The Rookie’s Nathan Fillion Teases Return of 2 Villains This Season

Officer John Nolan and the rest of the LAPD have weathered many storms during season 7 of The Rookie — but their problems are nowhere near over, according to Nathan Fillion.

“We’re bringing back Bridget [Regan] as Monica,” Fillion, 53, exclusively told Us Weekly, hinting that the corrupt attorney has not changed her ways.

Fillion, who plays Nolan on the ABC series, described Monica Stevens as “the terrible red-headed lawyer” who is “very sharp witted [and a] nasty lady” that Regan, 43, “plays so very, very well.”

The actor revealed that Monica won’t be the only villain from seasons past that the LAPD will face before season 7 wraps.

Matthew Glave will also return as Oscar Hutchinson, Fillion confirmed. “We’ve known [him] since season 2,” he said, noting Oscar “seems affable and charming and hilarious [but] don’t turn your back on him. He will literally stab it.”

Fillion warned that while Oscar has assisted the LAPD on past cases, he only does it when it “benefits him” and that won’t be the case this time around.

“That’s his guiding star. ‘How do I come out on top of this?’” Fillion told Us of Oscar’s motives. “But again, don’t be fooled. Don’t be fooled by his affable nature. He’s a jerk.”

Oscar has been a longtime foe for the LAPD, beginning with his season 1 debut where he escaped from a prison bus when it overturned in transit. During season 2, Oscar once again tried to escape custody when he was at the courthouse for a hearing. At the time, Oscar wounded attorney Wesley Evers (Shawn Ashmore).

Do The Rookie’s Bailey and Nolan Still Want Kids After Hitman Drama?

Oscar managed to help the cops during season 2 as well after a prison riot broke out and they needed him to save the warden. Over the next four seasons, Oscar assisted the LAPD with several cases while serving his own needs and getting favors when needed.

Monica, meanwhile, joined The Rookie during season 5. She was introduced as an attorney for questionable clients and the ex-fiancé of Wesley, whom she openly hated. Throughout the series, Monica has worked with criminals that are usually at odds with the LAPD and was nearly killed on several occasions.

Monica and Oscar’s paths crossed during season 6 when she became his lawyer when he tried to sue Nolan. The two villains reconnected later that season when Monica agreed to help Oscar escape from prison — she also got Bailey Nune’s (Jenna Dewan) abusive ex-husband Jason (Steve Kazee) out of jail — in exchange for information about the man behind her own home invasion and attack that transpired during season 6.

Monica, who managed to flee capture during the season 6 finale, has stayed under the radar during season 7. Oscar has also remained on the lam, while Jason was hunted down by a hitman and killed.

“Something I actually love about long running television series is that you can introduce a character and then bring them back and have everybody be already invested in that character,” Fillion exclusively told Us, teasing the drama that’s coming later this year.

Mekia Cox, who plays detective Nyla Harper, previously told Us that Oscar’s story line for season 7 is “fun.”

The Rookie's Melissa O'Neil Says Truth About Lucy's Trainee Will Come Out

“I feel like anytime Oscar’s on screen, it’s a lot of fun,” she revealed in February, noting that Oscar is a “bad man” that is not returning to Los Angeles to help the police.

Cox, 43, explained, “This is the first time that you get to see him in a position where I think it’s been a while. There’s been a while where he’s kind of helped us. We’ve gone in and he has been there to sort of guide us. This is not the position he’s in right now.”

The Rookie airs on ABC Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET.

RHONY’s Jessel Taank Announces Her Dad Is Dead at Age 68

Jessel Taank’s father, Kishor Taank, has died. He was 68 years old.

“My Dad. My Hero. Our North Star ✨,” the Real Housewives of New York City star, 45, wrote via Instagram on Friday, March 14. “May 1956 – February 2025🤍🤍🤍.”

Jessel’s post included a slideshow of throwback pics of her dad over the years. The Bravo personality also featured notes of memories she had with her father over the years.

“If lust for life were a person, it would be my Dad,” she penned. “His adventurous spirit was rooted in his beloved Kisumu, Kenya, where he spun tales of his mischievous childhood — climbing banana trees, stirring up trouble. A true Tarzan. That was his essence.”

Why RHONY's Jessel Taank Didn’t Initially Tell Her Mom About IVF Journey

Jessel added that her dad exuded many qualities from being “fiercely passionate” to “loyal to a fault.” She shared that he had an affinity for talking economics and would offer her advice.

“He loved talking about money — ours, other people’s — always the finance guy,” she recalled. “He interrogated us about our spending habits. ‘You have to save your money,’ he warned. ‘But that’s not fun,’ I argued. ‘Being broke isn’t fun,’ he’d counter. We’d never listen.”

While looking back on her connection with her dad, Jessel recalled how interested he always was about the people around him.

“I’ve never known anyone as engaged as my Dad. He wanted Every. Single. Detail. He made friends everywhere, knew everyone, left an impression in five minutes or five hours,” she wrote. “People gravitated toward him. He only wanted to practice happiness and it was infectious — when he walked into a room, you felt the energy shift.”

Jessel also gushed about her dad’s relationship with her mom, Nicky Taank, and how their love story was one for the books.

“He married my mum — the Cindy Crawford to his bald Richard Gere — and together they built a life of family, travel and laughter,” she reflected. “‘Your parents don’t act like parents,’ people always said. They weren’t. They were my best friends — crazy, spontaneous, a little nuts.”

Jessel remembered how her dad would always pose for photos while looking at the sun, lamenting that “he’s in the very light he basked in.”

“It’s easy to be overcome with sadness, but sadness only serves our selfish purpose. Instead we move forward with gratitude,” she penned. “I’m so grateful you were my dad. We would choose you every time.”

A cause of death was not revealed.

Many of Jessel’s friends and Bravo family members took to the comments section to send their condolences.

“I’m so sorry to hear this. I feel honored to have met him,” Sutton Stracke replied. “His love for you was apparent and beautiful.”

Jessel’s RHONY costar Jenna Lyons applauded the tribute writing, “So beautiful Jessel 💔💔🕊.”

Gene Hackman and Betsy Arakawa's Dog's Cause of Death Revealed: Report

Gene Hackman and Betsy Arakawa’s dog Zinna’s cause of death has been revealed.

The Australian kelpie likely died due to dehydration and starvation, per a report from the Santa Fe County animal control agency obtained by The Associated Press on Friday, March 14.

The report notes that the canine experienced partial mummification. While the decomposition leaves some room for error, officials didn’t see any evidence of disease or poisoning. The 12-year-old dog’s stomach was empty except for some hair and bile.

Zinna’s cause of death comes one week after it was confirmed Arakawa, 65, died of hantavirus pulmonary syndrome on February 11, about a week before Hackman died. The actor, who was 95, passed due to hypertensive atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease with Alzheimer’s disease as a significant contributing factor. Due to Hackman’s Alzheimer’s condition, he may not have realized his wife passed. Both of their bodies were found on February 26, and Zinna was found dead in her crate.

Gene Hackman’s Dead Dog Was Misidentified Amid Actor’s Death Investigation

At the March 7 press conference where the couple’s causes of death were confirmed, Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza said Zinna’s body was being examined.

“On February 9, 2025 she picked up Zinna from Gruda Veterinary Hospital. There was a procedure that was done with the dog, which may explain why the dog was in a crate at the residence,” Mendoza offered.

Dr. Erin Phipps, the New Mexico state department veterinarian, assured journalists that dogs cannot get sick from hantavirus and noted that starvation was not out of the question. “I don’t think we know the answer to that, but given the timelines presented, it is a possibility,” she said at the time.

Zinna was one of three dogs in the couple’s care. The two surviving dogs, German shepherd Bear, 4, and Akita-shepherd mix Nikita, 7, eventually helped first responders find Hackman’s body when they arrived to inspect Arakawa’s body. (Maintenance staff spotted her body through a window.)

Gene Hackman and Wife Betsy Arakawa's Deaths: A Complete Timeline

While local members of the Sante Fe sheriff’s department searched the couple’s home, one of the dogs started running up to the officers and running away. Chief Brian Moya said the deputies eventually figured out that the dog wasn’t trying to play.

“They realized (the dog) was trying to say, ‘Hey, come over here! Come over here!’” Moya told USA Today. The dog led them to the mudroom, where Hackman’s body was located.

Bear and Nikita are being cared for by a Santa Fe Tails, which is owned by Joey Padilla. The owner told Fox News Digital earlier this month that Arakawa had been very close with her pups.

“These dogs were attached to Betsy. Anytime Betsy had an errand to do, they went with her,” Padilla explained. “These dogs loved going on a ride in the car with Betsy, and it didn’t matter if it was going to the store, even when we would go to dinner. We’d go to dinner and the dogs would be in the car. They were very much attached to Betsy.”

‘Million Dollar Listing L.A.’ Paused After Josh, Heather Altman’s Exits

It’s the end of an era — or at least a temporary break — for Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles, which is reportedly pressing pause ahead of season 16.

The Bravo series has not been canceled, according to TMZ, but the outlet reported on Thursday, March 13, that production has been halted for the foreseeable future. (Us Weekly reached out to the network for comment.)

Million Dollar Listing L.A.’s reported hiatus comes after several personnel shakeups rocked the franchise. Josh Altman and his wife, Heather Altman, decided to leave the series in fall 2024 after season 15 finished airing.

“This wasn’t an overnight discussion where we just decided the night before, ‘Hey, let’s do this,’” Josh, 46, exclusively told Us in November 2024. “This has been something that has kind of been coming up over the past 24 months.”

Josh and Heather Altman Call ‘Million Dollar Listing LA’ a 'Hell of a Ride’

Josh has been a staple on the reality series since season 4 in 2011. His wife, whom he wed in 2016, has popped up on the show over the years beginning in 2015 with season 8. Heather, 40, was heavily featured on seasons 14 and 15 before walking away.

Josh explained to Us at the time that after spending more quality time with his and Heather’s two children, daughter Lexi, 7, and son Ace, 5, they realized they wanted to make their family a bigger priority.

'Selling Sunset' Stars React to MDL's Josh Flagg Saying They're 'Actors'

“We can always go out there and sell houses. We can always go out there and do all these things, but we’ll never get the time back when our kids are this age,” the realtor reflected. “It’s funny, you start hanging out with your friends who have older kids, and they go, ‘Spend the time with them now because in a few years, they don’t wanna hang out with you anymore!’ Which is probably the best advice I’ve gotten in a long time.”

Earlier this year, Us confirmed that fellow Million Dollar Listing L.A. star Tracy Tutor officially departed Douglas Elliman.

She left the real estate brokerage for a new gig with Compass — but it was unclear if the move would affect her future on the show. (Tutor has been part of the Bravo series since 2017.)

Heather and Terry Dubrow Praise Son's Internship With MDLLA's Josh Altman

“My brand has always been rooted in innovation and growth, and joining Compass aligns with my vision for the future of my business,” Tutor, 49, told Us in a January statement. “This partnership will not only enhance my ability to serve clients in California and Texas but also enable me to expand my reach into new markets, elevate my team’s capabilities, and continue setting the standard in the luxury real estate industry.”

Million Dollar Listing L.A.’s cast during season 15 — which aired from July to September 2024 — also included Josh Flagg, who is the longest-running star having joined the show in 2008, and David Parnes, who has been part of the cast since 2014.

Nikki Garcia Says She’s Open to ‘Love and Not Marriage’ After Artem Divorce

Nikki Garcia is warming up to the idea of a new relationship after her divorce from Artem Chigvintsev — but she has rules.

Garcia, 41, got real about her love life during an appearance on Kristin Cavallari’s Let’s Be Honest podcast tour on Thursday, March 13. When Cavallari, 38, asked the former WWE star if she’s “still open to love,” Garcia replied that she’s open to “love and not marriage,” according to People.

“Really? You’re never gonna get married again?” Cavallari asked to which Garcia replied, “Well, I think maybe, but I don’t wanna sign paperwork again.”

The Laguna Beach alum acknowledged that getting married is “so easy to do and so hard to get out of,” seemingly hinting at her divorce with Jay Cutler. (Cavallari and Cutler, 41, separated in 2020 after seven years of marriage. The exes share three kids: Camden, 12, Jaxon, 10, and Saylor, 9.)

Nikki Garcia Reveals Whether She Would Ever Get Married Again

Garcia agreed, explaining, “I mean, [it’s] so hard. At night, [I] think about it though. This is crazy, like, it was supposed to be an act of love and now I’m in prison.”

Despite the rocky end to her marriage, Garcia told Cavallari and the crowd, “I’m definitely open to love for sure.”

The Total Bellas alum revealed that she has not begun dating again just yet, teasing that she is “almost ready” to dabble in a new romance.

Nikki’s podcast tour appearance — which she did alongside twin sister Brie Garcia — came seven months after she and Chigvintsev, 42, made headlines regarding their relationship.

Us Weekly confirmed in August 2024 that Chigvintsev was arrested for domestic battery and booked on a felony domestic violence charge following an apparent altercation with Nikki in Napa, California. (The domestic violence charges were dropped in September 2024 after an investigation.)

One week later, they both filed for divorce with Nikki seeking full custody of their son, Matteo. Chigvintsev requested joint custody of their 4-year-old and both parties filed for restraining orders against each other.

Nikki Garcia Hasn't Had 'A Day Without Tears' Since Settling Artem Divorce

Us confirmed in November 2024 that the estranged couple settled their divorce out of court. “Both parties decided to drop the domestic violence restraining orders against each other in an effort to move on with their lives and effectively coparent their son,” Nikki’s rep told Us in a statement at the time.

Nikki addressed her divorce for the first time the following month when she and Brie returned to their “The Nikki & Brie Show” podcast. “I’ve been heartbroken,” Nikki revealed in December 2024. “You dream of having this family and you have this incredible love, and it just goes the other way. You go from having a great love story to having a terrible one.”

Nikki exclusively told Us in January that she was slowly rebuilding her life as a single mom and she had no “regrets” about how she got there.

“I feel like things happen for a reason. I’m stronger today than I’ve ever been. And that’s not only for myself, but for Matteo,” she shared. “I feel like being a mother and wanting the best for my son and knowing I’ll do whatever it takes for him to have that makes you incredibly strong.”

In that same interview, Nikki exclusively told Us that while she can “definitely” see herself “falling in love again,” she was confident it wouldn’t be “anytime soon.”

Nikki Garcia and Artem Chigvintsev’s Relationship Timeline

She noted that she could be open to a possible “commitment ceremony” down the line, but was adamant that she doesn’t “ever want to sign paperwork again.”

“I don’t want to be legally [bound],” Nikki continued. “We could talk about changing names way in the future if this person is my person. [But] no paperwork.”

Chigvintsev, for his part, explained in February that coparenting with his ex-wife was “doable” and he was “happy” with being a single dad.

When asked on the “Glamorous Grind” podcast whether he could be friends with Nikki, he replied, “I mean never, say never. But there’s definitely needed to be certain conversation and certain things, acknowledgement of certain things. Yeah, I believe everybody can end up being friends.”

A Tiger Woods Biopic Is Coming, But It Won’t Address His Personal Life

A Tiger Woods biopic is on the way — but it will focus only on his legendary golf career.

Amazon MGM is developing the movie, and Barack and Michelle Obama’s company, Higher Ground, is in talks to produce. The film, which does not yet have a name, will be based on Kevin Cook’s book The Tiger Slam: The Inside Story of the Greatest Golf Ever Played.

Reinaldo Marcus Green, who directed King Richard, the movie that chronicled the rise of Venus and Serena Williams, has signed on to direct.

True to the book’s title, the movie will focus on Woods’ pursuit of what’s now known as the Tiger Slam of winning four consecutive major championships. It will also depict Woods’ decision to turn pro in 1996 at 20 years old and his meteoric rise to superstardom.

Tiger Woods Finishes 2024 Masters With Career-Worst 16-Over 304

Overall, Woods, 49, is one of the most decorated golfers of all time. He’s won the Masters five times in his career, the PGA Championship four times and both the U.S. Open and Open Championship an additional three times each.

In 1997, he became the first Black golfer to win a major when he won the Masters by the largest margin in history. As Woods’ popularity grew, so too did the sport’s, making Woods arguably the most impactful golfer ever.

But while the filmmakers plan to stick to sports, Woods’ life has been just as intriguing off the course. In 2009, reports of his extramarital affairs caused him to lose sponsorships with companies including Accenture, AT&T, Gatorade and General Motors. Woods and his wife at the time, Elin Nordegren, divorced in 2010 after six years of marriage. They share two children, daughter Sam, 17, and son Charlie, 16.

Tiger Woods’ Dating History: The Golfer’s Marriage, Mistresses and More

He has also been the victim of two car accidents, one in 2009 right as the rumors of his affair began to swirl, and another in 2021 that caused multiple leg injuries and forced him to take a break from golf. He also had a DUI arrest in 2017.

Even amid news of the upcoming biopic, Woods is making news off the green. He is currently dating Vanessa Trump, ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr., according to multiple reports. They have been together since November 2024, per the Daily Mail.

“They just love hanging out, having dinner and schmoozing together,” a source told the publication. “They’re sticking close to home, have decided not to make it a thing and go out in public. Not just yet anyway.” (Us Weekly has reached out to both Woods and Vanessa’s team for comment.)

'Hilarious' Clueless-Themed Weather Report Has People ‘Totally Buggin’

Laura Tobin‘s weather report on Good Morning Britain on Friday, March 14, instantly became viral while dividing viewers with its playful yet on-point Clueless-inspired theme.

Dressed in Cher Horowitz’s (Alicia Silverstone) iconic yellow plaid ensemble, complete with knee-high socks and a matching beret, Tobin, 43, delivered a weather forecast peppered with ’90s slang from the film.

The meteorologist’s script included phrases like “totally buggin'” and “way harsh,” reflecting the cult-classic teen comedy’s lexicon. She even advised viewers to “look stylish,” channeling the character’s fashion-forward persona.

However, the lighthearted approach sparked a mixed reaction. Social media platforms like X were flooded with comments, ranging from amusement to bewilderment.

We’re Totally Buggin’ Over Celebs Recreating Cher's Iconic ‘Clueless’ Fit

Some viewers felt the segment was “ridiculous” and inappropriate for a news program, arguing that “GMB is supposed to be a news channel first, light entertainment second.” Others expressed confusion, questioning, “Seriously, what is all that about?”

Via The Daily Mail

Despite the criticism, Tobin’s performance also garnered praise. Many found her portrayal “brilliant” and “adorable,” appreciating the nod to the beloved film. Her delivery of lines like, “Today’s weather is like a Monet, just like a painting, from far away it’s OK but from up close it’s just a big old mess,” and “Well, I invited the sunshine to make an appearance but she didn’t RSVP…rude!” showcased her impeccable comedic timing.

Ultimately, whether viewers found it “hilarious” or “fabulous,” the segment undeniably captured attention, sparking a lively debate about the balance between traditional reporting and entertainment on U.K. morning television.

Beyond the immediate entertainment value, Tobin’s choice of attire underscored the enduring appeal of Clueless fashion. Three decades later, the film’s sartorial influence remains palpable, a testament to its clever blend of playful, preppy chic and Beverly Hills-worthy rich-kid style.

The yellow plaid suit, in particular, has become a cultural touchstone, transcending its ’90s origins to resonate with contemporary audiences. This timelessness speaks to the film’s astute understanding of how fashion can be used to express personality and navigate social dynamics, making it a continued source of inspiration for designers on the runway, celebrities on Halloween and everyday fashion enthusiasts alike.

Tiger Woods Has Already Met Girlfriend Vanessa Trump's Daughter Kai

Tiger Woods and Vanessa Trump, ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr., have been “quietly dating” since November 2024, according to multiple reports, and the golf pro has already met Vanessa’s daughter Kai.

Kai, 17, is the eldest child of Vanessa and Donald Jr., both 47. The couple, who divorced in 2018, also share Donald III, 16, Tristan, 13, Spencer, 12, and Chloe, 10.

Woods, 49, was spotted with Vanessa and Kai at the Genesis Invitational at Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla, California, in February. Kai is an elite high school golfer herself and has already committed to continue her career at the University of Miami.

Though Woods was at the tournament in his signature red polo, he was merely a spectator alongside Vanessa and Kai. The legendary golfer withdrew from the field after the death of his mother, Kultida, earlier last month. He also announced on Tuesday, March 11, that he had ruptured his Achilles tendon, which will keep him sidelined even longer.

Who Is Vanessa Trump? What to Know About Tiger Woods’ Rumored Girlfriend

“As I began to ramp up my own training and practice at home, I felt a sharp pain in my left Achilles, which was deemed to be ruptured,” he explained via Instagram on Tuesday. “I am back home now and plan to focus on my recovery and rehab, thank you for all the support.”

The Genesis Invitational was a rare moment where Woods and Vanessa were spotted in public together as they’ve preferred to keep their relationship quiet over the first few months.

“They just love hanging out, having dinner and schmoozing together,” a source told the Daily Mail. “They’re sticking close to home, have decided not to make it a thing and go out in public. Not just yet anyway.” (Us Weekly has reached out to both Woods and Vanessa’s team for comment.)

Tiger Woods Finishes 2024 Masters With Career-Worst 16-Over 304

Woods also stopped by the White House in February where Vanessa’s former father-in-law, President Donald Trump, honored him during a reception celebrating Black History Month.

This isn’t Woods’ first high-profile relationship. After his divorce from ex-wife Elin Nordegren in 2010, he dated alpine skier Lindsey Vonn for three years, calling it quits in 2015.

He also dated Erica Herman for five years. News of their breakup broke when she filed a lawsuit against Woods to nullify an NDA she had signed at the beginning of the relationship. She also claimed Woods sexually harassed her while she was working at his Florida restaurant.

Herman dropped the NDA appeal and sexual assault allegations in November 2023.

Jennifer Lopez Pays Tribute to Donatella Versace’s Iconic Green Dress

Jennifer Lopez shared a sentimental (and stylish) message to Donatella Versace.

The Friday, March 14, Instagram post followed this week’s news that Donatella, 69, is stepping down as the House of Versace’s chief creative director and into a new role as chief brand ambassador after nearly 30 legendary years at the helm. On Thursday, March 13, Donatella also announced that she was “thrilled” to name her successor Miu Miu’s former design and image director, Dario Vitale.

Lopez, 55, posted a series of images dressed in Donatella’s unapologetically sexy looks throughout the years, including that green dress from the 2000 Grammys that went down in fashion history and forever changed the internet as the dress’s popularity and the difficulty in finding images of it online led to the creation of Google Images.

“Gianni would be so proud, ” Lopez began the caption. “What a journey you have been on. You are strong, resilient, powerful, talented and I am so happy that I have gotten to know you over the years.”

Donatella Versace Named Chief Brand Ambassador After 27 Iconic Years

She continued: “Together, our journey and the friendship that we have formed has been incredible. I know this next chapter will be filled with love, happiness and friendship…and whatever you want to create it to be. I am always here for you.”

Lest you forget, Lopez’s jungle-print Versace gown with a “neckline” that plunged below her navel marked a turning point for Donatella following the 1997 death of her beloved brother, Gianni Versace.

Fast-forward three years, and the viral Grammys look made Donatella a “household name,” according to the designer. “It broke the bank.” She also rates it at the top of her list of all-time favorite red-carpet Versace dresses.

20 Versace Looks That Made Red-Carpet History: From J.Lo to Dua Lipa

Meanwhile, Lopez describes the gown as “her biggest fashion moment ever,” telling Vogue in 2019 that it was “a moment in time, the power of fashion” and that it “goes to show you the power of fashion and the power of those types of moments.”

Talk about a very, very Versace look and the inimitable designer’s enduring legacy.

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s Music Video Is Full of Sexy Lingerie

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco have unveiled “Sunset Blvd,” a sultry new single and music video that was inspired by their first date, all while showcasing a compelling fashion narrative.

Produced by Blanco, 37, and shot by Petra Collins, it’s styled like an early-’80s fever dream, with a hazy lens over the camera and glowing neon street lights. The video opens with Gomez, 32, in a black satin robe and a slinky silk slip (both by Victoria’s Secret) with sheer Wolford thigh-highs and black lacquered Christian Louboutin stilettos. The Rare Beauty founder’s visage is framed by voluminous teased curls and a bold crimson lip.

Styled by Erin Walsh, the pop star seamlessly transitioned between retro pin-up imagery and a contemporary interpretation of the underwear-as-outerwear trend. One look, in particular, sees Gomez in a silk white Comme Si shirt, worn oversized as if borrowed from Blanco’s closet, and also left deliberately unbuttoned to reveal a vibrant red Fleur du Mal balconette bra underneath.

Blanco also makes an appearance in the video, dressed in a sharp white suit, which adds a contrasting element to Gomez’s sensual all-black wardrobe. One visual of Gomez as a giant, smiling and giggling at a pint-sized Blanco, references this famous scene in Francis Ford Coppola’s cult-classic 1982 film, One from the Heart, and nods to her larger-than-life celebrity.

The fact that it’s inspired by their date at Jitlada Thai Restaurant adds a layer of personal significance to the track. Ahead of the song’s release, Gomez shared an Instagram post of the couple’s “first official photo,” further blurring the lines between their private and public lives.

The chorus, with its vivid imagery of “holding you naked, middle of Sunset Boulevard,” and “everyone’s watching,” captures the essence of a love affair that plays out on the world stage.

But this wasn’t merely a playful nod to a celebrity romance and risque lingerie; it was also a cosign of a burgeoning trend that dominated the Paris Fashion Week Spring 2025 runways.

While the video’s early ’80s aesthetic may have initially suggested a purely boudoir-inspired approach to costume, a closer examination also reveals a strategic deployment of scantily clad undergarments that resonated far beyond the confines of the set.

Selena Gomez Is Mesmerizing Us With Her Paris Fashion Week Looks

At Givenchy, delicate triangle bras were artfully revealed beneath diaphanous mesh dresses, creating a compelling dialogue between vulnerability and strength. Miu Miu’s layered slips, with their subtle intimations of lace, offered a more nuanced interpretation of the trend, while Valentino, in a bold and unconventional gesture, affixed intricately crafted satin bralettes atop sheer shirts, challenging conventional notions of decorum while celebrating female sexuality.

Givenchy’s creative director, Sarah Burton, echoed this sentiment at her show last week, stating: “I want to address everything about modern women. Strength, vulnerability, emotional intelligence, feeling powerful or very sexy. All of it.” This resonated throughout the collections, transforming an exposed bra from a suggestive detail into a symbol of self-assuredness.

While undeniably alluring and mirroring the song’s intimate themes, Gomez’s own sartorial interpretation exuded confidence. It was a clear indication that lingerie is no longer confined to the realm of the male gaze but rather has evolved into a powerful symbol of female agency.

Indeed, “Sunset Blvd” is more than just a song; it’s a fashion-forward exploration of a modern romance, where intimacy and theatrics intertwine. Gomez and Blanco are not just sharing their music; they are sharing their story, with every carefully chosen outfit and every breathy lyric.

In the comments section of the post, fans jokingly asked whether Ciara was “taking clients,” hoping she could successfully set them up as well.

Tossing and Turning All Night? Grab This $24 Sleep Aid That Helps You Drift Into Deep Rest

In honor of Sleep Awareness Week, which takes place from March 9 to March 15, we’re taking a little extra time to think about our sleep habits. Even the best mattresses, pillows and blankets can’t solve common sleep struggles for adults and kids alike. That’s where a sleep aid — like a supplement or smart sleep technology — comes to the rescue.

NuBest is a family-friendly brand offering natural-based brain supplements for kids, teens and adults. The brand’s supplements and vitamins are FDA-certified and made in the U.S., and its effective solutions ensure children and teens are getting enough nutrients to help them thrive both physically and mentally.

When it comes to promoting better sleep, the NuBest Sleep Xtra is a non-habit-forming sleep aid suitable for teens and adults. Not only does the supplement help you fall asleep faster, it promotes staying asleep without interruptions, helping you wake up refreshed and aware.

Formulated with vegan, gluten-free and non-GMO ingredients, the capsules include vitamin B6, calcium, magnesium, L-theanine and more herbs and botanicals. Adults are recommended to take two capsules 30 minutes before bed (you can also start with one capsule and work up to two). Teens and children 10-years-old and up should take one capsule 30 minutes before bed.

As one reviewer explains, “Being a new mom, getting enough sleep has been a challenge. But since I tried Sleep Xtra, it indeed helps me relax and unwind after a long day, allowing me to drift off into a peaceful slumber.”

Another happy shopper says, “I have struggled with bad sleep for a while and tried so many things with little success. A friend recommended this, so I gave it a shot. Within the first week, I was already sleeping deeper and not waking up as much. After a month, my sleep is way more consistent, and I wake up feeling refreshed.”

Give yourself the gift of better rest. Head to NuBest now and stock up on the sleep aid while it’s just $24!

3 Underrated Amazon Prime Video Movies You Should Stream This Weekend

In the mood for a little love and espionage? If yes, then chances are you’re probably watching Black Bag in theaters this weekend.

The Steven Soderbergh thriller, which stars Cate Blanchett and Michael Fassbender, has received rave reviews, and is the rare wide-release movie aimed at adult audiences.

If you’re not in the mood to venture out, there are plenty of options to choose from at home. Amazon Prime Video has tons of movies, and the following three are just the ticket for you to unwind and escape reality for a couple of hours.

My Old Ass (2024)

Elliott (Maisy Stella) is at a crossroads. She’s about to leave for college, and is in a casual relationship with another girl, Chelsea (Alexandria Rivera). One night, she takes some psychedelic mushrooms with her friends and hallucinates a future version of herself, Older Elliott (Aubrey Plaza). Proving she is, in fact, real, Older Elliott cryptically tells her three things: spend more time with your family, appreciate the farm that you grew up in, and avoid a boy named Chad. She disappears, but leaves her number in younger Elliott’s phone.

That’s the far-out premise of My Old Ass, a comedy that isn’t ashamed to be sentimental. Elliott doesn’t exactly believe anything her future self says at first, but gradually, she finds herself growing closer to her family. Chad eventually appears, and it’s in this development that My Old Ass reveals itself as an effective tearjerker in disguise. Plaza is great as always; if everyone grew up to be like Older Elliott, we’d all be just fine.

My Old Ass is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Party Girl (1995)

Parker Posey is back in the zeitgeist, and generating tons of shareable GIFs, with her sly comedic turn as a rich Southern wife and mom in The White Lotus Season 3, so it’s only appropriate to watch the movie that made her the darling of the ‘90s independent scene. In Party Girl, Posey stars as Mary, a free spirit who prefers buying couture clothes to paying the rent. But when she’s arrested for throwing a rave and has to repay her godmother for bailing her out, she decides to work at the New York Public Library to make some quick cash.

At first, she hates it, but gradually, she becomes enamored with the Dewey Decimal System and a lifestyle free of empty parties and bad voguing. When her budding romance with street vendor Mustafa (Omar Townsend) threatens her new calling, Mary must make some hard choices about where her life is headed, and if she can truly commit to being a librarian.

'The White Lotus' Season 3 Star-Studded Cast: Where You Know Them From

Party Girl sounds dry, and while it’s very ‘90s, it’s also a stellar vehicle for Posey’s talent. Mary is difficult and needy, but she’s also a blast to hang around with, and Posey makes her journey from club kid to book nerd funny and interesting. Look for Scandal’s Guillermo Diaz in an early role as Leo, Mary’s DJ roommate; his look of disbelief at Mary on the dance floor is priceless.

Party Girl is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Babylon (2022)

If you think Hollywood is morally bankrupt now, wait until you see what it was like in the 1920s. Damien Chazelle’s decadent epic Babylon takes you inside all the excesses of Tinseltown in the Jazz Age, when the booze flowed freely and orgies were as commonplace as movie premieres.

Into this modern Sodom and Gomorrah wanders young Manny Torres (Diego Calva), who wants to be in show business. He finds a kindred spirit in Nellie (Margot Robbie), a wild starlet who isn’t shy about dancing proactively at parties and doing drugs. As the years pass, their fortunes rise and fall, and both find out there’s a high cost to achieving their dreams of silver screen fame.

Margot Robbie Says Stripping Down on ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ Was Her Idea

Babylon is primarily for movie lovers, who will dig all the allusions to real-life silent era titans like Clara Bow, Fatty Arbuckle, and Charlie Chaplin, but it’s also for anyone looking for a movie about debauchery among the rich and depraved. Among the stacked cast is Brad Pitt, who’s terrific as the fading matinee idol Jack Conrad, and Jean Smart, who has a few great moments as the tough gossip columnist Elinor St. John. The ending is bittersweet, and one of the best odes to the power of movies ever made.

Babylon is available to rent or purchase on Amazon Prime Video.

Kaitlyn Bristowe Has Thoughts About Marriage After 2 Past Engagements

Kaitlyn Bristowe is not giving up on finding The One, despite two failed engagements.

“I love love. I really do. I’m a sucker for it,” Bristowe, 39, said during an “I Choose Me With Jennie Garth” podcast episode, released on Friday, March 14. “I do like the idea of marriage. I do like the idea of having a family. But I don’t know if anything’s changed.”

She continued, “Sometimes I think I need to soften up a little bit because I do love love, but I try to be too tough sometimes.”

Bristowe admitted that “deep down” she’s more of a lover than anything else.

“I think I’ve always had the same beliefs and thoughts and ideas of what love is,” she added. “It’s just I think I’ve maybe gotten more secure in my own self so I can talk about it differently now.”

Kaitlyn Bristowe Jokes About '2 Failed Engagements' After Jason Tartick Split

Bristowe detailed some major breakups in her life, including her two past engagements. The former Bachelorette star left her season of the show in 2015 engaged to Shawn Booth. They split in November 2018. Bristowe moved on with Jason Tartick in 2019. He proposed in 2021 but by 2023 they had called it quits.

Bristowe briefly explained that she and Tartick, 36, “just were not compatible at all whatsoever at the end” of their relationship, which is what ultimately led to their split.

The “Off the Vine” podcast host said that going forward she plans to keep things on the private side when it comes to her love life.

“I just feel like I really would like to try a different approach this time. Although I kind of find myself feeling guilty about that, because I do share so much, and I do feel like that’s part of who I am as an open book, and sharing everything, and not caring what people think,” she said. “But when it comes to dating right now, I just feel like I want to keep it so sacred.”

Kaitlyn Bristowe’s Dating History: Bachelor Romances, Engagements and More

As for what she’s looking for in a relationship, Bristowe said it’s “important” for her to find someone who has “also done the work.”

Bristowe has been sparking romance rumors with fellow Bachelor Nation alum Zac Clark since 2024. Neither of them have publicly addressed speculation thus far.

“That’s shown up in my life right now. I’m not not dating. I’ve been consistently on a date with somebody,” Bristowe said. “That’s as much as people know, and it’s really like kind of helping me believe in people again. I think that’s also my problem.”

16 Next Generation Hair Care Products Starting at $11 That Make Beautiful Hair a Breeze

Hair is an important part of your overall look, whether you’re a curly girl, rocking a mullet, or bald. And while hair products are a great way to make sure the top of your head looks and feels good, we’ve become accustomed to decades of products that are full of plastics and other harmful chemicals. That’s why we’re thrilled about the next generation of hair care products, that make beautiful hair a total breeze. Most can be purchased from Amazon, too, so you can have them sent to your doorstep.

Fun Options For Curly Girls

Maintaining curly hair requires a little more work. But these days, we’re all about enhancing our curls, rather than ironing them out

1. Curl Cleanser. Shampoo can severely strip your hair of its natural oils, which are in short supply with curly hair. That’s why we love products like DevaCurl NoPoo Cleanser, which gently wash our luscious locks.

2. Curl Definer. Moroccan oil is known for its ability to nourish hair while calming frizz — which is something all curly haired folks could use! Moroccanoil Curl Defining Cream helps define your curls without bringing out frizz. It also nourishes and softens your hair to make it silky smooth.

3. Curl Cream. Enhance your curls sans sulfates and parabens, with SheaMoisture Curl Enhancing Cream. It contains coconut, hibiscus and other natural ingredients that result in thick curls. It also adds softness, calms frizz and it’s enriched with proteins that will make your hair stronger, long-term.

4. Curl La La. Shea butter and olive oil makes this lightweight curl defining custard a timeless solution. Aunt Jackie’s Curl La La is made for all hair types and textures, and helps manage tame and unruly frizz. It’s also restorative, so it can be used daily after shampooing for added hair health — not just for styling purposes.

Thicken Those Locks

While thinning hair isn’t ideal, it’s nothing to be ashamed of. Anyone can experience thinning, regardless of age or gender. And there are so many products these days that can help strengthen your hair, and protect it from falling out.

1. Hair Thickening System. Revive your mane with Nioxin Scalp Hair Thickening Systems. Whether you have damage from coloring your hair or if you’re simply experiencing thinning, it’s a great way to strengthen and boost your hair density, using the powers of niacinamide and biotin. Each set comes with a shampoo, conditioner, and after-shower foam treatment, to give your locks another life.

2. Thickening Conditioner. Nutrafol Conditioner is lightweight and color-safe, containing science-backed ingredients that moisturize and nurse your hair back to health. It fights and defends against hair damage, offering your hair a second chance. It’s slightly on the expensive side — about $44 a bottle as of publication — but it could be worth it to save your mop.

3. Hair Loss Treatment. Hair loss doesn’t discriminate — it can happen to anyone. And RootStim Minoxidil Hair Loss Treatment Serum, which is marketed for men and women, is infused with rosemary for faster-growing and stronger hair. It’s phthalate-, gluten- and paraben-free. It promises results in 12 weeks, so why not give it a shot?

4. Fuller Hair Serum. Whether you’re shedding or simply want a more luminous head of hair, Vegamour Gro Hair Serum is an ultra popular product. The brand is known for its cruelty-free, vegan and non oily formulas. And the brand promises fuller-looking hair in as little as 90 days… so why not start the process now?

Ultra Clean Beauty Products

Even though clean beauty can mean a lot of different things, we’re looking for products that don’t come with questionable chemicals. There are so many brands these days offering healthy products we can feel good about, so below are a few favorites.

1. Clean Clay. With the tagline “Clay pomade without the nasties,” Firsthand Supply Clay Pomade has to be good. This popular product holds your hair style for long periods of time, without parabens, sulfates, silicone and phthalates. Choose between a few different scents, and rest assured it works on all hair styles and textures.

2. Morrocon oil. Hair oil is an essential aspect of many hair routines — particularly for those who experience dryness or to define curls. Morroconoil Treatment is one variety that we’re clearly a fan of, because its leading ingredient — Moroccan oil — leaves hair soft and smooth, naturally. And because it doesn’t come with any questionable ingredients.

3. Peptide Serum. Hair serum is one of the latest products added to our hair care routines, thanks to its thickening peptides and lightweight formula. In addition to making your hair thicker, it also supports scalp health. The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Serum for Hair Density is fragrance-free, and free of silicone, sulfate, aluminum and coal tar.

4. Botanical Shampoo and Conditioner Set. Even though most of us aren’t thinking about what goes into our shampoo, many are filled with microplastics and other harmful substances. But OUAI Fine Shampoo and Conditioner Set is free of nasty chemicals, while keeping fine hair pampered with keratin, marshmallow root, shea butter and avocado oil. Sounds so good, we could eat it (but please don’t).

Cruelty-Free Dyes to Spice Up Your Life

Hand of woman pouring hair dye mixing ingredient in bowl

Whether it’s permanent or semi-permanent, hair dye is made with harsh ingredients. That’s why it’s so shocking that many dyes are tested on animals. That’s why we always recommend opting  for vegan and cruelty-free varieties when you can.

1. Herbal Tints. Fend off grays with Herbatint Permanent Hair Dye. With 30 different shades, you can go from ice blonde to dark chestnut, without having to make a hair appointment. It’s free of animal products, so you don’t need to worry about its environmental impact. And it’s alcohol free, to avoid that nasty burning sensation we all dread with box dyes.

2. Vegan Semi-Permanent. Whether you’re emulating Billie Eilish with some light green ombré, or going for bright blue, Arctic Fox Semi-Permanent Hair Dye comes in a number of fun colors, without impacting the animals. Its products are vegan and cruelty-free, and they’re less than $20 — a total steal.

3. Colors Without Cruelty. Everyone who’s put neon streaks in their hair is likely familiar with MANIC PANIC Semi-Permanent Dye. It’s well-respected for its vegan and cruelty-free formula, as well as its fun colors (the one above is fuchsia, but there are a ton of options!).

4. Hayley Williams’ Good Dye. Paramore’s lead singer, Hayley Williams, debuted her own brand of vegan and cruelty-free hair dye called Good Dye Young Semi-Permanent Hair Color. And with her legendary firetruck red hair — we totally trust her with our locks. They come in both fun and professional colors, and they offer UV protection, so the color won’t fade in the sun.

Backstage Pass: Dorothy Martin Talks Slash Friendship and New Album

Dorothy frontwoman Dorothy Martin is fresh off of writing her “heaviest” album yet, and she hopes the meaning behind the music resonates with fans, she revealed in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly.

“I think there’s just really positive messages about faith and overcoming brokenness and challenges,” the rock singer, 38, told Us, referring to the title track “The Way.”

The new album, out Friday, March 14, is “like a love letter to our fans, just reminding them to hold onto hope,” Martin explained. “It’s also the heaviest album I’ve made, but there’s a little bit of outlaw country vibes on some of the songs. So it’s pretty eclectic.”

Martin’s band Dorothy has been a part of the rock scene since 2014. Their latest single “Tombstone Town,” which dropped in February, boasts a collaboration with guitar legend Slash. And the singer was excited for fans to see her other creative side by showing off her acting skills.

Gavin Rossdale Takes Us Backstage on Bush's 'Loaded: Greatest Hits' Tour

“It was one of the most fun videos I’ve gotten to make. I’ve always wanted to somewhat act a little bit. So we went for that Quentin Tarantino Grindhouse vibe on the video, with actors and some narrative storytelling.”

Below, the rock goddess gives Us the inside scoop on her band’s new album, wild tour stories and more:

Backstage Pass Dorothy Martin
Dorothy Martin Miikka Skaffari/FilmMagic/Getty Images

Us Weekly: You describe The Way as your heaviest album. How so?

Dorothy Martin: It’s heavy, but there’s also some songs I think that could really cross over maybe the Top 40 or Christian radio — even country. But we can’t just abandon our fan base, so there’s some really heavy guitars and there’s two songs “I Come Alive” and “The Devil” — those are the heaviest songs on the album. So we had to throw a little bit of that in there, and that’s true to my roots.

Us: Tell Us about working with rock icon Slash.

DM: When you meet people that you look up to and they happen to be down to earth and humble and kind, and all those wonderful things despite the legendary status that they’ve achieved — he’s one of those people. He just puts you at ease and makes you feel comfortable.

Us: What’s the best advice Slash gave you?

DM: Something that we both relate to and have in common is being in recovery. Because in rock and roll, it’s just been so glamorized, and addiction and alcoholism runs in my family. He looked at me and he was like, ‘This is your year. This is your time, and all you gotta do is stay sober, don’t self-sabotage, don’t get in your head and keep doing what you’re doing’. So it’s so nice to have mentors and friends that have been through it — that have been in the industry, that are veterans, that are also sober. Because it can be very scary to be sober, and you don’t have to do it alone. It’s just a better way to live, and it’s a message I want to share with anyone who’s reading this.

JoJo’s Pre-Show Ritual Starts With Coffee and a Workout

Us: Making music seems very healing for you.

DM: It’s healing for me, but it’s not about me — it’s a much bigger picture than that. I hope it’s healing for millions and millions of people. If one lyric, if one song can plant the seed and save someone’s life, that’s what it’s all about. We’re in this together, you don’t have to do this alone. So I have to remember, it’s bigger than me.

Music, for me, used to be so one dimensional, and now it’s a broader thing of this is a vehicle for a message. So I have to be responsible with it.

Us: Do you have a dream collaboration you’d love to become a reality?

DM: There’s been many. [laughs] Macy Gray and I got to do a remake of [a] Dolly Parton song with Dolly Parton. I love Dolly Parton. Country music is the reason I sing, because when I started teaching myself to sing, it was country songs for some reason. And then I branched out into rock and all this other stuff.

But, collaboration-wise, that’s such a good question. Hardy would be really cool. Lainey Wilson would be freaking awesome. And if I could go back and do something like a duet with Johnny Cash, I would in a heartbeat.

Dorothy Martin

Us: When you prep for a show is there something you always have to do before you get on stage?

DM: I gotta pray. Stay hydrated. Try to stay calm. I always make sure I’m in my stage outfit [and] my makeup, well in advance, ’cause that’s the last thing that I wanna worry about and get my voice warmed up and feeling good. And then it’s like that Carrie Underwood song, “Jesus Take the Wheel.” Whatever happens on that stage happens.

Us: Do you ever get nervous before you hit the stage?

DM: It’s more fun now. I used to get very, very nervous, but after doing it for a while, it’s more fun and exciting, you know? Of course, we have good shows and bad shows, and I just try to live in the moment. And if we have a bad show, for example, it’s like, ‘Eh, it’s over with now.’ It’s in the past. I’m looking forward to the next one, but I wouldn’t say I get scared. It’s exciting. You get very excited, you get jacked up and it’s fun.

Us: Is there anything you do to calm yourself down a little bit before you take the mic?

DM: Yeah, like kickboxing or something, or I’ll just try to shake the nervous energy out of my body. Or I sometimes just crack jokes. Or make really strange noises, deep breathing. Sometimes [that] helps.

Alexandra Kay Details ‘Craziest’ Tour With Jelly Roll: 'A Lot of Fun'

Us: Obviously, tons of fans are in the audience, and you never know what kinds of things they’ll want — an autograph or a request. Have there been any that made you laugh or even raised an eyebrow?

DM: It’s always weird when someone says, ‘Sign my sweaty boob’ because it ruins our Sharpies, and then our Sharpies don’t work anymore. [laughs] So they like guitar picks, they want memorabilia. They want selfies. They wanna just high five or a hug. We give them whatever we have on hand. Sam Colton, my guitar player, he throws guitar picks out in the crowd all the time, and they love that.

Us: It can be kind of unpredictable when it comes to audience interaction — from singing off-key to holding up their phones to record. How do you keep your focus when you’re on stage? Or do you just play along with the audience?

DM: There are things that can be distracting. I’ve had people up in my face with a camera [throughout] a whole show and it can kill the vibe, but that only really happens in a super intimate setting — a small club where someone’s a little too close for comfort. You just go into a mindset. I just go into performance mode. I don’t know what happens, I just let the spirit take over and go for it.

If it’s close contact and they’re singing off-key [laughs], that’s why we have in-ear monitors. I don’t wanna hear them, but sometimes I’ve pulled my in-ears out and they’ll be singing off-key, and usually I’ll just crack a joke.

Dorothy Martin
Jonathan Weiner

Us: What’s your craziest concert or tour experience?

DM: The best show — the biggest, most-awesome moment — was when we played Welcome to Rockville [music festival], a couple years back. I think Metallica was headlining. It was 30 or 40,000 people. One of the bands left because someone thought that they had Covid, and they bumped us to a later slot. And so with the changeover, they made the crowd wait a little bit, and the sun was going down and they started chanting my name, which has never happened.

It was just a huge sea of people that were excited to be at a concert. They were probably very excited that Metallica was coming soon thereafter. But it was an awesome show. I have a picture that my tour manager took [that was] blown up in my office, and that’s just a moment I’ll never forget.

Sara Bareilles Shares the Pre-Show Ritual She’s Had for Decades

Us: What did that feel like?

DM: I was touched and shocked. The audience really affects the show. Their energy really affects us. Artists, we’re very empathetic and intuitive, and we can feel all their energy. Sometimes you get a bad crowd, and that’s tough. You have to kind of fake it and be a professional, and do your job and sing through the set. But when you have a rowdy, fun electric crowd, there’s nothing like it.

Us: What song is the most challenging to perform live?

DM: “Gifts From The Holy Ghost” can be really hard because the verses start out actually in my higher end of my range. So we put that later in the set, so that everyone’s a little warmed up. It’s a high energy song, but it’s also a really rewarding song. It’s fun to sing live, even if it’s challenging. But if I’m having a super tough vocal day, it wouldn’t be the first song I pick. [laughs]

Us: How about your favorite song to play live?

I feel like that changes with each album. Because there’s songs that I’ve been singing for a decade, and then there’s songs that are new that we’re gonna rehearse and try out for this upcoming tour that starts in April. So I’m really looking forward to trying out “Tombstone Town.”

“Mud” was so much fun to do live. I was flying by the seat of my pants. I didn’t get a chance to rehearse. We had two shows with Godsmack; we were opening for them. I literally didn’t get a chance to rehearse, and I thought, ‘Oh no, I’m gonna have to sing to tracks.’ And somehow we got to soundcheck and I tried it a few times and I’m like, ‘Oh, this is super fun.’

Kylie Jenner and More Top Celeb Scents: ‘I Get So Many Compliments!’

Consider this the perfect excuse to spruce up your scent wardrobe and claim a new signature scent that leaves people asking, Is that you who smells so good?

After browsing the internet for your next best spritz, you’re bound to stumble upon more than one celebrity fragrance, which led Us to think: Why is the celebrity fragrance world so alluring?

We tapped former NYT perfume critic Chandler Burr for an explanation, and the reason is surprisingly simple. People want to “participate in the celebrity’s world,” he said. “You’re putting an intimate thing, a thing they’ve poured themselves into and that they wear on their skin, on your skin.”

So if you’re wondering where to spend your money exactly, the author of The Emperor of Scent and The Perfect Scent shared an easy tip. “Put on the damn perfume a few days in a row and see how it performs,” he quipped. “Forget the price. Forget the celeb or the brand. Just buy the damn perfume.”

Below, a round-up of the latest and greatest celebrity fragrances — from Kylie Jenner‘s highly-anticipated Cosmic 2.0 and Rihanna’s new iteration of Fenty Eau de Parfum, to the legendary bottles that left an unforgettable trail over the years.

Burr refers to Chanel's debut fragrance Chanel N°5 Parfum — launched in 1921 — as a "celebrity fragrance" since people were "fascinated by [Coco Chanel].” While "99.99 percent of people couldn't afford a Chanel jacket, 99.99 percent of people could afford a bottle of Chanel perfume." (Previous faces of the one-of-a-kind spritz include Gisele Bündchen, Nicole Kidman and Marion Cotillard.)

Released in 1947, Dior's original scent, Dior Miss Dior Parfum, was considered another "celebrity" perfume according to Burr. Why? Well, the public was enchanted with Christian Dior.
