When it’s just too hot outside but you still want to look cute and feel covered, a romper is the answer. But not just any romper. We’re talking one that’s flattering, comfy and earns compliments like it’s a full-time job. Amazon shoppers think they’ve found the one: a boutique-worthy romper that’s breezy, polished and, best of all, seriously good at smoothing the midsection. One reviewer even dubbed it the “best tummy hider” — and we’re sold.
This sleeveless one-piece features a relaxed fit that creates shape without clinging. Shoppers love the soft, drapey fabric and the easy pull-on style that makes getting dressed a no-brainer. Whether you’re headed to brunch, the beach or just running errands in the heat, this romper delivers that effortlessly put-together vibe. Bonus? It’s less than $30 — but only for a limited time.
The romper comes in more than 25 colors, and they’re so gorgeous it’s hard for Us to choose just one. And shoppers agree! “So cute, I bought three different colors,” one reviewer wrote. “It’s super comfy and well-made, so I’ll be ordering a few more to rotate through during the summer months.”
It has a loose, drapey fit that’s “super forgiving,” and feels cool and comfortable even in the humid summer heat. The spaghetti straps of the romper are adjustable so you can get the perfect fit up top. And yes, it has pockets (two on the sides) that reviewers say are deep enough to actually hold your essentials.
This is the versatile, throw-on-and-go piece to have in your summer wardrobe. When the weather gets chillier, wear a thermal or long-sleeve underneath. But in the meantime, pair it with a tee and dress it up or down with sneakers or sandals. “I need another one!” one shopper said. “I ordered it as a cover-up for vacation, but ended up wearing it multiple times with tee shirts or tanks underneath. It can be dressed up or down, and is so comfy!”
A functional romper that feels like loungewear? Sign Us up! It’s only a matter of time before you order more colors.
Sometimes we all need a little break from reality. That’s one of the most appealing aspects of sci-fi, as it offers a temporary glance at worlds that only resemble our own.
Some of the most popular sci-fi movies ever made also revolve around war, including the obvious example, Star Wars. But not all those flicks function as escapist entertainment and war stories.
The Watch With Us team has selected three great sci-fi movies to watch on Memorial Day Weekend that successfully blend war into the stories without getting oppressively grim.
Our first pick is a sci-fi classic from the late ’90s, followed by a remake of an iconic science fiction novel and a more recent film that debuted as a Prime Video original.
Robert A. Heinlein‘s Starship Troopers novel is neither a comedy nor a satire, but director Paul Verhoeven and screenwriter Edward Neumeier added a satirical edge to the film that has made it a cult classic. In the future, humanity’s reach extends far beyond the Earth as the colonization of the universe begins. The humans are initially dismissive of the giant alien arachnids that they encounter until the bugs launch a devastating long-distance assault on Earth.
Johnny Rico (Casper Van Dien), Dizzy Flores (Dina Meyer), Carmen Ibanez (Denise Richards) and Carl Jenkins (Neil Patrick Harris) didn’t join the military because they wanted to go to war. Yet all of them are swept up in a galactic conflict that is rapidly becoming an inevitable triumph for the bugs. Unless something changes quickly, humanity is about to become an endangered species.
Tom Cruise‘s second collaboration with director Steven Spielberg was a modern adaptation of H.G. Wells‘ classic novel, The War of the Worlds. And unlike Cruise’s previous Spielberg film, Minority Report, he’s no action hero here. Instead, Ray Ferrier (Cruise) is just a divorced dock worker taking care of his kids, Rachel (Dakota Fanning) and Robbie (Justin Chatwin), when aliens suddenly arrive on Earth and launch a devastating attack.
Earth’s military forces can’t hold off the aliens’ superior technology, and Ray is forced to flee with his children and keep away from the invaders. Since the aliens appear to be harvesting humans for blood, there’s seemingly nowhere safe to run. The only thing Ray can do is keep his children alive as long as possible.
Guardians of the Galaxy leading man Chris Pratt stars in The Tomorrow War as James Daniel Forester Jr., a former Green Beret who thought his military service was behind him. Unfortunately for Dan, humanity’s darkest days are ahead, as evidenced by the arrival of soldiers from the future. These visitors from another time come with a dire warning that humanity will perish in a war against alien invaders if modern soldiers and civilians don’t enlist to go to the future and fight the war alongside their descendants.
When Dan gets to the future, he discovers that the situation is even more desperate than he was led to believe. He also teams up with his now-adult daughter, Colonel Muri Forester (Yvonne Strahovski), and eventually reunites with his estranged father, James Daniel Forester, Sr. (J. K. Simmons), to find a way to end the alien reign of terror.
Shopping for clothes has never been easy for me, namely because I’m pretty short — 5’3″ to be exact. But while you might think I’d struggle with pants the most, I’ve had one too many issues with summer dresses. So many silhouettes and patterns make me disappear, to the point where the dress is wearing me rather than the other way around.
I’ve spent years trying to find the best designs that accentuate my petite frame and even help me look a little taller, so I know exactly what will make other petite women feel like a million bucks. If you’re ready to exude confidence and look amazing, keep reading for the best summer dresses for petite frames.
15 Summer Dresses That Don’t Swallow Petite Frames
1. Our Favorite: Babydoll dresses are a solid choice for petite frames. They hit you in all the right places, accentuating your waist while also making your legs appear longer.
2. Flowy & Flattering: Some looser fitting dresses can make petite gals look like a sack of potatoes. This relaxed shift dress isn’t restrictive or bulky, so you can confidently wear it out.
3. Midi for Minis: Midi dresses oftentimes end up looking like maxi dresses for those under 5’4″. Luckily, this ruffled pick lands right below the knee — no hemming required!
4. Ideal Neckline: Once you slip into this floral stunner you’ll want to wear it all season long. The halterneck creates a continuous line, elongating your stature to help you look taller.
5. Cute and Casual: What’s better than shorts and a T-shirt? A wear anywhere T-shirt dress. The fun waist bow ensures the garment shows off your shape.
6. Petite Party: One thing we especially love about Lands’ End? The brand offers petite sizing in their dresses, including this summery cotton maxi, which is currently on sale at Nordstrom!
7. Floral Fantasy: Loud patterns can often drown out petite frames. However, when they’re paired with silhouettes that lengthen your figure — like this Petal & Pup design — you end up looking almost as tall as a supermodel.
8. Drop Waist for the Win: Drop waist dresses can make petite frames look longer. This strapless pick was made for elevated events, like weddings or dressy summer brunches.
9. She Was a Skater Girl…Not actually, but she was wearing a skater dress! This silhouette — and particularly this athletic pick — always looks amazing on petite frames.
10. Fits Like a Glove: The Skims Soft Lounge Long Slip Dress has gone viral for numerous reasons — including for how it helps petite women appear longer and leaner.
11. Stretchy Denim: This top-rated Quince denim dress comfortably stretches to hug your curves, and ultimately makes you look about five inches taller.
12. Get It While You Can: The angular hem on this casual jersey dress from Quince shows off a little more leg, which — you guessed it — stretches out your frame. The brand is discontinuing it soon, so be sure to add a few colors to your cart.
13. Color Block Cutie: While loud patterns aren’t always the best choice, a little colorblock number won’t overpower petite women. We love this shift dress that was made for the summer months.
14. Dress It Up or Down: Some of the best pieces you can add to your closet end up being the most versatile ones. Take this floral wrap dress — pair it with heels and you have a fancy fit, or wear it with sneakers to make your overall look more casual.
15. Vacation Ready: A beach dress that flatters your figure? We’ve got you covered with this boho-inspired design.
Until fairly recently, the flow of content between Hulu and Disney+ only went in one direction. The latter got to play with all of Disney’s biggest brands while Hulu’s superior lineup of films and TV shows was used to shore up Disney+’s shortcomings.
Now, Disney seems much more willing to give Hulu subscribers a taste of what they’re missing on Disney+ with a handful of Star Wars movies as well as a few Marvel TV shows.
This month, Daredevil and The Punisher are streaming on Hulu, which is ironic since both were Netflix original series produced by Marvel Television nearly a decade ago. Both of those series are worth catching for superhero fans who want more mature storylines, but the one Hulu show you have to watch in May 2025 is The Defenders.
The Defenders was the culmination of Marvel Television’s attempt to bring four different TV superheroes into a single miniseries. Think of it as The Avengers on a much smaller scale. It’s not the best show that Marvel has ever produced, but there are definitely things it does very well.
The Team-Up Feels Like a Genuine Event
If you’re expecting The Defenders to match the scale of Marvel’s Avengers movies, then you’re bound to be disappointed. It’s got a lot lower budget than the big Marvel movies. What it does have is TV-MA action that borders on R-rated, and it’s really enjoyable to see Matt Murdock/Daredevil banter with Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter). Jessica always seems to know the most cutting line to say while she’s around Matt.
Similarly, the live-action pairing of Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Danny Rand/Iron Fist (Finn Jones) felt very natural. In the comics, Cage and Rand had a long partnership, but they’re initially strangers to each other in this story. Jones’ performance as Danny was widely panned in the first season of Iron Fist. But in this series, Jones seemed more relaxed and in command of his character. There were some shaky moments with Iron Fist’s decisions late in the season, but it was still an improvement.
After establishing those two separate pairings, the show finally brings the four of them together for the final stretch of the season. They may not be Earth’s mightiest heroes, but they’re an entertaining group.
‘The Defenders’ Blends the Casts of Four Different TV Series
This wasn’t simply a show for the four main heroes. Almost all of the important supporting cast members from their respective shows also had roles in this crossover. Rosario Dawson‘s Claire Temple was the natural choice to appear, since she had previous interactions with all four of the main characters.
Iron Fist‘s Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick) and Luke Cage‘s Misty Knight (Simone Missick) had a longtime partnership in the comics that was given a nod on this show. Marvel did reunite them in Luke Cage season 3, but this miniseries had some of their best interactions. Jessica Jones‘ Rachael Taylor and Eka Darville and Daredevil‘s Elden Henson and Deborah Ann Woll weren’t as prominently featured, but they also took part in this miniseries. That made The Defenders feel like a true continuation of all four shows.
Sigourney Weaver Embraces Her Villain Era
In the ’80s and ’90s, Sigourney Weaver‘s Ellen Ripley was practically a superhero in the Alien movies. But in The Defenders, Weaver seemed to relish the chance to play Alexandra, one of the main villains. On the face of it, having a 68-year-old Caucasian actress play the leader of The Hand — a Japanese ninja clan and a death cult — didn’t make a lot of sense. Weaver was probably cast in the role for her star power, and she chews the scenery like a great villain should. The show presents Alexandra and her fellow five fingers of The Hand as functionally immortal, but also facing their own potential deaths if they don’t move forward with their plans for New York City.
That brings us to Élodie Yung‘s Elektra, the former lover of Matt Murdock and a key figure in Daredevil’s backstory. Alexandra resurrected Elektra to be her weapon in this show, but Elektra ultimately had other ideas and went down a darker path. Yung has since headlined four seasons of The Cleaning Lady on Fox, and she may not be reprising her role as Elektra anytime soon. Thankfully, she’s very good in the short time she played the character, and she was also a believable physical foil for the Defenders.
It Inadvertently Sets Up ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 2
This wasn’t planned back in 2017, but The Defenders is now in the odd position of foreshadowing the return of Jessica Jones to the MCU. It was recently announced that Ritter will reprise her role in Daredevil: Born Again for the first time since Jessica Jones ended in 2019. Ritter’s return had been rumored for years, but not confirmed until earlier this month. That almost certainly means Jessica will reunite with Matt at some point during the season and resume their somewhat contentious relationship.
Given the way that Born Again season 1 ended with Matt recruiting allies to help him take down NYC Mayor Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio), getting the Defenders back together was the natural way to go. For now, there’s no word about whether Colter or Jones will also reprise their roles as Luke Cage and Iron Fist when Daredevil: Born Again premieres in 2026. But fans will likely welcome them back if they are.
From fantasies to crime thrillers and medical procedurals, HBO and Max has every sub-genre of drama you could imagine. If you’re not sure where to begin when diving into their massive library of content, Watch With Us has you covered with the 7 best drama shows you must watch on HBO and Max this May.
See how talented actors like Idris Elba got their start, or watch veterans like Noah Wyle return to the small screen. All of these drama series are exciting, engaging and gripping shows that will keep you coming back for more.
The Pitt is HBO's first medical procedural that's already one of the breakout TV hits of 2025. ER alum Noah Wyle returns to the onscreen hospital in this pulse-pounding drama, which mimics 24 with its storytelling style. Each episode coincides with one hour out of a 15-hour shift in the emergency room at Pittsburgh Trauma Hospital, meaning that literally every second counts.
The Pitt also stands out for its medical accuracy, which real ER doctors have praised, and for the powerful performances from Wyle (who plays Dr. Michael "Robby" Robinavitch, a wonderfully flawed and vulnerable character) and the rest of the cast. This series, which was renewed for a second season almost immediately after it began airing, is perfect for fans of Grey's Anatomy who wish for a little less soap and a little more grit.
The Last of Us is a sci-fi show based on a video game, but don't let that description mislead you. It's a far cry from Super Mario or Call of Duty. Instead, it's an intensely emotional, gripping drama about a broken man named Joel (Pedro Pascal) and an unusual girl named Ellie (Bella Ramsey) who venture across the country in hopes of helping to cure the terrifying mushroom parasite that has turned millions of people into vicious "infected." While Joel and Ellie both have walls up, they form a father-daughter bond on their journey that comes at a terrifying cost.
Season 2 of the critically acclaimed series is out now, and it's just as shocking, innovative and entertaining as season 1. With mind-blowing special effects and gut-wrenching performances, The Last of Us redefines what we expect from genre storytelling.
When you watch the first episode of The Sopranos, it's easy to see how the mafia drama blew people's minds and changed television forever. The story of mob boss Tony Soprano (James Gandolfini) made people understand that television can be an art form on the same level of feature films with its emotional complexity, gripping storylines and nuanced performances.
As Tony begins attending therapy with Dr. Jennifer Melfi (Lorraine Bracco) to try and stop his panic attacks and anxiety, his self-analysis leads the story into themes of identity, legacy, and morality. Created by David Chase, the series is not only a deep exploration of a mobster's psyche but also a dissection of American family dynamics and the existential struggles faced by its characters.
The series boasts a talented ensemble cast that brings the world of New Jersey crime to life. Edie Falco is a force to be reckoned with as Carmela Soprano, Tony's strong-willed and complicated wife; Michael Imperioli bristles with chaotic energy as Christopher Moltisanti, Tony's impulsive protégé; and Dominic Chianese is intimidating as Corrado "Junior" Soprano, Tony's uncle and a rival within the family business. The Sopranos has left an indelible impact on the landscape of modern television, setting a benchmark for character-driven narratives in the crime genre.
When Logan Roy (Brian Cox), the CEO of a major media conglomerate, suffers a major health scare, his four children and several of his employees begin scrambling for the title of CEO. Unfortunately for them, the Roy siblings, as Logan eventually says, are "not serious people," having all been alternately spoiled, coddled and abused by their wealthy family. Connor (Alan Ruck) Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Siobhan (Sarah Snook) and Roman (Kieran Culkin) will constantly shock you with their ability to backstab and lie, even to themselves.
Yet despite the high-stakes drama, the writing on Succession is some of the most darkly funny material you'll ever hear. Siobhan's husband Tom (Matthew Macfadyen) and the ever-scheming Cousin Greg (Nicholas Braun) are as slimy as they are duplicitous. It's endlessly entertaining to watch these maladapted children squabble over billions, with little thought to the real-world consequences of their behavior.
Succession took home multiple Emmys during its run and with good reason. The twists are thrilling, the performances are great and the insights into the lives of the privileged class are perceptive and shocking.
Damon Lindelof (Lost, The Leftovers) oversaw this sequel/redo of the 1986 comic book series of the same name by Alan Moore. But if you never read that series, don't worry — the show does a good job filling in the gaps, and a quick glance at the Wikipedia page for the original Watchmen will answer any questions you may have.
Regina King stars as Angela Abar, a police officer in a world where law enforcement takes on costumed identities to avoid being targeted by terrorist groups. Angela fights crime in Tulsa, Oklahoma, under the name "Sister Night," but when her boss Judd Crawford (Don Johnson) is murdered, she begins to uncover a conspiracy around crimefighting that reaches far back into history — starting with the Tulsa Race Massacre of 1921.
Watchmen won eleven Emmys for its one and only season (so far). Between the compelling performances, stellar writing and shocking twists, it deserved every one of them.
Game of Thrones bears the unfortunate legacy of having an ending that almost nobody liked. And even a few years after the 2019 finale, it's still easy to see that showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss kind of bungled it. But in the early seasons, it was one of the most exciting, well-written and moving shows on television, and the awe-inspiring moments are worth the so-so ending. Based on George R.R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire novels, Game of Thrones tells the story of Westeros, a magical land where seasons can last decades and dragons once roamed the earth.
Leading the cast are Sean Bean as the honorable Eddard "Ned" Stark, Peter Dinklage as the cunning and sharp-witted Tyrion Lannister, and Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen, whose journey from exile to power is central to the series. Other notable cast members include Kit Harington as Jon Snow, Lena Headey as the ambitious Cersei Lannister, Sophie Turner as Sansa Stark, and Maisie Williams as Arya Stark. The intricate plot spotlights more characters and storylines than we can name, but they all have themes of loyalty, betrayal, revenge and family.
David Simon's critically acclaimed Baltimore crime drama series dives deep into the different facets of the city's ecosystem with a complex narrative that tackles the intricate relationship between institutions and individuals. The show was lauded for its focus on the operational challenges faced by working-class citizens as well as police officers and drug dealers.
The Wire launched the careers of many talented actors, most notably Dominic West as Detective Jimmy McNulty and Idris Elba as Stringer Bell. The stories of these complex characters infuse social commentary into gripping storytelling with authenticity and depth, provoking nuanced conversations about the issues that plague urban society. It's a must-watch for drama fans, especially those who appreciate gritty, grounded series.
Netflix‘s Nonnas, starring Vince Vaughn, is currently one of the most popular movies on the streamer right now.
The sweet film is a tribute to the way human beings express love through food and how fine cooking can be an art form.
If you love detailed tributes to deliciousness and close-ups on culinary confections, Watch With Us has recommendations for you.
These five movies and shows, from Ratatouille to The Bear, are incredible examples of the art of “food on film,” in addition to being entertaining stories with wonderful casts.
Jon Favreau and John Leguizamo star in this charming road trip movie about Carl Casper (Favreau), a chef who has grown frustrated and creatively stifled. He's also grown disconnected from his son Percy (Emjay Anthony) and his ex-wife, Inez (Sofia Vergara). When he's let go from his restaurant job, he starts a food truck with his friend Martin (Leguizamo) and Percy. Together, they drive across the country, incorporating local ingredients into their delicious sandwiches. Thanks to Percy's tech savviness, they become a social media phenomenon, and father and son grow closer than ever.
Chef is a feel-good comedy with an earnest love of food that will bring a smile to your face. The sweet story combined with the delicious dishes will leave you hungry for more.
Across oceans, years and cultures, food connects us. In From Scratch, it's what helps the love between artist Amy (Zoe Saldaña) and chef Lino (Eugenio Mastrandrea) survive family drama, illness and more of life's ups and downs. The first episode of this limited series, which is based on Tembi Locke's memoir of the same name, features a particularly sensuous montage at Lino's restaurant when he serves food to Amy and her friends.
Throughout the couple's many hardships, food is a constant source of both comfort and passion. The cinematography in this stunningly beautiful series captures the magic of Italian cuisine, Texan barbecue and everything in between. It's a tearjerker, but the whole series is also mouth-wateringly satisfying.
Liz (Julia Roberts) takes a culinary trip around the world in this romantic dramedy, an adaptation of Elizabeth Gilbert's memoir of the same name. Whether you dream of pasta, pizza, curry or naan, you can salivate over any of them in this film, which follows Liz from Italy to India to Bali on a journey of self-discovery following a difficult divorce.
The film's cinematography captures the essence of her delicious meals in such detail that audiences can almost taste them themselves, which plays a significant role in communicating Liz's rediscovered love for life's simple pleasures. She also delivers a moving monologue about refusing to let an obsession with calories keep her from enjoying incredible food. Directed by Ryan Murphy, Eat, Pray, Love skillfully combines lush visual storytelling with an exploration of themes such as self-discovery, spirituality, and the pursuit of happiness.
This Emmy-winning FX and Hulu series is a runaway hit for its depiction of the chaotic energy of a real gourmet kitchen. Carmy Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White) is a Michelin Star-winning chef who returns to his hometown of Chicago and transforms his brother's beloved but decrepit sandwich shop into a fine dining establishment. Real-life chef Courtney Storer creates the incredible dishes on this show, which all look so delicious you can almost smell them through your screen. In addition to its stellar cast, which features Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bacharach and Abby Elliot (among others), The Bear also shines a spotlight on real chefs like Matty Matheson, Christina Tosi, Christopher Zucchero and more.
The culinary artistry showcased in The Bear is a visual feast, elevating the series beyond traditional kitchen drama. It's a tribute to the craft of cooking, in all its beauty and its ugliness. Should you watch it? "Yes, Chef!"
If you've ever wished you were a better chef but felt too intimidated to step into the kitchen, think back to Ratatouille's theme: "Anyone can cook." Remy (Patton Oswalt), a rat, has a passion for flavor that emanates from the screen in this heartwarming animated movie. When he befriends Linguini (Lou Romano), a food-lover who lacks much in the way of cooking skill, the duo team up to form an unstoppable (albeit unconventional) culinary team.
Ratatouille captures the essence and artistry, beautifully depicting food and the passion of the people who make it. From the sizzle of fresh vegetables to the aromatic wafts of prepared dishes, every scene is a testament to the film’s love for the culinary arts. Characters are seen treating ingredients with reverence, showcasing not just the technical skills required to prepare exquisite meals but also the creativity and love that go into creating extraordinary cuisine. No matter where you come from, Ratatouille seems to say, the culinary arts belong to you, too.
Comedy movies and war films aren’t the easiest genres to combine in a single project.
There are a handful of war comedies, but not as many as you may think. Satirical war films are difficult to make, and sometimes, given the subject matter, they’re also difficult to laugh at.
The Watch With Us team’s picks for the three must-watch comedy movies to stream on Memorial Day weekend include two rare films that successfully combined armed conflict and hilarious situations.
However, the final selection only has a slight connection to war. But if you love broad comedy, you’ll be laughing too much to care about that.
It’s hard to go wrong with two out of the four original Ghostbusters appearing alongside fellow comedy legends John Candy and John Larroquette. Ghostbusters director Ivan Reitman helmed Stripes and cast Bill Murray as John Winger, a down-on-his-luck slacker who impulsively joins the army. He also talks his best friend, Russell Ziskey (Harold Ramis), into enlisting with him.
However, Winger has a severe personality clash with his drill sergeant, Sergeant Hulka (Warren Oates), and figures out too late that army life isn’t a good fit for him. He and Ziskey also find time to romance Louise Cooper (Sean Young) and Stella Hansen (P. J. Soles), a pair of military police women. Winger’s antics may be hilarious for audiences, but they get him and Ziskey in a lot of trouble. And they can only stay in training for so long before being sent on an actual military assignment.
War Machine is a satire that’s loosely based on events that actually happened during the war in Afghanistan during the term of President Barack Obama (Reggie Brown). Brad Pitt stars as General Glen McMahon, a man who has been given broad leeway to come up with a plan to end the war, as long as it doesn’t include a request for more troops.
Journalist Sean Cullen (Scoot McNairy) gets a first-hand look at McMahon’s contempt for civilian authority and his conclusion that there is no way to win without a troop surge. McMahon’s efforts to change the armed forces’ strategy are thwarted more than once, and it’s darkly comical that he can’t seem to fully comprehend that the people of Afghanistan have long since tired of having the U.S. troops around.
Top Secret! isn’t really a war movie, but it is a very funny spy comedy that parodies everything from Elvis Presley movies to World War II flicks. The Naked Gun directors Jim Abrahams, David Zucker and Jerry Zucker gave Val Kilmer his first leading role as Nick Rivers, a rock star who doubles as a spy for the U.S. government.
Nick’s cover as a musician gets him undercover inside East Germany as a performer. But his actual mission is to foil a reunification plot by General Streck (Jeremy Kemp) that will bring West Germany under the control of the communist-led East German government. Things get very silly as Nick attempts to carry out his orders, and this is a true comedy classic.

There’s only one episode remaining in The Last of Us season 2, but the finale is far from the end of the story.
However, The Last of Us season 2, episode 6 may be the final time that Pedro Pascal appears as Joel. Following Joel’s death at the hands of Abby (Kaitlyn Dever) earlier this season, Pascal has been kept off-screen. Fortunately, episode 6’s extended flashbacks gave the audience some closure for Joel’s time on the show.
Ellie (Bella Ramsey), on the other hand, won’t be satisfied until she’s tracked down Abby and made her pay for Joel’s demise. She can’t be at peace until that happens.
To get everyone ready for the last episode of the season, Watch With Us has put together this guide to everything you need to know about The Last of Us season 2 finale.
Yes. Max may not offer free trials of its own, but it does have a deal in place with DoorDash that can be very enticing. DoorDash offers free access to Max with ads for anyone who signs up for its annual DashPass membership. But if you want Max’s ad-free tier, DoorDash charges an additional fee.
What Happened in ‘The Last of Us’ Season 2, Episode 6?
Almost the entire episode took place in the past. The first flashback introduced Better Call Saul‘s Tony Dalton as Javier Miller, the father of Joel and Tommy. Joel put himself between his father’s abusive rage and his younger brother, and he was rewarded for his bravery with a heart-to-heart conversation. Javier also expressed his hope that Joel will do better with his own children than he did with his.
To a certain extent, Joel did. The rest of the episode touches on Joel’s life with Ellie in Jackson, including the time he gave her a hand-crafted guitar for her birthday. However, the emotional distance between Joel and Ellie grew larger over the years, especially when she declared her intent to move out of his house. On Ellie’s 19th birthday, she and Joel went out on patrol and encountered Eugene (Joe Pantoliano) after he had been infected. Eugene begged Joel to let him see his wife, Gail (Catherine O’Hara), one last time. Ellie made Joel agree to that, but she was angered when Joel executed Eugene anyway. That’s why she exposed his lies to Gail.
In the final flashback, Ellie confronted Joel after the New Year’s Eve party and demanded the truth about what happened with the Fireflies. Joel admitted that he executed all of them rather than let Ellie be euthanized in the name of finding a cure. Ellie was angered because she felt that was worth dying for, but she told Joel that she wanted to try to forgive him. In turn, Joel told Ellie that he hopes she does better with her children.
What’s Going to Happen in ‘The Last of Us’ Season 2, Episode 7?
Expect to see a major turning point for Ellie’s story, since this episode will be the last for at least a year or two. It will be interesting to see if The Last of Us leans into a cliffhanger ending or if the conclusion to season 2 will be left more open-ended.
Is There a Trailer for ‘The Last of Us’ Season 2, Episode 7?
Yes, and it looks like Ellie and her girlfriend, Dina, will be reunited at least one more time this season. Dina’s ex, Jesse, appears and makes a very good point about the war for Seattle that they’ve inadvertently stepped into. It’s not their fight, but they may not get a choice in the matter if he tries to leave with Dina.
As for Ellie, she’s already made her decision. She’s going to find Abby or die trying.
How Many Episodes Are There in ‘The Last of Us’ Season 2?
There are seven episodes in The Last of Us season 2.
Who’s Joined the Cast of ‘The Last of Us’ Season 2?
In addition to Dever as Abby, Merced as Dina and Wright as Isaac Dixon, Young Mazino also joined the cast as Dina’s ex, Jesse.
Catherine O’Hara plays Gail, who was Joel’s therapist in Jackson before he passed away. While Gail’s husband, Eugene, was only briefly seen in the game, Joe Pantoliano portrayed that character on the show. Gabriel Luna is reprising his season 1 role as Joel’s younger brother, Tommy.
Rosie O’Donnell surprised fans in May 2025 by revealing a positive update on her weight loss journey — which she credited to using the medication Mounjaro.
The injectable drug (also known as tirzepatide) is similar to Ozempic and Wegovy in that it is used primarily to treat diabetes, but can also be effective in weight loss. According to WebMD, Mounjaro can be classified similarly to Wegovy or Ozempic because all three all contain GLP-1, which assists in weight loss. Side effects can include nausea and diarrhea.
In O’Donnell’s case, she said that she started using Mounjaro to treat her diabetes and her weight loss came as a bonus. Other celebrities have also opened up about losing weight while using Mounjaro — including Mob Wives star Renee Graziano, The View’s Whoopi Goldberg, and Amy Schumer.
Keep scrolling for a look at some of the celebrities who have spoken publicly about using Mounjaro for weight loss:
The former Rosie O’Donnell Show host proudly showed off her recent weight loss via Instagram in May 2025 and directly attributed her positive health news to using the weight loss medication.
In a message captioned with the hashtag “Mounjaro,” she wrote, “I cant believe this is me now.”
O’Donnell first announced to her TikTok followers in March 2025 that she was having success with the medication after her recent move from the U.S. to Ireland.
“I’ve lost more weight,” she announced. “I am on Mounjaro for my diabetes and one of the side effects is you lose weight. But it’s also because I had a chef for over two years in Los Angeles and I don’t have a chef now. It’s me cooking for [my child] Clay and me.”
She went on, “I’m one of those people who always had a weight issue and now that I’m a size large — instead of an XL or a XXL — I find it shocking. I really do. I find it completely shocking.”
Whoopi Goldberg

During a May 2024 appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the View moderator said Mounjaro helped her lose the weight of “almost two people.”
“I’m doing that wonderful little shot that works for folks who need some help and it’s been really good for me,” Goldberg reported to host Kelly Clarkson.
Goldberg reflected on the creeping effect that weight gain can have, saying, “You’re living your life and you’re doing what you need to do — and that’s the last thing you’re thinking about because you’ve got other stuff on your mind. When you realize it, you go, ‘Well, damn.’ And everyone says, ‘Well, I thought you knew.’”
Amy Schumer
The comedian shared with her Instagram followers in March 2024 that she was doing well on Mounjaro after having a less positive experience on Wegovy years earlier.
“Three years ago, I tried Wegovy. I was puking, I couldn’t handle it. I don’t know if they’ve changed the formula, whatever,” she said via Instagram. “But anyway, I went on this Telehealth meeting with [virtual clinic] Midi Health, and it was cheap. I wanted to try it myself ‘cause I wanted to recommend it to my friends who are nurses and teachers.”
Schumer explained that, in addition to her use of the weight loss medication, her clinicians put her on “estrogen and progesterone” because she was perimenopausal.
“My hair is fuller, my skin is better, I have more energy, I want to get down more, if you know what I mean. I’m talking about sex,” she joked. “So that’s been great and Mounjaro’s been great.”
She also noted, “And, look, it’s not covered by insurance unless you have diabetes or like severe obesity, which most of the internet thinks I have. But I’m having a really good experience with it and I wanted to keep it real with you about that.”
Meghan Trainor and Daryl Sabara

The “Woman Up” singer revealed on her “Workin’ On It” podcast in April 2025 that both she and husband Sabara started taking Mounjaro after welcoming son Riley in 2021. Trainor said that they went with Mounjaro over other weight-loss medications because they were told it “had less side effects”.
“I also gained some [sympathy] pregnancy weight,” Sabara explained. “We’ve been on this journey for a while and we learned how there are right ways to do it.”
Trainor insisted she felt “no shame” about using weight-loss injections, though she stressed that the couple simultaneously focused on portion control.
“I’ve learned so much about portions,” Trainor noted. “I’m like, ‘Remember how big your stomach is.’ I don’t want to bug [Sabara] and I always do. He’s like, ‘Are you fat-shaming me?’ I’m like, ‘No, babe, I’m looking out for you.’ Our eyes are hungrier than our stomachs. I blame where we live [because] the portion sizes are ridiculous.”
She added, “I learned all these little tricks that changed my life. I literally bought smaller plates ‘cause I’m like, ‘No, you can’t put too much rice on there.’ … I’m obsessed now with the science of when I work out and build muscle, you have to eat protein or else it’s not going to do anything.”
Scott Disick
In February 2025, Disick candidly discussed his weight loss, and his use of Mounjaro, during an episode of The Kardashians. Khloé Kardashian asked Disick directly to clear up rumors after fans questioned whether there was a weight loss drug in his fridge during one scene.
“It shows the Mounjaro? You’re lying!” he declared. “Oh, f*** me running. By the way, I am not embarrassed that I took it! Everyone that has a problem with Mounjaro can suck my d***. And by the way, they can see it now because for a minute, you couldn’t!”
Disick explained that it was “tough living that large,” with Kardashian soon coming to his defense over using a weight loss medication.
“You shouldn’t be [embarrassed]! When I was fat, I would have drank that s***,” she said. “I don’t get the shame in it. You don’t get it because you don’t have these problems but when I was thicker, I took laxatives. I would take anything that anyone was pushing.”
Renee Graziano

The former VH1 reality star credited her 52-pound weight loss, in part, to using Mounjaro after years of struggling with dieting. She mentioned that she’d also started using the “right supplements,” in addition to “doing all the work behind [her] insecurity.”
“I’ve battled self-criticism in the past! Ripped myself down to the ground!!” Graziano recalled in May 2025. “I truly was so sick and tired of my life and my inability to lose weight so I thought I’d eat until I felt better THAT NEVER HAPPENED, I felt like I was constantly falling short—of how I ‘should’ look, feel, and keep up with what society tells us is acceptable.”
She continued, “That’s why, when I see photos that show the real, visible change, my clear eyes and genuine smile, I have to share. I want everyone to know if I can do it, you can do it! It’s all possible!!”
Hailey Bieber shared her support for her husband Justin Bieber’s return to live music on Friday, May 23.
Hailey, 28, was in attendance when Justin, 28, made an unannounced appearance during Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s Grand National Tour concert at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Justin joined SZA to perform their hit “Snooze” — and even planted a few kisses on her hand during the performance.
Hailey shared multiple videos from the concert via her Instagram Story, including three separate angles of Justin kissing SZA’s hand. She captioned the photo with an emoji of a face holding back tears and another emoji of a smiling face with hearts.
In another video of the performance, Hailey called Justin and SZA her “two favorite artists.” There have been multiple special guests during the Grand National Tour since it kicked off on April 19, including Lizzo joining SZA on stage the night before Justin’s cameo.

Friday’s appearance at SoFi Stadium marked the first time Justin has played live since a private concert at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, India in July 2024.
“Hailey tries to be there for him as much as she can,” an insider told Us. “She is very patient and accommodating and helps him a lot. She is the most supportive wife, and he feels grateful to have her. They have been through a lot, but have been in a good place these last few months.”
A second source close to the Biebers said, “Hailey is a positive, good influence on Justin. She’s been a saving grace for him.”
Hailey opened up to Vogue earlier this month about her “very difficult” postpartum journey, which she insisted was exacerbated by intense speculation about her marriage.
“Being postpartum is the most sensitive time I’ve ever gone through in my life, and learning a new version of myself is very difficult,” she said. “And to be doing that all the while going on the internet every day and people being like, ‘They’re getting divorced and they’re this and they’re not happy’: It is such a mindf***. I cannot even begin to explain it. It’s a crazy life to live.”
Hailey credited Justin’s 15 years in the spotlight with helping her deal with the intense “scrutiny” that they both routinely face.
“I’ve learned so much from Justin, really,” she told Vogue. “He’s been doing this literally since he was a child and he has had to face the most scrutiny of any person that I know. He was like, ‘Baby, trust me, I’ve been here before many, many times. You’re not going to win. There is no winning.’”
The couple started dating in 2015, before getting engaged and later tying the knot at a New York City courthouse in 2018. The couple held a wedding reception for family and friends in South Carolina the following year.
“We love you and we got you, Pop! I just wanted to thank you all for the beautiful outpouring of love and support amid the recent news of My Father’s health diagnosis,” Alexa Ray, 39, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, May 24. “My Dad is the strongest and most resilient man I’ve ever known… and he’s entirely committed to making a full recovery with ongoing physical-therapy treatments as he continues to regain his strength.”
Alexa Ray quoted her father’s classic 1993 song “Lullabye (Goodnight, My Angel)” while thanking his fans from all over the world for their supportive social media messages.
“The genuine care, empathy, and concern from everyone means so much to him… it means a lot to me, too,” she concluded. “‘Someday We’ll All Be Gone / But Lullabies Go On And On / They Never Die / That’s How You And I Will Be.’ The music continues… ”
The “Piano Man” singer, 76, announced via Instagram on Friday, May 23, that he was cancelling “all scheduled concerts” due to being diagnosed with normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH).
NPH is a “brain disorder in which excess cerebrospinal fluid accumulates in the brain’s ventricles, which are fluid-filled chambers,” according to the Alzheimer’s Association. “As brain ventricles enlarge with the excess CSF, they can disrupt and damage nearby brain tissue, leading to difficulty walking, problems with thinking and reasoning, and loss of bladder control.”
Billy’s team explained via Instagram that NPH has caused “problems with hearing, vision, and balance,” which impacted other recent live performances. His doctors have now recommended that Billy stop performing while he undergoes “specific physical therapy.” (Joel last performed at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut in February.)

“He is grateful for the support from fans during this time and looks forward to the day when he can once again take to the stage,” his representatives said.
Billy added in his own statement, “I’m sincerely sorry to disappoint our audience. Thank you for understanding.”
In total, Billy cancelled 17 concerts that were supposed to take place in both the U.S. and England throughout the rest of the year. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee previously postponed multiple summer stadium concerts in March. At the time, Billy’s team simply said he was dealing with a “medical condition” and that “health must come first,” but stressed that the musician was “expected to make a full recovery.”
“I look forward to getting back on stage and sharing the joy of live music with our amazing fans. Thank you for your understanding.,” the musician said in March.
Last summer, Billy ended his historic run of headlining Madison Square Garden in New York City with his 150th lifetime performance at the venue. He performed his final residency show at Madison Square Garden on July 25, 2024, where he was joined on stage by Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose.
“Everybody in the world knows when you play The Garden, it’s not just New York,” Billy said at the time. “To our audience, I want to thank them for coming to our shows for this long. It’s hard to end, even at 150 lifetime shows. I just want to thank everyone for the wonderful thing that’s happened here.”
The former Rosie O’Donnell Show host, 63, shared a new photo via Instagram on Saturday, May 24, in which she credited the weight loss medication Mounjaro for her new look.
“I cant believe this is me now,” O’Donnell wrote, along with hashtagging the photo with “mounjaro,” “weightloss” and “bodydismorphia.”
Mounjaro is an injectable medication that is used to treat type 2 diabetes and has shown effectiveness in weight loss.
O’Donnell first shared with her social media followers in March that she was taking Mounjaro as part of her diabetes treatment.
“I’ve lost more weight. I am on Mounjaro for my diabetes and one of the side effects is you lose weight,” she said. “But it’s also because I had a chef for over two years in Los Angeles and I don’t have a chef now. It’s me cooking for Clay and me.”
She continued, “I’m one of those people who always had a weight issue and now that I’m a size large — instead of an XL or a XXL — I find it shocking. I really do. I find it completely shocking.”
Mob Wives star Renee Graziano recently revealed a 52-pound weight loss that she credited, in part, to using Mounjaro. She added that “right supplements” and “doing all the work behind [her] insecurity” were also responsible for her fitness journey.
“I’ve battled self-criticism in the past! Ripped myself down to the ground!!” Graziano, 57, wrote via Instagram. “I truly was so sick and tired of my life and my inability to lose weight so I thought I’d eat until I felt better THAT NEVER HAPPENED, I felt like I was constantly falling short—of how I ‘should’ look, feel, and keep up with what society tells us is acceptable.”
Graziano went on, “That’s why, when I see photos that show the real, visible change, my clear eyes and genuine smile, I have to share. I want everyone to know if I can do it, you can do it! It’s all possible!!”
Amy Schumer has praised Mounjaro as well, revealing she adjusted more easily to the injectable medication than its competitor medication Wegovy. (According to WebMD, Mounjaro is classified similarly to other drugs such as Wegovy or Ozempic because they all contain GLP-1, which assists in weight loss. Mounjaro is designed to help diabetes patients with weight management, with common side effects including nausea and diarrhea.)
“Three years ago, I tried Wegovy,” Schumer, 43, said in an Instagram video in March. “I was puking, I couldn’t handle it. I don’t know if they’ve changed the formula, whatever. But anyway, I went on this Telehealth meeting with [virtual care clinic] Midi Health, and it was cheap. I wanted to try it myself ‘cause I wanted to recommend it to my friends who are nurses and teachers.”
She added, “They put me on estrogen and progesterone because I realized I was in perimenopause and my symptoms from being perimenopause have disappeared. My hair is fuller, my skin is better, I have more energy, I want to get down more, if you know what I mean. I’m talking about sex. So that’s been great and Mounjaro’s been great.”
Meanwhile, O’Donnell moved from the U.S. to Ireland with her 12-year-old child, Clay, in January. The actress exclusively told Us Weekly in April that the pair were now settled in Dublin.
“There’s a great, great school there. And Clay has done very well. And they were really welcoming,” O’Donnell told Us. “And I love the little town, the little village. It’s in the heart of Dublin, but it’s still a village where you know the name of the grocer and you know the name of the cashiers. People are unbearably kind in a way that shocks me every single day.”

O’Donnell admitted to Us that she was surprised to see Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi leave the U.S. as well, to resettle in the English countryside.
“I’ve never really known Ellen to say anything political in her life, so I was surprised to read that she left because of President Trump. Like, that shocked me, actually,” O’Donnell told Us. “I’ve been a political person my whole life, not better or worse, it’s just a different way to be in the world. I was very clear about the reason why I was leaving, and I don’t think it came as a surprise to anyone. We’re not really in each other’s worlds, and it’s been kind of awkward but you know what? I wish her the best. I wish that she has peace and love in her life and that she is OK.”
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ Memorial Day Weekend menu and activities schedule in jail have reportedly been revealed.
Diddy, 55, and the inmates of Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center will be able to dine on festive treats and play basketball during the holiday weekend, according to TMZ.
The website reports that the menu for this weekend includes a selection of fruit and cereal for breakfast, while inmates can choose between barbecued chicken, macaroni and cheese, mixed vegetables and a mysterious “holiday dessert” for lunch. At dinnertime, Diddy can indulge in chicken and rice — or tofu if he prefers— as well as pinto beans, canned corn and whole wheat bread.
When the MDC inmates aren’t busy dining, there is reportedly a set of activities they will be able to enjoy. The detention center allows inmates to play a selection of board games, dominoes or spades, or if they’d prefer to be a bit more physically active, they can take part in three-on-three basketball games.
Since his arrest in September 2024, Diddy has been held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. His four requests for bail were denied by Judge Arun Subramanian.
Diddy was arrested in September 2024 and charged with sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution. He pleaded not guilty to all charges and has denied all of the allegations against him.
“We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office,” Diddy’s attorney Marc Agnifilo said in a statement at the time. “He is an imperfect person, but he is not a criminal. To his credit Mr. Combs has been nothing but cooperative with this investigation and he voluntarily relocated to New York last week in anticipation of these charges. Please reserve your judgment until you have all the facts. These are the acts of an innocent man with nothing to hide, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court.”

The trial began in Manhattan federal court on May 12 and made headlines with explosive testimony from Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Cassie. During four days of intense testimony, Cassie (real name Casandra Ventura) alleged that she endured physical, emotional and sexual abuse during her on-off 11-year relationship with the embattled mogul.
The second week of the trial included other major bombshells, including Cassie’s ex-boyfriend Kid Cudi comparing Diddy’s behavior to “a Marvel supervillain” during an alleged confrontation between the two men at Soho House in Los Angeles. Cassie’s mother, Regina Ventura, testified on Tuesday, May 20, she took out a $20,000 home equity loan in order to satisfy an alleged blackmail demand from Diddy. (Diddy has denied all allegations of wrongdoing.)
Because of the Memorial Day holiday, the trial will begin its third week on Tuesday, May 27, where Diddy’s former assistant, Capricorn Clark, is expected on the witness stand.
Away from the courtroom, Diddy’s twin daughters D’Lila and Jessie, 18, graduated from Sierra Canyon High School in California this past week. Videos from their social media show their brother Justin Dior Combs presenting his sisters with diamond necklaces in honor of their special day. (Diddy has seven children — he shared D’Lila and Jessie with late partner Kim Porterand Justin was born during his relationship with fashion designer Misa Hylton.)

Jesse Williams argued in new court documents that he doesn’t need to notify his ex-wife Aryn Drake-Lee about any medical care their two children may obtain.
Under the ruling, Williams is not obligated to notify Drake-Lee about their children’s upcoming medical visits, though he is required to inform his ex-wife once treatments, such as orthodontic visits, have taken place.
Us Weekly confirmed earlier this month that Williams accused Drake-Lee of violating the court’s restrictions by “threatening” their 11-year-old daughter Sadie’s orthodontist. The actor claims his ex promised to file a lawsuit if the doctor “touches the children.”
Us has obtained new court documents filed on Friday, May 23, in which Drake-Lee requests “the immediate disqualification” of Williams’ attorneys on the grounds of “egregious misconduct by counsel that amounts to fraud upon the court, the systemic use of hearsay in place of any admissible or substantiated evidence, and repeated, escalating violations of [Drake-Lee’s] constitutional rights to due process throughout these proceedings.”
Drake-Lee maintained that she was not given the proper chance to respond to Williams’ request for medical custody in court, thus denying her “a meaningful opportunity to be heard and to assert her parental and legal rights.”
Her attorneys are additionally seeking to overturn the court’s April ruling because they say Drake-Lee was not given “adequate notice or time” to address the request.

Williams responded to Drake-Lee’s latest court filings by reasserting that he was given “sole right to obtain orthodontic care for Sadie without notification to Aryn,” but that he would “provide notification” to his ex-wife after any orthodontic or medical care was completed.
“Aryn is seeking an order to disqualify Jesse’s counsel and vacate Court orders apparently based upon what she claims is hearsay evidence. There is no emergency, no irreparable harm, and no immediate danger to justify Aryn’s requests on an ex parte [one party] basis,” his legal team wrote in new court documents, also obtained by Us.
Williams’ lawyers additionally argued: “Aryn is apparently claiming among other things that the Court’s orders were based upon ‘hearsay’ and should therefore be vacated. It is unclear what hearsay evidence, if any, Aryn is referring to. Notwithstanding, there is no irreparable harm, immediate danger, or any other statutory basis to substantiate Aryn’s emergency requests. Aryn does not present any credible evidence to show that the children will suffer irreparable harm and immediate danger if Aryn’s ex parte [single party] requests are not granted.”
The former couple’s next custody hearing was originally set for May 29, but Williams’ lawyer has requested it be delayed until July 10 due to scheduling issues.
Williams and Drake-Lee were married from 2012 to 2017. After their split, the pair engaged in a lengthy divorce and custody battle that was finalized in October 2020.
The actor initially requested to alter their child custody agreement in September 2024 in favor of equal joint physical custody and more frequent visitation periods.
There’s a short but golden window to break out your white wardrobe and that time is now. From Memorial Day through Labor Day (a style rule we loosely follow), white clothing takes center stage. So if you’re thinking about refreshing your closet with versatile white basics, take a page from Summer House star Paige DeSorbo, who recently shared her go-to capris on Amazon Live.
Paige said she practically lives in white once the weather heats up. “Because I live in New York and wear black all winter, I go hard with white in summer,” she explained. Her current favorite? A pair of stretchy, mid-calf capris that she’s been wearing on repeat. “They’re just so easy to throw on with a flat,” she said, noting that while capris aren’t always flattering on everybody, the right fit can shift the look.
The capris she’s talking about are the Ginasy Pull-On Capris from Amazon. Designed with a tummy-control waistband, four-way stretch fabric and functional pockets, they’re the kind of pants you can wear anywhere without missing a beat.
Shoppers seem to be just as sold on them. One reviewer who doesn’t don’t usually write reviews, said they fit like I dream. You can dress them up with heels for work and down with sandals on the weekend. Another was reminded of Sanctuary leggings, but in capri form. “I almost bought a second pair of Sanctuary but now that I have these it won’t be needed.”
Others highlight how flattering they are on different body types. “Icarry a lot of weight on my belly and these guys don’t roll down,” a shopper noted. “[They’re] just like the top end brands at Dillards or Nordstrom for half the price.”
If you’re looking for a reliable white pant that won’t cling, bunch or make you feel like you’re squeezing into summer, trust Us, these capris are it!
The country singer, 63, and actress, 59, walked their first red carpet as a couple while attending the “Orizzonti | Rosso” Exhibition Opening Dinner at the Palazzo Barberini in Rome, Italy, on Saturday, May 24.
Cyrus wore his now-signature locks down and underneath a black hat, along with a matching black shirt, jacket and pants. Hurley stunned in a pink gown featuring a plunging neckline and dramatic cape.
The pair, who announced their relationship via a shared Instagram post on April 20, were joined by Hurley’s son, Damian, who wore a striking red suit with a dramatically unbuttoned black shirt underneath. (Hurley shared the 23-year-old male model and actor with her ex, Steve Bing, who died by suicide in 2020 at age 55.)
On April 24, Cyrus was asked if his surprising relationship with the Austin Powers star was genuine.

“She’s a great human being,” he replied while appearing on Apple Music Country’s The Ty Bentli Show. “If all we were [was] the friends that we are… I would take that. She’s so impressively brilliant.”
A source exclusively told Us Weekly that since debuting their relationship, the pair “are enjoying life together,” adding that they “wanted to make it public” and “have nothing to hide.”
A second insider told Us that the pair had “been dating for about four months” prior to their announcement. (The pair first met on the set of the 2022 holiday film Christmas in Paradise.)
“Liz’s friends have known about it for a while,” another insider added. “It’s not a new thing. She had sworn them to secrecy, and they didn’t tell anyone outside her tight circle.”
A source close to Cyrus also revealed to Us that “they’ve been friends for years, but it turned romantic recently. Things are going well.”
Cyrus revealed how the pair reconnected after previously working together, saying that Hurley reached out to him in 2024 via text.
“Hey, it looks like life might be a little bit tough and just wanted you to know…you got a friend in your corner,” she wrote.
Cyrus is coming off a dramatic split from his ex Firerose. The pair finalized their divorce in August 2024 and have each accused the other of verbal and emotional abuse, which they both deny. Cyrus is also contending with allegedly strained relationships with some of his children, Brandi, Trace, Miley, Braison and Noah, whom he shares with ex-wife Tish Cyrus. (He is also dad to Christopher Cody, who he shares with ex-girlfriend Kristen Luckey.)
A source close to Cyrus told Us that the singer and actress have “both been through a lot in life and have bonded over life experiences,” adding that, “Liz is a very compassionate person, which Billy Ray adores.”
Damian has been supportive of his mother’s new relationship with the country singer, even going so far as to publicly comment on their PDA-filled Instagram posts.
“Everyone is happy Damian loves [Billy Ray],” a source close to Hurley told Us. Another source close to Cyrus told Us that “Damian is really happy to see his mom happy.”
Shopping for jeans can be straight-up exhausting. One pair fits your hips but has gaps at the waist. Another looks good from the front but does nothing for your butt. And comfort? Forget it. Finding a flattering, actually wearable pair starts to feel impossible.
But as someone who shops for a living, I can confirm: it’s not you, it’s the jeans. And more importantly, you need to know where to look. Good American solves the struggle by offering jeans made for real bodies that do what they say they will. Right now, the brand’s Power Stretch Pull-On Flare Jeans are 30% off for Memorial Day, and they’re the kind of flattering pair that’ll make you forget everything you’ve suffered through before.
These aren’t your typical flares. With no buttons, no zippers and no stiff waistband, the Power Stretch Pull-On style is a dream! They feature a high-rise fit, flared legs, tummy-smoothing tech and a gap-proof waistband — all wrapped up in sculpting, curve-hugging stretch denim. It’s the kind of no-fuss, put-on-and-go jeans that make you feel like you have your life together.
One shopper said they waited two years before finally giving these jeans a try and now they’re a customer for life. The fit felt so tailored, that they immediately bought a second pair. Another reviewer mentioned they’ve struggled for years to find a good pair of flares with a long enough inseam and these finally delivered. “I can even wear heels with them,” they wrote. “Plus, the stretchy waistband doesn’t dig in when I’m bloated.”
So if you’re looking for the perfect pair of jean, this might be your moment. Just don’t be surprised if you wear them three days in a row.
Jussie Smollett is maintaining his innocence while settling his civil lawsuit stemming from his alleged 2019 attack hoax.
“Over six years ago, after it was reported I had been jumped, City Officials in Chicago set out to convince the public that I willfully set an assault against myself. This false narrative has left a stain on my character that will not soon disappear,” Smollett, 42, wrote in a statement shared via Instagram on Friday, May 23. “These officials wanted my money and wanted my confession for something I did not do. Today, it should be clear…They have received neither.”
He continued, “The decision to settle the civil lawsuit was not the most difficult one to make. After repeatedly refusing to pay the City, I was presented with an opportunity to make a charitable donation in exchange for the case being dismissed. Despite what happened there politically, Chicago was my home for over 5 years and the people became my family. Therefore, making a donation to benefit Chicago communities that are too often neglected by those in power will always be something I support.”
The Empire star went on to reveal that he had made a $50,000 donation to the Building Brighter Futures Center for the Arts, a foundation that supports underprivileged youth.
“This organization was my choosing and I’m comforted that there will be at least one winner from this experience,” he continued in the statement. Smollett also shared that he donated an additional $10,000 to the Chicago Torture Justice Center “who provides resources to communities healing from the violence of the Chicago Police Department.”
The Chicago Torture Justice Center confirmed the actor’s donation in an Instagram post on Friday.
“This generous donation from Mr. Smollett is so meaningful and deeply impactful as we celebrate and honor the 10th anniversary of the historic Reparations Ordinance in Chicago,” the post read in part. “This 10th anniversary offers us a moment of reflection on what is possible when we stand together and imagine a better future for our communities. A world that values healing and repair, instead of punishment and incarceration.”
The post concluded, “Again, we are so grateful to Mr. Smollett and every donor who supports this necessary work.”
Smollett reported that he had been a victim of an alleged hate crime in January 2019, claiming that two men confronted him with racial and homophobic slurs before wrapping a rope around his neck and pouring bleach on him.
Police and city officials, however, claimed the actor was behind the hoax hate crime, going on to accuse him of submitting a false police report and claiming he knew his attackers, brothers Olabingo and Abimbola Osundairo, who alleged they were paid by Smollett to stage the attack. The city sued the actor for $130,000 related to the police investigation into the alleged attack. Smolett denied the claims and countersued.
Smollett was found guilty on five counts of felony disorderly conduct in December 2021 and sentenced to 150 days in jail and 30 months probation in March 2022. Two years later, in November 2024, the Illinois Supreme Court overturned the conviction, citing prosecutorial issues.
In his Saturday statement, Smollett maintained his innocence, writing that while he “was exonerated by the Illinois Supreme Court in a[n] unanimous decision and the civil case will now be dismissed, I’m aware that it will not change everyone’s mind about me or the attack I experienced.”
“However, despite arduous and expensive attempts to punish me, I am innocent in the eyes of God and our criminal justice system,” the statement continued. “What I have to do now is move forward. I will continue creating my art, fighting passionately for causes I hold dear and defending my integrity and family name with truth.”
He concluded by thanking his supporters over the years, saying that their “prayers and belief in me mean more than words can properly express.”
Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, has no problem flying commercial.
According to a woman by the name of @ninavidavlogs on TikTok, Meghan recently boarded an American Airlines flight she was working on and left the crew a handwritten letter thanking them for their attention and service.
The Duchess is “so beautiful in person,” Nina said in the video, shared on Thursday, May 22. “She was so sweet. She wrote us a little handwritten note back. So we wrote her note that said, ‘It’s a pleasure of serving you. We love you real bad.’”
“And she wrote this note back that says, ‘Dear AA Girlies, thank you for the love, hospitality, and handwritten note. You know me well,’” the woman continued.
She went on to add that the Duchess of Sussex ended her personalized note with the words: “Forever Meghan.”
“You know, I can barely read this cursive, but look at this handwriting: it’s giving rich. It’s giving expensive. It’s giving princess,” she explained. “She also said she loved my nails and the captain on my last flight said they were intense. So, sir, it doesn’t matter what you think. The Queen says she likes them.”
In addition to flying among the common folk, Meghan, 43, has been promoting her “Confessions of a Female Founder” podcast. She was joined on the Tuesday, Mat 20, episode of her the podcast by her former stylist-turned-CEO of hair and beauty brand Kitsch, Cassandra Morales Thurswell. During the episode, the two reminisced about the former actress’ past career.
“I said, ‘Cassie, can you help make this stylish and give me a vibe?’ To which you said, ‘Yes,’” Meghan recalled of her time going to auditions for various roles. Thurswell remembered, “I had no idea what I was doing, but I really enjoyed our time together — it was so fun.”
“This is pre-Suits for me,” Meghan explained. “This is really early days when I was auditioning. And I just remember literally going through things, and you think, ‘OK, here are a couple staples that you need.’ This is important because it speaks to … you talk about not having a strategy, but always hustling. And being able to say, ‘OK, well, I don’t necessarily know how to do this, but I’m gonna figure out a way to be good at it.’”
One of Thurswell’s choices even helped Meghan out. “You called me and said, ‘I just found the best pair of black patent leather Louboutin wedge flats and they are $200,’” Meghan shared. “I remember going, ‘I cannot,’ and you were like, ‘I promise you, you are going to wear them.’ And of course, I wore those shoes until the red wore out. I wore those shoes on my final audition for Suits when I booked the part.”
