Bill Belichick’s girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, took a cue from Taylor Swift in a savvy trademark filing involving her boyfriend’s former team, the New England Patriots. 

Hudson, 24, filed 14 trademarks on April 3 with the federal trademark office, Us Weekly confirmed. Among them were the phrases “No Days Off,” “Do Your Job” and “Ignore the Noise,” all of which are currently owned by the Patriots and their owner, Robert Kraft. 

To get around things, Hudson’s filings included “(Bill’s Version)” at the end of each phrase, a nod to Swift’s rerecordings of her old songs after her discography was purchased by Scooter Braun. 

Belichick, 72, coached the Patriots for 24 seasons and guided the team to six Super Bowls before he and the franchise agreed to part ways in January 2024. In December 2024, Belichick was announced as the new head coach at the University of North Carolina.

Hudson made the filing on April 3 through her company, Trouble Cub Enterprises. The former cheerleader and beauty queen is listed as the company’s CEO and founder on its LinkedIn page. Hudson launched the company in April 2021. Prior to filing for Bill’s Version of the phrases, Hudson also filed to trademark “Trail of Salty Tears,” “Peachy Keen and Wonderful” and “Saving Miss Daisy” on March 29.

The trademark filing isn’t the first time Belichick has been connected to Swift, 34. In July 2024, Belichick attended Swift’s “Eras Tour” in Amsterdam alongside Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, who is dating the pop star. 

In a series of photos posted by Hudson via Instagram in October 2024, Belichick could be seen wearing an “Eras Tour” sweatshirt. 

“Bill in the blue Eras Tour crewneck is something I thought I would never see in my life,” one person commented on the post. Another wrote, “Can’t see Billy being a Swifty .”

Hudson’s role in Belichick’s professional life has been a point of interest since the couple was first pictured together in 2023.

In March, it was reported that Belichick wanted Hudson copied on some of his emails surrounding his duties at North Carolina. The Athletic obtained 44 pages of those emails on Friday, April 11, with Hudson’s correspondence being described as “minimal.”

However, in an email from February, Hudson raised a question about negative comments about Belichick on social media. 

“Is there anyone monitoring the UNC Football page for slanderous commentary and subsequently deleting it / blocking users that are harassing BB in the comments?” she asked. 

Belichick followed up the next day, writing, “I cannot believe that UNC would support my being called a ‘predator.’”

Mickey Rourke is exploring legal action against Celebrity Big Brother UK after his controversial exit.

“Big Brother is now refusing to pay Mickey his full agreed-upon fee. His legal team is currently pursuing the matter,” Rourke’s rep, Kimberly Hines, claimed in a statement to Us Weekly. “To use his name and image in this way, after a long and accomplished career, is an insult to a true cinematic icon. It disregards his legacy and crosses the line of basic respect — both within the industry and on a personal level.”

Hines claimed that producers were “fully aware” of Rourke’s “public persona” which she described as a “Hollywood rebel image.”

“They knew his presence would be explosive, controversial, and attention-grabbing — and that’s exactly what they got, and more,” the statement said. “They even promoted his provocative personality, which had already been well-documented in the press, and has become even more evident since the show aired.”

Hines continued, “In our discussions, Big Brother was made fully aware of Mickey Rourke’s background and lifestyle. Yet rather than handle it professionally, they took it too far — publicly embarrassing him and using his removal as a marketing tool. That’s not just unprofessional; it’s deeply disrespectful and damaging.”

According to TMZ, Hines alleged that Rourke was later informed that the network would only cover hotel rooms up to $300 per night. Rourke has reportedly booked a hotel which cost him an estimated $50,000.

Hines told the outlet that the Celebrity Big Brother producers were aware of the risk of Rourke saying something controversial and they got what they wanted from him before “sending him out with barely a ride to the airport.”

Us Weekly has reached out to Rourke and Celebrity Big Brother UK for comment.

Rourke was one of the 13 star-studded houseguests competing on the U.K. interaction of the reality series. News broke on Saturday, April 12, that Rourke had been removed from the game.

“Mickey Rourke has agreed to leave the Celebrity Big Brother House this evening following a discussion with Big Brother regarding further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour,” a spokesperson for the told Us at the time.

Before his expulsion, Rourke received a formal warning following an encounter with fellow competitor JoJo Siwa. He told the Dance Moms alum that if she stayed in the house “longer than four days, you won’t be gay anymore,” which offended her.

After the incident with Siwa, Rourke got into a disagreement with Love Island UK star Chris Hughes over a task. The two housemates got heated, but the confrontation reportedly did not turn physical. After news broke of his departure, ITV dropped a promo of the “heated” moment.

Rourke expressed his regrets over his behavior on the reality series and apologized in his exit episode which aired on Sunday, April 13.

“I stepped over the line. I take responsibility for doing the wrong thing,” he said. “I lost my temper, and I’ve been trying to work on it my whole life. And I wish I would have had better self-control. I’m very sorry. I’m ashamed of myself for losing it for a few seconds there.”

Lo Bosworth is steering clear of fillers.

Bosworth, 38, exclusively opened up to Us Weekly about which beauty treatments she’s tried — and will never do again — while chatting about her Love Wellness Intimate Skin Support Spray ($20), now available in Walmart.

“That is not good for you,” Bosworth told Us. “That is not going to support your vaginal microbiome.”

Taylor Ann Green received an outpouring of love from fans after announcing her Southern Charm exit this month — but only three of her costars publicly reacted to the news.

Venita Aspen, Rodrigo Reyes and season 10 newbie Molly O’Connell all showed Taylor, 30, support via social media within hours of her announcement.

Venita, 31, commented on the post, writing, “,” while Molly, 37, replied, “I love you!!!!!”

Rodrigo, who is one of Taylor’s closest friends on the show, added, “I love you so much.”

There were, however, a few big names who failed to publicly support their costar. Her ex-boyfriend Shep Rose — whom she was dating when she joined the series during season 7 — didn’t leave a comment. Neither did OG star Craig Conover or Austen Kroll, whom Taylor kissed during season 9. (Shep, 44, and Taylor split in summer 2022 after two years of dating.)

Taylor revealed on Monday, April 14, that she was exiting Southern Charm following the season 10 reunion, which aired earlier this month.

“A bittersweet announcement; but after a lot of conversations and thought this past year, it is with a heavy but peaceful heart to announce that I will be stepping away from Southern Charm next year,” she explained via Instagram. “These past 5 years with NBC and Bravo have been some of the most crazy but exciting times of my life. I will forever be thankful to the network, production teams, bravo family and all the fans for ultimately cheering me on to where I am today.”

Taylor called her journey a “wild roller coaster but an incredible one to say the least.” She noted that moving forward, she plans to focus on her new company, Reset Athletic, an athleisure clothing line.

Taylor made her Southern Charm debut in 2020. During season 9, which aired in 2023, her life was a major focal point after she lied about kissing Austen after he dated her then-bestie, Olivia Flowers, who wasn’t over him.

When season 10 premiered, Taylor was in a new relationship with Gaston Rojas.(Taylor exclusively told Us Weekly in October 2023 that she moved on with Gaston, whom she met through Southern Hospitality’s TJ Dinch.)

Throughout the latest season, Taylor got flack for keeping Gaston off camera. She also feuded with newbie Salley Carson, who previously dated Gaston and continued to allegedly attack his character.

Although most of Taylor’s castmates — including Leva Bonaparte, who announced her exit earlier this month as well — didn’t comment on her departure, the Bravo family picked up the slack.

The stars of Southern Hospitality, which is a spinoff of the Charleston-based reality show, were ready to sprinkle Taylor with love after her big news.

Before Amy Poehler and Will Arnett split in 2012, they were one of Hollywood’s funniest couples — both on-screen and off.

The Murderville star first encountered the Saturday Night Live alum in 1996, when he saw her perform with her improv comedy group, Upright Citizens Brigade. Arnett later said that he had a crush on her at first sight, but the duo didn’t start dating until 2000.

After tying the knot in 2003, the couple tried to keep their romantic relationship out of the spotlight, but their onscreen partnership was just getting started. In 2004, the Yes Please author made her first guest appearance on Arrested Development as Bride of G.O.B., the wife of Arnett’s character, G.O.B. Bluth.

Three years later, the twosome starred on the big screen as the villains in Blades of Glory. Poehler played Fairchild Van Waldenberg, while Arnett played her brother and skating partner, Stranz Van Waldenberg.

“It’s way more fun to be evil,” the Baby Mama actress told Collider of the role in March 2007. “What was fun about our stuff was that we had to look like from the outside that we were all sweet, but inside we were rotten to the core. That was really fun to play.”

In June 2010, the BoJack Horseman alum teamed up with his Arrested Development castmate Jason Bateman to present his then-wife with a Webby Award. Even then, he couldn’t resist turning the event into an opportunity for comedy, doing a bit where the Ozark star “mistakenly” read Arnett’s lines instead of his own.

“If it were up to me, Jason, I would give her the Webby for the best wife,” Bateman joked. “The possibilities for this woman are seemingly endless,” Arnett said before realizing he was reading Bateman’s lines. “In fact, some say if it wasn’t for some dead weight that she’s been lugging around, who knows where she’d be … what the f–k is this?”

The Moxie director and the former Up All Night star called it quits in 2012, but they remain friendly coparents to their two sons, Archie and Abel. “It’s been almost 10 years and my kids are so lucky that Amy is their mother, and I’m so lucky that we’re such a huge part of each other’s lives, even more so than we were five years ago,” Arnett told The Guardian in February 2022. “You get on with it.”

One year after Us Weekly confirmed that the Show Dogs actor had started dating Alessandra Brawn, the couple welcomed son Alexander in June 2020. Poehler, for her part, dated Nick Kroll from 2013 to 2015.

When Amy Poehler appeared on the “Smartless” podcast, cohost Jason Bateman took the opportunity to jokingly ask her and ex-husband Will Arnett to explain the details of their split.

“So, Amy and Will, how did you guys first meet?” Bateman, 56, quipped on the Monday, April 21, episode, earning laughs from the exes and cohost Sean Hayes. “We’re going to get into it. When did it first start to fracture?”

Poehler’s appearance on the podcast came as a surprise to Arnett, 54, and Bateman, who are not briefed on Hayes’ weekly guests. (Each episode, the trio takes turns inviting a guest on the podcast while leaving the other two cohosts in the dark. Poehler, 53, was asked to join by Hayes, 54.)

Before interviewing Poehler, Hayes briefly explained the history behind Poehler and Arnett’s relationship to the audience — and his sister, Tracey. (As fans of “Smartless” know, Hayes will add context to industry stories and information to keep his sister up-to-date.)

“What are you guys talking about? Why do you have to float anything past anybody? Guys, nice, by the way, great welcome. Nice to see you all,” Poehler quipped. “I mean Jesus, you’re all talking about how weird it is that I’m here. Hi, I’m your guest. Nice to see you. Happy to be here.”

Arnett and Poehler — who are parents to sons Archie, 16, and Abel, 14 — split in 2012 after nine years of marriage. Two years later, Arnett filed for divorce, which was finalized in 2016. (Four years later, Arnett welcomed son Alexander with girlfriend Alessandra Brawn.)

I’m really, really lucky to have her as a partner in this way,” Arnett gushed on the podcast. “There aren’t many people I speak to more than I speak to her, which is weird, you know what I mean. But it’s great. I feel really lucky.”

He continued, “She is somebody that I still run a lot of stuff by. … She’s the person that I go like, ‘Hey, I’m thinking about doing this.’ Whether it’s life or work and I really seek her counsel because it’s important to me because I trust her. She’s awesome.”

The Valley’s Jesse Lally has a newfound appreciation for his former rival Kristen Doute.

In a sneak peek of the Tuesday, April 15, episode of Bravo’s reality show, two cast members appear ready to forgive and forget after feuding for much of season 1.

“You were right about almost everything,” Jesse, 43, tells Kristen, 42, when discussing his split from Michelle Saniei. “I think there was a subconscious level where I kind of knew it, and I think this suppression of what I already knew led to resentment, which led to anger, which led to hatred.”

After some time and serious thought, Jesse believes his costar “didn’t deserve” to face such anger from him.

“I take full accountability for it,” he shares. “From the bottom of my heart, I’m sorry.”

While Kristen initially appears to get emotional after accepting the in-person apology, she later shares her no-filter reaction to Jesse’s contrition in a confessional interview.

During season 1 of The Valley, Kristen questioned the strength of Jesse and Michelle’s marriage.

At one point, she accused Michelle, 36, of having a boyfriend for a year. Michelle has denied the claim.

Entering season 2, Michelle is going through a public divorce with Jesse while finding a new boyfriend in financial advisor Aaron Nosler. She’s also trying to coparent her 4-year-old daughter, Isabella, with her estranged husband.

“Divorce is tough,” Jesse shares in the clip. “You think I was so excited to see my ex-wife with her new boyfriend? Even if you’re well beyond it, it’s not comfortable. … Now it’s going to be Team Jesse or Team Michelle. It’s already happening.”

Former The View star Debbie Matenopoulos might have one of Bravo’s giant diamonds in her future, thanks to a stint on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

“I don’t even know if I’m allowed to say this,” Matenopoulos, 50, said during a recent appearance on SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio. “Yes, I am currently talking [to Bravo].”

Matenopoulos’ honest answer came after she was questioned about past RHOBH rumors. (Bravo has yet to make any official casting announcement.)

“When I mean currently, I mean currently,” Matenopoulos emphasized. “Like, last week.”

Matenopoulos was one of the original panelists on The View, appearing on the show from 1997 to 1999. Over the years, she’s held jobs as an entertainment journalist on E!’s Live from the Red Carpet, The Insider and Entertainment Tonight.

Her potential appearance on the next season of RHOBH comes after Garcelle Beauvais announced last month that she was leaving the show after five seasons. (The actress kicked off her stint on RHOBH in 2020, during season 10.)

“It’s been a wild ride,” Beauvais shared in an Instagram video on March 25. “I mean, some amazing things have happened, and some hard things have also happened, but it’s been a ride nevertheless.”

The RHOBH season 14 reunion — which airs its third and final part on Tuesday, April 15 — offered a larger hint into Beauvais’ reason for leaving.

She was put in the “hot seat” during the first part of the reunion, which aired on April 1.

“I can’t have an opinion. I can’t say how I feel,” Beauvais said at one point of the episode, after getting questioned by the other RHOBH women. “I just have to go along, just to go along. Everybody can go f*** themselves, I don’t care.”

A clip from Tuesday’s episode, released by Bravo, showed Beauvais walking off stage — and refusing to take part in a cast photo — once filming had officially concluded.

“I’m out. I’m not. I’m not,” she said while walking out of the studio. “Nope, I’m not doing it.”

Peter Weber and Kelley Flanagan’s relationship has been unconventional from the start.

During the January 2020 premiere of season 24 of The Bachelor, fans learned that the attorney ran into the pilot at a hotel in Malibu in August 2019. “Kelley met Peter prior to the taping of the show,” Chris Harrison revealed in January 2020. “This is completely random but they met at a hotel they were both at for separate parties. She knew Peter — Peter obviously didn’t know her — she went up to him, and they met, and they both think this could be destiny.”

While their relationship didn’t work out on the show, the twosome ran into each other post-filming after Weber’s Bachelor relationships with Hannah Ann Sluss and Madison Prewett fell through.

Us Weekly broke the news in April 2020 that Weber and Flanagan were official, but the two later announced their split that New Year’s Eve. The two have rekindled and called things off multiple times in the years since.

All eyes have been on Blake Lively for months — and that hasn’t stopped.

Amid the legal drama with her It Ends With Us costar Justin Balodni, Lively has started to promote a new project — Another Simple Favor. Lively, who plays Emily Nelson, alongside Anna Kendrick (Stephanie Smothers) in the sequel to A Simple Favor, kicked off the movie’s press tour in leather getups, head-to-toe Chanel outfits and more.

For their first stop in Austin, Texas, at the SXSQ Conference, Lively rocked a pastel latex dress by Renée Masoomian. As she stepped onto the carpet, she wore a sheer latex short sleeve top that layered over her dress, later revealing a plunging strapless neckline. LSU football coach Brian Kelly is speaking out for the first time after the death of player Kyren Lacy.

“Kyren was a bright star,” Kelly shared in a press conference on Tuesday, April 15, per TMZ. “He had an incredible personality. I’ll remember him as somebody that had a love for the game, a love for being a Tiger and was a guy that played with great emotion.”

Kelly, who has been the coach of LSU football since 2022, noted that when people think of the late wide receiver they’re “going to smile most of the time because of the way that he handled himself.”

“He was a guy that was full of energy,” he added.

While some of the players were set to meet with the media after Tuesday’s practice, Kelly filled in for them because he wanted to give the players more time to recover after Lacy’s death on Saturday, April 12.

“Everybody on our team has, in some way, had a relationship on different levels with Kyren,” the coach shared. “Everybody is going to deal with it differently, so first understanding that. There’s not one way you’re supposed to feel. We lean heavily on our professional counseling department. We brought them in, and having that resource here allows them to seek out that one-on-one conversation that some may need.”

Lacy’s relatives confirmed the LSU wide receiver’s death to local Louisiana outlet WAFB 9 on Sunday, April 13, with no details of his cause of death given at the time.

Less than one day after the tragic news broke, Us Weekly obtained a police report from Texas’ Harris County Sheriff’s Office sharing that deputies responded to a disturbance involving Lacy and a female family member “at approximately 11:15 PM Saturday [April 12].”

According to the report, the disturbance involved Lacy discharging “a firearm into the ground” before leaving the scene, situated within the Houston, Texas, area. A Harris County constable then spotted Lacy’s vehicle “at approximately 11:35 PM,” leading him to attempt a traffic stop. Deputies then claimed that Lacy refused to pull over, initiating a “vehicle pursuit [that] took place spanning several miles” and ended in a crash.

The report noted that “upon attempting to take Lacy into custody and remove him from the vehicle,” Lacy was “pronounced deceased at the scene.” The car Lacy was driving was registered and insured in his name. According to authorities, Lacy died of an apparent suicide.

Lacy’s death came days before he was scheduled to appear in front of a jury on Monday, April 14, following his alleged involvement in a car accident that took the life of 78-year-old Herman Hall in December 2024.

At the time, Lacy was arrested and charged with negligent homicide, felony hit-and-run and reckless driving. Authorities believed that Lacy may have caused the accident before fleeing the scene. The football player was released on a $151,000 bond and maintained his innocence until his death.

Over 25 years before he finally tasted Masters glory, Rory McIlroy was just a 9-year-old with a dream.

An adorable clip of McIlroy on Ireland’s Kelly, hosted by Gerry Kelly, in 1999 has resurfaced after the golfer completed the career grand slam with his win at Augusta National on Sunday, April 13. 

During the interview, which came after McIlroy won the U10 World Championship, Kelly asked McIlroy how he practiced his golf game when the nasty Irish weather reared its ugly head. 

“I chip air balls into my mom’s washing machine,” McIlroy said, which earned a laugh from the studio audience.

McIlroy then displayed his unique ability to chip balls into the machine live on set with a big smile on his face. 

Kelly, 76, reflected on young McIlroy appearing on his talk show during a Tuesday, April 15, interview published in the Belfast Telegraph. 

“I wish I had a pound for every time someone reminded me of that video,” said Kelly, who watched McIlroy’s Masters’ victory from his home in Ardglass, Ireland. 

“Of course you could tell back then he had a special talent,” Kelly continued. “But just how special he would be, well, I don’t think any of us ever dared believe Northern Ireland would produce this sort of sporting superstar.”

McIlroy, 35, is from Holywood, Ireland, a coastal town right outside of Belfast.

“You see a lot of kids at 9 years old who have the talent and show a lot of promise, can do the fancy tricks, win the junior tournaments,” Kelly added. “Many of them will disappear, but from that night we chatted, I’ve followed his career and he hasn’t disappeared. He continued to progress while others, who might have shared that early talent, fell away.”

McIlroy’s parents, Rosie and Jerry, were notoriously supportive of their son’s golfing aspirations, with both his mother and father taking on second jobs to help fund his blossoming career. 

During an interview with CBS’ Amanda Balionis after his win at the Masters, McIlroy gushed about his “incredible support system the whole way throughout my life.”

“As an only child, the support that I had from my parents — they saw some potential in me as a golfer and they gave me every opportunity to try to fulfill that potential,” McIlroy continued. “Talking to them on the phone after I won, my mom probably still hasn’t stopped crying.”

Now that Janelle Brown lives on a farm, BFF Christine Brown wants her to start sowing her oats with the help of the Farmers Only dating site.

“I found a lot of, like, happiness and being with [my husband] David [Woolley] and I found him through a dating site,” Christine, 52, says in Us Weekly’s exclusive sneak peek at the Sunday, April 20, episode of Sister Wives.

She explains, “So I’m thinking Farmers Only would be the perfect one for Janelle. Perfect. I’ve seen commercials and it’s people that have land.”

David, 61, reveals he’s on board with his wife’s plan for Janelle, telling the cameras, “It’s these guys, they’re big hunk dudes with the cowboy hat on plowing the fields, treating their ladies right.”

Jax Taylor is dipping his feet in the dating pool after separating from Brittany Cartwright.

One day before season 2 of The Valley premieres, the Bravo star, 45, was spotted grocery shopping with a mystery woman in Los Angeles.

After reaching out to several sources, Us Weekly can exclusively confirm the individual is esthetician Jessica Pekson.

“Jax has been casually dating Jessica for a while, but Jax isn’t exclusive to anyone,” one insider exclusively shared with Us. “He’s Jax. There’s definitely not just one woman in the picture.”

According to the insider, Pekson DMed several cast members from Vanderpump Rules offering a free facial. Since then, the Los Angeles-based esthetician has been out with Taylor several times.

Us has reached out to Taylor’s rep and Pekson for comment.

In August 2024, Cartwright, 36, filed for divorce from Taylor after five years of marriage. The couple share 3-year-old son Cruz, who was recently diagnosed with autism.

According to court documents obtained by Us, Cartwright cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their divorce. She also listed the official date of separation as January 24, 2024.

By the time cameras picked back up for season 2 of The Valley, the couple’s divorce proceedings were underway.

Taylor subsequently entered a 30-day treatment program to address his mental health struggles and later shared that he has been battling substance abuse issues. In March, he marked 100 days of sobriety.

As Taylor explores the dating world, Cartwright recently revealed she has been out on some dates, but is “not in a relationship.”

“I’m having fun with that part of my life,” she exclusively told Us on April 11. “But it’s also weird being a single mom. You have to plan things out and make things happen in a different way. … I’m very much hands on 24/7, so I have to plan that out and dealing with mom guilt and stuff is very hard too. I’m just trying to figure it out.”

Cartwright said she remains “excited for my future” as she looks for a man who is family oriented, loves kids and “understands my journey with my son.”

“That’s gonna be the most important thing no matter what,” she explained. “I just want butterflies and happiness.”

As for the thought of Taylor getting married again or being in a serious relationship down the line, Cartwright finds it hard to imagine.

Would it be hard on me? Absolutely. But I would get over it. I’d be like, ‘That’s your problem now. I’ll see how you handle it. Because I bet you ain’t going to handle it for as long as I did.’”

It’s been a timeless tradition to invite sports teams to the White House after winning a coveted championship – but not every visit has gone off without a hitch.

The custom began in 1869 when President Ulysses S. Grant hosted the Cincinnati Red Stockings — the first professional baseball team to visit the White House, per ESPN. Five decades later, the first-ever World Series championship team, the Washington Senators, reportedly met with President Calvin Coolidge in 1925.

Since then the tradition has lived on, and while the visits are a prestigious affair there have been plenty of silly moments between political officials and champion athletes. In April 2025, Vance and President Donald Trump welcomed the Buckeyes after their championship win earlier that year. While posing for pics, Vance pointed over at the bust indicating that they should pose with it in addition to Trump’s jersey and football helmet. One player nodded his head at Vance in encouragement, so the politician walked over to the trophy and attempted to pick it up.

While trying to handle the hardware, Vance seemingly struggled to lift it. When he got a hold of it thanks to some help from running back TreVeyon Henderson, the trophy separated and Vance dropped the base on the ground. Henderson and Vance attempted to put it back together, but Vance ultimately only posed with the top portion. After the moment went viral, Vance poked fun at the flub.

Prior to meeting his new girlfriend, Gerry Turner‘s closest feeling to love at first sight was on The Golden Bachelor — but not with his winner, Theresa Nist.

Speaking about his unnamed new love on the Tuesday, April 15, episode of the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast, Turner, 73, revealed his connection has been strong since the moment they met.

“I hate to say it because I know I’m going to get baseballs thrown at me. It was almost the first time I saw her,” Turner said when asked how he knew his new relationship was becoming more serious. “It was the look that she gave me. It was like, all of a sudden, I was consumed by this look and I had this actual physical feeling and I pushed it off. I go, ‘That was silly, that’s ridiculous.’ And with every encounter that feeling has instantly come back with her look and it’s like, ‘Damn, this is pretty awesome.’”

After cohost Joe Amabile asked whether Turner had felt those feelings with any women on his season, the former lead replied, “I think the closest to that was when Faith played the guitar and sang to me on I think it was the first night she got the first impression rose. That would be the closest to it. … The whole love at first sight thing, I have never been in on that. And all of a sudden, here I am, I really feel like I’m experiencing that.”

Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner Reveals He’s Dating Someone New

Despite his strong feelings, Turner ultimately sent home Martin, 62, and proposed to Theresa Nist in the season 1 finale of The Golden Bachelor in 2023. Turner and Nist, 71, tied the knot the following year, but split months later. While reflecting on his relationship with Nist, Turner shared that he’s unsure whether “anything went wrong.”

“We’ve had conversations, and I think our mutual deep devotion to our families kind of reared its head in conversations, and we started trying to find that common ground, the commonality of where we could share a life and where we could share a home and so forth,” he explained. “Her being a brand new grandmother and me having gone through the loss of a spouse and feeling the support of my daughters, it almost created a situation where we recognized fairly quickly that we weren’t going to find that spot where we could be together. And I think more than anything that was it. And I really feel like there was a mutual admiration and respect and empathy in both ways that we kind of understood the other person’s situation.”

When asked whether he thinks he would still be with Nist today if they were from the same location, Turner replied, “That’s a difficult hypothetical question.”

“Based on what I know and based on the experiences that we had back then. If you eliminate that huge obstacle, I can see no red flags,” he said. “I still don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t have worked out. But we were also so new to the relationship that we may not have uncovered that layer of the onion that could have been a problem yet. So it’s hard to answer that, really.”

Turner, who revealed his diagnosis with an incurable cancer in December 2024, admitted that he “withdrew” from Nist.

“I felt like, maybe, I was a source of bad feelings and the negativity that came out of the show and so forth,” he said. “So I kind of avoided talking to her, and not out of you know, ill will or being combat of it all, just I thought it was better if we gave each other space. Maybe I was wrong with that and now I intend to go a different direction with it.”

Gene Hackman and wife Betsy Arakawa have reportedly been laid to rest two months after their deaths.

A private memorial was held for Hackman and Arakawa in Santa Fe, New Mexico, People reported on Tuesday, April 15. The service was attended by Hackman’s three children, son Christopher Allen and daughters Elizabeth Jean and Leslie Anne, whom he shared with ex-wife Faye Maltese.

Hackman and Arakawa were found dead in their homes on February 26 at ages 95 and 65, respectively. After news broke of the couple’s passing, Hackman’s daughters and granddaughter Annie released a statement.

“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy,” the trio shared in a statement to Us Weekly. “He was loved and admired by millions around the world for his brilliant acting career, but to us he was always just Dad and Grandpa. We will miss him sorely and are devastated by the loss.”

The following month, Hackman and Arakawa’s cause of death was revealed. Hackman died of due to hypertensive atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease with Alzheimer’s disease as a significant contributing factor. Arakawa’s cause of death was due to hantavirus pulmonary syndrome. The condition is usually caused by inhaling hantaviruses that have become airborne from rodent urine, droppings or saliva, per the Mayo Clinic.

Officials said in a press conference that Arakawa likely died before Hackman, around February 12, while the Oscar winner died around February 18.

Last month, Us confirmed that Hackman and Arakawa’s remains were unclaimed. The pair’s names were included on the Office of the Medical Investigator in New Mexico’s unclaimed decedents list. If a name is on the list, the next of kin are encouraged to contact the office and speak with one of the investigators about the next steps in the release process, including how to obtain the death certificate and potential funeral assistance.

On Monday, April 14, multiple outlets reported that the New Mexico Department of Health conducted a risk assessment on the couple’s property in early March, one week after their bodies were discovered. According to the reports, dead rodents and rodent nests were found within eight detached outbuildings on Hackman and Arakawa’s estate. Rodents and feces were found in three garages, while feces were also found in two casitas and three sheds.

The Department of Health staff said the risk of exposure to hantavirus in the couple’s primary residence, which was considered clean, was low, per CNN.
