jesus died of pneumocystis pneumonia (PCP) and disseminated cryptococcus neoformans, which are fungal infections that can severely impact those with weakened immune systems.

According to the CDC, PCP is a rare, serious lung infection with symptoms that can develop over several days or weeks.

“This is so new,” Gris continued, “so we are still processing all the information.”

Jesus, a celebrity hairstylist for stars like Kylie Jenner and Katy Perry, died “suddenly and unexpectedly” on February 22 at age 34. He was laid to rest in Houston, Texas, one month later.

Throughout the month of February, Jesus was working with several high-profile clients including Kali Uchis for the 2025 Grammys and Jennifer Lopez for a work trip to the United Arab Emirates.

At the time of Jesus’ passing, Gris shared with Us that there were “so many unanswered questions” about her family member’s death.

“We have been able to track every one of his steps, but we don’t know what got him sick or what was [the] sickness,” she explained to Us. “It all happened suddenly, and no one knows why.”

As for how the family will move forward after the official cause of death was revealed, Gris said it “depends on how we end up settling on all of our feelings.”

“Close friends have been in contact here and there when they think of him,” Gris added when discussing the family’s ongoing grieving process.

As Gris continues to mourn her loss, she has tried to keep her brother’s memory alive.

In a post from the family’s GoFundMe page, Gris shared her fondest memories with her sibling.

Christina Haack is sharing a glimpse into how she was able to settle her divorce from Josh Hall.

“I signed something,” Haack, 41, shared on the Monday, June 2, episode of SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live. “There’s like a process after the process. It was resolved in mediation after I think 12 hours.”

When host Jeff Lewis asked if the HGTV star was happy with the settlement, Haack admitted that she didn’t want to share too many details regarding the agreement.

“I heard a saying once, like, if you both think you’re screwed, then whatever you want. I don’t know how it goes…” she said. “Look, it’s not great, but I guess it’s done.”

Cohost Shane Douglas later clarified that the saying is, “If both parties are equally unhappy after the negotiation, then you got what you want.”

On May 2, Us Weekly confirmed that Haack had settled her divorce from Hall, 44.  The pair were married for two years before calling it quits in July 2024.

“Christina is pleased to confirm that a settlement has been reached through mediation,” a rep for the HGTV star told Us in a statement at the time. “She extends her sincere appreciation to her attorney, Laura Wasser, and her team for their professional guidance and support throughout the process.”

Haack also celebrated the good news on her social media by expressing thanks to her legal team, referring to Wasser as the “disso queen.”

“You are all a true class act. I loved watching you in action and how you handle everything and everyone with class and grace,” the interior designer wrote via her Instagram Story. “I appreciate you all beyond words. I have learned so much under your guidance.”

While details surrounding the settlement have yet to be publicly revealed, Haack joked that she will stop by Lewis’ show again when it’s public record.

“I don’t know if I’m allowed to talk about it. It’ll be in the doc soon. It’ll be public knowledge in a few,” she teased. “I think I’ll come back next month, and then we can talk about everything that’s public knowledge.”

Both Haack and Hall have moved on romantically following their divorce. The Christina On the Coast star is dating Christopher Laocca, while Hall has been seeing Stephanie Gabrys.

When Lewis, 55, asked Haack if she misses her in-laws, she replied “no comment” before sharing an anecdote from mediation.

“At one point, this thing came up where his reputation got hurt or whatever ’cause you know, he was a reality TV star before me, and now he can’t be a reality TV star anymore because nobody likes him,” Haack alleged. “His mom was at yoga and while she was doing her yoga poses, a fellow yogian said, ‘Your son is a thief,’ during yoga class. It kinda made me laugh.”

Clint Eastwood doesn’t plan on walking away from the cameras anytime soon.

“As an actor, I was still under contract with a studio, was in the old system, and thus forced to learn something new every year,” the director and actor, 95, told the Austrian paper Kurier in an interview published on Friday, May 30, per a translation from Reuters. “And that’s why I’ll work as long as I can still learn something, or until I’m truly senile.”

The Bridges of Madison County actor continued: “There’s no reason why a man can’t get better with age. And I have much more experience today. Sure, there are directors who lose their touch at a certain age, but I’m not one of them.”

The actor also weighed in on Hollywood’s apparent obsession with remakes and blockbuster films.

“We live in an era of remakes and franchises,” Eastwood explained. “I’ve shot sequels three times, but I haven’t been interested in that for a long while. My philosophy is: do something new or stay at home.”

Eastwood has continued to focus on his work while simultaneously mourning the loss of his longtime girlfriend, Christina Sandera, who died in July 2024.

After walking in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit show, the 24-year-old Olympic gymnast took to TikTok on Sunday, June 1, to show off her new ink.

In her vlog, Chiles gave a glimpse of her getting a new tattoo on her hip, honoring Miami Swim Week.

“As you can tell, I’m in half a bikini and a shirt because I am about to get a tattoo,” she gushed. “All my tattoos have meanings to them, so this one I’m going to debut on the runway today. I’m really excited!” she gushed, noting that her friend’s tattoo artist was in her hotel room.

Chiles topped off her ensemble with an embroidered cowgirl hat, which she tipped towards the crowd as she danced down the runway.

Lingering questions surrounding the sudden death of David Hasselhoff’s ex-wife Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff have been answered.

Bach-Hasselhoff died on March 5 at the age of 62. According to documents obtained by Us Weekly, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner listed the official cause of death as a suicide. The official toxicology report also revealed that she had Benzodiazepines, Clonazepam and 7-Aminoclonazepam in her system at the time of her death.

Benzodiazepines can be used to treat anxiety and seizure disorders, according to The Cleveland Clinic. Clonazepam and 7-Aminoclonazepam are used to treat panic disorders and seizure disorders, per The Cleveland Clinic.

The report also noted that Bach-Hasselhoff “mentioned suicide last year, but there were never any attempts.” She also spoke to her daughter at 7:45 a.m. on March 5, the night she died, and told her that she “loved her very much.”

David Hasselhoff’s Ex-Wife Pamela Wrote About ‘Happiness’ Before Her Death

Hasselhoff mourned the loss of his ex-wife in a statement to TMZ at the time.

“Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff,” he said. “We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time but we kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time.”

The pair met on the set of Knight Rider when Bach-Hasselhoff was a guest star. They married in 1989 and share daughters Taylor, 34, and Hayley, 32. They divorced in 2006.

After their divorce was finalized, Bach-Hasselhoff told The Associated Press, “I’ve always loved him and always will, and have love and compassion for him. It’s a very, very sad day, but a day to move on.”

Hasselhoff is currently married to Hayley Roberts, whom he wed in 2018. “I told my girls what I was going to do and they were both really supportive,” Hasselhoff told Hello! magazine in 2016 after proposing to Roberts. “It’s tough. No one wants to see their parents split up. But they love Hayley and they’re just happy for me.”

The fashion designer, 53, revealed to Us Weekly exclusively that she is living her “best life” following her separation from her husband of 26 years, Rodger Berman. Seven months after her split, Zoe is encouraging all women to find their own sense of fulfillment.

“As a woman in business and a mother, I will scream at the top of Mount Everest if I have to [about] how important it is for women to have their own independence, financially and socially,” Zoe exclusively told Us while at the Living Beauty Spring Luncheon and Fundraiser in Beverly Hills on Friday, May 30. “Women need to be able to stand on their own no matter what. No matter how in love they are [or] how great their life is. If you can stand on your own, then you’re in a position of strength no matter what happens.”

Zoe and Berman, who share sons Skyler, 14, and Kaius, 11, filed for separation in September 2024 after 26 years of marriage and 33 years together. The stylist is passionate about teaching women and girls “everywhere in the world, and certainly in this country, how important it is to have your independence.”

“You don’t just work till you get married. It is really, really important for a million and one reasons,” Zoe explained. “You never know what’s going to happen in your life. She is successfully coparenting with Berman and her sons are doing “amazing” since the split because “they have two parents who love them,” which is the “the only thing that really matters.” Zoe added that the “stronger” and “happier” she feels, the “better [the kids] can feel it.”

“I am really happy. I’m not Instagram happy. I’m actually really happy,” Zoe gushed to Us. “I’m enjoying this new ride. I’m enjoying looking at life through a different lens. Just working hard and doing lots of exciting things.”

One of those exciting things could include a new television show. Zoe revealed that she is open to returning to TV, if the project is aligned with her current mindset. The mother of two previously appeared on Bravo’s The Rachel Zoe Project, which aired from 2007 to 2013, and on the Lifetime series Fashionably Late With Rachel Zoe, which ran for one season in 2015.

“We’ll see,” Zoe said when asked about her television future. “I think if the right opportunity comes along, and the stars align, and it all makes sense, and I have a lot to say — then maybe we’ll see.”

One of the projects Zoe is making space for is her work with Living Beauty Cancer Foundation, which raised over $745,000 at Friday’s luncheon to support free wellness and healing experiences for women with cancer. As a woman who has been “plagued by cancer in all aspects of my life,” Zoe told Us that the cause was particularly close to her heart.

“My mother, grandmother, sister, dad, uncle and both grandfathers [have had cancer]. I know it well,” Zoe shared. “I think that Living Beauty is more impactful than anyone can realize until they’re going through it. The foundation really creates this community of women. No situation is the same, but at least they’re feeling that together.”

Joshua Jackson has filed a request for an emergency custody order modification.

Jackson, 46, filed a motion on Friday, June 30, alleging that ex-wife Jodie Turner-Smith changed 5-year-old daughter Juno’s school without his approval, per court documents obtained by Us Weekly. (Jackson and Turner-Smith, now 38, welcomed Juno in April 2020.)

Jackson claimed in the docs that Turner-Smith finds it to be “no big deal to force Juno to start over with a new school.” The Dawson’s Creek alum alleged that he’s concerned that “Jodie is attempting to create a scenario where Juno travels with her rather than attending a traditional school.”

In the docs, Jackson requested the court order Juno to continue to be enrolled in the school she has been at for the next year. He also asked for there to be joint approval between him and Turner-Smith for Juno’s additional school changes in the future.

The news comes less than one month after Jackson and Turner-Smith reached a divorce settlement, according to court documents obtained by Us. In the deal, the former couple agreed to share joint legal and physical custody of Juno.

The deal, which was signed on May 3, meant that neither Jackson nor Turner-Smith would receive spousal support. While the docs noted that Turner-Smith alleged that the pair separated on September 13, 2023, Jackson listed their split date as September 30, 2023.

Us confirmed in October 2023 that Turner-Smith filed for divorce from Jackson after more than four years of marriage and cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split.

“It’s just about — center the children and that’s all you can do,” Turner-Smith told Entertainment Tonight in November 2024 of navigating parenthood amid a split. “Nobody gets everything right but at least when you know you’re focused on the right thing, you know you’re gonna do your best.”

Jackson, for his part, has been candid about making his daughter his No. 1 priority.

He continued, “Regardless of how messy the divorce is, beautiful the divorce is, easy [or] hard the co-parenting is … I think this generation of dads is understanding, like, ‘I need to be here. It’s gonna be hard, but this is important, and I’ve got to do this.’ It’s my job — shared with my ex-wife — to do everything that we can to nurture you, cultivate you and give you all the tools that you need in life.”

Five-time Olympic medalist Tom Daley explained how the 19-year age gap between him and his husband, screenwriter Dustin Lance Black, has taken on a different shape since the couple first started dating more than a decade ago. 

Daley, 31, and Black, 50, got married in 2017 after four years together. In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, the British diving star explained that the couple’s age difference feels smaller by the year. 

“One hundred percent,” said Daley, whose life and career are profiled in the new documentary Tom Daley: 1.6 Seconds. “It’s funny because the people that know us know that I’m the more mature person that kinds of runs the show in the house.”

The couple share two sons, both welcomed via surrogate: Robbie, 6, and Phoenix, 2.

“As we get older, I think we both align very well on what we want to achieve,” Daley added. “We’re both really big dreamers. Daley, who retired from professional diving after earning a silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, recently aligned with Black on a full-time move to Los Angeles from Daley’s native England.

“There were a number of reasons, honestly,” Daley said when asked about the family’s decision to come stateside. “Part of it was the fact that Lance moved to the U.K. for me to be able to do my diving for the longest time. He moved away from his business and his work. ‘Now it’s his turn’ kind of vibe.”

Following his retirement last year, Daley admitted it “still feels weird” to be away from the pool in a professional capacity. 

“I watch all the diving competitions,” Daley said. “There’s still part of me that’s like, ‘Oh, I could do that.’ You know what I mean? Like, ‘I could do it better than them. What are they doing? Come on. Is that really all they got?’ There’s still a part of me that’s a bit like, ‘Oof.’”

Still, when asked if there was any chance he might change his mind about retirement, Daley was definitive.

“No, we’re done,” he said. 

In the new documentary 1.6 Seconds, Daley emotionally recounts the death of his father, Robert, who died of a brain tumor in 2011, years before Daley started his own family. 

“That was part of the reason to do the documentary, for them to be able to have something to look back on and get to know their grandad a little bit,” Daley explained. “Get to know what their papa did with his whole life. I think that’s something that’s really important and one of the reasons the documentary happened in the first place. For my kids.”

In the documentary, Daley is seen splashing around in the family pool with both of his sons. But when it comes to them potentially following in his footsteps, Daley said, “That’s on them.”

“If they want to start diving, they can tell me they want to start diving,” he noted. “But I’m never going to push anything on them that they don’t want to do. So, if they showed interest in it.”

Daley continued, “Robbie doesn’t really show interest in that side of things. Whereas Phoenix is slightly more of a second child. Daredevil, crazy. You know, the feral child. There’s slightly more interest.”

Tom Llamas is continuing to prioritize his family as he takes on his new role as the host of NBC Nightly News.

Llamas’ parents both fled Cuba during the regime of Fidel Castro and met as teens after moving to the U.S. Llamas, who grew up in Miami, credits his mom and dad for sparking his passion for journalism.

“My parents were always into current events, and they gave that to me,” he told Florida NBC affiliate WESH in June 2025. “I think they also gave me, they taught me I should say, about hard work and diligence and they’ve worked very hard.”

While chatting with Diaz-Balart on NBC Nightly News that same month, he added, “To say that my parents came here with nothing and now their son is gonna be the anchor of Nightly News … to me, that means the American Dream is still alive. And I know that because I’m living it.”

Tom and Jennifer welcomed their eldest child in 2013. Malena got a taste of her dad’s job by serving as a correspondent for NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt: Kid’s Edition. She interviewed Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage star Montana Jordan during a November 2024 episode of the series.

Tom celebrated his daughter’s birthday via Instagram in March 2025. “Happiest ‘Golden Birthday’ this week to the best big sis we know,” he captioned a post featuring photos of her from over the years. “M we love you so much!”

Juliette Llamas

Tom and Jennifer became a family of four with the birth of daughter Juliette in 2015. The host’s second eldest has a talent for gymnastics, taking home a first-place trophy at a competition in April 2024. “Big week for our little competitors. Go Team Llamas!” Tom wrote alongside Instagram pics and clips from Juliette and his son Thomas’ respective events.

Tom and Jennifer’s son Thomas, born in 2017, shares his dad’s love of sports and news. Thomas sat down with several members of the New York Mets during an April 2025 episode of NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt: Kid’s Edition.
