Layla Taylor is clearing the air after receiving backlash for facilitating a “pregnancy roulette” game on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
During the second season of the hit Hulu series, which premiered on Thursday, May 15, Taylor Frankie Paul, Whitney Leavitt, Jen Affleck, Demi Engemann, Mikayla Matthews, Mayci Neeley, Jessi Ngatikaura, Miranda McWhorter and Layla played the controversial game during a cast trip. Each person had to take a pregnancy test and the results were revealed anonymously — meaning the women didn’t know whose test they showed to the rest of the group.
Two tests came back positive — Mayci and Mikayla — but the women kept quiet because Demi broke down in tears. Earlier in the season, Demi, 30, revealed she was struggling to get pregnant with husband Bret Engemann.
Demi said on the show that she wasn’t thrilled about unveiling a positive pregnancy test that belonged to one of her costars amid her own fertility journey. The friend group apologized for having Demi play the emotional game, which Layla was asked about in the comments section of a TikTok when the season premiered.
“The pregnancy test roulette tho,” read a response from a viewer. Layla replied, “Wasn’t my idea.”
Before the episodes were released, Demi spoke exclusively to Us Weekly about her fertility, saying, “Even throughout season 1, I was like, ‘Is this for me?’ Even going into filming season 1, it was a big decision. You think that if you were presented with this opportunity, it would just be an easy yes and jump all in. In my stage of life blending a family, trying for another baby and being a busy mom and wife and trying to navigate that — it’s different than being single and then being presented with this opportunity.”

Demi said the “stakes are higher” for her. “You have less time and you’re not only putting yourself out there to be judged — but you are putting your family out there as well,” she added. “It was not a decision that I took lightly or that me and my husband took lightly. So there were definitely moments throughout moments where we were just like, ‘Is this for us?'”
The second season also brought up a rumor that Demi’s husband, Bret, 46, was unfaithful after Mayci received an anonymous message on social media claiming he slept with someone when Demi was out of town.
“The truth always reveals itself. Until there is proof, I don’t give it any credit or any weight. I don’t understand why something that is not true would bother you so deeply,” Demi told Bret on camera, as he replied, “I need to worry less about optics.”
“Are we on the same page here? You have to know deep in your core that I would never do that to you,” Bret said after cameras stopped rolling. “It bothers me. I want to find out who it was. I want to know who said it because I want to go after them. It pisses me off. You know I didn’t do that.”
Demi questioned Bret’s “overexplaining,” saying, “I don’t know what it is with you. Why do we keep talking about it? The way you are reacting is a little bit confusing. If I am guilty, this is how I am acting.”

Ezra Miller continues to come under fire for alleged inappropriate behavior.
The actor began making headlines in 2022 for a string of arrests and criminal charges including disorderly conduct, harassment and felony burglary. The nonbinary We Need to Talk About Kevin actor has also been accused of having an abusive relationship with activist Tokata Iron Eyes that began when she was underage.
“Ezra uses violence, intimidation, threat of violence, fear, paranoia, delusions and drugs to hold sway over a young adolescent Tokota,” paperwork filed by Iron Eyes’ parents in June 2022 read. The Standing Rock Sioux tribal court granted a temporary order of protection against Miller on behalf of the North Dakota native.
The protective order also accuses the Flash star of “physically and emotionally abusing” the “ReZpect our Water” youth leader.
Several months prior to Iron Eyes’ parents taking legal action against Miller, the New Jersey native was arrested in Hawaii in March 2022 and charged with disorderly conduct and harassment. According to a police report obtained by Page Six, the Fantastic Beasts actor was at a karaoke bar when they began “yelling obscenities and became agitated when people began singing karaoke.” After pleading no contest, they were fined $500 for the incident.
Three weeks later, in April, Miller was taken into custody again after allegedly throwing a chair at a woman’s head. According to a media release from the Hawaii Police Department, the incident took place at a get-together at a private residence in Pahoa on the Big Island of Hawaii.
“During the course of their investigation, police determined that the individual, later identified as Ezra Miller, became irate after being asked to leave and reportedly threw a chair, striking a 26-year-old female on the forehead, resulting in an approximate half-inch cut,” the release read. Miller was released from police custody after several hours, pending further investigation.
The Hawaii arrests were not the first instances of the Trainwreck actor behaving erratically in public. According to Kevin Armstrong, an extra on the miniseries The Stand, Miller yelled, spit and interrupted the director while filming the show in late 2019.
“It was disgusting and horribly unprofessional,” Armstrong told Insider in August 2022 of the actor’s behavior, alleging that “people on set were not feeling safe.”
Most recently, the Sons of an Illustrious Father musician has been charged with felony burglary in Stamford, Vermont. According to a Vermont State Police report obtained by Variety, law enforcement officials located Miller on August 7, 2022, and issued them a citation for a May 1, 2022, incident in which several bottles of alcohol were taken from a residence when the homeowners were not present.
Miller addressed their many scandals publicly for the first time at the June 2023 premiere of their solo superhero flick, The Flash. In a video captured by Deadline from inside the premiere screening, they thanked DC Studios’ cochairs Peter Safran and James Gunn “for your grace and discernment and care in the context of my life and in bringing this moment to fruition.”
Scroll through to see Miller’s ups and downs over the years:
Miller starred alongside Logan Lerman and Emma Watson in the 2012 adaptation of Stephen Chbosky’s 1999 novel.
In January 2013, the Metropolitan Opera alum spoke to Collider about working with Chbosky, who also directed the film.
“Stephen is the most generous guy I’ve ever met. He’s an incredible communicator and just one of those people who is endlessly giving, but not to a fault. He can give endlessly, but he’s not a martyr who wears himself out,” they said at the time.
The Californication alum appeared in three Fantastic Beasts films as Credence Barebone / Aurelius Dumbledore, beginning in 2016.
"As a Harry Potter fan, I’m extremely excited because I get how this brand new story ties into the broader wizarding world,” Miller told Bustle of joining the franchise in November 2016.
The general public caught a glimpse of the Stanford Prison Experiment actor’s dark side in April 2020 when footage of an individual resembling Miller choking a woman at a bar in Reykjavik, Iceland, made the rounds on social media.
Variety later confirmed that the actor had been at the bar at the time of the altercation and was escorted off the premises after the fight. Miller has not publicly addressed the alleged incident.
Miller was apprehended by police in Hawaii in March 2022 and then again in April. They were first charged with disorderly conduct and harassment for an incident that occurred at a karaoke bar. The Stand alum pleaded no contest and was fined $500.
The following month, Miller was taken into custody for second-degree assault after allegedly throwing a chair which hit a woman. They were released after several hours, pending further investigation.
In June 2022, Iron Eyes’ parents filed paperwork claiming that Miller had begun grooming the activist when she was underage, alleging that they had given her alcohol and drugs, including LSD and ketamine, and physically abused her. The Standing Rock Sioux tribal court granted a temporary order of protection against Miller on behalf of Iron Eyes.
The North Dakota native defended Miller via Instagram after the order was granted, writing that the actor had “only provided loving support and invaluable protection” as she navigated a challenging time.
That same month, a Massachusetts mother and her 12-year-old were granted a temporary harassment protection order against the actor after they allegedly behaved inappropriately towards the child.
According to NBC News, the court order was “issued without advance notice because the Court determined that there is a substantial likelihood of immediate danger of harassment.”
In August 2022, Miller was located by Vermont State Police and charged with felony burglary for an incident that occurred that May in which several bottles of alcohol were taken from an unoccupied home.
According to a police report, surveillance video of the incident gave law enforcement probable cause to press charges against the actor. They are scheduled to appear in court in September 2022 for arraignment.
Miller broke their silence amid the controversies, telling Variety they were seeking help.
“Having recently gone through a time of intense crisis, I now understand that I am suffering complex mental health issues and have begun ongoing treatment,” Miller said. “I want to apologize to everyone that I have alarmed and upset with my past behavior. I am committed to doing the necessary work to get back to a healthy, safe and productive stage in my life.”
Miller pleaded not guilty to felony burglary charges in Vermont after allegedly taking alcohol from a man’s home. During the hearing, the Flash star’s attorney, Lisa B. Shelkrot, entered not guilty pleas on their behalf to one "felony count of burglary into an occupied dwelling," as well as a second "minor charge of petit larceny," per the Bennington Banner.
The judge ruled that Miller is to stay away from the home's owner, Isaac B. Winokur, and they are not to go onto the property of the house they allegedly burglarized. When asked if they understood the conditions, Miller replied, "I do, your honor."
The Justice League star pleaded guilty to unlawful trespassing in the Vermont burglary case. Miller received one year of probation and a $500 fine. The plea deal also outlined 41 conditions, including no drinking, random drug tests and a commitment to continue seeking mental health treatment, per Variety.
The final trailer for Miller’s The Flash was unveiled the same day the film had its world premiere at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. The superhero movie, in which Miller portrays the titular character, has had multiple delays with production due to the coronavirus pandemic but is set to hit theaters in June 2023.
Amid the press tour for the film that same month, The Flash director Andy Muschietti and producer Barbara Muschietti spoke out about Miller’s mental health ups and downs during a Q&A on the Warner Bros. lot.
"Ezra is well now,” Andy told the audience via Entertainment Weekly when asked by the moderator how Miller was doing after their run-ins with the law in 2022. "We're all hoping that they get better... They're taking the steps to recovery. They're dealing with mental health issues, but they're well.”
Barbara agreed, explaining that Miller’s “commitment” while filming was “something we've never seen.” She gushed: “The discipline to the work, the willingness — physical, mental, and just wanting to go beyond the pale — is just amazing."
Miller spoke out about their controversies at the Los Angeles premiere of The Flash. While giving a speech at the screening, the Dalíland actor thanked DC Studios' cochairs Safran and Gunn “for your grace and discernment and care in the context of my life and in bringing this moment to fruition.”
They went on to thank the “thousands of artists and workers who made this movie, everybody who supported us in our lives and in the world,” as well as “everybody who supported me in my life and in the world along this decade-long trying and very beautiful peregrination.”
After a Massachusetts court lifted its protective order against Miller later that month, the actor spoke out. (A woman had alleged that the Flash star acted inappropriately to their 12-year-old child and subsequently harassed her entire family.)
“I’m encouraged by today’s outcome and very grateful at this moment to everyone who has stood beside me and sought to ensure that this egregious misuse of the protective order system was halted,” Miller wrote in an Instagram statement. “Protective orders are meant to provide safety for individuals, families and children who are in danger They are not meant to be used as weapons by those seeking attention or fleeting tabloid fame or some sort of personal vengeance when there are people in true and dire need of these services.”
They added: “I have been unjustly and directly targeted by an individual who the facts have shown has a history of such manipulative and destructive actions. … On a personal note, I want everyone to know that I am continuing to do my best to preserve my own wellness and what I can to reverse the collateral damage this ordeal has brought upon me and those close to me.”
Miller made a surprise appearance at Cannes Film Festival in France, walking the red carpet at the Die, My Love premiere. A video captured by Variety showed the actor walking swiftly behind stars Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson but not stopping for the cameras. They did, however, appear in the background of some images.
The interview came on the heels of Rory McIlroy refusing to speak with members of the media for 4 consecutive days during his time at Quail Hollow Golf & Country Club.
The timing of Balinois’ comment was quickly acknowledged by golf fans watching at home.
“Balionis with a not-so-subtle drive by on Rory at the end of that Bryson interview ,” one viewer wrote via X.
Another wrote, “Amanda Balionis with the subtle jab at Rory McIlroy.”
Balionis and McIlroy, 36, were linked last year after rumors swirled that the pair were dating following McIlroy’s divorce filing from his wife, Erica Stoll, in May 2024. Us Weeklyexclusively confirmed that Balionis and McIlroy were never romantically involved.
McIlroy received overwhelming criticism for his decision to avoid the media all weekend with reporter Kyle Porter calling McIlroy’s behavior “bizarre.”
“I don’t get real wound up about players missing media for a round or honestly even several of them,” Porter wrote via X on Sunday. “He talks a ton, more than anyone, and I don’t need his quotes to write a dumb newsletter. But to not talk at all after play started on Thursday (especially given all the requests) is out of character and — whether it’s fair or not — an abdication of responsibility as one of the greats.”
McIlroy, who was coming off winning the career grand slam at the Masters Tournament in April, finished the weekend in a tie for 47th.
McIlroy declined to speak to the media after his turbulent opening round at Augusta National, which saw him add two double bogeys on his final four holes.
Before the Masters, McIlroy defended a golfer’s right to turn down their media availability.
“Every other athlete, whether it be in the NBA, NFL, they’re obligated to speak to you guys after a game. We’re not,” McIlroy told reporters. “Whether that’s something that the PGA Tour looks to in terms of putting that into their rules and regulations, but as long as that’s not the case and we have that option to opt out whenever we want, expect guys to do that from time to time.”
Polyfamily star Tyler isn’t shy about his and girlfriend Taya’s sex life — but that doesn’t mean his wife, Alysia, wants to hear about it.
In Us Weekly’s exclusive sneak peek of the Tuesday, May 20, episode of the TLC series, Tyler recounts his and Taya’s intimate night away from the house to his wife and Taya’s husband, Sean, but it doesn’t go over well.
“Once we got settled in, I was having fun,” Tyler tells the group while standing beside Alysia, who was home with Sean and their combined five kids. “We also had, like, this edible body paint and stuff I licked off of her arm and painted under the stencil.”
Sean appears to be unfazed by the couple’s bedroom activities, replying, “Sexy. Hot!” Taya, meanwhile, downplays just how sexy it was saying, “It was straight-up syrup.”
Tyler, TayaTLC
While Tyler explains that it is “hard to get back to being intimate” after Taya recently gave birth, Alysia doesn’t want to hear it.
“OK, yeah, I’m out. I don’t want to talk about that,” Alysia says, making an unamused face. Sean, who was also stuck at home with the kids, claims it “doesn’t bother” him, pointing out it was an “overnight trip at the beach,” after all.
Alysia quips, “I would assume too. But I don’t want to know the details of it.” Tyler tries to backpedal, noting, “I said intimate. Not naked.” Alysia fires back, “Do you get intimate with your clothes on?”
“Can I ask why you thought it would be OK to talk about the intimate details, like, the sex part of your guys’ overnight date when I’ve made it really, really clear that that’s not something that I care to hear about?” Alysia asks Tyler during a separate interview.
Tyler insists he “wasn’t talking about the sex” and was instead discussing his and Taya’s “intimacy and what we’re doing and activities and things.”
Alysia is still visibly upset, saying that him talking about their fun with edible body paint was too much for her to stomach.
“I’m used to talking pretty openly with Sean and Taya and about whatever,” Tyler admits. “And sometimes it’s hard to remember to censor myself in those situations with you.”
When Polyfamily premiered last month, fans were introduced to the closed polyamorous quad made up of married couples Tyler and Alysia and Sean and Taya. In their unit, Tyler is also dating Taya, while Sean is dating Alysia.
Tyler and Alysia were married 11 years and welcomed a son and daughter before joining the closed quad. Sean and Taya, meanwhile, were married six years before entering their current arrangement.
Since creating a new family, the four adults have welcomed three more kids, the youngest of which’s birth has been a big story line this season.
Colombian influencer María José Estupiñánhas reportedly died after being shot. She was 22.
President of the National Gender Commission of the Colombian Judiciary, Magda Victoria Acosta, claimed Estupiñán was killed on Thursday, May 15, per CNN. The outlet reported that Acosta claimed the suspect who appeared at Estupiñán’s residence was dressed as a delivery man. He allegedly shot her in her home when she opened the door.
“She was a young, enterprising woman with a whole life ahead of her, but those dreams are cut short like the dreams of many women in this country,” Acosta said, per the outlet.
Acosta claimed that Estupiñán was the victim of a domestic violence case and was about to receive financial compensation as a result, CNN reported. She reportedly attended university in Cúcuta near the Venezuela border.
Acosta noted that the commission “very strongly” condemned crime. The incident is being investigated by authorities. Acosta did not indicate whether Estupiñán’s death was a suspected femicide, meaning when a woman is presumed to be killed due to her gender.
Days earlier, news broke that 23-year-old influencer Valeria Márquez was shot dead during a livestream. Denis Rodríguez, a spokesperson for the Jalisco State Prosecutor’s Office, told AP News that Márquez’s death was still under investigation.
Rodríguez claimed that a man posing as a delivery driver and another man on a motorcycle arrived at a Mexico salon and were hoping to deliver a gift to Márquez in person. Márquez began worrying about the incident on the livestream.
“Maybe they were going to kill me,” Márquez said in the video, per the outlet. “Were they going to come and take me away, or what? I’m worried.”
The men returned and asked for Márquez again — which led prosecutors to believe that they were hired assassins, per Rodríguez.
“The aggressor arrived asking if the victim was there. So it appears he didn’t know her,” Rodríguez said. “With that, you can deduce — without jumping to conclusions — that this was a person who was paid. It was obviously someone who came with a purpose.”
AP reported that Márquez was handed a stuffed animal and a bag of Starbucks coffee during the livestream, where she was shot and collapsed. Following her death, her TikTok appeared to be taken down, but a video of the incident circulated online and was confirmed by the prosecutor’s office.
Per the outlet, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said her administration is working with local investigators to locate the assassin and extended her condolences to Márquez’s family. The prosecutor’s office previously told The New York Times that the incident was being investigated as a potential femicide.
Sean “Diddy” Combs and Misa Hylton welcomed one child before calling it quits decades ago.
Diddy connected with Hylton in the early 1990s as they were at the start of their respective careers. Diddy started off as an intern at Uptown Records while Hylton was a budding stylist.
As the pair began to make a name for themselves in the industry, Hylton became pregnant with her and Diddy’s first child. In 1993, they welcomed son Justin Combs. Shortly after Justin’s arrival, Diddy and Hylton split.
After their breakup, Diddy moved on with Kim Porter, with whom he shared son Christian Combs and twins D’Lila and Jessie. (Diddy also adopted Porter’s son Quincy Taylor Brown. Porter died in 2018.) Diddy also shares daughter Chance Combs with ex Sarah Chapman and daughter Love Combs with ex Dana Tran.
Hylton, for her part, was married to JoJo Brim from 1995 to 1999. They share son Niko and daughter Madison.
While Hylton and Diddy began their families with other partners, the exes remained coparented Justin for years.
Keep scrolling to relive their relationship timeline:
1990s
“We were dating at the time and he had just went from intern to A&R,” Hylton told BET in March 2023. “He had a new position at Uptown Records and he was in charge of putting together the album musically but also for their look.”
Hylton shared that she worked with Diddy as his assistant after she finished her school day. Diddy returned the favor by giving Hylton her first solo project: styling Jodeci for his “Gotta Love” music video. She opted to put the musician in streetwear and changed how R&B musicians would style their looks in the future.

The twosome welcomed Justin in December 1993. During a 2017 appearance on “The Premium Pete Show” podcast, Hylton shared that she and Diddy broke up shortly after Justin’s arrival because the music mogul wasn’t ready to settle down as his career was starting to take off.

The exes reunited to celebrate Justin’s 16th birthday. Diddy organized a star-studded bash in New York City for the occasion. The trio posed for a family picture on the red carpet.

June 2023
The fashion designer raised eyebrows after she posted a series of cryptic posts after Justin was arrested for a DUI. (Justin was booked with a misdemeanor and released on a $5,000 bond.)
“I’m not protecting no one anymore, just my son ,” she wrote via her Instagram Story at the time. “The statement ‘a fish rots from the head down’ means that, in addition to being a major contributing factor in a family or organization’s success, leadership is also the root cause of its failure and demise. The Truth shall set you free.”
March 2024
When Diddy’s homes were raided by homeland security, Justin and brother Christian were present for the investigation at their family’s Los Angeles home. Hylton spoke out against law enforcement and claimed they executed “overzealous and overtly militarized force.”
“[The force] used against my sons Justin and Christian is deplorable. If these were the sons of a non-Black celebrity, they would not have been handled with the same aggression,” she wrote via Instagram alongside footage from the incident. “The attempt to humiliate and terrorize these innocent young BLACK MEN is despicable!”
May 2024
As Diddy’s legal troubles continued, a video of Diddy assaulting then-girlfriend Casandra “Cassie” Ventura in 2016 surfaced. Hylton voiced her support for Cassie at the time.
“I am heartbroken that Cassie must relive the horror of her abuse, and my heart goes out to her. I know exactly how she feels, and through my empathy, it has triggered my own trauma,” Hylton wrote via Instagram. “These young people were raised by women that want the best for them — we put God and education first and have always been united in our mutual effort to support their dreams. Two of the youngest do not have their mother here and it has been our duty to support them. Their father needs help and I am praying that he truly does the personal work and receives it.”

On May 12, Hylton stepped out in New York City to attend the opening day of Diddy’s sex trafficking and racketeering trial.
The rap mogul faced charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution. Diddy pleaded not guilty to all charges and has denied the allegations against him.
Hylton — who was using a walker during her public outing — was joined by her and Diddy’s son, Justin Combs, at the hearing. After appearing publicly in court, Hylton took to social media to explain and defend her appearance.
“When I suffered my injury, I had chosen to heal privately but when my son said ‘Mommy I need you’ I was right there for him walker and all,” Hylton wrote via Instagram on May 17. “I’m a MOTHER FIRST, FOR REAL and I am my son’s strength and thats just what it is. Plain and Simple. Whoever doesn’t understand that just simply isn’t in alignment with me or anything that I’m about in life.”
As a beauty writer with nearly a decade of experience, I’ve come to the realization that while the U.S. has put skincare on a pedestal, body care has long been overlooked. Surprisingly, that’s not the case with many other countries. Take Brazil, for example: The latin country puts a major emphasis on body care, and along with slathering on rich lotions, it’s not uncommon for people to go the extra mile and perform daily, lymphatic drainage massages. The tides are finally shifting, though, and some of these body care practices are finally coming stateside with the help of products like the Voesh Tone’d Body Firming Roller Creme.
This nourishing cream not only smoothes and softens skin — its unique applicator boosts circulation and encourages lymphatic drainage, making it easier than ever to treat yourself and achieve body sculpting benefits from home. Rather than smoothing a dollop onto your skin with your hands, this dispenses the perfect amount of lotion which you then work in with the attached massagers.
The little massagers on the cream act like foam rollers, gently adding pressure to your skin to release tension and move toxins out of your body. This application turns the mundane act of applying lotion into a zen moment. Plus, regular usage can lead to more toned arms and legs. It also helps that the lotion is infused with caffeine and peptides — two ingredients known for their firming abilities — as well as pumpkin and hibiscus to detox your lymphatic system.
If you’re more concerned about skin texture than firmness, Voesh also makes the Smooth’d Body Refining Roller Creme which features the same lymphatic drainage massage applicator. This formula, however, blends hyaluronic acid with rosemary oil and tea tree oil to deeply moisturize, calm skin and reduce redness.
My recommendation? Nab both roller creams to level up your summer body goals. I like to apply the Body Refining Creme along my chest and armpits to give those forgotten areas more love. I reserve the Tone’d Firming Creme for my arms and legs to minimize cellulite and increase circulation after heavy duty workouts. This takes the place of my foam roller, too, saving me extra time in the long run.
These creams won’t necessarily replace a good workout routine, but they can certainly enhance your results and help you feel less puffy and more toned. As we head into the summer months who doesn’t want that?
Incredible as it may seem, Elizabeth Hurley is turning 60 in just a few weeks — and the actress is excited to spend her big day on June 10 with her new love, Billy Ray Cyrus.
The “Achy Breaky Heart” singer, 63, and Hurley confirmed on Easter Sunday that they were an item, jointly uploading a PDA-filled photo to Instagram. The world was shocked — but now we’re coming to terms with the fact that this is no spring fling: these two are serious.
“I am looking forward to celebrating with Billy Ray,” Hurley, 59 (for now!), told Hello at the Breast Cancer Research Foundation Hot Pink Party in New York City on Tuesday, May 13. “He should be in England for my birthday. He’ll be meeting my family – and my dogs – and hopefully, it’ll be lovely.”
Wearing a plunging fuchsia Nedo by Nedret Taciroglu dress, in keeping with the event’s hot pink theme, Hurley also said that she’s feeling positive about turning 60. “I love every birthday,” she said. “I always get overexcited if it’s a big birthday — I think people are even nicer to you, maybe give you more presents, more flowers, and generally spoil you more. I welcome it.”
During Cyrus’ visit to England, he should be guaranteed a warm welcome from Hurley’s son Damian. The 23-year-old model has publicly shown his support for his mom’s new relationship, by liking the social media posts the surprising new couple have been sharing since their eyebrow-raising hard launch on April 20.
Damian was also his mom’s date for the Hot Pink Party, and spoke about how proud he is of the woman who raised him (Damian did not have a relationship with his father, the producer and businessman Stephen Bing, who died in 2020.) “Honoured and insanely proud to support my mama in her 30th year as the Global Ambassador,” he shared on Instagram the day after the event. “Last night’s annual Hot Pink Party in NYC, hosted by my mother, raised over a record breaking $11million for lifesaving breast cancer research. I’ve had the privilege of witnessing this campaign’s vital work firsthand since the day I was born. What a deeply moving and inspiring night.”
As Us previously reported, Hurley was openly gushing about her new love to multiple news outlets at the party. “I think people found Billy and I being together a little surprising,” she told Page Six. “It’s not surprising to me because we’re actually quite similar and get on extremely well. There has been quite a reaction.”
Hurley went on to explain that the pair actually have more in common than it first appears. “We both like to laugh a lot, and we both love the country,” she said. “And we both love country music, both love movies. We’ve got a lot in common — and cowboy boots, definitely.”
And in a brief interview with the Daily Mail, she said, “Billy’s a lovely man and we make each other very happy.”
The couple went public with their relationship over Easter weekend when they, seemingly from nowhere, shared a romantic photo on Instagram, with Cyrus wearing bunny ears. A week later, on April 27, Hurley shared another shot of the couple embracing by a tree in Tennessee.
The loved-up duo first met while shooting Father Christmas Is Back in 2021, with Cyrus admitting on The Ty Bentli Show on April 24 that “there was a chemistry there.” He added: “We just laughed, and it was at a time I wasn’t laughing a lot.”
The singer went on to explain that the pair didn’t keep in touch — until Hurley reached out to him in 2024 with a kind text referring to his messy split with ex-wife Firerose, saying “Hey, it looks like life might be a little bit tough and just wanted you to know I’m in your corner; you’ve got a friend in your corner.” At the time, Cyrus didn’t even know who the message was from but, once the mystery was solved, the pair reconnected, and began dating early in 2025.
A source close to Cyrus exclusively told Us Weekly, “Billy Ray and Liz have both been through a lot in life and have bonded over life experiences. Liz is a very compassionate person, which Billy Ray adores.”
Cyrus seemed to approve of the Us exclusive, released earlier this month — on Sunday, May 18, he took to his Instagram to share an image of the magazine in his local Target store, and tagged Hurley.
The Duggar family just welcomed another member to their large brood.
Jeremiah Duggar and his wife, Hannah Duggar, announced via Instagram on Sunday, May 18, that they recently welcomed their third baby, a daughter, together. “There’s absolutely nothing like meeting and falling in love with a new baby!! ,” the couple captioned pics of their adorable newborn. “We are overjoyed to welcome to our family Emery “Emy” Jane Duggar. 5.13.25.”
Several of Jeremiah’s relatives shared their congratulations in the post’s comments. “She’s such a doll! so excited for you all!” his big sister Jinger Duggar wrote underneath the photos, while Jill Duggar commented, “Congratulations guys! She’s a doll!”
In the snaps, baby Emy laid on a blanket while wearing a little white onesie and a velvet hair bow. Her eyes were wide open as the camera captured some of her first photos.
Jeremiah and Hannah announced they were expecting their third daughter in December 2024. “Life with our little girls has been wonderful and we are so excited about adding a third little girl to this group late next spring!! ,” they wrote alongside a sweet Instagram snap of them and their daughters holding a pair of knitted pink baby boots.
Three months after announcing their courtship, Jeremiah popped the question to Hannah in January 2022. Two months later, Us Weekly exclusively confirmed the two tied the knot in Nebraska.

“Today was a perfect day, as we stood before our family and friends and committed our lives to each other,” they told Us of their big day. “It was such a beautiful culmination of so many prayers, dreams & desires! As we’ve seen God’s gracious hand in bringing our lives together, we are excited to see how He will continue to direct our paths. We are looking forward to sharing our married journey with you. Thank you for sharing our joy!”
That August, Jeremiah and Hannah revealed they were expecting their first child, and their eldest daughter, Brynley, was born in December 2022. “After an incredible year, God gave us a precious Christmas gift to top it all off!!” they announced in a New Year’s Day Instagram post in January 2023. “Baby girl decided to arrive early and we are totally and completely in love with our little Brynley Noelle. 12.25.22 • 6lbs 15oz • 19.5 in.”
Less than a year after becoming parents, the duo shared that their family would be expanding. “Life just keeps getting sweeter!” Jeremiah and Hannah captioned a November 2023 Instagram snap of themselves and Brynley holding ultrasound photos.
Their second daughter, Brielle, was born in February 2024. “You have already brought so much joy into our lives!” Jeremiah and Hannah captioned Instagram pics of their little one at the time. “We love you beyond what words can say and are SO very thankful for our two little girls.”
Fans were first introduced to Jeremiah as one of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s 19 children on the TLC reality series 19 Kids and Counting. He went on to appear on the spinoff series Counting On from 2015 to 2020 before taking a step back from the small screen.
Danity Kane’s Dawn Richard took the witness stand for the second time on Monday, May 19, to testify in the trial of her ex-boss Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Richard, 41, answered questions about Diddy’s relationship with ex-girlfriend Cassie, who testified last week for four days. On Monday, Assistant U.S. Attorney Mitzi Steiner asked Richard about what she observed between Diddy, 55, and Cassie, 38, between 2009 and 2011 when she was part of the trio Dirty Money (with Diddy and Kalenna Harper).
The former Danity Kane member claimed that she “frequently” saw Diddy be violent with Cassie (full name Casandra Ventura), alleging he would “punch her, choke her, drag her, slap her in the mouth.” She went on to claim that she “saw him kick her” and “punch her in the stomach.”
Diddy was arrested in September 2024 and charged with sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges and denied all of the allegations against him.
Speaking on Monday, Richard detailed multiple separate instances of alleged violence perpetrated by Diddy. She claimed one occurred at a Central Park concert where she saw Diddy punch Cassie in the face using his closed fist. “Her eye was swelling,” Richard claimed, adding that she and other members of Diddy’s entourage wore sunglasses to the festival in solidarity with Cassie.
On another occasion in 2010, he allegedly punched Cassie in the stomach at a West Hollywood restaurant where other celebrities and employees from Diddy’s record label, Bad Boy, were present.
Later, Richard further claimed, she saw Diddy grab Cassie around the neck, slap her on the mouth and tell her to “shut the f*** up.”
Richard went on to claim that multiple Diddy employees witnessed the alleged abuse, including former Bad Boy executive Harve Pierre, security guards D-Roc and Roger Bonds and assistants Capricorn Clark and “Mia,” the latter of whom is another alleged victim of Diddy’s who is expected to testify.
The singer explained that she encouraged Cassie to leave Diddy, but Cassie said she was “torn” about it. When Diddy found out that Richard and Cassie were having these conversations, Richard claimed he told her to stay out of his relationship “or else y’all are gonna pay for it.”
Eventually, Richard said, she stopped trying to intervene in the relationship because she didn’t feel Cassie was ready to move on. According to Richard, the reasons for Diddy’s alleged abuse of Cassie “varied.” She claimed it “could be Cass speaking up for herself,” “it could be random” or it could be “her having an opinion.”
When cross-examination began, defense attorney Nicole Westmoreland asked Richard about the testimony she gave on Friday, May 16, when she claimed she once saw Diddy try to hit Cassie with a hot skillet. Westmoreland asked the singer whether “it’s been hard to keep your story the same” regarding the alleged incident because she gave slightly different accounts about it in different conversations with lawyers, but Richard replied, “No, I wouldn’t agree with that.”
Westmoreland concluded her cross-examination by asking Richard about her attempts to continue working with Diddy even after she left Bad Boy. When the attorney said, “You were trying to succeed for a long time,” Richard responded, “I have succeeded.”
During redirect questioning, Richard fielded questions about why her stories have sometimes changed. “Every day it gets easier to remember certain things,” she told the court. “I try my best to do it to the best of my ability.” She added that she had “no doubt” she saw Diddy drag Cassie up the stairs on the day of the egg incident.
As for why Richard once asked Diddy about the possibility of reuniting Dirty Money, she claimed it was a favor for her bandmate Harper, whom she believed to be having a difficult time. “I didn’t want to go back,” she said. “It wasn’t good. I didn’t want it.”
Richard began her testimony late on Friday and claimed she once saw Diddy try to hit Cassie with a hot frying pan that had just been used to cook eggs. “He came downstairs angry and was saying, ‘Where the f*** was his eggs’ and he was telling Cassie she never gets anything right and where the f*** was his food,” she alleged. “And he came over to the skillet with the eggs in it and tried to hit her over the head, and she fell to the ground.”
Diddy’s attorney Marc Agnifilo subsequently asked Judge Arun Subramanian to strike that part of Richard’s testimony from the record, arguing that it did not support the charge of sex trafficking and noting Cassie did not mention that alleged incident herself.
On Monday, however, Subramanian issued a tentative ruling that Richard’s Friday testimony is permissible. He will hear additional arguments from both sides before issuing a final ruling.
Richard starred on Diddy’s MTV reality show Making the Band 3 from 2005 to 2006 and was a member of the girl group Danity Kane alongside Aubrey O’Day, D. Woods, Shannon Bex and Aundrea Fimbres. Days before Diddy’s arrest last year, Richard filed a lawsuit accusing him of manipulating, terrorizing and sexually abusing her. She also claimed that she witnessed him physically abusing Cassie.
In her suit, Richard alleged, among other things, that Diddy abused her by forcing her to rehearse 48 hours at a time without sleep, which led to dehydration and fatigue that caused her to develop rashes. She also claimed that he promised to advance her singing career if she complied with his demands.
Diddy denied Richard’s allegations in a September 2024 statement shared via his attorney Erica Wolff. “Mr. Combs is shocked and disappointed by this lawsuit. In an attempt to rewrite history, Dawn Richard has now manufactured a series of false claims all in the hopes of trying to get a payday — conveniently timed to coincide with her album release and press tour,” Wolff told Us. “If Ms. Richard had such a negative experience with Making the Band and Danity Kane, she would not have chosen to continue working directly with Mr. Combs for Dirty Money, nor would she have returned for the Making the Band reboot in 2020 or agreed to be featured on The Love Album last year. It’s unfortunate that Ms. Richard has cast their 20-year friendship aside to try and get money from him, but Mr. Combs is confidently standing on truth and looks forward to proving that in court.”

Cheryl Burke called out the “cruel” body-shamers who have been speculating about her appearance.
“Let’s address the elephant in the comments section. I am not on Ozempic. I am not sick. I didn’t get a face transplant and I didn’t get a brow lift,” Burke, 41, said in a video shared via TikTok on Sunday, May 18. “The level of projection that is happening and that I am witnessing is wild.”
Burke expressed her disappointment with those discussing her looks as if she’s “not a person,” adding, “But here is the most disappointing part that really gets me. [Some of you are writing], ‘We miss the ‘old Cheryl’ from Suite Life of Zack and Cody back in 2006 or Dancing With the Stars season 2 when I was 21 or the three years ago Cheryl where I was going through a divorce.'”
While calling out the online commentary, Burke reminded people “that Cheryl doesn’t exist” anymore.
“The assumptions are exhausting as hell,” she noted. “The accusations are completely cruel and the fact that so many of them are actually coming from women is what is so shocking and hurtful.”
Burke admitted to struggling with the conversations happening about her on social media, saying, “I have been in the public eye since I was 20 years old. My body has changed over the past 20 years. My face has changed because I have changed.”

She continued: “I have experienced so much trauma, divorce, sobriety, burn out and reinvention. This is by no means a pity party. I have healed, I have lost and I have grieved like anybody else. Maybe it shows but I am not sorry for it. Not one bit.”
Burke specifically called out women who were “tearing down other women” and “pretending it is out of concern” for her well-being.
“What has been so challenging is this pressure to prove that I haven’t done something and to convince other people that my healing is valid,” she added. “I am quieter, I have boundaries and more discernment. Frankly, I don’t feel safe the way I used to on social media.”
Burke made it clear she didn’t care what others thought about her appearance. “I am still healing, still growing and still choosing to show up,” she concluded. “If you are here to speculate, compare to demand answers that you are not entitled to, then you are not welcome in this space that I have created.”
“I’m not on Ozempic. I’m not sick. I didn’t get ‘a new face,'” she wrote. “Stop dissecting women’s bodies like they belong to you. This is YOUR reminder: I don’t owe you an explanation for my healing or for anything quite frankly. Let this be the last time I have to say it.”
Mariska Hargitay should thank Law & Order: Special Victims Unit for more than just decades of work. The hit NBC drama also introduced her to husband Peter Hermann.
The couple, who tied the knot in August 2004, began their lasting relationship after his 2002 guest appearance. Hermann has continued his role as Trevor Langan to Hargitay’s Olivia Benson throughout the series’ run, popping in from time-to-time as their offscreen romance thrived. Two years after their wedding, the pair welcomed son August in June 2006 and later adopted daughter Amaya and son Andrew in 2011.
After the trio were jokingly referred to as one of the most “progressive marriages in Hollywood,” the Blue Bloods star noted on E! News’ Daily Pop in May 2021, “We make it work.”
In fact, the actors are all friends off screen. “Sometimes Chris and I have some things to negotiate, but we’ve gotten really good at communicating with each other,” Hermann said. “There’s a lot of give and take. In the end, all three of us are really happy.”
Hargitay met her future husband in November 2021 when he guest-starred as Trevor Langan in the Law & Order: SVU season 3 episode “Monogamy,” which aired in 2002. The actor continued to appear throughout the long-running drama.
The pair adopted daughter Amaya in April 2011. “I basically pulled Amaya out,” the actress told Good Housekeeping in May 2012 of being involved with the birth. “Peter and I held her, and then the birth mother and I hugged for a long time. That was profound. That was one of the most meaningful moments I’ve ever had in my life.”
Months after adding their second child to the family, Hargitay and Hermann adopted son Andrew. “It was one of those things that we were not expecting at all and my husband and I looked at each other and have never been more sure about anything,” she said during an April 2012 appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
The Joyful Heart founder raved about her home life in June 2012. “I get very excited about my double stroller,” she told Us at the time. “Every time I look at it, I get a shot of adrenaline and joy because I think, ‘This is real!’ I have everything I need. Our house is very joyful.”
Hargitay and Hermann showed off their brood in October 2015 when they sported family Halloween costumes inspired by Inside Out. The actor was a spot-on Fear, while the ER alum perfectly embodied Joy.
The duo, who often give fans a peek at their worldwide travels, cuddled up while on a vacation to Hawaii. “#JoyfulWeekend,” she captioned the sweet Instagram pic.
Hermann said “there is no secret” to his successful marriage with Hargitay. “We’re all just working through it — whether it’s a relationship that exists in the public eye to some degree or doesn’t,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “Our son plays basketball and his coach says, ‘Fundamentals, fundamentals, fundamentals,’ and I think when it comes to relationships, the fundamentals, in the end, are not that complicated.”
Hargitay gushed about Hermann while discussing her work-life balance. “I have an incredible support system with my husband. He’s an actor so he also understands,” she told Us in June 2018. “I try to keep it organic. The kids come to set all the time. I have worked out my schedule a bit that I have a little more flexibility. I have a great time behind me.”
Round two! The Hermanns dressed in their best Avengers ensembles for their 2018 family Halloween costume. “#FamiliesThatAvengeTogetherStayTogether,” she wrote on Instagram. “#InfinityLove.”
On Today With Hoda & Jenna, Hargitay opened up about why she got emotional after her first date with Hermann. “I cried because I was feeling something that I’d never felt before, but I kind of knew what it was and I always say people, well, you know, when you’re a little girl, your parents and your grandparents and everyone goes, ‘When you’re in love, you’ll know.’ And I did,” she explained. “And before I did I’d never felt that. And so when I was sitting in church, it was so hilarious, because Peter was like, ‘Oh, my god, she’s so moved.’”
The two celebrated their anniversary amid the coronavirus pandemic. “Thank you for all your beautiful wishes for our 16th wedding anniversary,” Hargitay wrote via Instagram that August. “In this time of so much uncertainty this sure feels good. #Sweet16.”
In the fall, Hermann raved over Hargitay as a new season of Law & Order: SVU debuted. “Here’s looking at you @mariska! Congrats on tonight’s premiere of Season 22—TWENTY-TWO!!!!—of @nbcsvu,” he tweeted. “You’re the enduring backbone, determined heart and bright, shining spirit who makes it all possible. I love you, I’m so proud of you…. and your smile just slays me. #SVU.”
Later that month, she posted a cuddly Instagram photo of them for Thanksgiving, gushing: “Grateful.”
Hermann celebrated his wife after she reached 500 episodes on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. “You astonish me. We met in episode 54. Best 447 episodes of my life,” he tweeted in October 2021. “Congratulations, you beautiful life force. I love you. #SVU.”
One month later, the duo made a rare red carpet appearance at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards, where Hargitay was honored alongside Megan Thee Stallion, Amanda Gorman and others.
“He’s so funny and so different than anyone I ever met and we had such a sort of beautiful [period of] getting to know each other and learning how to see each other and beautiful courtship. And here we are 17 years married, 19 years in and still learning about each other every day,” Hargitay gushed about her husband during a January 2022 appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show before noting she knew she would marry him after their first date.
She recalled: “Do you know where our first date was? It’s a little too good to be true. Our first date he asked me to go to church with him. And I was moving and I said, ‘Peter, I would love to but not today I am moving today.’ He was like, ‘Oh, come on, it’s an hour. It’s an hour.’ It was so funny, I just couldn’t resist so I went to church. And it was that day — I remember we went to church, and I am crying and he thinks I am so moved by the sermon and I am crying because I am like, ‘I know I am going to marry him. I found my husband. I love him.’”
The duo hit the picket line together in July amid the SAG-AFTRA strike. "#AFamilyThatStrikesTogether" was among the hashtags Hargitay used to caption photos of her and her husband arm-in-arm outside studio offices.
One month later, Hargitay commemorated the couple’s 19th wedding anniversary by sharing a throwback photo from their nuptials. “Best dance of my life,” she wrote via Instagram. “Only dance of my life.”
During a January 2024 appearance on Today With Hoda & Jenna, Hargitay said her relationship with Hermann “just keeps getting better” with time. “And marriage is not always like this, or any relationship that is deep in matters, but I have learned so much,” she continued. “Peter always says this beautiful quote about … breaking through marriage into marriage. And that is what I think we've lived because at this time in my life, I feel very different than I have for the last maybe 15 or 18 [years] — and I feel [assured] up in our love.”
Hargitay and Hermann posed with their family for a rare outing at the Cannes Film Festival in May. Hargitay had her husband by her side as she showcased her directorial debut My Mom Jayne at the film festival.
“Thank you for being by my side. Now and always,” Hargitay captioned an Instagram post with her husband. “I love you.”

“Seven years of marriage. A lifetime of stories,” Meghan, 43, captioned an Instagram post on Monday, May 19. “Thanks to all of you (whether by our side, or from afar) who have loved and supported us throughout our love story — we appreciate you. Happy anniversary!”
The photo shared appeared to be a bulletin board showcasing the timeline of “our love story,” featuring several photos of Meghan and Harry, 40, throughout the years.
A few never-before-seen images from the early days of their relationship in 2016 appeared on the board alongside the cities where they had been taken. Their 2017 engagement photos and one picture from Meghan and Harry’s 2018 wedding were also displayed.
The 2019 section of their love story featured an ultrasound of firstborn son, Archie, and a Polaroid of a pregnant Meghan showing off her baby bump. One image showed Harry leaning over Archie after their son was born in May of that year.
2020 (when the couple relocated from London to Montecito after stepping down from senior-working-royal duties) featured romantic photos of the pair, while 2021 brought more family photos. In fact, their daughter Lilibet — who was born in June of that year — could be seen in full as a newborn. The year 2022 had the most images of the couple and their entire family, while 2023 and 2024 were majority of just Harry and Meghan showing off their love.
Along with the images, Meghan included handwritten notes about the pictures, including photo credits, in her signature script. “Love wins,” also appeared to be written alongside the final image of Harry and Meghan kissing, which was taken this year.
Harry and Meghan announced their engagement in November 2017, getting married months later in May 2018. Their highly publicized romance has been a topic of conversation for years — especially after the duo announced their decision to leave the royal family in 2020 and relocate to California.
Meghan’s anniversary post comes amid Harry’s drama with his family. Earlier this month, the Duke of Sussex lost an appeal in his ongoing legal battle for government-funded security in the U.K. (Harry and Meghan lost their security detail following their departure from the royal family.)
Harry spoke out in a bombshell interview, subtly referencing his wife and kids, while hinting that his father, King Charles III was involved in his legal loss.
“I can’t see a world in which I would bring my wife and children back to the UK at this point,” Harry said, in part. “I love my country, I always have done, despite what some people in that country have done.”
Michelle Williams made a rare comment about how her and ex Heath Ledger‘s 19-year-old daughter, Matilda, keeps his memory alive.
During the Monday, May 19, episode of the “Armchair Expert” podcast, host Dax Shepard spoke with Williams, 44, about the impact Ledger left behind, saying, “I feel obligated to say that I knew him a little bit when he was getting sober, and I don’t know that I’ve ever fallen in love with somebody so quickly.”
Shepard expressed gratitude for the time he spent with Ledger. “This is one of the most special boys I’ve ever met, and I can feel the weight of the world on him in a very special way that kind of broke my heart,” he added. “I was very, very sad, and I thought he was just so special.”
Williams got emotional about Shepard’s praise for Ledger. “[He was] so special, so special,” she whispered. “Thank God there’s Matilda.” When Shepard described Ledger as “this heart here that’s just leaking out everywhere,” Williams wholeheartedly agreed, saying, “Yeah, an incredible sensitivity.”
After meeting on set of Brokeback Mountain in 2004, Williams and Ledger started dating. Matilda was born in October 2005.
“We had a baby. But I suppose maybe it’s a good thing about being young is that you don’t have so much life experience that you can contextualize things,” Williams added on Monday’s podcast episode. “So you’re really just going with the flow.”
Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagic
The pair ultimately called it quits in October 2007 and three months later, Ledger died at age 28 due to an accidental drug overdose. It would be years before Williams made a comment about raising Matilda as a single mom.
“In all honesty, for pretty much everything else, I feel like I’m a believer in not fighting circumstances, accepting where you are and where you’ve been. In pretty much all senses but one,” she told Porter magazine in 2016. “I would be able to go totally down that line of thinking were it not for Matilda not having her dad. You know, that’s just something that doesn’t … I mean, it just won’t ever be right.”
Williams went on to marry musician Phil Elverum in 2018. Less than a year later, the duo parted ways and Us Weekly confirmed in December 2019 that Williams was engaged to director Thomas Kail. They tied the knot in 2020 and have welcomed three kids together.
As Williams’ eldest has gotten older, the actress has reflected on Matlida’s close bond with actor Jeremy Strong.
“[Matilda] didn’t grow up with her father but she grew up with her Jeremy,” Williams told Variety in May 2022. “[She] was changed by [Strong’s] ability to play as though his life depended on it, because hers did. Jeremy was serious enough to hold the weight of a child’s broken heart and sensitive enough to understand how to approach her through play and games and silliness.”
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were in good spirits while out and about in New York City amid their ongoing legal drama.
Reynolds, 48, led Lively, 37, through the streets of SoHo while holding her hand on Sunday, May 18. The Welcome to Wrexham star kept it casual in a short-sleeved button down with black pants and sneakers. His wife, on the other hand, appeared a little more dressed up. Lively opted for a floral-print dress and white denim jacket with heels.
Lively was all smiles during their walk while Reynolds kept a more serious face, smirking at the cameras.
Their rare outing comes amid Lively’s ongoing drama with former It Ends With Us costar and director Justin Baldoni. The pair have been at odds since December 2024 when Lively accused Baldoni, 41, of sexual harassment and creating a hostile work environment on the film’s set. Baldoni countersued the actress and Reynolds for $400 million. (Both Lively and Baldoni have continued to vehemently deny each other’s accusations.)

“Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film,” Swift’s rep shared in a statement to Us Weekly on May 9. “She did not even see It Ends With Us until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history.”
The statement continued: “The connection Taylor had to this film was permitting the use of one song, ‘My Tears Ricochet.’ Given that her involvement was licensing a song for the film, which 19 other artists also did, this document subpoena is designed to use Taylor Swift’s name to draw public interest by creating tabloid clickbait instead of focusing on the facts of the case.”
With Swift’s name coming up in reference to the lawsuit, fans have wondered what that means for the singer’s friendship with Lively. (Swift is the godmother to three of Lively and Reynolds’ four kids: James, Inez, Betty and Olin.)
“Taylor and Blake have talked, but it’s strained,” a source exclusively told Us in a recent cover story. “Their friendship is not what it used to be.”
“Taylor’s biggest issue seems to be protecting herself emotionally and legally,” the source explained. “She’s always been someone who values loyalty, and right now, she’s navigating how to preserve that while also setting boundaries in a complicated, high-stakes situation.”
American Idolpaved the way for reality competition shows to help everyday people achieve their dreams of music stardom.
The series premiered in 2002 on Fox with a star-studded judging panel consisting of Simon Cowell,Paula Abduland Randy Jackson. American Idol‘s freshman season introduced Kelly Clarkson, who would become the show’s first breakout star.
The three judges reunited in September 2019 on The Kelly Clarkson Show, where they admitted they weren’t certain the show’s premise could work — until Clarkson walked through the door.
“I actually, genuinely do not believe we would be sitting here today if you hadn’t entered the show that year,” Cowell said.
Jackson added, “We looked at each other at the end of the finale and said, ‘Wow, this thing is really gonna work.’ I think that was the moment that we knew.”
Scroll through the gallery below to see where the American Idol winners are today.
After winning the inaugural title, the Texas native signed a record deal with RCA Records and released her debut album, Thankful, in 2003. Later that year, Clarkson costarred in the movie From Justin to Kelly with season 1 runner-up, Justin Guarini. She went on to release 10 studio albums and has won three Grammys, including for Best Pop Vocal Album in 2006 and 2013. She published the children’s book, River Rose and the Magical Lullaby, in 2016.
Clarkson became a coach on season 14 of The Voice in 2018. One year later, she became the host of her own talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show.
The songstress married talent manager Brandon Blackstock in 2013, and Us confirmed that she filed for divorce in June 2020. The former couple, who finalized their split in 2022, are the parents of daughter River Rose and son Remington. Clarkson addressed her divorce on her 10th studio album, Chemistry, which was released in 2023.
Studdard — who was dubbed American Idol’s “velvet teddy bear” — beat out season 2 runner-up Clay Aiken in 2003. Studdard released his first album, Soulful, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and received a Grammy nomination for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance. The Alabama native released a gospel album in 2004 before switching back to R&B in 2006 with his album, The Return. However, his label, J Records, dropped him in 2007. He released his latest album, Ruben Sings Luther — a tribute to the late Luther Vandross — in 2018.
Studdard made his return to reality TV when he competed on season 15 of The Biggest Loser as the show’s first-ever celebrity contestant. He married Zuri McCants in 2008, but the pair divorced in 2012.
Barrino released her Grammy-nominated debut album, Free Yourself, in 2004 after she won season 3. She later earned 12 Grammy nominations and one Grammy win for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance in 2011. Barrino has recorded a total of seven studio albums including her 2019 album, Sketchbook.
The singer took on Broadway when she starred in the musicals The Color Purple in 2007 and After Midnight in 2013. Barrino also opened up about her personal life in her memoir, Fantasia: Life Is Not a Fairytale, which was turned into a Lifetime movie in 2006. In 2010, Barrino starred in her VH1 reality series, Fantasia for Real, for two seasons. Later that year, she suffered from an aspirin overdose which she later admitted was a suicide attempt.
Barrino married businessman Kendall Taylor in 2015. In May 2021, the pair welcomed their first child together, daughter Keziah. Barrino is also the mother of daughter Zion and son Dallas from previous relationships.
Barrino reprised her role as Celie in the 2023 film adaptation of The Color Purple. During a December 2023 interview with The New York Times, she opened up about the challenges of returning to the emotional subject matter.
“There were times that I just felt like I’m not going to make it. I cannot do it. I would cry going to set. I would cry leaving set,” she said. “I would talk to God, and I would tell him, ‘You’ve got to make this make sense. Make it make sense. There’s got to be something out of this.’ It was so hard.”
Shortly before the interview, Barrino learned that she’d been nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for the film.
“That was my prayer. Like, Lord, don’t let my work be in vain, meaning not for awards, but meaning, let these girls see — you are beautiful,” she told the outlet. “You’re placed on this Earth for a reason. You’re brilliant. You’re smart. You are seen. And you can fall, but you can get back up.”
Underwood scored the winning title on season 4 in 2005 before she released her debut album, Some Hearts, which included the singles “Jesus Take the Wheel” and “Before He Cheats.” The Tennessee native recorded six studio albums, which awarded her seven Grammys — the most of any Idol winner. She also set the 2010 Guinness World Record for most country No. 1 songs for a female artist in the U.S. The “Drinking Alone” singer made her acting debut as Maria von Trapp in NBC’s The Sound of Music: Live in 2013.
In November 2017, Underwood fell on the steps outside of her house in Nashville, Tennessee, which resulted in a broken wrist and 40 stitches to her face.
Underwood married hockey player Mike Fisher in 2010. The couple share sons Isaiah and Jacob.
Hicks beat out runner-up Katharine McPhee on season 5 in 2006 with the help of his loyal fanbase, Soul Patrol. He released his self-titled debut album later that year. After poor record sales, Hicks was dropped from his record label in 2008, which caused him to form his own label, Modern Whomp. Sundress season is starting early this year (hello, 80-degree weather!), and it’s time to start planning your summer wardrobe. But if you have a large bust, finding an everyday sundress that flatters your figure and supports the chest can be a major pain. We’re here to help!

“I say this with all the love in the world — because I love her — she was tough, man,” Biel, 43, told InStyle during an interview published on Monday, May 19. “I pushed her buttons.”
Similar to their dynamic on screen, the duo had “a sisterly relationship,” with Biel adding, “I think I did it because I looked up to her and I loved her. We got under each other’s skin in the best way possible.”
Biel reflected on her time playing Mary, crediting 7th Heaven for its influence on her as an actress.
“What I remember most, probably, is the camaraderie of all the kids,” she said. “The ability to have that longevity and stamina, that’s a huge part of what I can do kind of easily, because it’s what I did ever since I was little.”
She added: “I definitely work with people now who talk about, ‘Man, these hours are long’ and ‘Man, this is a long schedule.’ And I’m like, ‘Is it?’”

7th Heaven, which ran from 1996 to 2007, followed a minister living in the fictional town of Glen Oak, California, as he and his wife dealt with the drama of raising seven children. In addition to Biel and Mitchell, 44, the ensemble cast also included Stephen Collins, Barry Watson, David Gallagher, Mackenzie Rosman and Catherine Hicks.
The hit series aired for 10 seasons before it was canceled at The WB. When The WB became The CW, the show was given one more season but was canceled for good in 2007.
Biel, for her part, went on to appear in a variety of movie roles including Valentine’s Day, The A-Team, New Year’s Eve, Total Recall and Hitchcock. She admitted to InStyle that “playing the girlfriend” role over and over left her feeling “creatively uninteresting.”
“It was at a time when men’s stories were really important. Where’s my Mad Men?” she noted. “It just felt like a bummer, like, ‘When is somebody going to see that I have more to offer them?’”
More recently, Biel expanded her focus to being an executive producer on TV shows such as Cruel Summer, The Sinner, Candy and Prime Video’s The Better Sister, in which she stars alongside Elizabeth Banks. Biel’s success behind the scenes has only made her more hungry to explore different avenues in the entertainment industry.
“I’m still not working with [some of] the A-list directors of my dreams, you know? So, I don’t feel like, ‘Done it. Did it.’ What more can I do?” she explained. “I feel like I have so much more to go, not in a weird, dysfunctional way, just like, ‘Man, there’s a lot of people I haven’t been able to work with that I want to work with.’”
Biel even named some of the people on her wish list, saying, “I love a good manifestation. David Fincher, he’s one of my favorites, favorite favorites. And so many actresses that are incredible — the Helen Mirrens of the world, the Olivia Colmans of the world. And then, I haven’t worked with almost any women that are peers of mine besides Elizabeth [Banks]. Now it’s stories about sisters and families and friendships, so I’m hoping for more of that in the future. What more ladies can I work with?”
She concluded: “It’s such a delicate business, one thing goes away and everything falls apart. People have to trust and take risks. You gotta risk it for the biscuit. That’s a new thing [my husband] Justin [Timberlake] and I are saying: ‘You gotta risk it for the biscuit.’ I don’t even know what it means, like, tangibly.'”
