I don’t think I’ve ever experienced allergies to the extent of actually wanting to do something about them — that is, until recently. My chest started sounding like a broken accordion every time I tried to take a deep breath, and mysterious rashes sent me straight to my dermatologist. All the signs pointed me in one direction: I needed to clear my indoor air ASAP. Dust bunnies, pollen, mystery particles — anything bold enough to float through my 830 sq ft apartment had to go.
I started looking into professional indoor air testing and allergen assessments, but the cost made my eyes water more than, well, the allergies. So I pivoted to the more practical option of researching air purifiers. (Cue me falling down a rabbit hole of reviews and filter types.) Right around the same time, Clorox reached out and asked if I wanted to try its new Turbo Air Purifier for Home with a True HEPA Filter — and I said yes, mostly out of desperation.
After running the purifier consistently for about a month, I’ve noticed fewer sneezing fits, clearer breathing and even my skin has calmed down. It’s the $90 fix I desperately needed.
This Clorox air purifier is designed for medium-sized rooms up to 1,000 square feet — perfect for my living-dining-bedroom combo. It uses a 3-stage, 360° filtration system, which includes a pre-filter for big stuff like dust and pet hair, a True HEPA filter that traps 99.97% of particles as small as 0.1 microns and an activated carbon filter to neutralize odors. Translation? It handles allergens, cooking smells, viruses and that invisible gunk floating around you.
I especially love that there’s a Turbo Mode, which, according to Clorox’s Home Environment Product Manager Nicole Backus, was specifically created based on user feedback.
“We learned that consumers weren’t using the standard timer feature on air purifiers,” Backus explained over Zoom. “So we repurposed it as a Turbo Timer. If you’ve just cleaned, cooked something strong-smelling or are getting ready for bed, you can run it on Turbo for 10, 15 or 20 minutes. It cleans the air quickly, then goes back to your previous setting.”
I turn on Turbo while winding down at night — it’s like setting the vibe, but for your lungs.
One thing I didn’t fully expect, however, was being able to sleep better. Backus noted that better air quality doesn’t just help with allergies — it can also improve your rest at night.
“A recent study showed that a HEPA air purifier can actually increase sleep by 12 minutes,” she told me. “If you’re tracking your sleep, that’s a lot. When you breathe easier, you sleep better — it’s that simple.”

Dr. Mehmet Oz’s granddaughter, Philomena, fainted while President Donald Trump spoke at the White House after Oz’s swearing-in ceremony.
Oz, 64, was at the White House on Friday, April 18, to be sworn in as Trump’s administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The former TV personality was confirmed to the position when the Senate voted to approve him earlier this month.
For the ceremony, Oz was joined by his wife Lisa, son Oliver, and daughters Daphne, Arabella and Zoe. Some of Oz’s grandchildren were also in attendance, according to multiple outlets.
After being sworn in by Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Trump, 78, spoke to the crowd about Oz joining his administration. The president’s remarks were interrupted when the little girl collapsed.
One of Oz’s daughters stated, “Philo fainted, Philo fainted. Dad, go,” according to People.
Oz ran over to check on Philomena, 11, before returning to Trump’s side. Philomena’s mom Daphne and her uncle, Oliver, walked her out of the room.
The event was subsequently cut short following the incident. Reporters and bystanders were ushered out of the Oval Office.

The White House released a statement on Friday to CBS News regarding the incident.
“A minor family member fainted during Dr. Oz’s swearing in ceremony in the Oval Office,” the statement read. “We are happy to say she is OK.”
No additional details about Philomena’s condition have been released.
Us Weekly has reached out to Oz for comment.
Daphne and her husband, John Jovanovic, welcomed Philomena in March 2011. The couple, who tied the knot in 2010, also share son Jovan, 9, and daughters Domenica, 6, and Giovanna, 4.
Last month, the family of six celebrated Philomena’s 11th birthday, and Daphne paid tribute to her eldest daughter.
“Happiest 11th birthday to our first born, Philomena!! ,” she wrote via Instagram in March. “You still love pink. You still love stories of every kind and remember absolutely everything. You’re still creative, and brilliant, and wise beyond your years. You’re the fastest in the land! You’re ‘preppier’ now (she picked these emojis lol), though I feel like that means something different than it did when I was your age … and most of all, you still feel like a little bit of magic every day. We love you so much!! ”
In the post, Daphne included a snap of the birthday girl surrounded by her family as she prepared to blow out her birthday candles.
Robyn was previously married to David Jessop — with whom she shares children David, Aurora and Breanna — until their divorce in 2007. After their legal case was settled, she met Kody and his first wife, Meri Brown, at a gathering hosted by Robyn’s cousin. From there, sparks flew as the duo courted throughout the reality series’ first season, which aired in 2010.
Robyn and her children — whom Kody legally adopted after the couple legally wed in December 2014 — then moved into the Brown family compound. They later welcomed two children of their own. (Kody divorced Meri before his 2014 nuptials, but the duo remained in a spiritual union for a decade.)
After four years together, Kody and Robyn were spiritually married. At the time, Kody was legally married to Meri and spiritually married to both Janelle and Christine.
The couple went on a plural date night alongside Meri, Janelle and Christine. Robyn captioned an Instagram selfie at the time, “Playing hooky! We may never go home! #spontaneousmoviedate.”
The large brood, who previously lived together in a joint compound in Utah, relocated to Flagstaff, Arizona. Instead of one large house, each wife — and their respective children — had their own residence.
"Vegas has been good for us; I’m not saying that it hasn’t, it’s been really good. And it’s been great for our kids. They’ve all really grown here and done so many wonderful things and it’s been great for us," Christine said during a season 13 episode of the reality TV program. "I’m just ready for the next adventure.”
“Kody is leading the charge on how careful we’re being,” Robyn exclusively told Us of her husband’s COVID-19 safety guidelines, explaining why he stayed at her house significantly more than his other wives' homes. “I know that it’s really important to protect lives up until the very end.”
She continued: “I know that they were making choices that they felt comfortable with as far as traveling and having people in the home … making it so that Kody was not able to go see them. I have little kids, so I kind of just had to run my will with Kody with whatever he decided and just do what he was doing because that’s the only way my little kids would be able to see him.”
Following Kody’s split from Christine, a source hinted that Robyn felt uneasy that her strong connection played a role, telling Us, “She secretly knows that she’s the one to blame for the separation, so obviously there’s some guilt there.”
“I cannot express enough how hard it is to be in a plural family where my husband and his other wife is having a problem and it completely affects my life, but I’m really supposed to stay out of it and I have no say,” Robyn said the difficulties of being in a plural marriage during the December 26 episode of Sister Wives. “The lines are hard between our different marriages because it’s like, ‘OK, you’ve got to respect that she’s got her own relationship with Kody.’ But at the same time, their relationship affects yours.”
A source told Us that Kody was "spending all his time with Robyn" amid his ongoing struggles with Janelle and Meri. "The others are in their own world, living their own lives. He spent the holidays with Robyn and her kids. He didn’t even try making plans with the others,” the insider said at the time. "All the wives were very much separated for the holidays, spending time with their own families."
Robyn confessed during part 2 of the Sister Wives season tell-all special that she often feels caught in the middle of Kody's conflicts with the other wives. "It’s been really, really tough for me. It’s been really painful,” she said at the time. "There’s been a lot of unsafe spaces. I just want people to see me as who I am. I want them to see that I love this family. That I'm committed to them. That I'd do anything for them. That I love them. And that I want the relationship."
In the first preview for season 17 of Sister Wives, Robyn hinted that she felt betrayed by Christine leaving the family. "I would never do anything to this family to hurt it. I just wish people would see that," she said.
Robyn and Kody purchased Christine’s portion of the family’s Coyote Pass property in Flagstaff, Arizona, for $10, according to property records obtained by Us. The sale went through one month prior.
Robyn witnessed Kody falling apart during season 17, which was filmed in spring 2021 and aired in fall 2022, as he and Christine continued to grow apart pre-split. After Christine moved Kody’s things out of her place, Robyn realized just how serious their issues were and called for her husband to try and make amends to save their plural family. “Sometimes you just can’t sleep in the same bed with your spouse because you’re struggling. Maybe she just needs a break,” Robyn said during a confessional interview. “He doesn’t need to not be there. In fact, it should be the other way around. He should be there, present.” The mother of five later confessed that the tension between Kody and Christine affected their relationship as well. “I miss my husband. Anytime I try and talk to him I get the anger thrown at me,” Robyn claimed. “I have tried to speak with the sister wives, I’ve tried to talk to Kody but, you know, nobody’s willing. I’m starting to feel really helpless.”
Following Christine’s announcement that she and Kody had split, the patriarch called for control of the rest of his wives and their respective children. “I’m going to be the head of my household again,” he told all of his wives during a season 17 episode, which was filmed in summer 2021 and aired in October 2022. “So, I’m not going to be circumvented in that. If everybody is willing to conform to patriarchy again, I guess.”
He explained: “I’ve been fighting to make everybody happy. My bitterness is out of trying to do that and not having the family that I had thought about and designed. If it is too awkward, or I don’t feel like the head of my household when people are around then I’m not going to have the whole family together.” The family leader concluded: “I’m disappointed in how I’ve managed this. I felt like all of your independence was more important [and] in that [thought process] we sort of [lost] some sort of community. I guess I’m just sorry we failed.”
On camera, Robyn took issue with Christine’s explanation of when she and Kody fell apart romantically. After Christine claimed that her marriage was struggling in Las Vegas, Robyn called out the alleged “lie.” Robyn also denounced the notion that she and Kody were thriving while his other marriages had issues.
“She’s sitting here saying everyone’s relationships were struggling in Las Vegas and we didn’t have what we had,” Robyn said during a confessional. “And that Kody and I were the only ones that were OK. That’s not true.”
Robyn expressed concern for the future of the family — and Kody’s well-being — during the season 17 finale. “It’s hard to be a plural wife when your husband has a wife leaving him,” she explained. “Most men in monogamy, they go do stupid stuff and they date whoever. And they’re angry and they’re pissed. And [think that] women suck.”
The Utah native continued: “He’s dealing with that while he’s married. And I’ve told him several times, I feel like he’s lining up all women and I’m there too. And he’s shooting us all down because Christine is a woman. And he’s angry and he’s hurt.”
Robyn later told Meri and Janelle, “We need to work on it. Or we’re going to sort of disappear as a family.” Janelle, however, didn’t want to focus on the negativity and walked away from the conversation after confessing that she didn’t feel like her boys were “welcome” at group gatherings.
After the finale aired, Janelle and Kody confirmed that they had been “separated for several months.”
“That’s the most unfair question,” Kody said during part 3 of Sister Wives: One-on-One when asked if Robyn was his “favorite” partner. “You don’t have any idea the work she has done. What she has done as a person. The sacrifices that she’s made. The games that she hasn’t played.”
He continued: “It’s not about a favorite, it’s about finding favor. The words that Christine [Brown] uses incite enmity toward Robyn. She never did anything to Christine but be kind to her.”
Robyn revealed during part 3 of Sister Wives: One-on-One that she is done being a punching bag for her plural family. “They’re making those choices but somehow, I get lumped into it,” she said when speaking about Kody’s drama with estranged wife Janelle. “I’m like, ‘Leave me the hell out of it.’”
The mother of five showed frustration toward her husband and her fellow wives after being scrutinized for being Kody’s alleged “favorite” spouse. “I’m tired of being punished and blamed. And people thinking I’m a bad person because I am just communicating,” Robyn said while breaking down into tears. “I’m tired of being punished for it. I’m tired of it being somehow a bad thing, because it’s not.”
She added: “I don’t let Kody push me around. I say my truth. I speak to him like he’s my best customer. And I expect him to treat me the same way.”
In the wake of Kody’s three divorces, he and Robyn listed their Flagstaff, Arizona, home for $1.65 million. Their five-bedroom house was purchased in 2019, one year after they relocated as a family from Las Vegas.
During the season 19 Sister Wives premiere, fans got a glimpse at Robyn and Kody’s marital issues as a monogamous couple. “Robyn and I are really kind of in a struggling place,” Kody confessed at the time. “We’re probably doing the worst we’ve ever done in our marriage. It’s been tough between us.”
Robyn pointed to his breakups as the catalyst to their own turmoil. “He doesn’t know who to blame, himself or one of the other wives,” Robyn explained. “Kody’s feeling a lot of rejection. And so, I think he’s kind of looking at me going, ‘Are you going to reject me too?’ I’m on my toes. I’m having to consistently make sure that he is not sabotaging our relationship.”
She added, “There’s no resource to help with the idea that I’m still married to a man who’s going through divorces.”
“Will you accept me as a monogamist?” Kody asked Robyn during a season 19 episode. “Is there a problem with that?” Robyn took a beat, but eventually responded, “I’m always going to stick with you.”
She confessed, “I’m just having an identity crisis.” Robyn later told the cameras that while she does “love” Kody, “This is not what I wanted for my life.”
After years of back and forth, Kody and Robyn sold their Coyote Pass property in Flagstaff, alongside Meri and Janelle, who owned part of the land. The property reportedly sold for $1.5 million, earning the family a profit of $680,000.
The parcel was the only thing tying Meri and Janelle to their former spouse as they have both moved from Arizona. Meri resides in Utah, while Janelle lives in North Carolina.
With interest in Rory McIlroy’s personal life at an all-time high following his Masters victory, one of the most talked-about female golfers in the world has entered the chat.
Charley Hull, currently the No. 10 ranked golfer in the Rolex Women’s Golf Rankings, knows a thing or two about going viral. After all, Hull, 29, became a sensation last year when she was pictured smoking cigarettes on the course at the U.S. Women’s Open in 2024.
In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Hull reacted to the overwhelming amount of attention being placed on McIlroy, 35, after his Masters triumph on Sunday, April 13.
“At the end of the day, what people say about you, whether it’s good or bad, is irrelevant,” Hull said, while promoting her partnership with Passes, an online platform for content creators. “If you’re doing something good, people always have bad things to say about you, and try to bring you down because you’re doing well.”
Hull continued, “My famous saying is, ‘People’s opinions don’t pay my bills.’ So you’ve just got to brush it off with a pinch of salt, you know what I mean?”
David Becker/Getty Images
Much of the conversation surrounding McIlroy has to do with his relationship with his wife, Erica Stoll.
Stoll, 37, and the couple’s 4-year-old daughter, Poppy, were both on hand to celebrate with McIlroy at Augusta National Golf Club after his Masters win. However, Stoll did not appear to accompany McIlroy on a trip with their daughter to Ireland on Friday, April 18.
Viewers also noticed that McIlroy did not mention his wife by name during a post-tournament interview with CBS Sports’ Amanda Balionis.
McIlroy and Stoll have been married since 2017, though the couple did briefly split last year after McIlroy filed for divorce in May 2024. McIlroy filed to dismiss the divorce filing just one month later.
Hull said all of the drama surrounding McIroy and Stoll is “a hundred percent” part the reason she’s kept her new relationship “private.”
“I think it’s a good thing to do,” Hull explained. “It can be hard with my job and everything. In a couple weeks time, he is going to come out for a few days, but that’s about it, really.”
Richard Heathcote/Getty Images
While Hull values privacy in many aspects of her life, she’s breaking down some of her walls on Passes, where she will share exclusive golf, fitness, and lifestyle content with her fans.
“It’s pretty cool because obviously fans know me on the golf course, so this gives an insight into my real day-to-day life,” Hull said. “Like what I do when I’m at home or what I do an hour before my tee time. I always get messages saying, ‘What do you do in the gym? What do you eat? What are you working on your golf swing?’”
Say their name, say their name — because, at long last, Michelle Williams has met Michelle Williams.
The Oscar-nominated actress Michelle Williams stopped by the singer Michelle Williams’ current gig on Broadway Thursday night, April 17, catching Death Becomes Her and meeting up with her name twin after the show.
The singer, 45, surprised her followers with the long-awaited news, posting a hilarious video via Instagram.
“Y’all we had an amazing show tonight. The crowd was lit. We love lit crowds,” the Destiny’s Child alum said. “And so I’ve got more things to sign. I always love to bring y’all in on my journey and of course I’ve got more, more, more of these.”
“What do you want?” she asked the person off camera, moving her phone to reveal Michelle Williams, the actress, seated behind her.
“Who should I make it out to?” the actress, 44, asked as the two shared a laugh.
Earlier in the night, Williams the singer invited Williams the actress on-stage and the two embraced, according to a TikTok video posted by one of the attendees. The clip was set to “Say My Name” by Destiny’s Child, naturally.
While it was a hilarious viral moment, it wasn’t unexpected. The Dying for Sex actress appeared on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen earlier in April where she was asked if she would see the other Williams take the stage. “I have my tickets for next week!” the Dawson’s Creek alum said.
Her moniker-mate has joked in the past about fans mixing up the two of them, even showcasing fan mail she’s received that was meant for her counterpart. The Grammy winner read one such letter in an Instagram video in March from a fan named Phillip.
“‘I am writing to kindly ask if you would consider signing the enclosed photos I have of you,’” Phillip wrote alongside photos of the Emmy-winning Michelle Williams. “‘Your work in Blue Valentine, Manchester by the Sea [and] The Greatest Showman, has deeply moved me and many others, showcasing your exceptional talent. … Furthermore, I wish you all the best and much success with your current production of Death Becomes Her at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. I am sure that your captivating performance will leave a lasting impression on the audience.”
The Death Becomes Her star took the mistake in stride, noting that she was hopeful they’d cross paths soon.
“Phillip, thank you so much,” she replied, adding, “Michelle knows what’s going on as well, and I cannot wait to see her, hopefully sooner than later. It’s being worked out.”
She added, “Let me admit, I do get a lot of other fan mail that is actually addressed to me. This Michelle Williams. I just wanna acknowledge that.”

Savage Garden star Darren Hayes revealed he had a near-death experience after a “terrible accident” in March.
“I’ve been trying to keep it private but my lengthy recovery period means it’s easier to admit the truth,” Hayes, 52, wrote via Instagram Friday, April 18, alongside photos showing facial bruising and swelling.
The musician explained that he’d been off the grid since March 17 because he “snapped [his] left jawbone in half” in an accident that took place two months to the day after the death of his mother, Judy Hayes.
“I lost consciousness — I fainted shortly after getting out of bed and collapsed 3 times, losing consciousness each time,” he recalled. “The blunt force trauma was so severe it snapped my left jawbone in half. I woke up in a pool of blood, terrible pain in my left side of my head and with 9 teeth shattered. I’m so lucky that I was found, and taken to the amazing team at the emergency room of St John’s Providence in Santa Monica, where they acted quickly. I could have died if I landed in a different position.”
Courtesy of Darren Hayes/Instagram
Hayes subsequently underwent a battery of medical tests in hopes of finding the root of his recent medical issues, though his doctors still aren’t sure what’s wrong.
“They scanned for and ruled out heart issues and anything neurological. I was scheduled for emergency reconstructive surgery and this happened on March 21st,” he noted. “The incredible surgeons inserted a titanium brace to re-connect my jaw bones and my mouth was wired shut for a minimum of 8 weeks while the left jaw bone could heal.”
After assuring followers he is “under incredible care,” Hayes alerted them to his plan to take more time away from social media to focus on his health.
“So far my heart is normal, my arteries are normal and I don’t have a brain tumor or anything that could cause the accident,” he wrote. “No judgement to those who partake but I do not take drugs or drink alcohol – this was a complete shock. But we are still investigating.”
The “I Want You” singer went on, “I just wanted my fans to know why I’ll be out of action for quite some time. After my jaw heals it’s a long road to rehabbing my jaw function and then of course replacing my shattered teeth. I love you folks.”
“I’m so grateful to be alive and every day I’m getting stronger,” he insisted. “I’m almost one month post surgery now and I’m only just starting to feel better. I’m so grateful to my loved ones for coming to my rescue and to the doctors and nurses who have treated me with such care. After surviving a brutal divorce, losing my Mother, finding out my father died [in 2023] and then this I have had moments of deep sadness. But I am a survivor and I’ll come back strong.”
In January, Hayes shared a heartfelt tribute to his “beautiful, extraordinary, magnificent, wondrous” mother via Instagram, in which he acknowledged feeling “absolutely devastated” by her passing.
“I want you to know she adored the people who enjoyed my music and meeting you was a great joy for her,” he wrote to fans. “We always had an invisible string, a magical connection that was unbreakable no matter where I was in the world. I like to imagine that string was a little bit like twine and she’s a beautiful balloon.”
“The string has been cut and now my Mother has ascended to the heavens where she is forever young, beautiful and can finally breathe and is pain free,” he continued. “Even though she appears to have floated gently into the clouds above, our bond remains forever — perhaps now a connection made of glitter and stardust and wishes and love. My heart is broken but I’m so grateful she is finally at peace.”
Bowen Yang had a long and significant connection to The Wedding Banquet before being cast in the 2025 remake.
“I first saw the movie in college, so well after it had come out. I was obviously familiar with Brokeback Mountain, but then it was in college that I kind of wanted to do my homework on [director Ang] Lee as a filmmaker,” Yang, 34, exclusively shared with Us Weekly at the film’s Los Angeles premiere. “And watching this was very, very resonant because I was also hiding a big part of my life from my parents as well.”
Lee, 70, directed the original film, which premiered in 1993 and followed Winston Chao’s Wai-Tung and his boyfriend, Simon (Mitchell Lichtenstein), as a happy gay couple in New York City whose lives are thrown into flux when Wai-Tung’s Taiwanese parents, unaware of his sexuality, ask him to marry a struggling artist hoping for a green card. The remake, directed and written by Andrew Ahn, stars Yang alongside Lily Gladstone, Kelly Marie Tran and Han Gi-Chan.
In the new iteration, Yang portrays Chris, an updated version of Lichtenstein’s Simon. He recalled the original film ending on an “uncertain note” when it came to Wai-Tung’s complicated coming-out journey with his family, but he said it also gave him “hope” for his own story as a gay man.
“You’re not really sure if things are going to be OK or not. [His family hasn’t] fully accepted him as a gay man, but it still ends in a gesture of love,” Yang explained of the 1993 film’s ending. “They still embrace, and that gave me hope for the future, that I could have an honest life with my family. And so to check in with it now, as we release this version of it, is really beautiful and touching because that came to pass.”
Luka Cyprian
Yang shared that he now has a “really beautiful relationship” with his parents about his queerness, and that “is the resonance that the original movie has that I hope people can contextualize with what an amazing journey it is.”
Ahn’s iteration, of course, has made some major updates since Lee’s 1993 story. The new film ups the queerness level with Gi-Chan as Min, who wants to stay in America with boyfriend Chris but is at risk of being sent home to Korea after getting fired from his job by his grandmother (Youn Yuh-jung). When Min’s grandmother comes to visit the States, he and upstairs neighbor Angela (Tran) pretend to be engaged in fear of her traditional views. Angela, meanwhile, is battling her own relationship woes with partner Lee (Gladstone), as the pair have been experiencing multiple pregnancy losses amid IVF.
While poignant themes are woven all throughout The Wedding Banquet — generational divide, women’s health and queer identity, to name a few — it’s also chock-full of hijinks and fun, both of which drew Gladstone in.

“I’m very genre-agnostic. It’s about if I see myself in the character and a lot of times if it’s something I can challenge myself,” the Oscar nominee, 38, told Us at the L.A. premiere. “With that being said, with The Wedding Banquet, anybody who knows me and loves me and has watched it says this is the most Lily role that I’ve taken yet. It feels the most like hanging out with me, watching Lee. And I agree. In a lot of ways this comedy, this world, this loving, hilarious story feels very close to some origin.”
Another draw for Gladstone was the opportunity to star opposite “household name” Yang, who reminds her mother of the unborn son she lost to a miscarriage before getting pregnant with Gladstone.
“It sounds silly. [And I was like], ‘God, Andrew, don’t tell Bowen this. It’s too heavy. Too much pressure.’ But my mom had lost a baby before she got pregnant with me that she knew was gonna be a boy,” Gladstone shared exclusively with Us. “His name was going to be August. So we grew up, I grew up with this knowledge of who this boy was, and if he were here … I think the overlap, the timing didn’t work out. So I just felt his presence growing up and my mom and I would kind of acknowledge it and talk about him, who he would’ve been, how he would’ve been, what his sense of humor was, what he would’ve been good at.”
Gladstone said that she and her mother were watching Saturday Night Live when a sketch with Yang came on the screen and Gladstone’s mom immediately felt connected to him. “She’s like, ‘That’s my son. There he is,’” Gladstone recalled. “So I wanted to give my mom that gift of having both of her kids, her earthly body child, and her star baby on onscreen together.”
As for Tran — who publicly came out as queer in November 2024 — the allure of The Wedding Banquet was simple.
“I was just really excited to tell a queer story with a bunch of queer folks,” she told Us. “And I think that the film does such a good job of illuminating such a plethora of different queer experiences. That was the thing that I was really excited about.”
The Oscars of fashion! Over the years, Hollywood’s biggest names have showcased their winning red-carpet style at the annual Met Gala.
While each year the bold style statements prove to be even more innovative and eye-catching, some looks stand out among the rest.
Take Cher, for example. The “Believe” singer was a vision at the 1985 soirée, wearing a crystal-covered garment by iconic designer Bob Mackie. The look featured a sheer bodysuit and a low-rise skirt, which fit the “Costumes of Royal India” theme.
A few years later, Princess Diana attended the party of the year in a timeless blue slip dress. The 1996 ball was centered around Christian Dior, and the late royal was right on theme in one of the fashion house’s most effortless creations. Diana teamed the elegant number with her favorite sapphire and pearl choker necklace.
Fast-forward to 2004, when Scarlett Johansson made her debut at the celebration. The Black Widow star showed off her curves in a yellow Calvin Klein frock in support of the “Dangerous Liaisons: Fashion and Furniture in the 18th Century” vision. Amber Valletta also delivered drama that year, gracing the famous steps in a Victorian wig and a corset from Maggie Norris Couture.
As the years went by, A-list fashionistas began taking more risks at the glitzy event. In 2012, Beyoncénailed the “naked” trend for the “Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations” theme in a completely sheer gown from Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci. The piece was covered with sparkly black embroidery and finished with a purple feathered hem.
Of course, no one commands attention at the Met Ball quite like Rihanna. For 2015’s “China: Through the Looking Glass” gathering, the “Umbrella” artist nearly broke the internet when she arrived in a yellow, fur-lined cape. The custom confection took designer Guo Pei over 50,000 hours to create and weighed nearly 50 pounds.
At the time, Rihanna told Vanity Fair that she discovered Pei after researching Chinese couture online. “I’m so in love with this dress… I can’t really walk in it without any help — but it’s so worth it,” she added.
Rihanna proved once again she is a fashionable force to be reckoned with at the 2018 event. She captured the “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” theme perfectly in a Pope-inspired getup by Margiela.
Other standouts through the years include Kim Kardashian. In 2022, the reality star stirred controversy when she donned Marilyn Monroe’s historic “Happy Birthday Mr. President” dress. The late actress wore the crystal-covered number, created by Mackie, to serenade then-President John F. Kennedy in 1962.
While Kardashian, who attended the event with then-boyfriend Pete Davidson, slipped into a replica after taking photos, the moment still went down in modern-day fashion history.

Although the co-chair — who was styled by Law Roach — technically rocked three dresses throughout the night, we’re still swooning over the first two she wore. She initially wore a custom Maison Margiela by John Galliano masterpiece that featured a faux hummingbird, followed by a vintage Givenchy Haute Couture look from the label’s spring 1996 collection.
There was no shortage of glamour when it came to the supermodel’s ensemble: Her bespoke rose-encrusted, off-the-shoulder look from Thom Browne — which consisted of 2.8 million beads — took thousands of hours to create.
The Grammy-winning artist left Us speechless with her next-level, sculptural dress by Balmain that was crafted of actual sand. She committed to the theme by accessorizing the look with an hourglass-shaped purse, also by Balmain’s Creative Director, Olivier Rousteing.
The A Complete Unknown star made a shining statement in Balmain. The striking gown boasted a glassy finish and was complemented by exquisite Cartier earrings.
Archival angel! The supermodel and 818 Tequila founder was simply sensational in an enchanting 1999 Givenchy design, which she was the first to ever don.
Beautiful blooms! The Bear star honored the "Sleeping Beauty: Reawakening Fashion" and “The Garden of Time” themes in a floral-embellished Loewe number. The lace confection featured dreamy, handmade embroidery and a flattering halterneck.
The “I Like It” rapper nailed the “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty” theme, which celebrated the late Chanel creative director’s iconic career, in a black bubble gown by Chenpeng Studio. The velvet design featured a collared shirt — favored by the late designer — underneath a studded corset that flowed into a rose-adorned skirt.
The “Get Right” artist was the epitome of timeless glamour in Ralph Lauren. Her gown featured a halter neckline with an agape bodice that cascaded into a train behind her. The sexy masterpiece was completed with a baby pink satin skirt that clung to Lopez’s figure. She accessorized with black ballroom gloves and a netted fascinator that was reminiscent of vintage Chanel.
Kardashian covered her curves in a pearl-adorned dress by Schiaparelli. The custom design was made with over 50,000 real pearls that were strung in dangling layers. The TV personality told Vogue that the gems reminded her of Lagerfeld.
Hathaway paid homage to Lagerfeld and Chanel’s signature tweed aesthetic in a plunging, strapless dress by Versace. Hathaway’s crisp white garment featured an opening down the bodice that flowed into a high slit. The Princess Diaries star topped the look off with metallic platform heels.
The “Say So” singer sparkled onto the iconic steps in custom Oscar de la Renta. The figure-hugging gown was covered in metallic crystals and was equipped with a feathered hem. The look was finished with a cap that was adorned with cat ears. The California native complemented the garment by transforming into Lagerfeld’s beloved cat Choupette — thanks to prosthetics.
The Barbados native closed out the red carpet, arriving last with boyfriend ASAP Rocky. She blossomed on the steps in a floral cocoon before revealing her dainty white Valentino gown.
Lady in red! The Zero Dark Thirty actress perfectly embodied the Gilded Age and gave a nod to Hollywood glitz and glam in a custom red Gucci gown. She topped off the elegant look with Gucci High jewelry.
The Skims founder embodied Marilyn Monroe at the gala as she stepped out in the 1962 Bob Mackie gown that the Gentlemen Prefer Blondes actress famously wore to sing “Happy Birthday” to President John F. Kennedy. Kardashian revealed she lost 16 pounds in three weeks to squeeze into the vintage frock.
The English actress’ custom Gucci dress with Gucci High jewelry gave off major Great Gatsby vibes with its frills and fringe — making it Gilded Age approved.
Is she the only one that got it right? Billie Eilish slayed the Gilded Age theme when she donned a custom upcycled Gucci dress and vegan Gucci shoes with jewelry from Fred Leighton at the 2022 Met Gala.
Earning her place as co-chair, Blake Lively stunned in a dusty metallic rose Atelier Versace gown with a matching tiara. The Gossip Girl alum then flipped her dress tails halfway through the carpet to reveal a glitter pale blue gown with custom jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz and shoes by Christian Louboutin. The actress called her look an "homage to New York City" to match the Gilded Age 2022 Met Gala theme.
The singer's 2019 Met Gala ensemble was positively iconic. She debuted a Christian Siriano gown adorned with a deconstructed face featuring an actual blinking eye. Her accessories included Hanut Singh earrings and several oversized hats.
Three weeks after she and husband Ryan Reynolds announced they were expecting baby No. 2, the actress stepped out for her first red carpet in Burberry’s bodice-style gown.
The Wish I Was There actress shined in a custom, stretch tulle Michael Kors dress with an open back and hand-embroidered paillettes. She finished with an Edie Parker clutch and Charlotte Olympia shoes.
The Sex and the City alum’s Philip Treacy headpiece was just bold enough to steal the spotlight from her statement-making Giles Deacon gown and Christian Louboutin boots.
The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo actress stayed within her black palette in the one-shouldered Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci gown featuring a sheer lace skirt.
Saving the best for last! Beyoncé wrapped up the red carpet in the breathtaking gown with a dramatic feathered train by Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci.
RiRi kept her style simple in a black snakeprint Tom Ford gown and minimal makeup for the "Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations" theme.
American woman! Lively opted for a bright Marchesa dress that showed off her enviable legs for the gala’s "American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity" theme.
Biel did anything but blend into the red carpet with her dramatic Atelier Versace gown for the night’s theme of "The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion."
The model, who co-hosted the evening, played up her assets with the open-back, minidress designed by her date, Marc Jacobs, and matching Stephen Jones headpiece.
Simpson channeled a sexy señorita in a red floral gown worn with intricate chandelier earrings and an equally stunning braided updo for the year’s "House of Chanel" theme.
Evangelista, in Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture, and Valletta, in Maggie Norris Courture and John Galliano skirt, embraced the "Dangerous Liaisons: Fashion and Furniture in the 18th Century" theme.
If there’s anyone who knows how to make a bomber jacket look ultra cool, it’s Hailey Bieber. The style icon is always on our fashion mood board, especially when it comes to her off-duty looks. On April 14, she stepped out wearing a seriously sleek bomber jacket — and this $46 option can recreate the look for less!
While out in Los Angeles, the Rhode Beauty founder was spotted wearing one of her signature high-low outfits. While many of us wouldn’t naturally think to pair a bomber jacket with a baseball cap, gym shorts and a loafers and socks combo, the comfy-chic styling left us inspired. Now, we want to wear the look as well, especially after spotting an affordable version of Bieber’s jacket on Amazon.
The Automet Oversized Faux Leather Bomber Jacket channels Bieber’s It-girl energy without a designer price tag. Similar to the style queen’s pick, the oversized design includes a collar, side pockets and a zip-up front. It’s also made of a faux leather material mixed with cotton and polyester, giving it that sleek outerwear look.
To nail Bieber’s aesthetic, you can shop the Amazon jacket in black, which will also ensure it’s easy to mix and match. However, the same piece is available in brown if you’re looking for a lighter neutral. Shoppers will be able to choose between several sizes, ranging from S to XXL.
Bieber isn’t the only one gravitating toward an edgy, oversized bomber jacket. Automet’s version was purchased over 200 times in the last month, proving that it makes a great lightweight layer for the spring and even fall months as well.
Though this jacket has a casual-meets-edgy feel, it will work for a range of aesthetics. Some pieces we’d pair it with? A tank top, jeans, heels and elevated sunglasses — the ideal outfit for Friday drinks with the girls. But the outfit ideas don’t stop there. It would also work with a mini skirt or be given a boho spin, layered over a long white maxi skirt or a floral dress.
Contemplating a new bomber jacket but want to look through more options? Or maybe you’d prefer something a bit more cropped? Browse through our other favorite picks below before making your final buy.
Netflix, Hulu, Disney+ and Max are great streaming platforms — but they all come with a hefty price tag. If you’re trying to “cut the cord” by using streaming as your main entertainment resource, you’re not saving much by paying for every streamer under the sun.
But there are some underrated streaming platforms like Pluto, Tubi and Roku that will let you watch movies for free. (Usually with ads, but most of the streamers have those too nowadays.)
This weekend, check out these free offerings from Pluto, Tubi, and Roku.
‘The Cabin in the Woods’ (2011)
Five friends (Chris Hemsworth, Jesse Williams, Anna Hutchison, Fran Kranz, and Kristen Connolly) head to a remote cabin for a weekend of fun and frivolity. But the cabin is hiding dark and murderous secrets. Sound familiar?
This horror comedy is a clever twist on the slasher genre, calling out the tropes that scary movies have leaned on for decades. Richard Jenkins and Bradley Whitford play two lab technicians manipulating the college kids in the cabin for a mysterious purpose. You’ll laugh and scream at this surprising, smart movie and the final explanation for the film’s events is so cunningly creative, it will make you glad you came along for the ride.
“Bring us a shrubbery!,” “She turned me into a newt!” and “‘Tis but a scratch!” are just a few of the endlessly quotable lines from this movie that will stick with you forever once you watch it. British comedy troupe Monty Python (And Now For Something Completely Different, Monty Python’s Flying Circus) puts their own hilarious spin on the story of King Arthur (Graham Chapman) and his quest for the Holy Grail. As Arthur gathers his Knights of the Round Table and seeks the Grail, he encounters viciously rude Frenchmen, the irritating Knights Who Say “Ni!” and a peculiarly bloodthirsty rabbit.
Widely considered one of the greatest comedies of all time, Monty Python and the Holy Grail is simply unmissable. Here’s a tip: don’t skip the opening credits — and keep an eye out for aggressive moose.
Based on the bestselling Judy Blume novel of the same name, this coming-of-age movie follows preteen Margaret (Abby Ryder Fortson) as she navigates puberty and growing up. The daughter of a Jewish father (Benny Safdie) and a Christian mother (Rachel McAdams) who have chosen to raise her without religion, Margaret sets out to discover her identity after her family moves from New York City to the suburbs. Separated from her beloved Grandma Sylvia (Kathy Bates) and trying to make new friends, she begins confiding in God about her thoughts and worries.
Blume’s book became synonymous with teenage girlhood for a reason, and that’s because the story is moving and funny. Despite its 1970 setting, Are You There God? is relatable to anyone who can understand the trials of puberty. Fortson’s acting ability belies her young age as she deftly conveys Margaret’s complex emotions. McAdams is touchingly vulnerable as a mother trying to adjust to suburban life. Together, they make a simple, beautiful story about growing up
Watch Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret. on Roku.
Met Gala mania! Each year, the annual soirée encourages Hollywood’s finest to make an unforgettable appearance that coincides with the theme of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute.

And you could hardly see Solange Knowles’ head peeking out of her structured Giles dress.

The “Say So” singer channeled Karl Lagerfeld’s beloved cat, Choupette, when she wore cat-like face prosthetics on the red carpet. She teamed this with a hooded beaded white gown featuring a feathered train and pointed cat ears.
Leto took the "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty" theme literally and dressed up as Karl Lagerfeld’s cat, Choupette. He wore a white fur cat costume, complete with a matching cat head featuring blue eyes, ears and a pink nose.
Monae turned heads in a black and white structured coat, which she wore over a black tiered gown that flared out dramatically to the sides. She later removed her coat and lifted up her dress to reveal a pair of black briefs underneath.

Haunting! The Proud Family actor sported a denim gold embroidered Casablanca suit for the 2022 Met Gala's Gilded Age theme, accessorized with white contacts and vampire-fanged teeth.
Badu paired a long white fringe dress with a matching fringe headpiece that nearly covered her entire face. She accessorized the outlandish look with layered gold necklaces, chunky silver rings and white platform heels.
The California native started dating Cindy Silva in 1975 while they attended California State University, Fullerton. The pair tied the knot three years later and went on to welcome three little ones — Annie, Lily and Joe — born in 1984, 1986 and 1988, respectively. After 16 years of marriage, the pair called it quits in 1994.
Costner moved on with Bridget Rooney following his and Silva’s split, and the model gave birth to their son, Liam, in 1996.
The Golden Globe winner went on to date political activist Birgit Cunningham, and model Elle Macpherson before beginning his relationship with handbag designer Christine Baumgartner.
Costner married the former model in September 2004, with the pair tying the knot at his Aspen, Colorado, ranch — but they briefly spit ahead of their nuptials. The pair welcomed son Cayden three years after their wedding ceremony, followed by Hayes in 2009 and Grace in 2010.
In May 2023, Us Weekly confirmed Baumgartner filed for divorce from Costner after nearly 19 years of marriage. Their divorce was finalized in February 2024.
Costner' eldest child was born in April 1984. She has acted in Waterworld and Dances With Wolves. Annie married Dr. Danny Cox in 2016. They share two children, Cayden and Hayes, born in 2007 and 2009, respectively.
Lily is the second of Costner’s children with first wife Silva. She was born in August 1986. The singer and her father cowrote "Heaven's Gate" in 2020.
While Young joined the cast of the Netflix reality series for season 6, which premiered in May 2023, her relationship with Oppenheim started and ended long before her reality TV debut.
“[Nicole] dated Jason [10 years ago] — she was the first,” Amanza Smith exclusively revealed to Us Weekly in August 2022. “I’ve known her for 10 years and she’s amazing. She’s not new to me. I’m just very glad that she’s finally on the show with us and we get to spend more time with her in the office because I adore Nicole.”
Despite being a late addition to Selling Sunset, Young is an original member of The Oppenheim Group. “I’m the OG … original girlfriend,” she quipped during a season 6 episode of the series. The realtor — who has been married to Brandon Young since 2017 — referred to Oppenheim as the “best broker in the biz” in a March 2019 Instagram post.
Young isn’t the only ex with whom Oppenheim has maintained an amicable personal and professional relationship. In season 1 of Selling Sunset, which premiered in March 2019, the attorney hosted an engagement party for his ex Mary Fitzgerald and her now-husband, Romain Bonnet.
The exes were an item in 2014 for “six months to a year,” the Oppenheim Group founder recalled during a season 1 episode of the reality series. He added that he and Fitzgerald — who has worked for his real estate agency since 2014 — “were good friends before [they dated] and we’re much closer now.”
The real estate mogul and Stause, meanwhile, were friends and coworkers before they went public with their romance in July 2021. When the Kentucky native joined the Oppenheim Group in 2018, she had recently married Justin Hartley. (The former spouses called it quits in 2019 and finalized their split in February 2021.)
Oppenheim exclusively told Us in November 2021 that his friendship with Stause provided a great basis for their romantic relationship.
“We had been so open about what we were looking for with each other because we had become close friends,” he shared at the time. “She knew my dating life, and we would almost joke about each other’s dating lives and what we were looking for and things like that.”
One month after Oppenheim dished to Us about his romance with the Days of Our Lives alum, the duo split just before Christmas 2021. However, they didn’t let the breakup sour their dynamic as pals.
“Chrishell and I started off close friends before we were together, and we’re back, we’re in a great place,” Oppenheim told E! News in July 2022. “I think we’re both really happy right now, and we get along really well.”
Stause has since moved on with G Flip and the pair tied the knot in May 2023.
Keep scrolling for a look at Oppenheim’s dating history:
Fitzgerald and Oppenheim dated for about a year in 2014. “We had a lingering kind of period,” Fitzgerald said during a season 1 episode of Selling Sunset, noting that the twosome took a while to split for good. “We lived together.”
Stause and Oppenheim went public with their relationship in July 2021, but by December, their whirlwind romance had ended. Later that month, the Eve of Abduction actress confirmed they called it quits due to Oppenheim not wanting children.
“Jason was and is my best friend, and other than our ideas for family ultimately not being aligned, the amount of respect and love we have for each other will not change going forward,” she wrote via Instagram at the time.
The businessman and the model were first linked in July 2022 when they were spotted kissing in Mykonos, Greece. In May 2023, the pair confirmed they had split after less than one year of dating.
"While we still love and care about each other very much, the distance between us has proven to be too great a challenge to overcome,” they wrote in a joint statement shared via their respective Instagram pages. “We remain close friends and continue to talk often and support each other and we want the very best for one another. We thank everyone for their support throughout our relationship.”
In April 2025, Oppenheim made his new relationship with Jessica Vargas red carpet official.
The Selling Sunset star walked the red carpet with the real estate agent at the Los Angeles premiere of The Accountant 2.
According to her real estate profile, Vargas is a realtor at The Oppenheim Group and “represents clients from the Valley, West Hollywood, to Malibu, Beverly Hills and beyond.”
While it’s unclear if Vargas will be part of Selling Sunset season 9, her profile states she enjoys spending time with family, friends and her two dogs when not working.
Kim Kardashian has captivated the world’s attention at not one, but 11 Met Gala red carpets (and counting).
The Kardashians star made her debut on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City during the 2013 gala. At the time she was the plus-one of her then-husband, Kanye West, who was performing at the event. Kardashian was also pregnant with their first child, daughter North. (The exes, who were married from 2014 to 2022, also share daughter Chicago and sons Saint and Psalm.)
In 2015, the reality star channeled her inner Cher glowing in a Roberto Cavalli original. The designer used sheer crystal embroidery and feather detailing to create the stunning white gown with a lengthy train.
As Kardashian became a regular attendee of the New York City soirée, she opted for bolder — and even controversial — selections. In 2022, she faced backlash after she borrowed Marilyn Monroe’s famous Jean Louis gown for the spectacle. The historical slip dress, which the iconic movie star wore when she sang “Happy Birthday” to President John F. Kennedy in 1962, was loaned to Kardashian by Ripley’s Believe It or Not! for the occasion. The reality star went on a strict diet to ensure the dress would fit, losing 16 pounds in three weeks.
The reality star attended her first Met Gala while she was pregnant with North. Kardashian rocked a floral print turtleneck gown with gloved sleeves designed by Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy.
Kardashian glowed like a goddess in the gold Versace gown which featured embroidered crosses to match the theme “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.”
The California native looked like she stepped out of the sea when she arrived at the red carpet in a custom skin-tight nude garment from Thierry Mugler. Kardashian and the late designer went for the “wet look” with damp-looking hair and a water droplet-inspired manicure.
The businesswoman made headlines for her controversial choice to wear the iconic gown donned by Monroe during her sultry “Happy Birthday” performance to President Kennedy in 1962.
When it came to honoring the late fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld for her 2023 Met Gala look, Kardashian told Vogue she knew she “wanted pearls.” She did just that with a custom Schiaparelli dress featuring 50,000 real pearls and strings of jewels. The outfit — which was reminiscent of her 2007 Playboy shoot — also consisted of a white coat with a train and a bejeweled diamond and pearl necklace.
Kardashian proved to have a barely-there waist in a silver Maison Margiela dress with a leafy design. She elevated the strapless number, which exposed her legs, with a cropped gray cardigan. On the red carpet, she told Vogue that she wanted her getup to look like “the wildest night of my life in a garden and I just ran out and grabbed my boyfriend’s sweater and threw it on and had to get to work” She added, “And my hair is all messed up.”
Bachelor alum Caila Quinn is pushing back on the rumors that her husband, Nick Burrello, cheated on her.
Quinn, 33, jumped into the comments on a TikTok video that laid out the allegations, quickly dispelling any notion that Burrello had been unfaithful during “one of his business trips.”
“WTF is this…” she wrote on Wednesday, April 16 alongside a laughing emoji. “This isn’t true. And my husband doesn’t go on business trips. This is a joke. No one believe these rumors. This is FALSE.”
The video’s creator, @wellnessgurl, replied by doubling down on her accusation.
“So sorry girl,” she wrote. “You should look into the post — it has pictures, texts and videos.”
Courtesy of Wellness Gurl/TikTok
Quinn, who was the second runner-up on Ben Higgins’ season of The Bachelor, has not yet responded to the reply. Us Weekly reached out to comment.
In the video, the creator outlined a series of accusations against Burrello, saying he cheated on Quinn with “a couple different people.”
“There are posts and threads deep in the world of Bachelor Reddit that talk about Caila Quinn’s husband cheating on her,” she said. “The post was made by somebody that he was seeing. In a sense they were texting with each other. It was a relationship over text. He met this person on Grindr and he is dating a trans woman.”
“You can see the text threads being exchanged between them that she knows that it is Nick Burrello and she even addresses it,” she continued. “He talks a lot about his wife and him kind of struggling with doing something behind her back. They actively make plans to meet up when he’s on one of his business trips.”
She concluded, “In the text threads, Nick also admits this is not the first time he’s cheated on Caila. It’s very sad to report this but I think he needs to be called out. It’s already public information so please don’t come after me for this. It’s very unfortunate for the kids that are involved in this but you know I don’t think he even cared or thought about it or the consequences of that.”
Quinn and Burrello married in 2021 and share children Teddi, 2, and Christian, 7 months. Shortly before welcoming Teddi in 2023, Quinn opened up to Us Weekly about how “caring” Burrello has been throughout her pregnancy.
“He has been unbelievably thoughtful — with back massages and an ice-cold Yeti full of water before bed,” she said. “Just the other day he had to shower in a slippery tub and he asked me if I wanted him to hold my hand as I showered so I wouldn’t slip and fall too. And it just reminds me that I am so lucky to have him as a partner.”
Drew Carey and OnlyFans star Niki Skyler were recently spotted together but the pair have a history.
Carey, 66, and Skyler, 37, grabbed lunch at Swingers Diner in Los Angeles on Thursday, April 17, according to photos obtained by The Daily Mail. The Price Is Right host kept it casual by sporting a navy plaid shirt, dark jeans and sneakers. The model opted for a black tank top and baggy pants.
The twosome’s outing quickly fueled romance rumors, but a source exclusively tells Us Weekly that Carey and Skyler’s connection is platonic and goes way back.
“They are just friends and have been friends for a long time,” the insider says, noting that Carey and Skyler have known each other for around 10 years.
Earlier this year, Carey told Us that he wasn’t looking for a romantic partner after the death of ex-fiancée Amie Harwick. Carey and Harwick got engaged in 2018 but called it quits later that year. Following their breakup, the twosome remained friends. In 2020, Harwick was murdered at age 38. Her ex-boyfriend Gareth Pursehouse pleaded not guilty but was convicted of her murder in 2023. He was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
“It destroyed me for a while. I still don’t date,” Carey told Us exclusively in February. “I have women I go out with and spend time with, but it’s all platonic, and I don’t care about anything else. Amie’s death really affected everything.”

Following Harwick’s funeral, several of her friends reached out to Carey to tell him that she truly “loved” and “cared” for him.
“I was so moved by it. They’ve now become some of my best friends,” he recalled. “I also got to reconnect with her mother, father and brother. We held each other up through the funeral and the trial. Now Amie’s memory and the things she lived for keep us going.”
As Carey continues to navigate life without Harwick, he has a close-knit group of friends to count on and help him through the tough times.
“I have this great female friend group that I cherish, and I’m godfather to several sets of kids from the group,” he shared. “We hang out together, went on vacation together and we talk to each other every day. That’s the biggest blessing in my life right now.”
Skyler, for her part, has kept her love life low-key. However, when she was named Penthouse’s Pet of the Month in April 2017, she revealed that she is bisexual.
“I actually check out women more than men,” she told the outlet while noting she likes “having sex with men more than women.”
RuPaul’s Drag Race has been around for 17 seasons now, spawning numerous spinoffs, live shows and global editions, but that doesn’t mean the show’s contestants aren’t still surprised by what happens in the Werk Room.
“I didn’t know it was going to be so hard,” season 17 finalistOnya Nurve exclusively told Us Weekly ahead of the Friday, April 18, finale. “We all do drag part-time or full-time outside of the show. It’s like drag boot camp. It’s like drag two-a-days. It is longer, it is more intense and it’s not as easy as it looks. I think that was the biggest surprise for me.”
Onya’s fellow finalist Sam Star agreed, joking that the show’s title is more fitting than she ever knew.
“When it’s called RuPaul’s Drag Race, I didn’t realize that that is so accurate, that it’s so fast,” she explained. “You don’t have time to think, really. Your first idea is your only idea, ’cause there’s no time to think for the second idea. It seems so easy, and I was definitely the girl who sat at home and read everybody down and was like, ‘Girl, why would you do that?’ But now doing it, I get it. So everybody at home, I’m sorry for reading y’all. The former girls, I get it now. It was very hard.”
The remaining finalists, Lexi Love and Jewels Sparkles, echoed those sentiments, telling Us they were surprised by the breakneck pace of filming.
“It really is a race,” Lexi told Us. “It’s very regimented. It’s a surprise. And the girls really are — they say we’re like the Olympics of drag. Those girls are Olympians. It takes a mental fortitude to do this.”

Jewels, for her part, says she has a “new respect” for anyone who’s ever been in the Werk Room. “Everything happens so fast, you don’t have time to think,” she added. “It’s an instinct game. It’s whoever’s best at following their instincts, because that’s all you have in there.”
That’s not to say that no fun was had during season 17. All four finalists had the judges in stitches during Snatch Game, with Onya winning the challenge as Eddie Murphy. She told Us she hasn’t heard from the comedian about her impression, but she’s still holding out hope.
“I am dying to get an [Instagram] follow from Eddie Murphy, a message from Eddie Murphy,” she said. “I am Eddie Murphy’s biggest fan and I killed him on Snatch Game. I was a perfect representation. Hit me up, Eddie! I love you and I know you love me too.”
Sam also hasn’t heard from QVC personality Kim Gravel, but she’s ready to link up — and collaborate.
“If you do see this, Kim, I love you,” Sam told Us. “Please reach out to me because we have to collab. The kids would love it. And I was a huge fan of your show. Still a huge fan of the QVC line!”
The season 17 finale of RuPaul’s Drag Race airs on MTV Friday, April 18, at 8 p.m. ET.
After the City and County of Denver Medical Examiner confirmed the singer died from an opioid overdose on March 10, Cook is shining a light on his private struggles away from the stage.
“He has a long history of drug abuse,” Cook exclusively shared with Us Weekly on Thursday, April 17. “He had dabbled in a few different things, but all of this is kind of shocking,” she added, referring to the latest reports that her ex’s death was ruled an accident due to the combined toxic effects of fentanyl, methadone and amphetamines, with recent cocaine use.
Kiker and Cook, who broke up four years ago, share two daughters together. After their split, Cook moved the kids to Florida while Kiker ended up in Denver, Colorado. (She has since moved back to Alabama.)
At the time of Kiker’s death in March, Cook said she was notified by an investigator that he died of a drug-induced heart attack and was in a hospital in Denver. On March 12, Kiker’s sisters confirmed his death on Facebook. He was 32.

“I don’t know if he had a cell phone,” Cook shared. “He never reached out, and he never tried to support [his kids]. Because of the history, I never reached out. I thought it was safer for the kids.”
Kiker rose to fame when he appeared on season 18 of American Idolin 2020. During his experience on the show, the singer performed a soulful rendition of Rascal Flatts’ “Bless the Broken Road.”
Although he was eliminated during the live shows, he received support from the judges, including Luke Bryan and Katy Perry, who was brought to tears during his audition.
“For a man who has no idea what his voice can do, for a man who has no idea what key he’s singing in, for a man who has no idea who the heck he can be, he’s here to do one thing: He’s trying to show his daughter that he’s somebody,” judge Lionel Richie said after his audition. “I want us all to let you know, you’re a hell of a man.”
When looking back on his fame from Idol, on which he was affectionately nicknamed “The Singing Garbage Man,” Cook said, “He enjoyed it and liked it and all the attention from it.”
Drug addiction, however, made his path to singing success difficult.
“He just wouldn’t stop doing [what] he was doing to pursue it further,” Cook said. “He had the means to do so and had people behind him supporting him. The drugs were just getting in the way.”
The late musician’s siblings have since launched a GoFundMe campaign to help cover funeral expenses.
“He was sooo loved and will be missed by so many!” the singer’s sister Angela Evans wrote via Facebook. “You’re singing with the angels now Bubba. Please pray for our family as we go [through] this very difficult time.”
