Despite helping to launch one of the most popular film franchises in recent years, Ashley Greene didn’t make major bucks for her role in the first Twilight movie.
“At the time, I thought it was a lot. But no, I think we had Schedule F,” Greene, 38, told host Michael Rosenbaum on the Tuesday, April 8, episode of the “Inside of You” podcast, noting that her salary was around $65,000.
Schedule F is a type of contract signed by actors guaranteeing them a minimum set salary for their involvement in a project, regardless of the number of days they worked. While Greene didn’t go into deeper detail about her salary, the pay she received for her role as Alice Cullen in the 2008 movie is far less than the approximately $2 million Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson reportedly made for their leading roles as Bella Swan and Edward Cullen, respectively.
On the podcast, Greene did confirm that her salary increased as the franchise went on, though some supporting characters still made more than her on the initial Twilight film. “Peter Facinelli … because he had been established,” she shared. “But all of the people who hadn’t done much [got paid less].”
Greene portrayed Alice in all five of the Twilight films, including 2009’s New Moon, 2010’s Eclipse, 2011’s Breaking Dawn – Part 1, and 2012’s Breaking Dawn – Part 2. Launching into stardom at a young age is something Greene said helped bring her and her costars closer together.
“When you’re a part of something like that, there’s a bond there. You’re the only people in the world who know what you’re going through, and so I think that created a really special bond for all of us,” she said on the podcast. “And we would, by the second one, couldn’t really leave our apartments. And so, we would just stay in. Rob would play guitar. Jackson [Rathbone] would play or sing. Nikki [Reed] kind of sang sometimes. We would play games, we would drink, we would hang out indoors.”
The actress even said that she will only attend fan conventions with her former Twilight costars “’cause it’s a lot more fun,” adding, “I see them now quite often. But before that, it had been years because everyone was in a different part of the world and then people started having kids. And so, it does make it harder to keep in touch. Most of them I’m still in touch with.”

Though the Twilight films opened many doors for Greene, she also said it led her to become typecast. “When you play a vampire, they’re like, ‘Oh, she can play a vampire. Put her in this one,’” she shared. “So, we turned down a lot.”
The actress also recalled feeling the pressure of fame during the series’ peak popularity. “I do remember going, ‘Oh, this isn’t as fun as it was, because every move I made mattered all of a sudden. And any job you take, like, ‘This could be a misstep and this has to be right. And you can’t be seen with this person, and you should be at this event,’” she explained. “And so, I do remember going like, ‘This is a lot.’ I used to have a lot more fun auditioning. And now, everything was big. What I was going out for, everything would be such an epic opportunity to be a part of.”
She added, “It took a while, but [I] figure[d] out how to actually have fun again with what I was doing.”
Back in September 2023, Greene exclusively told Us Weekly that she thought she was going to “die” after she started suffering panic attacks during a Twilight press tour. “The first time I had a panic attack, it was right before I was going to do my first cover photo shoot. It was right when the press tour was happening with Twilight and I was terrified,” she revealed.
Greene went on to credit her husband, Paul Khoury, with being a “really huge part of my mental health journey.” She told Us, “It’s gotten to a point [where] as soon as I start feeling … these things bubble up, before I get to that point, I’m like, ‘Hey, listen, I’m feeling very overwhelmed about this. These are the 90 things I have going on.’”
Weezer have earned a reputation as one of rock music’s most divisive bands.
While singer Rivers Cuomo and various incarnations of the Los Angeles–based group have unquestionably been successful (with 35 million records sold worldwide), the quality of their music and their public image have been intensely debated throughout their 30-year career.
The “Hash Pipe” band’s legacy is filled with lineup changes, extended hiatuses and feuds with other iconic bands, all while cementing their place in rock history with 1996’s influential album Pinkerton and a late-career Grammy win in 2009 after largely being snubbed throughout their career.
Weezer band members have faced their fair share of drama away from the stage too, including bassist Scott Shriner’s wife, Jillian Lauren, being arrested in April 2025 following a shootout with Los Angeles police.

Early Lineup Changes

Cuomo founded Weezer in Los Angeles in 1992 along with bassist Matt Sharp, rhythm guitarist Jason Cropper and drummer Patrick Wilson.
This incarnation of the group only lasted for a year, as Cropper left during the recording of the group’s 1994 self-titled debut album (a.k.a. The Blue Album). Brian Bell replaced Cropper and remains with Weezer to this day.
Cropper told Addicted to Noise in 1997 that he exerted a strong creative influence in Weezer’s early days, which led to a clash with Cuomo.
“I was in Weezer from the beginning, and even before that, in the pre-Weezer bands. A lot of what is on that first Weezer album was me,” Cropper claimed. “I can hear on the second one how it went from being a collaborative effort to being a [Rivers-led] thing. The parts of Weezer that were acoustic guitar–based on the first one are me, that was my influence and, for a while, we were all on the same page. We all liked Morrissey, The Beatles and The Beach Boys, but where Rivers’ roots come more from the Kiss direction, mine are more from The Who. He’s more into Brian Wilson and I’m more into Pete Townshend.”
The Blue Album was eventually certified platinum five times by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Cropper’s departure from Weezer was largely amicable, but the same can’t be said for bassist Sharp’s acrimonious split from the band in 1998.
Sharp was ousted from the group in 1998 following creative clashes with other members and later filed a lawsuit against Weezer in 2002. The musician claimed he was owed royalties from cowriting the hit track “Undone – The Sweater Song” as well contributing to nine songs on their 1996 album, Pinkerton. The lawsuit was eventually settled out of court.
He confirmed to Alternative Press that he was “fired” by the other members of Weezer, yet he has been reluctant to discuss what exactly led to his departure.
“I don’t really know how to speak on this because I don’t know what should be kept private and what should be shared,” Sharp said in 2016. “I certainly have my view of it, as I’m sure everybody else has their sort of foggy things. When you have a group that doesn’t communicate, you’re going to have a whole lot of different stories.”
Sharp was replaced by bassist Mikey Welsh in 1998.
‘Pinkerton’ Controversies

Weezer’s second album was met with withering reviews initially, with some critics complaining that Pinkerton was “sloppy” and “juvenile.”Pinkerton found the group grappling with themes of alienation and disillusionment with their early success, which may not have been entirely relatable to listeners at the time.
Cuomo was notoriously critical of Pinkerton, calling it a “hideous record” that he regretted releasing.
“It was such a hugely painful mistake that happened in front of hundreds of thousands of people and continues to happen on a grander and grander scale and just won’t go away,” he said in 2001. “It’s like getting really drunk at a party and spilling your guts in front of everyone and feeling incredibly great and cathartic about it, and then waking up the next morning and realizing what a complete fool you made of yourself.”
However, Pinkerton found a new generation of supporters in the 2000s, as many Weezer fans now regard it as the band’s masterpiece. The record was certified platinum in 2016 and ranked No. 48 on Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Albums of the ’90s list in 2019.
Pinkerton draws its title from a character in the opera Madame Butterfly, who Cuomo described as an “a**hole American sailor similar to a touring rock star.”
Some contemporary criticism centers around how Cuomo wrote about his attraction to Asian women on the album. The singer acknowledged to MTV that he did draw inspiration from several “disastrous encounters with half-Japanese girls” and thus wasn’t proud of some of Pinkerton’s lyrics.
“It developed into disastrous encounters with Asian girls of all sorts. Yeah, I suppose it’s fair to say that I’m fascinated by Asian girls,” he said in 1996. “For some reason, they’re particularly beautiful to me. I don’t know why. And when I became aware of that and also the fact that it was the masculine part of myself that I was learning about in these songs, I remembered the story of Madame Butterfly and the story of the character Pinkerton in that opera.”
Cuomo admitted, “Pinkerton is the ultimate character representing male id who goes to Japan as an American sailor and hooks up with this 15-year-old Japanese girl and gets her pregnant and then abandons her. He’s thoroughly despicable. But I can’t deny that there’s some of that in me.”
Extended Hiatus

Pinkerton’s initial commercial and critical failure took its toll on Weezer, leading to them going on an extended break between 1997 and 2001. Cuomo enrolled in classes at Harvard University in 1997 as a way to detox from the music industry.
Cuomo told Guitar World that taking breaks from Weezer — he’d first attended Harvard for a stretch after The Blue Album’s release in 1994 — were a necessity following the intense scrutiny around their early exploits.
“I knew it was what I had to do, creatively,” he said. “I had to take time off and do nothing except be by myself and think and read and write songs. And I can’t do any of that when I’m on the road because I’m having fun — there’s nothing to write songs about. But as soon as I get off the road and I’m in school, I’m lonely and miserable. Then I start writing.”
Cuomo insisted that both his bandmates and their record label were largely supportive of his decision to temporarily walk away from Weezer.
“When you think about it, the normal thing to do when you’re done touring behind an album is to take time off and write songs for the next one. That’s all I did,” he said. “If I hadn’t gone to school — if I had stayed in Los Angeles and hung out at the Viper Room and partied — I surely wouldn’t have written the songs on Pinkerton, and the songs I would have written probably would have sucked. I wouldn’t have found the inspiration.”
Weezer reformed in 2001 with Cuomo, drummer Wilson, guitarist Bell and new bassist Shriner.
‘Africa’ Cover

Weezer had a viral hit with its 2018 cover of the Toto classic “Africa,” as the remake surprisingly became their first No. 1 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart since 2008’s “Pork and Beans.” The cover came about after a lengthy social media campaign where fans encouraged Weezer to record their own version of the 1982 hit.
Toto initially responded with good humor by covering Weezer’s 2001 hit “Hash Pipe,” but their guitarist Steve Lukather told New and Improved in 2025 that he wasn’t entirely flattered.
“I don’t know about [Cuomo] loving the song, man,” Lukather said. “I don’t think that’s the case at all. I think he did it to take the piss out of it and it blew up in his face and now he’s got to play it every night.”
The musician went on, “I tried to reach out to this guy and be friendly and then it just got weird. I don’t want to get into it, but peace and love. It was good for them, it was good for us.”
Broadway Show Failure

Weezer couldn’t quite parlay the viral success of “Africa” into ambitious plans for a Broadway residency a few years later.
The musicians were set to headline a week-long SZNZ: In Residence on Broadway event at New York City’s Main Stem in September 2022, but the entire concert series was canceled due to low ticket sales one month before opening night.
“I just learned that our Broadway shows have been cancelled (due to low ticket sales and unbelievably high expenses),” Cuomo wrote on Weezer’s Discord server in August 2022. “I’m very sorry to be telling you this now after we’ve already invested so much time, thought, and emotion. Extra apologies to those of you who cleared schedules and made travel plans to be with us. Thanks to @Broadway Producer for all your hard work and great ideas. I loved where we were going and I hope we can find a way to resurrect our vision.”
Weezer ultimately scrapped any plans for a revamped stint on Broadway.
Jillian Lauren Arrest

In April 2025, Shriner’s wife, Lauren, was involved in a shootout with Los Angeles police after being confronted by LAPD officers outside of her home.
An LAPD statement confirmed, “The officers ordered [Lauren] to drop the handgun numerous times. However, she refused. [Lauren] then pointed the handgun at the officers and an Officer-Involved Shooting occurred.”
Lauren, a true crime author, was “struck by gunfire and fled into her residence,” according to the LAPD. She was eventually arrested when investigators determined she had suffered a “non-life-threatening gunshot wound.”
She was released from custody on $1 million bond after being booked for attempted murder on April 9 and ordered to attend a court hearing on April 30.
Five weeks before her arrest, Lauren confirmed via Instagram that she was undergoing cancer treatment at the Adventist Health Glendale hospital.
“I’m here to thank the incredible oncology team here, who pulled me through a complicated operation without a hitch,” she wrote. “I am always so grateful for every second of the compassionate and excellent medical care I receive in my life.”
Nearly seven years after Roseanne Barr’s character was killed off on The Conners, Us Weekly got an exclusive look at the actress’ private life in Texas. Barr’s son Jake Pentland revealed that she is living with him and his wife, calling Barr “the best grandma” to their two daughters. Barr has enjoyed her quality time with her grandchildren on the family’s 30 acres of “lush” property. “Roseanne also drives the tractor often, which allows her to mow the lawn. She drives around,” Pentland told Us. “She occasionally runs into trees, but just keeps the yard up.” The mother-son duo are also collaborating on “a weekly podcast,” but Pentland hinted that fans might catch another glimpse of Barr on the small screen, teasing, “You never know.” Keep reading below for more hot stories:

Weezer bassist Scott Shriner and his wife, true crime authorJillian Lauren, have had their fair share of ups and downs while living in Los Angeles with their two kids.
Prior to their marriage, Lauren, worked as a call girl for Prince Jefri Bolkiah of the Brunei royal family, writing about her experience in her 2010 memoir “Some Girls: My Life in a Harem.” Shriner, meanwhile, joined Weezer in 2001 after spending time in the marines and touring with Vanilla Ice’s backing band.
The pair tied the knot in 2005. Two decades later in March 2025, Lauren revealed she had been diagnosed with an undisclosed for of cancer. One month later, she was arrested on an attempted murder charge after allegedly firing a handgun at a Los Angeles Police Department officer. She was released on $1million bond.
“On April 8, 2025, around 3:25 p.m., the California Highway Patrol requested a backup locating three misdemeanor hit-and-run suspects, who fled into a residential neighborhood,” a Wednesday, April 9, press release reads. “As the officers were in the rear yard of that residence, they observed a female, later identified as 51-year-old Jillian Shriner, in the yard of a neighboring residence armed with a handgun.”
Neither Shriner nor Lauren addressed the arrest at the time.

The couple adopted son Tariku Moon from Ethiopia. Lauren later opened up about her fertility struggles in a 2015 post for her Motherhood Later blog, explaining how it led her and Shriner to adoption.
“On paper, I might not be considered the best candidate for motherhood,” she wrote. “My husband Scott and I had a long and circuitous road to parenting, including the whole painful infertility thing. We eventually found the right path for us and adopted our son [Tariku] from Ethiopia.”
Shriner and Lauren adopted Jovanni “Jovi” Starshine, growing their family to four.
“I’ve been holding on to dozens of pictures these last 8 months and now that it’s all final Jovi can go ahead and break the Internet. ” Shriner wrote via Instagram at the time.
“We believed in you from the minute we looked into the depths your sparkling, huge eyes,” Lauren wrote to Jovi on his “gotcha” day. “My heart still kvells every time I see them peeking up from behind the couch, where you like to hide and wait for us to find you. There is nothing in this world as wildly sweet as watching those eyes open when you wake.”
Lauren revealed in March 2025 that she has been battling cancer, posting a photo of herself via Instagram lying in a hospital bed while smiling and giving a thumbs-up sign. She did not disclose what kind of cancer she was fighting.
“Yes, I have a little bit of the C word y’all. I know a lot of us do,” she wrote. “I’m here to thank the incredible oncology team here, who pulled me through a complicated operation without a hitch. I am always so grateful for every second of the compassionate, and excellent medical care I receive in my life. Thank you to all the remarkable health care workers, who take our lives in your hands. And let’s all breathe.”

Police arrived at Shriner and Lauren’s home in response to a misdemeanor hit and run on April 8. Upon arrival, they found Lauren armed with a handgun in a neighbor’s yard. She allegedly refused to drop her weapon when LAPD officers ordered her to, and received a “non-life-threatening gunshot wound” at a local hospital, according to an LAPD statement. She was charged with felony attempted murder before being released on a $1 million bond. She is scheduled to appear in court on April 30, 2025.

“Next year when y’all see me you won’t recognize me,” the country star (real name Jason DeFord) said in an October 2024 Instagram video, revealing he’s lost more than 100 pounds. “I’m going to get under a pile of weights in a way that I never have.”
To slim down, Jelly Roll overhauled his diet and started exercising more. He frequently did boxing and basketball drills backstage while on his Beautifully Broken Tour and often took walks around the arenas.
The musician previously struggled with his weight, and he’s been candid about how online backlash bothered him.
“My husband got off the internet because he is so tired of being bullied about his f—ing weight,” Jelly Roll’s wife, Bunnie Xo, said on her “Dumb Blonde” podcast in April 2024. “And, like, that makes me want to cry because he is the sweetest angel baby. My husband doesn’t show it to you guys, but I’m gonna have a very vulnerable moment here — it hurts him.”

The award-winning vocalist participated in a 5K with comedian Bert Kreischer for Netflix Is a Joke Fest.
“I’m probably down 70-something pounds. I’ve been really kicking [butt], man,” he told People one month earlier. “I’m doing two to three miles a day, four to six days a week. I’m doing 20 to 30 minutes in the sauna, six minutes in a cold plunge every day.”
Jelly Roll added, “I feel really good. … If I feel this good down this weight, man, I can only imagine what I’m going to feel like by the time I go on tour.”
The “Save Me” singer wore a sleek, black suit to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, where he honored Black Sabbath’s Ozzy Osbourne with a tribute performance.
During an appearance at Pat McAfee’s live show, Jelly Roll revealed that he had lost nearly 200 pounds in the past year.
“I started at 540 pounds and I was 357 pounds this morning,” he told the crowd. “I’m gonna lose another 100 pounds and go skydiving with my wife in Sweden, baby!”
“I was diagnosed with breast cancer and my type of cancer is a hormone cancer. Hormones in my body feed my cancer,” Munn, 44, told Self in an Instagram video posted on Thursday, April 10. “My doctors told me that carrying my own baby would put my life at risk. I know that it would put my life at risk, but I loved carrying my son, and I really, really wanted to carry my next child.”
Munn and husband John Mulaney welcomed their son, Malcolm, in November 2021. Two years later, the actress was diagnosed with stage 1 Luminal B breast cancer in both breasts.
“As I was taking my medication for cancer, those drugs were incredibly debilitating,” Munn explained. “I was just in bed all the time. I’d be able to get up in the morning, [but] I probably had during the daytime, like, maybe two hours of actual ability to interact with people and play with my son.”
According to Munn, the only way she could get off the hormone-suppressing medicine would be if she underwent an oophorectomy.
“An oophorectomy is when they remove your ovaries,” she told the outlet. “Because I was doing the oophorectomy already, I wanted to take out my uterus and my fallopian tubes because once you are diagnosed with cancer, you pretty much spend the rest of your life looking over your shoulder and worrying about where else cancer could pop up.”
“Above everything else, I just wanted [our gestational carrier] to be kind,” Munn said in her Self cover story. “She’s an incredible mother, an incredible human being, an incredible friend, just wonderful. I needed [her] to understand that I needed to go this route.”
She continued, “It wasn’t for superficial reasons or because I wanted to put my work first. I’m not saying that any of those reasons aren’t valid for those people. I’m not judging anyone who makes those decisions based on that, but I needed her to understand this would be hard for me.”
Both Munn and Mulaney, 42, were in the delivery room when their surrogate, who is still in their lives, gave birth to Méi.
“The first person John hugged was [our surrogate’s] husband, he gave him a big kiss on the cheek,” she recalled. “It was just wonderful.”
“This fool never sees my FaceTimessss,” Bieber, 31, quipped via Instagram Story on Thursday, April 10, sharing a screenshot of his smiling face waiting for the call to connect to the music icon, 74. Bieber set his post to Wonder’s song “Overjoyed.”
While it’s not known why the pop star was trying to get in touch with Wonder this week, Bieber has long been a fan. Back when Bieber rose to fame, he frequently covered Wonder’s songs on YouTube. The twosome were both child prodigies, with Wonder, who went blind shortly after his birth, getting a record deal at 11. Bieber, for his part, signed a deal at age 15.
They later duetted Wonder’s “Someday at Christmas” at a 2011 benefit concert in Los Angeles.
Bieber’s social media posts, however, recently sparked concern for his well-being, which both he and his rep have denied.
“People told me my whole life, ‘Wow Justin, u deserve that,’ and I personally have always felt unworthy,” he wrote via Instagram Story last month. “Like I was a fraud. Like when people told me I deserve something, it made me feel sneaky, like, damn if they only knew my thoughts. How judgmental I am, how selfish I really am. They wouldn’t be saying this.”
He added, “I say all this to say if you feel sneaky, welcome to the club. I definitely feel unequipped and unqualified most days.”

Weeks earlier, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that Bieber was “happier than he’s been in a long time.”
“Justin is a happy camper right now,” the insider said in February, stressing that Bieber hasn’t had a “breakdown” but “just really doesn’t care what people think.”
“He knows he looks strange leaving spas shirtless, but it’s just him,” the source added of Bieber’s recent public images. “And after the rumors, he’s doing it out of spite now, he’s just being himself and won’t create a squeaky clean image just because the public wants him to.”
Justin has also been embracing baby bliss since welcoming son Jack Blues with his wife, Hailey Bieber, in August 2024.
“There has been a total shift in their marriage since renewing their vows [in May 2024] and welcoming baby Jack,” a second source told Us in January. “He’s truly brought them so much happiness and a renewed bond.”
Per the second insider, Justin is “obsessed” with his 7-month-old son and is a “really good dad.” Justin also frequently shares glimpses of Jack via his Instagram.

The “Aaron’s Party” singer and his then-fiancée became parents in November 2021 when Martin underwent an emergency C-section. The duo went public with their relationship in January 2020 and got engaged that June. Following their 2021 breakup, the twosome briefly reconciled, with Carter exclusively telling Us Weekly that having a baby changed his outlook on his relationship with the Bulgaria native.
“It’s all a beautiful blessing because I’ve had a lot of relationships and I started [to] kind of [give] up on love. I was talking about having a family years ago,” Carter explained in December 2021. “I [wanted] to be at home and enjoy the love of my life and my child. Now that it’s here, it’s like an epiphany. … I’ve [really] switched my gears of thinking. I’ve given a lot of people second and third chances, as you can see with us and the stuff that we’ve gone through.”
Us confirmed in November 2022 that Carter died at his California home. According to the coroner’s report, he drowned in a bathtub due to the effects of difluoroethane and alprazolam. His death was ruled an accident.
Martin paid tribute to Carter via social media. “Goodnight to my soulmate love of my life. RIP ,” she wrote shortly after his death. “Tonight I imagine myself laying on your tattoo chest as I fall asleep on yours I did for 3 years.”
After sharing a handful of photos of Carter with their son, the model wrote in another tribute: “I’ll never be the same.”

“I’m worried for her, to be honest,” Judge, 57, said on the Tuesday, April 8, episode of iHeartRadio’s “Two T’s in a Pod” podcast. “We don’t know all the details. Hopefully they get it figured out, but not a good position to be in.”
Last month, court documents obtained by People revealed the couple have received approximately $3 million in tax liens, which is the government’s legal claim against a person’s property when there’s a failure to pay a tax debt, per the IRS.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star, 52, owes $303,889.20. Ruelas’ amount nears $2.6 million. In December 2024, Ruelas, 49, was issued a lien for $163,523.94, per People. The lien is reportedly still an open case.
“How much tax lien do you have to have to go to jail?” Mellencamp, 43, asked her cohost during the podcast. Judge replied, “I don’t know. I do not know how that works. I hope that it doesn’t get to that. But this isn’t good.”

Mellencamp expressed optimism that Giudice could pay off any liens by doing “like, six paid posts and get that covered.”
And while filming for The Real Housewives of New Jersey is currently on pause, Judge agreed that there are other ways Giudice is likely making money.
“I don’t think she’s done making money,” Judge shared. “I’m sure she’s still doing things even though the show’s been put on hold. The one thing that I’ve noticed, I thought, maybe they’re going to bring cameras back up, maybe.”
While Bravo has yet to confirm any plans for season 15 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Judge is confident fans will be waiting for any updates on the case.

“I think Instagram is following this closely,” she said. “I personally hate to see anybody in financial stress.”
Mellencamp added, “We don’t really know that much about this, but we do know that this is something that can be avoided if you’re planning properly.”
Us Weekly has previously reached out to Teresa for comment on the tax lien claims. Gia Giudice recently shared that her mom has “everything under control.”
“There’s nothing to worry about,” she said on the March 31 episode of iHeartRadio’s “Casual Chaos” podcast. “My stepdad, Luis, is the most amazing stepfather. He treats my sisters and I like we are his own. He is also working on getting everything resolved as well. But there’s nothing to worry about. Everything’s going to be fine. But thank you for your concern.”
This isn’t the first time Teresa has dealt with debt in a marriage. In 2009, the Bravo star and her first husband, Joe Giudice, filed for bankruptcy, citing an $11 million debt.
Five years later, the pair were indicted on 39 counts of fraud and tax charges, including bankruptcy fraud. Teresa served 11 months of a 15-month sentence the following year. Joe, for his part, served a 41-month prison sentence for bankruptcy fraud.
Danielle Staub‘s ex-husband Kevin Maher — the man behind the iconic Cop Without a Badge book — broke his silence about their sex life and his whirlwind marriage to the Real Housewives of New Jersey alum.
During the newest installment of Investigation Discovery’s Hollywood Demons, which premieres on Monday, April 14, Maher made rare comments about how his relationship with Staub, 62, began when she was still using her birth name, Beverly Ann Merrill.
“In 1985 I was a paid confidential informant for the FBI, DEA, Secret Service, U.S Customs and the NYPD. I worked for them for five years undercover,” he revealed. “[One night] I pick up John — he was the drug dealer — at a club. On the way to the hotel, he introduced me to Beverly Ann Merrill.”
Maher was immediately smitten by Staub. “I walk in and there she is. Everything about her exuded sex,” he recalled. “The way she wore her clothes and the way she walked. She was in her absolute prime, and her body was flawless. It was the best sex of my life.”
According to Maher, they had a “super sexual” relationship which quickly turned more serious. Two days after they met, Staub admitted to Maher that she was out on bail after previously being arrested and facing prison time.
Real Housewives fans remember Staub’s legal drama coming to light during the first season of the New Jersey spinoff. Maher explained that Staub was connected to a drug dealer who was involved in narcotics trafficking, pistol whipping an individual and kidnapping.

“Then, like an idiot, I tell her I am an undercover confidential informant, and there’s a lot of things I could do for her,” he noted. “This is the first time in 40 years that I spoke out about how I confided in her and how stupid I was. You know what the Columbians would do if they found out I was an informant?”
Staub was arrested in 1986 in connection to a crime where an unnamed drug dealer allegedly kidnapped someone from Buffalo “who wanted to get into the drug trade and stole $25,000 worth of cocaine, beat him and held him hostage.” According to Hollywood Demons, authorities found 6 kilos of cocaine and about $16,000 in cash when Staub was arrested. She was initially charged with extortion, kidnapping and drug possession. Staub “denied any involvement in the kidnapping but admitted to talking to the victim’s father about his drug debt.”
Maher accused Staub of telling him “lies” about her past. “She fooled me and I felt sorry for her,” he shared in the ID special about helping Staub get five years probation and all charges except extortion getting dropped.
“I married her because I knew the parole guy would catch us, and she would go to prison because I’m a convicted felon,” he revealed about their marriage, which lasted from 1988 to 1989. Maher didn’t hear from Staub again until she joined the RHONJ cast in 2009 and her costars brought out his Cop Without a Badge book, which aired out Staub’s controversial past.
The assistant U.S attorney Theresa Van Viet also weighed in on Staub’s charges by saying she “was the least culpable.” After her arrest was brought up on the show, Maher sued her for defamation of character and they settled out of court in 2009.
Hollywood Demons airs Mondays on ID at 9 p.m. EST.
Former Bachelorette star Katie Thurston is sharing a major update on her cancer journey after having to put her treatments on pause.
Thurston, 34, shared in an Instagram video on Thursday, April 10, that her cancer has been “confirmed” as HER2-negative, which means, Thurston’s specific type of breast cancer “involves having cancerous cells in your breast that don’t contain high levels of the protein human epidermal growth factor 2,” according to the Cleveland Clinic. This is the opposite of most breast cancers, in which the HER2 protein fuels cancer growth.
“What this means is no chemo. Instead I’ll be on Letrozole + Kisqali + Zoladex as my first line of treatment,” her caption continued. “This is a custom plan based on being [/] having HER2-negative, Luminal B, hormone-positive breast cancer. Letrozole to block estrogen, Kisqali to stop cancer cells from growing, and Zoladex to shut down my ovaries.”
Thurston further explained that chemotherapy is not completely off the table.
“Could I need chemo in the future? Maybe,” she added. “If this treatment stops working or if the cancer grows again, it’s an option we’ll revisit. We will closely monitor the treatment plan and make sure it’s working for my body.”
The hormone therapy Thurston will undergo “works by stopping estrogen from fueling breast cancer cells to grow,” according to the American Cancer Society. Chemo, alternately, aims to kill the rapidly dividing cancer cells.
Thurston was diagnosed with cancer in February. The following month, the former reality star was finalizing her treatment plan while moving to New York City with now-husband Jeff Arcuri. (Thurston was also undergoing fertility treatments at the same time.)
Us Weekly broke the news on March 22 that Thurston and Arcuri, 36, had gotten married. They spoke to Us exclusively about tying the knot amid her health journey.
“I want to be able to be in the hospital with her and just be like, ‘My wife’s in there.’ There’s more power to that,” Arcuri told Us. “I don’t want to be not with you for any of this.”
Days later, multiple spots had been found on Thurston’s liver. She underwent breast, lymph node and liver biopsies, and got a port placed. By March 28, Thurston confirmed that the spots on her liver were cancerous.
“After days of waiting, unfortunately, I did find out today that my breast cancer has spread to the liver,” she shared on social media at the time. “It is fairly small, however it does put me at stage four.”
Thruston was initially set to start treatment in early April. However, her doctor put a pause on their plans.
“I was minutes away from taking my steroid for chemo prep,” she shared on April 4. “Instead, I am headed to my doctor to discuss how this happened, what testing is needed and what this means for my new treatment plan. Sounds like chemo is off the table now.”
Jelly Roll is cruising along on his weight loss journey, revealing he’s lost nearly 200 pounds.
“I started at 540 pounds and I was 357 pounds this morning,” the country singer, 40, said to host Pat McAfee during the Big Night AHT live show on Wednesday April 9, per a clip shared on X. “I’m gonna lose another 100 pounds.”
Jelly Roll (real name Jason DeFord) added that once he hits that next milestone, he has plans to “go skydiving” with his wife, Bunnie XO, in Sweden.
Jelly Roll publicly kicked off his health journey last year. The singer revealed he had lost around 70 pounds.
“I’m probably down 70-something pounds. I’ve been really kicking [butt], man,” he told People in April 2024. “I’m doing two to three miles a day, four to six days a week. I’m doing 20 to 30 minutes in the sauna, six minutes in a cold plunge every day.”

Jelly Roll felt “really good” at the time — but was inspired to keep the work going.
“If I feel this good down this weight, man, I can only imagine what I’m going to feel like by the time I go on tour,” he noted.
The following month, Jelly Roll participated in a 5K with comedian Bert Kreischer for Netflix Is a Joke Fest. After reaching the finish line, the Grammy nominee opened up about how proud he was of his accomplishment.
“I couldn’t walk a mile when I started trying to do this back in January,” he told Entertainment Tonight in May 2024. “So the fact that we got 3-point-whatever it was, got it down, I felt really, really good about it.”
By that October, he revealed that he achieved the milestone of losing 100 pounds.
“That’s why next year when y’all see me you won’t recognize me,” he said in an Instagram video. “I’m going to get under a pile of weights in a way that I never have.”
Jelly Roll also showed off how he incorporated his lifestyle changes — which included exercise regimens and dieting — while on tour. He gave fans an inside look at his go-to meals alongside his chef, Ian Larios.
Larios shared that he has prepared Jelly Roll’s go-to preshow snack: a banana topped with manuka honey and dark chocolate sweetened with stevia. For bigger meals, Larios created a healthier alternative to Jelly Roll’s favorite meal: a Nashville chicken sandwich and fries. Larios cooked up the fries in bone broth to increase its protein level, while the chicken was dredged in potato flour and air-fried instead of the traditional batter and oil.
Gwyneth Paltrow used to want to have more than two children.
“My dad [Bruce Paltrow] used to say the only regret he had in his entire life was not having more kids, and I felt like that for a long time until I got yours too,” Gwyneth, 52, told husband Brad Falchuk on the Tuesday, April 8, episode of her “Goop” podcast, while referring to her late father. “I got to tack on.”
She added, “[Our daughters Apple and Isabella] were graduating, and it started to just feel really light and really cohesive. Since then, we’ve had so many moments like that. I feel like it keeps deepening, and it’s such a particular kind of delight to see our four kids in their own relationships and being friends with each other and loving each other.”
Gwyneth and ex-husband Chris Martin, who “consciously uncoupled” in 2014, share daughter Apple, 20, and son Moses, 19. After their divorce, Gwyneth moved on with Glee producer Falchuk, 54, and they tied the knot in 2018. Falchuk also shares two children, Isabella, 20, and Brody, 18, with a past partner.
“We traversed through some really rough things,” Gwyneth recalled to Falchuk on Tuesday’s episode. “One of the most profound lessons that I’ve learned from my relationship with your daughter, which is now so fantastic, is there was [a lot of] testing going on. She was testing me at the time to see at what point I would reject her.”
The Oscar winner, meanwhile, subsequently decided to embody “the essence of maternal” for both Isabella and Brody.

“I was going to be … always loving and forgiving if she acted up and, ultimately, show her that I was so there for her,” Gwyneth explained, noting she wanted to debunk the “evil stepmother” stereotype often prevalent in media. “This dynamic gets triggered by the child, who is resentful or scared or any normal idea that they’re going to lose their dad or their relationship with their dad is going to change, so they push back or they act out.”
Gwyneth would also feel “triggered” by the dynamic, even questioning whether she was “lovable or acceptable.”
“I had to actively remind myself to be the adult at all times,” she said. “There were a few moments that were really, really hard. … You don’t [think you] have jurisdiction, you don’t want to step on toes [because you think] that’s going to make it worse if you assert … my boundaries or my expectations around manners or stuff like that.”
Gwyneth further noted that the stepparent dynamic is full of “minefields,” and she regretted how she chose to interact with Isabella and Brody at first.
“I should have treated them like my kids faster,” she said. “I was too worried about everyone’s feelings, in a way.”
Falchuk, meanwhile, noted that he and Gwyneth “always” believed that they could work through any issues to “build this amazing new family” together.
“It’s been amazing for me to watch all four kids, kind of, grow into this and embrace it,” Gwyneth stated. “It’s almost, like, the payoff is greater when it’s your stepkid than your own kid because … it’s not as natural of a relationship. You’re able to create something with someone who’s not one of your kids but becomes one of your kids.”
She concluded, “I get so much joy out of my relationship with your children. They mean so much to me.”
Since her humble beginnings in Boca Raton, Florida, Ariana Grande has become one of the most recognizable names in the entertainment industry.
The singer had a knack for entertaining from an early age, performing at various children’s theaters and in local musicals before landing her first major role as Cat Valentine on the Nickelodeon show Victorious.
Grande’s acting career shifted to music with the 2013 release of her debut album, Yours Truly. The former TV star has since released six more studio albums, including My Everything (2014), Dangerous Woman (2016), Sweetener (2018), thank u, next (2019), Positions (2020) and Eternal Sunshine (2024).
Along with her music, Grande’s series of high-profile romances also attracted a generous amount of attention over the years. After dating Big Sean, Ricky Alvarez, Mac Miller and Pete Davidson, she tied the knot with real estate agent Dalton Gomez in May 2021. However, Us Weekly confirmed in July 2023 that the twosome called it quits after two years of marriage, after which she moved on with her Wicked costar Ethan Slater. Grande officially filed for divorce in September 2023 and their split was finalized one month later.
Outside of music, Grande continued to act in projects such as Scream Queens, Kidding, Don’t Look Up and Wicked, the latter of which earned the star her first Oscar nomination for her performance as Glinda.
Scroll down to take a look back at Grande through the years:
The actress landed her first TV role on Victorious alongside her 13 costar Elizabeth Gillies. Grande dyed her hair red for her role as Cat Valentine on the Nickelodeon sitcom about a performing arts high school, which aired for four seasons from 2010 to 2013.
The TV star reprised her role on Nickelodeon’s Sam & Cat, which was a crossover spinoff of Victorious and iCarly. The show also starred Jennette McCurdy as Sam Puckett and, despite its ratings success, only aired for one season.
The two programs helped propel the budding star to teen idol status, but she was more interested in a music career. In May 2014, she told Rolling Stone that acting was “fun,” but that music was always “first and foremost.”
The teen idol released her first album, Yours Truly, after three years of recording. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, thanks in part to the success of lead single “The Way,” which featured Miller. Other singles included “Baby I” and “Right There.”
The singer performed twice at the White House during Barack Obama’s presidency, first at the “Women of Soul” concert in March 2014 and again the following month during the Easter Egg Roll.
Grande dropped her second album, My Everything, which became her second to debut atop the Billboard 200. This time around, she explored more mature themes on singles “Problem” featuring Iggy Azalea, “Break Free” with Zedd, “Bang Bang” with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj, “Love Me Harder” featuring The Weeknd and “One Last Time.” My Everything was nominated for a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album.
After an eight-month romance, Grande and rapper Big Sean amicably called it quits. “They both deeply care for each other and remain close friends,” their reps told Us in a joint statement. “We kindly ask that the media respect their wish for privacy regarding this personal matter at this time.”
The multihyphenate returned to her acting roots with a four-episode guest-starring role on the short-lived Fox comedy horror series Scream Queens. Her character, Chanel No. 2, was killed off in the first episode, but she resurfaced later in season 1.
Grande released her third album, Dangerous Woman, which was her first to debut at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. However, it was critically acclaimed and earned her another Best Pop Vocal Album Grammy nod. The disc’s singles included the title track, “Into You” and “Side to Side” featuring Minaj.
After locking lips in their video for “The Way,” Grande and Miller often dodged questions from interviewers about their connection. They finally made their relationship Instagram official with a 2016 post of her holding the rapper in a headlock and laughing.
The duo continued to collaborate, releasing the track “My Favorite Part” on Miller’s 2016 album The Divine Feminine. In May 2018, however, they broke it off after nearly two years of dating.
Four months later, following the “2009” musician’s accidental overdose death, Grande expressed her heartache. The “pov” crooner shared a touching video of the Pittsburgh native and wrote how “mad” and “sad” she was about the tragedy. "I'm so sorry I couldn't fix or take your pain away. I really wanted to,” she captioned the post.
Two weeks after a suicide bombing at her Manchester, England, concert killed 22 fans and injured hundreds more people, Grande organized the One Love Manchester benefit. It featured emotional performances from herself, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Bieber, Coldplay and many more. The British Red Cross received more than $13 million in donations for the victims and their families during the show.
Us broke the news of Grande and the Davidson’s engagement after just a few weeks of dating. The couple publicly gushed over each other in various interviews and the pop star even penned a tribute track to him on her August 2018 album Sweetener, calling him her “soulmate.”
The pair ultimately went their separate ways that October. In March 2019, the “Bang Bang” musician said she was “still healing” via an Instagram post but decided to keep moving forward with her Sweetener world tour.
Grande dropped her fourth album, Sweetener, which became her third to debut at No. 1 and to receive a Best Pop Vocal Album Grammy nomination, which it won the following February. It included the singles “No Tears Left to Cry,” “God Is a Woman” and “Breathin.”
The pop star released her fifth album, Thank U, Next, in the wake of Miller’s death and her split from Davidson. The title track became her first No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and second single “7 Rings” followed suit.
Grande kicked off her Sweetener world tour in Albany, New York, at Times Union Center. Before she took the stage, Miller’s song “Dang!” played over the arena’s speakers. The tour is scheduled through December with a total of 101 scheduled concerts, making it Grande’s longest to date.
The entertainer headlined the 2019 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California. During her set, she brought out four members of ‘NSync (Justin Timberlake was unable to make it because he had just wrapped up his solo tour) to perform “Tearin’ Up My Heart” and “Break Up With Your Girlfriend (I’m Bored).”
The musician celebrated her 26th birthday with a “7 Rings” cake at a birthday celebration with friends and loved ones. “Another year around the sun n she still wearing these f–kin ears,” Grande captioned photo of herself wearing black bunny ears and a satin mini dress at her bash.
She added: “Grateful for the love and for the people i get to share this life with. and thank u for the birthday wishes. p.s. i changed into an xxxl hoodie minutes after this was taken, don’t worry.”
During a summer stop on her Sweetener world tour, the “my hair” singer broke down several times, per videos recorded by fans. The concert took place in her late ex-boyfriend Miller’s hometown of Pittsburgh almost a year after his death.
The “Dangerous Woman” singer canceled her concert in Lexington, Kentucky, amid a “scary” battle with an unknown illness. On November 16, she revealed that she was in “so much pain” and had been sick since her mid-October shows in London. She had previously been battling panic attacks, depression and anxiety in August.
The musician’s sixth studio album, Positions, earned Grande her fifth number one album on the Billboard charts, featuring collaborations with Doja Cat, Ty Dolla Sign and more. It also snagged a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album.
Two years after her split from fiancé Davidson, a source confirmed to Us that the pop star was engaged to Gomez.
“Ariana is beyond excited. She has really enjoyed getting to know and falling in love with Dalton out of the spotlight, something she didn’t get to do in her past relationships,” the insider revealed at the time. “They are so in love and committed to spend the rest of their lives together.”
The Scream Queens alum walked the Grammy Awards red carpet with her mom, Joan, and dad, Edward Butera, whom she reconnected with in late 2019 after a falling out years prior. During the show, Grande hit the stage to perform a medley of her songs, one year after skipping the show amid drama with a producer.
A source told Us in March 2020 that the actress and Social House singer Mikey Foster called off their romance “around a month ago,” after first being linked in August 2019.
Grande and Justin Bieber’s charity duet, “Stuck With U” was released on May 8, and hit the No.1 spot on the Billboard chart shortly thereafter. With their success came criticism from Tekashi69, who claimed the singers purchased their chart spot with six different credit cards.
Grande fired back via Instagram writing, “OUR fans bought this song (never more than four copies each, AS THE RULES STATE). they are ride or die mother—kers and i thank god every day that i have them in my life. Not just when they fight for us to win (even when i ask them not to as i did this week) but because they’re some of the greatest people i know. sales count for more than streams. u can not discredit this as hard as u try.”
The Florida native and Lady Gaga dropped their collaboration, “Rain on Me,” on May 22. Ahead of its release, Gaga teased the track as a “celebration of all tears” during an interview with Paper magazine.
Grande and boyfriend Dalton Gomez became Instagram official on June 25, one day before the singer turned 27. “Almost 27 :),” the former Nickelodeon star captioned a series of snaps from her time amid the coronavirus quarantine. The pair were first spotted together in February, and Us confirmed the next month that they are dating.
It was announced that the “Save Your Tears” songstress would be replacing Nick Jonas for The Voice’s 21st season.
“I have been a huge fan of the show for such a long time,” she said in a statement at the time. “I can’t wait to go head-to-head with the incredible coaches, get to know these new artists and help to take their craft to the next level.”
Grande married Gomez in the spring with an intimate affair that included less than 20 people. “[T]he room was so happy and full of love,” a rep for the singer confirmed to Us at the time. “The couple and both families couldn’t be happier.”
Following the news of her being cast with Cynthia Erivo in the upcoming Wicked movie adaptation, the “bad idea” artist sent the England native a bouquet of flowers.
“Dear Cynthia, Honored doesn’t even begin to cover it,” Grande wrote in a sweet note, according to Erivo’s social media upload. “I Cannot wait to hug you. See you in Oz. All my love, Ari.”
The Sam & Cat alum’s mom, Joan Grande, noted via Instagram at the time that she was “bursting with pride” over the news.
Grande released a line of mod-style beauty products and teased fans ahead of the launch of r.e.m. beauty in a Barbarella-inspired look that was every bit ‘60s.
The Grammy winner appeared alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep, Jennifer Lawrence and Jonah Hill in the Adam McKay-directed apocalyptic satire Don't Look Up.
In the flick, Grande played global music star Riley Bina whose back-and-forth romance with DJ Chello (Kid Cudi) drew the public’s attention away from impending disaster.
The “just like magic” singer proved she has nothing but good vibes with her ex, Davidson, when she sent his new girlfriend Kim Kardashian a press package with her “chapter 2” r.e.m. beauty launches for the spring.
The gesture did not go unnoticed by The Kardashians star who took to her Instagram Stories to show off the collection.
Five years after the tragedy, the singer provided gifts to be “distributed to babies, children and teenagers" at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital for Christmas.
"Thank you Ariana," the hospital’s Twitter account posted at the time. “We were so excited to receive Christmas gifts for young patients across our hospitals from Ariana Grande."
Us confirmed that Grande and Gomez separated after two years of marriage in July 2023, shortly after Grande was spotted sans wedding ring at Wimbledon. “Ariana and Dalton have been having some issues for months now,” a source said at the time. “They were having issues before she left for Wicked filming [in London] that they couldn’t resolve, and the distance did not help. They haven’t been speaking and are separated, and a divorce is likely.”
Grande officially filed for divorce from Gomez in September 2023. Us confirmed the following month that the duo, who had a prenup, had settled their divorce. According to TMZ at the time, Grande was ordered to pay Gomez up to $25,000 of Gomez's attorney's fees. Gomez was also listed to receive $1,250,000 tax-free and half of ht enet proceeds from the sale of his and Grande's L.A. home.
Us confirmed Grande was in a relationship with Slater the same month she and Gomez called it quits. Shortly after, news broke that Slater had filed for divorce from his ex-wife, Lilly Jay, with whom he shares a child. (Slater and Jay finalized their split in September 2024).
Grande and Slater stepped out for several date nights together while working out their respective splits, as well as moved in together in NYC. The pop star supported her boyfriend by attending several performances of his Broadway show Spamalot, even bringing her father, Ed Butera, to the musical’s 2023 Christmas Eve performance.
Grande’s seventh studio album, Eternal Sunshine, featured songs seemingly inspired by her split from Gomez and romance with Slater. In the record’s lead single, “Yes, And?,” Grande clapped back at critics about her relationship with Slater by singing, “Your business is yours and mine is mine / Why do you care so much whose — I ride?”
Grande later addressed speculation that she and Slater left their former partners to be with each other during a September 2023 interview with Vanity Fair. “It definitely doesn’t get any easier, seeing some of the negativity,” she told the outlet. “Of course, I went through a lot of life changes during the filming of [Wicked]. A lot of people that were working on it did. We were away for two years.”
She went on to state that the “most disappointing part” of the rumors was “to see so many people believe in the worst version of it. That was definitely a tough ride.”
Grande and Slater went on to appear alongside each other at worldwide premieres for Wicked, though the two did not walk any red carpets together as a couple.
Grande received accolades for her performance as Glinda in the first half of the two-part Wicked movie adaptation, which hit theaters in November 2024. In addition to scoring Golden Globes, BAFTA and Critics Choice nominations, the role earned Grande her first-ever Oscar nod for Best Supporting Actress.
“I cannot stop crying, to no one’s surprise. i’m humbled and deeply honored to be in such brilliant company and sharing this with tiny ari who sat and studied Judy Garland singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow just before the big, beautiful bubble entered,” she captioned a January 2025 Instagram slideshow, which featured a childhood pic of herself dressed as Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz. “I’m so proud of you, tiny. thank you again, from the bottom of my heart, for this acknowledgement @theacademy.”
Grande sported her character’s signature pink on the Oscars red carpet, as well as opened the show with costar Cynthia Erivo by performing songs from The Wizard of Oz, The Wiz and Wicked. She ultimately lost the Best Supporting Actress award to Zoe Saldaña for Emilia Pérez.
Blake Moynes is not closing his chapter with reality TV.
“There’s been a couple of instances that almost transpired, one being last year, Bachelor almost became a thing, being the lead, but went in a different direction,” Moynes, 34, claimed on the Thursday, April 10, episode of Jax Taylor’s “In the Mind of a Man” podcast. “There was another opportunity with a Netflix show that just wasn’t for me and I just couldn’t do. There’s also a Bravo network show that eventually happened, so we’ll see what happens there.”
Moynes told Taylor that he wouldn’t say that he’s ‘done” quite yet with the small screen: “I’m just picking and choosing what’s actually appropriate for me, considering everything I had going on.”
Moynes shared that he’s “all over the world” traveling, which makes it difficult to align with certain opportunities. “Sometimes timelines don’t necessarily link up, and sometimes it’s not worth it to go and do, you know?” he said.
The most recent Bachelor to lead the franchise was Grant Ellis, who ended his season 29 engaged to Juliana Pasquarosa.
Bachelor Nation met Moynes when he vied for the affections of Clare Crawley on season 16 of The Bachelorette in 2020. When Crawley left the show early after getting engaged to Dale Moss, Moynes went on to pursue a relationship with Tayshia Adams. While he did not find The One in Adams, Moynes returned for Katie Thurston’s season 17 of The Bachelorette. The pair ended the show engaged before splitting in 2021. He has since appeared on Bachelor in Paradise but left the show single.
ABC/Craig Sjodin
Despite calling it quits Moynes shared on Thursday that he has remained in contact with Thurston, 34.
“It took a little while [but] she ended up showing up on [Bachelor in] Paradise when I was there [in 2023],” he explained. “I had not talked to her since we ended the engagement. So two years later we hashed it out. … We’ve been in touch here and there since.”
“Anything that she’s been talking about, I’ve been following along with her,” Moynes said. “She did a podcast recently and I’m always just listening in on her. I’m not going to be on the phone with her obviously — as the ex — but I did reach out to her and left her a long video message giving her all the support.”
Moynes continued: “I will say it’s a scary thing. But I know her and she’s a fiery girl. I’m very optimistic in how she handles this. As I see, it’s a small hurdle for her. She’s going about it in a very cool way, doing it publicly and showing [everyone the treatment process].”

“My skin looks more plump, less dull and dry, and most importantly it feels and looks more vibrant and youthful,” one five-star reviewer wrote. “I’m 42. I have a love for Korean skincare as it’s changed my skin and I trust their ingredients. I would encourage anyone over 40 to try it. Not slimy or sticky, feels like it’s soaks in immediately and with the snail mucin together it’s perfection.”
“Day 2 of using this product and my skin is glowing!” one shopper raves. “My skin is so soft and looks and feels amazing! I use a small amount on my fingertips after washing my face and then let it dry before applying my makeup. It’s non sticky which I love and sinks into the skin perfectly. I absolutely love this product!”
Now that the secret’s out, head to Amazon to snag the pink serum for yourself. With results this good, it’s worth the $18 price tag!
“Guess who I’ve been messaging back-and-forth with about cancer? Jesse Solomon,” Mellencamp, 43, told cohost Tamra Judge on the Tuesday, April 8, episode of iHeartRadio’s “Two T’s in a Pod” podcast. “He’s actually given me a lot of good advice.”
Solomon, 31, revealed he’s a two-time testicular cancer survivor on a 2024 episode of Summer House, which he joined in season 8.
“What I asked him, I said, ‘During the times you were in treatment, not feeling good, did you lay in bed or did you go do stuff? This is where I’m really struggling,’” she explained. “He said, ‘Every day was like a completely different day. I would make plans and then not be able to do it. But then sometimes, I would go out and feel normal and do all the regular things. Then on the days that I didn’t, I just relax.’”
Mellencamp, who revealed in February that she was undergoing surgery for multiple brain tumors, said she has been told by doctors that “whatever you feel the best doing is going to help you get better the fastest.”
“Because you’re doing what your body wants,” Mellencamp concluded. “But either way, it was very nice of him to message me.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum has been candid about her cancer journey since revealing her battle in February. “I’m fighting for my life,” she exclusively told Us Weekly in a cover story earlier this month. “But also for my family’s life and all the people I love.”
While navigating the diagnosis, Teddi said dad John Mellencamp calls her “every day” to check in. “Some days, I’m not in the mood, I don’t want a pep talk. [I tell him], ‘I’ll talk to you tomorrow, I’ll be more pep talk-ready, but I love you,’” she told Us.
Teddi recently shared that her dad urgently called her 11 times in a row to ask a question about her last wishes. “Finally, I answer, I’m like, ‘I’m in the bath. Let me live a little,’” Teddi said on the Tuesday episode of her and Judge’s podcast. “He goes, ‘I just want to make sure you’re going to be in our group family mausoleum.’”

Teddi, who shares three children with estranged husbandEdwin Arroyave, noted that she’s unsure where her kids would go in the mausoleum. (Arroyave, 47, is also dad to eldest daughter Isabella, from a previous relationship.)
“He’s like, ‘Well, there’s going to be the top five and then we’re gonna have little areas around it, and then that’s where everyone’s going to get buried.’ He goes, ‘You’re doing your will right now, so you may as well put it in there,’” she said, to which she ultimately agreed. “I’m gonna have to work on my sister next week. The kids will be right behind me.”
The Valleyisn’t wasting any time in getting straight to the drama.
As excitement continues to build for season 2, Bravo decided to release the first seven minutes of the premiere on Thursday, April 10.
Viewers are quickly given an inside look into Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s relationship, nine months after they decided to separate following five years of marriage.
“It’s not going well,” Jax, 45, shares in the sneak peek. “She’s in a rental, and we’re allowed to date other people. It’s so toxic. It’s so broken. There was a lot of love there for a long time.”
According to Jax, things took a turn when he discovered Brittany, 36, was hooking up with his good friend Julian Sensley.

From Brittany’s perspective, “all hell broke loose” when her estranged husband discovered she had sent a sexy video to Julian.
“He flipped the coffee table and it hit my knee,” she claims to costar Michelle Saniei. “It turned black immediately. I’m screaming, crying. It was terrifying. … We were separated. He was hooking up with girls!”
When recalling the incident with Jesse Lally, Jax assured his costar that his 3-year-old son, Cruz, was in another room and didn’t see anything.
At the same time, he questioned how other guys would handle the moment if they were put in a similar situation.
“She was planning on moving back into my home but yet sending inappropriate messages. Like, what?” he asks Jesse, 43. “What would you do? You probably wouldn’t throw things.”
During a confessional interview, Jax is asked why things had to get violent. At the time, he didn’t have an answer for his behavior.
“What I did was wrong. I lost all control. I saw red,” he shares. “I had an out of body experience, but show me a guy that wouldn’t handle the situation like I handled it.”
Elsewhere in the season 2 premiere, Nia Sanchez and Danny Booko are trying to handle three kids under three. (In December 2024, Us Weekly exclusively confirmed the pair is expecting a fourth baby.)
As for Kristen Doute — who announced in November 2024 that she is pregnant and expecting a baby girl with fiancé Luke Broderick — she hasn’t made any peace with Janet Caperna.
When asked where she stands with her costar, Kristen quickly says, “She’s dead to me.”
The Valley season 2 premieres on Bravo Tuesday, April 15, at 9 p.m. ET. Catch up on old episodes anytime on Peacock.
